HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2016 – #468 – Wrestlemania Day 2


Hello fans and welcome to Day 2 of Wrestlemania!  Today’s show is expected to blow the roof off this place.  Phoenix was very accommodating to all the performers as well as the fans.  Fans tweeted that performers were seen practically everywhere with the funniest one being owner Mr. Meyers having drinks with King CJ at the Tilted Kilt. 

Pyro goes off as Day Two is off to a running start.  GM Max McGillicutty comes out and once again thanks the fans for attending.  He says there were great matches at yesterday’s show so today’s performers have their work cut out for them.  He says the fans aren’t here to listen to him talk so he’s ready to kick off the show.

Our show starts with Drew, the Canadian Love Machine coming out to a pop from the crowd.  He makes it to the ring and does a little bit of showboating.  Music changes and next out comes the X-Division Champion Sami Zayn.  Drew starts off with an armdrag that caught the champ off guard.  The most interesting thing about this match is that no one went for a pin or submission until the final minute of the match.  Drew and Sami stunned the audience with all their acrobatics and power moves.  The fans really got into the match.  As the match drew to its conclusion, Sami nailed a Double Pumphandle Orange Crush on Drew.  He then tried to jump to the top turnbuckle but slipped and fell back on the mat.  Drew struggled to his feet and picked up Sami and hit him with a corkscrew pescado.  An exhausted CLM fell on top of Sami and the ref counted 1… 2…3.  Drew the Canadian Love Machine has just become the NEW X-DIVISION CHAMPION!!!!  The ref hands Drew the title and he climbs the turnbuckle and holds his title high as Sami Zayn makes it to his feet.  Drew climbs down and extends his hand to Sami who shakes it.  Fantastic match between two great performers.  (19 ½ min)

Max then says he’s making a change to one match.  He says that if the Beautiful People (represented by Angelina Love and Madison Rayne) don’t win their match tonight, then only the one who gets pinned is gone (originally was going to be the losing team). 

Being interviewed next by Clarkus Kentus is the Southern Belle.  Belle says tonight is make it or break it for her.  She has a beef with both Brie Bella and Cactus Jackie and says that if she can’t pull out a win, she needs to seriously consider her future.

We head back to the ring for our next match which has the Beautiful People taking on Maria and Jupiter Jane.   Angelina and Madison are accompanied to the ring by Velvet Sky who all try to complain about Max’s last minute stipulation.  Jane starts off with cinching in a headlock on Angelina who needs the ropes to get her to break the hold.  She complains that Jane was pulling her hair but the ref says he didn’t see anything.  Maria and Jupiter Jane doubleteamed Angelina while Madison kept screaming for the tag.  After keeping Angelina sequestered for another few minutes, Jane hits the Jupiter Landing and goes for the cover but only gets a 2 count.  Jane makes the tag to Maria.  Angelina hits Maria with a Mexican armdrag and then tags out to Madison.  After bouncing around the ring for a couple of minutes, Jane and Maria doubleteamed Madison.  Madison makes the hot tag to an unsuspecting Angelina.  Maria tags out to Jane.  Angelina questions what Madison was doing and Jane bounces off the ropes and nails a diving clothesline.  Jane makes the cover and hooks the leg.  The ref counted 1…2…3.  Maria and Jupiter Jane win this one in explosive fashion.  After the match, Jane asks the mic and announces that tonight was her final match with the CSWA and HWF.  She says that she’s loved her time her but for now, she needs to pursue other interests including school.  She gives Maria a hug and then goes to shake hands with the fans as she walks back up the ramp to the back…never to return??? (11 min)

In the back, Larry Morton is interviewing Rowdy Ronda Rousey.  Ronda says that tonight, not only will she beat the tar out of Stephanie, she’ll make her tap.

Clarkus is also backstage and he is with A-Team leader Alberto Del Rio w/ Antonio Cesaro and Adrian Neville.  Del Rio says he will put Aries out to pasture and Del Rio will rule the world.  He then walks off leaving his teammates behind.

Larry Morton is now interviewing Women’s Champion Paige.   Morton asks Paige why she and Raquel had a falling out and Paige says that Raquel only teamed with her because she coveted her title.  Raquel can’t handle not being a champion so she latched on to her like a parasite but she got wise early on and got rid of her.  She says that there is no way Raquel is leaving with her title tonight.

We go back to the ring for our next match which is actually a grudge match between current A-Team leader Alberto Del Rio and the former (and current leader of the X-Factor) Austin ‘the Man’ Aries.  It is apparent that these two despise each other and immediately go on the attack as soon as the bell rang.  Alberto tried to keep Aries grounded but despite his best efforts, Aries totally outwrestled Del Rio.  It only took Aries 2 minutes in to nail the Aries 450 but Alberto rolled right out of the ring.  Once Alberto got Aries to the mat, he locked in the cross armbreaker twice but instead of going for the submission win, he went for the pin but Aries kicked out both times.  Every time Alberto would try for a pin attempt, Aries would keep kicking out.  Starting to get desperate, Alberto told Neville to climb up on the apron.  With the ref distracted, Alberto hit a serious low blow.  He then set Aries up against the ropes and delivered a running SI superkick.  Alberto pulled him down and made the cover and the ref counted to 3.  Alberto Del Rio wins the match in 18 minutes.  Alberto gloated over Aries and then ordered Cesaro and Neville to get in the ring and pick Aries up.  They did and as Alberto was set to deliver another superkick, Cesaro and Neville dropped Aries and attacked Del Rio.  They beat him down and Antonio hit Del Rio with the Cradle Facebuster.  Neville then got a chair and as Cesaro held Alberto, he blasted their (assuming now former) leader in the head with it busting him open.  Aries then seemed to have regained his composure and motioned them to put the chair under Del Rio.  Aries went to the top rope and nailed a 450 splash on Del Rio on the chair.  Cesaro and Neville helped Aries from the ring and they celebrated while medics had to come out and take Alberto out on a stretcher.  (5 min for this extra segment)

Clarkus Kentus is backstage with the Olympic hero Kurt Angle.  Angle says that Orton has always had a bad attitude and really needs to teach him a lesson.  Clarkus asks if Kurt is the man to do it and Angle answers with “Yes, it’s TRUE; it’s DAMN TRUE.”

Larry Morton is also backstage and he is with Kurt’s opponent Randy Orton.  Orton refers to himself as the legend killer and tonight, the legend that is Kurt Angle will be put to rest once and for all.  Orton then says that after he defeats Angle, he wants, nay deserves a shot at Bray Wyatt and he will become the World Champion once again.

We go back to the ring for our next match which is a Triple Threat Match for the Diva’s Championship.  First, former champion Brie Bella makes her way to the ring.  She is then followed by Southern Belle who gets one of the biggest pops of the night.   Finally, the champion Cactus Jackie makes her way out.  Jackie stops on the stage and takes a mic.  She tells Brie and Belle that after she’s done kicking their asses, she wants them out of here for good and then only the one true champion will remain.  The bell rings and Jackie nails Belle with a mudhole face stomp.  Brie and Belle then team up and double team the champ.  Jackie rolls out of the ring to avoid any more interaction and then Brie turns on Belle and those two go at it.   Jackie decides to join back in and tries for some lightning chops but Belle reverses it and hurls Jackie back out of the ring.  This back and forth action goes on for 17 min before Belle catches Brie with a flying body press but as she goes for the pin, Jackie breaks it up.  The 3 of them fight on for another 12 minutes before Jackie grabs a chair and nails both Brie and Belle with it injuring them.  Jackie tries to take advantage of it and locks Belle in the Desert Stretch but Belle refuses to tap and eventually makes it to the ropes.  Belle and Brie recover and now all 3 of them are in the ring.  Belle nails Jackie with a dropkick with cowboy boots but Jackie sends her flying over the top rope.  Brie hits a sunset flip on Jackie but she’s too close to the ropes to try for a pin.  After a few more minutes of action, Brie hits Belle with a sitout facebuster but she kicks out.  More action takes place and finally Jackie and Belle team up but after Jackie offered friendship, Belle kicked her in the gut.  Jackie then fell out of the ring.  Belle reversed an attempted move and hits a victory roll.  She has Brie rolled up and the ref counts 1…2…3.  Southern Belle has just won the match and is the NEW DIVA’S CHAMPION!!!  Brie leaves as Jackie tries to complain that she didn’t get pinned but the ref stands there with Belle’s arm raised holding the championship.  Jackie storms off as Belle celebrates with the fans before departing.  (39 ½ min)

Stephanie McMahon is complaining to Clarkus Kentus about her father not being allowed at ringside.  She says she doesn’t need him and she’ll teach the Rowdy One a thing or two before totally humiliating her by getting her to tap out to her own specialty move – the armbar.

We go back to the ring for another grudge match.  First, the Viper, the Legend Killer Randy Orton comes out and is booed incessantly.  Kurt’s music hits and the fans pop as he makes his way down to the ring.  Max makes his way out and says that this match will have a special stipulation and starts sending wrestlers down to the ring.  Max says that this will be a lumberjack match.  Orton immediately goes for a flying dropkick but that is reversed and with the help of Adam Rose, Kurt hits a Sawmill Smash.  Orton is on the defensive.  It is short lived as Zack Ryder yells “TIMBER” and they pull both men out of the ring.  As Orton was being dragged out, he “accidentally” hit the ref and he went down.  Both men make it back in but Kurt goes to hurl Randy into the waiting arms of the lumberjacks but it’s reversed and drops Kurt with rapid punches.  Orton then drops Kurt with a flying dropkick.  Kurt gets frustrated and chokes Randy in the corner but gets dropkicked again.  Kurt nails a belly to belly suplex and Randy chokes him in the corner.  Randy executes a rollup holding on to the tights but Kurt kicks out of it.  The ref is back up.  Kurt gets Uhaa Nation to help with a log splitting legdrop.   Orton stops the momentum with a poke to the eye.  Kurt nails a Belly to belly suplex and Randy nails the RKO but he’s not able to make a pin attempt as a lumberjack his holding his leg.  Randy tries to throw Kurt out of the ring but he stops himself.  Lumberjacks would keep getting involved throughout the rest of the match.  At one point, Kurt nails an Angle slam but the Miz pulls him out and eats a huge right for interfering.  Kurt gets the Varsity Club back together when he, Jack Swagger and Bo Dallas triple teamed Orton.  Randy somehow throws Kurt out and he is attacked by Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose and Mark Henry.  Angle is thrown back in.  Orton goes for a quick pin but Angle kicks right out.   Kurt goes for a belly to Belly Suplex but Orton nails a rollup pulling on the tights (and this time he grabs the rope for leverage).  The ref counted 1…2…3.  Randy Orton wins this one with help from his friends on the outside.  Randy climbs the turnbuckles and gloats to the fans.  Angle, pissed off, pulls Randy down and nails an Angle Slam.  He then locks Randy in the Angle Lock and Orton is tapping out but Angle won’t let up.  Finally, the lumberjacks got involved and got Kurt off.  Kurt got a measure of satisfaction while Randy had to be helped out of the ring.  (16 min)

Larry Morton is backstage with Ravishing Raquel.  Raquel said they had a good thing going until Paige thought she was better than the team.  Raquel says she was the first Diva’s champion and the first undisputed Women’s champ holding both belts.  Tonight, she’ll show Paige just how good she is and will walk out with gold once again.

It’s time for our co-main event.  First, the Billon Dollar Princess Stephanie McMahon makes her way out and the booing is deafening.  She yells back at the fans to shut up and that only incites them all the more.  Ronda’s music hits and she makes her way to the ring sporting MMA gear.  Stephanie immediately bolts out of the ring.  She tries to complain that Ronda probably has loaded gloves but the ref assures her she doesn’t.  Stephanie demands an “Arizona Death Match rules stipulation to which Ronda immediately accepted.  Stephanie eventually gets back in the ring.  The bell finally rings.

Stephanie immediately heads off to the back while Ronda celebrates in the ring for a few minutes before leaving.  Ronda then made her way backstage and received many congratulations on her win. Stephanie tried to sneak attack Ronda but she was expecting it and chased Stephanie from the building.  Just before Steph’s limo could pull away, Ronda hurled a sledgehammer at the limo taking out the entire back window.  The limo sped away and Ronda looked satisfied.

It’s now time for our second main event of the evening with the Women’s title on the line.  First, the challenger Ravishing Raquel makes her way to the ring and is cheered.  She is then followed out by the Women’s Champion Paige.  The two stand nose to nose in the ring and once the bell rang, these two were all business.  This one went considerably longer than our last match.  Raquel locked in the Ravishing Armbar and hit the Simply Ravishing all before Paige got in one offensive move.  Paige hurled her out of the ring to regain her composure.  Raquel got back in the ring and for the next 10 minutes, showed why she was the more dominating between the two.  Quite a few times Paige tried to leave but Raquel brought her back in.  Reid Rothchild made his way down the last time Paige tried to leave and he blocked her way forcing her back into the ring.  Raquel locks in the Ravishing Armbar and turned it into a pin but Paige kicked out.  Raquel hit a power full nelson and another Ravishing Armbar going for the pin both times only to have Paige keep kicking out.  Paige finally mounted an offense and hit the Knight Rider but as she started to climb the turnbuckle, Reid inadvertently tripped her and she fell to the floor.  She got up but (you could tell she was faking it) said she was hurt and couldn’t continue.  She stayed outside just long enough for the ref to count to 10.  Paige is counted out and Ravishing Raquel is given the win but she does NOT win the title on a count out.  After Paige “recovered” and laughed and skipped and danced her way to the back.  Raquel was not happy but the fans applauded her for the awesome match.

HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2016 – #467 – Wrestlemania Day 1


Hello fans and Welcome to WRESTLEMANIA!  Phoenix, Arizona is our host for our 3 day extravaganza and the fans here are off the wall.  This place is sold out!  There is still such a high demand for the show that scalpers are asking (and getting) 4x the face value of the tickets.  Unbelievable.   The camera pans around and we see owners Mr. Bychowski and Mr. Meyers up in a box.  Surprisingly, next to their box is Vince McMahon and he is accompanied by Stephanie McMahon who will be taking on MMA great Rowdy Ronda Rousey tomorrow night.  Right now, “Daddy’s little princess” seems to be enjoying herself (looks like they stocked up on snacks and booze). 

Pyro goes off as GM Max McGillicutty makes his way to the stage.  “Welcome to WRRRRRRESTLEMANIA!”  The fans pop huge. “Thank you Arizona for making FanFest such a success and with each and every one here and those attending over the next two days, we will make Wrestlemania the largest success in the history of the HWF and CSWA.   We have 21, yes 21 matches over these three days and I’m sure no one will leave here disappointed.  So, without further ado, it’s time to get this party started!  But first, a word from one of tonight’s sponsors.”

M’n’M’s brand is one of the sponsors tonight and tonight, they are giving away free samples of one of their new flavors -   Chili M’n’M’s.  The Ragin Cajun Rad Gumbo appears and says that tonight’s treat is just like him…Spicy!”

The show begins with a small tribute to former superstars Balls Mahoney from ECW fame and the 9th Wonder of the World, Chyna, both of whom recently passed away. 

Pyro goes off as wrestlers make their way to the ring for our first match – the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.  Rad Gumbo comes out and he is booed like no other and he just eats it up (and pops a few MnM’s for good measure).   New Day members Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods also snuck out (they weren’t supposed to be in this).  Just before the match could begin, the ref comments that one person is missing.  Suddenly, over the loudspeaker blares “You’ve waited a lifetime to see him once again.  I present to you… the SHOCKMASTER!”  The Shockmaster makes his way out complete with his glitter covered Stormtrooper helmet.  This time he doesn’t trip on his way to the ring (surprising because if you remember, Luke Skywalker said ‘I can’t see a thing in this helmet”).  Big Show steps forward and says “I’ve got this” and half the members in the ring go through the middle rope (as to not DQ themselves) to let these two go at it.   Big Show immediately goes for a chokeslam but the Shockmaster instead dumps Show out of the ring. UNBELIEVABLE.  Everyone then jumped back in and we had ourselves an old fashioned slobber knocker.  One by one, they went sailing over the top rope until the remainder was considerably thinned out.  The Shockmaster made it quite a ways through only to be eliminated by Uhaa Nation.  Finally, we came down to our final four – Jay Lethal, Seth Rollins, Damian Sandow and R-Truth.

Jay "Black Machismo" Lethal wins the Battle Royal!!!  He is presented with the trophy (which by the way is bigger than him) but his celebration is cut short when the Shockmaster makes his way back out and attacks Lethal beating him down.  The Shockmaster then did something shocking…he picked up the trophy and smashed it on Lethal destroying it.  (I can hear it now “GOOD GOD, THAT MAN HAS A FAMILY)  The Shockmaster stands over Lethal and kicks parts of the trophy from the ring.  I’m sure he’ll get fined for that.

We cut to the back where roving reporter Clarkus Kentus is interviewing Shane McMahon.  Shane O’Mac says that he’s been hardcore before hardcore was trendy.  Shane says that El Chango and the Stache will both leave tonight empty handed and Shane will stand tall as the new Hardcore Champion.

We go back to the ring for our second match.  The Miz comes out first and is booed.  The Phenomenal AJ Styles comes out next and gets a huge pop.  As Styles entered the ring, the Miz bolted.  AJ posed for the crowd before Miz finally re-entered the ring.  The bell rang just as Miz was jawjacking with a fan.  He turned right around and into the Styles Clash.  AJ goes for the pin but only gets 2.  Miz hits a basement dropkick and a legsweep facebuster.  AJ hits a clothesline and both go over the top rope.  AJ takes the Miz to the ramp and nails another Styles Clash.  AJ slides back in the ring just before the ref counted to 10.  He reached it and Miz didn’t make it so he ends up getting counted out.  AJ Styles gets the win (3 ½ min).  Miz recovers and is pissed off as he moves grumpily to the back.  AJ then left.

In the back, reporter Larry Morton says that North American Champion Kevin Owens has his hands full with Canada’s own The Savior.  Owens calls the Savior a chump and he’ll send him back to whatever gutter he crawled out of.”  Owens then walked off.

Our next match is nothing short of an old fashioned Street Fight but this one has consequences.  The loser of this match is out of the HWF and CSWA.  Former members of “the Band” Dirk ‘the Pick’ Devon takes on the Axe.  Dirk comes out first accompanied by Diva’s Champion Cactus Jackie.  Both are booed heavily but neither seem to care.  The Axe comes out and receives a pop (mostly from those hoping to see him beat the crap out of Dirk.  Right off the bat, Dirk hits the Bass Body Avalanche but Axe sends him to the outside.  He follows and Dirk nails another Bass Body Avalanche but Axe drops him with the Axe.  Both men fought hard on the outside of the ring (all sides)  and then Axe hit Dirk with a backdrop onto the bleachers.  Dirk looked hurt but he kept on going.  He battled back and dropped Axe with the Fender Five Arm.  Both men make it back into the ring and Dirk nails another Five Arm.  He goes for the pin but Axe kicks out.  Dirk goes for the Coda Claw hold but Axe throws beer in his face blinding him.  Axe tried for a headlock but Dirk slipped right out of it but got hit by a backbreaker.  Axe makes the cover and the ref counted 1…2…3.  The Axe wins the match and Dirk Devon is now out of a job.  Cactus Jackie helped her man to the back while Axe celebrates.  (14 ½ min)

Clarkus Kentus is with the Savior and asks for his thoughts about what Kevin Owens said.  The Savior says that Owens is just confused and doesn’t know what he’s talking about.  He says he’s there to “save” Kevin from his demons (which he refers to as the North American title).

Elsewhere in the back, a defeated Dirk Devon and a pissed off Cactus Jackie approach GM Max.  Jackie complains that Axe used illegal tactics (it was “anything goes” rules).  Max tells Cactus Jackie that the only way Dirk can keep his job is for her to retain the Diva’s title.  No problem she says and she and Dirk leave.

Our fourth match of the night is underway.  Organ music plays as the Savior makes his way down to the ring.  The fans just aren’t sure how to take this guy so some cheer and some quietly boo.  The North American Champ Kevin Owens comes out next.  He gets in the ring and asks for a mic.  He says he wants this to be a “Concession Stand Brawl” match.  The Savior agrees and the bell rings immediately.  The Savior immediately hits a powerbomb and goes for the quick pin but Kevin is up at one.  He rolls out of the ring and grabs a fan’s beer and throws it into the Savior’s face blinding him.   Kevin chokes him on the ropes and nails a pop up powerbomb. He goes for the pin but Savior kicks out at 2.  The two then began fighting through the crowd and right into the concession stand area.  Owens connected with a fireman’s carry gutbuster and tried for a pin but to no avail.  The Savior then got up and as Kevin charged him going for a headscissors, Savior turns it into a powerbomb putting him through one of the concession stands.  The ref makes his way over and as the Savior makes the cover, the ref slapped the ground 3 times and awarded the match to the NEW NORTH AMERICAN CHAMPION The Savior.  The fans gathered around him as the Savior stood proud holding his new title high.  (9 min)

Triple Crown Champion Bray Wyatt is with Hardcore champ El Chango.  El Chango tells Bray that he knew he could do it…he could defeat the Stache to represent the Wyatt family like no other.  Bray tells him that he should not underestimate the Stache; just like he is not underestimating King CJ.  Bray then looks at the camera and begins.

"I never sleep but I'm always dreaming. Lately, I've been dreaming of you, CJ. You and I will be sharing this war in Phoenix, but off in the distance there is a woman's voice. It's very faint, I can't make out what it says, but as we fight, and as we come closer to her, I can hear her. She's telling me that she loves me. She's telling me how proud she is of me. Just like that, I wake up, and I still see you, CJ. But now I see you for what you've become. You're in a chair, sitting there a withered old man, lonely and filled with regrets. Larry Morton is backstage with King CJ.  CJ says that tonight, he fulfills another dream.  First he held the Hardcore title and then became King.  He says that winning the World title tonight will be the final jewel in his crown.

We head back to the ring for our next match which is a triple threat match for the Hardcore title.  First, out comes the former champion, the Stache.  He gets a pop from the crowd.  Next, Shane Mc Mahon comes out and gets a huge pop.   Finally, the champ, El Chango makes his way out.  We are told this will be ECW Hardcore Rules.  Just as the bell ring, Shane grabs a chair blasting both the Stache and El Chango with it injuring them.   He then proceeded to beat down on both men simultaneously.  After 3 minutes of this, Leon Teremoto walks down carrying a chain.  El Chango and the Stache have recovered.  Leon throws the chain towards El Chango but the Stache intercepts it and blasts Shane with it sending him out of the ring.  This puts the current champ vs the former champ.  The two trade blows and moves until Shane rejoins the fray.  They all beat the crap out of each other for another solid 12 min.   We pick things back up at the 17 min mark.

HOLY COW.  The Stache has regained the HARDCORE title in a match that says it all.   After the match, The Stache shook hands with Shane McMahon.  He also extended his hand to El Chango who slapped it away and walked off.  The Stache celebrated with the fans before heading to the back.  (21 min)

We cut to the back where Tyson Kidd sees Rad Gumbo backstage talking to/flirting with some Divas and walks over and makes fun of his accent.  Tyson then comments that he’s got a title shot and Rad’s come up “a little short”.  Gumbo then beats him down and ends up smacking him with a serving tray.  “Dat’s how you get stuff done in the bayou.”  GM Max McGillicutty comes over and complains that Rad just ruined the IC title match.  “You know what, you’re wresting in his place tonight.  Go get ready.”  Max walks off and Gumbo says “Rad.”

Clarkus Kentus is with Vince McMahon, his daughter Stephanie McMahon, Dixie Carter (TNA) and Carey Silkin (Ring of Honor ambassador) (aka the Board) up in their suite and Stephanie steps forward and tells Clarkus that the owners and Max best have an answer for them or it will get real, really fast.

We go back to the ring for our Intercontinental Title match.  The Ragin Cajun Rad Gumbo comes out first and is booed heavily.  Once again, he soaks it in.  IC Champ Magnum Kone comes out next to a huge pop with Haagen and Daas who give out free ice cream to the fans.  We know who the fans want to win this one and it sure isn’t our Bayou Buddy. Rad charges at Magnum and then gets hurled over the top rope.  He stews on the outside before climbing back in at the 8 count.  The Cottommouth Clutch from Rad is met with the push pop (legsweep) from Kone. More back and forth action between the two takes place until Rad locks Kone in the New Orleans Crab.  Kone fights through it and makes it to the ropes to break the hold.  Kone fights off the pain and after trading blows, he nails the Popsicle (piledriver).  He makes the cover but Rad kicks out at 2.  Kone locks in a headlock and tries for the pin again but Rad kicks out.  Rad fights back and hits two consecutive Gator Rolls but is unable to capitalize on it.  Kone nails a slam and tries for the pin but Rad again makes it to the ropes.  Kone goes for the drumstick (armbar) but Rad reverses it and sends Kone to the outside.  He follows him out and then smashes his back against the steel post.  He throws Kone back in and then locks in the New Orleans Crab again.  Kone, in tremendous pain, taps out.  Rad Gumbo has won the match and has become the NEW INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION.   Kone’s accompaniment of Haagen and Daas help the former champ from the ring while Rad celebrates amongst the booing from the crowd.  He eventually takes his title and leaves.  (18 ½ min)

Larry Morton immediately greets the new IC champion has he makes his way through the curtain.  Morton says that Gumbo must be the luckiest man on the planet right now. Gumbo says that luck only got him noticed by the CSWA and HWF.  It was pure skill that he stands before you now as the new IC champion.  Rad pushes Morton out of his way and leaves.  The camera follows Rad as he’s leaving and he enters a limo packed with people going to hang out with the new champ.

It’s time for tonight’s main event.  Royalty music blares through the speakers as King CJ, sitting in his throne, is carried to the ring on the shoulders of men.  CJ waves to the fans as they cheer for him.  He is set down and he then walks to the ring and as he enters, he saunters around the ring soaking in the cheers from the fans.  Music changes abruptly as the Triple Crown Champion Bray Wyatt makes his way out to defend the HWF World title.   This is Last Man Standing rules. Bray starts off with a scoop powerslam.  CJ nails a dropkick and Bray busts him open with a roll of quarters.  CJ goes down but is back on his feet by 8.  CJ hurls Bray out of the ring and he takes his time re-entering.  Bray nails a lifting side slam and CJ locks in a guillotine choke.  Bray barely makes it to the ropes to break the hold.  Bray is starting to look worried.   Desperado members El Chango and Leon Teremoto walk down to ringside.  CJ goes for a handstand headlock but it is reversed by Bray who whacks CJ with a steel chair handed to him by Leon.  CJ makes it to his feet by the 7 count. CJ battles back hitting an inverted bodyslam and flying dropkicks.  CJ starts to take the match to Bray. Leon distracts the ref as El Chango removes the cover of the turnbuckle exposing the metal brackets.  Bray then smashes CJ into the exposed turnbuckle and CJ collapses.  It looks like CJ is out but he miraculously makes it to his feet.  He motions to Bray to bring more.  He catches Bray with flying dropkicks.  Bray reverses a guillotine choke and catapults CJ into the steel post.  CJ is down.  The ref counts 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9…10.  King CJ is counted out and the match is awarded to the man who is STILL the HWF World Champion Bray Wyatt.   (15 min)  CJ has nothing to be ashamed of in this match as he went toe to toe with the Triple Crown champ.  An exhausted Bray steps aside as the Desperados jump in the ring and beat down on CJ.  The Hardcore champion the Stache runs down.  He congratulates Bray but then attacks Leon and El Chango.  Bray tries to get involved but Stache sends him to the outside.  CJ recovers to see who came to his aid.  He makes it to his feet and the two stare down at each other.   The Stache extends his hand in thanks and King CJ looks to the fans first and as they pop for them both, CJ shakes it.  The Stache raises his arm and then leaves the ring so CJ can interact with the fans.

HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2016 – #466 plus Fanfest



Hello fans and welcome to Wrestlemania Fanfest.  We are coming to you live from Mesa, Arizona.  All of the superstars are here and this place is packed to the rafters.  If wrestlers are not signing autographs, they are hosting Q&A or mingling with the fans. 

Walking throughout the venue, we see Big Show taking pictures with fans standing next to a life size cardboard cutout of Andre the Giant and even this giant is dwarfed by Andre.   That man was one in a million. 

In one Q&A, Prestige Inc. (Damian Sandow, Reid Rothchild and Ravishing Raquel) are talking about the evolution of Prestige Inc. ever since they began.  Reid spoke about his first feud with owner Mr. Bychowski over (of all things) a parking spot.  How this team has grown. 

We walk by the Autograph room and see Buzz and Starbuck Steel with one of the longest lines for autographs.  Dang.

We think that there wasn’t one single fan who didn’t get what they came for.  Max and the Owners saw to that. 

There was a disturbance when Stephanie McMahon tried to enter and she was denied access.  Ronda Rousey walked by and waved at her.  Stephanie was irate and stormed off.

One of the most interesting panels had Hardcore Champion El Chango, the Stache and Shane McMahon at it.  Surprisingly, no punches were thrown but there was a lot of tension in the room between Desperado teammates.  Shane pointed out how he was going to defeat both of his challengers by showing all the crazy stuff he’d done in the past (jumping off Titantrons, off the top of cages, delivering flying elbows to someone with a trash can laying on them).  Lots of “OHHHHHHHH” were elicited by the crowd and Shane ate it up. 

After all of the autograph sessions were done and the last Q&A ended, Max invited everyone to come down to the adjoining arena to watch 3 matches that are exclusive to the crowd here tonight. 

Once everyone had filed in and taken their seat, Max stood in the ring and told the crowd that tonight’s 3 matches are for them in appreciation for attending the Fanfest. Max stepped aside so the matches could begin.

The first match started with Prestige Inc. member Damian Sandow taking on Alexander Rusev.  Rusev is no stranger to Prestige Inc. as he had a pretty long feud with Reid Rothchild.  Reid and Ravishing Raquel accompanied Sandow down to the ring.  Rusev taunted Reid and called Sandow spineless.  Rusev said he wanted this match to be a Russian Chain.  Sandow agreed.  Rusev immediately blasted Sandow with the chain busting him open.  He dragged Sandow around the ring tapping 3 corners before Sandow was able to stop him.  Rusev even took a cheap shot at Reid nearly taking his head off with a chain snap.   Rusev made multiple attempts to make it to all 4 corners but Damian kept stopping him.  Sandow smashed Rusev in the face with the chain busting him open and tried to make it to the corners but was stopped.  Sandow battled back and started to get serious momentum going.  Rusev, sensing things were not going his way, wrapped the chain around Damian’s neck choking him out.  Just before Sandow could pass out, Rusev made his way around the corners.  He tapped 1…tapped a 2nd…tapped the 3rd and just as Damian tried to hold him back, Rusev let go of the extra slack of chain he had and he tapped the 4th corner.  Alexander Rusev gets the win for this match.  The ref freed Rusev first and he attacked Sandow again.  Reid jumped in and hurled the Bulgarian Bully from the ring. Rusev cursed as he walked back up the ramp and Sandow, Reid and Raquel shook hands with the fans before leaving.  (22 min)

Max McGillicutty comes out and says that those two put on a hellacious match and this next one promises to be no different.  Max says that to keep things going, The Fiend and Sonic Blade will have a no-holds barred match and they will be allotted as much time as they need.  The Fiend came out first and was followed by Sonic Blade.  These two really upped their game and the fans stayed glued to their seats for the entire match.  Sonic Blade said he had a lot to prove to the Fiend and he sure did that.  The Fiend kept panicking during the match but he couldn’t leave as this was a no DQ match.  After 23 minutes, the Fiend decided he’d had enough and stopped Sonic’s onslaught with 3 hits from Hell (rapid punches).  A stunned Sonic stumbled and the Fiend grabbed a cookie sheet and bashed Sonic with it drawing more blood.  He went for the quick pin trying to hook the tights but Sonic kicked out.  The Fiend hit Sonic with the Project 1950 (headbutt smash) and tried for the quick pin but Sonic made it to the ropes.  The Fiend pulled him back into the center of the ring and locked in the Devil lock (Figure Four).  By this time, Blade has lost a lot of blood and had practically no energy left.  Sonic laid down to try to catch his breath but his shoulders remained down a fraction too long…that fraction allowed for the 3 count to be made and the match is awarded to the Fiend.   Both men got standing ovation and both had to be helped from the ring. (27 min)

Max comes out again and says that Fiend and Sonic Blade almost brought the house down.  He says that Cena/Henry can finish what the others started and that would be to bring this one to an explosive conclusion. As Mark Henry makes his way out, Max stops him and says that he doesn’t want a DQ finish so he needs to wait on the stage while the STEEL CAGE is assembled.  A few moments later, the cage is finished and Henry power walks down to the ring.  He enters the cage and climbs the wall taunting Cena.  John Cena comes out to an explosive reaction from the fans.  Those saying that he sucked was drowned out by the overwhelming majority who wanted to see Cena kick Mark Henry’s ass.  Cena entered the cage and Henry immediately attacked him.  Both men were bloodied up within minutes and that only turned up the action.  The fans fueled the fire that was these two beating the crap out of each other.  At one point. Henry climbed to the top (ok, almost the top) and hit a splash onto Cena.  It took Henry a few moments to recover from that and as he crawled over to make the cover, he just got an arm draped on John.   The ref counted 1…2… Cena Kicks Out!   Henry couldn’t believe it.  A masked man ran down to ringside (looks like Ryback to me) and threw a chair into the ring to Mark.   Henry went to nail the World’s Strongest Slam onto that chair but Cena reversed it and hit a drop toe hold that brought Henry crashing to the ring and his head smashing into the chair.  John went for the cover but Mark powered out.  John couldn’t believe it.  John bounced off the ropes and Henry caught him in a bearhug.  John would not submit and smacked Mark’s ears to get him to let him go.  John then hits the F-U out of nowhere on Mark.  John then climbed the cage and did the “You can’t see me” and hit the fist drop from the top of the cage.  John went for the pin again but Mark barely kicked out at two.  By now the fans are screaming for John to finish Henry off.   John hits the F-U on Mark on the steel chair.  He makes the cover and gets the 1-2-3.  Now, he has to escape the cage.  He gets to the top and gets one leg over the wall when Henry stops him.  John kicks him off, climbs to the top again and nails a B52 kneedrop from the top of the cage.  HOLY SHIT chants ring out.  John crawls to the cage door, gets it open and falls out.  John Cena wins this one in true EXTREME fashion.  I don’t think one person booed him after this performance.  The ref checked in on Mark while John celebrated with the fans.  (30 minutes).


Max comes out one last time and thanks everyone for attending and invites them all back for Wrestlemania this coming weekend.  Stay tuned as the Biggest PPV of the year is finally here.

HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2016 – #465


Hello fans.  Well, Fanfest will actually be taking place this coming Sunday with Wrestlemania following on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  We find out that tickets are completely sold out but you can catch the show live on PPV. 

The show begins back in GM Max McGillicutty’s office where he is sitting with owners Mr. Bychowski and Mr. Meyers.  Max receives a phone call from WWE’s Vince McMahon.  Max puts Vince on speakerphone.  Vince starts off by berating Max for letting Ronda Rousey “scare” his daughter and says he is thinking about suing but then relents and tells Max that he’s giving him and the owners one last chance and if they don’t accept the new contract, things will not be good and it will be all his fault.  Vince finishes the call with “The Board has spoken” (similar to what the wizard said in the original Wizard of Oz) and hangs up.  Max and the owners agree they will not cater to the demands of the board.  Mr. Meyers asks “Really, what’s the worst they’re going to do?” 

Phat Sol and Red Hot Lucas Johnston are in the back discussing their match.  A stagehand walks by and asks Phat about the attack by the masked cameraman.  Phat says he has no idea why the cameraman attacked him other than he’s a brainwashed pawn of Dr. Red Fang.  Max walks by and tells them they are in tag team action tonight and need to get ready.

We head to the ring for our first match.  “Black Machismo” Jay Lethal comes out to the ring first.  He is then followed by Alexander Rusev.  The Bulgarian Bully dominated Lethal for the entire match barely letting him get in any offense.  The end came after Rusev finished him with a swinging side slam at the 16 minute mark.  Rusev then got on the mic and demanded to know why he was not on the Wrestlemania card.  He demanded a match and said there will be hell to pay if he is not on the card.  He then walked off.

Prestige Inc. member Damian Sandow runs into GM Max again but before Sandow can begin to question him about what is happening backstage, Max tells him that he is adding two more matches to the FanFest and he wants Damian there to take on the challenge from Alexander Rusev. Sandow agrees.

John Cena makes his way to the ring to a mixture of cheers and booing. He understands the fans reaction to him and says that yes, sometimes he does “suck” but other times, he is a champion and someone fans can be proud to stand behind. He is interrupted by Mark Henry who tells him that he “sucks” all the time.  Cena tells Henry that if he wants some to come get some.  Henry heads to the ring for what I think is our next match.

Cena barely had control of the match and Henry stayed with him toe to toe for almost the entire match.  Cena just did the “You Can’t See Me” but Henry got right up and HURLED Cena over the top rope and he crashed on the floor.  He followed him out and then nailed a “World’s Strongest Slam” on the floor. Henry rolled back in but John didn’t make it before the 10 count.  Mark Henry gets the win via countout. (13 ½ min)  He goes back out of the ring and Cena runs at him hitting a football tackle sending Henry off his feet.  John throws Mark back in the ring and nails the F-U.  He then brushes off his shoulders and drops a fist to Mark’s head.  Suits from the back rush out to break this one up.  Max comes out and says that FanFest has just found its third match and that will be John Cena vs Mark Henry.

King CJ appears on the Omegatron.  He promises to make Wrestlemania the most memorable event ever by becoming the first Royal World Champion and then the Undisputed Champion.

We go back to the ring for more action.  The Forgotten w/ the Undertaker come out first. Their challengers tonight are ECIII, Rockstar Spud & Robbie E.  Undertaker “unleashes” the Forgotten on their opponents.  For the first 20 minutes, the team of ECIII, Spud and Robbie E actually dominated the Forgotten.  At that point, Undertaker jumped on the apron and motioned for his team to “go” and then the Forgotten beat the holy hell out of their opponents.  Undertaker then dragged his thumb across his neck and Braun Stroman then hurled Spud into the corner and squashed him with a running splash.  Rowan and Harper took out ECIII and Robbie E and Stroman made the easy cover for the 1-2-3.  The Forgotten and the Undertaker all stand in the ring victorious.  (27 min)

Samoa Joe is in the interview area and he says that he welcomes the challenge from Chris Jericho but there is no way on God’s Green Earth that Jericho will get him to tap out.  If anything, Chris will be the one to become just another victim to fall prey to the Samoan Submission Machine.  Joe looked intense during the whole interview.  Commotion ensues after Chris Jericho ran over and attacked Samoa Joe and beat him down.  He then locked him in the Walls of Jericho and Joe was screaming in pain but wouldn’t tap.  The refs ran over and pulled Chris off of Joe.  Max stormed over and had Jericho ejected from the building and had medics check on Joe.  Joe was a bit embarrassed and VERY PISSED OFF.

The Rajin Cajun Rad Gumbo comes out wearing a Gumbo 7:30 shirt and says that he will single handedly win the Andre the Giant Memorial battle royal and then will invite all the women to his hotel to discover “the Gumbo Way”.  The fans get all pissed and boo him.  He soaks it in like sunshine.  He smiles and when he turns to leave, he sees a fan holding a Gumbo 7:30 sign. Rad walks over and acknowledges it before violently yanking it from the fan and tearing it up and throwing it at him.  Gumbo says he’s the only one who can use the 7:30 slogan.  Adam Rose comes out and tells Gumbo that Cajun don’t use the word “dinna”, it should be “suppa” and the slogan is “7:30 says it’s suppa time bitch”.  He gets the fans to laugh but Rad doesn’t and attacks Adam prompting a match.

Adam Rose, right out of the gate beat down on Gumbo.  One would almost think to feel sympathy for Rad but…nah.  However, Rose burned himself out too fast and Gumbo ended up schooling the youngster. This went on for 20 min and the longer it went, the more pumped Rad seemed to get. Finally, after calling for the “Onion Twist” (Muta Lock), Rad locks it in and in his exhausted state, Rose had no choice but to tap out.  Rad Gumbo wins another one.  (20 min)

The Axe cuts a promo and says that at Wrestlemania, he will be done with Dirk Devon once and for all.  He promises to send Dirk packing and when Cactus Jackie loses the Diva’s title, she too can follow her husband to “Who-Cares-Where”.

It is time for our main event.  This one begins with Shield member Seth Rollins making his way out.  Music changes and the Olympic Hero Kurt Angle comes out.  The referee informs us that this will be a no time limit match.  This was a very close match for about 14 minutes but after catching Rollins in the dreaded Angle Lock, Rollins had to claw his way to the ropes to break the painful hold.  The damage was done and 3 short minutes later, Angle hit the Angle Slam and made the cover to get the 1-2-3.  Kurt Angle is victorious. He climbs the turnbuckle to celebrate.  All of a sudden, Randy Orton runs out and pulling him from the turnbuckle, nails an RKO (outta nowhere).  Orton stands smirking with his arms outstretched soaking in the booing from the fans as the show comes to an end.

HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2016 – #464


Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.   Wrestlemania continues to get closer and closer and things are really heating up in the HWF and CSWA.  We have a lot to cover so let’s jump right into it.

GM Max McGillicutty comes out and thanks the fans for attending.  He lets us know that Wrestlemania in Phoenix, AZ is almost completely sold out.  He said few tickets remain and those who want to attend need to get to their local box office or order the tickets online ASAP.  He tells us that the Fanfest show has sold out.  As a bonus to those people attending, he has something special lined up and over the next 2 shows, he will pass those details along.

The show begins with Tyson Kidd making his way out to the ring.  He says that he singlehandedly defeated all the other losers and is rewarded by getting a shot at the “Ice Cream Champion” and at Wrestlemania, he will finally get the title and respect that comes with it.  He gets booed as he goes to sit at commentary.  The announcer then introduces competitors for this match which is for the Intercontinental Title.  Tyson Kidd stands up and is like “HEY, WHAT THE HELL” as Kazarian makes his way out first.  Tyson leaves commentary as he hollers at Kaz.  The champ Magnum Kone comes out and the fans pop for him.  He is flanked by Haagen and Daas and he gets in the ring as his backup delivers ice cream to the fans at ringside.  The match is set for a 20 minute time limit.  Before the bell could ring, Tyson Kidd ran in and smashed Magnum with a chair.  He ended up having to be restrained.  Tyson is escorted from ringside so the match could begin.  That chair shot must have hurt Magnum more then he let on as Kazarian beat the crap out of him however nothing he did could keep the champ down for the 3 count.  The bell finally sounds bringing this one to a draw.  Magnum retains his title…barely.  (20 min draw)

Clarkus Kentus is backstage and he says he has a special guest tonight and introduces…Chris Jericho.  The fans pop for Jericho until he insults them and then the cheers turn to boos.  Jericho says he’s spoken with GM Max McGillicutty and says that Wrestlemania is nothing without him so he’s signing on for one match…for now.  Jericho says that he says he’s been watching from home and one person stands out…Samoa Joe.  He says that he wants to showcase THIS (he waves his hands in front of himself) talent and what better way than to take on the so-called Samoan Submission Machine.  He says that Max has granted this match and he will show the world who the master of the submission is when Joe taps out to the Walls of Jericho.

We head back to the ring for our next match.  Kevin Owens vs Prince Devitt in a non-title match.  Owens was dominating Devitt until the lights flickered as the Savior came out on stage.  Owens, pissed off, turns to yell at him giving Devitt time to recover.  Kevin turns around and Prince hits him with a vertical drop DDT and hooks the let to get the 3 count.  Devitt wins this one in 8 minutes.  Prince leaves as the Savior makes his way to the ring.  The Savior stands over the prone Owens and holds his hands over Kevin and then says that this is what Kevin will be doing at Wrestlemania while the Savior stands tall with the North American title.  He eventually leaves and so does Kevin.

In the back, The Forgotten w/ the Undertaker issue a challenge to New Day for the 6 man titles.  Max walks by and says “Crap, I forgot another one.”  He looks at the Undertaker and says “Done” and walks off.  I guess this one is official.

Bobby Lashley makes his way to the ring and with mic in hand, says he totally got screwed in the fatal four way but he is not one to complain but act in the ring. He calls out Roman Reigns and challenges him for his spot.  Reigns says no however if Lashley agrees to a match against all members of the Shield and can beat them all, then he can have the shot.  However, if any member of the Shield gets the pin, Roman retains his spot.  Bobby agrees.  Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose join Roman and then head to the ring.  I guess that match is next.  Bobby successfully handles all 3 members of the Shield but as the well-oiled machine they are, they kept him from getting the 3 count.  Bobby hit all 3 members with the Dominator but saves were made each time.  This one ends up going to a 30 minute draw and since Bobby didn’t get the pin, Roman retains his spot at Wrestlemania. 

In the back, The Stache appears to be fine except for his bruised ego.  He says that he always knew El Chango was a great competitor but never thought he’d stoop this low just to win a title.  Regardless, at Wrestlemania, he is taking his title back and will show why he’s the chosen one to take the Hardcore title to all new heights (literally or figuratively???).

We’re back to the ring for more action.  This one has Ryback taking on Alberto Del Rio.  Austin Aries makes his way out wearing a referee shirt.  He says that he’s been appointed the special ref for this match.  He warns Del Rio to keep his hands off him or he has the authority to suspend him if he comes close to touching him.  Ryback manhandled Alberto for about 10 minutes but eventually the aristocrat battled back much to the dismay of Aries.  Ryback set Alberto up in the corner and then went to the other side and charged like hit was going to hit a spear but Alberto moved and Ryback smashed his shoulder against the steel post.  Del Rio then locked Ryback in the double cross armbreaker and Ryback tapped out however Aries wouldn’t call the match.  Ryback kept screaming and Aries kept trying to encourage him to power out of it.  Finally, after about 20 seconds of all this, he finally had the bell rung awarding the match to Alberto Del Rio via submission.   Alberto flaunts the win in Aries’ face and then leaves.  Aries leaves disgusted.  (17 min)

The Savior is backstage and cuts a promo saying at Wrestlemania, he will “save” Kevin Owens from himself and remove the burden that is the NA title.

We head back to the ring for our next title match.  Adrian Neville challenges Dr. Red Fang for the US title.  As expected, Fang was the more vicious of the two pulling out all stops (lying, cheating, etc) to secure a win.  This brought out his competitors at Wrestlemania Phat Sol and Red Hot Lucas Johnston.  Neville battled back and actually began to outwrestle Fang and he wasn’t prepared for that.  Phat Sol tried to be funny and tripped Fang but then pretended he did nothing wrong.  While he was distracted by Fang, Fang’s cameraman ran up from behind and blasted Phat with his camera.  Phat goes down.  By the time medics came out to help Phat, the bell was ringing bringing this one to a time limit draw (but it was bad:  Fang 107; Neville 216).  After the match, Fang tried to attack Lucas Johnston but Red Hot was completely aware and chased Fang off and chased him to the back.  Medics helped Phat to his feet and took him to the back.  (30 min time limit)

Heading to the back once again, the Miz is back there making waves.  He interrupts AJ Styles’ interview and says he’s confident he could defeat AJ anytime, anywhere.  AJ gets in his face and asks “What about right now?” but Miz counters with “How about Wrestlemania?”  AJ nods and the two stare at each other as the segment ends.

We are getting ready for the next match but then the Omegatron lights up:

“SONIC BLADE!!!!! You have made a grave mistake. Not in beating me, for I have to die to receive a Resurrection...but in cheating! In accepting!  You whined...you cried in the Devil Lock. Be prepared son. More then 20 Eyes saw you cheat, more than 20 Eyes saw you weep, and more then 20 Eyes will see when All Hell Breaks Loose as you enter the Violent World I have prepared for you. You will taste your Last Caress and everyone will behold the rise of The Static Age!”

*The Fiend head-butts the camera and it returns to static*

Sonic Blade is backstage and has just watched this and felt he had to respond.  “Fiend, you are a coward.  First you lose clean and then you attack me.  In the old days, my father always told me cheaters never prosper.  In my life as a pro wrestler, I have always taken that to heart no matter how difficult it has been.  I give my best all the time without cheating (hence my disassociation with the Wraith).  Many may call me a cheater but it’s only because they are trying to deflect from their own cheating ways.  You want another piece of me?  Fine.  Sign on the dotted line and I will teach you manners.”

Max like what he hears but with the Wrestlemania card full, he adds a match to the Fanfest:  Sonic Blade vs the Fiend.  Most likely there will be a stipulation of some sort.

It is time for the Main Event.  Triple Crown Champion Bray Wyatt is defending the HWF World title against Jack Swagger.  King CJ comes out first though and sits at ringside to scout the match.  This one will be ECW rules.  Bray begins by ramming Jack’s head into the ringside barrier.  He followed it up with Sister Abigail but Swagger got up and nailed a gutwrench suplex.  Wyatt grabs a chair and nails Sister Abigail on the chair.  Bray gets a 2 and 99/100th count.  Bray then spills thumbtacks in the ring.  Jack nails a powerslam but missed the thumbtacks.  Bray eventually recovers and slams Jack’s head into the ringside barrier again.  Disoriented, Jack crawls back into the ring only to be suplexed onto the thumbtacks.  Swagger struggles to his feet only to get hit with Sister Abigail once again.  Bray makes the cover and gets the 3 count.  Bray successfully defended his title.  (17 min)

King CJ then stands up and he and Bray stare at each other but then Roman Reigns comes out and he approaches the other side of the ring.  Bray takes the mic from the announcder.  "What would WrestleMania be without Bray Wyatt? What would a beast be without its teeth? What would a reaper be without a soul to take? What would a king be without his crown? But I know something y'all don't know. Something wicked this way comes. Run, all of you."

The camera fades out and the show ends with all 3 men staring at each other.  Thanks for reading but be sure to stay tuned as Wrestlemania will be here before you know it.

HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2016 – #463


Hello fans and welcome back to our show.  Tonight, Shane McMahon has something he wants to say.  Also, the Ragin’ Cajun Rad Gumbo makes his in-ring debut tonight.   The show begins with Desperado member El Chango comes out on stage.  He challenges the Stache to a non-title match.  The Stache comes out and tells his teammate he accepts and will see him later tonight.

We head to the ring for our first match and Goldust comes out.  He gets into the ring and new music hits and “Rad’s World” starts flashing all over the Omegatron.  Rad saunters down to the ring and even flirts with a few of the ladies at ringside and pisses off the boyfriends/husbands.  Rad takes the mic and says he’s taking a page from another legends playbook and tells all the fat, overweight no-good slobs to sit down and let their ladies gaze upon a real man.  As the booing intensified, Rad flips everyone off.  Goldust walked in thinking this was going to be a cakewalk but how wrong he was.  Gumbo took the match to Goldie and in just a quick 7 ½ minutes, Gumbo locks in the Onion Twist (Muta lock) and get gets Goldust to quickly tap out.  Rad Gumbo is victorious in his first match.  He grabs the mic from the ring announcer and proclaims “Gumbo 7:30 says its dinna time, bitch.”  Rad drops the mic and walks off.

In the back, GM Max McGillicutty tells El Chango that his match is officially next and tells him to head to the ring. 

The Stache makes his way out first and gets a decent reaction from the fans.  El Chango and Leon Teremoto come out next and make their way to the ring.  El Chango started off really strong but the Stache begins to fight back.  Just as the Stache was going for the Tombstone (piledriver), Leon trips him and El Chango falls on top of him.  El Chango then jumps to the top turnbuckle and nails a shooting star press.  Leon holds down Stache’s leg and the ref (oblivious) counts 1-2-3.  El Chango gets the win in just 3 minutes.  El Chango then helps the Stache up and tells him he’s willing to forgo a shot at Wrestlemania if Stache gives him a title match tonight.  He even says that Leon will not be at ringside.  The Stache says that if he beats El Chango, they need to put all this behind them and go back to the way things were.  El Chango agrees.  The Stache stares at Leon as everyone leaves the ring.

Intercontinental Champion Magnum Kone is in the interview area and he says that he doesn’t have an opponent yet for Wrestlemania.  He says that he’d like to see 4 members in the top 10 meet and the last man standing will be his opponent for Wrestlemania.  Max walks over and says that will be happening later tonight.

We head back to the ring for tag team action.  First, the Bella Twins (Nikki and Brie) head to the ring.  They are then followed out by Women’s Champion Paige and Ravishing Raquel.  The twins took control early on and made things really tough on their opponents.  There was a lot of miscommunication between Paige and
Raquel and it even got to the point where they wouldn’t even tag out to each other and had to resort to blind tagging.  At one point, Raquel and Paige almost came to blows.  Just as the clock was winding down. Brie locked Raquel in an armbar but Raquel hit a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker.  Before she could go for the pin, Paige tagged herself in and then the bell rang bringing this one to an end.  The match ended in a draw with a score that was perfectly even (221 to 221).  Even after the bell, Raquel and Paige squared off and had to be separated.  Raquel challenges Paige to a match at Wrestlemania for the Women’s title to which Paige accepted.  (30 min for the match; 33 for the segment)

In the back, the Stache confronts Leon Teremoto about his interference.  Leon says that it was all a simple mistake and says it will never happen again.  Stache agrees and says it won’t because Leon will not be allowed at ringside.  The Stache leaves and Leon looks sad.

We head back to the ring for our next match.  First, Sonic Blade makes his way to the ring and then is followed out by his opponent The Fiend.  After an 18 minute ass kicking (146 to 58), Sonic Blade gets the pin after hitting a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker.  After the match, the Fiend tried to complain that Blade was holding the tights – which Sonic said was false.  The Fiend ends up attacking Sonic Blade and after trapping Sonic in the Devil Lock (Figure 4), he demanded a rematch.  Sonic, in immense pain, agreed to it.  The Fiend looks on in disgust before walking away.

GM Max McGillicutty announces that tonight’s main event will be a Fatal 4 Way with Tyson Kidd vs Konnor (Ascension) vs the Elitist Champion the Wraith vs Kazarian.

Back to the ring we go for tag team action.  The Uso’s (Jey and Jimmy) are taking on Robbie E and Rockstar Spud.  Ethan Carter III is not present as he has a match later.  The Uso’s controlled the tempo for the entire match and came to an end after Jey hit Robbie E with a Northern Lights Suplex and got the 1-2-3.  Another win for the Uso’s.  They celebrate with the fans before leaving.  (16 min)

The next match begins almost immediately with Stardust taking on Ethan Carter III.  ECIII has not been a happy camper ever since losing his IC title.  He says tonight, he gets back on the road to becoming a champion once again.  Unfortunately for him, Stardust had other plans and after a 15 minute battle, Stardust stuns ECIII with an Alabama Slam and gets the 3 count.  Stardust leaves as ECIII has a fit in the ring.  (15 min)

Shane McMahon appears on the Omegatron and mocks El Chango for butting in on his match at WM but he’s all for kicking another person’s ass.  He tells El Chango that it doesn’t matter who’s the champ, only he is walking out with a belt.

It’s time for Hardcore title action.  Internal strife ignites as El Chango challenges his Desperado teammate the Stache for the Hardcore title.  El Chango has promised that he would be the one to destroy Shane McMahon and send him back to wherever.  The Stache is asked what type of rules he wants for this one and he responds with “boot camp”.  Right off the bat, El Chango blasts the Stache with a head smash into the steel post.  Stache was opened up bad.  Medics were called down while El Chango paced on the other side.  The ref was going to call the match but the Stache said he wanted to continue.   The Stache stomps on El Chango with a military boot and El Chango goes for the Muta lock.  El Chango then digs his heel into the Stache’s esophagus but then gets sent to the outside of the ring where the Stache nails a Kamikaze dive.   Both men are down but Stache makes it back in by the 6 count and El Chango barely made it in before the ref counted to 10.  El Chango goes for the Diamond Dust but it is neutralized.  El Chango jumps to the top turnbuckle and nails a shooting star press.  He catches the Stache square and hooks the leg as the ref counts 1…2…3!  El Chango has just defeated the Stache to become the NEW HARDCORE CHAMPION!  Leon Teremoto rushes out and celebrates with El Chango and the two leave.  Medics come back out and help the Stache to the back. (6 min)

GM Max McGillicutty comes back out and stops El Chango on the ramp.  He says that the Stache will get a rematch and the Triple Threat Match between El Chango, the Stache and Shane McMahon is set for Wrestlemania.  El Chango tries to argue but Max walks off.

 Intercontinental Champion Magnum Kone makes his way down and sits at ringside so he can scope out tonight’s main event. 

Tyson Kidd, Konnor, the Wraith and Kazarian are all in the ring.  This one turned into a slobberknocker as the Wraith ended up running away after Reid Rothchild came out and chased him from the ring.  Konnor also ended up leaving after the Steel Curtain came out and while beating down on Konnor, Viktor came out and all 4 men fought to the back leaving Tyson and Kazarian.  This one almost went the distance but Tyson got lucky and hit a sunset flip powerbomb and with a hook of the leg gets the 1-2-3.  Tyson Kidd will be going on to Wrestlemania to fight Magnum Kone.  Kone enters the ring and TOWERS over Kidd but if Davey could be Goliath, then anything is possible.  (28 min)
