HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2017 #586

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  Well, today’s show seems to have gotten a bit more interesting.  Prior to the start of the show, Ravishing Raquel walked in on a meeting between Master Bull and the rest of Prestige Inc.  Raquel demanded to know why Bull pulled her from the last show.  Master Bull said he didn’t have time to discuss it right now.  “The Elitist” Reid Rothchild walked over and politely asked her to leave so they could discuss business.  Raquel stormed out of the room.  As she walked around backstage pacing, ScooterJ walked over.  She immediately went on the defensive preparing for some sort of attack but ScooterJ basically told her he wasn’t here to fight.  He said that he has just as much of an issue with Prestige Inc. as she does right now.  ScooterJ says “I’ve been thinking about it and maybe, just maybe, you should be the third member of our team challenging for the 6 man titles on Sunday.”  Raquel gives him a look that says “Really?” and ScooterJ says “It was only a thought.  If not, well, maybe you should go after another belt.”  Raquel stares at him and sarcastically asks “And what belt would that be?  The Ladies titles is already on the line.”  ScooterJ shakes his head and says “I wasn’t talking about that one.”  He slides her a flyer promoting the PPV on Sunday and points at a name.  She looks up at him in shock and ScooterJ walks away and says “Think about it”.  Raquel looks at the flyer and then back up and back at the flyer again.  “Maybe…” she mutters and then walks off.

The show kicks off with our first title match of the evening.  El Chango makes his way out first to a pop from the crowd.  Next, the TV Champion Biceps Bannerman comes out and he is in a foul mood.  The fans mock him and he threatens to hit a couple of them.  He grabbed one kid’s El Chango sign and tore it into many pieces.  Biceps then mockingly laughed in the kid’s face before walking away (btw, the kid did not cry but actually seemed honored that it was his sign that was taken and destroyed on TV).  The ref reminds us this is a No DQ match with a 30 minute time limit.  Biceps gets in the ring and immediately goes after El Chango.  El Chango was waiting for him and just destroyed the champ.  El Chango was on fire and Biceps couldn’t do anything to stop him.  El Chango went for the first pin attempt but Biceps powered out of it.  El Chango kept up the onslaught and eventually tossed Biceps out of the ring.  He followed him out, grabbed a steel chair but Biceps dropped him with a clothesline.  Biceps then grabbed the chair and smacked El Chango in the back 3 times.  He then rolled him back into the ring.  He picked up El Chango and locked in the Biceps Crunch.  El Chango struggled but the pain was too great and he had no choice but to tap out.  Biceps drops him and takes his title and holds it high in victory and parades around the ring.  Biceps motions like he’s going to inflict more damage on El Chango and grabs the chair from the outside of the ring.  He lays it on the mat.  He goes to pick up El Chango but El Chango quickly slaps on a reverse headlock and then drops him face first onto the steel chair knocking him out.  El Chango takes a mic says he can’t challenge for the title anymore but after this, he doesn’t think Biceps will let it go so the fans will see one more match between the two.  El Chango smiles and leaves the ring.  Biceps eventually regains consciousness and is furious.  He grabs his title and leaves.  (12 min for the match; 5 additional for the segment)

Backstage, the Fiend is being interviewed for his upcoming match against the evil vampire (bot) Dr. Red Fang and his jerk of a manager Ant Graham.  The Fiend says that he and the hardcore title are “old friends” and once he defeats Fang and reclaims his title, all will be as it should be.  From elsewhere, we hear “Get Him!” and Fang runs in attacking the Fiend.  The two brawl for a moment but it is quickly broken up.  As all eyes were on Fang, no one saw Ant Graham sneak over (coward) and smack the Fiend with his cane.  Graham stands tall and laughs and Fang comes over and they stand of the Fiend laughing.  Fang ends the segment with a scream of “VAMPIRE LUNGES FOR EVERYONE!”

Next up, Southern Belle makes her way out to the ring to a decent pop from the crowd.  She calls out her PPV opponent the Ladies Champion El Gato Negro.  Belle tells her the two of them should not wait for the PPV but should have their match here and now.  Before El Gato can respond, GM Max McGillicutty comes out and says that their singles match has to wait till Sunday but they can meet in tag team action.  Max then calls out Scarlett Phoenix to be El Gato’s partner and Taylor Bella to be Belle’s.  Once all four ladies were in the ring, the match began.  Belle and El Gato both started off but eventually tagged their tag team partners in.  El Gato and Scarlett Phoenix were cleaning house on their opponents with Belle and Taylor not getting along all that well.  After El Gato hit Belle with the Tailspin, she tagged in Scarlett who was immediately double teamed.  Taylor hit a sunset flip and then Belle hurled Scarlett out of the ring.  Taylor snuck out and went under the ring.  Just as Scarlett was trying to get back in, Taylor grabbed her leg and pulled her under the ring.  The ref, not knowing where Scarlett went, began his count and once he reached 10, he counted Scarlett out and awarded the match to Belle and Taylor (who by this time had surfaced).  El Gato was not happy as Belle and Taylor strutted around the ring doing a victory lap.  Scarlett finally made her way out and snuck in the ring and went after Taylor who immediately bolted leaving Southern Belle alone.  Scarlett chased Taylor to the back.  Belle looked around but didn’t see the Ladies Champion.  Her eyes went wide and she slowly turned around and saw El Gato standing there.  Belle immediately exited the ring and made her way up the ramp.  El Gato eventually followed after shaking hands with the fans at ringside.  (9 min for the match; 5 extra for the rest of the segment)

Master Bull makes his way out to the ring with the 6 man tag team champions Prestige Inc. – Bishop Ripley, Superstar Chic Monroe and Jesse California.  Bull calls out ScooterJ and TNT and asks if they’ve learned how to count to 3 yet.  They laugh.  ScooterJ says he did find the 3rd person for their team and that person has a history with Reid and Bull.  Bull scoffs at him.  ScooterJ then says he wants to see who that person is and then introduces…The Axe!  Axe comes out Bull goes ballistic.  Axe smiles and nods his head.  They motion they will be taking the belts and then leave.  Bull and Prestige Inc follow.

Backstage, the Steel Curtain (Buzz and Starbuck Steel) are being interviewed about their upcoming title match.  Buzz says that Hoff n Spicy are a flash in the pan and they will never be good enough to carry their jock straps.  Starbuck says that when you take crap and repackage it, it’s still crap.  DJ and Hoffmeister?  Really?  Both men laugh and Starbuck gets serious and says that there is no way they are leaving the PPV without their belts.  Buzz leans over and says “Word!”

The next match on the card is Red McNulty with his manager MJ taking on the newest addition to the 6 man tag team match – the Axe.  Axe comes out to an unusually loud pop.  I guess the fans are happy he’s teaming with TNT and ScooterJ to take on Prestige Inc.  To say that that this was an ass-kicking would be an insult to all ass-kickings.  This was more of a massacre.  Axe demolished McNulty.  MJ tried to interfere early and Axe took him out with the Axe.  Axe destroyed McNulty and polished it off with a huge belly to belly suplex.  Axe makes the cover and gets the easy 3 count.  With no time to celebrate, Prestige Inc (Jesse California, Bishop Ripley and Chic Monroe) with Master Bull come down and surround the ring.  Just when they get ready to pounce, TNT and ScooterJ run down with chairs and slide in the ring.  They motion for Prestige Inc to try and get in the ring and as they try, ScooterJ and TNT swing wildly with the chairs making Prestige Inc. second guess their strategy.  Bull finally decides to regroup and they all leave without further altercation.   ScooterJ, Axe and TNT celebrate with the fans and then depart.  (8 min for the match; 5 extra for the segment)
Backstage, King Wilber Townsend and his lackey Sonic Blade are calling out World Champion Texas Wildfire.  TW just happens to be there and enters the area.  Wilber says the match against Sonic Blade was a fluke and the two of them are teaming up for a match tonight against TW and a partner of his choice.  TW says the choice is a no brainer as he knows the perfect person.  Wilber asks who and into the area walks Drew the Canadian Love Machine.  Drew says he’d be happy to join forces with the World Champ.  He shakes hands with TW and reminds him that the two of them will meet again.

We go back to the ring for our next match which will be another 6 man match.  First, Davis Hoffmeister and DJ CJ Spice.  Davis takes the mic and introduces their partner for tonight’s match.  Out comes ‘Dude USA’ Mick Rude to a pop from the crowd.  The three make their way down to the ring.  Next, the Tag Team Champions the Steel Curtain come out and they introduce their partner – ‘The Ragin Cajun’ Rad Gumbo.  The three of them head to the ring.  The team of champs dominated the team of challengers and after the Curtain and Hoff n Spicy brawled on the outside of the ring, Gumbo hits Mick Rude with the Bayou Roll and he makes the cover (with a hook of the tights), he scores the pin.   The Steel Curtain and Rad Gumbo are victorious.  The Curtain and Hoff n Spicy brawled to the back.  While Gumbo paraded around like a peacock, Rude recovered and nailed Gumbo with the Dude Awakening.  Gumbo scurried out of the ring and Mick stood tall in the ring.  Gumbo made some questionable gestures at Rude as he continued to move backwards up the stage.  (16 min)

Backstage, Leon Teremoto says tonight is his turn to get gold around his waist.  He thinks Reid has been spouting off at the mouth for too long and that ends tonight.

Our next match is tag team action once again.  First, Drew the Canadian Love Machine comes out to a huge pop.  He is then joined by World Champion Texas Wildfire who receives a similar ovation.  They go to the ring.  Next, King Wilber Townsend comes out with Sonic Blade in tow.  Wilber orders Sonic to walk beside him and he does.  The two enter the ring.  Wilber had Sonic distract the ref for the majority of this short match.  While that was going on, Wilber hurled Drew out of the ring.  All of a sudden, the Super Shockmaster ran down and began pummeling Drew.  He knocked him silly with the helmet headbutt and then put Drew on a table (conveniently set up earlier by Wilber).  Super Shockmaster then climbed up on the apron and then nailed a Galactic Splash on Drew through the table.  SS got up laughing and then exited through the crowd.  Sonic finally let the ref go and saw the carnage but never the interference.  He began counting as Texas Wildfire went out to check on him but Drew was not able to make it back in the ring.  King Wilber and Sonic Blade get the win in 3 minutes via CO.  Wilber went to raise Sonic’s arm in victory but he pulled away and walked to the back.  Wilber followed.  Medics came out to check on Drew but with TW’s help, he was able to make it to the back.  The fans gave them an ovation even though they lost.

Reid Rothchild is backstage and he mocks Leon Teremoto as a threat.  Master Bull says that Reid wins tonight and Prestige Inc. will arrive in force in the ring afterwards to celebrate Reid’s domination of the roster.

We cut to GM Max McGillicutty’s office and he is going over the lineup for the show.

Rad Gumbo vs Dude USA for the US title
Steel Curtain vs Hoff N Spicy for the Tag Team titles
TW vs King Wilber w/Sonic Blade for the World title
El Gato Negro vs Southern Belle for the Ladies title
Prestige Inc (Bishop, Chic, Jesse) vs ScooterJ, TNT and the Axe
Dr. Red Fang vs the Fiend for the hardcore title

He’s not sure if 6 matches will fill the card.  He thinks he’ll pencil one in and if there is time, he’ll add it.

It’s time for our main event.  Leon Teremoto makes his way out first to a decent pop from the crowd.  Next, Master Bull comes out and tells all the humanoids (yes, he stole that from Bobby Heenan) to stand up and applaud the greatest singles athlete in the history of HCW – ‘the Elitist’ Reid Rothchild.   Reid comes out and joins Bull on stage.  He is then joined by his wife Ravishing Raquel.   Leon took control early and often and Reid had to keep leaving the ring to confer with Master Bull.  Each time he did, Leon turned up the intensity.  Leon came close after hitting Reid with a powerbomb.  He went for the cover but both Raquel and Bull pulled Reid out of the ring to save his hide.   After a final conference with Master Bull, Reid got back in the ring and Leon locked in a grinding headlock.  Reid kicked him in the gut and hit the Rothchild Stunner.  Leon got his foot on the ropes but Raquel knocked it off.  The ref counted 1…2…3!  Reid gets the win.  Prestige Inc. comes down to the ring and celebrates with their leader.   Reid asks for a mic and Bull hands hit to him.  Reid throws out an open challenge to anyone on the roster.  Reid mocks them when no one accepts.  Bull hands him a piece of paper.  Reid flaunts an open contract to anyone who will fight him.  Raquel takes the contract and the mic and says she accepts.  Reid is like WHAT?  Raquel says that women wrestlers before her like Chyna and Sexy Star (Lucha Underground) can dominate in a male-run sport, so can she.  Raquel signs it and then throws the contract in Bull’s face and walks off.  Bull, Reid and the rest of Prestige Inc. are left flabbergasted as the show comes to an end.

That was a hell of a bomb to end with so stay tuned as I’m sure Reid and Master Bull will try to find a way out of this.  Our PPV is next!

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2017 #585

Hello Wrestling fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  It turns out that this show was actually put together at the last minute and we were a bit unprepared to get everything posted.  This will be short but we’ll be back to our normal length(y) newsletters on Wednesday.

The show started off with Covfefe vs Bruce Biltmore.  Bruce began by nullifying a clothesline from Covfefe and then hit him with a springboard back elbow.  Covfefe caught Bruce mid-air dropping him hard and following it up with a Big Splash for the 3 count.  (3 min) Covfefe continues his dominant ways.  Before leaving, he takes the mic and calls Magnum Kone a coward for not meeting him face to face tonight.

Ravishing Raquel was backstage getting ready for her match but Bull stopped her telling her he did sign her up for the match tonight and (to stick it to management), he’s not allowing her to wrestle at all tonight.  Bull leaves and Raquel was pissed.

The next match was Hangman #3 taking on the ‘Master of Sol’ Phat Sol.  The two battled all around the ring but after getting tossed out of the ring as time was running out, Phat made it back in but as he was setting up the Phat’s Enough, the bell rang bringing this one to a draw.  Both men looked like they wanted to continue but ended up leaving.  (20 min draw)

Backstage, King Wilber calls out the World Champion Texas Wildfire saying he wants to scout him.  TW arrives and says he can be seen here (and on TV – he’s had a few guest roles on TV) anytime.  Wilber asks about tonight.  TW says he’s game and says he’ll even give Sonic Blade a non-title match tonight.  TW leaves.  Wilber cackles.

Next on the card is Mason the Mangler taking on Billy Robbins.  Billy took his time beating down on the Mangler but once we hit the 19 min mark, Mason trapped Billy with a mandible claw and Billy had no choice but to tap out.  Mason gets the submission win.  (19 min)

GM Max McGillicutty sees Madame Jade backstage and tells her she’s filling in for Ravishing Raquel tonight and tells her to get ready.

World Champion Texas Wildfire takes on Sonic Blade (w/King Wilber) in a non-title match.  TW kept control of the match even though King Wilber tried on a few occasions to interfere.  Once the ref went down after getting smashed in the corner, Wilber held TW in the ropes.  Sonic went for the Alhambra Attack (spear) but TW moved and hit Wilber instead.  TW then hit Sonic with a Hangman Clotheslines as just as the ref recovered, the cover and a 3 count were made.  TW wins the match in 10 min.  Afterwards, King Wilber berated Sonic who ignored him and walked away.

El Chango says tonight he gets a shot at the TV title and everyone best be aware that there will be a new sheriff, er I mean Champ in town.

Madame Jade vs Lexy Flexx was next.  In a short match, Jade caught Lexy with a springboard dropkick and sealed a win in only 5 min.  After the match, Ravishing Raquel came out on stage calling out Master Bull but he never showed up.  She was still pissed when she left.

For the main event, Biceps Bannerman defends the TV title against El Chango.  Biceps took many pages out of the ‘heel’ playbook and cheated quite a bit during the match.  11 minutes in, Biceps took El Chango out of the ring and after ramming him into the steel steps, he handcuffed him to the ringside barrier.  Biceps made it back in and El Chango got counted out much to the dismay of the fans.  GM Max McGillicutty came out and said that Biceps Bannerman will defend the title AGAIN next week against El Chango and this time it will be a no-DQ match.   Biceps stood their complaining but turned around only to get hit with a diving spear from El Chango that sent him tumbling out of the ring.  El Chango stood tall much to the crowds delight as the show came to an end.

Thanks for reading.  We’ll be back to normal next show.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2017 #584

Hello wrestling fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  Our PPV Independence Day Beatdown is only 11 days away and we have a card that is filling up fast.  6 Championship matches will round out our PPV.  The World, US, Ladies, Hardcore, Tag team and 6 Man championships will all be defended that day.

Pyro goes off and our first match is ready to go.  The Desperados (El Chango and Leon Teremoto) come out first.  As soon as they get in the ring, El Chango takes the mic.  “Hoff and Spicy…you want the match we are entitled to?  Come and try to take it from us.  We are so confident we will hold on to that match but if we somehow lose, we will…let’s see…I know…we’ll dissolve as a tag team.  You heard me right.  We defeat you or we break up.  Get out here and let’s get this moving.  Oh, and it needs to be no DQ.”  Figgy Newton comes out and introduces his team – Hoff n’ Spicy – Davis Hoffmeister and DJ CJ Spice.  Davis and the DJ make their way down to the ring.  It doesn’t take long for this one to get moving.  Hoff begins with a monkey flip and El Chango hits a diving spear.  El Chango locks in a camel clutch but Davis powers out of it and locks in his own Hollywood (camel) Clutch.  He cinched it in really good and before Leon could jump in, El Chango tapped out.  HOLY COW!  Hoff n’ Spicy won the match and now the Desperados have to break up.  Leon, perturbed, walked off.  El Chango eventually rolled out of the ring and made his way to the back.  Hoff n Spicy are going to the PPV to challenge for the Tag Team Titles.  As they were celebrating, the Steel Curtain rush the ring and attack Davis and the DJ beating them down.  Starbuck and Buzz ended up standing over their opponents with their belts held high.  (2 min for the match; 5 for the rest of the segment)

Leon Teremoto arrives backstage.  Leon says his days as a tag team wrestler are over and now he moves on to singles matches and addresses his match with Reid.  He says Reid has overlooked him and that will be his undoing.  Reid walks in and says “Overlook you?  Who ARE you?  Boy, do you even know what you’re doing?  You know that guy Otto Ruthless?  He has two wins in HCW and guess what, one was against you.  You lose to some guy named Otto Ruthless and you actually think you have a chance against me?  If I wasn’t being forced into this match, I’m sure I would have found a more worthy opponent.”  Leon attacks Reid and they have to be separated.  Reid backs off looking a little less confident.

We move on to our second match and Southern Belle makes her way down to the ring for her match.  Next, the Duchess makes her way out.  Duchess says she’s issuing a challenge to Belle for her title shot at the PPV.  Belle accepts.  Belle begins wiping the mat with the Duchess so her royalness calls in the calvary.  Lady Hermann runs down and as the Duchess distracts the ref, Lady Hermann beats Belle down.  Belle is not able to get back up and is counted out.  The Duchess wins…hang on…GM Max McGillicutty is out here.  Max says that this can go two ways.  Duchess can win the match but NOT the title shot OR they can restart the match right here and now.  Duchess has no choice and accepts the restart.  Max adds that it will be “Brawl Games” rules.  By the time 20 minutes rolled around, Belle had beaten the snot out of the Duchess.  With no way to get counted out, the Duchess sort of limped along.

Larry Morton is backstage with Ant Graham and Dr. Red Fang.  Graham complains that his man is being forced to not only wrestle tonight but also at the PPV.  Larry tells his it’s just too bad and Fang nearly takes a bite out of Larry.  Fang glares at the camera and exclaims “VAMPIRE LUNGES FOR EVERYONE!”

Our next match is 6 man tag team action.  First, the 5th Column (Baron von Blood, Oswald Zimmerman and Karl Braun) come out and are booed.  Next, the Huber clan (Ferb, Butch and Junior) come out and the fans don’t care much for them either.  Despite Karl being injured numerous times in the match, the 5th Column beat the holy hell out of the Huber’s (135 to 220) and it was Mr. Injury prone Karl Braun who actually managed to nail a flying krautline and score the pin for his team.  The 5th Column stand victorious and the Baron warns 6 man champs Prestige Inc. that they are coming for those belts. (28 min)

Backstage, The Ambassador says it’s time to unveil his new protégés and introduces his new team and in walk the Steel Curtain.  Buzz says he and Starbuck were tired of getting screwed over by management and the Ambassador is here to take care of that business for them.  Starbuck leans in and says “Word.  I’d say more but that seems to sum it up.”

We go back to the ring for the first of two title matches tonight.  First, Muscles Thorpe makes his way down and he’s acting all goofy.  Next, Ant Graham comes out and introduces the Hardcore Champion Dr. Red Fang.  Fang rushes the ring and attacks Thorpe.  It didn’t do much good as Thorpe overpowered Fang and beat him up and down the ring.  Fang finally began making a comeback but Thorpe went for an overhead suplex but Fang managed to reverse it and after distracting the ref, Ant smashed Thorpe with his walking cane.  Thorpe crumbled to the mat.  Fang went for the quick cover and got the 1-2-3.  Dr. Red Fang wins the match.  (15 min)  Just then, the Fiend ran down to the ring and grabbed a chair.  Fang took off but left his manager behind.  Trapped, Graham pleaded for the Fiend to show mercy but there was none and the Fiend locked Graham into the Devils Lock (figure four).  Graham screamed but The Fiend said the only way to be freed was to grant him the title match at the PPV.  Graham relented and agreed.  The Fiend released him only to be attacked with a chair by the vile Vampire.  Fang dropped the Fiend with a Vampire Lunge and then helped his manager to the back.  The Fiend recovered pretty quickly and soon followed.

TV champion Biceps Bannerman is backstage.  He says he too is being discriminated against by having to wrestle tonight and at the next show.  He says it doesn’t really matter and he’s going to win anyway.

Master Bull brings Prestige Inc to the ring.  He announces that they are defending the 6 man titles at the PPV but there will be a change.  Bull introduces the newest member to Prestige Inc…Jesse California.  Jesse comes out and joins his new teammates.  With a nod from Master Bull, Jesse, Chic and Bishop all attack TNT beating him down.  Master Bull then fires TNT from Prestige Inc.  The team beats him down until ScooterJ runs down with a chair and clears the ring.  ScooterJ says that if Bull and his bunch of lackeys want to put the belts on the line, he will be willing to team with TNT to challenge for it.  Bull says ScooterJ can’t count as they need 3.  ScooterJ says that as long as the belts are on the line, he will find a third member.

It is time for our main event.  Outback Oscar comes out first to a good pop from the crowd.  Next, TV Champion Biceps Bannerman comes out and he is booed by the crowd.    Bannerman enters the ring and immediately attacks Oscar.  Despite the sneak attack, Oscar owned the match and really took it to the TV champion.  Bannerman kept trying to battle back but this was Oscar’s night…or it would have been had they had a longer time limit.  Oscar saw he was running out of time and kept trying to get a pin or submission but Biceps would either roll out of the ring, grab the ropes or the ref in desperation.  Finally, the bell rang bringing this one to a 20 min draw.  Biceps was quick to grab his title and leave but half way up the ramp, he stops when pyro goes off.  Stepping onto the stage is El Chango.  El Chango gets into Biceps’ face and says he’s challenging for the TV title at our next show.  The show comes to an end with both men having a stare down contest on the ramp.

That’s all for now.  Be sure to stay tuned in as the PPV will be here before you know it.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2017 #583

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  The show begins backstage in GM Max McGillicutty’s office.  Max says that the Steel Curtain are pushing the envelope and tonight he reminds them who’s in charge.  He announces he will be the special guest referee for the tag team title match.

Our opening bout kicks off with Outback Oscar making his way down to the ring.  The fans give him a good welcome.  Next, ScooterJ comes out and his is still mixed but the fans are becoming more accepting of him.  The two had some good back and forth and after Oscar hit some chops to the chest (and the fans would respond with WOOOOO each time), ScooterJ fell to the mat.  Oscar went for the pin but only got a two count.  ScooterJ would battle back attempting a pin of his own 3 times with Oscar kicking out each time.   Finally, ScooterJ got Oscar in the corner and delivered the 10 punches.  ScooterJ then rolled him up and got the 1-2-3.  ScooterJ gets the win at 17 minutes.  All of a sudden, Master Bull came out with TNT.  ScooterJ saw them, exited the ring, grabbed a chair and then re-entered the ring.  Master Bull told TNT to attack ScooterJ but TNT pointed out that he was armed with a chair.   Bull yelled at him to “go” but TNT looked at ScooterJ, then to Bull and then walked to the back.  Bull, surprised, turned and went after TNT.   ScooterJ eventually left the ring.

The Ambassador says that with the implosion of his last team (Pete the PUN-isher and Magnum Kone), he needed to find a new team to manage and he says he’s found himself a tag team worthy of his managerial skills.  He says he’ll be introducing them soon.

We move on to our next match.  First, the Fiend comes out to a good pop.  He is followed out by the Crocodile Hunter who gets an even bigger pop.  The two shake hands and the match begins.  This one was another very close match with both men going for pin attempts and the other kicking out or making it to the ropes.  At one point, tempers began to flare but they eventually settled down and got back to entertaining the fans.  The Fiend noticed the time was running out fast and Croc went for a falling overhead kick but the Fiend neutralized it.  He then cinched up Croc and nailed the Last Caress (swinging DDT).  He went for the cover only getting a 1 count before the bell rang signaling the end of the match.  This one ends in a draw.  Both men shook hands and Croc left first.  As soon as he was out of the ring, Dr. Red Fang ran in from the crowd and attacked the Fiend hitting him with a Vampire Lunge.  Croc ran back to the ring but he too got hit by a Vampire Lunge.   Fang leaned on the ropes snarling at the fans and didn’t notice Croc and the Fiend both make it to their feet.  Fang turns around and Croc and the Fiend begin peppering him with lefts and rights going back and forth.  Fang finally had enough and slid out of the ring.  Fang went to the back and Croc and the Fiend both shook hands one last time and then left at the same time.

Figaroa ‘Figgy’ Newton is backstage with his team – Hoff n’ Spicy and Taylor Bella.  Figgy tells Taylor that since Hoff and DJ have debuted as a team, they are undefeated.  She, on the other hand, doesn’t seem to listen to his advice and her record is not nearly as good.  Figgy says Taylor has a match today and if doesn’t get her head on straight, there will be changes in their immediate future.

We go back to the ring for our next match.  Jesse California comes out first to a decent pop.  Next, his opponent Otto Ruthless comes out.  Ruthless doesn’t have the best record when it comes to win/loss so he’s hoping for a win here.  Otto started off strong but Jesse had the endurance to keep the match going even after Otto ran out of steam.  Otto had eye raked Jesse in hopes of catching a breather but Jesse recovered faster and locked Otto in with a bodyscissors sleeperhold.  Otto, out of gas, tapped out.  Jesse California gets the win.  (19 min)

Magnum Kone shows up backstage and the fans pop.  He’s being interviewed by Clarkus Kentus.  Magnum begins “Covfefe or whatever your name is…I don’t know why you have a beef with me but the fans know I don’t back down from any challenge and anytime you want to get in the ring with me, guess what…I’ll be ready.”

“Figgy” Newton comes out with Taylor Bella and he is still trying to give her advice.  He attempts to explain the situation but Taylor seems stubborn.   Next, Scarlett Phoenix makes her way out and the fans pop.  We can see that it clearly irritates Taylor.  Taylor heeded Figgy’s advice right off the bat and went ape-shit on Scarlett.  We cannot remember the last time Taylor was this aggressive.  Figgy applauded but eventually Scarlett started her own comeback and Taylor began to falter.  As the match reached the end, Taylor was completely on the defensive and struggled to kick out of pin attempts.  Finally, the bell rang bringing this one to a draw.   Taylor and Figgy left and he seems to feel she’s finally gotten the message.  (20 min)

Max arrives back at his office and has his ref gear.  He enters the office to change.  Buzz and Starbuck Steel roll up on a forklift carrying a bunch of pallets.  They drop them off and park the forklift right in front of the office door.  Max looks out through a window and shakes his head.  “Don’t these morons realize the door opens from the inside?”  He goes to open the door and notices the way is completely blocked.  He curses as he realizes he’s been outsmarted.  Looks like he won’t be able to ref tonight’s main event.

It’s time for the main event.  This match will be for the World Tag Team titles.  First, two members of the Muscles Trio – Muscles McGuire and Muscles Weasley.  They come out dressed with their rainbow colored bullhorns and they run around acting all goofy.  Next, the champs the Steel Curtain make their way down.  Buzz and Starbuck are now totally being booed.  They don’t care.  The champs beat down on the Muscles for 5 minutes before the action spilled out of the ring.  Starbuck and Weasley (the two legal men) were brawling on the outside. Neither of the two were able to respond to the 10 count so both teams ended up getting counted out.  The champs retain the belts on the countout win.

All of a sudden, the Desperados (El Chango and Leon Teremoto) came out and they said that with them next in line, what just transpired would not happen.  They are interrupted by Figgy Newton and Hoff n Spicy.  Davis Hoffmeister took the mic and questioned El Chango on their win/loss record as compared to his and DJ CJ’s.  Hoff says they are undefeated in tag team action and should get the next title shot.  El Chango gets into Hoff’s face and offers to have the two teams settle it next show.  Hoff n’ Spicy vs the Desperados with the winning team facing the Tag Team “schmucks” at the PPV.  All four men shook hands and that is how the show ended.

Thanks for reading.  More action to continue.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2017 #582

Hello fans and welcome back to our show.  Tonight, the Ragin Cajun himself Rad Gumbo is on hand to defend the US title.  GM Max McGillicutty comes out and thanks the fans for attending and says he’s got some big news.  In just a few weeks, on 7/2, HCW will host its next PPV – Independence Day Beatdown.  Max tells us that all 6 matches on the card will be title matches.  The only two belts that won’t be defended will be the Elitist title (Master Bull pulled a fast one and put Reid’s title defense the show before) and the TV title as current champion Biceps Bannerman will be fighting a week before.  Without further ado, let’s get this show moving!

Our first match of the evening begins with former Ladies Champion Starr Vixen coming out to a good pop from the crowd.  Next, Southern Belle makes her way out to a mixed reaction from the crowd.  Belle takes the mic and says she’s using this air time to challenge El Gato Negro for the Ladies title at the PPV.  The fans pop.  Starr takes the mic and says she’s challenging Belle for that spot right now.  She says if she beats Belle, she gets the shot at the belt.  Before Belle could respond, the bell rang starting off the match.  Starr began with trying to hit the Flying Fivearm but Belle caught her and used her momentum to send her crashing into the corner steel post.  After that, Belle went to work on the arm and shoulder and Starr was barely able to keep up.  The end came after Belle hit the Southern Swing and hooked the leg for a 3 count.  Southern Belle retains her title shot at the PPV.  (8 min)

Backstage, Buzz and Starbuck Steel barge into Max’s office.  Buzz demands to know why Sneezy and Dopey (Hoff n Spicy) or the Desperate-rados are even being considered for a title shot.  Max reminds Buzz that he calls the shots (Buzz whispered that he thinks Max calls #900 numbers) and Starbuck laughs.  Max chuckles and tells the Steel Curtain “You know what else is funny?  Buzz, you get Angry Jack Lawson in a match.”  Buzz is irate.  “Starbuck”, Max continues, “you get the Crocodile Hunter.  You boys better go get ready for your matches.”  Buzz and Starbuck storm out and Max shakes his head.

Our next match starts off with Starbuck Steel making his way out to the ring.  I think by now the fans are starting to turn on the Steel Curtain and Buck’s reception from the fans was not overly pleasant.  Next, the Crocodile Hunter comes out and the crowd pops huge for him.  He gets in the ring and soaks in the adulation from the fans.  For 4 minutes, Croc went to town beating the snot out of Starbuck.  Starbuck tried to leave but Croc brought him back in.  After a few more minutes of beating Starbuck down, Croc went for a high risk move and Buck hit the ropes causing Croc to crotch himself on the top turnbuckle (OUCH).  Starbuck hit a Starplex and went for a pin but Croc managed to kick out.  Starbuck started an offensive run but Croc brought that to a screeching halt after hitting the Prince’s Throne.  Starbuck decided he’d had enough and rolled out of the ring and made his way to the back.  He ended up getting counted out awarding the win to Crocodile Hunter via CO.  Croc celebrated with the fans briefly before leaving. (13 ½ min)

Super Shockmaster is backstage and he criticizes World Champion Texas Wildfire for the lackluster talent he’s defending his title against.  SS says that TW is being protected against real competition and says he stands up against anyone who thinks they are worthy.  “What about me?” sounds behind him and SS turns around only to start eating the flying fists from Drew the Canadian Love Machine.  The two men brawl and after SS grabs a chair and Drew FORCIBLY takes it from him, SS beats a hasty retreat.  Drew is standing there stewing.

We head back to the ring as Buzz Steel makes his way down and like Starbuck, the fans voice their displeasure at him.  Next, Angry Jack Lawson makes his way out and he looks to be in a foul mood…like someone stole his lollypop.  He rushes the ring and Buzz bails.  After some procrastination, Buzz finally gets back in the ring.  Buzz went to the top rope but Jack caught him and slammed him to the ground.  Buzz got up pretty quick and dropkicked Jack to the outside of the ring.  As Jack was making his way back in, Buzz hits him with the Buzz Cut but Jack rolls back out of the ring to avoid the pin.  Jack makes it back in and after eye raking Buzz, he climbed to the top rope and hit Buzz with a flying clothesline.  He makes the cover but Buzz kicks out at 2.   Buzz goes for a reverse neckbreaker but Jack reverses it and hits an Angry chokeslam.  Jack goes for the pin but Buzz kicks out.   Buzz hits the Buzz Cut again and follows it up with a  flying knee smash but Jack no-sells it and hits Buzz with another Angry Chokeslam.  He makes the cover and gets the 1-2-3.  Angry Jack Lawson wins this one.  He crinkles his face in disgust and leaves.  (9 min)

Ferb Huber is backstage and says he has family to watch his back and Gumbo has no one but a spindly little manager. That will make the difference when he wins the belt tonight.

The next match kicks off with 2 members of the Snake Pit – Niven and Leiton Snake  - making their way down to the ring.  Next, music hits and it’s a remixed version of “Can’t touch this/Under Pressure” but it’s tweaked enough (hey, if Vanilla Ice can change it, so can they - instead of it being dananananananana, it was more like dadadadadadadadada) and out comes “Figgy” Newton and the team of Hoff n Spicy – Davis ‘the Hoff’ Hoffmeister and DJ CJ Spice.   The fans still don’t know what to make of them – some cheer and some boo.   The Hoff does a little dance (think Grandmaster Sexay) and DJ pretends he’s working a turntable.  Davis and DJ were on fire and with Figgy’s help, owned the match.  Lots of double teaming from Hoff n Spicy kept the Snake Pit off their game.  While both the Hoff and DJ were in the ring,  Leiton caught Hoff with a slingblade but DJ hit him with a Superplex.  Hoff then hurled Leiton out of the ring and he was in no shape to make it back in.  Hoff n Spicy get the win much to the delight of their manager.  Figgy and his team celebrated and then left.  (12 min)

US Champion Rad Gumbo is with his manager MJ and he says that the great champion he is, not only will he defend and retain his title tonight, in two weeks, he’ll accept the challenge of Dude USA and defend the title against him at the PPV.  Gumbo says no one is more ‘Merican than he and will prove it tonight.

It’s time for the main event.  Ferb Huber makes his way out accompanied to the ring by his brothers Junior and Butch Huber.  The ref tells the clan that Junior and Butch are not authorized to be at ringside and he sends them to the back.  Next, MJ comes out and introduces the US Champion ‘The Ragin Cajun’ Rad Gumbo.  Gumbo comes out to a decent pop.  Ferb, perturbed that his clan was sent from ringside, goes right after Rad.  The offense was short lived as Rad turned up the heat and Ferb had to get out of the kitchen.   MJ tried one too many times to help Rad out and Ferb went after him nearly incapacitating him.  Rad was not happy someone tried to attack his manager and he took it out on Ferb.  After dropping Ferb with the “where you at” jabs, MJ used some peanut shells and used them to eye gouge Ferb.  Rad went for a pin but Ferb got his foot on the ropes.  Rad distracted the ref as MJ used more peanut shells to eye gouge Ferb and then Rad pulled Ferb into the middle of the ring, hooked the leg and got the 1-2-3.  Rad Gumbo retains the US title.  All of a sudden, Dude USA Mick Rude came out and confronted Rad on his cheating.  Gumbo asked the ref if he saw anything and the ref was clueless.  The show came to an end with Rad flaunting the US title in the face of Mick Rude.

That’s all for now.  Stay tuned for more action.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2017 #581

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  Our show today hits the road once again and this time, we are coming to you from the Pacific Northwest – Seattle, WA.   Our card today will be highlighted with a main event featuring our World Champion Texas Wildfire defending his championship.  Before the show, TW appeared on the local morning talkshow and discussed carrying the championship and being the face of the company.  He stated he loves wrestling for HCW and looks at the camera and states he will defend the title against all comers and he looks forward to seeing what HCW’s best he can help bring out.

The show kicks off today with ‘Dark Storm’ Travis Ryzing making his way down to the ring to a mixed reaction from the crowd.  Next, Phat Sol makes his way out to a pop from the crowd.  Phat started off like a firecracker only letting Travis get in one offensive move in the first 8 minutes of the match.  After that, Travis began an offensive run but getting hit with the Phat Phat brought that to a screeching halt.  Phat throws Travis to the ropes and catches him, swings him, around, and bodyslams him in the middle of the ring.  He makes the cover and gets the 1-2-3.  Phat Sol gets the win and the fans pop for him. (18 min)

There is commotion backstage and as the cameraman arrives, he notices that the ‘King of Cones’ Magnum Kone is laid out.  There is no one around who seems to have perpetrated this attack.  Help finally arrives and Magnum is taken away.

Max is in his office and says that with Magnum laid out, he needs someone to take his place.  A person walks in (we don’t see his face as he’s wearing a mask) dressed all in black.  He tells Max he’s here to wrestle.  Max asks his name.  The masked man only replies with “Covfefe”.  Max says “Wait, what did you say?”  The masked man glares at him and just says “Covfefe”.   Max looks at him confused and shakes his head.  “Ok, whatever.  You’re on next.”  The masked man leaves.

Wendell Hammerschimdt makes his way down first but before he can get into the ring, the new guy only known as Covfefe rushes down and attacks Wendell beating him down.  He drags Wendell into the ring and beats him down for 2 minutes until Wendell battles back.  At 10 min mark, Covfefe hits a big splash and makes the cover for the 1-2-3.  Covfefe stands tall as the crowd boos him.  He takes a microphone.  “Magnum Kone was weak.  If he was stronger, he would have defeated his nemesis with greater ease.  He did not and now, I am here to challenge him, break him and destroy all he stands for.”  The booing from the crowd increases as Covfefe leaves the ring.

Perfect Pecs Stoddard is backstage being interviewed.  He says tonight is his chance to win gold and the man with the most perfect pecs in the world will be crowned the NEW World Champion.

We’re ready for our next match.  Talon McFrost vs Superquake Ferguson.  The Superquake comes out first.  Talon comes out second.  Superquake controlled the first part of the match but then Talon started to make a comeback.  He managed to lock Superquake up with the Yukon Cloverleaf but somehow Superquake got up with Talon still on him and dumped Talon and himself over the top rope and landed hard on top of Talon.  Superquake then tossed Talon into the crowd.  He rolled back in but Talon was not able to answer the count.  Superquake Ferguson gets the win via countout decision.  (5 ½ min)

Madame Jade is backstage and says she’s wrestling tonight taking on Scarlett Phoenix.  She says that Phoenix will go up in flames and she will be victorious tonight.

We head back to the ring for tag team action.  The Smashers come out first to booing from the crowd.  Next, Adam Jameson and Billy Robbins make their way out to a pop from the crowd.   Right off the bat, the Smashers hurl Adam and Billy into opposite corner posts injuring them.  For 4 minutes, the Smashers decimated their opponents.  AJ and Billy made a serious run at a comeback but the Smashers would re-injure them again bringing their progress to a screeching halt.  After they thought they were done beating them down, Smasher #2 bodyslammed Billy from the top rope.  He made the cover and got the easy pin.  The Smashers win this one in pretty brutal fashion.  (25 min)

Scarlett Phoenix is backstage and she says that Madame Jade has been on a losing streak as of late and she wants to take out her frustrations on her.  She’s not going to let that happen and once she wins, she’s going to make a run at the Ladies title.

As our next match kicks off, Madame Jade makes her way out to a mixed reaction from the crowd.  Scarlett Phoenix comes out and the fans pop for her.  She gets in the ring and stares at Jade on the other side of the ring.  For 9 minutes, Scarlett was in control of the match but after having her face dragged across the top rope blinding her killed her momentum.  Jade hit a springboard dropkick and went for a pin but Scarlett got her foot on the ropes at the very last second.  Jade then bounced Scarlett’s head off the corner turnbuckle and went for a pin again but Scarlett kicked out at 2.  Scarlett managed to take Jade down with a headscissors take down but Jade hit another springboard dropkick.  This time she hooked the leg (and the tights) getting the 1-2-3.  Madame Jade gets the win.  She celebrates briefly before leaving.  (12 min)

The World Tag Team Champions the Steel Curtain are backstage.  Buzz starts off “You know ‘Buck, it seems all kinds are now coming out of the woodwork…the Desperate-ados and now these two new morons Hoff n Spicy”.   Starbuck interrupts “More like Huff and a Puff”.  Buzz laughs.  “Good one ‘Buck.  We’re the World tag team champs and these posers want a shot at us.”  Starbuck adds “And they think they’re worthy.  Hardly.  We got the Muscles in a week for these belts and those Desperate Blowhards better keep their pitiful selves out of our business.”  Buzz finishes “Or they’ll wish for new jobs…like mopping floors.”  Starbuck leans in and says “Word” and they leave.

It’s time for our main event.  Perfect Pecs Stoddard comes out first to booing from the crowd.  Next, the World Champion Texas Wildfire comes out to a HUGE pop from the crowd.  This match will be for the World title.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2017 #580

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  Before anything can begin, Master Bull makes his way down to the ring.  He says it may seem like he’s hijacking the show but rest assured, he got clearance and today’s show will ONLY be about Prestige Inc.  Bull goes on to say that the 6 man tag team champs will all be in singles action but gracing us with their presence tonight will also be Ravishing Raquel and the Elitist Reid Rothchild.  The agreement set up between him and GM Max McGillicutty allowed Max to pick selected wrestlers who he wanted on the show but Bull has the final say-so in setting up the matches.  Max did tell Master Bull that the show is contractually obligated to run no less than 1:45 and no longer than 3 hours.  Max added in that if all the Prestige Inc. matches run short, he will have the option to add more matches to the card.  Bull said he agreed.  Bull says that the show begins now!

Match #1:  Making his way down first to the music of “Ice Dagger Baby” is Ice Dagger.  The fans boo him because, well, he sucks.  Next, TNT makes his way down to the ring and he gets a mixed reaction.  Bull is not happy with that and demands TNT attack Dagger to draw heat.  He was reluctant to do so but Ice Dagger wasn’t so Dagger attacked TNT and that got the big man moving.  For 7 minutes, TNT stayed toe to toe with him but after Master Bull went to trip Ice Dagger and got TNT instead, things went south for TNT.  Dagger began beating the tar out of him and Bull yelled for TNT to get his act together.  After being beat on for 8 minutes, TNT hurled Ice Dagger out of the ring.  He then repeatedly hurled him into the ringside barrier.  Just when the ref was going to hit 10, TNT rolled back in beating the count and gets the win via countout decision.  Master Bull joined him in the ring but didn’t look all that happy but raised his arm in victory.  TNT eventually left (15 ½ min)

Backstage, not wresting tonight (as his name wasn’t drawn) is Drew the Canadian Love Machine.  Drew addresses the sneak attack by Super Shockmaster and tells him that if he wants to try that again but this time to his face, he knows where to find him.

Bull then announces our next match.  The Crocodile Hunter comes out first to a huge pop from the crowd (I think Bull was starting to regret that decision) and he points a finger at Bull warning him not to interfere in his match.  Next, Prestige Inc. member Superstar Chic Monroe comes out and the fans, of course, are negative towards him.  Bull of course interfered early and that gave Chic all the momentum he needed to carry the match.  Chic dominated Croc and then finally decided to end it after hitting a cradle facebuster for the 1-2-3.  Superstar Chic Monroe gets the win in 14 min and celebrates with Master Bull before leaving.

Ravishing Raquel is backstage and she says that 2017 hasn’t been all that fair to her but she has determination on her side and it will only be a matter of time before she’s back in the Ladies title hunt and the gold will be back around her waist.

Match #3 is ready to go and first out comes ScooterJ who surprisingly gets a pop from the crowd.  Maybe, the crowd thinks, ScooterJ will get another round with Reid Rothchild but is disappointed when Bishop Ripley comes out instead.  ScooterJ stops Bishop before he entered the ring.  ScooterJ tells Bull that if he wins tonight, he wants another shot at Reid.  Bulls says ok but then says he’s modifying this match now to be a Lumberjack match.  Bull calls TNT, Chic Monroe and Reid all down to the ring to act as lumberjacks.  He says he’ll fill in the fourth spot.  This was nothing short of an ambush.  The lumberjacks got directly involved in the match and try as he might, ScooterJ could not hold his own with the numbers greatly stacked against him.  Even with the extended time limit granted, this one still only went 37 minutes but it was Bishop who got the win after a Double Log Jam attack with assistance from Reid and Chic.  Bishop Ripley gets the win and they all stand over the fallen form of ScooterJ.  Master Bull motions for medics to come get this ‘piece of garbage’ out of the ring.  Medics come take ScooterJ out on a stretcher and Prestige Inc. laugh from the ring.

Also supposedly not on the card tonight but is backstage is Dude USA Mick Rude.  Rude says he’s calling out the US Champion Rad Gumbo and challenging him for the belt at the “Independence Day Beatdown” PPV at the beginning of July.  He hopes Rad accepts and then shows off with poses that were made famous by Hulk Hogan.

Bull has the mic again and says it’s time for one woman to dominate like she’s always done.  Missy Chick comes out first but Ravishing Raquel is hot on her heels and attacks her with ferocity.  Missy ended up fighting back and controlled the match almost through its entirety.  Bull was able to give Raquel some words of wisdom and she took the fight to the outside of the ring introducing Missy to the steel steps the hard way.  Raquel stomped on here as Missy curled into a fetal position to protect herself.  Raquel makes it back into the ring just before the 10 count and is declared the winner of the match by countout decision.   Master Bull joined Raquel in the ring raising her arm in victory.  Raquel eventually left.  (23 min)

Backstage is GM Max McGillicutty.  Max points out that they’ve only used just under an hour and a half and he says that if Reid’s match runs short, he will add one more match to the show whether Bull likes it or not.

The final match (or is it?) is ready to begin.  Master Bull introduces the big man – The Axe.   Axe comes out and gets a mixed reaction from the crowd.  Music begins to play and out comes ‘The Elitist’ Reid Rothchild.  Reid and Axe have had a past under the old HWF/CSWA banner but once Reid hits the ring, he acts like he’s never seen him before.   Max comes out and says he doesn’t want to see another match end via a DQ so he says that not only will this match be 60 min time limit, it will also be a no DQ/CO.  Axe dominated the match but Bull was there to make the save each and every time and of course, Axe got tired of that so he went after Master Bull chasing him around the ring.  Axe stopped in his tracks, changed direction and caught Bull as he came flying around the ring dropping him with the Axe which got a HUGE pop from the crowd.  Axe gets back in the ring but Reid ends up clipping the knee and Axe goes down.  Reid then locked in the Figure Four Reid Lock but Axe wouldn’t tap out.  Reid let him get to his feet and then rushed in hitting a Rothchild Stunner.  Reid made the cover and (with a hook of the tights) got the 1-2-3.  Reid Rothchild is victorious in his match.  This means every member of Prestige Inc. got a victory (if not somewhat tainted) tonight.  (20 min)

Max makes his way out and says that Bull just barely made the time limit but feels that there should still be one final match tonight.  Bull reminds Max that tonight is HIS show and Max says that’s fine so he gets to pick who will wrestle AGAIN tonight.  Bull is irate.  Max gives him one more chance to either back out or let someone else on the show or pick two.  He says he’ll make it worth their while.  If his team can win tonight, they will be catapulted into the Tag Team rankings for a title match.  If not, this team will.  Bull says fine and accepts saying that Bishop and Chic will represent once again.  Max then introduces the new team called Hoff n Spicy and Davis Hoffmeister and DJ CJ Spice make their way out to the ring with their manager Figgy Newton.   The short matches Chic and Bishop had earlier must have been draining as Hoff n Spicy owned them.  Figgy neutralized Bull which gave his team the advantage.  Bishop got in the ring only to get injured and for 10 minutes, he practically did nothing.  Once he made the hot tag to Chic, both Hoff and DJ hit the ring.  DJ crouched down and got behind Chic.  The Hoff nailed Chic with a clothesline and he fell backwards over DJ.  Hoff makes the cover and gets the 1-2-3.  Davis and DJ CJ Spice get their second win and now are added to the Tag Team top 10.  Bull is on the outside of the ring yelling as the show comes to an end.

Thanks for reading.  Stay tuned as we are sure Bull is not going to let this sit.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2017 #579

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  We have an exciting show today with ‘Figgy’ Newton debuting his new tag team; former World Champion Drew the Canadian Love Machine will be on the card and a main event seeing Ladies Champion Starr Vixen defend her title against El Gato Negro.  All this and more are coming your way so let’s get this started.

Our first match kicks off with 5th Column member Baron Von Blood making his way down to the ring.  Next, the Crocodile Hunter makes his way out to a huge pop from the crowd.   The Baron cheated multiple times during the match but Croc held his own and the longer it went on, Croc seemed to get better and better and by the time the time limit was nearing, Croc was dominating the Baron.  Croc hit an inverted lung blower but then Baron choked him on the ropes.  As the ref was breaking up the illegal maneuver, the bell rang bringing this one to a draw.  Baron noticed that Croc was not backing down so he took that time to bail out of the ring and head to the back.  Even though this one officially ended in a draw, the Crocodile Hunter really was the victor.  (20 min draw)

King Wilber Townsend shows up with Sonic Blade in tow and says that now that Sonic is part of his “family”, HCW will never be the same.  He laughs maniacally as Sonic stands there stoic.

There is a bit of fanfare as manager Figaroa ‘Figgy’ Newton makes his way down to the ring yelling into his megaphone to get people on their feet. He gets in the ring and trades the megaphone for a microphone.  He says tonight, he brings in a team that will turn the tag team division on its ear.  Figgy says that Hollywood has been really accepting of two former talents and they have made a name for themselves starring in a buddy cop movie that is part “Miami Vice”, part “21 Jump Street” and part “Showtime”.  Figgy then introduces his new team to the HCW world.  “First, you knew him as the Stache but that lame character is done and gone.  Now, Hollywood has turned him into one of them and now, he returns to the squared circle new and improved.  Joining him is his film star co-worker…a one-time ‘King’ but now a Legend in the club scene.  Ladies and Gentleman, I give you…Davis ‘the Hoff’ Hoffmeister and DJ CJ Spice!”  The new duo come out and are instantly booed (like the level of the original flat top Rocky Miavia).  Davis and DJ make their way into the ring and the fans turn up the intensity showing their dislike for their choices in ‘upgrades’.  Davis takes the mic.

“Figster, you have got the highlights of Hollywood here in this ring man and DAMN, these fans can turn on a dime.  We are not here to cater to the whims of the masses any longer.  We are here for ourselves, using this medium to promote Hollywood and turn the world of wrestling on its ear.”  He then hands the mic to DJ CJ Spice.

“Well said, Hoff.  First, we took Hollywood by storm and with the Figarooni at our side, we will take over HCW.  Between Hoff and I, we are the NEW HCW and it doesn’t matter if the fans love or hate you, we WILL go through you until we reach the pinnacle and that will be the Tag Team Champions.”

He hands the mic back to Figgy.  “Tonight, my new charges will debut and show the world what they can do.  Ladies and Gentleman, shut your pie holes and welcome the new team of ‘Hoff and Spicy’”.  Davis and DJ stand tall as the fans are driven into even more of a frenzy.  Figgy leaves the ring as Hoff and Spicy get ready for their debut match.

Their opponents – 2 members of the Muscles Trio -   Muscles McGuire and Muscles Weasley make their way down and the fans pop for them hoping they beat the tar out of Hoff and Spicy.  Davis and DJ both attack the Muscles sending both to the concrete floor.  Davis then picks up McGuire and catapults him towards the steel steps.  DJ, from the ring, jumps hitting a leg drop on McGuire just as he hit the steps.  BAM!  The fans are aghast!  DJ and Drew get back in the ring and allow the ref to make the count.  There is no way McGuire is getting up from that so once the ref hit 10, that was all she wrote.  The team of ‘Hoff and Spicy’ get the win in just under a minute and in dominating fashion.  The fans didn’t appreciate it so they once again voiced their displeasure.  Figgy returned to the ring, held up his team’s arms and they celebrated (showboated) briefly before doing everyone a favor and leaving.  (The post-match segment ran longer than the actual match).

We cut to a video showing that World Champion Texas Wildfire appearing on the tv show ‘GMA’.  The hosts interview him about his path to becoming the champion and he mentions that he will be writing a book detailing all this.  He says he’s just getting started (both with the book and his career) so there are a lot of pages still yet to be written.  The fans pop for him.

Figgy comes back out and this time he is with Taylor Bella.  Bella and Figgy talk as they head to the ring for the next match.  Next, Jazz Emmett comes out and she rushes the ring breaking up the chat.  Taylor and Figgy both bail.  Jazz paces as she waits for Taylor to re-enter the ring.  Taylor tried to do her own thing again and did not heed the advice of her manager and she got destroyed in the ring.  Figgy did manage to break up the count a few times which raised the ire of Jazz.   Jazz chased Figgy around the ring allowing Taylor to recover.  Figgy kept Jazz outside just long enough to allow Taylor to hit a sliding baseball dropkick that sent Jazz crashing into the ringside barrier.  The ref only needed a few seconds to reach the 10 count and awarded the match to Taylor via countout.  Out of breath, Figgy returned to the ring to have a brief chat with Taylor who nodded.  Figgy raised her arm in victory and they eventually left.  (17 ½ min)

El Gato Negro is backstage and she says she’s never been more ready in her entire life for something like this and this is her chance to prove it.  She promises tonight WILL be her night.

We head back to the ring for the next match.  Mr. Wrestling #5 comes out (haven’t seen him in a while) to a decent pop from the crowd.  Next, former World Champion Drew the Canadian Love Machine came out got the loudest pop of the night.  He looked to be in good shape and ready for his return to the ring.  Before the match could begin, the Super Shockmaster ran down and attacked Drew.  He pulled him to the outside where the two brawled before SS repeatedly rammed Drew’s back against the steel post.  He then threw Drew back into the ring and left.  The ref asked Drew if he wanted to continue and he said yes.  As soon as the bell rang, Mr. Wrestling #5 picked him up and locked him in a bearhug.  The pain must have been too great as Drew ended up passing out.  Mr. Wrestling #5 gets the (cheap) win via submission.  (60 sec)  Drew had to be helped to the back.

Ladies Champion Starr Vixen is backstage and she says that tonight’s title defense will be a real challenge but she is confident she’ll send the Black Cat scampering back to the shadows.

It is time for our MAIN EVENT!  GM Max McGillicutty comes out and says he wants to make this a 60 minute, best of 3 falls match.  We know shorter matches are not El Gato’s style so if she wants to win this title, she need to do so in a huge way.

The crowd pops as El Gato Negro makes her way out and down to the ring.  There is one male fan at ringside holding a sign that reads “You can do it”.   El Gato stops in front of the fan and smiles until he turns it around and it reads “Starr Vixen”.  The guy laughs as El Gato snarls at him and makes her way into the ring.  Next, the Ladies Champion Starr Vixen comes out also to a good pop from the crowd.  The two ladies stare at each other in the middle of the ring, shake hands and this one is off.  El Gato starts off like a wildfire and continued it throughout the match.  El Gato kept up the offensive until she hit Starr with the Gato Paw at the 19 minute mark to score the first fall.  The next fall however was almost all the Ladies Champion and El Gato struggled (we think she was exhausted after 19 min).  Things started heating up at 13 minutes which is where we join the match.

With that, the show comes to an end.  Stay tuned as there is sure to be repercussions from what transpired here today.
