Wrestling Newsletter Year 4 (2009)_11.3

Hello fans. This is a last minute correction. In a previous recent newsletter, we stated that the World’s Greatest Tag Team held both the World and NWWA Tag Team titles. This, of course, is incorrect. The World Tag belts are still held by Cryme Tyme and the NWWA belts are held by Benjamin and Haas. Both sets of belts will be defended at the PPV. Dibiasi and Rhodes are in line for both titles so they were told they could only be in one. A coin was flipped and they will get the shot at the NWWA titles. Since Cryme Tyme is wrestling the Dudley’s at the PPV, their match is now for the World Tag Team titles.

The PPV is almost here. Stay tuned. We expect lots to happen.

The PPV is expected to take place this weekend and the show has been sold out now for over a month.

As a reminder, Negronomicon will defend the Undisputed Championship at this show. Also taking place here will be the World Champion vs Champion as the NWWA Champ takes on the CSWA champ.

In non-wrestling news: CSWA hired a new legal representative. You may or may not have heard of Miles Massey (of Massey, Massey and Goldstein). Miles Massey is wildly known for “The Unbreakable Massey Settlement” (based on the movie “Intolerable Cruelty”). His newphew Travis, has been assigned to be lead council for the CSWA. You may remember Travis from his stint in wrestling under the name “Classy” Travis Massie. It turns out that Travis left wrestling to pursue a law career but could never fully get wrestling out of his blood. After attending law school, Travis interned at his uncle’s law firm for 2 years. He then asked to become lead council on the CSWA account to “cut his teeth and prove himself partner material”. Donnie B has announced that he wants to try to get his federation back. Travis will be retained to represent Donnie B in his battle to get his federation back. The last thing we’ve heard was that Travis was working on a document to rival what his uncle does with pre-nuptual agreements. We look forward to see what transpires.

The next post should be the results from both PPV’s. See you soon.

Wrestling Newsletter Year 4 (2009) 11.1

Hello fans. Well, I have to apologize for the lack of news this month. With the holidays, news has become scarce as the CSWA has given its performers time off to spend with their families. Over in the NWWA though, things are a little different. The Negronomicon has been working its performers to the bone. They are all dead tired and unfortunately, they are not making any money at all. In fact, they are losing money hand over fist. The Negronomicon has been avoiding all the bill collectors and has resorted to hiding at his remote house. This reporter has found out that Negronomicon owes close to $1M in fees, salaries and location back payments. It's been absolutely crazy.

The only match of consequence saw Dibiasi and Rhodes defeat Goldust and Stevie Richards to take their shot at the tag team titles. Since Rhodes and Dibiasi are also the top contender for the World tag team titles, the shot they receive will be for both belts.

In a cost cutting move, Negronomicon has cut more staff. Of those cut include: Goldust, Stevie Richards, Hurricane Helms, Tommy Dreamer, The Bruiser, John Cena, Christopher Daniels, Kane, John Morrison, Chavo Guerrero, and Mike Knox.

This really cuts down on the size of the NWWA. Those left include:
The Negronomicon (Undisputed Champion), Scott Steiner (World Champ), Carlito (IC Champ), Chris Masters (North American Champ), Santino (x-division champ), The Unified (World and NWWA) World Tag Team Champs Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas, Matt Hardy, Dibiasi and Rhodes, Christian, Finley, and Jay Lethal.

A last minute card has been put together for the November NWWA show. Those matches will be:
Christian vs. Scott Steiner for the World Heavyweight Title
Matt Hardy vs. Chris Masters for the NA title
Jay Lethal vs. Santino for the X-Division Title
Finley vs. Carlito for the IC title

Negronomicon will be forced to defend the Undisputed Championship against the winner of the match between the NWWA and CSWA World Champions. This match will take place at the CSWA show.

Well, the last newsletter had some good info in it with the announcement of Hulk Hogan being signed to a CSWA contract. Well, this posed a problem for the EODRF (either old, dead or retired fogies) champion. Hogan had to defend the title one last time. We searched high and low and only really came up with one candidate….Ric Flair. Hulk and Flair met again but this time with the belt on the line. Ric won the match and the EODRF Championship after Hogan tapped to the Figure Four. Congratulations Ric.

CSWA news to follow.
