HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2024 #1023 – 7/27/24

Hello wrestling fans and welcome back to another installment of the HCW Wrestling Newsletter.  On the show tonight, Luna and Goldie team up to take on the Cummings twins.  The Orange Fusion Force will be in action also. In our main event, the Tag Team Champions, the New Sicilians, take on the Dynamic Duo with the titles on the line.  All this and more will be on tonight’s show so let’s get this party started.

Pyro goes off starting off the event.  GM Max McGillicutty comes out to a nice welcome from the crowd.  Max says he has some news to share and wants the fans to hear it first.  HCW will be stretching its wings and will be hitting the road once again for two remote shows that will take place in Orlando, FL and one in Miami.  The fans pop huge at the announcement.  Max continues by adding in that for the month of August, all champions will be required to defend their titles twice…once during the month and once again at the Reign of Champions PPV on 8/30.  He ends with there is a lot to get to tonight so he’s going to head to the back so the show can officially begin.

Backstage, the OFF (Orange Fusion Force) combo of TV Champion Owen Zestwell and Julius Squeezer are being interviewed for their match before their match tonight against the Flaggship (Col. Flagg and Rex Rampage).  Owen comments that Evan Stockwell was running his mouth the other day and tells him to mind his own business before he starts involving himself in others.

Match #1:  Apollo Gyze vs OP Cunningham.

Otis Peabody Cunningham comes out first to a huge pop from the crowd.  The fans cheer him on as he makes his way to the ring.  As he is making his way around the ring interacting with the fans, his music is shut off and replaced with “APOLLO GYZE DON’T APOLOGIZE” and the annoying one makes his way to massive booing from the crowd.  HA!  Get this…he is wearing a combination of red and yellow making up two pretty famous comic characters who just had their movie released this week.  This irritated the fans even more and they got louder as he passed by on his way to the ring.  He stopped in front of one fan who held a sign that read “Apollo is my dad…or is it Virgil?” and he snatched it and tore it all up and threw it back at the fan.  He made his way into the ring where OP was waiting.  After a lot of hemming and hawing, finally, the match began.

The match was pretty even until the 12 minute mark and OP began dominating.  Apollo would not have any of that and he hit a low blow on OP before hitting a Spin Out Powerbomb and makes the cover.  He hooked the tights as the ref’s hand hit the mat for the 1-2-3.  Apollo gets the win and the fans are vocal in a very negative way.  Apollo gets on the mic and tells the fans to shut their faces while he talks.  The crowd screams over him and he can’t seem to get a word in.  Just then, Alejandro comes out and stands on stage.  He sees Apolo getting frustrated and begins laughing at Apollo.  Apollo throws down the mic and storms to the back.  By the time he got to the stage, Guerrero was already gone.

Backstage, Tommy ‘the Morningstar’ Sullivan is being interviewed and he says that he’s been a bit of a slump as of late but he promises he’s going back after the Hardcore title.  He tells Jax to get the belt ready for him.

Match #2:  The Orange Fusion Force (Owen Zestwell & Julius Squeezer) vs the Flaggship (Col Flagg & Rex Rampage).

The Flaggship come out first to booing from the crowd.  Flagg flips off the crowd as usual and marches down with his enforcer Rex Rampage at his side.  They get into the ring and get mouthy with the fans until the music changed and out comes the Orange Fusion Force.  The TV Champion Owen Zestwell and Julius Squeezer get a solid pop from the crowd as they make their way to the ring.  Before they can enter, the Flaggship attack them beating them down before the bell even rang.  Owen and Julius are thrown into the ring and the bell finally sounds starting this one off.  Julius received more of the beatdown so Owen said he’d start off until Julius felt ok.  For 2 minutes, Owen was on the receiving end but then shook it off and battled back against Flagg.  ‘The Bounty Hunter’ Jake Montrose came out and distracted Rex first by ramming him into the steel post and then dumping him into the audience before jumping the barrier and taking off himself.  Owen and Julius got a double team in but at the 6 minute mark, Owen hits the Jersey Driver and makes the cover securing the 1-2-3.  The Orange Fusion Force gets the win and the fans pop.  Owen gets on the mic and says he enjoys being in a tag team and also enjoys representing as the TV Champion.  He says that Evan Stockwell has been speaking out the other side of his ass and really should mind what is going on with the Banker before he starts something with him (Owen).  The OFF then leave and head to the back.  Flagg finds and helps Rex to the back.

Backstage, Luna Shadow and Goldie Locks say they are ready for their match against the Cummings twins.  Luna says they agreed to the no DQ match to prevent the twin cowards from intentionally getting disqualified or running away with their tails tucked between their legs.  Goldie adds that since they like to do the double switcheroo, they have something special planned.  They then walk off camera.

Match #3:  Tommy Sullivan vs Freedom Fighter Justice

Freedom Fighter Justice comes out first to a pop from the crowd.  He makes his way to the ring and starts to get the crowd psyched up.  Next, the Morningstar makes his way out and the fans boo.  The Ambassador accompanies him.  They make their way to the ring and Tommy enters.  Tommy starts off with a Figure Four Armbar.  He neutralizes a leg grapevine from Justice.  Tommy drags Justice out of the ring and piledrives him on the floor.  He rolled back in but the ref spent more time chastising Tommy for this so when he started to count, Justice was up and back in by the count of 4.   Justice locks in an armbar.  Tommy drags him to the ropes to break the hold and the Ambassador jumps up on the apron and goes to hit Justice but he moves and the Ambassador hits the ref who immediately disqualifies Tommy.  Justice gets the DQ win in 5 minutes after executing ONE offensive move.  Tommy, frustrated, leaves.  The Ambassador follows.

Backstage, the Dynamic Duo are being interviewed.  They say they have earned this spot and will bring an end to the New Sicilians and win the Tag Team titles for the fans

Match #4:  Luna Shadow and Goldie Locks vs the Cummings twins – No DQ

Betsy and Felicia, the twins, make their way out first to booing from the hometown crowd.  They look on the fans with disdain and head to the ring.  They enter through the ropes and continue to taunt the fans.  The music changed and the fans pop as Luna Shadow and Goldie Locks come out…but they look different.  Luna and Goldie have changed their looks to make them look like twins which puts the real twins off their game.  They smile as they make their way down.  The match begins quickly with Goldie and Luna controlling the pace early by keeping the twins off their game but as time went on, the twins found their groove and began taking the match back to their challengers.  At the 17 minute mark, the twins double teamed Luna after they knocked Goldie from the apron to the floor but as she went down, she hit the steel steps getting injured.  Luna gets hit by a neckbreaker and then Betsy does a rolling leglock and with a hook of the tights, she gets the 1-2-3.  The fans are not happy.  Betsy and Felicia mock the fans by cheering for themselves.  Goldie gets back in the ring with a steel chair and chases the twins from the ring.  Luna makes it to her feet and says that there is only ONE way to bring this feud to an end.  Before she can say what it is, Felicia gets on the mic cutting her off.  “Hold on, hold on.  I know where you’re going but look at the stats first.  We both beat you two in singles action and now, we defeated you in tag team action.  Why should we want to consider anything further?”  Before Goldie speaks, she whispers something to Luna who nods in agreement.  “We’ll make this interesting for you.  Each of us will take you both on in individual handicap matches.  If we each win our handicap match, we get the match we want.”  Betsy smirks “So you want to take us on in 2 on 1 matches AND if you win, we do this specialty match?  YOUR ON!”  Luna takes the mic.  “Just so you know, once we get our wins, we will see you again….inside a STEEL CAGE!”  The fans pop as the twins’ smirks turn into scowls and back up the ramp.  Luna and Goldie whisper something to each other and then they leave the ring.

[Backstage, the camera focuses on the New Sicilians, ‘Dirty’ Dick Albano and ‘Vicious’ Vinnie Albano, standing confidently with their HCW World Tag Team Championship belts over their shoulders. Their manager, Pierre Boulay, stands between them, a smug look on his face.]

Pierre Boulay: “Ladies and gentlemen, feast your eyes on the most dominant tag team in HCW history—the New Sicilians! Tonight, these champions defend their titles against the so-called Dynamic Duo. Chris ‘Thunderstrike’ Thompson and Mike ‘the Rebel’ Matthews, you boys are in way over your heads.”

‘Dirty’ Dick Albano: “Thunderstrike, Rebel, you think you can step into our ring and take these titles from us? Think again. We’ve crushed every team that’s come our way, and tonight will be no different.”

‘Vicious’ Vinnie Albano: “That’s right, Dick. You two are just another set of victims for the Albano Family. We’re not just champions; we’re the best this business has to offer. And with Pierre by our side, there’s no stopping us.”

Pierre Boulay: “The Dynamic Duo may have their flashy moves and their fan support, but they lack the one thing that makes us unbeatable—ruthlessness. We play by our own rules, and tonight, we’ll show the world why the New Sicilians are the undisputed champions.”

[The camera zooms in on the New Sicilians, their faces full of confidence and determination.]

‘Dirty’ Dick Albano: “Thunderstrike, Rebel, get ready for the fight of your lives. When we’re done with you, you’ll wish you never stepped foot in our ring.”

‘Vicious’ Vinnie Albano: “Tonight, the New Sicilians reign supreme. And there’s nothing you can do about it.”

Pierre Boulay: “Prepare to be outclassed, outmatched, and outdone. The New Sicilians are here to stay, and there’s no force in HCW that can change that.”

[The promo ends with the New Sicilians and Pierre Boulay walking off, ready to defend their titles and prove their dominance once again.]

Match #5:  The Main Event:  For the World Tag Team Titles:  The New Sicilians w/ Pierre Boulay vs the Dynamic Duo.

The match begins with the Dynamic Duo – Mike Matthews and Chris Thompson – making their way out to a huge pop from the crowd. They interact with the fans as they make their way to the ring.  Once in the ring, they continue to get the crowd excited for the match.  It all goes south when the Tag Team Champions – the New Sicilians – Dick and Vinnie Albano – make their way out with their manager Pierre Boulay.  Pierre is carrying a portrait of Capt. Lou who is pointing – signifying he is there for his family.  They make their way to the ring and the booing just intensifies.  Dick and Vinnie have choice words for the fans and make their way into the ring. They each climb a corner turnbuckle holding their title high and the fans get even louder.  They step down and hand the belts to the ref who holds them out and then hands them to the ring attendant. Pierre takes Lou’s portrait and exits the ring.  The bell rings and this one begins.

The match began with intense energy as Thunderstrike and Rebel showcased their high-flying and hard-hitting moves, putting the champions on the defensive. However, the New Sicilians, with their cunning tactics and ruthless aggression, quickly turned the tide.  Vinnie took out Chris by attacking him with a chair and DDT-ing him on the floor taking him out of the match.

Pierre Boulay, the Sicilians’ manager, played a crucial role, distracting the referee at key moments to give his team the upper hand. Despite the underhanded tactics, the Dynamic Duo fought valiantly, thrilling the crowd with their resilience and teamwork. The Rebel’s  electrifying moves and rebellious spirit kept the audience on the edge of their seats.

The turning point came when the New Sicilians managed to isolate Mike Matthews. In a brutal double-team maneuver, they sent him crashing into the steel steps outside the ring, effectively ending his offense. With Thunderstrike still incapacitated, the Sicilians focused their assault on Rebel. Despite his best efforts, Rebel couldn’t overcome the two-on-one disadvantage and finally succumbed to a Superkick from Vinnie and got pinned.

The New Sicilians get the win and although the match was over, Dick and Vinnie kept up the assault on Matthews until Steel Justice – Kellyn Chrisari and Alex Justice came out and chased the champs out of the ring.  The champs cursed at the interference and yelled that they would make them pay for sticking their noses into their business.  Mike and Chris shook the hands of Steel Justice and the show came to an end with all four men celebrating with the fans.

Lots more to come so stay tuned.

Hello fans and welcome to another installment of the HCW Wrestling Newsletter.  Tonight, we are proud to bring you Saturday Night Showdown – a ‘supershow’ of sorts.  Tonight on the card, Mr. X and Biceps Bannerman will have a no DQ match; The Rich Athlete and Zack Brown each will recruit a tag team partner for a tag match; the Dynamic Duo faces off with the Fangs of Despair to see who becomes the #1 contender for the Tag Team Titles; Goldie Locks takes on Felicia cummings; Dominic Marconi faces off against Vinnie Albano; and lastly, Ladies Champion Korbi Kong takes on Luciana Albano as part of Luciana’s rematch clause.  The show will be a doozy so let’s get the party started.

Match #1:  Vinnie Albano w/ Pierre Boulay vs Dominic Marconi

‘The Italian Thoroughbred’ Dominic Marconi comes out first to a huge pop from the crowd.  He stops and shakes hands with the fans as he heads to the ring.  He enters and then climbs to the second turnbuckle and poses as the fans pop again.  He steps down and begins stretching to loosen up.  The music changes and the fans’ demeanor changes as ‘Vicious’ Vinnie Albano comes out with his manager Pierre Boulay who is carrying a portrait of Capt. Lou.   The fans boo them as they head to the ring.  Vinnie threatens to hit a couple of fans but Pierre stops him.  The enter the ring and Vinnie flips off Dominic before climbing the turnbuckle himself but the reaction he got was quite the opposite that Dominic got.  The bell rings and this one begins.

Match #2:  Finals to name new #1 tag team contenders:  Dynamic Duo vs Fangs of Despair w/the Ambassador.

“VAMPIRE LUNGES FOR EVERYBODY” echoes from the loudspeakers as the Fangs of Despair – Dr. Red Fang and Nightfang – make their way out with their manager the Ambassador.  The trio are booed heavily as they make their way to the ring.  They instantly began mouthing off to the crowd when the music changed and out comes the Dynamic Duo – Mike Matthews and Chris Thompson.  The fans pop for the Dynamic Duo as they make their way out.  They shake hands with the fans and then enter the ring keeping a wary eye on the sneaky manager.  They don’t have to wait long for the bell to ring starting the match.

This match saw the Fangs of Despair dominate the match early thanks to the Ambassador’s involvement.  It wasn’t until 17 minutes in that the Dynamic Duo finally had enough of the Ambassador’s cheating and handcuffed him to the ringside barrier taking him out  of the match. Match #3:   No DQ match between Mr. X and Biceps Bannerman

This one has bad blood written all over it.  In their last encounter, Mr. X got fed up and walked out of their match at the 5 minute mark but then attacked Biceps backstage in two different encounters which leads us to this match.  Biceps doesn’t want Mr. X tucking tail and running away again so he asked for this stipulation but it seemed like it played right into Mr. X’s hands.  Biceps Bannerman comes out first to a solid pop from the crowd.  He high fives with the fans and makes his way into the ring.  His music abruptly changes and Mr. X comes out.  The fans boo the crap out of him.  He flips them off with a smile on his face.  He gets down to the ring and climbs the steel steps and enters the ring.  He begins mouthing off to Biceps and then attacks him from behind to start the match.

Mr. X started strong with a series of powerful moves, including a devastating barefoot kick that set the tone for the match. Biceps Bannerman fought back valiantly, executing impressive maneuvers like the throw out of the ring and the spinebuster, but Mr. X’s relentless offense kept him on the defensive.

As the match progressed, both wrestlers exchanged blows and near falls, with Mr. X attempting multiple pins. Biceps Bannerman showed incredible resilience, kicking out of several pin attempts and countering with his own high-impact moves. However, the turning point came when Mr. X discreetly put something on his foot before delivering another barefoot kick. This time, the kick knocked Biceps Bannerman out cold, allowing Mr. X to secure the pin and claim victory.

The crowd was left in shock as Mr. X celebrated his controversial win, leaving everyone wondering what exactly he had used to gain the upper hand. This match will undoubtedly be remembered for its intensity and the dramatic finish that saw Mr. X emerge victorious.

Mr. X gets the win and laughs his evil laugh since he could not get disqualified for using any foreign objects (which he says was only a foot stabilizer).  He made his way to the back laughing as medics had to come out and help Biceps to the back.  We’re sure this is not over…not by a long shot.

Match #4:  Goldie Locks vs Felicia Cummings.

Felicia and her diabolical twin Betsy came out to massive booing from the crowd.  The mockingly blew kisses to the crowd which just infuriated them.  Betsy went to sit at commentary while Felicia entered the ring and kept mocking the crowd.  The fans pop as the music changed and out comes Goldie Locks.  Goldie makes her way out and the fans pop as she comes out from behind the curtain.  Felicia gives her nasty stares from the ring.  Goldie makes her way to the ring and then around ringside stopping at commentary.  She warns Betsy to stay out of her match.   She gets in the ring and the match is ready to begin.

Goldie Locks and Felicia Cummings clashed in a match filled with high-flying maneuvers and technical prowess. Goldie Locks started strong with a one-handed bulldog, setting the pace early on. Felicia Cummings fought back with a front facelock, but Goldie’s resilience shone through as she executed a double wrist clutch pin and a tilt-a-whirl headscissors.

Throughout the match, Felicia’s twin sister, Betsy Cummings, was seated at commentary, adding tension with her presence. Betsy attempted to interfere multiple times, but the referee managed to stop her each time, maintaining the integrity of the match. Despite these distractions, Goldie continued to dominate with moves like the lock breaker and the twin city twister surfboard.

As the match neared its climax, Goldie hurled Felicia out of the ring, nearly securing a count-out victory. Felicia’s attempts to regain control were thwarted by Goldie’s relentless offense. However, the turning point came when Betsy finally managed to get involved, jumping into the ring and attacking Goldie alongside Felicia. This blatant outside interference led to Felicia’s disqualification, awarding the victory to Goldie Locks.

Betsy and Felicia continued the beatdown on Goldie.

[Luna Shadow storms into the ring with a chair, chasing Betsy and Felicia Cummings out. The crowd roars as she grabs a microphone and hands it to Goldie Locks.]

Goldie Locks: “Betsy, Felicia, you two think you can just interfere in my matches and get away with it? Well, guess what? You’ve messed with the wrong people! Luna and I are tired of your dirty tricks and cowardly tactics.”

[Luna Shadow takes the mic, her eyes blazing with determination.]

Luna Shadow: “That’s right, Goldie! You two have been a thorn in our side for too long. It’s time to settle this once and for all. Next show, we challenge you to a tag team match! Goldie Locks and Luna Shadow versus the Cummings Twins!”

[The crowd erupts in cheers as Betsy and Felicia, now at the entrance ramp, grab a microphone.]

Betsy Cummings: “You want a tag team match? You got it! But don’t think for a second that you’ll come out on top. We’re going to show you why we’re the most dominant force in HCW!”

Felicia Cummings: “Get ready, because next show, the Cummings Twins are going to teach you a lesson you’ll never forget!”

[Goldie and Luna stand tall in the ring, staring down the twins as the crowd chants their names, setting the stage for an epic showdown.]

We cut backstage where the New Sicilans have attacked and laid out the Dynamic Duo.  As they were walking off, Dick states “That’s how we do it…mafia style”.  Vinnie promises to mop the mat with them.

Match #5:   The Rich Athlete & Evan Stockwell vs Zack Brown and a mystery partner.

The US Champion Zack Brown comes out first to a huge pop from the crowd.  He stands on the stage.  He has a mic in hand.  He says that there is only one person in HCW who hates the Million Dollar Alliance more than him and it’s this man….out comes The Banker!   He gets on the mic and says that if the fans want to cheer or boo him, it doesn’t matter.  What does matter is that he inflicts as much damage as humanly possible on Evan Stockwell.  And if Ruth sticks her nose in where it doesn’t belong, he’ll rearrange it.  They head to the ring.  Once in the ring, the music changes and out comes Ruth Heartless.  She is not happy with the comments made by the Banker.  She introduces the Million Dollar Alliance and out comes former TV Champion Evan Stockwell and the Rich Athlete.  Evan promises he’ll deal with the Banker and then tells Owen not to f**k (censors blocked it) up his title.  The Rich Athlete promises that Zack will only know pain and suffering while he holds the US title.  He promises to be the man to help him with that burden.  They head to the ring and enter through the ropes.  Ruth hands the ref “Slow Count Sam” something before leaving the ring.  The bell rings starting this one off.

The match started with the Rich Athlete delivering a powerful shin breaker, but the Banker quickly countered with his signature Interest Rate Inverted Facelock. The action intensified as Evan Stockwell tagged in and executed a series of moves, including a slam into the turnbuckle and a “Bull” Press.

Throughout the match, Ruth Heartless, the Alliance’s manager, played a crucial role. She provided strategic advice and even smacked the Banker with his own briefcase, giving her team an edge. Despite this, Zack Brown and the Banker fought valiantly, with Zack executing a K-9 Clutch and a Paratrooper Plunge, while the Banker landed several high-impact moves like the Repossession Rib-Buster.  The Rich Athlete snuck out of the ring pulling Zack off the apron and slamming his head into the steel post busting him open and taking him out of the match.  He hurried back to his corner.

The match reached its climax when Ruth Heartless pointed out a weakness in the Banker, allowing Evan Stockwell to capitalize. In a controversial finish, Stockwell pinned the Banker with his feet on the ropes and grabbing the tights, securing the victory for the Million Dollar Alliance.

The Million Dollar Alliance gets the win and the fans are not happy about it.  They voice their displeasure loudly.  Ruth laughs as they make their way to the back.  They may have stolen a win here but this is far from over.

[Backstage, the camera focuses on Luciana Albano and her manager Pierre Boulay. Luciana looks determined, while Pierre has a confident smirk on his face.]

Luciana Albano: “Tonight, at Saturday Night Showdown, I reclaim what is rightfully mine. Korbi Kong, you may have taken the Ladies title from me, but that was a fluke. I am the true champion, and tonight, I will prove it.”

Pierre Boulay: “Korbi, you have no idea what you’re in for. Luciana is more focused and dangerous than ever. This rematch will be the end of your fairytale reign. Prepare to be dethroned by the most dominant force in HCW.”

[The camera then shifts to Korbi Kong, who is standing confidently with the Ladies title over her shoulder. She exudes strength and determination.]

Korbi Kong: “Luciana, you wanted a rematch? Tonight, you got it. But let me make one thing clear: I didn’t win this title by accident. I earned it, and I will defend it with everything I’ve got. You and Pierre can bring all the tricks you want, but it won’t change the outcome.”

[Korbi pauses, looking directly into the camera.]

Korbi Kong: “Tonight, I fight for every fan who believes in me. I fight for the honor of this title. Luciana, you better be ready, because I’m not just defending a championship—I’m defending my legacy.”

[The camera fades out as both teams prepare for their highly anticipated rematch, the tension palpable in the air.]

Match #6:  The Main Event:  Ladies Title match:  Korbi Kong © vs Luciana Albano w/ Pierre Boulay in a rematch for the title

Luciana comes out first to the loudest booing from the crowd this evening.  Luciana and Pierre head to the ring and purpously stop at the Clan Kong fan section and she snatches a few ‘Korbi Rules’ signs and shreds them before throwing the contents back at them.  She and Pierre continue to the ring and enter through the ropes.  Luciana is booed heavily as she stand tall in the center of the ring.  Next, we hear “KORBI KONG SMASH” and the fans explode with cheers as the Ladies Champion makes her way out.  She stands on the stage and then heads right to Clan Kong.  She grabs a few of the shredded pieces of paper and signs them for the fans whose signs these were.  She heads to the ring and cautiously enters.  She climbs the second turnbuckle and holds her title high.  She points to the crowd and then to her title and herself.  She steps down and hands the title to the ref.  She has a look of detmerination on her face and Luciana is like an angry green giant.

With that, the show comes to an end but we know as we head towards our next PPV Reign of Champions, there is still a lot that can happen so stay tuned.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2024 #1021 – 7/14/24

Hello fans and welcome to another installment of the HCW Wrestling Newsletter.  We have some great action set up for you tonight.  The Rich Athlete will be in singles action; we will have a 4 team tournament to crown #1 contenders to the Tag Team Titles; in our main event, World Champion Jack Lumber takes on former US Champion Dennis Marshall.  Let’s get right to the action.

Match #1:  Luna Shadow vs Betsy Cummings

In an intense showdown, Luna Shadow faced off against Betsy Cummings, with Betsy’s twin Felicia lurking at ringside. Luna started strong, delivering powerful moves like the Twilight Powerbomb and Starafall DDT, showcasing her agility and strength. Betsy, however, matched her with equally fierce maneuvers, including a Sitout Facebuster and Front Facelock. The match saw a series of high-impact exchanges, with Luna executing a stunning Midnight Moonsault and a Springboard Corkscrew Armdrag, while Betsy absorbed the punishment but kept fighting back.

As the match progressed, Luna attempted several pinfalls, but Betsy resiliently kicked out each time. Despite Luna’s relentless efforts and impressive moves like the Abyssal Lock and Nightfall Neckbreaker, Betsy managed to secure the victory with a cunning strategy, executed an illegal switch rollup with her sister Felicia, catching Luna off guard. The match ended with Betsy pinning Luna, leaving the audience in shock.  The twins got out of there in quick fashion laughing all the way to the back.  Luna, pissed, followed shortly thereafter.

Our next match begins with the ever-annoying “APOLLO GYZE DON’T APOLOGIZE” blaring from the loudspeakers.  The crowd boos the holy hell out of Apollo and he mostly ignores them…except for one fan sitting at ringside.  Apollo approached a fan who was wearing a shirt that read “The Crow Master” and had some major words for this young man.  We don’t know why Apollo took offense to this person but it got him all riled up.   The music changed and out comes Alejandro Guerrero, one third of the Six Man Tag Team Champions. Alejandro stops by the fans and gives him a high five for standing up to Apollo and gets in the ring.

Match #2:   Alejandro Guerrero vs Apollo Gyze

Alejandro started strong with a powerful Latino Uppercut, but Apollo quickly retaliated with a Spin-Out Powerbomb. The match was a back-and-forth battle, with both wrestlers showcasing their impressive skills. Alejandro's Missile Dropkick and Tornado DDT were met with Apollo's Flying Dropkick and Delayed Vertical Suplex, keeping the audience on the edge of their seats.

As the match progressed, Alejandro's relentless offense, including his signature Latino Uppercut and Lie, Cheat, & Steal move, began to wear down Apollo. Despite Apollo's resilience and his own high-impact moves, Alejandro's determination shone through. The turning point came in the final moments when Apollo, frustrated and desperate, confronted the fan (again) at ringside wearing a "The Crow Master" t-shirt. The fan, not backing down, slugged Apollo, sending him reeling back into the ring.

Seizing the opportunity, Alejandro executed his final move, the Triple Rolling Vertical Suplex, and pinned Apollo for the victory. The crowd erupted in cheers as Alejandro emerged victorious.  Apollo got out of there and made his way to the back.  Alejandro invited the fan to join him in the ring and the crowd popped for both of them.  The fan went back to his seat and Alejandro headed to the back.

Backstage, Biceps Bannerman is being interviewed and he says he wants Mr. X in a rematch after the cowardly attack.  Mr. X jumps in and attacks Biceps again but this time, the big man was ready for it and fought back.  Mr. X agreed to the match.  Both men were separated and went their own way.

Match #3: Tag Team Tournament to crown #1 contenders to the Tag championship

Dynamic Duo vs the 5th Column

The Dynamic Duo, Chris "Thunderstrike" Thompson and Mike 'the Rebel' Matthews, faced off against the 5th Column, Baron Von Blood (Reinhardt Schmitt) and Oswald Zimmerman (The Iron Cross), in a qualification match for the #1 contender spot for the tag team titles. From the outset, the Dynamic Duo dominated with double-team tactics, showcasing moves like vertical suplexes, superkicks, and elbow smashes. Baron Von Blood absorbed heavy punishment early on and eventually tagged out to Oswald Zimmerman.

Zimmerman brought a brief resurgence for the 5th Column, executing powerful moves like a choke and a German suplex, but the Dynamic Duo kept up their relentless offense. Thunderstrike's DDT and Matthews' face stomp maintained their momentum, with several pin attempts highlighting their control of the match. Despite efforts from Baron Von Blood and Zimmerman to fight back, the coordinated attacks and superior teamwork of the Dynamic Duo proved too much.

Near the end, Thunderstrike's dropkick nearly secured the victory, leading to a final tag to Matthews. The Rebel executed a shoulder breaker on Zimmerman, securing the pinfall and the win for the Dynamic Duo. With this victory, Thompson and Matthews move one step closer to challenging for the tag team titles, firmly establishing themselves as a dominant force in the division.

Match #4:  Tag Team Tournament to crown #1 contenders to the Tag championship

Steel Justice vs the Fangs of Despair

The second qualifying match for the #1 contenders for the tag team titles saw Steel Justice, comprising Kellyn "The Raven Archer" Chrisari and Alex "Skyhawk" Justice, face off against the Fangs of Despair, featuring Dr. Red Fang and Nightfang. The arena roared to life with so much heat when the loudspeakers blared "VAMPIRE LUNGES FOR EVERYBODY," heralding the arrival of the Fangs. The match began with Dr. Red Fang delivering a powerful Vampire Lunge to Kellyn Chrisari, setting the tone for a fierce contest.

Despite absorbing early punishment, Chrisari managed to tag in Alex Justice, who executed a stunning Wings Embrace Flying Crossbody. Dr. Red Fang and Nightfang employed brutal tactics, including the Spider Web Leglock and double-team maneuvers, keeping the pressure on Steel Justice. Nightfang's relentless attacks, like the Airplane Spin, further wore down their opponents.

Managers on both sides played crucial roles. Steel Justice’s manager, The Shadow Master, pointed out weaknesses, aiding their team's brief comebacks. Meanwhile, the Fangs' manager, the Ambassador, orchestrated strategic interventions that disrupted Steel Justice's momentum.

The turning point came when Dr. Red Fang and Nightfang double-teamed Alex Justice, combining a Dropkick Out of the Ring with a Skull Crusher. Although Justice managed to counter with another Wings Embrace Flying Crossbody, the relentless onslaught from Nightfang proved too much. The match concluded with Nightfang executing an Airplane Spin on Alex Justice, securing the pinfall victory.

The Fangs of Despair triumphed, earning the right to challenge the Dynamic Duo for the #1 contenders spot for the tag team titles. The Ambassador gets on the mic and states that the world is looking at the next World Tag Team Champions.  They leave as the crowd voices their displeasure at the Fangs’ win.

Match #5:  The Rich Athlete vs Ovaltine Jackson.

The match between the Rich Athlete, accompanied by Ruth Heartless, and Ovaltine Jackson was a fierce contest. The Rich Athlete, strutting to the ring in a sequined robe reminiscent of the Nature Boy Ric Flair, reveled in the boos from the crowd as he taunted them with his signature "Wooo!" Ovaltine Jackson started strong with an Oscar Sitout Rear Mat Slam, but the Rich Athlete quickly retaliated with a Million Dollar Kneedrop. The back-and-forth action continued with both wrestlers executing powerful moves, including Jackson's Spinebuster and the Rich Athlete's Pectoral Chop. The decisive moment came when the Rich Athlete delivered a Seven-Figure Suplex, securing the pinfall victory in only 5 minutes.

After the match, US Champion Zack "The Commando" Brown stormed to the ring, the fans popping huge for him, with a microphone in hand. "Rich Athlete, your arrogance is getting out of control!" Brown declared. "You think you're untouchable? Let's see how you fare in a tag team match next week. You find a partner, and I'll find one too."

The Rich Athlete, with a smug grin, grabbed the mic. "Commando, you want a piece of me? Wooo! You're on! I'll find the best partner money can buy, and we'll show you what real wrestling looks like."

Brown shot back, "I don't need money to find a partner, just respect and determination. See you in the ring, Athlete. Prepare to be humbled."

The crowd erupted, anticipating the high-stakes showdown to come. The Rich Athlete, ever the flamboyant showman, soaked in the attention, promising to show everyone why he's the best in the business.

Match #6:  World Title match Jack Lumber vs Dennis Marshall

It’s time for our Main Event.  First, Dennis Marshall, former US Champion, came out to what could have been the loudest booing of the night.  Fans in the Lumber Lounge taunted him with “You Lost” and that got under Dennis’ skin for sure.  He stormed to the ring ignoring the fans and entered through the ropes.  He stood in the center of the ring motioning he was going to be the new World Champion when the music changed and we hear “TIMMMBERRRRR” and out comes the flannel wearing lumberjack, our World Champion, Jack Lumber.  The fans pop became deafening as their hero came out.  He was visibly moved by the crowd and pointed to the crowd and pumped his fists in the air.  He began walking down to the ring stopping by the Lumber Lounge briefly before continuing on to the ring.  Dennis began yelling at Jack for ‘lumbering’ around and told him to get his ass in the ring.

After a grueling match, World Champion Jack Lumber stood victorious in the ring, having just successfully defended his title against Dennis Marshall. The crowd roared in approval as Lumber raised the championship belt high above his head, basking in the glory of his hard-fought victory. However, the celebration was abruptly interrupted when the lights dimmed, and eerie music filled the arena. The devious Wilber Townsend appeared on the big screen, his unsettling presence captivating the audience.

Wilber Townsend: (with a sinister smile) "Congratulations, Jack. You've done it again. But deep down, you know the truth. You know that I have your number.  I proved that when we fought over the US title."

The lights slowly came back up, revealing Townsend standing at the entrance ramp, holding a microphone. His eyes locked onto Lumber's, and the tension in the arena was palpable.

Jack Lumber: (raising his microphone) "Wilber, if you think you can scare me with your mind games, you're wrong. I've faced the best and beaten them all. You and I have tangled before so this time, and this time, I will be prepared for anything you might have.”

Wilber Townsend: (grinning wider) "Oh, Jack, it's not about fear. It's about inevitability. I've been watching you, studying you. And I see the cracks in your armor. At Reign of Champions on August 30th, I will exploit those cracks and take what's mine.  Consider this my official challenge for THAT title."

Lumber paced the ring, his eyes never leaving Townsend's.

Jack Lumber: "You want a shot at this title? You got it. At Reign of Champions, I’ll be ready. But let me make one thing clear—when we step into that ring, it won’t be about mind games. It’ll be about who has the heart and the will to win."

Townsend's grin widened as he backed away, his eerie demeanor unsettling the crowd even further.

Wilber Townsend: "Oh, Jack, you have no idea what’s coming. Enjoy your moment while it lasts. At Reign of Champions, your reign will end."

With that, Townsend slowly retreated, his eyes never leaving Lumber. The World Champion stood tall in the ring, defiantly raising his title once more as the crowd erupted in cheers. The show ended with Lumber celebrating with the fans, his determination unwavering as he prepared for the battle that awaited him at the Reign of Champions PPV.
