HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2014 - 01.8

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  In this issue, we recap a house show that took place in Portland, WA.

In the first match, El Chango took on Heath Slater.  In a lengthy 18 minute battle, Slater finally gets a rare win after taking down Chango with a lariat.

The next match on the card had Tensai take on King Mo.  Ever since the departure of Mr. Wrestling 4, King Mo has finally gotten some singles action (4 was really cramping his style).  Too bad he didn’t have more singles opportunities before this.  Tensai beat the snot out of King Mo for 12 minutes and finally pinned him after a claw hold STO.

In the back, Sin Cara ran into Ryback.  Sin Cara was jabbering at Ryback in Spanish.  “Listen pipsqueak, I don’t speak freaky deaky EspaNOL” Ryback yelled.  Sin Cara kept jabbering.  “If you got something to say, let’s do it in the ring.”  Master Bull walked up and said that he understood Spanish and that Sin Cara wanted “Cryback” to put his career on the line.  Ryback agreed if Cara would do the same.  Master Bull asked and Sin Cara agreed.  Master Bull said this would be our main event of the evening.

Next out was Kofi Kingston taking on Santino Marella.   In 23 minutes, Santino gets the upset win after nailing a leg-feed enzuiguri.

In tag team action, the Uso’s took on the Colons.  No matter what the Uso’s did (including beating the tar out of their opponents), the Colon’s would not give up.  Primo and Epico hung in there and carried the match to the 30 minute time limit.

Back to singles action, the next match is a “Battle of the Mike’s” with Mike Bennett taking on Mike “the Axe” Medley.  In 6 minutes, Medley gets the win after nearly taking off Bennett’s head with an Axe.

Next on the card has Roderick Strong taking on Zack Ryder.  In 12 minutes, Ryder gets the win after hitting a headbutt to the arm of Strong….ok.

Before the next match could start, out comes the 6-man Tag Team Champions Prestige Inc with the Diva Champion Ravishing Raquel.  Reid started off on the mic “The day is not complete without a visit from YOUR 6 man tag team champions Prestige Inc and the Elitist Champion…Me.  Standing at my side are the best partners any man can ask for.  King Damian and Magnus.  And of course, the gorgeous Ravishing Raquel.”  King Damian took the mic next.  “Thank you Reid.  You truly exemplify the term Elite.  We are honored to be joined by the Diva’s Champion.  2014 will be a stellar year for Prestige Inc.  Reid has the Elitist title, Raquel is the Diva’s Champion and Magnus and I co-hold the 6 man titles.  We are putting the world on notice that Magnus and I are looking at the World tag team titles too.”  Magnus then takes the mic.  “In addition to the tag titles, his Royalness and I will also be working our way into singles competition.  We are putting the CSWA on notice.  No title will be safe.  It doesn’t matter if you’re a world champion, intercontinental or North American.  We are gunning for you.  You had better be ready for us.”  Ravishing Raquel then took the mic. “I am the DIVA’s champion.  There is no greater championship.  Master Bull wants me to defend this title and I will.  Anyone who thought I was dominant as the Women’s champion, stand back and prepare to be amazed.  All of us in Prestige Inc. promise that you will see us throughout the year no matter what.  You’re Welcome.”  The team went to the back to open up time for our main event.

In the main event, Ryback took on Sin Cara with the loser having to retire.  Sin Cara came out first and was acting extremely cocky.  Ryback came out and Cara jumped out of the ring.  The fans began to boo Cara and he actually threatened to leave the ring if they didn’t stop.  The bell rang but Cara refused to get in the ring.  He started jaw-jacking with a fan at ringside and Ryback hit Cara and threw him into the ring.  Cara tried to beg off Ryback but the monster would not let up.  For the first 15 minutes, Cara buzzed around the ring and stayed toe to toe with Ryback.  After that, he started to lose some of his wind and Ryback, who was holding back, opened the floodgates.  For the next 12 minutes, Ryback beat Cara down keeping him grounded.  At the 27 minute mark, Ryback hits a powerslam and gets the pin.  Sin Cara is now out.

The final vignette airs staring Senor Vampiro:

Pai Mai takes Brian to the set of the Expendables 3 which just so happens to be filmed partially in Brian’s hometown of Phoenix, AZ.  While there, Senior Vampiro receives 3 days of MMA style training from none other than Randy Couture.  As part of the conditioning, Couture also has Brian run through a freezer where he boxes slabs of meat.  After the 3 days of training, Couture introduces Brian to Sylvester Stallone.  Stallone comments that Brian is looking good after his training.  He says it reminds him of a character Sly did in the past – maybe he knows him – Rocky Balboa.  He says Brian is inspiring the same way Rocky did.  Brian fills with much confidence.  Pai Mei then brings Brian back to the mean streets of Philadelphia, PA…to the same steps that Rocky climbed.  Pai Mei nods and Brian dashes up the stairs (Rocky theme music playing in the background).  Senior Vampiro sprints up the stairs and as he reaches the top, he jumps in the air pumping his fists.  He turns around and sees a statue…of himself.  He’s taken aback momentarily and then is grinning ear to ear.

Fade Out

Fade In

Pai Mei calls in Senior Vampiro for one last meeting.  Pai Mei begins: “I have waiting until you were ready to reveal what you finally need to know.  My last student did not honor the proper ways of training and actually took on Corporate sponsors.  This person did everything wrong and spit in the face of the old ways.  That man then proceeded to break Pai Mei’s leg with a long-lost forbidden move – the 5 point exploding chop.”  Brian vows to hunt this individual down and deal with him.  Brian asks who this scumbag is and Pai Mei, looking all sad, says “You already know.  In fact, he is the reason you are here.  It…it was…soap…poisoning.  Sorry, I drifted off there for a moment.  It was, in fact, EL CHANGO!

Brian replies “I will go up to him and I will say to him “Hello.  My name is Senor Vampiro.  You tormented my mentor.  Prepare to die...or at least suffer.”  The camera begins to fade but then only centers on Brian.  There is a faint glow behind him and he starts into an almost like trance:

And Shepherds we shall be For thee, my Lord, for thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand Our feet may swiftly carry out Thy commands. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomeni Patri Et Fili Spiritus Sancti.

 Fade out

Well, that is all for now.  It does sound like Senior Vampiro will be making his appearance again in February.  Stay tuned.  More to come.

HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2014 - 01.7

Hello fans.  Welcome back to our newsletter.  In this issue we recap some of the matches that took place at our house show in Tacoma, WA.

In the first match, Great Khali took on Jack Swagger.  In just 2 short minutes, the real American Jack Swagger submits after Khali locked him in a relentless backbreaker.  After the match, Swagger was booed out of the arena.

In the second match, Alicia Fox took on Velvet Sky.  In 12 minutes, Alicia Fox gets the win after hitting Velvet Sky with a vicious smash to the back of Velvet’s head. After the match, the ref helped Velvet up and she seemed a little disoriented but otherwise ok.

In the back, Master Bull ran into the Shield.  They were gloating how they would run rough shot over the other teams.  Master Bull told Seth Rollins that he had a match against Samoa Joe and needed to go get ready.  Seth walked off.  Master Bull told the other members that they too had a match.  They asked what team they were taking on and destroying next.  Master Bull said “No, I mean the two of you are in a match against each other.  Have fun.”  Reigns and Ambrose yelled at Master Bull as he left but then turned to each other and stared.

The third match had Bully Ray take on Alberto Del Rio.  Del Rio was accompanied by other A-team members Austin Aries and Antonio Cesaro.  A few times in the match, Aries and Cesaro interfered but did not do much damage.  Bully tossed Del Rio onto his partners taking them down.  He then put Del Rio through a table and then threw him back in the ring.  He made the cover and at the 24 minute mark, got the pin.

The fourth match on the card has Samoa Joe taking on Seth Rollins.  In 24 minutes, Samoa Joe gets the win after a devastating kick to Rollins chest put him down for the count.

Following this match, Roman Reigns took on his tag team partner Dean Ambrose.  Both men circled each other for the first minute of the match.  After overwhelming “boring” chants echoed throughout the building, the two finally locked up.  After 6 minutes, Rollins gets the win after taking down Ambrose with clubbing blows.  After the match, Ambrose got in Reigns face but Rollins came down and calmed the situation down.  All the men left together.

In the first of two main events, Mark Henry took on Rey Mysterio Jr.  In 13 minutes, Mark Henry gets the win after plunging Rey into the steel ringpost and then finished him off with a World’s strongest slam.

In the main event, the returning Batista took on Bobby Roode.  In 17 minutes, Batista, after standing on Roode’s throat, nailed a spinebuster for the 1-2-3.

After the last match, a new vignette aired with the further adventures of Senor Vampiro.  We cut to a scene where Brian is seen meditating in the center of the room surrounded by burning incense.    Pai Mei is standing in the corner of the room.

Pai Mei: Fear does not exist in your mind, does it?

Brian: NO, SENSEI!

Pai Mei: Pain does not exist in your body, does it?

Brian: NO, SENSEI!

Pai Mei: Surrender does not exist in your very being, does it?

Brian: NO, SENSEI!

Pai Mei:  Do you want to go and watch the original Star Wars trilogy on Blu-Ray?

Brian:  NO….I mean, sure.  Can we take a break now?  I feel like I’m at peace and can tolerate a whiny Luke Skywalker.

Pai Mei:  Get the popcorn.  I’ll get the skittles.

We then cut to another scene where Senor Vampiro is training with a  masked man.  We’re not sure if it’s the shadows but it looks like his mask is…morphing.  Pai Mei brought Senor Vampiro here in this dark room so that Brian could learn the art of psychology.

Brian:  So, you’re here, in this room to teach me what?

R: None of you seem to understand.  I’m not in here with you.  You’re in there with ME!

Brian:  You stand there hiding behind a mask.

R: No, I hide in plain sight.

Brian:  You’re a g*ddamn lunatic.  Sorry, I shouldn’t have said that.  I appreciate your help. (Brian extends his hand and as soon as R reaches out, Brian yanks off R’s mask)

R: GIVE ME BACK MY FACE!  (Brian throws the mask back to R.  R places his mask back on.  He regains his composure.)

R:  You’ve gotten too soft; too trusting.  Remember: Never compromise; not even in the face of Armageddon.

Pai Mei:  Senor Vampiro, come.  We have another trip to take.

That is all we have for now. Stay tuned as the story of the CSWA and HWF continues.

The evening ended with another updated vignette from Brian aka Senor Vampiro. This time, Pai Mei takes Brian to an open field surrounded by a white fence.“Brian, this will be a test of your stamina. You need to paint the fence; the whole fence…and you have to get it done in less than an hour.”“But Sensei” Brian exclaims “There is no way to get it all done in that amount of time.”Pai Mei replies “Again Senor Vampiro, this is why you fail. You are giving up before ever getting started.Let me show you something.”He pulls out 3 empty bottles and proceeds to karate-chop the tops off the bottles.“How did you do that? How did you do that?” Brian yelped in surprise.Pai Mei replies “Don’t know.First time it actually worked.”“Ok, I see your point.Do you mind if I ask you some questions?”Pai Mei said “Shoot.”

Brian: You ever get into fights when you were a kid?
Pai Mei: Hmm - plenty.
Brian: Yeah, but it wasn't like the problem I have, right?
Pai Mei: Why? Fighting is fighting. No difference.
Brian: Yeah, but you knew karate.
Pai Mei: Someone always knows more.
Brian: You mean there were times when you were scared to fight?
Pai Mei: Fear always lingers. I never cared for fighting.
Brian: Yeah, but you like karate.
Pai Mei: So?
Brian: So, karate's fighting. You train to fight.
Pai Mei: Is that what you think?
Brian: [pondering] No.
Pai Mei: Then why bother to train?
Brian: [thinks] So I won't have to fight.
Pai Mei: [laughs] There is hope for you after all. Now, those fences won’t paint themselves.Get busy.
Brian: Wax on, wax off right Sensei?
Pai Mei just stood there shaking his head.

The camera fades out.

Thanks for reading. We’ll have more on the saga of Senor Vampiro to come as well as another house show.Stay Tuned.

The same will go for her husband “The Elitist” Reid Rothchild.
Finally, the results of the 6 man tourney. The teams involved include the Shield, 3MB, the A-team and Casey Jones, Mike “the Axe”Medley and their mystery partner. Prestige Inc, the current 6 man tag team champions, came down to ringside to scout the match.

Round 1:
The Shield defeats 3MB
The A-team comes out first followed by their challengers. Medley and Casey come out first and introduce their partner. It was none other than Bran-Don-Goh. The match goes a quick 12 minutes with the newly formed team known as “Hardly Predictable”. HP gets the win after Casey debilitates Aries with a devastating chop.

Final Round:
In 26 minutes, Hardly Predictable get the win over the Shield after Bran-Don-Goh takes out Seth Rollins with a Leapfrog body guillotine. HP are the #1 contenders for Prestige Inc.’s titles.

Another vignette is shown with Senor Vampiro training hard. We go to a field where Pai Mei is dressed as an Army Sargent and he has Senor Vampiro running a gauntlet very similar to those seen in basic training. In fact, for all those old-schoolers who read our newsletter, it was a lot like the training that Sgt. Slaughter had Greg Gagne go through at Camp Slaughter to prepare him for battle. Since we don’t have a link to the Pai Mei training, we’ll do one better and give you one from the Slaughter/Gagne training: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vgRq9oZ0hxk

That is all for now. Stay tuned as our house shows will be starting up and the action will begin once again.

A vignette runs with Brian and Pai Mei. Brian now looks like death warmed over. It appears Pai Mei has finally broken Brian down. “I can’t do it. I can’t handle it anymore”Brian exclaims. Pai Mei answers “That is why you fail.” (again, go back and do it in Yoda’s voice). Camera fades out.

Dawn returns the following morning and there is something about Brian. He looks different…wait…he has hair on his head (he was bald when he started this). He approaches Pai Mei. “Master, is Darth Vader my father?” Pai Mei laughs. “That my young padawan is what I’ve been waiting for. You have hit bottom and now, you and I will rule the galaxy together as FATHER AND SON.” Both men stop and then begin laughing uncontrollably. After a minute, Pai Mei gathers himself. “Brian, it is time for you to take a new name as you embark on this new path. Gone is Bodacious Brian. What will you call yourself?” Brian thinks long and hard and replies “The bartender, when I first came in before I met you called me ‘Senor Vampiro’. I want to use that name.” Pai Mei answers “So shall it be written, so shall it be done. Come…we have much to do.” They leave Pai Mei’s house but not before Brian turns to the camera, winks and gives the double thumbs up.

It will be interesting to see Brian’s transformation from Superfan to announcer and now to a wrester.

That is all for now. Our next issue will have the tournament to determine the tag team rankings, the 6 man tag team rankings and the Women’s Champion.
