Hello wrestling fans and welcome back to another episode of the HCW Wrestling Newsletter. Tonight, a PPV is in our future. Tonight, 2 battle royals will take place – one challenging King Rad Gumbo for his crown and throne and one challenging Queen Goldie Locks for hers. We will also see, in his first appearance ever, the ROCK – the People’s Champion – will be on hand accepting the challenge from Dennis Marshall.

McGillicutty makes his way out and thanks everyone for attending this sold out
event and those who are tuning in from home.
Tonight’s roster will be in full participation to see who wins that
elusive spot at a chance to take home a crown.
This happens once a year and a show dedicated to those who may have what
it takes to become a new royal. Also on
the show, HCW’s very own Dennis Marshall takes on one of the biggest names in
sports entertainment – the Rock. As we
have a full show today, let’s get this party started.
The
men’s roster begins to file out to wait for their turn to enter the battle
royal. After the final competitor came
out, music hit and out comes the King of HCW – the Ragin Cajun Rad Gumbo. Gumbo will take on the winner of this battle

We
are ready for the first of our triple main events. First, we hear the loudspeakers spit out
“APOLLO GYZE DON’T APOLOGIZE” and Apollo makes his way out to massive booing
from the crowd. He flips off the fans
and starts to walk to the ring but he stops in front of the Lumber Lounge. World Champion Jack Lumber is there with his
fans. Apollo starts mouthing off to Jack
and slugs him laughing. This brings out
GM Max McGillicutty. Max says that since
Apollo instigated an unwarranted attack, he announces that Jack Lumber is being
inserted into the match. Jack is
astonished. Apollo is besides himself. He tries to complain but it falls on deaf
ears. Apollo storms off to the
ring. Jack shakes hands with Max and
heads to the ring. The music changed and
the loudspeakers blare out “GUMBO 730 MEANS ITS SUPPA TIME…” but it stops as
the Ragin King Rad Gumbo comes out with a mic and adds in “Well, it looks like
we got two tonight so instead of one we have two…BITCHES!” The fans pop and Gumbo, wearing his cape
and crown and carrying his scepter, makes his way to the ring. The ref holds the ropes open for him. Rad steps through. The fans are not quite sure who to cheer for
between Jack and Rad but are definitely against Apollo. Rad handed the cape and crown off and the
match began. The majority of the match
was Rad and Jack taking turns beating the crap out of Apollo. This went on for 34 minutes which is where we
join the match.

The fans started a “Thank You Rad (clap, clap, clapclapclap)”
chant. Rad made his way up the ramp and
the chanting grew louder with each step.
Rad turned and saluted the fans before heading behind the curtain.
Our
next match is one for the record books.
First, the music plays and out comes Dennis Marshall to a solid pop from
the crowd. He shakes hands with the fans
as he makes his way to the ring. He
climbs in and patiently waits. His
thoughts are interrupted as the loudspeaker blares out “IF YOU SMELLLLLL …
WTHAT THE ROCK….IS COOKIN” and out comes the self-proclaimed People’s Champion
the Rock. This place is on fire. The electricity rivals any “premium live
event” from anytime or anywhere. The
Rock comes out and stands on the stage.
He soaks in the cheers from the fans, cocks an eyebrow and then power
walks to the ring. He enters the ring
and walks right by Dennis and climbs the turnbuckle holding one fist high in the
air. The fans’ pop continues. Rock does this for all 4 corners. Finally, he steps down and meets Dennis in
the middle of the ring. Dennis tries to
raise an eyebrow like the Rock does but is not successful.

Dennis removes his elbow pad and crosses his arms in a sweeping
motion. He then rushes the ropes,
bounces off, jumps over Dash, hits the ropes on the other side, bounces off and
stops in front of Dash. He the drops the
most devastating elbow drop in the history of professional wrestling and Dash
rolls around the ring in extreme agony until he exits the ring and holding his
chest like his heart was going to fall out, rushes to the back. Rock and Dennis celebrate before heading to
the back.
Queen
Goldie Locks is backstage. She says that
holding the crown and being the first ever Queen of HCW is an honor, it’s a gigantic
undertaking. She says that Korbi has one
chance to win the crown but if she does not, Goldie will retire the crown and
HCW will no longer have a queen.
It’s
time for our final match. First, “KORBI
KONG SMASH” plays over the loudspeakers and the Omegatron lights up with images
of Korbi smashing pumpkins, smashing tables and smashing other wrestlers with
steel chairs. The fans pop as she makes
her way to the ring, enters and waits for her opponent. A moment later, the music changes to Pomp and
Circumstance and out comes Queen Goldie Locks.
She is wearing her cape and crown and holding her scepter. She makes her way to the ring interacting
with the fans. She gets in and removes
her cape and crown. It’s handed to an
attendant at ringside. Goldie meets Korbi
in the middle of the ring and the two shake hands. The bell rings and this one is ready to go.

Kong gets the win and becomes the NEW QUEEN OF HCW. Korbi basks in the glow of her win and ends
up helping Goldie to her feet. She then gets on the mic and announces that even
though she won the match, she agrees with Goldie and that the title of Queen
ends up more a burden than is helpful.
She says she wants nothing to get in her way when she challenges her best
friend Violet Valkyrie for the Ladies title at the Critical Mass PPV (or
Premium Live Event if you prefer). The
show comes to an end with Korbi laying the cape, crown and scepter in a neat
pile in the center of the ring and she and Goldie leave at the same time.
That
was truly unexpected in seeing the title of Queen be retired AND Korbi’s
challenge to Violet for the Ladies Title in 2 months. Stay tuned as a lot can happen between now
and then.
