We continue our recap of the “Last Man Standing” part of our PPV. The first bout on the card is Super Warrior vs. John Morrison. SW did lots of grunting and growling which prevented the match from starting on time. Basically tired of it, Morrison started to walk away. He was about to get counted out until he grabbed a chair and nailed SW on the head resulting in a DQ. So instead of losing by countout, he gets DQ’d. Whatever.
Winner: Super Warrior by DQ
Originally, Christian had requested a rematch against John Cena on tonight’s card. Since he was appeased and got the IC title instead, this match was postponed. Christian has told us that he and John will be meeting again. This time it will be a champion vs. champion and Captain Charisma will walk away with the World title.
The next match on the card is MVP defending the Cruiserweight title against Rey Mysterio. Mysterio dedicated this match to the late great Eddie Guerrero. Mysterio had MVP down and was getting ready to deliver the 6-1-9 to MVP until the ref went down. Chavo jumped in the ring and helped MVP double-team the challenger. Both hit their specialty moves and just about as the ref was waking up, MVP made the cover and got the 3 count.

Next match is sort of a revenge match with Samoa Joe taking on the lying, cheating, stealing Jeff Jarrett. Joe didn’t waste any time showing who the better man was and after connecting with a muscle buster, he went for the cover but JJ kicked the ref resulting in a DQ. At this time, William Regal came out and changed this match to a no-DQ. While Jarrett cried, Joe connected with another muscle buster and got the 3 count.
Winner and NEW North American Champion: Samoa Joe.
After the match, Jarrett and Regal had some words. Jarrett did not look like he was going to win that argument.
The next match scheduled is MW3 defending the TV title against Shawn Michaels. Just prior to the match starting, Michaels is approached by Batista. Dave wants to know why Michaels hasn’t done what he did and back out of the challenge against Ric Flair. Shawn said he would not back down form any challenge and as Ric stated, “If the fans choose me, who am I to disagree.” Batista called him a cocky SOB and said “You’re showing your true colors now Shawn. You better be careful.”
MW3 is in the ring waiting on Shawn to come down. Apparently, Shawn’s refusal to back down appears to be showing a spike in the voting ranking. Lots of votes coming in for Shawn now. He finally makes it down and introduces himself to MW3 as “The Showstopper”, “The Main Event”, and “Mr. Wrestlemania”. MW3 shrugs and attacks Michaels. Shawn finally gets MW3 down and just as he connects with Sweet Chin Music, Batista and HHH come out. Shawn is puzzled why they are coming to ringside. This gives MW3 just enough time to connect with the Spike and covers Shawn to get the pin and retain the belt.

The Tag Team Championship is on the line next with defending champs Donnie B & Negronomicon taking on Chavo Guerrero and Paul London. Chavo and N start off with a flurry of high flying moves. London gets tagged in with Donnie B. While this is going on in the ring, Rey Mysterio comes in from the crowd and attacks Chavo. The two of them go off fighting in the crowd leaving the champs double-teaming London. Donnie B connects with the Lights Out Brainbuster but just like last time, Negronomicon tags himself in, hits the Black Doom and covers Paul for the 1-2-3.

Backstage, Shawn Michaels has confronted both HHH and Batista accusing them of costing him the TV title. Batista pie-faces Michaels and says he’s late for his match. HHH tells Shawn to go cool off and let it go.
The returning Chris Jericho is up next taking on the monster Batista. Just as the bell rang, Shawn Michaels walks out with a chair and sits down at ringside. Batista, concerned, loses focus allowing Jericho to lock in the Walls of Jericho. Batista reaches for the ropes and as the ref tries to get Jericho to release the hold, Shawn gets up and delivers an elbow to Batista’s head making him let go of the ropes. Shawn leaves and Jericho pulls Dave back to the middle of the ring and re-applies the Walls of Jericho. A minute of agony and Batista taps out.
Winner: Chris Jericho
I think this next match is probably the most hyped of the entire PPV. Two Iconic characters meet in the ring for a staredown: The Undertaker vs. Sting. Match starts off with both men locking up but neither gives any ground. First real offense comes after Undertaker tosses Sting out of the ring. He’s not out that long as he comes back with a huge dropkick taking Undertaker off his feet. He then hits Taker with a Scorpion death drop and follows it up with a Scorpion Death lock but Taker makes it to the ropes to break the hold. His leg is hurt so he won’t be doing any “Old School” off the top rope but he does manage to hit Sting with the tombstone piledriver and get a 2 count. Sting misses a stinger splash and Taker hits the Last Ride but only for a 2 count. Another missed clothesline from Sting results in another Last Ride from the Undertaker. This time, Sting is done. The bell rings.
Winner: The Undertaker
Our second to last match on the card is HWF Champion Booker T vs CSWA Champion John Cena. The winner of this match takes on Kurt Angle for the Undisputed Heavyweight Championship.
Booker is all over Cena and doesn’t let up. Cena has lots of ring rust but Booker is like a well oiled machine. Cena does manage to hit 2 back to back F-U’s but its not enough to keep the HWF Champ down. Cena goes for the “You can’t see me” and Booker hits the Spinnarooni. Cena, confused, drops. Booker makes the cover and gets the win.
Winner: Booker T. He gets to wrestle Kurt Angle for the Undisputed Heavyweight Championship.
Booker is still in the ring fresh off his win against Cena. Angle comes down with the Undisputed Championship. Angle promises Booker will not win. Booker throws it into high gear and totally puts Angle off his game. Booker connects with a Book-End but not enough for a pin. Angle is totally being dominated here. Out of nowhere, Angle hits the Angle Slam putting Booker down. Angle then locks in the Angle lock and Booker TAPS. HOLY CRAP! Where did that come from? Winner and still Undisputed Champion: Kurt Angle
Just as the show is getting ready to end, Randy Orton comes out and says he wants to use his MITB award. He says that Booker only lost once today but Cena lost twice. He says he wants to make it 3 and challenges Cena for the CSWA World Heavyweight Championship.
Cena, clearly not happy with his performance this evening, comes out to a mixed reaction from the crowd. John is trying to look happy but its clear he’s not. Orton comes out like a raging fire and takes the champ down a couple of pegs. Things are not going John’s way. All of a sudden, Orton leaves the ring to go pose for some ladies. This gives John the opportunity to get his head on straight. As soon as Orton gets back in the ring, he is met with an F-U. John is back. The crowd is behind him. Orton is totally confused now. John hits Randy with a flurry of offensive moves not seen since the heyday of the late great Chris Benoit (GOD rest his soul). John hits another F-U and gets the 3 count. He has redeemed himself in this match.

We have our results from the poll and this shows who the fans are really behind. 3 wrestlers are eliminated from future voting. Next week, 3 more wrestlers will be eliminated from voting.
