fans and welcome to another installment of the HCW Wrestling Newsletter. A special thanks and shout out to James Lehay
for stepping in as temporary GM while GM Max McGillicutty was out on vacation. The show begins in Max’s office. He says that his time off was needed and
productive. He says that there are plans
in the works to allow HCW to expand its footprint. In case you forgot, when HWF and CSWA were
dissolved (leading to the creation of HCW), an agreement was reached with all
the major federations to “stay put” in the Pacific Northwest. Well, we are happy to announce that the time
limit on that “agreement” has expired and HCW is now free to hold shows across
the United States. We would like to
announce that for the October PPV House of Horrors, this show will take place
in Columbia, South Carolina. Yes, it’s a
bit far from home but Columbia made us an offer we couldn’t refuse. In an effort to minimize travel, the
preceding ‘Go Home Show’ will be taking place as a non-televised event early in
order to give the roster going enough time to get settled in and prepare for
the show.
Speaking
of shows, tonight, is “Ladies Night” where all matches on the card will have
our ladies roster wrestling. The
Anytime/Anywhere title held by Catalina Harper will be on the line as well as
the Ladies Champion Violet Valkyrie defending her title. With that out of the way, let’s get this
party started.
Pyro
goes off and our first match is ready to get underway. First, the Anytime/Anywhere Champion Catalina
Harper comes out to a nice pop from the crowd.
She gets into the ring and says she will take on anyone who comes
through the curtain first. The camera
cuts backstage where we see a bunch of women fighting to make it out the
curtain first but then one comes barreling through like a bowling ball and
rushes through the curtain. We don’t
recognize her but there is something oddly familiar about this person. She makes her way to the ring and climbs in
saying she accepts the match but then shocks the world when the wig comes off
and it’s…DASH WOODBRICK. Dash attacks

The
ref raises Catalina’s arm as the victor.
Dash argues with the ref that he did not submit; he was only yawning due
to the boredom of the match’s pace. It
falls on deaf ears and the ref follows Catalina out of the ring while Dash is
left in the ring complaining to no one who will listen.
We
cut backstage to an altercation. The Banker
attacked current TV Champion Master Bull and the two are fighting all over the
back. GM Max McGillicutty comes over to
intervene. He says that if the two of
them want to beat the holy hell out of each other, it won’t be in the back
where no one can see it. It will be in
the ring AND it will be at the House of Horrors PPV. Max throws down a stipulation that if the
Banker attacks or does anything to Master Bull between now and then, he
forfeits his title shot. It looks like
we have our first match for the PPV set up.
Next
up, Sarona Reiher comes storming out to boos from the crowd. She gets on the mic and says that she should
be getting the next title match but someone is standing in her way. She calls out Hayley Hailstorm. Hayley comes out to a huge pop from the
crowd. She has a mic of her own and says
that if Sarona wants a fight, she’ll give it to her. She rushes the ring only to be stomped upon
entering. The match begins. Hayley is no slouch and immediately took the
fight to Sarona. Sarona got a couple of
near falls after hitting the Superfly Splash but Hayley kicked out just in
time. We join the match at the 15 min mark.

Hailstorm gets the win and retains her spot in the top 10. She gets on the mic and thanks the fans for
backing her and says that they will get to see her take on the Ladies Champion
sooner rather than later. She leaves to
a pop from the crowd.
There
is a pre-recorded video from the Wicked Prophet. He acknowledges the losses to Texas Wildfire
saying he totally underestimated him. He
says that if he wants to achieve World Championship gold, he needs to “go back
to the beginning”. He says he will train
both his body and mind and when he comes back, everyone from Casper Wyoming to
Jack Lumber better watch out.
Backstage,
Queen Goldie Locks and Korbi Kong are talking when they are interrupted by
Betsy and Felicia the Cummings twins.
The twins joke that neither Goldie nor Korbi are considered in the top
10 for the Ladies title. Korbi then
offers a solution. She says that both
she and Goldie will challenge each of the sisters for their spots in the top
10. Queen Goldie promises that after
tonight, they both will be in the title hunt.
We
head back to the ring for the first of our two challenge matches. First, Betsy and Felicia make their way out
to booing from the crowd. They get into
the ring and whisper to each other.
Felicia leaves the ring. The
loudspeakers then blasts out “KORBI KONG SMASH” and out comes Korbi to a huge
pop from the crowd. She stands on the
stage waiting and is joined by the Queen of HCW Goldie Locks. They walk down to the ring and Goldie says
she has Korbi’s back against any outside interference from Felicia. The bell rings. Korbi immediately goes on the offensive
stunning Betsy. Korbi is a woman on a
mission. The two trade blows for the
first 5 minutes of the match where we join in.

We
head back to the office of the GM. Max says that the titles weren’t really
defended in the first two weeks of the month so everything still pending (4
matches) will take place next week.
It’s
time for our main event. First, Leslie
Grimes comes out to booing from the crowd.
She gets into the ring and makes a ‘break’ motion signifying she was
going to break the Champion. The fans
don’t have long to wait as Ladies Champion Violet Valkyrie makes her way out to
the loudest pop of the night. She makes her way to the ring shaking hands
with fans as she gets to the ring. She
climbs in and then, after a cursory glance towards Leslie, she removes her
title and holds it high over her head. The
fans’ pop gets even louder. She steps
down and hands the the title to the ref.
She makes the ‘bring it’ motion and this one gets underway.
