Hello fans. This is going to be a short newsletter as there isn’t much to cover as Donnie B and Jeff Meyers decided to give the rosters the entire month of May off. Donnie B was a little upset at losing the World title (but then again, he did hold the belt for 2 months) but ended up ridding the HWF of Randy Orton. It was announced that as the CSWA would get Orton, HWF would need someone in return. Regal drew a name at random and ended up choosing……Rob Van Dam. RVD was supposed to get world title shots but now he gets to start over in the HWF.
With the loss of the Kraken, Jeff Hardy loses his tag team title shot. All of the other teams move up in line.
Only one person doesn’t get time off…That’s right…The Negronomicon. N was informed by William Regal that he will continue to work and he will be doing tours over in Mexico, Canada, Japan and most of Europe. Word has it they are paying big bucks in Japan to see N get his ass handed to him. I think we may get updates but we won’t post anything until close to the end of the month.

Wrestling Newsletter Year 5 (2010) 5.1 – Over the Edge PPV (from April 30)
Hello fans. From Chicago, IL, we are LIVE with our April PPV – Over The Edge.
William Regal came out first with the news that both the Hogan and Flair matches will be inside of a steel cage. This will prevent either man from trying to escape. A stipulation was added that if either MW3 or the Super Warrior lost, they would be out of a job. Regal went on to say that the Kraken put his career on the line against Rey Mysterio so if the Kraken loses, he will be out of a job. He also reminded us that John Cena would be wrestling on the card twice – once defending the TV title against HHH and then going after the US title held by Edge. Also wrestling twice would be AJ Styles. Styles is
Regal continued with more news. It was time for some house cleaning. He was tired of Jericho running his mouth so he put him in a match against Shelton Benjamin with the loser being let go. Also, Carlito issued a challenge to Mike Knox for his spot and their job would be on the line too.

And now, on with the show!
Our first match of the night is AJ Styles defending the X-Division title against Fit Finley. This was quick as it only took the champ 3 minutes to get the win after Finley got counted out. AJ hit a flying bodypress from the top rope and took out Finley. Finley never recovered and was unable to make it back in.
AJ was pumped and called out Kurt Angle for his match. This one went slightly longer – 4 ½ minutes. The end came after a missed spot by AJ was turned into an Ankle lock and AJ had no choice but to tap out.
The next match is RVD vs. Kane. It was decided at the last minute that it would be for Kane’s spot in the world title hunt. This one went 14 minutes with the high flying RVD taking it to the big red monster. RVD hit a Van Daminator and Kane fell out of the ring. RVD then went to the top rope and hit a frog splash on Kane. RVD rolled back in just as the ref counted to 10. RVD moves up in the rankings and Kane moves down.
The first world title match was next with Rey Mysterio taking on the Kraken. Mysterio stared off strong with a hurricanrana. He then hit a dropkick but the Kraken locked in the figure four. Rey made it to the ropes. Mysterio hit some reverse chops and Kraken hit Rey with a chair. Rey battled back and hit the 6-1-9 but only got a 2 count. The Kraken tosses Rey out of the ring but he is back in at 3. Rey hit some reverse chops and the Kraken hit him with a chair again (while the ref was distracted). Rey hits more reverse chops, goes for a pin but Kraken kicks out at 2. Rey hits a hurricanrana and Kraken kicks him in the groin. Rey hits another hurricanrana but Kraken locks him in a sleeper hold. More chops from the champ and another groin shot by the challenger. The Kraken follows it up with a piledriver. Rey hits a flying bodypress but Kraken, guess what, kicks him in the groin again. And yet, another groin shot from the challenger. Now, the ref warns him. If he does it again, he will be disqualified. Rey hits a dropkick but the Kraken hits the Kraken Crush but Rey makes it to the ropes to avoid tapping out. The Kraken goes for another groin shot but Rey hits a hurricanrana instead, goes for the cover but only gets a 2 count. The Kraken hits another groin shot and the ref goes to call for the DQ but Rey asks him not to. Rey goes to the top rope, hits a flying bodypress and makes the cover for the 1….2….3. Rey retains the title and the Kraken is now out of work.
Next up was John Cena defending the TV title against HHH. HHH owned Cena for the entire match. The end came at the 14 minute mark when a fan jumped the ringside barrier wearing a DX shirt. Cena couldn’t understand why a kid was wearing a DX shirt (instead of one of his) and HHH rolled him up for the 1-2-3 and becomes the NEW TV CHAMPION.
Abyss came out next for his match against Samoa Joe for the IC title. Joe got on the mic and said that after he dispatched Abyss, he was issuing a challenge to the world champion and vowed to take that title too. Abyss didn’t care for being dismissed this way so he handed Joe the beating of a lifetime. I’ve never seen Abyss this pumped up before. The match went 18 minutes with both men hitting their signature moves and both kicked out of them numerous times. Finally, Abyss hit the champ with a boot that nearly took off Joe’s head. Joe appeared to be out. Abyss made the cover and the ref counted 1…2….3. Abyss wins the match and is the NEW INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION.
Next was the next World title match with Donnie B taking on the Undertaker. You may remember in their last non-title match, Undertaker got Donnie B to tap to the Triangle choke in 3 minutes. He started off with the Triangle choke but Donnie B made it to the ropes. Undertaker then followed it up with a chokeslam. Undertaker then tossed the champ out of the ring and it appeared Donnie B hit his head on the steps. He wasn’t moving so Undertaker went out and tossed him back in at the 9 count. Donnie B connects somehow with an eye rake and Taker hits the tombstone piledriver. He makes the cover but DB gets his foot on the ropes after 1. Undertaker goes for a clothesline but DB gets out of the way. Donnie B goes to the ropes but Undertaker catches him, hits a tombstone piledriver and makes the cover but again, DB gets his foot on the ropes to break the count. DB hits Undertaker with a chair. Donnie B hits a superplex but before he can do anything, Taker locks in the triangle choke. DB makes it to the ropes. Donnie B hits the Lights out brainbuster but Taker rolls out of the ring to avoid the pin attempt. DB goes to the ropes and whatever he was going to do, nothing happened. DB hits a DDT and Taker hits a chokeslam. He then pulls off the strap and drags his thumb across his neck calling for the end. Donnie B looked totally freaked out. DB hits Taker with a chair and then gets tossed out of the ring. He tried to leave but Taker was there and got him back into the ring. Taker then choked DB until the ref made him break the hold. Undertaker called for a chokeslam and hit it. Just then, Randy Orton came out. DB tossed Taker to the outside and started to yell at Orton. Undertaker was back in by 4. DB hits a flying dropkick and Taker tried to choke him out again. DB hit a dropkick. He was going to go for a pin until Undertaker sat up. DB hit a Guerrero stomp and Taker hit a choke slam. Taker went back to choking the champ out. DB hits an eye rake to break the choke. DB hits a Guerrero stomp and out of nowhere, Taker grabs Donnie B and in the middle of the ring, locks in the Triangle choke. DB has nowhere to go so he taps out. Undertaker gets the win and is the NEW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION. Donnie B immediately called for his rematch. Donnie B and the Undertaker went another 25 minutes and in a fluke move, DB hits a neckbreaker and gets the pin. DB regains the title. Now, the two will square off in a steel cage.
Undertaker starts off with a clothesline. He followed it up with a tombstone piledriver but the champ kicked out at 1. Undertaker then locks in the triangle choke. Donnie B submits. Undertaker starts to go over the top and as Donnie B tries to stop him, Undertaker chokeslams the champ from the top of the cage to the mat below. Undertaker goes over the top and to the floor below and becomes the official HWF World Heavyweight Champion.
Next came the “loser must retire” matches.
First was Chris Jericho against Shelton Benjamin. In one of the shortest matches of the night, Jericho gets the win after hitting a Lionsault at the 5 minute mark. Shelton left the ring saddened but got an ovation from the fans.
Next was Carlito taking on Mike Knox. In a 21 minute ass-whipping, Carlito gets the win. Knox is now out of work. Not sure how this happened but Carlito is now in line for belts on both brands. We will have to wait and see how this works out.
Following that came the Big Show vs. Chris Daniels. In what really was a fluke win, Daniels gets the win in 3 minutes with a double jump moonsault. He then got on the mic and told Regal that since he felt he wasn’t treated fairly, he was quitting. He said goodbye to the fans and left. Since he wasn’t forced out, he may have an option to return in the future.
Now, we had the match to determine the path of Orton’s future. He had his match against Batista. If Orton were to lose, he would be traded to the CSWA. If he won, he would become the #1 contender for any title (and as many titles as) he wanted. Before the match began, Jeff Meyers and William Regal came out to watch. About 5 minutes into the match, for no reason whatsoever, Batista got up and walked out of the match. He kept walking by Mr. Meyers and Regal and (to the best of our knowledge,) walked right out of the building. Orton cheered that he was now the number one contender but Regal stopped him there. “First of all, you didn’t win. Batista lost. Not sure what’s happening there but that will be addressed at a later time. For now, you need to get a pin or submission if you are to stay in the HWF. It so happens that one person in the back has agreed to wrestle again tonight to take you on. It is none other than Donnie B. Donnie B came out for his 4th match of the night but had a look of determination on his face. Orton started off with some rapid punches and Donnie B tossed him out of the ring. Regal got on the mic and said this would be a no-countout match. Orton is back in at 9. Orton hit the Orton stomp twice and Donnie B took him down with a lights out brainbuster but he was not able to make a pin. Orton battled back with some rapid punches and Donnie B gave him an eye rake. Orton choked DB in the corner and as soon as he let up, DB hit Orton with a DDT. Orton hit a suplex and Donnie B came back with a Lights out Brainbuster. He made the cover and with a bit of help from the ropes, got the 1.2.3. Randy Orton is now the property of the CSWA. He is Meyers problem now.
Mr. Kennedy was up next defending the Cruiserweight title against Jeff Hardy. In 5 ½ minutes, Jeff ended up getting counted out allowing Kennedy to retain the Cruiserweight title.
Edge was up next defending the US title against Cena. Cena is already 0-1 tonight. This was the shortest match of the night. Just under 60 seconds. Cena tossed Edge out of the ring but he was immediately back in, hit a DDT and got the cover, the win and is still the US Champion.
Our only tag bout of the night is Matt Hardy and John Morrison vs. Sting and CM Punk for the World tag team titles. The match went 24 minutes with both teams staying even for the entire match. The end came when Morrison was brawling with Punk and Hardy tossed Sting out of the ring. Sting appeared to have landed badly and ended up getting counted out. The champs lose the match but not the tag team titles.
Prior to his match later on, the Super Warrior cut a promo and had this to say:
Hear me Warriors! The time has come. The so-called Nature Boy is finally about to be PERMANENTLY retired from professional wrestling. You have had a good run Flair but it is time for Nature to take its course. Out with the old and in with the new as they say. It is survival of the fittest and as anyone can see, you are far from being fit. So I am going to save you further embarassment. But fear not, even though you claim to be the "Dirtiest Player In The Game", I am nothing of the sort. I will end your illustrious career honorably so that you can take your place among the legends of wrestling as will I one day. In the meantime, I will be more than happy to assume your role as the greatest wrestler of all time
Ric Flair did not take the time to respond. He made some noise as he walked by and that was all.
The final four matches of the night started off with CSWA World Champion Rey Mysterio taking on the NEW HWF World Champion the Undertaker. The time limit for this match was extended to 45 minutes and was a no dq/countout match. The Undertaker looked exhausted while Mysterio looked fresh. Undertaker started off strong but as time went on, he just ran out of steam. Mysterio kept up the pace and at the 14 minute mark, he hits an awesome dropkick off the ropes and pinned the Undertaker for the 1.2.3. Rey will go on to meet Samoa Joe for the Undisputed Heavyweight Championship.
Our 3rd to last match had Hulk Hogan taking on MW3 inside of a steel cage. This was another short match. I don’t think Hogan really even cared. The match began with MW3 reversing a Hogan clothesline and hitting the MW3 driver. Hogan came back with a bearhug. Hogan then raked the back of MW3 but he turned around and did the Hogan point at him. He blocked two of Hogan’s punches and delivered the MW3 superkick. He went to the top of the cage and hit the B-52 kneedrop from the top of the cage. Hogan was out. MW3 then climbed over the top and dropped to the floor (all in 3 minutes) to end the career of Hulk Hogan.
Next was Super Warrior vs Ric Flair inside the cage. Flair, before getting in said that would not be him (referring to Hogan). Flair immediately hit SW with a foreign object busting him open. He went for a pin but SW kicked out. Flair then choked him out. SW locks in a cobra clutch but gets a foreign object to the face again. Flair goes for a pin but SW kicks out. Flair then grinds the face of SW into the cage blinding him. Flair locks in the figure four but when SW grabbed for the ropes to break the hold, Flair refused. He had him in the figure 4 for two solid minutes. SW had the ropes and Flair wouldn’t break the hold. SW somehow battled back and hit the Super Powerslam but couldn’t keep the 16x champion down. SW went for a super powerbomb which was reversed by Flair. He then attempted a super powerslam but that was nullified. SW then spotted Flair’s brass knuckles and nailed him with them. Flair is now busted open. SW went for a pin but Ric kicked out at 2. All of a sudden, a masked wrestler came down and threw a chain in to Flair. He nailed SW with it. As the masked guy left, he posed for the crowd and the posing looked very familiar to one originally done by “A Real American”. SW, full of intestinal fortitude, kicked out. Flair was livid. He did a unique figure four around the ropes and ring post and I swear it looked like he almost broke SW’s leg. Regal then came out and stated that SW’s career was not on the line. If Flair were to somehow win this match, SW would get a second chance. Flair relished in his beatdown of SW. He then went to the top of the cage and hit the B-52 kneedrop to an almost unconscious SW. Flair made the cover and got the 1.2.3. He then went for the door and made it through. Ric Flair gets the win and SW will get another shot at him. Flair went back in and locked in the figure four again. By this point, SW had passed out from the pain (he never gave up). SW had to be stretchered out.
The final match of the night is Samoa Joe defending the Undisputed Championship against Rey Mysterio. Joe began his smack talk and somehow convinced Mysterio to also put the CSWA World title on the line. This match also took place in the steel cage. In 12 minutes, Joe connected with a big boot but Rey hit a Hurricanrana and the Undisputed Champ went down. Rey then hit a swanton bomb from the top of the cage onto Joe. He covered him, got the 1.2.3 and then went for the door. Somehow Joe stopped him and got a kick to the face which was followed up by a 6-1-9. The cage door was opened again and Rey dove out the door to the floor below making him the NEW UNDISPUTED HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION.

Donnie B came out for his 4th match of the night but had a look of determination on his face. Orton started off with some rapid punches and Donnie B tossed him out of the ring. Regal got on the mic and said this would be a no-countout match. Orton is back in at 9. Orton hit the Orton stomp twice and Donnie B took him down with a lights out brainbuster but he was not able to make a pin. Orton battled back with some rapid punches and Donnie B gave him an eye rake. Orton choked DB in the corner and as soon as he let up, DB hit Orton with a DDT. Orton hit a suplex and Donnie B came back with a Lights out Brainbuster. He made the cover and with a bit of help from the ropes, got the 1.2.3. Randy Orton is now the property of the CSWA. He is Meyers problem now.
Mr. Kennedy was up next defending the Cruiserweight title against Jeff Hardy. In 5 ½ minutes, Jeff ended up getting counted out allowing Kennedy to retain the Cruiserweight title.
Edge was up next defending the US title against Cena. Cena is already 0-1 tonight. This was the shortest match of the night. Just under 60 seconds. Cena tossed Edge out of the ring but he was immediately back in, hit a DDT and got the cover, the win and is still the US Champion.
Our only tag bout of the night is Matt Hardy and John Morrison vs. Sting and CM Punk for the World tag team titles. The match went 24 minutes with both teams staying even for the entire match. The end came when Morrison was brawling with Punk and Hardy tossed Sting out of the ring. Sting appeared to have landed badly and ended up getting counted out. The champs lose the match but not the tag team titles.
Prior to his match later on, the Super Warrior cut a promo and had this to say:
Hear me Warriors! The time has come. The so-called Nature Boy is finally about to be PERMANENTLY retired from professional wrestling. You have had a good run Flair but it is time for Nature to take its course. Out with the old and in with the new as they say. It is survival of the fittest and as anyone can see, you are far from being fit. So I am going to save you further embarassment. But fear not, even though you claim to be the "Dirtiest Player In The Game", I am nothing of the sort. I will end your illustrious career honorably so that you can take your place among the legends of wrestling as will I one day. In the meantime, I will be more than happy to assume your role as the greatest wrestler of all time
Ric Flair did not take the time to respond. He made some noise as he walked by and that was all.
The final four matches of the night started off with CSWA World Champion Rey Mysterio taking on the NEW HWF World Champion the Undertaker. The time limit for this match was extended to 45 minutes and was a no dq/countout match. The Undertaker looked exhausted while Mysterio looked fresh. Undertaker started off strong but as time went on, he just ran out of steam. Mysterio kept up the pace and at the 14 minute mark, he hits an awesome dropkick off the ropes and pinned the Undertaker for the 1.2.3. Rey will go on to meet Samoa Joe for the Undisputed Heavyweight Championship.
Our 3rd to last match had Hulk Hogan taking on MW3 inside of a steel cage. This was another short match. I don’t think Hogan really even cared. The match began with MW3 reversing a Hogan clothesline and hitting the MW3 driver. Hogan came back with a bearhug. Hogan then raked the back of MW3 but he turned around and did the Hogan point at him. He blocked two of Hogan’s punches and delivered the MW3 superkick. He went to the top of the cage and hit the B-52 kneedrop from the top of the cage. Hogan was out. MW3 then climbed over the top and dropped to the floor (all in 3 minutes) to end the career of Hulk Hogan.
Next was Super Warrior vs Ric Flair inside the cage. Flair, before getting in said that would not be him (referring to Hogan). Flair immediately hit SW with a foreign object busting him open. He went for a pin but SW kicked out. Flair then choked him out. SW locks in a cobra clutch but gets a foreign object to the face again. Flair goes for a pin but SW kicks out. Flair then grinds the face of SW into the cage blinding him. Flair locks in the figure four but when SW grabbed for the ropes to break the hold, Flair refused. He had him in the figure 4 for two solid minutes. SW had the ropes and Flair wouldn’t break the hold. SW somehow battled back and hit the Super Powerslam but couldn’t keep the 16x champion down. SW went for a super powerbomb which was reversed by Flair. He then attempted a super powerslam but that was nullified. SW then spotted Flair’s brass knuckles and nailed him with them. Flair is now busted open. SW went for a pin but Ric kicked out at 2. All of a sudden, a masked wrestler came down and threw a chain in to Flair. He nailed SW with it. As the masked guy left, he posed for the crowd and the posing looked very familiar to one originally done by “A Real American”. SW, full of intestinal fortitude, kicked out. Flair was livid. He did a unique figure four around the ropes and ring post and I swear it looked like he almost broke SW’s leg. Regal then came out and stated that SW’s career was not on the line. If Flair were to somehow win this match, SW would get a second chance. Flair relished in his beatdown of SW. He then went to the top of the cage and hit the B-52 kneedrop to an almost unconscious SW. Flair made the cover and got the 1.2.3. He then went for the door and made it through. Ric Flair gets the win and SW will get another shot at him. Flair went back in and locked in the figure four again. By this point, SW had passed out from the pain (he never gave up). SW had to be stretchered out.
The final match of the night is Samoa Joe defending the Undisputed Championship against Rey Mysterio. Joe began his smack talk and somehow convinced Mysterio to also put the CSWA World title on the line. This match also took place in the steel cage. In 12 minutes, Joe connected with a big boot but Rey hit a Hurricanrana and the Undisputed Champ went down. Rey then hit a swanton bomb from the top of the cage onto Joe. He covered him, got the 1.2.3 and then went for the door. Somehow Joe stopped him and got a kick to the face which was followed up by a 6-1-9. The cage door was opened again and Rey dove out the door to the floor below making him the NEW UNDISPUTED HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION.
