Hello
fans and welcome back to our newsletter and our PPV – Reign of Champions. On tonight’s show, all 7 of our championships
are on the line. Pyro goes off and out
comes our GM Max McGillicutty. Max
thanks all the fans in attendance as well as those watching on PPV. Max tells us we’re in for a real treat as
this show represents the best of the best fighting for the championships. Master Bull joins him on stage and also
thanks the fans for watching. He states
that he is excited to be managing a brand again once HCW splits into two
shows. He will manage the ‘Phoenix Heat’
show which will air on Wednesdays and Max will manage the ‘Tacoma Thunder’ show
that will air on Sundays except when there is a PPV. When that happens, Max’s show will air the
next night on Mondays. Max says enough
jibber-jabbering and they need to get this show moving. Bull says “Awesomesauce” and they leave as
pyro goes off again starting this one.
Match
#1: Hardcore title: the Fiend © vs Dr. Red Fang w/ Ant Graham
Dr.
Red Fang comes out first with his manager Ant Graham and he hollers “VAMPIRE
LUNGES FOR EVERYONE!” They make it to
the ring but the fans despise the Dr. and his weaselly manager. Music from the Misfits hits and out comes the
Hardcore Champion the Fiend. The Fiend
wastes no time getting to the ring and immediately shoves Ant Graham out of the
ring. The ref asks the champ what rules
he wants for this match and he says it’s time once and for all to rid HCW of
the evil vampire and says he wants a “Chamber of Horrors” match and a cage is
lowered from up above (How did we miss that?).
The bell rings and the two immediately start slugging it out. Fang drags
the Fiend’s face across the cage blinding him.
Fang proceeds to hit the champ with every loose object he can find. The Fiend tries for a move off the top
turnbuckle but Fang crotches him on top.
Fang grabs a chair from under the ring. Fang then hits a Vampire Lunge
followed by a Transylvania piledriver on the chair. Fang uses the chair and
hits a sick shoulder smash. He makes the
cover and gets the 1-2-3.
Dr. Red Fang is attempting to put his opponent in
the Chair of Torture! The Fiend puts up
a struggle but then Fang hits him with the Vampire Lunge.
Dr. Red Fang puts his opponent in the Chair of
Torture!
Dr. Red Fang wins with a Chamber of Horrors Electrocution over
The Fiend!!!
Dr.
Red Fang has defeated the Fiend and is once again the Hardcore Champion! The cage is raised and medics attend to the
Fiend while Fang and his manager celebrate before leaving. The Fiend is taken out on a stretcher. (5 min)
We cut
to the outside where a limo has just pulled up and security is lining the
way. The Honorable J C Dykes exits the
limo with the Unknown Assassin following.
They don’t stop and enter the building.
As they head to UA’s dressing room, Texas Wildfire is walking by and asks
“Why so seriousssss”. Dykes tells him to
move and when Wildfire is slow to respond, the Unknown Assassin moves in and
forcibly SHOVES TW out of the way.
Wildfire falls back into some boxes and Dykes and UA continue on their
way.
Match
#2: Six Man Tag Team Titles: the Axe, ScooterJ & TNT © vs the Muscles
Trio
The
Muscles Trio (Muscles McGuire, Weasley and Thorpe) come out first and they are
acting all goofy wearing their rainbow colored bull horns. Thorpe gets on the mic and says how great it
is to be back…not the all super serious Muscles but the fun-loving, Booooty-O’s
eating, fan favorites. They said they
took the Column to the limit but the best team won. Now, it’s time for them to regain the titles
they’ve not held in a long time. He says
they are ready. Next, the champs come
out and it’s ScooterJ leading the way with the Axe and TNT following. They head to the ring holding the titles high
as the fans pop for them. The 6 men shake hands and then this one kicks
off. The match barely starts and all 6
men are brawling in the center of the ring.
The ref finally gets control and sends everyone but the legal men
out. Muscles Thorpe went for the E-Train
but TNT sent him flying over the top rope and crashing to the floor below. Thorpe was not able to make it back in and
ended up getting counted out just 45 seconds into the match. TNT, ScooterJ and the Axe retain their titles
on a countout. ScooterJ gets on the mic
and says he doesn’t want to see it end just like that but he’s willing to give
the Muscles another match and this time is willing to waive the DQ/CO
rule. The Muscles agree. This one was really close for the whole 22
minutes it went on. Thorpe seemed to
recover and contributed to the match.
The champs began to falter when the Trio got 3 rounds of triple teaming
in but then the 5th Column (Baron von Blood, Karl Braun & Oswald
Zimmerman) came out and jumped both teams.
The champs and the Trio teamed up and disposed of the invaders. Once the ring cleared again, McGuire turned
around only to get taken down by the Axe from the Axe. Axe made the cover and got the 1-2-3. ScooterJ, the Axe and TNT retain their titles
once again. (22 min; total for both
matches 23:30)
#Awesomesauce

We
head back to the ring for our next match:
Match
#3: TV title – Biceps Bannerman vs Phat
Sol
The
‘Sol Man’ Phat Sol comes out first and he gets probably the loudest pop he’s
gotten in his entire career. Phat
high-fives the fans as he makes his way around and then into the ring. Next, the TV Champion Biceps Bannerman comes
out and the fans boo him. He doesn’t care. He gets in the ring and then shoves Phat
trying to get under his skin. Phat
retains his cool. The bell rings.
Biceps
early on tried to get Phat counted out after he bodyslammed him on the floor
but Phat was able to make it back in.
Biceps then powerslammed Phat and then climbed to the top turnbuckle and
then launched himself however no one was there when he hit the mat and it
sounded like the worst belly flop ever.
Phat got psyched up as he made it to his feet and then took the match to
Biceps. Phat hit the Phat’s Enough for
a 2 count. Biceps tried to catch his
breath by tossing Phat out of the ring but the ‘Sol Man’ was on a roll. Phat would hit the ropes and drop the champ
with a forearm smash and got a 2 count.
After about 10 minutes of no pin or submission attempts, Phat tried
again after hitting a jaw jacker but Biceps powered out. Biceps then hit the ropes charging at Phat
but Phat caught him and hit a MASSIVE bodyslam and the ring shook violently. Biceps struggled to his feet and Phat grabbed
him by the head, jumped over the top rope and snapped Biceps neck on the top
rope. The champ fell back in the
ring. Phat slid back in and made the
cover and the ref counted 1…2…3. Phat
Sol has defeated Biceps Bannerman to become the NEW TV Champion! Biceps left as Phat climbed all 4 corners and
held the title high as the fans popped for him.
He eventually left. (17 min;
score 63 to 144)
Backstage,
the Honorable J C Dykes is backstage with his man the Unknown Assassin. Dykes can’t make it through one show without
opening his mouth and this one was no different. “I told you…I told you all that the #1
phenomenon in the world was going to win the battle royal. The #1 phenomenon holds a money in the bank
contract also so we have a backup in case El Chimmy Chonga tries to do
something funny. Once the Unknown
Assassin wins the US title, he will continue to dominate HCW and when the time
is right, he’ll take the World Title because that is what HE DOES – He TAKES
what he WANTS WHEN he WANTS. It all
begins tonight…LOSERS!” The two of them
walk off.
We
meet up with the US Champion El Chango.
El Chango has words for his opponent tonight. “Unknown Assassin…if I didn’t know better,
I’d say you were nothing but a puppet for Loud Mouth there however, I’ve seen
your matches and you have an impressive record here in HCW but I can promise
you that you’d best be on your A+++ game because I will be and if you want to
take this title from me, you’d best be the better man. And Dykes, get in my way and I’ll take you
out too.”
Match
#4: US title – El Chango vs Unknown
Assassin
Security
comes out and lines the ramp as Loudmouth, err I mean, the Honorable J C Dykes
comes out first and introduces the Unknown Assassin. The fans boo and treat both men to chants of
“Loud Mouth” and it pisses Dykes off.
Dykes runs around the ring with his hands over his ears telling the
‘sheep’ to SHUT UP! That just fed fuel to the fire. Next, the US Champion El Chango came out and
the fans popped for him. He was all
business but wore the US title slung over his shoulder as he made his way down
to the ring. Dykes whispered something
to UA and then exited the ring. The
Unknown Assassin wasted no time and attacked the champ before he could get his
jacket off. UA stayed one step ahead of
the champ because of interference early on.
El Chango locks UA in a camel clutch but he won’t tap out so he lets him
up and tosses him out of the ring. Dykes
then hits El Chango with a chair while the ref is counting UA outside the
ring. UA is back in quick after seeing
the chair shot and then picks up El Chango and hits a sick piledriver in the
middle of the ring. He mockingly puts El
Chango’s arms across his chest (like what the Undertaker does) and makes the
cover. The ref counts 1…2…3. The Unknown Assassin has just defeated El
Chango to become the NEW US CHAMPION!
The fans practically riot and security rush down and escort the new
champion and his manager (who is laughing maniacally) to the back. (19 min; 100 to 155)
We cut
to the back where Figaroa “Figgy’ Newton is with his team Hoff n’ Spicy (Davis
Hoffmeister and DJ CJ Spice). Figgy says
that their time is now and they have the chance of a lifetime. Davis says “You couldn’t be any more
right. The Hoff and the DJ are
ready. We’ve been training and working
towards this moment in time where we are in line for a shot at the tag team
titles.” DJ adds in “We’ve worked hard
to get this to this point and we are NOT going home empty handed. Champs, shine those belts up because we’re
coming to take them.” Figgy, Hoff and DJ
all lean in and say “WORD!”
In
another area, the tag team champs the Steel Curtain (Buzz and Starbuck Steel)
are with their manager the Ambassador and they just finished watching the
promo. Buzz says “I can’t believe these
wannabees are so plastic that they have to steal YOUR trademarked saying there
‘Buck.” Starbuck says “Stealing a saying
is one thing but if they think they’re taking OUR belts – belts made relevant
because of US - they are sadly mistaken.”
The Ambassador adds in “And Newton, stick your beak in our business and
we’ll rearrange your face for free.” The
champs walk off.
Match
#5: World Tag Team Title Match – the
Steel Curtain © w/ the Ambassador vs Hoff n’ Spicy w/ Figgy Newton
Figgy
Newton comes out first and the fans pop but as soon as he introduces Hoff n
Spicy, the fans explode. Hoffmeister and
DJ make their way down to the ring high-fiving the fans. The fans turn sour as the Ambassador and the
champs the Steel Curtain make their way out.
Buzz and Starbuck flip off the fans which just infuriates them. Once all 4 men were in the ring, the ref
brought them to the center of the ring and tried to get them to shake hands
(what is this, boxing?). Neither team
obliged. The bell rang and this one
kicked right off. Before they could get
started though, GM Max McGillicutty came out and told the ref he forgot to
mention that this would be a NO DQ/CO match.
The Curtain seemed happy about that.
Max then added that they would use ‘Strategy’ rules and would have a 45
minute time limit which didn’t sit well with the champs. That didn’t stop them from dominating the
match. Hoff and DJ got in some good
licks and even Figgy and the Ambassador contributed to their teams but the
champs were just riding high. Davis took
advantage of the no CO rule and stayed outside to try to figure out strategy
with their manager. The Ambassador slunk
over and Figgy charged him leveling him with a clothesline. The fans popped for that.
Surprisingly,
this one went over 40 minutes with the champs dominating but unable to score
the pin. After an exhaustive battle,
both Hoff and Buzz made the hot tag to their respective partners. The Ambassador tried to hit DJ with his cane
but instead, DJ threw Starbuck crashing into his manager. The Ambassador fell from the apron and DJ
nailed Starbuck with a flying dropkick.
DJ made the cover and the ref counted 1…2…3! Hoff n’ Spicy have just defeated the Steel
Curtain to become the NEW WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS!!! Hoff and DJ are handed the titles and they
celebrate in the ring as Buzz, Starbuck and the Ambassador head to the
back. (42 min – 355 to 299)
Backstage,
Taylor Bella joins her teammates Figgy and the NEW Tag Team Champs Hoff n’
Spicy and says that tonight IS a night of change. She congratulates Davis and DJ on their win
and says that although it’s alluded her, tonight is HER night to win the Ladies
Title. Figgy tells her he will be in her
corner and she says she welcomes his brilliant (but sometime devious) mind.
Also
backstage is the Ladies Champion Southern Belle. Belle says she’s held a Women’s title as well
as a Diva’s title but this HCW Ladies Championship goes to show that she is the
BEST in the world. Belle asks Taylor
“Whatcha gonna do if your sisters aren’t there to help you? The answer…nothing. You are not in my league and how you got to
this stage is beyond me but I am the Belle of the South AND the Ladies Champion. Nothing changes tonight sweetheart.”
(Editor’s note: Taylor is the younger,
lesser known sister to the Bella Twins Brie and Nikki).
Match
#6: Ladies Title – Southern Belle vs
Taylor Bella
Figgy
Newton comes out first and introduces Taylor Bella. She gets a decent pop but the fans still
aren’t sure they can trust her. She
looks ready for this match and Figgy leaves the ring so she can get ready. Next, the Ladies Champion – the Southern Belle
– comes out and the fans pop for her.
She holds her title high as she makes her way down to the ring. She gets into the ring and holds the belt in
Taylor’s face. We hear her say “Not
tonight, not EVER.” Taylor asks Belle is
she’s scared. Belle laughs. Taylor says to make this a no DQ match
then. Belle agrees. Taylor owned the match and Belle tried to get
counted out but with that rule thrown out, it didn’t work. The challenger had multiple near counts but
could not get that elusive 3 count. Taylor
went for a sunset flip but Belle turned it into a victory roll and with a
handful of tights, she got the 1-2-3.
The fans lost it. Taylor was in
shock and couldn’t believe it. Belle
laughed and took her title back smiling but the fans turned on her for cheating
that way. Max came back out and said
that this was not the way a champion should act and told Belle that he is
making another match between them, not tonight but on Wednesday’s show. Belle WILL defend the Ladies title once again
against Taylor Bella and this time, there will be a clear cut winner. Max left and Belle stormed off. Taylor and Figgy celebrated with the fans
before leaving. Taylor was a little
disappointed but was happy to see justice being served by her getting a
rematch. (12 min; 74 to 108)
We
head to the back for our final interview segments. Sonic Blade says he’s ready. He learned a lot from being a stooge of King
Wilber but he also learned how to become his own man. Tonight, that MAN takes on a KING and in what
is sure to be the match of the night, he’s going to give it his all. “I can’t promise I’m walking out with the
title as Wilber has many cards up his sleeves and he is a crafty devil. What I can promise is that this will be my
finest performance…my finest hour. If my
best isn’t good enough to win the title, I will know. Win or lose…I’m giving it my all.”
In a
different area, the World Champion King Wilber Townsend is asked about Sonic
Blade. “PTTFFH. He is nothing more than a commoner who wants
what he can’t have. I am royalty and he
is nothing. You were nothing, you ARE
nothing and you always will be nothing.
Save yourself the embarrassment and don’t even go out to the ring. If you do, I will promise to put you in YOUR
PLACE. Wilber then laughs maniacally.
Match
#7: World Title – King Wilber Townsend
vs Sonic Blade
It’s
time for our MAIN EVENT. Sonic Blade
makes his way down and the fans pop huge for him. He high-fives with the fans and gets into the
ring. Next, we hear royalty music and
the World Champion King Wilber Townsend is brought out by some grunts who are
carrying him on a throne down to the ring.
He steps off the throne and two guys get up and hold the ropes open for
him and he enters the ring. He parades
around the ring with his title held high.
He finally hands off the title, removes his crown and robe and is ready
for this to start. GM Max McGillicutty
comes out and says that this match will have a 45 minute time limit, be no DQ
or countout AND will be a specialty match of Wilber’s preference. Wilber chooses the ‘Double Hell Deathmatch’
option and Sonic looks worried.
