HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2018 #653 – Phoenix Heat

Hello fans and welcome back to another episode of HCW’s Phoenix Heat.  On tonight’s show, we will have our first Elimination Chamber qualifier when the Banker w/ Ruth Heartless takes on Buzz Steel. TV champion Texas Wildfire will be on the card in a non-title match against Scooter J.  We will also have two title matches with US Champion Crocodile Hunter defending his title against Top Gun Justin Winger and the Ladies Champion the Duchess facing off, in a match made by King Rad Gumbo who is also the temporary GM of Tacoma Thunder, against the former Queen Ravishing Raquel.  Raquel agreed to give up her crown in order to get this match.  All this and more will be on the show.

GM Master Bull makes his way out to a pop from the crowd.  Bull says he got the transfer notice from Tacoma’s new temporary GM King Rad Gumbo and he took Superquake Ferguson off the Phoenix roster and is sending him…Hangman #3.  He’s not all that thrilled with who he got but he will make the best of it.  Bull mentions that starting tonight, we will have 3 qualifying matches to see who will take on Graham’s Ghouls in the Elimination Chamber.  He adds that there is a lot happening on the show today so he is ready to kick this one off.

Tonight’s Card:

Elimination Chamber qualifier – The Banker vs Buzz Steel
El Gato vs Lavender Gooms for her spot
Scooter J vs Texas Wildfire in a non-title match
Ivan, red, Wendell vs the Snake pit for their spot
Croc vs Top Gun Justin Winger for the US title
The Duchess vs Ravishing Raquel – no DQ, no CO for the title

Pyro goes off and this one is off to the races.  Our first match of the evening will be our chamber qualifier match.  First, out comes the Banker with his manager Ruth Hearthless.  They are booed all the way down to the ring.   Next, Buzz Steel comes out and the fans pop huge.  The Banker started off early hitting Buzz with his briefcase and that put Buzz on the defensive for the majority of the match.  Buzz started to get a good run going after getting a 2 count after hitting the Buzzkill however Ruth got involved and stunned Buzz allowing the Banker to connect with the overdraft uppercut and (with his feet on the ropes) got the 1-2-3.  The Banker is now part of the Elimination Chamber. Just as the Banker is getting ready to stamp “DENIED” on Buzz’s forehead, “Top Gun” makes and appearance and the Banker is distracted long enough for Buzz to roll out of the ring.  Frustrated, he and Ruth leave.  Buzz interacts with the fans before departing. (14 min)

Scooter J is backstage and although he’s content to be on the card today, it’s a little pissed that the TV champion Texas Wildfire isn’t willing to put his title on the line.  Scooter J calls TW a coward and after he embarrasses him tonight, he will be the #1 contender and will take the TV title.

El Gato Negro comes out first and she gets a loud pop from the crowd.  Next, Lavender Gooms comes out and she is pretty well received as well.  The two ladies shake hands in the middle of the ring and this one begins.  Lavender just plain outwrestled El Gato in this one but try as she could, El Gato just couldn’t get a solid offense going.  After 16 minutes of just neutering the black cat, Lavender hit some quick arm drags and while El Gato was stunned, Lavender made the cover getting the 1-2-3.  Lavender Gooms retains her spot in the Ladies title line up.  Being a good sport, Lavender extended her hand to El Gato and helped her up.  The two nodded and then left separately.

“Top Gun” Justin Winger is backstage and he says he’s been given a rare chance – a second attempt to win the US title.  He knows the Crocodile Hunter is solid but he says he learned a lot from their last meeting and will be using it to his advantage to bring home the gold.

Next, we head back to the ring.  Scooter J comes out first and the fans boo the hell out of him.  He takes his time and (it seems) he flips each and every person off at ringside.  This of course makes them more rowdy.  Scooter J gets on the mic and tells “the coward Texas Wildfire to get out there so he can beat him senseless”.  The TV champion Texas Wildfire comes out and the fans go insane.  It has to be the loudest pop so far of the night. TW heads to the ring but takes a mic.  He then tells SJ that if he wants a shot at him so bad, he’ll give it to him right now!  The match now seems to be for the title however GM Master Bull comes out and tells TW that although he admires his gumption, he can’t dictate the title match.  Bull does say that if Scooter J gets the win tonight, he will become the #1 contender.  If he does not, he falls to the bottom of the top 10.  Scooter J immediately attacks TW and this one begins.  SJ managed to hit TW with a powerslam on the floor and that took all the wind out of the champs’ sails.  Scooter J continued to dominate the match and after hitting a piledriver in the middle of the ring, he hooked the leg and got the 3 count.  Scooter J gets the win and is now the #1 contender for the TV title.  SC picks up a mic and tells TW he wants his match next week.  He drops the mic and then leaves.  (16 min)

The Banker and Ruth Heartless are backstage. The Banker says that Winger is like a bad penny…he keeps turning up.  Winger once again stopped him from his duties (stamping DENIED on people’s foreheads) and promises that Winger won’t be leaving with anything tonight.  He just sits there stewing.

The next match begins as Ivan Dragovich, Wendell Hammerschmidt and the Hardcore Champion Red McNulty make their way out first to booing from the crowd.  Next, the Snake Pit (Leiton, Niven and Tobias Snake) come out and surprisingly get a pop.   Leiton walks up to Red and points to the hardcore title and then motions like he’s going to take that title. The match begins pretty quickly with the Snake Pit dominating the match.  Leiton concentrated on Red however Wendell was tagged in when things got too hot.  Leiton, frustrated, hit Wendell with a Buckle Bomb and then covered him for the 3 count.  The Snake Pit get the win and retain their spot in the 6 man title line up.  Leiton takes a mic and challenges Red McNulty for the Hardcore title at the next show.  The fans pop as Ivan, Red and Wendell all make their way to the back.  (21 min)

The Crocodile Hunter is backstage and says that he’s faced a lot of talent in HCW and one of the toughest so far has been Top Gun.  Top Gun says he knows Croc but that also means he knows Winger.  This will be an interesting match with the better man winning.

It’s time for the first title match of the night.  First, music hits and out comes “Top Gun” Justin Winger.  Winger gets a pop and he high fives the fans as he makes his way down to the ring.  The music changes and out comes the US Champion The Crocodile Hunter and the fans pop for him too.  He makes his way to the ring and after climbing each turnbuckle and posing with the title, he makes his way to the middle of the ring and hands his title to the ref.  He then extends a hand to Winger who shakes it and we’re off.   Winger was on his way with a solid performance. We join the match now at the 7 min mark.

The Crocodile Hunter retains his title but is attacked by the Banker getting leveled with a briefcase shot.  The Banker opens the briefcase and pulls out the stamp and starts to stamp the word DENIED all over Winger. The Banker has cost Winger another shot at the title.  The Banker begins to put the boots to Croc and then slaps on the ATM fee armbar and wrenches it in tight.  Croc is slapping the mat as if he were tapping out but the Banker refused to let go. A bunch of security came out and broke it up.  The Banker and Ruth leave a little satisfied but I’m sure this one is not over.  (8 min for the match; 5 additional for the aftermath)

The Ladies Champion the Duchess is backstage and she says she’s been bullied into this match by the King but like all of her other opponents, she will persevere.  Nothing will prevent her from walking out the champion tonight.

Ravishing Raquel is on her way to the ring and she is stopped.  She is asked what her strategy is for winning the match tonight and she looks at her like she lost her mind.  Raquel says she will do what she does and we’ll see a new champion tonight.

It’s time for the Main Event.  This will be a no DQ, no countout match.  There must be a winner in this 30 minute fight for the title.  Ravishing Raquel comes out first and the fans pop for her.  She is all business and once in the ring, begins to do some light stretching.  Next, the Ladies Champion the Duchess comes out and the fans boo her.  She makes her way to the ring and is ready for action. Right before the bell rang, new music hit and out comes Candice Charisma.  She is booed even worse than the Duchess and she goes to sit at commentary.  The bell rings and this one begins.  For 11 minutes, both women went toe to toe with neither giving an inch.  That was also about the time Candice got up from commentary and distracted the Duchess which allowed Raquel to control the match.  Candice also got involved distracting Raquel allowing Duchess to get a near fall after hitting the All Hail Her Majesty.  We join the match at the 24 min mark.

The ref hands Raquel the title and the fans pop huge for her.  She drops to her knees hugging the title but then Candice sneaks up from behind and hits her with a steel chair. Raquel falls face first to the mat.  Candice hits her twice more with the chair before turning it on the Duchess blasting her with it sending her tumbling out of the ring.  The show comes to an end with Candice picking up the Ladies title and holding it high over the prone from of Ravishing Raquel.

Stay tuned as there will surely be fallout from this.

(Editor’s note:  Tacoma has not provided the card lineup for their next show so we think King Rad has something up his regal sleeve.)

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2018 #652 – Tacoma Thunder

Hello fans and welcome back to another installment of HCW’s Tacoma Thunder.  While we expect GM Master Bull to make an appearance today, the show begins with manager MJ making his way out and heads down to the ring.  MJ says that the Ragin Cajun did not receive a proper coronation when he was originally given the crown so right here and right now, they will do this right with all the pomp and circumstance that it deserves.  He then introduces the new King of HCW…King Rad Gumbo.  Rad comes out smirking and the fans boo him.  Many fans have signs showing their displeasure.

 “Rad Gumbo – Phony King”
“Wilber got Vinced”
“Phoenix is NOT Montreal”
Montreal Phoenix screwjob”

He makes it into the ring.  A throne has been placed at the center.  Rad stands in front of it.  The fans booing is getting louder.  MJ then puts the robe on the King and Rad sits down.  MJ then places the crown on the King’s head and hands him his scepter.  The fans vocal displeasure doesn’t seem to be dampening Rad’s spirits.  MJ hands him a mic.

Rad: "Da King is here! I been tellin' all y'all 'round here that I was gonna rule dis place sooner rather den later. And here I stand (but he’s sitting) da King of da HCW! So now all of my subjects can start lining up to pay tribute to good ol' Rad. We are runnin' da show here now. Ha haaaa!

Now MJ! When I say 'we' you probably thinkin' I mean me an' you n'est-ce pas? Well it's true dat you been by my side for a long time now but I realized somethin' dat was made clear when you helped da Ghouls win da 6 man titles.  Yeah, a few months ago... I realized somethin'. Dat you, MJ, was not what dis Cajun SOB needed. Dat YOU were holdin' me back. You talk an' talk an' tell Rad dis an' tell Rad dat. An' make no mistake mon ami, you take your cut don't you? Yeah, you line your pockets from all the hard work Rad puts in. You been usin' me for a good long time now so I thought I maybe turn da tables on you MJ. I been usin' you to get what I want. But now I da King! And I don't need no 'manager' or no 'right hand man'. No, no, no. What does a King need? A King need a Queen! C'mon out here cherie!”  MJ stands there and is speechless.

“Now look at dat! Dis, my HCW subjects, is Ms. Alexandria an' she is your new Queen! C'est bon to be da King! Bow down an' show her some respect!

So da King an' Queen's first order of business? MJ, you fired son. Sortez. An' we can do dis da easy way or we can do dis da 'Big Easy Way' if you know what I gettin' at mon ami. Get lost or King Rad says...off wit your head.”  MJ, in shock, leaves the ring fired from his managerial position.

“An' dat goes for everyone else back in dat locker room too! You displease da King an' you gonna pay a tithe dat gonna leave you poor, like da peasants dat you are."

Music changes and out comes the ACTUAL Queen of HCW Ravishing Raquel.  Raquel is wearing her regal gear and she gets into the ring.  She asks “Just what in the HELL do you think you’re doing calling this charlatan Queen?  I am the rightful heir to the HCW throne.”  Rad asks Raquel “What is it you really want?  You don’t want to be da Queen…You want to be da Ladies Champion.  Dat is why you are here in HCW.  You want to rule as da champion, not sitting on some throne.  I’ll tell you wat…give up da crown right here an’ now and my first royal proclamation is to authorize you to get a title shot at da Duchess.  Any match you want.  Give me the crown to give to my first lady an’ I’ll make dat happen.”  Raquel then does the unthinkable…she hands over the crown and cape.  “I want that match at the next show.  Make it happen!”  Raquel then walks off and everyone is watching in disbelief.  Rad laughs again.  “Oh, and mah second proclamation…I challenge El Chango tonight for his spot in da World title lineup.  Now, dis is how you get tings done…King Style.”  He crowns Ms. Alexandria and the two of them leave the ring together.

Today’s card looks like this:

The Axe vs Dr. Red Fang w/ Ant Graham
Leon Teremoto vs Bob Keg
Pete vs Davis Hoffmeister
The Smashers vs AJ and Billy
Candice Charisma vs Madame Jade
King Rad Gumbo w/ Queen Alexandria vs El Chango for his spot in the World title line up

Pyro goes off and the show begins with “VAMPIRE LUNGES FOR EVERYONE!” blaring over the loudspeakers and out comes the evil vampire Dr. Red Fang with his lackey, err, I mean manager Ant Graham.   The fans boo them both as they make their way down to and into the ring.  The Axe comes out next and is cheered.  Neither Graham nor Fang care for that so Fang immediately attacks Axe upon entering the ring.  Graham got involved early and often but that didn’t stop the Axe for getting in some good licks.  As the match was nearing the time limit, Axe set Fang up for the Axe but Graham tripped him.  Axe stumbled and Fang hit him with a Transylvania piledriver.  He hooked the leg (and tights) and got the 1-2-3.  Dr. Red Fang gets the win.  (19 min)  Graham joins Fang in the ring and they are showboating and Axe gets up, grabs Fang and hurls him over the top rope to a pop from the crowd.  This left Graham alone in the ring with the Axe and he had the “deer in the headlights” look.  He was petrified.  Axe whipped him to the ropes but Fang made a grab for his manager and pulled him out to safety.  Graham and Fang then left pretty quick and Axe celebrated with the fans before leaving.

Davis Hoffmeister is backstage and he says that he was a little disappointed that he didn’t get Figgy in the ring but he’s not through with him or Mustang Sammy…not by a long shot.  He will get him back in the ring and this time, he’ll get his hands on his former manager and Figgy will wish he called it quits.

The next match is ready to go and Bob “Powder” Keg makes his way down to the ring to a mixed reaction from the crowd.  Next, Leon Teremoto comes out and the fans pop for him.  Leon gets on the mic and says he wants to challenge Bob for his spot in the TV title line up.  Bob tries to back out of it saying that he didn’t have enough notice but the ref makes it happen.  Bob was not happy about it and took his frustrations out on Leon early by taking him out of the ring and slamming his head into the steel steps before whipping him into the steel post.  Bob then brought the action back into the ring and dominated the rest of the match before picking Leon up and hitting a powerbomb in the middle of the ring.  Bob makes the cover and gets the 3 count.   Bob wins the match and retains his spot in the TV title lineup.  The fans began to cheer Leon on but Bob didn’t like that so he nailed Leon with a second powerbomb in the ring.  Bob told the fans to shut it or he’d keep beating Leon up.  The ref stepped in and said that if he laid another hand on Leon, he would reverse the decision.  Bob then left.  (14 min)

Candice Charisma is backstage and she once again complains that she was left out of the fatal four way so tonight she is challenging Madame Jade for her #1 spot.  Jade will rue the day she stole Candice’s spot in that match.

We go back to the ring for more action.  First, the Hoff – Davis Hoffmeister comes out and the fans go crazy.  Davis high fives the fans as he makes his way down to the ring.  Next, Pete Punsher (aka the PUNisher) makes his way out to a mixed reaction from the crowd.    The two started off and Pete liked to think he was in control of the match however he was not. Davis controlled the match and after dropping Pete with a clothesline, he made the cover and got the surprising 3 count.  Davis wins this one in 8 minutes.  Both men leave without further incident.

Madame Jade is backstage and she comments on how the ladies in HCW are top notch although some leave something to be desired.  One of those is the upstart Candice Charisma. Jade said she fought hard to get where she is now and Candice just feels everything should be handed to her on a silver platter.  Not this time.  If Candice wants Jade’s spot, she has to earn it but Jade isn’t going down without a fight.

It’s time for some tag team action.  First, Adam Jameson and Billy Robbins come out to a decent pop from the crowd.  Next, the Smashers come out and they stop on the ramp.  Smasher #1 says that without a manager, they’ve been a rut.  That ends tonight as they announce their new (and former) manager – MJ!  MJ comes out and takes the mic.  “Gumbo, you are a little mistaken…it wasn’t me riding your coattails but the other way around.  All your angles…all your title shots…it was because of me.  Just because you couldn’t get the job done, that’s not my problem.  One thing I did recognize is that managing a tag team, like when I stepped in and helped the Ghouls win the 6 man titles, is that my calling is in the tag team ranks.  The Smashers were once the dominant team in HCW and with me by their side once again, they will be once more.  Elitism, we are coming for you!”  MJ and the Smashers make their way down to the ring.  MJ made a difference in the match and the Smashers managed to stay two steps ahead of Billy and AJ.  At the 21 minute mark, MJ dragged his thumb across his throat and then Smasher #2 hit the Fade to Black on Billy and that was it.  The Smashers get the win.  MJ leaves with the Smashers and then head to the back.  (21 min)

El Chango is backstage and he says that King Gumbo, like all the other royals before him, are delusional. Thinking that a crown makes you something is absurd “although I would have been ok with it ha ha.  I’ve earned my spot and you think that just because you wear a crown gives you more power, you’re wrong.  I’ll prove it tonight.”

King Rad is backstage with Queen Alexandria talking to someone.  “Plain and simple, I need someone to watch mah back.  Dis ain’t no glory job.  I will boss you around and you’ll take it…if you want to get paid more den you’d ever seen.  Just stand dere and do nothin’ ‘cept what I tell you. You do dat and you’ll go a long way.  What do you say mon ami?”  The camera pans and we see Superquake Ferguson (our GIANT in HCW) look down on the King and then takes a knee.  “What is thy bidding my liege?”

The next match begins with Candice Charisma coming out to some massive boos from the fans.  She flips them off nonchalantly and gets into the ring.  Next, Madame Jade comes out and the fans pop.  Candice rushes out of the ring and attacks Jade starting this one off on the outside of the ring.  The attack took Jade off her game but it didn’t take long for her to recover and take the match to the upstart.  Just as Madam Jade was setting up the Jade Breaker, Candice reversed it and ended up clipping Jade’s knee.  Jade dropped and Candice picked her up and hit a northern lights suplex and while hooking the bum leg (and had her feet on the ropes) she got the surprising 1-2-3.  Candice just stole a win from Jade and now, pending the outcome of Ravishing Raquel’s shot at the Duchess, we will have our new #1 contender.  Candice runs around with her arms in the air singing “I am the champion my friends” and she leaves to the boos from the crowd.  (8 min)

GM Master Bull makes an appearance on stage and states that he needs to have representation here in Tacoma until Max returns so he declares that the winner of this next match between Gumbo and El Chango will have a new temporary GM of Tacoma.  There was a huge GASP from the crowd at this announcement.  He then left with everyone still reeling from that announcement.

It’s time for our Main Event.  First, the Ragin Cajun King Rad Gumbo, his Queen Ms. Alexandria and his new “tower of terror” Superquake Ferguson.  Gumbo gets in the ring and says that not only does he gain a title shot at the World title but a little something else.  He smiles stating he has the whole thing figured out.  Next, El Chango comes out to the loudest pop of the night.  El Chango high fives with the fans and makes his way into the ring.  El Chango bypasses the King and gets right into Superquakes’…err..chest (Ferguson is a good 2 feet taller) and says “you don’t scare me big boy”.  Ferguson looks to the King who motions him to step out of the ring.  Queen Alexandria also steps out leaving the boys to fight it out.  And fight they did.  El Chango pulled out all the stops and really took the match to his Lordship.  Gumbo did receive some good advice from his Queen (and a bit of outside interference from the tower of terror).  El Chango hit the ropes and caught King Rad with a shooting star press but Rad rolled with it and locked in the Onion Lock.  When the ref was distracted by Queen Alexandria for just a moment, Superquake reached in and hit El Chango with the knockout punch.  The ref came back and seeing that El Chango was out (raising and dropping of the arm 3 times), he awarded the match, the title shot and temporary control of Tacoma Thunder to King Rad Gumbo.  The fans about lost their minds.  There was almost a riot when Gumbo, standing in the ring flanked by his Queen and bodyguard, stood there laughing.  Gumbo takes a mic before the show ended and declared he was officially moving Superquake to the Tacoma roster and will announce on Wed who will be moving to Phoenix.

The show comes to an end with Rad standing there laughing.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2018 #651 – Phoenix Heat

https://hwfcswafantasy.blogspot.com

Hello fans and welcome back to another installment of HCW’s Phoenix Heat. GM Master Bull is back in Phoenix, AZ, his home away from home and is ready to kick of today’s show. He starts off by coming out at the beginning to a pretty big pop from the crowd. He says that tonight, he has a LOT of announcements and will be announcing them throughout the night. He says he wants to kick this off by announcing that the Elimination Chamber is coming. Later on, he will reveal what info he has so he hopes the fans will stick around for the entire show to get the scoop. He leaves so the show can begin.

First, US Champion the Crocodile Hunter comes out to a big pop from the crowd. He starts to get them excited about the show. Next, his opponent Talon McFrost comes out and the crowd once again boos even starting a “You Suck” chant. This is a non-title match. Talon immediately attacks Croc. Talon used the early attack as leverage to control the match till the end but Croc wouldn’t lay down and kept kicking out much to the chagrin of Talon. Just as time was getting ready to expire, Talon went for the Cold Stone only to have Croc reverse it and bodyslam him in the middle of the ring. The bell rang bringing this one to a draw finish. Talon wasn’t happy and stormed out. Croc celebrated with the fans for a few moments before heading to the back. (20 min draw)

GM Master Bull is in his office and says he’s flying to Tacoma on Sunday for an announcement that will affect that roster but he says he will wait to tell the roster first before announcing it to the public.

It’s time for the next match. First, Steel Curtain member Buzz Steel comes out and the pop he got was almost on par with Croc’s. He too celebrates with the fans before Otto Ruthless’ music interrupts and he makes his way down to the ring. Otto tried to attack Buzz before the bell but Buzz sent him flying over the top rope. Otto slammed his hands on the mat a couple of times before finally entering the ring. Otto opened a can of Ruthless Aggression early on Buzz and it didn’t do him any favors after Otto hit a low blow. Just like the last match, Buzz kept kicking out of Otto’s pin attempts. Finally at the 17 minute mark, Otto drops Buzz with a short clothesline and then rolls Buzz up but then puts his feet on the second rope for leverage. Buzz was not able to kick out before the ref’s hand hit the mat for the 3rd time. Otto steals a win and actually showboats in the ring. (17 min) Buzz got up and thought about attacking him but then pointed to his head. He walked over to Otto and extended his hand. Otto guffawed and was ready to leave but Buzz was saying “no hard feelings…I probably would have done the same.” He extended his hand again and this time Otto went to grab it but he pulled Buzz in close…and THAT was his mistake. Buzz immediately dropped Otto with the Buzzkill and the fans popped HUGE for it. Buzz laughed and left the ring and made his way to the back. Otto, outsmarted, recovered and finally left.

We go back to Bull’s office and he tells us that our ladies match of the evening will be a fatal four way to determine who the #1 contender to the Ladies Championship will be. Candice Charisma, who is supposed to be on the Tacoma roster, storms into Bull’s office bitching about the fact that she wasn’t in this match despite having one of the best records in the Ladies division. Bull tells her that she lost to the Duchess and she had her shot. Candice screams she was robbed by the Duchess but Bull said “sometimes, that’s the way the game is played.” Candice turns to leave and mumbles “Oh, if it’s a game, then it’s ON!”

The next match is ready to go. This will be a Fatal 4 way to determine #1 contender to the Ladies title. Scarlett Phoenix comes out first to a pop from the crowd. She is followed out by Madame Jade who also gets a pop. Third out is Starr Vixen and she also is received well by the crowd. Finally, Taylor Bella comes out and the fans boo. They get even louder when her manager Figgy Newton (sorry, we’re giving up on calling him Figaroa so he can just suck it). Figgy accompanies her to the ring but the ref immediately send him to the back. Taylor tried to complain but it didn’t do any good. Scarlett Phoenix and Taylor actually took the fight to the outside of the ring so they didn’t add much to the match. That left Madame Jade and Starr Vixen to duke it out and that they did. Starr didn’t do a clean break in the corner and that irked Jade a bit. Jade then dropped Starr’s throat on the top rope and Starr shot back into the ring. Jade went for the quick cover and got the 3 count! Madame Jade gets the win and now is the #1 contender to the Duchess’ title. (9 min)

A vignette airs on the Omegatron and it’s none other than our new King, the Ragin Cajun King Rad Gumbo. The fans go sour and boo so loud that if there was any audio playing, there is no way we could have heard it. The clip shows Gumbo winning the crown and then the words appear on the screen “King Rad Gumbo will be LIVE in Tacoma in 4 short days. Be ready.” The fans continue to boo until the match is ready to begin.

Our next match is tag team action. The Ryzing Storm (Terra and Tyler Ryzing) come out first and they are on the receiving end of the booing aimed at King Rad. Next, the Ambassador comes out and the fans pop knowing that the Tag Team Champions Elitism (Reid and Roderick Rothchild) come out and head to the ring. The titles are not on the line for this match. This was a really short one. Terra and Reid started off and Terra controlled the match but then he went over to showboat in Roderick’s corner and Rod popped him a good one. Terra stumbled back to the center of the ring and Reid knocked him down and then locked in the Figure Four Reidlock. Roderick charged across the ring and took out Travis. Terra, with no one to save him, tapped out. Elitism gets the win in only 3 minutes. The fans pop for them and they, along with their manager leave. Travis and Terra eventually left also.

We cut back to Master Bull who tells us that the match between Sonic Blade and Wilber Townsend will be a 60 minute Iron man match and neither man will be allowed to go for a pin or submission for the first 45 minutes. He wants an end to this feud and he can’t think of a better way to make it happen.

We go back to the ring and the Banker along with his manager Ruth Heartless comes out first and they are booed all the way down to the ring. Next, Phat Sol comes out to a pop from the crowd and he is carrying his contract match for the TV title. As he begins to make his way down to the ring, the Unknown Assassin runs in and attacks Phat. He throws Phat first into the steel steps before wrapping Phat’s arm around the steel post twice. Security comes out and escorts the Unknown Assassin away. The Banker gets on the mic and says that if Phat can’t wrestle then he wins by default. Phat says he’ll wrestle. The match begins and the Banker immediately goes after the bum arm. Phat catches the Banker off the ropes with a back elbow and Phat goes down in pain. The Banker then goes over and locks on the ATM Fee Armbar. He wrenches it in and Phat has no choice but to tap out. The Banker gets the win via submission in only 3 minutes but he now gets the contract for the TV title. He laughs and celebrates until ‘Top Gun’ Justin Winger runs down and the Banker hightails it to the top of the stage…only without the briefcase. Winger smiles and picks up the briefcase, takes out the contract and signs HIS name to it. Winger just outsmarted the Banker and now is next in line for the TV title. The Banker is pissed and rushes down to the ring and stops to grab a chair from ringside but Winger takes off through the crowd laughing all the way…to the bank.

We go back to Max’s office (for the final time?) and he says that because of their attack on Max, it will be Graham’s Ghouls in the Elimination chamber. Graham will be sequestered in a shark cage above the ring to keep him for interfering. He now needs to find a team to take them on. He wants the team to be the Steel Curtain and Biceps Bannerman but says he has to make it “fair” so each of them will have to earn their qualifying spot in the chamber. Bull ends with if one member of the Ghouls doesn’t get the win for his team then they will be stripped of the titles and a new tournament will be held to crown new champs.

It’s now time for the Main Event: Wilber Townsend vs Sonic Blade in a 60 min iron man match. Neither man can go for a pin or submission for 45 minutes. First, Wilber comes out first and the fans boo him all the way to the ring. Next, Sonic Blade comes out and the fans pop for him. Once both men were in the ring (Wilber took his time getting into the ring – “Tell him to back up”) this one finally got underway. These two practically beat the living hell out of each other and even though they hit their specialty moves quite often, they were not allowed to go for a pin or submission until the 45 minute mark. Finally, we got to that point and both men were wearing crimson masks. We join the match in the final moments.
