Hello fans and welcome to the final house show before our PPV - House of Horrors – taking place this weekend. The in-person event is sold out but you can still buy the event on PPV and tune in from the comfort of your own home. On the card tonight, we have our final Elimination Chamber qualifying match with Texas Wildfire taking on Dash Woodbrick. The Six Man titles are on the line as Wilber Townsend, Talon McFrost and Otto Ruthless take on Wilber’s former ‘family’ the Huber Clan. World Champion Scooter J and his tag team partner TNT have issued a challenge to Jack Lumber to find a tag team partner to meet them in the ring tonight. Madman Mason officially puts the title on the line in the ring vs Phat Sol. Col. Flagg takes on ‘Luke Warm’ Lucas Johnston. Lastly, the 4 women taking part in the PPV Fatal Four Way all meet in a preview to that show. With that out of the way, let’s get the party started.
Pyro goes off to
kick off today’s show. First, ‘Luke
Warm’ Lucas Johnston comes out to a, well, luke-warm reception from the
crowd. He gets into the ring and waits
for his opponent. The music changes and
we hear “AHHH-TENNNN-SHUNNNN MAGGOTS” and out comes Col. Samuel Flagg to
massive booing from the crowd. He flips
them off as he makes his way to the ring.
Flagg attacks Johnston to pre-emptively start the match. He controlled the pace until Lucas began
battling back. At the 10 minute mark, Flagg pulled Lucas out of the ring and
then hit a piledriver on the floor. He
rolled back in and the ref began his count.
Upon reaching 10, he called the match awarding the win to Col. Flagg via
countout. Flagg showboated around the
ring until familiar music hit and out comes….HOLY COW…It’s Buzz Steel! Buzz rushes down to the ring and starts
peppering Flagg with lefts and rights (for those who may not remember, Flagg
put Buzz on the shelf since July). Buzz nails Flagg with the Buzz Cut and Flagg
rolls out of the ring. Buzz gets a mic
and challenges Flagg to a match at the PPV.
Flagg immediately accepts saying he put Buzz on the shelf once and the
next time, it will be permanent. Buzz
welcomes him to try. Looks like we got
ourselves another match for this weekend’s card. (10 min for the match; 5 for the aftermath)
We head backstage
where Madman Mason and Phat Sol have begun slugging it out. They fought all over the back and then
finally brought the action to the ring.
The match went a good solid 15 minutes and came to an end when Mason
dropped Phat with an overhead belly to belly suplex. Mason gets the win. Just then, the loudspeakers blared out
“APOLLO GYZE DON’T APOLOGIZE” and a confused Mason looks around. He kept an eye on the ramp so he didn’t see
Apollo sneak in from behind and hit Mason with a spin out powerbomb. He motioned for the ref to start the
match. Apollo then planted Mason with a
running boot to the chest. Apollo
rolled him up and with a handful of tights, he gets the 1-2-3. Apollo has just become the Anytime/Anywhere
champion. He grabbed the belt, held it
high as the fans booed and then took off before Mason could recover. Mason was not happy and slunk off. (15 min for the first match; 3 for the
second)
Backstage, Dash
Woodbrick is complaining to GM Maxine DeVito.
“Master Bull keeps sticking his nose in my business. I’ll tell you this…once I have him by the end
of that dog collar and chain, I’m going to beat him silly.” Maxine smiles. “Dash, if you can pull that off, there may be
a nice bonus in it for you.” Dash
inquires “Like to the tune of $4 Million dollars?” Maxine looks at him weird. “Maybe take a few zeros off that. Just get the job done and we’ll talk.” Dash straightens up and walks out. Maxine gets a wicked smile on her face. “One down and one to go” she mumbles.
(At this point, my
computer locked up and I lost the following two matches. Here is what transpired):
Texas Wildfire
defeated Dash Woodbrick to move on to the Elimination Chamber. After the match, Master Bull, who had been
sitting at ringside, entered the ring and began swinging the dog collar chain
around. Dash bolted out of the ring
cursing at Bull.
Backstage interaction
between Scooter J and TNT and Jack Lumber.
Lumber introduces the Masked Banana saying the Flannelnanas are
back. SJ tries to sew discord between
the two friends as both will be heading to the chamber.
The match between
World champion Scooter J and his partner TNT vs Jack Lumber and the Masked
Banana ended in a draw finish. After the
match, SJ and TNT grabbed chairs. They
were joined by the Banker. Before an
attack could happen, Rad Gumbo and Texas Wildfire also came out to even up the
odds. Eventually the chairs were dropped
and everyone went their separate ways.
(I was a bit
peeved that autosave didn’t kick in but it is what it is…back to our action.)
We head backstage
with Ladies Champion Catalina Harper and Sassy Maxine DeVito. Catalina complains about being in the match
tonight and then having to defend her title in just a few short days. Maxine tells her she has it under
control. “Trust me” Maxine says. Catalina walks off.
We’re ready for
our next match. One by one, Korbi Kong,
Hayley Hailstorm, Violet Valkyrie and Ladies Champion Catalina Harper all made
their way out. Just before the match
could begin, out comes Maxine dressed like a ref. She orders the one in the ring to leave and
says she will be refereeing this match to make sure it’s on the up and up. Hayley, Violet and Korbi all give Maxine a
weary look before heading to their corner.
This was an interesting one.
Catalina took Korbi out early making it two on one (instead of 3). Catalina kept Hayley pretty much grounded but
it was Violet who dominated the match.
Once Korbi came back, she and Violet had a stare down before both being
sent to the outside by Catalina. Hayley
then took it to the champ but Catalina was sneaky and managed to stay one step
ahead of her challenger. Violet makes
the hot tag allowing Hayley a much needed break. Violet went for an exploder suplex but
Catalina nullified it and then threw Violet into her corner crashing into Korbi
who fell off the apron. Catalina then
hit Violet with the Cat’s Meow and Maxine made a fast 1-2-3 count awarding the
match to Catalina Harper. Korbi was
pissed slamming her hands on the ring apron.
She grabbed a chair and slid into the ring chasing both the Ladies
Champion and her crooked referee from the ring.
Korbi motioned like she was going to take the title. Violet joined her but corrected her stating
that she was going to take the title.
Hayley then joined in and stated she was going to win. Catalina and Maxine walked and laughed as the
three other ladies argued in the ring.
(18 min)
Backstage, the Six
Man Tag Team Champions Wilber Townsend, Otto Ruthless and Talon McFrost
approach the Hubers. Wilber reminds them
that they are all kin and tells them to do the right thing and lay down for
them. Junior tells Wilber he doesn’t
control them anymore and says that if Wilber and his cronies can defeat the
Clan, that’s when they will prove they are superior…and not before. The Hubers head to the ring. Wilber tells his team he has a plan.
It’s time for our
main event. First, the Hubers (Butch,
Ferb and Junior Huber) comes out to mild booing from the crowd. When it was the Champions turn to come out,
the lights go dark. A single lantern
lights the ramp as Wilber and his team head to the ring. Wilber is wearing his creepy Pennywise the
clown mask. As they approach the ring, the
lights slowly come up. The champs enter
the ring with Wilber staring daggers at his kin. The match was fairly even; even with Wilber
having been taken out by Junior Huber.
Talon and Otto held their own until their leader recovered. Wilber, very unhappy with the situation, went
to the lantern and removed some still glowing embers. As Otto distracted the ref, Wilber blew the
embers into Junior’s eyes blinding him allowing Talon to hit Junior with a big
boot and back body drop. Talon made the
cover getting the 3 count. Wilber, Otto
and Talon win the match and retain their titles. Ferb and Butch helped their brother to the
back. As the cameras stopped rolling,
the champs were showboating in the ring.
Junior Huber then came back out; his eyes all red. He demanded a one on one match right now
with Wilber. Wilber asked if that’s what
he really wanted and Junior replied with a bellowing YES. Otto and Talon left the ring.
Special treat for
fans in attendance only – Dark match (means it’s not televised).
Wilber dominated
Junior but whatever he threw at the big man, he could not keep him down. He hit Junior a few times with the GTS but
Junior kept kicking out. Junior got in a
couple of lucky shots including the Mountain Man Cutter and “these hands”
(flying fists). In the end, Wilber’s
cunning and deviousness took him to victory after he rammed Junior’s head into
the steel post and then rolled him up for the 3 count. Wilber scores the win and then leaves without
further incident. Junior, who now has a
thin trail of blood coming from his head where he hit the steel post, leaves
under his own power but it doesn’t seem like anything was solved between the
family members tonight.
