HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2018 #698 – Tacoma Thunder

Hello fans and welcome back to another issue of HCW’s Tacoma Thunder.  Our Supershow which also happens to coincide with the 700th issue posted of the Wrestling Newsletter is only a week away.  A quick recap from the last show in Phoenix.  In previewing the last newsletter before it got posted, Emmett learned that Phoenix GM Master Bull was lurking around probably up to no good (in his eyes) so he sent out a mandate that both Master Bull and Tacoma GM Max McGillicutty show up here tonight or there would be hell to pay.  We’re not quite sure what’s going on but I’m sure as the show progresses, we will learn more.  Master Bull did respond on social media telling Millbarge that he would be “at the minor league venue in Tacoma”.

The show begins outside the arena in the parking garage.  Master Bull is already there (he gets a pop) and then a car pulls up and it’s GM Max McGillicutty (the pop he gets is quite a bit louder than Bull’s).  The two men shake hands and then Max inquires “Minor league venue?  Really?”  Bull laughs and says “No, not really” but he turns to the camera smiles and nods in acknowledgement that is EXACTLY what he meant. The two men then enter the building and there is a small army of security waiting to escort both men to Emmett Millbarge’s office.   They arrive and enter the office where both Emmett Millbarge and his bankroll Cushman Armitage are waiting.  Emmett begins “Well, look who it is…our two troublemakers.  We know you two have been taking orders from those old owners however, there is new blood in town and we are running the show.”  Cushman stands up.  “Everyone has a price for this billion-dollar man.”  Max stands up.  “I don’t.”  Cushman looks him in the eye and says “Fine.  You’re out of here.”  He turns to Master Bull.  He looks at Cushman, Emmett and then at Max.  “What is thy bidding my master?”  Max is shocked!  Bull has sided with the enemy.  Emmett shoves Max out the door and closes it while Cushman puts his arm around Bull and says “At least one of you has a brain.”  We can hear all three men laugh behind the closed door.  WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED?

Pyro goes off kicking this one off.  Smoke fills the stage and then ziplining through the smoke is Violet Valkyrie and she zips down to the ring.  She lands and asks for a mic.  Violet calls out Vanilla Zombie for the attack and says if she wanted her in the ring, all she had to do is put out a challenge.  Violet will do that now and calls Vanilla out.  Emmett Millbarge comes out instead and says that local fans shouldn’t get to see all the great action so he will make the match happen however it will be at the PPV at the end of August.  Emmett says she gets to wrestle tonight and will be given a tag team partner.  Music hits and out comes Ruby Rose.  The fans pop huge for her.   She stops in front of Emmett and tells him to cut the shenanigans.  She then makes her way down to the ring.  She shakes hands with Violet.  The music changes and out comes Lady Hermann.  She is booed but she stops on stage waiting for her tag team partner.  Out comes Vanilla Zombie.  The fans resume their booing of the pair as they make their way down to the ring.  Both Ruby and Violet have a beef with Vanilla Zombie but she refuses to start off the match so it’s up to Lady Hermann to begin the action.  The action begins with Violet and Ruby double teaming Lady Hermann.  Vanilla Zombie just sort of stood there.  5 minutes in and Lady Hermann was still taking the brunt of the abuse but then Vanilla dropped off the apron and as Lady Hermann distracted the ref, Vanilla hit Violet with a steel chair and then also hit Ruby.  Lady Hermann tried to go for a quick pin but Violet kicked out.  Lady Hermann then hit a sitout wheelbarrow face buster and then tagged in Vanilla Zombie who looked on quizzically.  She finally entered the ring hitting Violet with a jawjacker but Violet hit her with a running one handed bulldog.  She made the hot tag to Ruby and the fans popped.   Ruby hits a Russian leg sweep and then drops (seemingly hurt from the chair shot).  She tags Violet back in.  Violet hits another running one handed bulldog and then hooks Vanilla’s leg for the 1-2-3.   Lady Hermann was a split second too late trying to make the save but entered the ring with a chair.  Vanilla took the chair and smashed Violet with it.  She then ran across the ring and smashed Ruby with it who went flying from the ring apron and landed hard on the floor.  She then dropped the chair and rolled out of the ring.  She tilted her head and smiled the tiniest of smiles as she made her way to the back.  I’m sure Violet and Ruby aren’t done here.  (9 min)

Backstage, Drew the Canadian Love Machine meets up with US Champion Jacques Beannot.  Drew suggests a non-title match against Jacques at an upcoming show and if he wins, he gets his rematch at the PPV.  Jacques accepts.  The two shake hands.  I guess we got ourselves a future match.  Jacques wishes good luck to Drew in his match which is up next.

Drew the Canadian Love Machines comes out first for his match and the fans pop huge for him.  Next, the music changes and we hear blaring over the loudspeakers “VAMPIRE LUNGES FOR EVERYONE!” and out comes everyone most hated vampire Dr. Red Fang.  Fang comes out with his manager Ant Graham and the duo are booed as they head down to the ring.  Fang gets in the ring and immediately attacks Drew.  Graham tries to get involved early and Drew takes him out.  Drew then hits Fang with a handstand head scissors followed up by a superkick that rattled the vampire’s fangs.  Just then, Jacques made his way out to make sure that Graham wouldn’t get involved again (he was out cold so not sure why Jacques came out).  Jacques shouted encouragement to his teammate but Drew was perplexed as to why Jacques came out.  Fang took advantage of the distraction and locked Drew up with a spider web lock.  Drew was almost at the ropes but Jacques yelled at the ref to watch for Graham’s interference (he was still out cold).  Drew had the ropes but the ref didn’t see it to break the hold.  Fang dragged Drew back into the center of the ring where he had no choice but to tap out.   Dr. Red Fang gets the win via submission.  Drew was not happy.  Jacques entered the ring and began yelling at the ref for not paying attention.  Jacques extended his hand and Drew finally shook it.  The two tag team partners then left.  Dr. Red Fang went to gather his manager and dragged / carried him to the back.  (3 min)

Outside, Max meets up with the owners Mr. B and Mr. M.  Max says he failed.  He’s told it’s ok and then ask where Master Bull is.  Max says Bull sold out and sided with THEM.  “WHAT?” Mr. B and Mr. M exclaimed at exactly the same time.   Mr. B shakes his head.  “This isn’t good.”  Mr. M chimes in.  “So, plan B then?”  Mr. B nods his head and Max asks what plan B is.  They motion him over and the three walk off out of the way from any eavesdropping that may be going on.

Our next match is ready to kick off.  The Crocodile Hunter makes his way out first and the fans give him a welcome reception.  His music is abruptly cut off when we hear “Money, money, monaaaaaaaay” and out comes Emmett Millbarge’s corporate stooge “Big Money” Ned Rhyerson III.  The fans boo him as he makes his way down to the ring.  He towers over Croc and begins pummeling him as soon as the bell rings.  Croc went toe to toe with the big man and started to take control as the match progressed.  Rhyerson got frustrated and exited the ring.  Croc went over to mock him but Ned pulled Croc’s leg and then wrapped it repeatedly around the steel post.  Croc tried to crawl back to the center of the ring but Ned was on him like Yogi Bear on picnic baskets.  Ned then locked in a step over toe hold and Croc almost immediately tapped out.  Ned wouldn’t let up and it took the threat of having the decision reversed to get him to finally let go.  Ned Rhyerson gets his first submission victory since he debuted.  He grabs a mic and says that no one on the HCW roster is safe – especially that goofball King Rad Gumbo.  He then left the ring to booing from the fans.  (8 min)

The Unknown Assassin and his weasel of a manager the Honorable J C Dykes are on their way to the GM’s office to demand his rematch for the TV title.  They are stopped by Nix Anderson and his manager ‘The Singapore Sensation’ Matt Preacher who says that he is already next in line for that shot and if UA wants to leapfrog to the head of the class, he will have to go through him.  The Unknown Assassin says he’ll see him in the ring next.

For the next match, Nix Anderson and his manager ‘the Singapore Sensation’ Matt Preacher made their way down to the ring first amidst booing from the crowd but it wasn’t as bad when his opponent the Unknown Assassin and his manager J C Dykes made their way out.  The fans went rabid on them.  These two guys are just not well liked.  The match started off pretty even but then Nix began taking control and that got Dykes worried. 3 minutes in, Dykes tried to throw a fireball into Nix’s face but Nix whirled and UA caught some of the brunt and it was followed up by Nix dragging UA’s face along the top rope.

Backstage, Davis ‘the Hoff’ Hoffmeister and his tag team partner Magnum ‘the King of Cones’ Kone are chatting.  Davis acknowledges that they got stiffed in their match against the Desperados but still felt they are a force to be reckoned with.  Magnum says he’s still up to tagging up if Davis is.  Both men shake hands.  It sounds like they’re making another run for the tag belts.  Tonight, they get a chance to move up the rankings by taking on the Smashers.  Nix shows off doing the Nix Strut but UA connects with some English Forearm Strikes.  UA goes for the pin and Dykes tries to hold Nix’s leg down but Preacher came around and chased Dykes off.   UA goes for the strikes again but Nix neutralizes it.   Nix then connects with the Nixinator but chooses to showboat instead of going for the pin.  He then backed into the corner ready to do something but Dykes jumps up clocking Nix with his loaded canteen.  Nix falls into the center of the ring.  UA turns him over and makes the cover getting the 1-2-3.  The Unknown Assassin gets the win and will be next in line for the TV title shot.  Nix isn’t out of this yet and will probably be first in line whether or not UA wins the belt back.  (7 min)  Preacher helped Nix to his feet and the two left.

After a few moments, music hits and out comes former Ladies Champion Ravishing Raquel who made the trek up here to Tacoma.  She asks for a mic and calls out El Gato for stealing her title.  She demands a rematch at the supershow however Ruby Rose is supposed to be getting a shot.  Emmett Millbarge comes out and comments that Madame Jade never got her rematch so she will be added to the mix.  Emmett says that he will give Ruby a pass if she wants to bow out of the match in favor of one on one but then changes his mind and makes the match a fatal four way.  Emmett warns that the lady who gets pinned or submitted will be OUT of HCW.  The reason for this is that a new lady will be joining the roster to replace the one who will be losing their job.  She will make her debut at the Supershow.

We cut backstage and Mountain Man Junior Huber (who by the way truly is a mountain of a man) and he says that tonight he gets to bring gold to the family by defeating Hardcore Hensen for the Hardcore title.  He called Hensen a coward for not defending it more often and says that once he demolishes Hensen, the Hubers will reign supreme.

Our action returns to the ring.  The Smashers and their manager MJ all come out first and the fans boo them.  Smasher #1 and 2 almost came to blows with some of the fans.  Next, Davis Hoffmeister and Magnum Kone came out to huge pops from the crowd.  Magnum had to let the fans know he didn’t have any ice cream for the kids at the moment but if they stuck around after the show, he would get them their treats.  The match started immediately and as expected, Davis and Magnum controlled the match but MJ got involved and things began going his team’s way.  For 6 minutes, Magnum had the upper hand.  He then tagged in Davis who immediately threw Smasher #2 out of the ring.  He followed him out only to be blindsided by Smasher #1.  Smasher #1 hurled Davis into the steel steps and then tossed him back in the ring.  Smasher #2 held Davis by the leg as he struggled to make it to his corner.  Davis managed to break free and tag Magnum back in.  Smasher #1 gets tagged in and hits Magnum with the Steel Smasher.  He goes for a pin but Magnum powers out.  Smasher #2 is tagged in and he immediately taunts Davis while MJ chokes Magnum in the corner.  He goes for a pin but Magnum powers out again.  Magnum locks in the Drumstsick (armbar) but Smasher #2 hits a kneelift and tags his partner back in.  Magnum locks Smasher #1 with the King Kone (headlock) but Smasher #1 takes them to the corner.  As the ref is trying to break things up, MJ jumps up and when he goes to slug Magnum, Magnum moves and MJ hits the ref.  The ref immediately disqualified the Smashers for outside interference.  Davis hits the ring and he and Magnum dispose of the Smashers.  They hang around for a few minutes to interact with the fans and then head to the back.  (12 min)

Hardcore Hensen is backstage with his manager ‘the Singapore Sensation’ Matt Preacher.  Hensen says that the entire Huber Clan is a bunch of morons from some back woods Podunk town.   Hensen says that the Hubers think of themselves as hardcore but that is a laugh as Hensen said they would have been laughed out of the military unit he himself ran.  Hensen says Junior will become just another victim and he and Preacher walk off.

It’s time for our main event and the Hardcore title will be on the line.  First, Mountain Man Junior Huber comes out and he gets a mixed reaction from the crowd.  He doesn’t pander to them but doesn’t get in their faces either.  Next, we hear over the loudspeaker “BECAUSE I’M HARDCORE!” and out comes Matt Preacher and the Harccore Champion Hardcore Hensen.  These two are booed all the way down to the ring.  Hensen gets into the ring alongside his manager and he holds his title high as the fans watching boo him.  He hands the title to the ref and motions to Huber to get this one started.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2018 #697 – Phoenix Heat

(Editor's note:  Emmett Millbarge previewed our newsletter again and when he saw/read that Master Bull was creeping around, he got pissed and then left messages for both Master Bull and Max McGillicutty telling them to show up in Tacoma on Sunday or there will be hell to pay.)

Hello fans and welcome back to another installment of HCW’s Phoenix Heat.  Damn, it is hot here as temperatures (and tempers) flare into the 110+ range.   We are only a week and a half away from our 700th show which will be taking place in Tacoma.  We have a stacked card so let’s get this party started.

Pyro goes off and our show begins with the Regulators (Mammoth and Mule) making their way out accompanied by their manager Ruth Heartless.  The trio are booed as they head down to the ring.  Next, the music changes and out comes the Machines (B and P machine).  They are cheered as they interact with the fans and then make their way to the ring.  The bell rings pretty quickly (I think Ruth stole the hammer and hit the bell).   The two teams were pretty even for the first 10 minutes of the match but then a 3 round double team brought their offensive run to a halt and they played defense for the rest of the match.  They were able to get in some good licks but Ruth had the team moving along pretty well. After one of the Machines was getting destroyed, their partner would roll the injured man out of the ring and take his place (they are wearing the same masks and body suits). This went on for over 15 minutes and it was easy to tell that Ruth and the Regulators were getting really frustrated by this.  Over the next few minutes, they kept trying for a pin only for the other Machine to make the save.  Finally, we entered the final minute of the match.  Regulator Mule set up Machine – P for an inverted superplex and both men crashed into the center of the ring.  It took a few moments for Mule to drag himself over and drape an arm on Machine P.  The ref began to count 1…2…and the bell rang bringing this one to a draw finish.  It was apparent that the Regulators were frustrated (and exhausted) but after that battle, it was apparent that everyone was done for the evening.  Eventually everyone left.  (30 min draw)

We cut to outside the building and the Steel Curtain and Biceps Bannerman were stopped by Master Bull just as they were getting ready walk in the door.  Bull told them something we could not hear but then each nodded and made their way into the building.  Master Bull looked around (sneakily) to ensure he wasn’t being recorded and then slunk off to do more mischief (we can only guess).

Our next match is ready to go with Sarona Reiher making her way out to the ring first to a mixed reaction from the crowd.  She is followed out by the Duchess who gets booed pretty badly but she’s got a nasty temper going on (to match the heat outside) and she storms down to the ring.  There isn’t much time wasted here either as the bell rings right away.  The Duchess hasn’t been on a great roll as of late after being moved to the Phoenix roster and whether it’s her demeanor or she really doesn’t want to be here, she didn’t put up much of a fight against Sarona.  In fact, the Duchess got in 3 moves in 7 minutes and a Samoan drop from Sarona got her the win.  Sarona celebrated in the ring and the Duchess immediately left to go to the back without acknowledging the fans at all.  (7 min)

Scooter J approaches Emmett Millbarge asking for a PPV match against TNT and is told that he has to earn it.  Tonight, he gets Biceps Bannerman.  If he gets a win, he will be guaranteed a spot at the PPV.

We head to the ring again and Otto Ruthless makes his way out first as the fans boo.  Next, Starbuck Steel comes out to a huge pop from the crowd and he is accompanied by his brother Buzz.  The two head to the ring.  Buzz and Starbuck psyche up the crowd but the jerk of a referee (must be put in there by the weasel Emmett Millbarge) kicked Buzz out of the ring and sent him to the back.  Buzz refused and went to sit at commentary instead.  For about 5 minutes, Otto hung in there with Starbuck but then ‘Buck just took the match to Otto and never looked back.  Buzz cheered him on (albeit a little biased) and got the fans excited.  Before we knew it, we were approaching the time limit.  We join the match at the 19 minute mark.

===== In the 19th minute of the match: =====

Starbuck Steel rolled OC/TT

Otto Ruthless rolled DC

Otto Ruthless absorbs the punishment.

Starbuck Steel is attempting a pin!!!

1...2...3

Otto Ruthless was pinned by Starbuck Steel!!!

Starbuck Steel wins with a STARPLEX (SLINGSHOT SUPLEX) over Otto Ruthless!!!

The fans pop huge as Starbuck gets the 3 count with seconds left to spare.  Buzz joins him in the ring and then Buzz is confronted by the referee who says he should disqualify Starbuck for interference (but he never saw it) and for ignoring the directive from the referee.  Buzz tells him to shut his candy ass and begins to walk away.  He puts his hand on Buzz and turns him around and slaps him across the face.  Within the blink of an eye, Buzz grabbed the ref and hit him with the Buzzcut. The fans popped even louder for that.  This brought out Emmett Millbarge accompanied by security.  Emmett told security to arrest Buzz for putting his hands on a ref and, because of his association (and failure to stop him), Starbuck should be arrested too.  Security came out and handcuffed the brothers taking them to the back.  The fans were very vocal in what they thought of Millbarge.  He just laughed and walked off.

Backstage, manager J C Dykes and the TV Champion the Unknown Assassin were told by some random backstage worker that UA had to put his TV title on the line tonight.  Dykes demanded to know who and the stage hand said it was Wilber Townsend.  UA then attacked the stage hand beating him down.  UA and Dykes stormed off to their dressing room.

Our next match is ready to begin.  First, fan favorite Biceps Bannerman makes his way out to a huge pop from the crowd.  Once he’s in the ring, the music changes and out comes Scooter J.  He’s booed as he makes his way down to the ring.  He has a lot riding on this match as his PPV match with TNT is on the line.  He has to win tonight or his match will be called off.  SJ begins pacing in the ring waiting for the bell to sound and kick this one off.  Bannerman controlled the match for the first 12 minutes but then Scooter J dragged him out of the ring and hurled him into the ring steps.  After softening Biceps up, Scooter J slid back in and once Biceps got back in, SJ hit him with a superkick.  He went for a pin only for Biceps to power out.  SJ then removed the turnbuckle cover. Biceps went for a spear but SJ moved and Biceps hit the corner and hit his head on the exposed bracket.  He stumbled back into the ring where SJ displayed an enormous feat of strength by picking Bannerman up and bodyslamming him.  He went for the cover hooking a leg and with both of his feet on the ropes for leverage, he got the pin.  Scooter J gets the win and his match at the PPV against TNT is now in the books.  (15 min)

Backstage, El Gato Negro is being interviewed and she says that Ravishing Raquel has been ditching her and she says that tonight, she is demanding her shot at the Ladies title and if Raquel ditches her again, she’s going to lobby to have her stripped of the title.

It’s time for the first of our title matches for the evening.  First, the lights dim and Wilber Townsend makes his way down to the ring carrying a lantern.  He makes it to the ring and gets a mixed reaction from the crowd.  Next, J C Dykes makes his way out and introduces the TV champion the Unknown Assassin.  Both men are booed as they make their way down to the ring. Wilber starts to laugh for no apparent reason and it seems to put UA off his game.  He exited the ring talking to Dykes to strategize for the title defense.  The match starts off with Dykes hitting Wilber with a loaded canteen.  UA went for a pin but barely got a one count.  UA followed up with English forearm strikes and went for the pin again but Wilber kicked out.  Wilber set up to hit the Go to Sleep but Dykes grabbed him by the trunks holding him back while UA locked in a standing crossface.  Dykes then reached under the ring and grabbed a different canteen.  This one looked a lot heavier and after Dykes hit Wilber with it, Wilber went down like a sack of bricks.  The Unknown Assassin went for the pin and got a 3 count.  UA gets the win and adds another successful title defense under his belt.  He and Dykes celebrated briefly before leaving to booing from the fans. (6 min)

The Ladies Champion Ravishing Raquel is with her manager the Ambassador and she addresses the comments made by El Gato.  Raquel calls El Gato a spoiled cat who will get neutered and shown who the REAL champion is.  She walks off followed by her manager.

It’s time for our main event.  First, El Gato Negro comes out to booing from the crowd.  Next, the Ambassador comes out and out comes the Ladies Champion Ravishing Raquel accompanied by her Elitism teammates Roderick Rothchild and her husband Reid Rothchild.  The brothers watch as Raquel and her manager make their way down to the ring.  The fans who used to be in her corner have since turned sour on her. The match begins almost immediately and Raquel dominates the match.  Raquel starts off with a  moonsault and a near fall right off the bat.  After some back and forth, Raquel locks in the Ravishing Armbar and tries to go for a pin but El Gato makes it to the ropes.  Raquel then locks in the Ravishing Chickenwing (a move she’s won many a matches with) but somehow El Gato dug deep and struggled against the pain to make it to the ropes to break the hold.  El Gato comes back with two Gato Paw swipes.  Dazed, Raquel stumbled into the middle of the ring where El Gato locked in the Wall-O-Cato (tarantula) and using extra leverage, she somehow got Raquel to tap out.  HOLY CRAP!  El Gato Negro just won the Ladies title via submission.  The Ambassador was stunned.  El Gato grabbed the title and held it high over her head as the fans booed.  She then left the ring with her title laughing all the way to the back.  With that, our show comes to an end.

Thanks for reading.  Stay tuned for more action.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2018 #696 – Tacoma Thunder

Hello wrestling fans and welcome back to another installment of HCW’s (the Emmett Millbarge version) (editor’s note:  he demanded we add that part) Tacoma Thunder.  Our show begins once again backstage with Emmett confronting GM Max McGillicutty.   Max tells Emmett that the buyout has not happened and that he really has no authority.  Emmett says “I beg to differ.  In the case of Quid vs Pro Quo, the new party, that’s me, gets complete run of the events and the wrestlers contracts so unless you want me to just start blindlingly firing everyone on the roster, I suggest you take this time to go home and brush up on your resume because in a month’s time, there will be a changing of the guard (he calls a guard over OH GUARD), and WE will be the ultimate power in this universe.  Get it?  Good, now get out.”  Emmett has the guard escort Max out of the building.

Once outside, Max is met by Tacoma’s GM Master Bull and the owners Mr. B and Mr. M.  Everyone agrees that something needs to be done.  Mr. B gives Master Bull a task and Mr. M gives one to Max.  They say that they will keep fighting this on the legal side and that they need Bull and Max to try to stay involved doing whatever it takes.  Bull and Max are then left alone.  Bull says he has an idea and runs it by Max.  Max likes the idea and they start to plan how to implement it.

Pyro goes off and once it’s done, our first match of the night kicks off.  First, visiting from the Phoenix roster is Lavender Gooms.  She makes her way down to the ring to a mixed reaction from the crowd.  Next, smoke fills the stage and then Violet Valkyrie blasts through as she zip lines down to the ring and the fans pop huge for her.  She drops into the ring and climbs the turnbuckles to pops from the crowd.  As the match began, Lavender got in a few shots but then Violet began to make a comeback and owned the match through it’s entirety.  Violet managed to stay a couple of moves ahead of her opponent.  She even locked in a triangle choke trying to get a submission but Lavender was able to make it to the ropes.  Halfway through the match, Violet catches Lavender with a jumping knee smash and goes for the pin but only gets a 2 count.   We now join the match at the 18 minute mark.

After 20 minutes, the match is declared a draw.

Violet has a great showing and even though the match is a draw, she proved to be the better competitor.  Lavender approached her and extended her hand.  Violet shook it much to the fans delight.   All of a sudden, the lights went out and when they came back on, Violet was out cold in the ring and standing over her with a steel chair was Vanilla Zombie!  Vanilla didn’t like seeing, what her perception is, some newbie trying to take away her “spot”.  She glared down at Violet and then turned and left.  She makes it to the top of the ramp and then points backstage and the curtains part and out comes ‘The Singapore Sensation’ Matt Preacher.  It looks like Vanilla has joined Team Preacher and the fans become vocal expressing their displeasure.  The two of them leave.  Eventually the ref and Lavender help Violet from the ring.  (20 min draw)

Backstage, Drew the Canadian Love Machine congratulates the new US Champion Jacques Beannot and then asks for his rematch.  Jacques says that with all due respect, Drew ducked him and didn’t want to give him his shot at glory so he had to take it another way.   Jacques says he would love to give Drew a title match but it’s not a priority for the new owners at this time.  He walks away.

Our next match is ready to go and it’s a challenge for a spot in the tag team title top 10.  First, ‘the Singapore Sensation’ Matt Preacher comes out and brings out Hardcore Hensen and Nix Anderson who are all booed.  Hensen begins to threaten to hit the fans but Preacher reels him in and the three head down to the ring.  Next, Ovaltine Jackson and Ghee Buttersnaps come out and they get a huge pop from the crowd.  They don’t get much time in the ring before Hensen attacks them sending Ghee out of the ring and then blasts Ovaltine with the Hard Times.  Nix then joins him in the ring and the two beat Ovaltine down.   The ref restores order sending Nix out of the ring but that didn’t stop Hensen from reaping more damage.  Ovaltine hits Hensen with a spinebuster and then makes the hot tag to Ghee.   Hensen hits the Hard Times on Ghee and tags out to Nix.  Nix uses Preacher for a distraction but then Hensen wants back in.  Nix makes the tag but is then double teamed by Ghee and Ovaltine.   After Ovaltine left the ring, Hensen rattles Ghee with a kneelift to the jaw.  Stunned, Ghee stumbled in the ring.  Hensen then hits Ghee again with a kneelift to the jaw and this time he makes the cover and gets the uncontested 3 count.   Nix and Hensen get the win and move up in the tag team rankings.  Preacher joins them in the ring and the three celebrate briefly before leaving to the booing from the fans.  (9 min)

Adam Jameson is backstage and he complains to Emmett Milbarge that he barely had any time to celebrate as the US champion and wanted a match tonight.

The next match begins with Phoenix’s El Gato Negro making her way out to the ring.  She is booed as she enters the ring.  Next, Ruby Rose comes out and the fans pop for her.   Just as she is making her way down to the ring, Vanilla Zombie comes out and tries to attack Ruby but Violet Valkyrie comes out and ends up chasing Vanilla through the crowd.  The match began and Ruby kept the slight advantage through the match.  About 8 minutes in, Ruby goes for a pin after hitting a roundhouse kick but El Gato made it to the ropes.   El Gato turns around and hits the 9 Lives but Ruby kicks out at one.   El Gato comes back a few minutes later and tries for a pin after hitting a Gato Leap but Ruby made it to the ropes.  After a few minutes, El Gato throws Ruby into the corner and charges but Ruby hits the Red Wedding Facebuster.  She goes for the cover and the ref counts 1…2…and just then Vanilla Zombie shows up from under the ring and puts El Gato’s leg on the ropes to stop the count.  Ruby gets up and looks around but she doesn’t see anyone.  She then turns around and gets caught in with the soaring meow (headscissors).  She goes for a pin but Ruby is quick to get her foot on the rope but Vanilla shows up again and knocks it off.  El Gato ends up getting the 3 count much to Ruby’s dismay.  El Gato leaves the ring laughing having secured the #1 contender spot.  Vanilla sneaks up behind Ruby but is caught and just as Vanilla tried to leave, Violet Valkyrie showed up and they cornered Vanilla.  Vanilla looked quizzically at them and just as they charged, she slipped out of the ring and made her way to the back waving at them.  Both Violet and Ruby looked on and weren’t happy but shook hands and the two of them left.  (16 min for the match; 5 extra for the aftermath)

Backstage, ‘the Singapore Sensation’ Matt Preacher confronts Jacques saying that if it wasn’t for him, the US title would not be on Jacques’ waist.  Jacques says that he doesn’t need help.  Preacher says “hear me out” and after offering Jacques a “5 hour energy shot” (which may or may not have been laced with something), Jacques listens intently.  Once Preacher was done, he left Jacques to ponder what he told him.

It’s time to head back to the ring.  Adam Jameson comes out first to a small pop from the crowd.  Next, his opponent – the Russian Ivan Dragovich makes his way out as the fans boo.  Ivan flips off the fans and climbs into the ring.  Ivan goes right on the offensive but Adam has some pent up frustrations after losing the US title right after winning it and he took the match to the Russian.  Ivan went for a pin early but then it was all Adam.  Adam went for 3 pin attempts but Ivan managed to keep kicking out.  Adam began getting psyched up and dropped Ivan with a spin kick.  Adam then hit the ropes and went for a springboard face smash but Ivan managed to reverse it and clobbered AJ with a jumping side kick.  Ivan made the cover and hooked the leg and got the 1-2-3.  Ivan gets the win and has his arm raised.  He beats his chest and the fans boo.  Adam, frustrated at another loss, slams his hands on the mat and then leaves.  (16 min)

Davis Hoffmeister and Magnum Kone are backstage.  Davis says he and Magnum have an opportunity to make history.  He is a multi-time champion and Magnum has carried his fair share of titles.  Magnum says that it is all about opportunity and tonight, they are getting an opportunity that comes rarely.  The one thing in their favor is that the Desperados have not faced the combined might of them.  Davis says that in his “past life”, he teamed and feuded with El Chango so if there is one person on the planet who knows El Chango the best, it is him.  Tonight, the Desperados face their toughest opponents and may the best team win.  Magnum looks at him and says.  “That’s us”.  Davis snickers and shakes his head.

Our next match begins with Superquake Ferguson making his way out to the ring. The fans boo him but he doesn’t care.  Next, the Italian Superman Superstar Chic Monroe comes out to a pop from the crowd and he is joined by his tag team partners the Axe and TNT.  They accompany Chic down to the ring for his match just in case Ferguson goes overboard.  To everyone’s surprise except for maybe Chic himself, he went toe to toe with the giant and actually held his own.  In a huge feat of strength, while the two were fighting outside of the ring, Chic hit a huge powerslam on the floor.  The two made it back in the ring and continued the fight but after Ferguson hit the Cutting Edge, he got a near 2 count and Chic began getting a little worried.  He began to battle back and hit Ferguson with a big boot.  He then hit the ropes but Superquake caught him and after turning him around a couple of times, hit a huge chokeslam.  He laid on top of Chic and being unable to kick out with 400 lbs laying on top of him, Superquake gets the win.  He stands up and holds his arms up in victory.  He then looks at Monroe and contemplates going after him again but the Axe and TNT are in the ring and they make sure nothing else happens.  Ferguson smirks and then walks away.  Axe helps Chic to his feet and they all leave to a nice pop from the crowd.  (8 min)

We cut backstage to a promo from the World Tag Team champions the Desperados.  El Chango says that Davis claims to know him but he’s not letting on is that he knows Davis.  Leon says that he replaced the one-time ‘Stache’ and he only made the Desperados even better.  They have been more successful and after defeating Davis and Magnum, they will solidify their standing as one of the best tag teams ever.  El Chango says that teams come and go but he and Leon aren’t going anywhere.  They’ll prove that right now.  Both men head to the ring.

It’s time for our main event.  First, the challengers Davis ‘the Hoff’ Hoffmeister and Magnum ‘king of cones’ Kone make their way out to a huge pop from the crowd.  Magnum gave out ice cream to the fans at ringside and once that was completed, he joined Davis in the ring.  Next, the music changed and out comes the champs the Desperados.  El Chango and Leon Teremoto make their way out to an equally loud pop from the fans.  They get in the ring and hold the titles high.  All 4 men make it to the center of the ring and have a staredown as the ref takes the belts, holds them up and then hands them to the attendant.  The bell rings and this one begins.  El Chango begins with hitting Davis with a spear.  Leon is tagged in and hits Davis with a dropkick.  The Desperados hit the ring for double team action.  After they were done, Leon hits Davis with a spinebuster and goes for the pin but Davis kicks out at 2.   Davis hits a clothesline but eats a second spinebuster.  El Chango hits the ring knocking Magnum off the ring.  Davis tries for a tag but his partner isn’t there.  Leon drags him back to the center of the ring.  Davis hits Leon with a roundhouse kick but ends up getting double teamed.  After El Chango was sent out of the ring, Davis started to choke Leon but that was reversed and Leon grabbed a handful of hair and pulled Davis down to the mat.  He made the cover and with a hook of the leg (and maybe some tights?), he got the 1-2-3.  The Desperados get the win and retain the titles.  The show comes to an end with El Chango and Leon holding their titles high as the fans pop for them.

Stay tuned.  More to come.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2018 #695 – Phoenix Heat

Hello fans and welcome back to another installment of HCW’s Phoenix Heat.   The show begins backstage with GM Master Bull arriving and heading to his office.  He is cut off by crony Emmett Millbarge.  Emmett asks Bull where he thinks he’s going.  “My office you dolt.  Now get out of my way.”  Emmett puts a hand up.  “Not so fast.  Actually, you aren’t needed here so go on and scoot on home little man.”   Bull gets right in Emmett’s face and grabs him by his shirt.  “You want to see this ‘little man’ kick your ass?”  Emmett asks “Was that a threat?  Oh my, I think I’ve been threatened.  Security!”  A handful of Phoenix’s finest walk over.  Emmett continues “Good people, this man just threatened me and I want him escorted off the premises.”  One of the police asks “He’s the general manager right?  I think he has a right to be here.”   Emmett puffs out his chest.  “I’M the one in charge here and I’m demanding he be removed from here.”  The officer states that Bull hasn’t done anything to warrant being removed.   Emmett then calls for an instant replay and its shown where Bull put his hands on Emmett.  The officer shakes his head.  “Master Bull, will you come with us please?”  Bull glared at Emmett and left with the officers.  After everyone was gone, Emmett exclaimed, “Well, that was easy.  One down, one to go (referring to Tacoma GM Max McGillicutty) and the show is OURS!”  He laughs as the segment ends and we head to the ring.

Pyro goes off and our first match begins.  Missy Chick makes her way out first to a decent pop from the crowd.  Next, Taylor Bella comes out and she is booed.  The match begins almost immediately and Taylor got in one good shot before Missy took control of the match.  Both women got in some good licks but Missy did her best to keep Taylor down.  Missy tried to wear down Taylor by slapping on a scissored armbar but Taylor made it to the ropes to break the hold.  Taylor came back with a sunset flip but only got a 2 count.  She hits a second sunset flip but Missy made it to the ropes to break the hold.  Missy then took Taylor off her feet and kept her on the defensive.  Taylor went to the ropes but didn’t do anything so Missy connected with a Missy Plex.  Missy makes the cover and gets the 3 count.  Missy gets the win and celebrates with the fans while Taylor leaves the ring in a huff.  (17 min)

Emmett confronts a few of the wrestlers backstage and asks who wants to skyrocket to stardom.  Tobias Snake, Angry Jack and Travis ‘Dark Storm’ Ryzing are the first to speak up.  Emmett says that they will all be in matches tonight and if they win, there may be some gold in their future.

We head back to the ring for our next match.  First, Muscles Thorpe comes out wearing his rainbow colored bull horns and his box of Booty-O’s cereal.  He laughs with the fans as he makes his way down to the ring.   His fun is cut short when the Ambassador and ‘The Elitist’ Reid Rothchild come out.  The fans boo them as they head to the ring.   Reid gets into the ring and begins to stretch.  Thorpe pulls out a handful of cereal and throws it laughingly at Reid.  That pissed him off and he attacked Thorpe.  Reid got in one good shot but then Thorpe began tossing Reid around like a ragdoll.  The Ambassador kept yelling to Reid trying to give him some instructions but Thorpe would rush over and the Ambassador had to keep backing off form the ring.  Thorpe then hits a rib breaker but then gets tossed out of the ring by Reid.  Reid, nursing his ribs, distracted the ref while the Ambassador blasted Thorpe with a steel chair. He then backed off and the ref began his count.  As soon as he hit 10 and it was apparent that Thorpe wasn’t going to make it back in, the bell rings and Reid scores a win via countout.  The Ambassador joins him in the ring and the two celebrate much to the dismay of the fans.  They eventually leave.  (7 ½ min)

The Undisputed World Champion ‘the Ragin Cajun’ King Rad Gumbo shows up with Queen Alexandria on his arm.  As they are making their way backstage, they are stopped by former champs Buzz and Starbuck Steel.  Starbuck says they have a great idea for the supershow.  Starbuck says that they should have a Triple Threat match for the title.  Gumbo asks why he should do that.  Buzz says that if Rad agrees and wins the match, neither he nor Starbuck will challenge for the World title while Rad is still champion.   Before Rad could answer, Emmett Millbarge walks over and says he thinks it’s a great idea and says that he will pencil that in for the Main Event at the Supershow.  Emmett walks off and Buzz and Starbuck eventually follow leaving Rad to say “What in the hell just happened?”

Our next match is ready to go.  First, Travis ‘Dark Storm’ Ryzing makes his way out to booing from the fans.  Next, Buzz Steel comes out and the fans flip out.  They seem to love this lovable lunk.  Buzz high fives the fans as he makes his way down into the ring.  Once in the ring, Buzz points to the back and then motions that he will soon be champion again.  For the first 5 minutes of the match, Buzz held Travis to two offensive moves.  He then opened a major can of whoopass and dominated the rest of the match until he finally decided he’d had enough and then dropped Travis with the Buzzkill.  Buzz goes for the pin and secures the 3 count.  Buzz gets the win and the fans pop huge for him.  He celebrates with the fans briefly at ringside and then makes his way to the back.  (14 min)

Millbarge is backstage and said he’s not happy so far with what he’s seen. He sees Angry Jack backstage and tells him that he’d better not let him down.  Jack walks over to him (towering over him) and says “Yeah?  And you’ll do what exactly?”  Emmett visibly gulped and then took a step back.  “Yeah, that’s what I thought.”  Jack then walked off.  Emmett, shaken, made a beeline for his office.

We head back to the ring for our next match.  First, Tobias Snake, one member of the Snake Pit, makes his way out first and he is gets a mixed reaction from the crowd.  Next, Texas Wildfire makes his way out and the fans pop huge for him. TW rushes down to the ring and slides into the ring under to bottom rope.  It doesn’t take long for the two of them to lock it up but Wildfire took the advantage early however the longer the match dragged on, the more of a comeback Tobias was making.  Wildfire went for a pin early on after locking in a standing armbar getting a one count and that is when Tobias make his run.  TW managed to control most of the match but Tobias kept on increasing the intensity.  TW began peppering Tobias with rapid fire punches and Tobias came back with a Lou Thesz press.   Tobias got up and began psyching himself up only to turn around into a bionic elbow from TW.  Wildfire went for the pin hooking the leg and got the 1-2-3.  Texas Wildfire gets the win and a huge pop from the crowd.  Tobias rolled out of the ring and made his way to the back.  TW followed a few moments later.  (17 min)

Sonic Blade is backstage and is confronted by Emmett.  He tells Sonic that he’s the lucky recipient taking on Angry Jack Lawson.  He laughs and walks off.  Sonic’s cell phone rings and he answers.  It’s Phoenix GM Master Bull and we hear Bull give Sonic some direction before ending the call just a few moments later.  Sonic looks around and makes his way out to the ring.

Sonic’s music hits and he makes his way out to the ring.  The fans pop for him as he makes his way down to the ring.  The music changes and out comes the angriest member of the HCW roster – ‘Angry’ Jack Lawson.  Pyro goes off and flames shoot out of the ringposts startling Sonic.  Lawson makes his way down to the ring and enters over the top rope.  He goes right on the offensive but Sonic stayed right there with him.  Jack kept trying to turn up the intensity but Sonic just kept going…and going…and going…right up to the 20 minute time limit.  When the bell rang bringing this one to a draw finish, Sonic still looked quite fresh while Jack looked like he spent everything in his tank.  Jack tried to raise his aggression level back up but felt it wasn’t worth the effort and he left the ring.  Sonic celebrated his draw with the fans and then eventually left.  (20 min draw)

In preparation for their upcoming match, Ivan Dragovich, Red McNulty and Wendell Hammerschmidt say that they’ve been overlooked for some time in trying to get this title match but tonight, they will persevere.  Wendell says it’s their time and tonight, those belts are leaving with them.

Also backstage cutting their own promo are the Six Man Tag team Champs – Regulation.  The Banker, Ruth Heartless and the Regulators Mule and Mammoth say that they are ready to defend their belts.  They will be up some rough and vicious opponents however they are nothing compared to the champs.  Ruth chimes in and says that teams can cry and complain all they want but the #1 team in HCW will hold these belts until they’re good and ready to let them go.  They then leave and head to the ring.

It’s time for our Main Event.  First, Ivan Dragovich, Red McNulty and Wendell Hammerschmidt all make their way out to the ring and are booed.  Next, the champs Regulation come out with their manager Ruth Heartless and they are booed even worse.  The Banker sneers at the fans as they make their way to the ring.  They don’t get much time in the way of showboating as the bell is rung pretty fast.   Ivan and his team took the advantage early when Wendell used a pair of handcuffs and cuffed Ruth Heartless away from the ring so that she would be a non-factor.  Ivan, Red and Wendell began to dominate the champs and it wasn’t until after the Banker made a hot tag to Regulator Mammoth that things changed.  Wendell got tagged in but immediately got caught in a sleeperhold.  The Banker and Regulator Mule then took out Ivan and Red and with no one to make the save, Wendell tapped out.  Regulation gets the win and retains their titles.  The show comes to an end with the champs and Ruth (who finally got freed) celebrated in the ring as the fans booed.  (6 min)

Stay tuned.  More action to follow.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2018 #694 – Tacoma Thunder

Hello fans and welcome back to another installment of HCW’s Tacoma Thunder.  The hostile takeover of HCW continues with billionaire Cushman Armitage trying to strong arm his way into taking over from the existing owners.  Armitage has been using not only his lackey Emmett Millbarge but managers such as ‘The Singapore Sensation’ Matt Preacher, Ant Graham and MJ to plant seeds within the roster which could swing the takeover into his favor.  With Preacher, Graham, MJ and Millbarge all sowing the seeds of insurrection with the promise of ‘glory’ in the future, it seems that nearly 50% of the roster appear to be backing Cushman.  If Armitage can get 51% of the roster behind him, he will have everything he needs to pull off the heist of the century.  Folks, if this happens, this will be worse than when Negronomicon took over the then HWF and CSWA but almost ran it into the ground due to mismanagement and he was a wrestler. Armitage has no background in wrestling and we fear what he may do if he takes control.

Our show begins with GM Max McGillicutty making his way into the building but he is stopped by Cushman Armitage and Emmett Millbarge.  Max says he’s going to his office and HE will be running tonight’s show.  Millbarge gets into his face and says that won’t be happening as he is holding a “writ of habeas corpus” and it’s preventing Max from being backstage tonight.  Max, frustrated, leaves the way he came.  Emmett says he’ll do the same thing to Master Bull in Phoenix and the old guard will make way for the new.

Our first match of the night is kicked off with tag team action. First, Outback Oscar and the Crocodile Hunter make their way out to a pop from the fans.  They make their way down and into the ring.  Next, manager MJ comes out as new music plays “It’s Smashing Time” and out comes the Smashers.  They are booed as they head down to the ring.  They immediately attack Croc and Oscar to kick this one off.  MJ gets involved early by eye gouging Oscar with peanut shells.  Oscar gets in an offensive shot before the Smashers double team him.  After the double team, Oscar makes the hot tag to Croc but as soon as he enters the ring, MJ trips him up at the ropes setting up Smasher #1 to hit the Steel Smasher.  He makes the cover and gets the win.  The Smashers are victorious and the fans boo as their music plays and MJ pumps his team up.  Everyone eventually leaves.  (6 min)

Backstage, Ruby Rose is being interviewed and she says that she won the #1 contenders match against Vanilla Zombie and she is officially challenging Ravishing Raquel for the title at the Supershow on 8/5.  When asked what she’ll do if/when she wins the Ladies title, Ruby said “I’ll be going to Disneyworld!”

Our next match is ready to go.  First, Protocide comes out to a pop from the crowd.  Next, ‘the Singapore Sensation’ Matt Preacher comes out and is followed by both Nix Anderson and Hardcore Hensen.  Anderson is in the match tonight but Hensen must be there for…moral support?  Hensen goes to sit at commentary.  Anderson is handed his ukulele and he tries to play and sing for the crowd but Protocide snatches it from him and as Nix is grabbing for it, Protocide hits Nix’s hand with the musical instrument.  He then discards it and as soon as the bell ring, Protocide slaps on the Super Soldier Test of Strength and Nix TAPS OUT.  Holy Crap that was fast!  Protocide gets the win in only 30 seconds.  He goes to leave but Hensen is there blocking his way.  Anderson gets on the mic and calls Protocide a cheater and demands a rematch right here and now.  Protocide shrugs his shoulders and returns to the ring.  Protocide takes early advantage and continues to work on Nix’s hand.  Nix manages to hit Protocide with the ukulele and goes for a pin but Protocide POWERS out of the pin attempt.  Nix is shocked.   The match continues with Protocide getting a pin attempt but Preacher got Nix’s foot on the ropes.   Preacher got involved slapping Protocide in the face and received a headbutt that knocked him off the apron.   Nix began strutting around the ring and Protocide locked in the Super Soldier Test of Strength but this time, Nix made it to the ropes to break the hold before he could quit.  Protocide hits an elbow smash but Nix hits the Acoustic Equalizer.  He hooks one of Protocide’s legs and gets both of his feet on the ropes for leverage and gets the 1-2-3.  Anderson immediately rolls out of the ring and is flanked by his manager and tag team partner who laugh at outsmarting Protocide.  Eventually, the ring is cleared. (12 min)

Backstage, the World Tag Team Champions are discussing Leon doing a singles match tonight. They are then approached by an interviewer who asks about them defending their tag titles.  El Chango comments that the Machines were supposed to get the next title shot.  Leon adds in “But their performance in the ring was so miserable that they don’t feel they should be next.”  All of a sudden, Davis ‘the Hoff’ Hoffmeister and Magnum Kone walk in and they say that if the Desperados need someone to fight, they are here now and ready.  Emmett Millbarge storms in saying that no one but him gets to make up matches.  He says he likes the idea of this but it won’t be tonight.  Emmett tells the 4 men to come back next week and they will have their match.  Emmett walks off.

Our next match begins with one half of the Tag Team Champions Leon Teremoto making his way down to the ring.  The fans pop for him.  Next, Billy Robbins makes his way out and the fans also pop for him.  Once in the ring, the two men shake hands and this one begins.  Leon controlled the pace of the match and it seemed that the longer it went on, tempers began to flare.  By the time 18 minutes had rolled around, both men were slugging it out in the ring.  Billy hits a flying bodypress but Leon immediately slaps on a side headlock. He then picks Billy up and hits a standing suplex holding Billy in the air for what seems like an eternity before bringing him crashing to the mat.  Leon was exhausted by this time and it took time for him to try to make the cover but the bell rang bringing this one to a draw finish.  Both men made it to their feet and looked like they wanted to continue but shook hands and then left.  (20 min draw)

Backstage, Mason the Mangler is with his manager and Mason issues a challenge tonight to ‘Red Hot’ Lucas Johnston for his spot in the Hardcore title lineup.   Mason says that Lucas has to accept or he’ll be laughed out of HCW.

Our in-ring action continues with the British Crippler making her way down to the ring first.  She comments on her return to HCW and how she’s put in a match against a newbie and how she cheated to win.  She demands that this time, she is given someone with a better pedigree.  Out comes Scarlett Phoenix.  Scarlett gets a huge pop as she heads down to the ring.  The British Crippler tries to attack but Scarlett was expecting it and fought back.  Scarlett took the match to the Crippler who could not believe she was being outsmarted.  She tried to leave the ring once but Scarlett rolled her back in.  The British Crippler rushed the ropes but Scarlett caught her with a flying dropkick.  Scarlett made the cover and got the 3 count.  Scarlett gets the win and immediately rolls out of the ring to avoid being attacked further.  The British Crippler began kicking the ropes in frustration and then eventually left.  (10 min)

Backstage, the Axe is talking with his tag team partner TNT.  Axe tells him that Scooter J is a bully who whines when he doesn’t get his way and then tries to put people into uncomfortable situations.  Axe tells him that he does not have to accept the stipulation that if he loses, he must retire.  TNT shakes his head and says that it is time for HIM to stand up to bullies and says that he will teach Scooter J a lesson he won’t soon forget.

The next match begins with Mason the Mangler and his manager Ant Graham making their way down to the ring.  Graham gets on the mic and says that since Lucas hasn’t responded, he must be a coward and afraid to fight the Mangler.  The music changes and out comes ‘Red Hot’ Lucas Johnston to a HUGE pop from the crowd.  Lucas rushes the ring and Mason and Graham bail.  Lucas says that he accepts and even wants this as no DQ.  Lucas controlled the match for the first few minutes but then Graham stuck his nose in and things went the Mangler’s way.  Graham continued to be a thorn in Lucas’ side until he decided he’d had enough and socked the manager a good one making him a non-factor for the rest of the match.  Lucas then began an offensive run but then Dr. Red Fang rushed out and he and Mason double teamed Lucas.  Since his is a no DQ match, there wasn’t anything the ref could do.  The two ghouls then set up Lucas and Mason hit a stiff piledriver in the middle of the ring.  Fang snarled at the fans and Mason made the cover securing the 3 count.  Mason gets the win and moves up in the rankings and Lucas moves down.  After the Ghouls collected their manager and left, Lucas made it to his feet and after getting what seemed like an even louder pop than when he came out, he made his way to the back to get his neck looked at.

Backstage, the US Champion Drew the Canadian Love Machine is cutting a promo saying he’s looking forward to all challengers for his belt but tonight he gets to face Adam Jameson.  He puts Adam over as deserving the shot and looks forward to their match tonight.

Also backstage, Jacques Beannot is watching the promo and he turns away in disgust.  He almost runs right into ‘The Singapore Sensation’ Matt Preacher.  Preacher tells him that he is right in thinking that Drew is hiding from him as he knows what sort of threat he would be.  Preacher says he knows as he’s seen him up against both Nix and Hardcore Hensen.   Matt hands him a card and says that if he’s ever looking for a change in scenery, give him a call.  Preacher walks off but after a moment of pondering, Jacques drops the card and walks off too.

It is time for our main event.  First, Adam Jameson comes out to a decent pop from the crowd.  Next, the music changes and out comes the US champion Drew the Canadian Love Machine.  The pop Drew gets almost blows the roof off the place.  He makes his way down to the ring, nods to AJ and then climbs each of the turnbuckles to even louder pops from the crowd.  After his final crowd psyche up, Emmett Millbarge comes out and the fans boo.  Emmett says that he’s here to ensure that no funny stuff happens and he sits at commentary.  Drew controls the match from the get-go and has Adam on the ropes the majority of the time. Emmett then gets up and lambasts the ref for not calling Drew out on his illegal tactics.   AJ then hits a low blow on Drew and then hits the Adam Bomb.  He makes the cover and gets the 3 count.  Adam Jameson has just become the NEW US CHAMPION!!!  His celebration though is cut short when Jacques Beannot comes out and says that he is the rightful challenger and wants his title shot RIGHT NOW!

With that, the show comes to an end. Stay tuned as things continue to heat up.
