HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2016 #526

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  As we mentioned at our last show, our PPV is starting to take shape.

Something that transpired last show is what took place backstage after the Masked Gentleman came back with his title.  We cut to that video.

MG Walks back to the backstage area, and bypasses Max with his newly predicted title around his waist, he looks at Max, and says, "That lettering (pointing to “CHAMPION” on his dressing room door) is now going to be covered in Gold.”  He smirks and walks away heading to his dressing room as the closes the door behind him.

Tonight’s show begins backstage with the new Hardcore Champion the Masked Gentleman storming into GM Max McGillicutty’s office and is very upset that Texas Wildfire once again spoiled his moment.  MG says he’s angry (Hulk Smash) and demands a match tonight.  Max says he will add him to the card but MG must defend the Hardcore title tonight.  MG protests. "You cannot tell your Hardcore Champion what to do!  I could arrange a sit in!  Don’t force my hand!"  MG walks off back to his dressing room.   Max shakes his head.

The show kicks off with Ravishing Ruby Princess making her way down to the ring.  She is carrying a cardboard version of the Ladies title and acts like she’s the champion.  Her opponent comes out and it’s Scarlett Phoenix.  Scarlett owned the match and Ruby struggled to remember how to fight like Raquel does.  We actually passed the 20 minute mark but no one ended the match.  All of a sudden, the Ladies Champion Ravishing Raquel comes out and walks down to the ring.  Ruby is even more off her game now.  After dropping Scarlett with a lariat, she runs to the ropes but Raquel makes a swipe at her foot.  Ruby curses at Raquel before hitting the ropes and taking off again…right into a flying bodypress from Scarlett.  Scarlett made the cover and got the 1-2-3.  Raquel walks backwards up the ramp smiling as Ruby stares daggers at her from the ring.  (23 min)

Backstage, the Axe arrives and meets up with some of creative.  He hears them mention that the Shockmaster needs an opponent for tonight.  Axe walks over and volunteers.  Ok…he on the card tonight.

Our next match begins with the Hardcore Champion the Masked Gentleman making his way out first (odd that a champ comes out first…and that he doesn’t have his title).  He gets in the ring and makes hand gestures (not obscene though) to the fans.  Next, out comes Ferb Huber.  MG is in the ring and is pumping himself up.  Ferb enters the ring and just as the bell rings, MG runs into Ferb and then falls down.  Ferb makes the cover and gets the 1-2-3.  What the HELL?  Ferb asks for the Hardcore title but it’s not there.  All of a sudden, another person dressed as the Masked Gentleman comes out.  Again, What the HELL?  The first MG recovers and rolls out of the ring as MG#2 enters (with the Hardcore title I might add).  MG#1 removes his mask and it’s…LOL…Texas Wildfire!  The fans pop huge.  The ‘real’ Masked Gentleman yells at TW as he takes off to the back.  Ferb questions what just happened and the ref had to explain that wasn’t really a match.  The bell rings and this match (Brass Knuckles rules) starts off.  MG had the first couple of minutes but then Ferb got hold of the brass knucks and blasted MG with it but it didn’t take him out.  In fact, after kicking the knucks off of Ferb’s hand, MG took control of the match and beat him silly.  At the 11 minute mark, MG picked up the brass knucks and bloodied up poor Ferb.  MG then hits him with the Welcome Mat and followed it up with a Superplex.  MG made the cover and got the 1-2-3 giving him his first (hard fought) win as Hardcore Champion.  He took his title and went to the back.  (14 min)

Backstage, Pete the PUN-isher is being interviewed and he says he will give the “King of the Throne” his match at the PPV.  Pete adds “And just like his nickname alludes to, I will FLUSH Magnum once and for all.”

Next, we go back to the ring for our next match.  First, the Shockmaster comes out to a mostly negative reaction.  His opponent the Axe comes out next and is much better received.  Axe had control of the match for the first 7 minutes until Dr. Red Fang, accompanied by his manager Ant Graham, came out and stood on the ramp.  Neither Axe or Shockmaster knew why he was there.  Shockmaster hit the Wave of the Future but only got a 2 count.  Shockmaster then took control with Axe getting in some really good shots along the way.  After planting Shockmaster with a powerslam, he crouched down to set up the Axe.  Just as he was going to execute it, Dr. Red Fang ran down and grabbed his leg.  Axe managed to shake him off but not before Shockmaster caught him with a power clothesline.  Shockmaster made the cover and got the 1-2-3.  Shockmaster gets another rare win.  Fang gets in the ring as Shockmaster leaves and Fang picks up Axe before hitting him with the Vampire Lunge.  Fang climbs the turnbuckle and screams “Vampire Lunges for Everyone!”  He didn’t notice that Axe had recovered rather quickly.  Graham noticed it and bailed out of the ring.   Fang turned around only to take a knee to the stomach and a power punch to send him out of the ring.  Ant Graham gets on the mic calling Axe a thief for stealing this match (Fang was supposed to take on Shockmaster).  Axe tells Fang that if he wants a match, the two of them could have one right here and right now.  Graham says that would pander to the fans which they do not.  He suggests that the two of them meet in the ring at the PPV.  Axe accepts.  Fang and Graham leave while Fang snarls at Axe.  (20 min for the match; 5 for the extra segment)

Dude USA Mick Rude is in the house.  He says tonight he gets to take on Wilber Townsend and with another win, he guarantees himself a future title shot.

Madame Jade vs Betsy Cummings is the next match up.  Jade comes out first followed by Betsy.  For the first 4 minutes, Betsy controlled the tempo of the match limiting Jade to just one offensive move.  After that however, things changed and Jade exploded.  Betsy couldn’t keep up and so she signaled to her twin sister Felicia to come out but the ref was aware of what she was doing and banned Felicia from ringside.  As Betsy tried to complain, Madame Jade caught her with a springboard dropkick.  Jade quickly rolled Betsy up and go the 1-2-3.  Madame Jade is victorious.  Felicia then ran down trying to attack Jade but she quickly got out of the ring and Felicia & Betsy were left stewing in the ring. (17 min)

Backstage, TV Champion ScooterJ says he is the main event tonight and defends his title.  When asked about Reid Rothchild potentially returning, ScooterJ calls him washed up and a has-been.  Reid will never step foot in the ring with him again because next time, he will break his neck.

As we begin to wind down the show, our next match is ready to go.  Dude USA Mick Rude comes out first and he is followed by Wilber Townsend who surprisingly is accompanied to the ring by his cousins the Huber Clan.  Interesting to see the family united.  Dude doesn’t let the distraction get to him.  Mick took the match to Wilber and of course, Wilber had to cheat.  Just a few minutes in, Wilber tossed Mick to the outside of the ring where the Huber Clan beat him down while Wilber distracted the ref.  The family then left and Wilber stood back while the ref counted Dude USA out. Wilber gets the win via countout.  (4 ½ min)

The Masked Gentleman steps out of his dressing room to get the press pictures with his new title around his waist as well as maybe answering some press questions. MG states he will answer all questions except any about Texas Wildfire getting up in his business again. The first person asks about TW which gets MG irate and as he throws a chair at that press member, he screams "It's MY MOMENT! This Interview is OVER!!!" MG leaves and goes back into his dressing room.  Once back in his dressing room, he yells to one of the caterers to order him a prime rib and bill it to the GM.  A delivery man shows up at MG’s dressing room to deliver a keg (monthly).  He puts it on Max’s cc.

It is time for the main event.  First, the challenger Desperado member Leon Teremoto comes out.  Next, the TV Champion ScooterJ comes out all cocky.  ScooterJ definitely underestimated his opponent and Leon took advantage of that however the champ held the lead.  ScooterJ got a bit concerned after Leon hit a spinebuster.  Leon threw him into the corner and charged but ScooterJ caught him with a superkick and he quickly rolled Leon up and (with a foot on the ropes) got the win.  ScooterJ is victorious in his match.  All of a sudden, the Omegatron starts flashing like a strobe.  Once it settles down and the lights normalize, the champ turns around and standing in the ring is ‘the Elitist’ Reid Rothchild.  Reid and ScooterJ began trading punches until Reid nails ScooterJ with a Reidbottom and the champ rolls out of the ring.  Master Bull appears out of nowhere and stands with Reid.  ScooterJ makes his way up the ramp glaring at Reid as the show comes to an end.

Stay tuned for more action.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2016 #525

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  We at the HCW hope you had a fantastic Thanksgiving or whatever you may celebrate wherever you are.

The show begins with the Hardcore Champion the Fiend arriving to the arena.  He’s curious as to why some nobody called him out.  Ok, whatever.  He’ll just deal with him as he’s done with everyone else he’s faced.

Pyro goes off and our show kicks off with some tag team action.  Kicking off this non-title match starts with the Desperados (El Chango & Leon Teremoto) heading to the ring first.  Next, the Tag Team Champions the Steel Curtain (Buzz & Starbuck Steel) and they get a huge pop. The Steel Curtain double team Leon as he tries to get some offense started but fails.  Things pick up after El Chango gets in but after getting caught by Starbuck’s shooting star buck, things went back to the champs.  Buzz cleaned house for a few minutes but tagged Buck back in.  Starbuck catches Leon Teremoto with the Shooting Star Buck and makes the cover for the 1-2-3.  The Steel Curtain are victorious in tonight’s match but then P&L (Phat Sol & Lucas Johnston) hit the ring and attacked and beat down the champs.  Phat drops Starbuck with the Phat’s Enough and Lucas planted Buzz with a tornado DDT.  The Ambassador stands with his team in the ring hovering over the Curtain before leaving.  (13 min for the match; 5 min for the segment)

Manager MJ knocks as he enters the Masked Gentleman’s dressing room and praises his talent.  MJ makes an offer.  Says he can lead him to gold.  MG asks for his credentials.  MJ talks about leading teams to tag team glory and how he is able to keep Rad Gumbo in the upper echelon of wrestling.  MG sits back and appears to be a little impressed but expresses that he feels MJ has too much on his plate already with Rad Gumbo and the Smashers and feels he wouldn’t get the proper credit/time.  MG says that if things change in the future, MJ is worthy of consideration.  MG says (as he chomps on his teal M&M’s) that he now needs to prepare for his title shot in the main event tonight.

We head to the ring for our next match.  First, Jesse California makes his way out and then over the loudspeakers blares “Gumbo 7:30 says its suppa time bitch”.  Rad Gumbo w/ MJ make their way to the ring.  Jesse started off strong and it took a few minutes for Gumbo to find his groove.  However, it came after a huge offensive of Jesse hitting a jumping reverse bulldog followed by a shoulder jaw breaker and finally a jumping DDT.  MJ, thinking Gumbo was not going to recover fast enough jumped on the apron and slugged the ref resulting in a disqualification.  Jesse, ticked off, made a grab for MJ but he managed to slip away at the last moment.  Gumbo and MJ made their way to the back as Jesse high-fived the fans before leaving.  (10 min)

Ruby Princess says that Raquel has been dodging her and tonight will be a night that she will never forget.

Magnum Kone vs Junior Huber is up next.  Junior came out first followed by the King of Cones – Magnum Kone.  Magnum starts off hitting a huge bodyslam but then Junior gets up and hoists Magnum over his head and hurls him out of the ring.  While Junior was distracting the ref, Pete the PUN-isher came in from the crowd and hit the PUN-t to the head dropping Magnum.  Pete took off through the crowd.  The ref began to count and got to 10 before Magnum was able to make it back in to the ring.  Junior Huber wins this one via countout in just under 60 seconds.  Magnum makes it to his feet and asks for a mic.  He throws out a challenge to Pete for a match at the PPV.  I guess we’ll have to wait to see if Pete accepts the match.

Backstage, Ravishing Raquel says she is defending the Ladies title tonight against Felicia Cummings and if Ruby sticks her nose in again, she’ll take it right off.

It’s time for the next match.  First, Sonic Blade comes out to a pretty good pop.  Tonight, his opponent is the Crocodile Hunter.  Both men shake hands as the match begins.  Croc starts off with a bodyslam but then Sonic climbs the ropes and hits an Alhambra Attack but lands awkwardly on his ankle and he goes down.  Croc then locks in an ankle lock and Sonic taps out almost immediately.  Crocodile Hunter scores a quick win via submission in 90 seconds.  Croc helps Sonic up and to the back with the crowd cheering on both men.

GM Max McGillicutty says that the Steel Curtain vs P&L will take place at the Apocalypse PPV in December.  He expects another PPV announcement to be forthcoming.

Ravishing Raquel vs Felicia Cummings for the Ladies title.  Felicia goes on the offensive catching the champ with an arm drag and Raquel connects with a butt drop.  That took all the air out of Felicia’s sails and Raquel locked in the Ravishing Armbar but Felicia made it to the ropes.  As soon as Felicia let go of the ropes, Raquel locked in the Ravishing Chickenwing and drove Felicia to the mat.  She tried to drag herself to the ropes but no such luck.  She finally gave in and tapped out.  Ravishing Raquel retains her title in quick fashion.  This of course gave Ruby time to run down to the ring and dropkick Raquel from behind.  She then hit the Simply Ravishing on Raquel and she was out.  Ruby hollered at her that she wanted a title shot and she was going to get it.  Ruby left and Raquel got to her feet as the fans cheered.  Raquel got on the mic and told Ruby to be careful what she wishes for as she will grant Ruby a shot at the title at the PPV.  The fans popped again as Raquel left.  (3 min for the match; 3 more for the segment)

GM Max comes out and acknowledges Raquel vs Ruby at the PPV.  He now says it’s time for the main event.

As Max is making his way to the back, the Masked Gentleman comes out and pushes Max out of his way as he saunters down to the ring.  Max waits until the Hardcore Champion the Fiend comes out to a pop from the crowd.  Max shakes his hand and tells him to kick MG’s ass.  The Fiend makes it to the ring and is asked what type of match he wants.  The Fiend thinks about it for a second and says “Cole Miners Glove”.   The glove is then attached to a hook and raised above one of the corner turnbuckles.  MG immediately attacks the Fiend but the Fiend stops him with the Devil’s Reign.   MG hits a powerslam but the Fiend grabs some of JR’s BBQ sauce and throws it into MG’s face.  The Fiend hits the Project 1950 and MG nails a superplex.  He goes for the pin but only gets a 2 count.  MG complains to the ref for being slow.  MG turns around and gets hit by the 3 Hits from Hell.  MG hurls the Fiend out of the ring but he makes it back in a 9.  We catch up at the 6 minute mark just after MG hit the Fiend with a fireball blinding him.

MG pushes the ref away and continues to pound on the Fiend as the bell continues to ring.  All of a sudden, Texas Wildfire rushes down and with a flurry of punches, he winds up and nails a discuss punch sending MG out of the ring.  TW stands over the Fiend to prevent any further attacks.  MG hollers at Texas Wildfire and he rubs his jaw and backs up the ramp with his NEW title.

Thanks for reading.  Now that we have some matches for the PPV announced, I would expect to see more finalized over the next few weeks.  Stay tuned.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2016 #524

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  Well, the HCW got this one in just in time for Thanksgiving and then will take a much deserved break and return on Sunday.

Today’s show kicks off with 6 man tag team action.  First, the Snake Pit (Leiton, Niven & Tobias Snake) come out first.  Next, wearing their rainbow colored bull horns and their very colorful jackets come the Muscles Trio (Muscles Weasley, McGuire and Thorpe) and they run around acting all goofy and interact with the fans briefly before heading to the ring.  This match is for a future shot at the 6 Man Trophy.  This one was chock full of action with each team member getting equal time in the ring.  Just as they were nearing the 20 minute mark, GM Max McGillicutty came out and told the ref that he doesn’t want the first match of the night to go to a draw so he makes this one a no time limit match.  The competitors continued to give it their all with the Snake Pit holding the slight advantage over their opponents however it all came to an end after Muscles Thorpe hit Tobias with the E-Train.  The Muscles Trio get the win and will secure a future shot at the 6 man trophy.  All of a sudden, all 4 member of the 5th Column (Wendell Hammerschimidt, Baron von Blood, Oswald Zimmerman and Karl Braun) hit the ring and attack and beat down the Muscles Trio.  Ant Graham saunters into the ring and with a mic in hand, tells everyone that anyone who challenges the 5th Column will end up like this (points to the Muscles Trio laid out).  Graham takes his team and they all leave the ring.  (31 min for the match; 36 for the segment)

Max is back in his office and he has 4 men standing there…The Axe, King CJ, Rad Gumbo and Wilber Townsend.  Max tells them that currently, they are top contenders for the World title but all appear to have gone a bit stale.  Max says they will all be in a Fatal Four Way tonight but the person who is pinned will be OUT of the title hunt.

We head back to the ring for our next match.  The Ambassador comes out first and introduces P&L:  Phat Sol and ‘Red Hot’ Lucas Johnston.  The Ambassador says that the road to the tag team titles continues here and that the Steel Curtain better not ever turn their backs on these guys.  Next, their opponents Adam Jameson and Billy Robbins comes out.  It took about 6 minutes for P&L to get into a groove but after that, the match was all them.  The Ambassador distracted AJ and BR multiple times and they tried to retaliate but had no luck.  Billy tossed Phat out of the ring but when he tried for a flying bodypress, the Ambassador snagged his foot.  This gave Phat time to get back in the ring and he hit Billy from behind with a forearm smash.  Phat made the cover and with his foot on the ropes, got the 1-2-3.  P&L got a win.  The Ambassador gloats briefly before they all leave.  (11 min)

The Masked Gentleman barges into Max's Office and demands that Max go wait outside a Best Buy so that MG can have a new stylus for his Laptop, and for Max to get it on Black Friday.  Max tells him to go do it himself and escorts MG out of his office.

We head back to the ring for the next match.  Ferb Huber (from the Huber Clan) makes his way out first.  His opponent, the TV Champion ScooterJ comes out next.  ScooterJ gets on the mic and says that his title is not on the line in this match as he just wants to get some exercise in.  ScooterJ must have been rustier than normal as he did not do well in this match.  It also didn’t help when Master Bull walked down to ringside and sat at commentary.  ScooterJ went for a high impact move climbing to the top turnbuckle but Master Bull grabbed his foot delaying him executing his move.  Annoyed, ScooterJ jumped without watching where he was going and Ferb NAILED him with a discus lariat.  Ferb made the cover and got the 1-2-3.  Master Bull then asks for a mic as ScooterJ tries to recover in the ring.  “You’d better watch out…you’d better not cry…you’d better not pout I’m telling you why…Reid Rothchild will be com-ing back.”  Master Bull leaves the ring while ScooterJ stews.

Backstage, manager Ant Graham meets up with the Masked Gentleman.  Ant makes an offer saying he can offer him wealth.  MG asks for his credentials.  MG says he’s impressed with the viciousness Ant brings to the ring but not impressed with his win/loss record.  MG says he’ll have to think about it.

Our next match kicks off with ‘Fabulous’ Taylor Bella taking on El Gato Negro.  For the first 8 minutes, Taylor schooled her opponent.  It wasn’t until El Gato hit her with the 9 Lives before the tide changed.  In fact, El Gato started tearing into Taylor and Taylor began to panic.  Taylor slid out of the ring and El Gato followed.  Taylor then caught her with a dropkick that sent El Gato crashing into the ringside barrier.  Taylor rolled back into the ring at the last minute beating the count.  The ref counted to 10 and counted El Gato out.  Taylor Bella wins the match via countout.  El Gato recovered pretty quick and chased Taylor to the back.  (14 ½ min)

Max decides, for the main event, to have Biceps Bannerman take on Mr. Wrestling #5 to see who will be the #1 contender for the Hardcore title.

We’re back to the ring pretty quick for our fatal four way.  The Axe vs King CJ vs Rad Gumbo vs Wilber Townsend will all fight to hold their position while the person who gets pinned is out of the running.   World Champion Drew the Canadian Love Machine comes down to sit at commentary to scout the match.  First, the Axe comes out to a pop.  Second, the Ragin Cajun Rad Gumbo comes out with his manager MJ.  Third is Wilber Townsend and man, is he freaky.  Finally, the Hashtag himself, King CJ comes down to the ring.  For probably the first 6 min of the match, all 4 men were in the ring beating the snot out of each other.  Finally the ref got the Axe and Gumbo out of the ring.  CJ then hit Wilber with a bulldog but somehow Wilber got his foot on the ropes to stop the count.  CJ than began psyching up the crowd but when he turned around, Wilber hit him with a short arm clothesline.  Wilber rolled him up and put his feet on the ropes as the ref made the 3 count.  Wilber Townsend gets the win and unfortunately, King CJ is out of the running for the World title.  As the commotion settled down in the ring, a commotion began outside when the S.H.I.T champion the Savior ran in from the crowd and attacked Drew.  After dropping the champ with the Holy Uppercut, he got on the mic.  The Savior then proposed a match between him and Drew at the PPV with the winner taking both titles.  Drew, seething, accepted the match.  GM Max McGillicutty came out and after verifying this is what Drew wanted, he made the match official.  (16 min for match; 5 for the segment)

Backstage, the Masked Gentleman sees he’s not on today’s card and gets pissed.  He walks off in a huff.

It is time for the Main Event:   First, Mr. Wrestling #5 comes out to a decent pop.  Next, Biceps Bannerman comes out and the fans insanely pop for him.  Before the match could begin, the Masked Gentleman came down and got in the ring. He then attacked MW5 and Biceps before getting hurled out of the ring by Bannerman.  Max McGillicutty came out and said he’s tired of MG constantly running down interfering in matches so he lets MG into this one.  The match started off with MG hitting MW5 with a Welcome Mat before tagging Biceps in.  Bannerman looked annoyed but he and MW5 actually had a good match (MG stole a fan’s chair and sat at ringside instead of standing on the apron).  MG finally decided to get back involved in the match.

The Masked Gentleman gets the win at the 12:40 mark.  MG immediately picks up a mic and challenges the Hardcore Champion the Fiend to a match at the next show.  The Fiend comes out to a pop and says he will accept the match.  The two stare at each other as the show comes to an end.

Thanks for reading.  Stay tuned…more action to come.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2016 #523

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  As a recap, the Steel Curtain retained their tag team titles after P&L failed in their attempt to win the gold.  The Masked Gentleman had an impressive debut but was upset with GM Max McGillicutty and has sworn that what is to come will be on Max’s shoulders.  Also, King CJ still is having issues with Baron von Blood.  What will the Hashtag be up to next?

The show kicks off after the pyro goes off but before the match can be announced, Ravishing Ruby Princess makes her way down to the ring.  Ruby gets on the mic and says she demands a match against Ravishing Raquel.  When Raquel doesn’t answer the challenge, Ruby storms out of the ring.

The first match kicks off with ladies in action.  First, Southern Belle comes out to a mixed reaction.  Next, the Duchess makes her way out and the two being fighting immediately.  The action never really got started in the ring and after a few minutes of trying to get them in the ring to start the match and failing, he just threw the match out.  The Duchess ends up in the ring and tells Belle to get in but Belle says she’s too smart and walks off.  This one isn’t over…not by a long shot.

We head backstage and see Ruby standing over someone gagged and tied to a chair.  HANG ON…that’s the Ladies Champion Ravishing Raquel.  Ruby is taunting her saying that she will take EVERYTHING that Raquel holds dear and will not let up until she is granted a title match.  Ruby questions her “What?  Don’t have anything to say?  Well, I can promise you, I will take everything you hold dear and then some until you grant me my title match.  Make it happen or I WILL.”  Ruby laughs as Raquel struggles against her bonds.

We get ready to head back to the ring when all-too-familiar music hits and out comes the King of Cones – Magnum Kone.  Kone is back after his attack by Pete the Pun-isher.  Magnum gets a huge pop from the crowd.  Once in the ring, he asks for a mic.

“As I was laying there after getting attacked by Pete, I was thinking What a Cluster.  This is Nuts.  But then it came to me…Holy Cannoli…I think I remember that little Chunky Monkey.  He’s that kid that would come in to the ice cream shop Half Baked and order Peanut Butter and Jelly (just because it makes a good sandwich doesn’t mean it is a good Ice Cream flavor.)  I had to kick him out because he was chasing all my customers away with the bad jokes he was always telling.  He should be called Pete the Pun-ish-ears.  He is definitely not the Good Humor man.

Pete - if you have an issue with me and really can’t get over it, let’s settle this in the ring. I am going to make Phish Food out of you.”

Pete the Pun-isher comes out and tells Magnum that he will NOT accept a match one on one because Magnum will find a way to cheat.  He tells the King of Cones to go find a tag team partner and he will get one and then they can have a match.  Magnum agrees and Pete walks off and eventually Magnum follows.

Our next match takes place with Leiton Snake coming out to the ring first followed by his opponent 5th Column member Oswald Zimmerman and his manager Ant Graham.  Graham was taken out early by a Curb Stomp from Leiton and Zimmerman failed miserably without his manager.  Leiton owned the match and brought this one to a relatively quick end after connecting with a single underhook facebuster.  (13 min)

Backstage, the Masked Gentleman is sitting in his dressing room (he apparently does not socialize with anyone).  The Ambassador knocks on the door and enters the room.  He tells MG that he was impressed with the win over Turnip (come on, really, who wouldn’t have destroyed Turnip?) and wants to offer his services as a manager.  MG sizes the Ambassador up and down and asks for his credentials.  The Ambassador mentions that he manages P&L but would love to take on MG as his sole client and lead him to GLORY.  MG says he is not impressed and tells the Ambassador to leave.  When the Ambassador was a little slow in moving, MG stood up and menacingly glared at the Ambassador who took the cue to get the hell out of there.  MG mumbles that if this is the best the HCW has to offer, it is a sad state of affairs.

Our next match is up and Baron von Blood with his manager Ant Graham heads to the ring first.  Next, Muscles Thorpe comes out to a pop from the crowd.  Even with his manager at ringside, Thorpe owned the match.  About 8 min in, King CJ comes out and the crowd pops.  He sneaks down to the ring and waits.  Thorpe throws the Baron to the ropes just about the same time Ant tried to distract the ref.  That is when King CJ struck.  He pulled the top rope down and Baron tumbled out of the ring.  CJ then dropped the Baron with a DDT.  He then hopped into the audience and hid.  Baron von Blood got counted out awarding the match and win to Muscles Thorpe.  (9 min)  King CJ takes off through the crowd.  Ant sees his guy out cold and complains to the ref who didn’t see anything (because Ant was causing problems).  Ant helps the Baron up and to the back.

Magnum Kone is backstage and comes across Texas Wildfire.  Magnum asks TW if he had a match tonight.  TW says no.  Magnum asked if he’d be up to a tag team match.  TW says “Sounds like a good time.”  Magnum says that he’ll make sure TW gets his choice of ice cream (Vanilla!) after their match.  Lurking around the corner is Pete the PUN-isher (probably spying to see who Magnum was getting for his tag team partner).

We go back to the ring for the next match which is Superquake Ferguson vs Terra Ryzing.  After both men got into the ring and the bell rang, a new song hit the speakers “the Masked Man Cometh” and out comes the Masked Gentleman. MG walks down to the ring and climbed in.  He then hit both men with simultaneous lariats resulting in the match ending before it really ever got started.  The ref ruled it a no contest but MG nailed Superquake with the Welcome Mat and then hit Terra also with the Welcome Mat.  MG said that he is here, not to make friends and could care less what the stupid fans thought.  He is here for one reason… to make money and win gold.  MG looks at the carnage in the ring with disgust and then leaves.

As MG makes his way backstage, Pete the PUN-isher approaches him.  MG tries to blow him off but once Pete pulls out a wad a cash, MG starts to take notice.  Pete says he’ll make it worth his time to be his one- time tag team partner.  MG demands money up front, counts it and says he’ll be there.  He asks who he is wrestling and Pete tells him Magnum Kone and the Texas Wildfire.  MG sneers and walks off.

We got some tag team action up next.  First, the King of Cones Magnum Kone & Texas Wildfire come out to a huge pop from the crowd.  Pete the PUN-isher comes out next (apparently tonight’s partner wants his own intro) & finally, with “The Masked Man Cometh” blaring over the loudspeakers (obnoxiously loud), Masked Gentleman saunters down to the ring at his own pace.  The fans can’t decide who they dislike more…Pete or MG.  Magnum starts off against MG (Pete is a coward) but MG dazzles everyone with his speed and ferocity.  When Magnum makes the hot tag to Texas Wildfire, Pete tags himself in much to the surprise of MG.  He looks angrily at Pete.  Pete gets in but  TW beats him all over the place.  As MG stands on the apron, he is fuming.  Finally, he shouts “F*** this” and he leaves the ring.   He takes the wad of cash out of his pocket and put it on the ring.  He begins to wak away but turns back, takes the cash saying it is the cost of doing business and he leaves.  TW drops Pete with the Bionic Elbow.  Pete looks to his corner and upon seeing his partner deserted him, he begins to panic.  TW goes for the Leaping DDT but Pete nullifies it and jumps out of the ring.  He says he’s had enough and walks off.  Pete is counted out and the match is awarded to Texas Wildfire and Magnum Kone.  The two celebrate with the fans before leaving.  (15 min)

Backstage, Perfect Pecs Stoddard says he is getting a title shot tonight against the Saskatchewan Heavyweight International Title champ.  Says tonight, he will rename the title because no one really wants to hold a title initialed S.H.I.T.

The Savior talks about defeating everyone who sets foot in the ring with him and that includes dimwits like Pecs whose bicep is bigger than his brain.

It’s time for the MAIN EVENT.  Perfect Pecs Stoddard makes his way own to the ring and he gets mostly a negative reaction.  Next, the S.H.I.T. Champion the Savior comes out and the crowd turned nasty.  The Savior ignored them except one fan who was just going off.  He happened to have a sign and the Savior yanked it from him and tore it to shreds. He laughed at the fan before getting into the ring.  The match was close, probably closer than the champ would have preferred.  For 14 min, the champ held the lead but after eating a White Noise Piledriver, he started to lose his grasp.  We pick up now at that mark.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2016 #522

MG arrives via limo.  He walks in giving the cold shoulder to everyone he passed.  He walked up to the staff setting the lineup for tonight’s show and demands to be ‘the Main Event’   The Masked Gentleman mocks his contract, stating that his name on the contract was in the wrong font, and that it must have been printed out on Max's Commodore 64 printer, and that it looks like there is whiteout covering crayon typos on the contract.  He then walks off.

We head to the ring for the first match of the evening.  After what transpired last show, 5th Column member Karl Braun said he wanted Ivan Dragovich in the ring.  The rambunctious Russian was quick to accept.  Braun and his manager Ant Graham went to the ring first.  Ivan then comes out and the fans give him a pop.  The two immediately go at it and didn’t stop until the time limit bell rang.  Ivan took Graham out of the equation early but recovered enough to stop Ivan from pinning his guy.  Graham would get Karl’s foot on/under the ropes to break the count numerous times.  Finally, after the bell rang bringing this one to a close, Karl & Ant hightailed it out of the ring.  Ivan made his way around the ring interacting with the fans before leaving.  (20 min)

Outside, a car pulls up and out exit the World Tag Team Champs the Steel Curtain.  Starbuck says that tonight they put those upstarts in their place.  Buzz looks at the camera and says “Word”.

We head back to the ring for our next match.  The Hashtag King CJ comes out first to a big pop from the crowd.  Once in the ring, his opponent Wilber Townsend comes out.  Wilber turned up the heat and King CJ got a little cooked.  It didn’t help that a few minutes in, 5th Column member Baron von Blood made his way out and sat at ringside.  Wilber took advantage of CJ’s distractions and ran with it.  CJ was going to the hangman’s DDT but Baron tripped him at the ropes.  A pissed off CJ threatened him and turned just as Wilber connected with a running crossbody.  Wilber made the cover and Baron held CJ’s foot down while the ref counted to 3.  Wilber Townsend gets the win but exits the ring as Baron enters with a chair.  Baron tried to smash CJ with the chair but the King kept rolling out of the way eventually exiting before any damage could be done.  The Baron was pissed but then again, so was the King.  I’m sure these two will have a showdown sooner rather than later.  (8 min for the match; 12 for the segment)

MJ is backstage with his tag team the Smashers and they are ready to begin the climb back up and take their titles back.  Tonight, they go through the Desperados and after they send those ‘western good ol’ boys’ back to their homes, the Smashers will once again rule the tag team scene.

We head back to the ring for the next match.  First, the ‘enforcer’ of the Queen’s Court the British Crippler comes out and she is booed.  Next, her opponent Kimberly Kiccass comes out and she gets quite the opposite reaction.  Kimberly hits the ring only to eat a clothesline from the Crippler.  The Crippler dominated the match but began to get cocky.  Twice, when going for a pin, she pulled Kimberly up by her hair.  Very unsportswoman like.  After reversing a sharpshooter attempt by the Crippler, Kimberly caught her with a flying hurricanrana and with a hook of the leg, got the 1-2-3.  Kimberly gets the win but immediately bails out of the ring as the Crippler got to her feet pretty quick.  BC talked to the ref about the fast count and when he saw she wasn’t calming down, he bailed out of the ring.  A pissed off British Crippler left the ring all the while being taunted by the fans.  (10 min)

Back in his office, GM Max McGillicutty invites all the managers to watch the debut match of the Masked Gentleman which is coming up after this next match.  Master Bull says “No thanks.  He’s no Reid Rothchild”.  Bull then departed leaving managers MJ, the Ambassador, and Ant Graham to watch the new guy debut.

We go back to the ring for tag team action.  The Smashers (without MJ) head down to the ring first.  They are then followed out by El Chango & Leon Teremoto – the Desperados.  The Desperados actually got a pop because the Smashers are just that much more despised.  The Smashers totally dominated the Desperados but without their manager MJ, they couldn’t seem to figure out how to go for the pin.  They kept looking to their corner for their manager but he wasn’t there.  The Desperados kept their hopes alive by constant tagging in and out.  Finally, the end of the match was nearing and Smasher #1 dropped El Chango (who was not the legal man) with a DDT.  He rolled out of the ring as Leon locked in a Gorilla Hug but Smasher #1 would not quit.  The bell then rang bringing this one to a time limit draw.  The Desperados left while the Smashers wandered around the ring, seemingly lost, until the ref showed them out of the ring.  (20 min)

Backstage, Phat Sol & Red Hot Lucas Johnston (without their manager the Ambassador) said that they are making history tonight when they become the NEW World Champions.  Lucas leaned to the camera and mockingly said “word”.  They then walked off camera laughing.

It’s time for the match that the managers backstage were waiting for.  The ring announcer first introduces the challenger – Turnip.  Turnip gets a pop as he walks to the ring.  Next, his opponent, hailing from Las Vegas, Nevada – the Main Event – the Masked Gentleman!  MG walks down to the ring as smug as only he can be; just raising his head at the meddling fans and not giving them the time of day since this is HIS moment, not theirs.  He makes his way around the ring before taking his time entering the ring.  The bell rings almost immediately and MG is put off that he didn’t get to do more showboating in the ring.  He decided to take it all out on Turnip and that he did.  For 18 minutes, MG beat the living tar out of Turnip and even after hitting the Welcome Mat multiple times, he would not go for the pin.   Finally, MG sets Turnip on the top turnbuckle and then nails a Superplex.  MG places a foot on poor Turnip as the ref counts 1…2…3.  MG just won in DRAMATIC fashion.  He then picks up Turnip and nails the Welcome Mat.  The fans boo and he soaks it in.  He nails another Welcome Mat and now the ref is standing between them trying to get him to stop when all of a sudden, Texas Wildfire runs down and TW stands over Turnip to prevent any further attacks.   (18 min)

*MG looks at his fallen opponent, and just stares him down, then is disgusted by the appearance of Texas Wildfire smearing his moment in the ring. He wants to attack Texas Wildfire, but the ref makes sure he doesn't, but clearly MG Is irritated that Texas Wildfire is in His Ring, and wants more than anything to get rid of him. Visibly Upset, MG Points and stomps the mat in protest to the referee wanting TW out of the ring in his moment of triumph. You can almost hear the anger in his voice as TW definitely stole his moment in the ring, as he goes through the ropes and then starts getting upset at the classless fans around ringside as he slowly starts going up the ramp to the backstage area, sneering at the fans and then pointing at TW mumbling how upset he is about TW stealing his moment in the ring.*

Backstage, the managers all seem impressed with the debut of the Masked Gentleman.  They depart.  MG arrives backstage and sees Max who is telling the ring crew to go ahead and head to the ring to set up the steel cage for the main event.  MG walks over and complains about not being in the main event.  “Oh” Max says.  “I thought you wanted to be CALLED ‘Main Event’”.  MG storms off but turns and says what will transpire will all be on Max.  He walks off.

It is time for the Main Event.  P&L (Phat & Lucas) make their way down to the ring and enter the cage.  Next, the champions the Steel Curtain come out and they waste no time at entering the ring.  P&L attack the champs as the bell rings and this one is off to the races.   The champs owned the first part of the match but after a few minutes of cheating, P&L started to own the champs.  We join the match at the 7 minute mark.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2016 #521

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  Well, GM Max McGillicutty took the plunge and opted to sign the Masked Gentleman to a contract.  At the insistence of MG, it was only a 3 month commitment with the opportunity for an extension.  We cut to Max’s office where we see Max and MG completing the document.  MG finally sees the contract for HCW as he looks it over then signs on the dotted line. Once signed and is handed his signing bonus (yes he actually demanded a signing bonus), he picks up the contract and throws it at the HCW General Manager and walks off.  As MG leaves the room he bites the front of the paycheck to see if it’s legit.  This guy is a no-nonsense kind of guy.  Apparently he debuts in the ring next show so I guess we’ll see what he’s got.  With all the heat he seems to be getting right now, I wonder how he’d do against our resident Doctor…

Our show begins with pyro going off and the one and only Dr. Red Fang, accompanied by his manager Ant Graham, heads to the ring.  Fang growls as Ant demands that the Fiend meet Fang once again for the Hardcore title as the Fiend is nothing but a cheat and stole the last match between them.  He says “I bet the Fiend is sitting at home punching those stupid keys.  I’d like to punch HIM.”  Fang then screams “Vampire Lunges for Everyone.”  (Geez, this guy really needs some new material.)

Fang’s opponent Jerry Saunders comes out and only gets a pop since the crowd dislikes Fang so much.  As soon as he stepped in the ring, Fang began to maul him.  Jerry couldn’t get much in the way of anything started and looked like this one was going to end sadly but somehow Saunders was able to lock in the Traitor Lock and a startled Fang began flailing in the ring.  It appeared in his flailing that he was tapping out so the ref called the match awarding the bout to Jerry Saunders by submission.  An enraged Ant Graham began pushing the ref around and Fang then attacked Saunders again.  He took Jerry outside the ring and smashed him repeatedly into the steel steps.  He then pulled up the mat surrounding part of the ring and nailed a Transylvania piledriver on the exposed concrete.  Saunders is busted open.  Fang then joins Ant in the ring but before he could attack the ref, the ref bailed in fear for his life.  GM Max McGillicutty came out and scolded both Fang and his manager and said he would be levying a fine of $10,000 against them for putting their hands (in a threatening way) on an official.  Graham said he was going to sue and Max told him “you go ahead and try.”  Max then walked off leaving a pissed off Fang and his manager stew a moment longer before leaving on their own. (3 min for the match, 10 for the segment)…oh, and Saunders was taken out on a stretcher.

Backstage, the World Tag Team champs the Steel Curtain (Buzz and Starbuck Steel) arrive for what we believe will be the contract signing between them and P&L.

We head back to the ring for our next match.  First, Lexy Flexx makes her way to the ring to a decent pop from the crowd.  Her opponent, the leader of the Queen’s Court – Queen Beckett – makes her way out and she is booed.  This was another short match with her royalness quickly nullifying a pumphandle Lex-Plex.  Lexy then tried for it again only to have Queen Beckett hurl her out of the ring.  Beckett followed her out and after throwing her into the crowd (much to the delight of the fans), Lexy was unable to get back in the ring in time and got counted out after 2 minutes.  Queen Beckett gets a quick win over her rival. (2 min)

The Ambassador is backstage with P&L – Phat Sol & Red Hot Lucas Johnston.  The Ambassador says that these two are in singles action tonight and they will make just as big of an impact as singles as they do in tag action.  Phat Sol warns the Steel Curtain to stay out of their business tonight or there will be hell to pay.

We head back to the ring for more action.  Billy Robbins makes his way out to a pop.  His opponent comes out to “Gumbo 7:30:  It’s Suppa Time Bitch!” and the Ragin Cajun Rad Gumbo comes out with his manager MJ.  Gumbo walks to the ring as fans throw popsicle sticks at him.  He sneers at them.  He gets in the ring and immediately goes after Billy.  Gumbo took out all his frustrations on Billy but quickly wore himself out and Robbins took over after that.  The end came after Robbins caught Rad with a slingshot smash and covered him for the 1-2-3.  Billy Robbins gets the win.  After the match, Gumbo had words with his manager MJ and then stormed off.  MJ, confused, followed.  (19 min)

We cut to a vignette from the Pun-isher himself. Pete Punsher.  Pete says he’s not there tonight but feels that the fans don’t get their money’s worth unless he delivers his most awesome of puns.

“What is the best place to get ice cream?  In a Sunday school.”
“Why did the ice cream truck break down?  Because it was a Rocky Road”
“What did the newspaper say to the ice cream?  What’s the scoop?”

The fans, booed and you could tell that even the pre-recorded version of Pete knew they were bad and how the crowd was going to react.

Backstage Buzz Steel walks out of P&L’s dressing room with a smirk and a sneaky suspiciousness about him.

We head to the ring for our next match.  5th Column member Karl Braun, accompanied by his manager Ant Graham come out first and are booed.  Next, Phat Sol and his manager the Ambassador come out next.  Phat looks a little uncomfortable.  He gets in the ring and the bell rings.  He really appears to be uncomfortable and then a look of horror crosses his face.  He looks at the water bottle he’s been drinking out of.  His eyes go all wide and he BOLTS from the ring and rushes to the back with the Ambassador following after him.  Karl Braun and his manager laughed at Phat.  Phat ends up getting counted out and Karl Braun wins this one via countout in 30 seconds.  Karl’s enjoyment is short lived until Ivan Dragovich snuck into the ring, knocked Ant from the ring and then locked Karl in the Accolade.  After a few moments, refs ran in to break it up.  Ivan looks on satisfied.

Meanwhile, Phat rushes to the back and passes Buzz Steel who smirks as Phat runs by.

ScooterJ talks defending the TV title tonight against Adam Jameson.  ScooterJ says he will retain tonight and hopes Reid comes back soon so he can hand him yet another beatdown.

For the next match, Red Hot Lucas Johnston comes out first but without the Ambassador (whom we presume is still looking for Phat Sol).  He is then followed out by 5th Column member Wendell Hammerschmidt.  Just as the match begins, Starbuck Steel walks down to the ring.  Lucas yells at him but he climbs into the ring anyway.  The action stops as Starbuck walks up to Wendell and pushes him.  The ref then disqualifies Lucas for outside interference.  Starbuck smirks and walks to the back.  A pissed off Lucas yells at him from the ring.  (2 min)

Adam Jameson says that he gets a shot at the TV title tonight and will make it all count.

We go back to the ring for the contract signing for the Tag Team title match inside a Steel Cage.  The champs the Steel Curtain come out first, followed by GM Max McGillicutty and finally P&L with the Ambassador.  The champs are sitting at the table and they appear to be enjoying themselves.  The Ambassador tries to complain about the Steel Curtain sticking their noses in P&L business but Max says that sometimes, that is how wrestling works.  The Ambassador takes the contract and reviews it.  Satisfied, he has Phat and Lucas sign it.  Max then hands it to the champs and they sign it.  The four men stand facing each other but the champs leave first.  On their way to the back, Buzz points up at the Omegatron and recaps Phat’s ‘unfortunate’ episode.  The champs and the fans laugh as everyone finally leaves the ring.

It is now time for the main event.  Adam Jameson comes out first to a good pop from the crowd.  Next, the TV champion ScooterJ comes out.  Before the match begins, Reid Rothchild’s manager Master Bull comes out and goes to sit at ringside. ScooterJ looks a bit perturbed but doesn’t let it get to him.  AJ had the slight advantage over the champ because try as he could, he just kept being distracted by Master Bull just sitting there.  AJ nailed an Adam Bomb but the champ kicked out easily.  Both men were putting on an entertaining show but the longer it went on, they began to slow down.  At one point, ScooterJ needed a moment and he got out of the ring.  He walked around and confronted Master Bull.  Bull stood up but didn’t say anything.  ScooterJ jawjacked but lost track of the count and almost got counted out.  AJ then threw the champ into the corner and as he charged, ScooterJ connected with a superkick out of nowhere!  He immediately made the cover and with a foot on the ropes, got the 1-2-3.  ScooterJ retains his title.  He began yelling at Master Bull again but Bull ignored him and just made his way to the back.  (28 min)

With that, the show comes to an end.  Thanks for reading.   Stay tuned for more.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2016 #520

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  Well, last issue we saw Drew the Canadian Love Machine become the NEW World Champion defeating the Stache.  Stache was then taken out by his nemesis the Wraith.  The Wraith said he would address the fans even if they don’t deserve it (his words, not ours).   The show begins with another promo from the Masked Gentleman.

*MG Enters the room for another promo* “So it has come to be that a Mere league such as HCW has called upon the services of MG....I would like to say I am flattered, but to be honest it was to be expected. As I am the Premiere wrestler in all of "PWSville" so HCW wants to see if they can match the wits and brawn of Masked Gentleman...I will just have to prove my self-righteousness to them. HCW look out....MG Is going to be wearing your hardware at any cost. I am going to tick people off left and right in HCW, I don’t care if the bosses don’t like it. Just Shut up and deal with the anarchy. For The #BlackAndBlueCrew is now in motion in HCW.” *MG Stares at the camera as it fades to black*

We head to the ring for our first match.  The Wraith makes his way down first and he is booed.  His opponent for the evening is the Axe and he is defending his spot in the World title top 10 lineup.  The Wraith tried to attack Axe but he was ready for it.  After about 3 minutes, the Wraith began to stun both the Axe and the fans watching.  Eventually the Axe took control back.  The Wraith, not happy with how the match was going, grabbed a chair whacking the Axe with it resulting in a disqualification.  The Axe retains his spot however the Wraith doesn’t let up with the chair shots.  He beats down on the Axe just enough to ensure he’s not getting right back up.  The Wraith then demands a mic.  He gloats about how he just annihilated the Axe and how he rid the HCW of the Stache.  “That LOSER will never come back.  He knows I’m the top dog in this yard now and we won’t have to see him around ever again.”  He chucks the mic out of the ring and leaves while medics are still tending to the Axe.  (14 ½ min for the match; 20 for the segment)

Backstage, Scarlett Phoenix is talking about her match against Ladies Champion Ravishing Raquel.  She says that Raquel is a solid champion but the next time they meet, she will win.  Just then, “Ravishing” Ruby Princess walks over and calls Scarlett a nobody since she lost to an imposter.  Ruby says she is the ‘real Ravishing One’ and if she wants to see how good she really is, she’ll be ready to take her out.  Ruby then walks away.  I guess these two will be meeting later.

Our next match is a qualifier for a future shot at the US title.  First, former champion Superstar Chic Monroe comes out to booing from the crowd.  Next, music changes and out comes the Texas Wildfire.  The fans pop for him.  He makes his way down to the ring.  Monroe goes right on the offensive and owned the match but he could not keep TW down for a 3 count.  After about 8 minutes in, TW began an offensive run and Chic could not stop him.  After catching TW with a knee to the gut, Chic stopped to showboat thinking he had this one locked up.  He turned around only to get caught off guard by the Hangman Clothesline.  Wildfire makes the cover and gets the 3 count.  TW continues his winning ways and leapfrogs into the US title hunt.  (11 min)

Backstage, the Ambassador is complaining to GM Max McGillicutty about P&L being left out of the tag team tournament…something they would have won; not the Steel Curtain.  He continues that Max is holding his team back.  Max tells the Ambassador that P&L are in action tonight but it’s not against the champs; it’s against 2 members of the 5th Column managed by Ant Graham.  He wishes the Ambassador ‘good luck’ and escorts him out of his office closing the door behind him.

We head back to the ring for our next match which is a tag team match.  First, music hits and out comes the Desperados (El Chango & Leon Teremoto).  After they make it to the ring, their opponents – the California Connection (Dude USA & Jesse California) make their way out.  For the first 5 minutes, the Desperados had full control but after a skirmish on the outside of the ring, the California Connection OWNED them.  We can’t recall ever seeing the Desperados get beat that bad.  It wasn’t until the final moments of the match did the Desperados look like their original selves.  As the clock was counting down the final seconds of the match, Jesse went for the Famouser Leg Drop Bulldog but El Chango reversed it dropping him and then jumping to the top rope to hit a shooting star press.  El Chango was slow to make the cover so by the time he got his arm draped over Jesse, the bell rang bringing this one to a close.  (20 min draw)

Karl Braun & Wendell Hammerschmidt are backstage with their manager Ant Graham and they say that they will make short work of P&L sending them back under the rock they came from.

We head back to the ring for our next match.  Scarlett Phoenix makes her way out first.  She gets a good pop from the crowd.  She is then followed out by Ravishing Ruby Princess.  Ruby is once again dressed in similar fashion to the Ladies Champion Ravishing Raquel.  Ruby sees a fan with a Raquel sign and she grabs is and tears in in half before throwing it on the ground.  These two put on a hell of a match but Ruby cheated to keep the momentum in her favor.  An interesting note is that there were no pin or submission attempts until Ruby hit the Rubysault for a 2 count 13 minutes in.  Scarlett would be tossed out twice before Ruby would lock in the Ravishing Rubywing.  Scarlett would make it to the ropes to break the hold.  Ruby hit another Rubysault for another 2 count.  Just as the match was nearing the time limit, out of desperation, Scarlett hit the Black Widow and as she made the cover, Ruby got her foot on the rope in time to stop the count but then the time limit ended bringing this one to a close.  Ruby got to her feet and looked on in astonishment as the Ladies Champion Ravishing Raquel ran down to the ring.  Ruby panicked and took off through the crowd.  Raquel took a mic and said that she wanted Ruby in the ring and if she doesn’t agree soon, “This (motioning Ruby running away) is going to be Ruby’s legacy – one of running away from a fight she KNOWS she’ll lose.”  Raquel then leaves the ring.  (20 min draw; 25 total for the segment)

Backstage, the Hollywood Star and ‘The Gold Standard’ Bruce Biltmore prepare for their title match against the Steel Curtain.  The Star says that gold will soon be around their wastes and Bruce adds that tonight will allow them to achieve their dreams of being on top of the world.

The next match on the card is more tag team action.  Ant Graham comes out first with 5th Column members Karl Braun & Wendell Hammerschimdit.  Next, the Ambassador leads P&L – Phat Sol and ‘Red Hot’ Lucas Johnston to the ring.  Ant directs his team to immediately attack P&L this one is a slobberknocker without ever actually beginning.  The ref was never able to gain control of the match so he threw it out.  GM Max McGillicutty comes out and says that at the next show, instead of tag action, both teams will be in singles competition against each other.  Max then warns the two managers that if they cannot control their respective stables, HE will do something about it.  Max then leaves as the two teams eventually depart.  (no contest)

In preparation for the main event, the Steel Curtain (Buzz & Starbuck Steel) are watching the monitors and laugh at P&L.  Buzz starts off “Ya know ‘Buck, those two schmucks can’t figure out how to wrestle in a match and they want a shot against us?”  Starbuck replies “Buzz, I’ve been thinking the same thing.  These two feel the only way to make a name for themselves is to jump us.  This (pointing to the monitor) is the perfect example of why these two are undeserving of a shot against us.”  Buzz finishes “We’ve got the fans behind us and their support will see these belts around our waists for as long as we want it.”  Starbuck says “Word” and they head to the ring.

It’s time for the Main Event.  The Steel Curtain vs Hollywood Star & Bruce Biltmore make their way to the ring first and they are booed.  Next, the champs the Steel Curtain come out and they get a huge pop.  This one barely got started before the Ambassador led P&L down to the ring.  Buzz Steel nailed Bruce with a german suplex but then got hurled out of the ring. While the Hollywood Star distracted the ref, P&L attacked the champs.  Phat Sol hurled Starbuck into the steel steps and then after beating Buzz down, handcuffed him to ringside.  P&L then backed up the ramp to avoid causing the DQ.  However, with Buzz as the legal man and now unable to get back into the ring, he gets counted out but the belts, much to the dismay of the Star & Biltmore, do not change hands on a countout.  Starbuck recovered using bolt clippers, snapped the cuffs.  P&L then ran after seeing that they have now pissed off the champs.  The Hollywood Star and Bruce tried to get the ref to award them the belts but he would have nothing to do with it.  Buzz and Starbuck then hit the ring and quickly disposed of their opponents.  Buzz requests a mic.  “Alright, enough is enough.  You two ladies wanted our attention?  Guess what, you’ve GOT it.  You want us in the ring?  Fine.  Hell, we’ll even put the belts on the line but we get to determine the type of match.  Tell ‘em ‘Buck.”  Starbuck takes the mic.  “Max, draw up the contract and tell those two cowards they’ll have nowhere to go once we are in the confines of a STEEL CAGE!”  The fans pop and the champs turn to the camera and say “Word!”  With that, the show comes to an end.
