HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2017 #578

Hello fans and welcome back to the latest installment of our newsletter.  On tonight’s show, Dr. Red Fang appears in a non-title match, King Wilber and Sonic Blade have their final showdown…all this and more so let’s get this party started.

Jerry Saunders makes his way to the ring for our first match.  Music hits and over the loudspeakers blares “VAMPIRE LUNGES FOR EVERYONE” and out comes the evil vampire (or so he thinks he is) Dr. Red Fang accompanied by his manager “The People’s Pain” (in the ass) Ant Graham.  Fang hits the ring and attacks Saunders starting the match immediately.  Saunders attempted to put up a fight but was no match for Fang and Graham.  Saunders managed to hit a frankensteiner but then Ant verbally antagonized him.  Fang swept back in dropping Jerry with a Vampire Lunge and made the cover to get the 1-2-3.  Dr. Red Fang and Ant Graham stood with their arms raised and Fang screaming “VAMPIRE LUNGES FOR EVERYONE!” before finally being forced to leave the ring.  (16 min)

Backstage, Figaroa “Figgy” Newton announces his new team will be here at the next show.  However, he has been trying to teach Taylor about the finer art of “Being” in the ring and tells her that if she just listens to what he has to say, she will have gold in her future.  Taylor finally relents and says she will heed what he has to say.

We head back to the ring for our next match.  Jesse California comes out to a mixed reaction from the crowd.  Next, familiar music hits and out comes Phat Sol!  The Phat Man has returned!  He gets a decent pop from the crowd and makes his way down to the ring.  Jesse tries to take the low road by attacked the Phat-Man and it took a while for Phat to shake off the ring rust but then he really gave Jesse a run for his money.  Jesse kept throwing Phat out of the ring but he always made it back in time.  We noticed that time was running out fast so Jesse went for the famouser leg drop bulldog but Phat stopped it and hit the Phat’s Enough.  He went for the cover but Jesse kicked out at one and then the bell rang signaling a draw.  Jesse didn’t see it that way and kept trying to instigate something with Phat but was eventually showed the exit.  Phat celebrated with the fans briefly before leaving (20 min draw)

Back in GM Max McGillicutty’s office, Southern Belle demands her shot at the Ladies Title as the number one contender but Ravishing Raquel barges in and says she wants in too.  The Duchess and El Gato join in and demands a fatal four way match for the next title match.  Max says that will be up next.

One by one, the following women made their way to the ring…El Gato Negro, Ravishing Raquel, the Duchess and finally Southern Belle.  Max follows and states that he will give them 60 minutes to determine who goes on to fight for the Ladies title AND this will be a no DQ match.

This one went on for 52 minutes and El Gato and Southern Belle did a lot of teaming up to take down the Duchess and Ravishing Raquel.  25 minutes in, the Duchess was not having a good go at things so she called down Lady Hermann who hit the ring and took down El Gato, Belle and Raquel with vicious clotheslines.  39 minutes in, Belle and the Duchess collide hard and both fall out of the ring and it appears they are injured.  A few minutes later, both recovered and hit the ring with ferocity.  All four women spent the next 8 minutes beating the hell out of each other.  El Gato caught the Duchess with a Gato leap and went for the cover but Raquel made the save.  She then tossed the Duchess out of the ring.  Raquel goes for a spinning heel kick but El Gato reverses it and hits the Gato Paw.  She made the cover and got the 1-2-3.  El Gato Negro wins the match and is now in line for a title shot at the next show.  Belle was not happy and stormed out.   Raquel walked up to El Gato and said “Better watch your back little kitty cat” and walked off.  El Gato and the Duchess were left and the Duchess nodded to El Gato and then left.  El Gato celebrated with the fans briefly before leaving.

Sonic Blade is in the interview area and he says tonight is make it or break it for him.  He has a lot on the line tonight and will give it 100% but Wilber is crafty and has the Huber Clan backing him up.  He may not have a gang to watch his back but he has the fans and they will help him achieve victory.

It is time for the main event.  First, Sonic Blade makes his way out to a HUGE pop from the crowd.  He begins to loosen up as King Wilber comes out to a very negative reaction from the crowd.  He is accompanied by his kin…the Huber Clan.  They remain at the base of the ramp as Wilber enters the ring.  He smiles and begins to laugh uncontrollably.  Once he calmed down, he asked for a mic.

Even though I have stuck you with all these daggers, Sonic, you are still walking upright. I admire your courage, I really do. These people have chosen you, Sonic. They chose you the same way that you chose them, like a moth gathered to a flame. But I believe that you have forgotten who exactly is controlling this inferno, Mr. Blade. For I am more than just a man; I am a god.”

The bell rings and we are finally underway.  It didn’t take long, in this no DQ match, for the Huber Clan to get in the ring and beat Sonic down.  The fans didn’t let up though and every time Sonic went down, the fans got up and cheered him all the more.  Every time Sonic started to get an offensive run going, the Hubers would jump in and beat him down.  Every time he was beaten down, Sonic would get up and the fans would get louder.  We join the match at the 12 minute mark.

We’re sure there will be more to the Wilber saga as this progresses so stay tuned.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2017 #577

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  Well, we seem to have a stacked card for you today.  A few champions will grace us with their presence but no titles will be on the line.  Pyro goes off and it looks like our first match is ready to get underway.

Talon McFrost comes out first to a mixed reaction from the crowd.  Once in the ring, the Misfits’ music plays and out comes the Fiend to a pop from the crowd.   He enters the ring and the bell sounds almost immediately.  The Fiend and Talon traded control of the match multiple times but the Fiend ended up on the offensive more often and with him connecting with the Last Caress (swinging DDT), he hooked the leg and got the 1-2-3.  The Fiend wins the match but his victory is shortlived as Hardcore Champion Dr. Red Fang ran down.  The Fiend grabbed him as he entered and with the momentum going, hurled him right out of the ring on the other side.  Fang screamed from the outside and the Fiend beckoned for him to come back in but the Doctor had other plans and slunk to the back.  (16 min)

Backstage, King Wilber says he wants his World title shot.  Sonic Blade enters the picture once again and says he has an offer Wilber can’t refuse.  He says he wants two things from Wilber and is willing to put his career on the line.  He wants not only Wilber’s title shot but his crown vs the career of Sonic Blade.  Wilber offers an alternative as he likes having him around.  He’ll put his title shot on the line but instead of Sonic’s career, he wants Sonic to pledge his allegiance to him and join him in his fight if he loses.  Sonic accepts and walks off.

We head back to the ring for our next match.  Wendell Hammerschmidt comes out first to a decent pop from the crowd. Manager MJ comes out next and introduces Red McNulty and sends him to the ring.  Red runs down and attacks Wendell.  Red nails an Irish Sickle but doesn’t go for the pin.  Wendell fights back and connects with a German suplex but Red hurls him out of the ring.  He follows Wendell out and hurls him into the steel steps.  Ensuring Wendell wasn’t getting back up, Red rolled back in and allowed Wendell to get counted out.  Red McNulty gets the win via countout.  (2 min)

A car pulls up and the Duchess exits and says she’s fighting tonight to get her title back.  Duchess promises Starr that her time as champion will not be a lengthy one.

The next match begins with the Smashers making their way out first and they are booed.  Next, the Hollywood Star and ‘the Gold Standard’ Bruce Biltmore come out next.  All four men fight in the ring until the ref breaks things up to get this one properly started.  Bruce and the Star got their licks in but the tag team excellence from the Smashers (even though we hate them) took the match to a new level.  The match was granted a 30 min time limit and the Smashers needed all but 60 seconds to add another tick in the win column after Smasher #2 hit Bruce with a spinning back elbow.  After the match, Smashers 1&2 grabbed the Hollywood Star and nailed him with the Fall of Man through a table (conveniently) set up at ringside.  The fans booed as the Smashers left and suits came out to help Star and Bruce from the ring.  (29 min)

The US champion ‘The Ragin Cajun’ Rad Gumbo shows up and claims a spot on the card tonight but says he didn’t bring his title so this one has to be a non-title match.  He says it doesn’t matter if the belt is on the line or not, he will be the one with his arm raised.

We go back to the right for the next match.  First, Muscles Thorpe comes out wearing rainbow colored bull horns and interacts with the fans on his way down to the ring.  Next, Superquake Ferguson comes out and the fans are mixed about him.  Once both men got in the ring, the bell rang.  Ferguson was in control for roughly 8 minutes but then once Thorpe nailed him with the E-Train Running Bodyblock that sent him flying out of the ring, things changed in favor of Thorpe.  Thorpe peppered Superquake all around the ring and the ring shook violently after Thorpe hit a huge powerslam.  A groggy Ferguson got to his feet and Thorpe climbed to the top turnbuckle and as soon as Ferguson turned around, Thorpe nailed him with the E-Train Body Block.  Thorpe made the cover and got the 3 count.  Thorpe gets the win and then is joined by his teammates McGuire and Weasley.  They goofed around for a few moments then all left.   (21 min)

GM Max McGillicutty is in his office and makes the match between King Wilber and Sonic Blade official for next week’s show.  Either Sonic is back in the World title top 10 or he goes into the service of his majesty.

The next match kicks off with the Duchess making her way down to the ring.  She wastes no time in calling Felicia Cummings out to get this match started and she regretted every second of it.  Felicia came out and wiped the mat with the former Ladies champion and the future was looking very bleak for her.  Sensing her leader was in jeopardy, Court member Lady Hermann ran down and noticed that Felicia’s twin Betsy was going to get involved so she stopped her and beat her silly.  Felicia ran to the aid of her sister and the Duchess then occupied the ref’s attention. Lady Hermann turned and demolished Felicia planting her with a DDT on the floor.  The ref then counted and once he reached 10, he awarded the match and the spot in the top 10 lineup to the Duchess.  Duchess called Lady Hermann into the ring and the two celebrated before leaving. (9 ½ min; Felicia was winning 56 to 17)

We get an unexpected treat when World Champion Texas Wildfire comes out and says that one of our own has been gone for long enough and it’s time for him to return to the ring.  He then introduces former World Champion Drew the Canadian Love Machine.  Drew comes out to a big pop.   He thanks TW for the warm reception.  He says that as the longest reigning (former) champion, he is automatically entitled to a rematch.  He says that at some point he may cash it in but he wants to work back up to where he will be a viable threat to TW’s belt and promises the two will meet again.  They shake hands and then leave.

It is time for our main event.  Billy Robbins makes his way out first and gets into the ring.  Next, over the loud speakers blares “Gumbo 7:30 says it’s suppa time bitch!” and out comes the US Champion ‘The Ragin Cajun’ Rad Gumbo and his manager MJ.  Gumbo climbs the turnbuckles, poses and flaunts his title in Billy’s face.  He hands the title over and the match begins.

We are not sure why Gumbo insisted on a non-title match as he basically wiped the mat with Robbins.  He really didn’t even need MJ’s help as he looked in perfect form for this match.  Billy put up a struggle at times but Rad was always in control.  16 minutes in, Billy got lucky connecting with a flying bodypress.  He tried to do it a second time but MJ choked him in the corner.  Billy must have lost a lot of oxygen as he stumbled into the center of the ring and Rad rolled him up (with a handful of tights) and got the 1-2-3.   Rad Gumbo wins the match.  MJ enters and hands Rad his belt.  MJ raises Rad’s arm and Rad climbs the turnbuckles once again to pose amidst the booing from the crowd.  With that, the show comes to an end.

Stay tuned as there is a lot more coming.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2017 #576

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  Things kick right off with former TV champion ‘Red Hot’ Lucas Johnston going up to the man who defeated him for the TV title Biceps Bannerman calling Bannerman a cheat and demands a rematch for the title.  Bannerman smiles and says “no problem” so I guess there will be a rematch tonight.

Pyro kicks off and our show is ready to go.  Making his way out first is manager Ant Graham and he introduces Mason the Mangler.  Both men are booed as they make their way to the ring.  Next, music changes and the Axe comes out.  People still don’t like him so he gets a mixed reaction since he is taking on a bigger jerk than he is.  Mason started off vicious tearing away at the Axe.  I don’t think the Axe has met anyone this vicious than when he took on Dr. Red Fang.  Mason kept Axe on the defensive until out of nowhere, Axe hit Mason with the Axe.  Ant jumped on the apron yelling at the ref that Axe had something loaded in his taped forearm.  The ref checks and says there’s nothing there but Ant won’t relent.  Ant gets frustrated and pushes the ref causing a disqualification.  The Axe wins this one by DQ.  Ant orders Mason to attack Axe again but Mason ends up hurled over the top rope leaving Ant in the ring with the Axe.  Ant’s eyes go all wide as Axe rushes him and he bails out of the ring faster than a gasoline-fed fire.  Axe gets a little warmer reaction and then heads to the back.  (8 min)

Backstage, the Ladies Champion Starr Vixen is with Larry Morton and she acknowledges the after-match attack by Taylor Bella.  She questions on whether or not Taylor knows when to quit.  She says she may have to teach the “insignificant Bella” a thing or two.

Next, Ravishing Raquel accompanied by Master Bull makes her way to the ring.  She calls out Lexy Flexx challenging her for her spot in the Ladies top 10 line up.  Lexy comes out but has no choice but to accept.  Raquel was in perfect form just dismantling Lexy (Lexy got in only TWO offensive moves during the match) and looked like she was going to win this solidly.  Raquel went to charge Lexy in the corner but Lexy moved and Raquel crashed shoulder first into the steel post.  The second of Lexy’s moves was to lock in the DIS-ARM-HER Fujiwara armbar and Raquel had to tap out.  What a huge upset.  Lexy bolted right out of the ring after being declared the winner.  Master Bull tried to console his angry protégé but she was not in the mood and took off after Lexy.  (8 min)

The Desperados (El Chango & Leon Teremoto) are backstage and challenge the Tag Team Champions the Steel Curtain to a non-title match.  However, if they win, they want a shot at the gold.

We head back to the ring for our next match.  Otto Ruthless comes out first and he looks to be in a nasty mood. Music changes and the crowd pops for the Crocodile Hunter.  Croc slaps the fan’s hands as he makes his way around the ring.  Otto doesn’t want to wait and attacks Croc throwing him into the ring.  The ref announces the time limit will be 30 minutes instead of 20 since the previous matches were short.  For 8 minutes, the two went toe to toe but after tossing Otto out of the ring where he barely beat the count to get back in the ring, things swung in Croc’s favor.  Otto managed to keep up with Croc but Croc owned the match.  Croc tried to hobble Otto after locking in an ankle lock but Otto refused to tap.   Otto came back with driving elbows but Croc kicked him in the gut and then rolled him up for a 1-2-3.  Crocodile Hunter is victorious and gets another tick in the win column.  (26 min)

The Tag Team Champs the Steel Curtain (Buzz and Starbuck Steel) say that they’ll give the Desperate-ados their match and once they defeat them, the Desperados won’t ever see a title shot again.

‘Red Hot’ Lucas Johnston comes out first for his rematch for the TV title.  This guy is still ‘red hot’ in terms of responsiveness from the fans.  Next, booing ensues as the TV Champion Biceps Bannerman comes out and holds the TV title over his head.  He points to Lucas and then drags his thumb across his throat.  Biceps gets in the ring and we don’t have long to wait till this one got started.  Lucas went toe to toe with the big man but got frustrated after Biceps kept throwing him out of the ring.  The final time he got tossed, he pulled Biceps out with him and the two brawled.  Biceps hit Lucas with a huge powerslam on the floor and then hit a big splash.  He rolled back in and there was no way Lucas was getting up from that so he got counted out.  Biceps Bannerman retains his title via countout decision.  (10 min)  Medics from the back came out and helped Lucas to the back who was able to do most of the walk under his own power.

Backstage, Master Bull is with Prestige Inc. (Superstar Chic Monroe, TNT and Bishop Ripley).  Bull says that the Hubers tried to jump his team but Prestige Inc. still has the belts and they will retain once this match ends.  One thing to note is that TNT was kept in the back during the interview.

The Desperados music plays and they make their way out to the ring to a decent reaction from the crowd.  Next, the Steel Curtain’s music plays and the fans seemed to have soured more on the tag champs.  Starbuck and Buzz just ignored them as they made their way into the ring.  Leon and El Chango beat the crap out of the tag champs and they got worried early.  Starbuck would try to choke El Chango on the ropes while Buzz would attack Leon (not as the legal man in the action).  15 minutes into the match, Buzz and Starbuck hit Leon with a 2 man powerbomb through the announcers table (Holy Shit chants rang throughout but that was quickly followed by booing from the fans).  Starbuck grabbed a chair and threw it in to the ring.  Buzz picked it up only to throw it to El Chango who caught it.  Buzz then dropped to the mat and as the ref got back in the ring (he was checking on Leon), he saw El Chango with the chair and immediately disqualified them.  The Steel Curtain steal a win…those bastards!  The Curtain’s victory was short lived though as GM Max McGillicutty came out and said that although he can’t reverse the referee’s decision, he is still going to grant the Desperados a title shot.  The Curtain were livid.  They looked like they were going to go after El Chango but he was still holding the chair and he chased the Curtain from the ring.  He then went to check on Leon who, with some help, managed to walk to the back.  The crowd fully popped for the Desperados.  (15 ½ min)

Max is back in his office and the Steel Curtain practically kick the door down.  Buzz says that Max is out to screw them over at any turn they can get.  Max says the Steel Curtain are out of control and orders them to leave before he calls security and has them escorted from the building.  Buzz and Starbuck storm out.

It is time for our main event.  The Huber Clan (Ferb, Butch and Junior).  They get a so-so reaction from the crowd.  Next, Master Bull comes out with the 6 Man Champions Prestige Inc.   Bull leads TNT, Bishop Ripley and Superstar Chic Monroe down to the ring.  Bull says he has a surprise for the world when he picks up a sledgehammer and DESTROYS the trophy.  He laughs and then opens a bag he’d been carrying to the ring.  It appears Master Bull had title belts created and he hands one to each member of the team.  They pose briefly with them before handing them over to the ref.  Chic started off against Butch and hit him with a spinning side slam and went for the cover only to get a 1 count.  Ferb is tagged in and he and Butch double team Chic.  Ferb rattles Chic’s teeth with a European uppercut followed by a catapult hangman and a cover but Chic kicked right out.  The Clan all hit the ring with both TNT and Bishop knocked from the ring.  Butch hit a catapult hangman but Chic nailed him with a cradle facebuster. He tried to make a cover but Junior and Ferb broke it up.  Ferb hit a superkick and then Junior picked up Chic and hurled him over the top rope and onto his teammates.  Bull ran over and told them they’d had enough and they grabbed their titles and started to walk away.  Prestige Inc. ends up getting counted out so the Huber Clan wins the match but not the titles.  They tried to call Prestige back to the ring but Bull managed to get his team out of there.

The show comes to an end with Prestige Inc. looking at the Hubers in the ring and them staring daggers back at them.

Stay tuned for more action.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2017 #575 - SUPERSHOW

Hello fans and welcome to our 575th issue.  We have a stacked card today with 2 title matches on the line.  Both the Ladies title and World title will be on the line with our main event taking place within the confines of a steel cage.

Kicking off the show is a challenge for a future shot at the World title.  First, Sonic Blade comes out to a huge pop from the crowd.  Next, the man that cost him his spot in the lineup is King Wilber Townsend.  Wilber comes out on his own having forsaken the ride in his throne.  He wants this match just as bad as Sonic does.

For the first 10 minutes of the match, Sonic took the fight to Wilber who struggled just to keep up with him.  Sonic then got tossed out of the ring.  Wilber followed him out and then rammed his back into the steel post 3 times. Sonic looks to be hurt.  Wilber rolls back in but somehow Sonic also makes it back in before the 10 count.  Wilber is astonished.  Wilber then went on an offensive run that saw Sonic hit 2 offensive moves in the following 8 minutes.  With the backing of the fans, Sonic started to battle back and even hit Wilber with the Alhambra Attack (tackle) but could not make the cover.  Sonic went for a Brazilian Press (Lou Thesz) but Wilber held on and dumped Sonic out of the ring again.  Wilber threw Sonic into the steel steps and then dragged him back in.  He then delivered hammering blows to Sonic’s back.  Wilber then made the quick cover and got the 1-2-3.  King Wilber retains his title shot and now Sonic is out of any future title matches.  Wilber begins to cackle and laugh but Sonic hits him with the Alhambra Attack that sent his royalness flying out of the ring.  (23 min)

Backstage, Larry Morton is with the Super Shockmaster.  SS says that he will utterly destroy Adam Jameson in this match and then he can put this feud to rest.  SS says that he never received the rematch he was due for the US title so that will be next on his list.

Adam Jameson is backstage with Clarkus Kentus and AJ says that he is absolutely tired of the Super Shockmaster running ruckshot over the roster including him.  Tonight, this ends their feud and this time he promises to be the one standing at the end.

Our next match is ready to begin.  The Super Shockmaster makes his way out first in his glitter-covered Stormtrooper helmet.  He cackles and laughs as he makes his way into the ring.  Next, Adam Jameson comes out to a nice pop from the crowd.  He wastes no time and gets in the ring immediately.  The ref reminds us that this will be a Phoenix death match rules and the only way someone can win is on a pin attempt.  Adam owned SS in this match.  AJ kept SS off his feet with the Adam Bomb and the Adam’s Clash.  Just as Adam was setting up SS for a smack with a 2x4, SS threw salt in AJ’s eyes blinding him.  SS then connected with a power headbutt from the top rope.  He made the cover and got the 1-2-3.  Super Shockmaster gets the win much to the disappointment of the fans.  SS stands and cackles and mocks the crowd.  He doesn’t see AJ get to his feet.  AJ turns him around nailing the Adam’s Clash.  Adam then went and removed SS’s helmet.  The guy underneath was wearing a cloth mask over his head so his face was not revealed.  He did roll out of the ring and take off to the back in a hurry.  Adam may have lost this war but at least he walked out with a trophy. (10 min)

We head to the back again and ScooterJ is with Clarkus Kentus.  ScooterJ tells Clarkus that with all the crap he had to put up with against Prestige Inc., he finally gets the nod from the championship committee (actually just GM Max McGillicutty) for a shot at the world title.  ScooterJ addresses Texas Wildfire and tells him that he is not the Stache; he is not Drew the Canadian Love Machine…he is ScooterJ and he will be walking out the World Champion tonight.

Back with Larry Morton is the World Champion Texas Wildfire.  TW says that ScooterJ is right; he has not faced anyone like him but then again, neither has ScooterJ.  TW says that the fans are on his side and after their match, he walks out with his title intact.

We head back to the ring for our next match.  The challenger ScooterJ comes out first to a mixed reaction from the crowd.  Next, the World Champion’s music hits and out comes Texas Wildfire to a huge pop from the crowd.  TW gets in the ring and he and ScooterJ stare eye to eye.  TW extends his hand but ScooterJ does not shake it.  TW owns the match and try as he could, ScooterJ could not keep up with him.  About 12 minutes in, Prestige Inc. members TNT, Chic Monroe and Bishop Ripley came out with Master Bull.  Bull directed TNT to do something but he seemed reluctant to do it.  Bull had to yell at him to get him moving.  Chic distracted the ref long enough for TNT to jump in the ring, look at Bull and then hit ScooterJ with a massive clothesline.  Instead of inflicting more punishment, he left the ring.  ScooterJ eventually made it back to his feet but TW also recovered and hit a snap powerslam.  The ref (no longer distracted) counted 1…2…3.  Texas Wildfire is victorious and retains his title.  Prestige Inc. then storm the ring dumping TW out of the ring and went on to attack ScooterJ.  Wendell Hammmerschmidt ran down with a chair and cleared Prestige Inc. from the ring.  GM Max McGillicutty comes out and says he’s tired of Master Bull and Prestige Inc. interfering in matches so he’s making a six man match right now…TW, ScooterJ and Wendell vs Prestige Inc. and that is happening now!

ScooterJ started off against Bishop Ripley as immediately got double teamed.  TNT joined Bishop and hit ScooterJ with the TNT.  He then left the ring.  Bishop hurled ScooterJ out of the ring.  TW and Wildfire jumped in the ring to fight with Chic and Bishop.  TNT ran to where ScooterJ was but was in for a shock when ScooterJ surprised him with a spear that sent them both through the ringside barrier.  Just then, the Huber Clan ran down and attacked Prestige Inc. and the bell was rung ending this in a disqualification against the team of TW, Wendell and ScooterJ.  The Hubers were eventually chased off after TNT recovered and went after them.  ScooterJ then joined TW and Wendell in the ring and he once again had a staredown with the world champion.  He then extended his hand to the champ who shook it.  The fans pop as the three celebrate a few moments before leaving.

Backstage, Figaroa “Figgy” Newton is with Taylor Bella and Larry Morton.  Figgy says that in two weeks, he’ll have a team that will defeat all teams but for now, it is Taylor’s night and he motions to her.   Taylor says that the only reason Starr is the Ladies Champion is because of luck…not skill.  You want to see skill, you’re looking at her. Figgy nods and laughs.  Taylor says tonight is her night and she becomes the champion whether Starr likes it or not.  Taylor then looks at the camera and says “Oh, and hey sis, congrats and Thanks…NOT…for inviting me to see the baby.  She then storms off and Figgy follows.

The Ladies Champion Starr Vixen is with Clarkus Kentus and she says that Taylor has some issues.  Nevertheless, tonight is her night when she becomes a defending champion.  Taylor can bring in all her sisters but none of that will help her after she’s flat out on the mat counting the ceiling lights for 3 seconds.

It’s time for the next match.  Taylor Bella comes out to a mixed reaction from the crowd accompanied by her manager Figgy Newton.  Figgy points to one fan’s sign that says “Starr’s the real champ” and Figgy tells him to hold onto it as it will be a collector’s item once Taylor defeats her for the title.  He laughs and heads to the ring.  Next, the Ladies Champion Starr Vixen comes out to a huge pop from the crowd.  Starr takes her time interacting with the fans and an impatient Taylor paces in the ring hollering for her to get in there.  Taylor went on the attack and held the advantage over Starr for the entire match.  Starr didn’t seem prepared for the ferocity that Taylor brought.  9 minutes in, Taylor hit Starr with the sitout facebuster.  Figgy hollered to go for the pin but Taylor shook her head no.  She wanted to hit her move again.  Taylor set Starr up and was ready to hit the move but Starr weaseled out of it and locked in a scissored armbar right in the middle of the ring.  Taylor, caught off guard, had no choice but to tap out.  Starr Vixen retains her belt and holds it high but Taylor attacks her from behind and drops her again with a Sitout Facebuster.  She screams and kicks the bottom rope and then leaves with Figgy in tow.   Starr recovers and takes her title and leaves as the fans pop for her.  (10 min)

The ring crew begin assembling the Steel Cage for our main event.

Backstage, Magnum Kone is with Larry Morton.  He tells Larry that Pete is a lost soul who needs to be put away for his own good.  He doesn’t condone this normally but Pete is just one of those who doesn’t understand the meaning of control and although he can handle what Pete can dish out, someone else may not so it is up to him right here…right now…to rid HCW of Pete the PUN-isher and all his insanely bad puns.

Pete the PUN-isher is backstage with Clarkus Kentus.  Pete asks Clarkus “Do you know when a clock is hungry?  It goes back four seconds.”  Ha ha.  “Here’s another one.  Your calendar days are numbered”.  HAHA.  “Wait, here is the best one.  If Iron Man and the Silver Surfer ever team up, they’d be alloys”. HAHHAHA.  “Greatest Puns in history aside, Magnum, you call me unstable you Good Humor reject?  You are the one who dresses like he should be in a loony bin and after I beat your ass in the cage that is where you’ll need to go to recover your sanity.  PUNS FOREVER!”

From the loudspeakers blares “8:13 and it’s time for dessert” and out comes Magnum Kone to a huge pop from the crowd.  He is pushing the ice cream cart and he empties it giving all the goodies to the kids and fans at ringside.  He makes his way in the cage and begins to warm up.  Next “PUNS FOREVER” blares and out comes the PUN-isher.  Pete Punsher makes his way down and seeing a fan enjoying their ice cream, he forcibly grabs it and smashes in on the ground.  He motions to Magnum that is what he’ll do to him.  Pete enters the cage and the door is locked.  For 19 minutes, these two beat the holy hell out of each other not giving an inch.  Pete tried to use brass knuckles on Magnum early but he got them off of Pete’s fist and ended up in the corner.  Magnum went for only one pin attempt during this time after hitting the Push Pop but Pete kicked out.  Pete then dragged Magnum’s face across the cage drawing blood but that didn’t stop the King of Cones.  We join the match now at the 19 min mark.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2017 #574

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  We have a great show for you tonight with the Steel Curtain taking on the Ryzing Storm in a non-title match; Ivan Dragovich takes on King Wilber Townsend; The Court (the Duchess and Lady Hermann) take on the twins Felicia & Betsy Cummings; Lucas Johnston defends the TV title in the main event and quite a few announcements so let’s get this show on the road.

The show kicks off with Adam Jameson and Billy Robbins coming out first to a pop from the crowd.  AJ looks around cautiously watching for that scumbag Super Shockmaster.  SS has been relentless in attacking AJ and he needs to keep his guard up.  Their opponents the Desperados (El Chango and Leon Teremoto) come out next and they are booed.  This match is for Billy and AJ’s spot in the tag team lineup.  El Chango goes right on the offensive on Billy Robbins.  Super Shockmaster snuck in from the crowd and attacked AJ and dragged him into the audience.  Billy was on his own.  Quick double teaming from the Desperados kept Billy on the defensive.  Finally, Billy looked to get a move in when he mounted the top rope trying to hit a moonsault.  Leon ran over and pushed him down just as El Chango climbed to the top rope and hit a shooting star press.  He made the cover and got the easy 1-2-3.  (4 min)  The Desperados pose mockingly in the ring before leaving.

Backstage, GM Max McGillicutty said that this ‘thing’ between Super Shockmaster and Adam Jameson has run its course and is time for it to end.  Max says he’s adding a match between the two to the next show and it will have a special stipulation that will be revealed only then.

Next up, Otto Ruthless comes out to the ring first and he is booed but he doesn’t care.  Next, Prestige Inc. member Bishop Ripley and his manager Master Bull come out and the booing for them is even louder.  The two began slugging out and continued that way for about 8 minutes.  After heading out of the ring for a breather, Bishop talked to Master Bull who helped plot an excellent strategy.  After that, Bishop went back in and owned Otto.  He bodyslammed Otto and then connected with a jumping knee drop.  He made the cover and got the 3 count.  Bishop Ripley is joined in the ring by Master Bull and the two celebrate amidst the booing from the fans.  They just eat it up.  (12 min)

Backstage, the former Ladies Champion the Duchess is with Court member Lady Hermann.  Duchess states that Starr Vixen got really lucky when she took her title away but that will not stop her from taking it back.  Lady Hermann states that tonight, they have the boppsy twins and they will show them who the dominant women are in HCW.

We head to the ring for our next match.  First, the mad Russian Ivan Dragovich comes out and at first, he tries to get the fans to cheer him and then he flips them off laughing.  Once in the ring, his opponent begins to make his way out.  Being carried to the ring on a throne is King Wilber Townsend.  This is the first time we believe that His Royalness came to the ring on a throne (prior king CJ did it all the time).  Wilber takes his time getting in the ring.  Finally he does handing over his cape, crown and scepter.  Ivan attacks him.  The match started off slow with Wilber dragging things out.  Finally, the action gets going but then Sonic Blade came out and sat at ringside.  Wilber got distracted and missed out on a few pin attempts and almost got pinned a few times.  Before we knew it, the bell rang bringing this one to a draw.  Wilber got out of the ring and confronted Sonic.  He yelled at his for causing a distraction and Sonic smugly smiled. That pissed off Wilber and he slapped Sonic.  Sonic retaliated by kicking Wilber in the gut and dropping him with a DDT on the floor.  Things quickly settled down and Sonic was escorted out by the ref.  The people who carried Wilber to the ring unceremoniously dumped him on his throne and then carried him to the back.  Wilber was in a pretty precarious position and it was not flattering.

Back in his office, Max says he announces that World Champion Texas Wildfire will be on hand defending his title and it will be against ScooterJ.  He promises to have the rest of the card announced before the end of the show.

We go back to the ring for more tag team action.  The twins Felicia and Betsy Cummings come out first and get a mixed reaction from the crowd.  Next, the Court comes out and it’s the Duchess and Lady Hermann.  The Court hit the ring and the twins bail.  Finally, the match gets underway.  Lady Hermann starts off against Betsy.  This one was really odd as the only time the Duchess got in the ring was during double teaming.  Not sure if she broke a nail or what but she didn’t really help out that much.  In the end, Felicia was getting destroyed and then did an illegal switch with her twin and Betsy rolled up Lady Hermann (and pulling on the ropes for leverage) got the 1-2-3.  The Duchess ran in the ring screaming.  The twins bolted laughing up the ramp.  The Duchess looked on at Lady Hermann in anger but her Ladyship (who towers over the Duchess) stared at her and the Duchess clammed right up.  The two left together.  (13 min)

Manager MJ announces that he’s come to an agreement with Perfect Pecs Stoddard and Red McNulty to no longer be their manager.  It was a mutual split.  When asked, MJ said he needed to dedicate more time to the US Champion Rad Gumbo and make sure he gets the attention deserved.

Backstage, TV Champion ‘Red Hot’ Lucas Johnston says that he defends his title tonight against one of the biggest men in HCW.  “Just like Davey slew Goliath, I’m walking out with my title” Lucas said before leaving the area.

We go back to the ring for a non-title match.   First, the Ryzing Storm (Travis & Terra Ryzing) come out and they are booed because, well, they suck.  Next, the Tag Team Champions the Steel Curtain come out and even with their turn against the fans, the fans still cheer for them (well, some anyway).  Surprisingly, the Curtain were the more aggressor but quickly the Ryzing Storm started making waves.  They turned the tide on them and like a whirlwind, blew the Curtain off their game.  Only a few minutes in, the Desperados came back out.  Starbuck hurled Travis out of the ring and began to jawjack with them.  Buzz ran over and nailed Travis with the Buzzkill.  Travis ended up getting counted out.  Buzz joined Starbuck in the ring with a chair and mockingly invited the Desperados to get in the ring with them.  El Chango obliged and grabbed a chair of his own and he and Leon got in the ring and the Curtain bailed.  Leon invited them in even offering to get rid of the chair but the Curtain backed up the ramp and went to the back.  The Desperados eventually left.  (6 ½ min)

GM Max returns and says that he’s got the card finalized:
King Wilber vs. Sonic Blade with Wilber’s World title shot on the line.
The Super Shockmaster will take Adam Jameson in a specialty match to be decided on the day of the show.
Texas Wildfire defends the World title against ScooterJ.
Starr Vixen defends the Ladies title against Taylor Bella w/Figgy Newton
The Main event will be Pete the PUN-isher vs Magnum Kone in a steel cage.  This one ends tonight!

It’s time for the main event.  Biceps Bannerman comes out first to a mixed reaction from the crowd (the guy is still a lovable giant but just has a sour attitude).  Next, the TV Champion ‘Red Hot’ Lucas Johnston comes out to a decent pop from the crowd.  He poses with the title after scaling the turnbuckle and then hands the belt to the ref.  Lucas used his speed to try to counter the strength of Biceps but it didn’t work too well.  Biceps just keep on blasting Lucas with forearm shots and huge clotheslines.  This was definitely the match of the night as Biceps tried everything he could to take down Lucas but the champ would not stay down.  It was a good thing that Max gave them 30 minutes as they needed almost all that time to get this done.  It appeared that things were starting to go the champs’ way after he neutralized a powerslam but he got kicked in the gut (and that kick seemed a little too low) and Lucas struggled.  Biceps threw him to the ropes and nailed a huge powerslam.  He made the cover and the ref counted 1…2…3.  Biceps Bannerman just defeated Lucas to become the NEW TV Champion!!!  Biceps poses with the belt before blasting Lucas with it and then leaves the ring.

That’s it for this show. Stay tuned…More to come.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2017 #573

Hello everyone and welcome back to our newsletter.  Not a lot of drama in today’s episode except from the manager of the Hardcore champion Dr. Red Fang  - Ant Graham.  That man is walking drama but we’ll address that later on.

After the pyro settled, the show gets ready to kick off.  5th Column members Baron von Blood and Oswald Zimmerman come out first.  They are booed pretty heavily.  Next, Australia’s own Outback Oscar and the Crocodile Hunter come out to a huge pop.  15 minutes into the match and after constant double teaming by Croc and Oscar, it seemed like the 5th Column had given up and even tried to leave but that was thwarted.  After the 19th minute, both Baron and Oswald got injured.  Oswald had been dropkicked from the ring and he landed/crashed hard into the ringside barrier.  Baron just got pummeled and the ref threated to just end the match after Croc hit a vertical drop DDT but Croc made the cover and they got the win.  Croc and Outback Oscar get the win much to the delight of the fans. They stayed a few minutes after Baron and Oswald were helped from the ring.  (20 min)

Backstage, the Fiend says it’s time for him to re-enter the title picture and he is challenging Biceps Bannerman for his shot at the TV title.

Next up, the Axe makes his way out to a mixed reaction from the crowd.  After he did his posing in the ring, music changed and TNT w/ Master Bull came out.  The fans were still not happy with his turn and let him know it.  TNT had control early on but the Axe battled back nearly taking TNT’s head off with ‘the Axe’.  Master Bull noticed that TNT needed help so he provided it and that got him back on track.  Unfortunately, Axe began an offensive run and Bull thought TNT would need more help so he called down the rest of Prestige Inc. Bishop Ripley and Chic Monroe and they rushed the ring and attacked the Axe resulting in a DQ.  The attack didn’t last long as ScooterJ and Wendell Hammerschmidt ran down each armed with a chair and cleared the ring.  Bull hollered at them for their interference but he didn’t want to be on the receiving end of a chair shot so he and his team left.  (15 ½ min DQ)

Ant Graham stormed into GM Max McGillicutty’s office and complained that the Fiend kept interfering in Fang’s matches and wants him fired.  Max reminded Ant that Fang has interfered in many other people’s matches so what was the difference?  Graham insisted that the Fiend won’t be fired, he should be barred from any of Fang’s matches and Max laughed and showed Graham the door before closing it on him.  Graham muttered that this wasn’t over.

We head back to the ring for our next match.  Madame Jade comes out first to a mixed reaction from the crowd.  Next, Scarlett Phoenix comes out and she is a little better received.  Jade doesn’t especially like that.  Scarlett started off strong but then Jade began to fight back and got a couple of pin attempts in but nothing came of them.  Just when it looked like Jade was getting the upper hand, Taylor Bella came out and distracted Jade.  That gave Scarlett the opening to hit the Black Widow and score a 3 count.  Jade took right off chasing Taylor from the ring.  (14 min)

Max says that in a week, HCW will have its supershow and in addition to Taylor Bella cashing in her shot for the Ladies title but we’ll also see Magnum Kone taking on his former tag team partner Pete the PUN-isher in the confines of a steel cage.  He will also be granting them a 60 minute time limit just in case they need it.

Music from the Misfits plays and out comes the Fiend.  He gets a good pop from the crowd.  Next, defending his TV title shot comes Biceps Bannerman and the fans boo him.  The once ‘gentle giant’ is now a raging bull.  The Fiend started off strong but then Biceps just started tearing him apart.  The Fiend managed to hang in there for a whopping 20 minute beat down.  Just when he thought it was over, Dr. Red Fang ran down and stole the timekeeper’s bell so that he couldn’t call the match.  The ref had no idea how much time was left so he let the match continue.  Biceps leveled the Fiend with a shoulder tackle that sent the Fiend out of the ring.  Fang then ran over and nailed the Fiend with a Vampire Lunge.  He threw the Fiend back in and returned the timekeepers’ bell.  Biceps nearly took the Fiend’s head off with a clothesline.  Biceps makes the cover and gets the 1-2-3.  Biceps retains his shot at the TV title next show.  Dr. Red Fang laughed all the way to the back.  (23 min)

The Desperados (Leon Teremoto and El Chango) are interviewed and they say that if the Steel Curtain really thinks they’re not much a threat, they are open to a title shot anytime and they’ll prove they are the better team.

We head back to the ring for more action.  Sonic Blade makes his way out to a decent pop from the crowd.  Next, his opponent Perfect Pecs Stoddard comes out and he is booed.  Max comes out and says that he is putting Sonic’s future World title shot on the line here and he was caught off-guard.  Sonic fought hard but the man with the Pecs of Stone overpowered him.  After the ref got caught in between the two and went down, King Wilber Townsend ran down and attacked Sonic Blade.  He hit him with the GTS three times.  By then, the ref was stirring.  Pecs picked up Sonic and hit a front powerslam.  He made the cover and got the 1-2-3.  Perfect Pecs Stoddard gets the win and takes Sonic’s spot for the World title.  Max came back out and said King Wilber may have influence the end of that match so Max makes one final showdown between Wilber and Sonic in a week and this time, Wilber’s World title shot will be on the line.  Sonic seemed ok with that.  (15 min)

We have some news to report on one of the members of our roster the Savior.  After Savior left a few shows back, he was driving (distracted) his jeep on a snow packed road (must have been in the mountains), apparently something crossed his path (we find out later it was a rabbit…or was it?) and he veered off the road and got into an accident totaling his jeep.  He went into the hospital where he was told he’d never wrestle again.  The Savior told them they were mistaken and he left the hospital days later, boarded a plane and ended up in Katmandu.  While wandering the streets, he came across an ancient temple.  He entered and was told that here he would find what he needed to settle his mind.  During his spiritual retreat, he discovered that his spirit animal was in fact a rabbit and he said he’d remain here until he was ready to return.  When questioned “What is your name, stranger?”  He said “Call me…Savior Strange”.  Will he return to the world of professional wrestling or live his life here…only time will tell.

It’s time for our Main Event.  First, one member of the Snake Pit Niven Snake, makes his way out to the ring first.  Next, Ant Graham comes out and introduces the Hardcore Champion Dr. Red Fang who exclaims “VAMPIRE LUNGES FOR EVERYONE!” and makes his way down to the ring.  The ref announces that the rules for this match will be ‘Lights out’ rules.  Niven actually put up a hell of a fight and that scared the crap out of Ant Graham.  He couldn’t contribute much as Niven’s brother Leiton came out and kept Graham at a distance.  Ant finally took a chance and threw a chair in to the ring to Fang.  Fang kicked Niven in the gut and then hit a Transylvania piledriver on the chair.  He made the cover and got the 1-2-3.  Dr. Red Fang wins the match but he had no time to celebrate as the Fiend ran down and the two of them brawled to the back bringing this show to an end.

Stay tuned for more action.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2017 #572

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  Today marks the birthday of one of our wrestlers from the “old days” and that is the Caped Crusader.  We here in HCW hope he has a great day today.

Kicking off the show today is Wendell Hammerschmidt who makes his way to the ring first.  Next, the music changes and Prestige Inc. member Superstar Chic Monroe makes his way out with his manager Master Bull.  Bull points out all of Wendell’s shortcomings (based on his match at the PPV against Rad Gumbo).   The bell rings and Chic goes right on the offensive.  Master Bull kept pointing things out and Chic got really cocky.  13 minutes in, Wendell had enough of Master Bull and went after him but the slippery little devil manages to evade his grasp.  Wendell rolled back in the ring and after Chic missed a boot to the face, Wendell hit him with the Red Arrow.  Wendell made the cover and got the 1-2-3.  Wendell gets the win in 14 minutes.  This brought out Bishop Ripley and TNT and they attacked and beat Wendell down.  ScooterJ then ran down with a steel chair in hand and chased Prestige Inc. from the ring. Bull and his team swore that they were not done with him…not by a long shot.

The former ladies’ champion the Duchess calls out Ravishing Raquel for attacking her.  She accuses Raquel of hiding behind her manager (as opposed to her hiding behind the Court) and says that if she ever wants a face to face, she’ll know where to find her.

Our next match is ready to begin.  5th Column member Karl Braun comes out first.  Next, the song “Ice Dagger Baby” (to a variation of Ice Ice Baby as to not get sued) and Ice Dagger makes his way to the ring. Ice Dagger struggled with an offense for about 13 minutes but after that, he seemed to find his groove.  At the 19 minute mark, he hit Karl with the Ice Dagger but Braun got to the ropes.  Braun would battle back hitting an overknee backbreaker.  Just as he was going for the pin, the bell rang bringing this one to a draw.  Braun called for the 5th Column to join him in the ring and just as Oswald Zimmerman and Baron von Blood got to the ring, Ice Dagger had escaped.  ID pointed to his head and laughed all the way to the back.

Master Bull is standing outside as a limo pulls up.  ‘The Elitist’ Reid Rothchild and his wife Ravishing Raquel exited the limo. Bull tells Reid he’s defending his title in the main event.  Bull tells Raquel that the Duchess called her out. She said she’d deal with that nobody all in good time.  Reid and Raquel join Bull as they head to the dressing room.

Back in the ring, our next bout is ready to begin.  Jesse California makes his way out to a mixed reaction from the crowd.  Next, a distorted voice begins to laugh and cackle and the Super Shockmaster makes his way down to the ring.  Jesse tries for an offensive blitz but SS shrugs him off.  After the 12 minute mark, Jesse started to wear SS down and started taking the match to him.  That went on for 7 minutes with neither man getting a pin attempt.  In the final minute of the match, Adam Jameson came out and started hollering at SS.  The Super Shockmaster was, surprise, shocked to see AJ out there.  He began yelling at him and then turned around just as Jesse caught him with a famouser leg drop bulldog.  AJ rushed down to the ring.  Jesse made the cover and AJ held down SS’s leg so he could not kick out.   Jesse California gets the win with only seconds left.  Jesse took off as SS began to stir.  AJ waited long enough to catch SS’s attention and then laughed at him while the Super Shockmaster stewed in the ring.

Backstage with Larry Morton are the Tag Team Champions the Steel Curtain.  Buzz says that this is all on the head of GM Max McGillicutty as he was the one who suspended them when they did only what the other teams were doing.  They fought back and what do they get for it?  Suspension.  Starbuck says they’ve heard the whining from the Desperados and wonder if they’ve now become desperate…desperate for one more shot at glory…desperate to become SOMETHING again.  Buzz chimes in and laughs calling them the Desperate-rados.  Both men laugh as Larry stands there shaking his head.

We head back to the ring for our next match.  Kimberly Kiccass makes her way out first and she gets booed but she doesn’t care.  Jazz Emmett comes out next and her reaction isn’t much different.  This one had to be the match of the night as both ladies pulled out all the stops.  Both went for numerous pin/submission attempts but neither would give up.  This one also was going the distance and in the final seconds of the match, Kimberly connected with a flying hurricanrana and made the cover.  The ref counted 1…2… and the bell rang bring this one to an end.  This one ends in a draw and while neither lady were happy with it, they opted not to continue this one.  (20 min draw)

Reid is back in his dressing room stretching getting ready for his match.  Master Bull walks over and lets Reid know that ScooterJ is in the building.  Reid responds with “I don’t care what pooper-scooter is doing but if he tries to interfere in my match, make sure Prestige Inc. is standing by.”  Bull nods and leaves.  Reid chuckles to himself.

We’re down to the next to last match of the night.  Hangman #3 comes out first and is booed.  Next, the Fiend comes out and receives a nice reaction from the crowd.  The Fiend tells the crowd that once he secures another win, he’s going after the Hardcore Champion Dr. Red Fang.  Hangman #3 doesn’t like being overlooked and attacks the Fiend as he enters the ring.  Hangman #3 took many cheap shots at the Fiend and the ref didn’t seem to catch any of them.  10 minutes in, Dr. Red Fang accompanied by his manager Ant Graham came out and Fang growled and snarled.  He rushed down to the ring just as the Fiend hit Hangman #3 with a flying dropkick.  He turned and started to jawjack with Fang but Hangman #3 hit a backslide and almost got a 2 count.  #3 locked in a hammerlock and turned it into a pin but Fang held down the Fiend’s leg as the ref counted 1…2…3.  Hangman #3 gets the win.  Ant Graham handed Hangman #3 a wad of cash and he was on his way.  Fang got in and nailed the Fiend with a Transylvania Piledriver.  He grabbed a chair and wanted to hit another one but the suits and refs came out to ensure no more damage would be inflicted.  Fang was escorted out by Graham and shouted as he was led to the back “Vampire Lunges for Everyone!”

Reporter Clarkus Kentus is backstage with our GM Max McGillicutty.  Max says that the Steel Curtain crossed the line and paid the price.  They can blame anyone and everyone but he is not the bad guy here.  However, if they want to see is bad side, they can keep pushing but they won’t like it when he’s angry.

It’s time for the main event for the Elitist Title.  One member of the Muscles Trio – Muscles McGuire – makes his way out first wearing his rainbow colored bull horns and is running out acting all goofy.  Next, Master Bull comes out and introduces the Elitist Champion Reid Rothchild.  Reid comes out wearing a robe that was parallel to what Ric Flair used to wear.  Reid even went so far as to yell ‘WOOO’ and then put his hand to his ear when the fans responded negatively.  Reid got a cheap shot in early.  McGuire responded with a hurricanrana but Reid reversed it going for a Reid Bottom but that was also reversed and Muscles tried for a diving crossbody but that two got reversed when Master Bull stuck his nose in and provided intestinal fortitude.  McGuire shrugged it off and started to take the match to Reid.  He climbed the turnbuckle but Bull hit him with a chair and Reid then dumped him to the floor.  McGuire wasn’t able to make it back in before the count of 10 so the match is awarded to Reid as a countout decision.  Master Bull joined him and they both celebrated until ScooterJ came out with a chair and threatened to get in the ring.  Prestige Inc then ran down but ScooterJ dropped both Bishop and Chic with the chair.  He motioned for TNT to come get some but Reid attacked him from behind.  Reid motioned to TNT who picked up ScooterJ but started to seem reluctant.  Master Bull told him to finish it.  TNT still hesitated.  Reid got in his face and told him to finish ScooterJ.  TNT picked up ScooterJ who by now had recovered and then plated TNT with a DDT through the announce table.  Reid and Bull were astonished and tried to go after him but he took off through the crowd laughing all the way.  TNT recovered pretty quickly and was pissed.  The show came to an end with all of Prestige Inc. staring as ScooterJ made his way through the crowd.

That’s all for now.  Things continue to stay interesting around here so come on back.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2017 #571

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  HCW once again hits the road but this time is coming to you from Flagstaff, AZ.  The show here is sold out it looks like we have some interesting things transpiring.

The show starts off with ScooterJ making his way to the ring.  He has a chair that he opens and sits down.  He calls out Turnip for hiding behind Prestige Inc.   TNT comes out and reminds ScooterJ that that name “no longer has any meaning for me”.  ScooterJ replies “It’s the name of your true self…you’ve only forgotten it.  Ah hell, I knew I wasn’t gonna get that Star Wars line right.  I’m putting all of Prestige Inc. on notice.  You are messing with the wrong guy.”  Just then, Superstar Chic Monroe and Bishop Ripley attack from the audience but this time ScooterJ was ready and grabbed the chair and took out both Bishop and Chic but TNT hit the ring like an explosion and beat down ScooterJ once again.  Chic and Bishop recovered and helped in laying the boots to ScooterJ until the suits came from the back and broke it up.  ScooterJ gets up under his own power and hollers for Prestige Inc. to bring it on.  Eventually it is all broken up and everyone gets escorted to the back.

Our first match of the night has The Duchess taking on Missy Chick.  Missy came out first to a pop from the crowd.  Next, the former Ladies Champion the Duchess came out to booing from the crowd.  She didn’t let it get to her.  Before the match could start, Ravishing Raquel came out and began jawjacking with both women.  She pushed Missy into the corner.  Raquel then started to brawl with the Duchess and then pulled her into the corner and wrapped her arm around the steel post twice.  Raquel had to be escorted out of the ring.  The ref asked the Duchess if she wanted to continue and she said yes.  Missy took advantage of the attack and immediately locked the Duchess in a scissored armbar.  The injury must have been worse than let on and the Duchess tapped out immediately.  Missy Chick gets the win via submission in only 30 seconds.  The Duchess nursed her sore arm and eventually made her way to the back.

We are backstage with the Tag Team Champions the Steel Curtain.  Buzz and Starbuck explain why they had a change in attitude.  It was all because GM Max McGillicutty unduly suspended them for no real reason.  Now, they are only looking out for themselves.

We head to the ring for our next match.  Talon McFrost makes his way out first to a mixed reaction from the crowd.  Next, the Crocodile Hunter comes out and gets a HUGE pop.   This one gets right underway.  The Savior made his way out but stopped midway down the ramp.  Croc saw him and it threw him off unsure of what the Savior was going to do next.  Savior looked around dazed and confused and eventually left.  Croc still wasn’t sure if the Savior was coming out again and couldn’t get his head on straight.  Croc thought there would be a draw as the time limit was running out fast.  In the final seconds of the match, Talon hit Croc with a back body drop and immediately made the cover and got the 3 count with seconds left to spare.  Talon gets the win and Croc was a bit surprised but he ended up extending his hand and the two shook.

Backstage, the Savior continued to walk around in a stupor mumbling to himself until he found himself in front of a mirror.   The Savior looks at his physical reflection in addition to doing an internal reflection and questions on whether it’s others who need to be saved or really him.  He grabs his bag and says he needs time to figure things out.

We head back to the ring for the next match.  Terra Ryzing came out first and got booed and heckled pretty bad after losing in tremendous fashion to Dr. Red Fang when the Hardcore title was on the line.  Next, Red McNulty comes out with his manager MJ.  MJ was a non-factor in this match as Red asked him to stay behind.  The match was pretty boring and slow and caught everyone by surprise after Terra hit a high knee smash and hooked the tights to get the 1-2-3.  Terra Ryzing gets the win in 6 min (felt like 60).  He laughed as the fans resumed their booing.

Backstage, the other member of the Ryzing Storm Travis Ryzing said he was getting a shot at US Champion Rad Gumbo tonight and tonight, that belt changes hands.  He said that his brother Terra kicked off a great evening for them and he will finish it.

The next match is ready to take place.  Angry Jack Lawson comes out and like normal, he’s angry and wants to take it out on someone.  Adam Jameson comes out next and seems to have mostly recovered from his feud with the Super Shockmaster.  For 10 minutes, Adam was on the receiving end of Jack’s anger but after a near 3 count from connecting with a pele kick, Adam turned things around and started to take out his anger on Jack.  Adam beat the tar out of Jack for the last 10 minutes and just when we though the match was going to end, AJ locked in the STF and then turned it into a pin with only seconds left to spare.  Adam Jameson gets the win but it is cut short when Super Shockmaster comes out again.  He has a mic and tells Adam that if he thought their feud was done, he was sorely mistaken.  SS promised to make AJ’s life a living hell.   He cackled and then left.

The Desperados (El Chango and Leon Teremoto) are backstage getting ready for their match.  El Chango states that it’s been too long since they wore the tag titles and fan favorites or heels, they will go after the betls and if the Steel Curtain still have them, well, it won’t be for long.

We go to the ring for the next match.  ‘The Gold Standard’ Bruce Biltmore and the Hollywood Star come out to a so-so pop.  The music changes and the Desperados come out but they are not looking for fan acceptance.  The only thing on their minds is a future shot at the world tag team titles.  The Desperados hit the ring and clear it pretty quick.  Once it finally began, the two teams stayed pretty even throughout the match.  The Hollywood Star thought he had things locked up after hitting El Chango with a springboard bionic elbow that sent him out of the ring but he made the tag to Leon on his way out.  Leon cleared Bruce from the ring apron and then hit a dropkick that sent Star over the top rope and to the floor below. Leon followed him out and nailed a powerbomb on the floor.  He got back in after helping El Chango up.  Hollywood Star ends up getting counted out so the Desperados get themselves a win.  (9 ½ min)

There is commotion back stage and it’s between former tag team partners Pete the PUN-isher and Magmun Kone.  Pete kept attacking Magnum Kone and the two had to continually be separated.  GM Max McGillicutty comes over and tells the two that in a few weeks (5/21), there will be a super show and that show will be headlined by a Steel Cage match between the two.  Magnum ended up walking away first while Pete hollered at him calling him a chicken.  Max had Pete escorted from the building.

It’s time for our main event.  The challenger, Travis Ryzing, came out first but didn’t get the same level of heat his brother got earlier.   Next, music changes and over the loudspeakers blares “Gumbo 7:30 says it’s suppa time BITCH!”   The US Champion ‘The Ragin Cajun’ Rad Gumbo came out with his manager MJ.  The two made their way to the ring.  Travis tries to be the aggressor and attacks Rad but Gumbo turns the table on him and just beats him down.  MJ definitely made his presence known in this match and it definitely helped his guy.  Travis bounced Rad’s face off the turnbuckle but as he turned to leave, MJ tripped him and he fell flat on his face.  Rad pounced and made the cover hooking the leg (and maybe the tights) and got the 1-2-3.  Rad Gumbo wins the match and is still the US Champion.  Rad and MJ posed in the ring until the cameras stopped rolling.

That’s it for this show.  Be sure to tune in to our next episode.
