To all of our wrestling fans: it is with a sad and heavy heart that we mourn the passing of one of the greatest in-ring competitors “The Crippler” Chris Benoit. We, in both the CSWA and HWF, do not in any way, shape or form, condone any actions that surround the mystery of his death and the death of his family, but we do not want to forget what he has done for the world of professional wrestling. Chris Benoit was probably the one athlete in the HWF and his brief stint in the CSWA who had the greatest impact on our sport. He was by far the longest reigning Undisputed Heavyweight Champion. He held the HWF world title on many occasions and participated in some highlighted feuds. I had the privilege to be in the same ring as him. Even though I was unsuccessful in getting a win against this man, I do acknowledge the fact that he was possibly the most technical wrestler we have had the pleasure of not only watching him wrestle but compete against him also. We will mourn the loss of Chris Benoit, the wrestler. Thank you Chris for everything you have done and for the entertainment you have provided. You will be missed.

Hello wrestling fans. I, Donnie B, first of all have to apologize for the lack (none actually) of communication this year. The last newsletter that was sent out, in fact, was the details from last year’s Starcade event. I wish I could find some excuse for not publishing anything but I will not go that route. In just what has been unfortunate timing, I have not had/found adequate time to doing the newsletter duties. In fact, I have been submitting wrestling information every year in some way, shape or form since 1985. I guess you can say I finally got burned out. I know that is not an excuse – it is just the way things have been. As of late, I have been getting the “writing bug” again and think I am ready to resume the duties involved with this newsletter. I will not guarantee that I will get information out as I had done in the past. I will try and do my best though to stay on top of this as this is something I have always enjoyed doing. Well, enough of this. Let’s get on to some real news.

With the passing of Chris Benoit, I have decided, having thought long and hard on this, to create our own version of the Wrestling Hall of Fame. The people who will be inducted will be individuals that have been involved with this “game” ever since I got involved with it back in 1985. With the exception of a few individuals who had their careers ended prematurely, all the inductees include all those that have passed on.. With that in mind, it is my pleasure to announce the “Class of 2007”.

Our next piece of information pertains to the retirement of some of our athletes. We have 7 performers who have decided to hang up their boots and tights. Those who have chosen to not renew any of their contracts with either federation include HWF World Heavyweight Champion RVD, CSWA TV Champ Konnan, The Big Show, Spike Dudley, Justin Credible, Sabu, and Bradshaw. We wish these individuals the best of luck and we plan to leave the door open for them to return at any time. On a side note, when it came time to relinquish the belts, Konnan took the TV title and ran. Last thing we heard, he tried to sell it on ePay (not eBay but a bad rip-off. eBay would not let him post it because it was reported as stolen) but no one was bidding. The company is expecting Mr. Apodaca, the current GM of the CSWA (and Konnan’s biggest supporter) to provide restitution and replace the belt that was “stolen” under his watch.

Last year, we saw the feud between the Negronomicon and Scott Steiner end with the retirement of Mr. Steiner. Since that time, Scott Steiner has come to new terms with us and has been signed to a new contract. Prior to signing the new contract, Scott went to Puerto Rico to hang out. While down there, our own resident smart-ass Negronomicon was down there working at a show. After his match had ended, Steiner attacked Negronomicon and beat him up pretty bad. The following day, we received a report that Scott Steiner had been attacked and hospitalized. The extent of the injuries suffered by Scott Steiner prevented him from being able to fly back to the US as his injuries were so bad. When trying to examine footage of the incident, eye-witnesses only could describe the attacker as a “big black man”. We won’t be jumping to any conclusions but in this person’s eyes, I would think that Negronomicon isn’t as innocent as he may claim. When questioned about this, all Negronomicon would do was quote a line from “The Untouchables”: “He sends one of yours to the hospital, you send one of his to the morgue. THAT’s the Oakland way.” (Negronomicon hails from Oakland) I guess once Scott returns to the US and is cleared again to wrestle, we should see what happens from this.

Also last year we had Mr. Apodaca step in for the absent Mr. Meyers. Since then, Mr. Apodaca had tried to take total control of the CSWA but his plans were thwarted by Donnie B. AA still has controlling interest in the CSWA and it was determined that both AA and Mr. Meyers would choose one wrestler to act on their behalf. This has yet to happen with all the stuff (or lack thereof) that has been going on. I know that these two men are planning on doing this at the next (1st of the year) PPV.

Many great feuds took place last year and we ended the year with a big one with Abyss taking on the Super Warrior and Umaga taking on MW3. We saw that all 4 men were actually taken to the same hospital after their last confrontation and ended up wrecking havoc at the hospital when they decided to attack each other. I can still hear Armando screaming in the corner like a little girl. I know that these feuds are far from over and we now have confirmation that MW3 has decided to team up with SW to take on Armando’s Army.

“Handsome G” Martinez was the last CSWA Cruiserweight champion. Former champion Jay “Texas Hammer” Mack had been trying to chase down Martinez for the last 8 months with the champion ducking him at every chance he had. Mack finally got his wish and will finally get his match against the champion at the next PPV. Mack had to put his career on the line as a last resort to get this match to happen. Handsome G is backed into the corner. He will either come out fighting or he’ll just lie down. We should know soon what happens.

New rules and regulations have been created to help make the HWF X-division championship more accessible to the non main-eventers. It has been decided that only “class 3” wrestlers will be eligible to participate in this division. It is similar to the structure in place for the CSWA Cruiserweight championship but we won’t restrict it to a “weight class”.

In a very surprising move, the CSWA and HWF brands have now been consolidated under a parent company vs. remaining as two separate groups. There has been one man who has been appointed as a new GM for both brands. In order for him to accept this position, he had to retire from in-ring action. He was happy to do this. After announcing this to the roster, it is my pleasure to announce that William Regal has accepted the new role of overall GM. From a legal standpoint, Donnie B is still considered the owner of the corporation. As the owner of the business, Donnie B will no longer have any “executive” control except in legal matters. He will still be the acting GM for the HWF and once their feud is finished, either Mr. Apodaca or Mr. Meyers will be acting GM for the CSWA with both acting GM’s answering to William Regal. Mr. Regal will have final say in all matters involving the wrestlers, events and such.

Currently, one superstar is on suspension: Jeff Hardy. Jeff’s name has surfaced in the investigation of some shady activity. Once he is cleared, he will be allowed to return to the ring.

Wrestling Newsletter Year 3_9.1

Hello fans. Welcome back to the next installment of the Wrestling newsletter. As I had promised before, I will do my best to try and keep you, the fans, up to date on all the goings-on in the world of professional wrestling. As of this writing, the draft has not taken place yet as we are waiting to get AA and Mr. Meyers in the same room so that no one can cry “foul” when they end up with no main eventers.

One piece of information we have is the on-going feud between the Negronomicon and Scott Steiner. As we mentioned in the last newsletter, Negronomicon had “allegedly” attacked and hospitalized Steiner to the point where he was unable to fly home. Well, Steiner did in fact make it back and at a local show, he jumped and attacked Negronomicon again. N was able to chase Steiner off with a chair but not before Scott was able to inflict quite a bit of damage on N. Negronomicon has approached William Regal and has asked for a match with Steiner at the next PPV. William Regal did agree but has stipulated that it will be a specialty match which will only be disclosed the day of the PPV.
This just in….Jeff Hardy has been re-instated after he had been cleared of all charges against him. Jeff will be taking part in the draft.
Also in a big piece of news, at this time, neither the CSWA or HWF have agreed to terms with tag team Cryme Time. We were hoping to have something solidifed by this time but neither party could reach an agreement. We will keep trying and maybe will get to see them in the future.


Wrestling Newsletter Year 3_9.2 – Draft Results

Hello fans. We are back with some news and the results of the 2007 draft. Our first piece of news is the release of the superstar known as Test. AT this point, Test was unable to comply with the schedule we set forth so he was granted his release. We wish him the best and if his schedule will allow, maybe we will see him return in the future.
Also, in what turned out to be a HUGE announcement, AA (Mr. Apodaca) has dropped his fight for control of the CSWA. It turns out that Mr. Apodaca revealed that at one time, he took steroids and not one to want to get involved with the ongoing investigation by Congress, he opted to drop everything. Due to his stelllar legal mind, he will be kept on as legal council but will not be involved in the day-to-day operations of these wrestling organizations. With this in mind, William Regal now has total control as the General Manager.
Lastly, William Regal has decided to leave the stipulation in place where a champion cannot lose his championship on a count-out in the CSWA. This was a rule that was in place in the HWF and then Mr. Apodaca .

With the finalization of the draft, this lead to the matches leading up to crowing the new superstars. To give everyone a chance, superstars were picked at random and this is the line up we came up with:

Booker T vs. Kurt Angle for the World Heavyweight title; Booker def. Kurt to become the New Champion.
Edge vs. Samoa Joe for the Intercontinental title; Edge sneaks out a win to become the new IC champ.
“Black Machismo” Jay Lethal vs. Christopher Daniels for the X Division Title; Proving that the “little man” can’t be held back, Lethal becomes the new X-division champ.
Jeff Jarrett vs. Umaga for the North American Title; Jarrett “Lied, cheated and stole” a win over the Samoan Bulldozer to become the NA Champion.

CSWA
John Cena vs. Christian for the World title; Cena came out of nowhere to get the win.
AJ Styles vs. Randy Orton for the US title; AJ Styles became the US champ.
MW3 vs. Handsome G for the TV title; MW3 wiped the mat with Handsome G.
MVP vs. Hurricane for the Cruiserweight title; MVP walked away with the Cruiserweight title.

Donnie B & the Negronomicon vs. SW and Handsome G for the World Tag Team titles. Donnie B and Negronomicon get the win and the Gold. Donnie B did all the work and then Negronomicon tagged himself in and got the pin on Handsome G.
Trevor Murdoch and Lance Cade went up against Chavo Guerrero and Paul London to see who would challenge the Tag Team Champs at the PPV. Guerrero and London were victorious so they get to go against the champs.

Wrestling Newsletter Year 3_9.3 – Pre-PPV notes

Hello fans. We are just a few days away from our first PPV of the year “Bad Blood”. In the last newsletter, we figured out who all the new champions are. In this one, we will know who will be involved in all the matches. With Negronomicon being one half of the World Tag Team Champions, his match with Scott Steiner was dropped. Steiner was not happy with this so we will have to see what happens at the PPV.
