Hello fans and
welcome back to another installment of HCW’s Wrestling Newsletter. The Elimination Chamber from a week ago
continues to have ramifications moving forward.
The quest to crown new tag team champions continues with 2 more tag team
qualifying matches tonight.
Our show kicks off
backstage in the office of GM Max McGillicutty.
Max is sitting with the Wicked Prophet.
The Wicked Prophet tells Max he wants to expand his involvement in HCW
and says he wants to begin training for in-ring action. Max questions if this is something he really
wants to do. WP says he’s mentally
ready but needs to get into better shape.
He adds that he first would like to step into the ring but in a
different capacity. He wants to be a
guest referee. Max thinks it’s a good
idea and asks which match. WP says that
he want to ref the Beannot/Teremoto match at the PPV. Max asks if he thinks he can remain impartial
and WP says he calls it like he sees it.
Max shakes his hand. We have a special
guest ref at the PPV.
Pyro goes off and
we have our first match of the night. The
Axe and Superstar Chic Monroe come out at the same time to a nice pop from the
crowd. They do their bit in the ring to
get the crowd psyched up but the music changes and out comes manager MJ and the
Smashers. The Smashers rush the ring and
attack Axe and Chic. They manage to stay
in control for the majority of the match but as the match progressed, Axe and
Chic started to make some headway. Just
as we approached the time limit, Smasher #2 locked Chic up with a side headlock
but Chic hit a knee to the gut. Just
then, the bell rang bringing this one to a time limit draw. With this draw, both teams are out of the tag
team tournament.
We head backstage
and the Wicked Prophet is with Ruby Rose.
WP congratulates Ruby on her win and asks if she’s decided when to cash
in her title shot against Ravishing Raquel.
Ruby says that even though she wants it now, she is willing to wait
until the PPV. It will be there that the
championship changes hands and the new blood will lead HCW into the
future.
Our next match is
ready to go and the tag team tournament continues. First, the Regulators come out and they get a
small pop from the crowd. Next, the
music changes and out comes the Steel Curtain.
The fans blow the roof off the place.
Once the match began, the Curtain owned it however the Regulators would
not go down easy. They fought tooth and
nail and made every possible save they could to hold on to any chance. Before we knew it, the time limit was getting
ready to expire. Starbuck heads to the
top and hits Mammoth with the Shooting Star Buck. He goes for the pin but Mule
somehow manages to break up the pin.
Buzz gets tagged in and Mammoth makes the tag to Mule. Buzz
hits a slingshot suplex but Mule takes Buzz to the ropes and hits an inverted
superplex. He doesn’t have enough time
to make the cover as the bell rings shortly after both men crashed to the
mat. The signaling from the bell brings
another tag match to a draw finish. With
this draw though, it appears that the team of Hensen and Beannot get a bye into
the next round.
After everyone
left, music hit and out comes…what the hell…it’s the Elitist Reid
Rothchild. What the hell is he doing
here? He makes his way down to the ring
and demands a mic. Reid says that he
never believed in chamber types of eliminations so he says he’s sticking around
and not going anywhere. GM Max
McGillicutty comes out and says that he doesn’t have a contract and attempts to
remove him from the ring. Reid proposes
an alternative. Reid says he will
wrestle one match and if he wins, he will join the Tacoma roster. Max relents and says that Reid’s opponent is
on his way out.
Music hits and out
comes…Drew the Canadian Love Machine.
The fans pop huge as he makes his way down to the ring. Reid does not look happy. Drew gets in the ring and climbs two of the
turnbuckles before Reid walks over and tries to get the match started. Reid hurls Drew into the corner and hits a
Stinger splash. Drew hits a powerbomb
but Reid hits the Hogan leg drop. Drew hits the La Casita but Reid connects
with the Reid (Rock) Bottom. Drew locks
in the handstand headscissors but Reid hits another Rock Bottom. Drew bodyslams
Reid but then gets hurled to the corner again and Reid hits another Stinger
splash. Drew stumbles out of the corner
and Reid hits a third Rock Bottom. He
makes the cover, hooks the leg and gets a foot on the middle rope for leverage
and gets the 3 count. Reid gets the win
and I suppose, is now on the Tacoma roster.
I guess we’ll have to see how that plays out. (6 min)
Backstage, Nix
Anderson is with his manager Matt Preacher.
Nix asks “what part of ‘you’re fired’ are you not getting?” Preacher tries to call Nix down but he grabs
his former manager by the shirt and lifts him off the ground. All of a sudden, Nix is attacked by Hardcore
Hensen and Jacques Beannot. Preacher’s
team beats Nix down. Preacher tells them
to pick Nix up. They get him to his
knees and Preacher begins to slap him across the face. “You don’t fire ME you no talent hack. You are the one fired and we don’t want to
see you around anymore. Oh, and you got
your rematch against Davis but you get to do it without my help. Good luck hack.” Preacher, Jacques and Hardcore all leave
after dropping Nix to the floor.
We go back to the
ring for our next match. Lavender Gooms makes
her way out first to a decent pop from the crowd. Next, Hayley Hailstone comes out and the fans
pop pretty loud. He high fives with the
fans all the way down to and around the ring.
She even gives some hugs to a few of the kids at ringside. She climbs into the ring and this one begins
quickly. Hayley stayed right with
Lavender for the first 7 minutes of the match but then was interrupted by the
British Crippler. Lavender took
advantage of the situation and even though she dominated the rest of the match,
she could not keep Hayley down for the 3 count.
Hayley hung in there just long enough to make it to the time limit. As soon as the bell rang, the British
Crippler jumped into the ring and began beating Hayley down. Hayley got in a couple of good licks before
sending the Crippler to the outside of the ring. Hayley took the mic and said that if the
British Crippler really wanted a match against her, she’s got an opening at the
PPV. The British Crippler nods in
agreement and it looks like those two will be meeting at the PPV. (20 min draw)
Ant Graham is
backstage with Dr. Red Fang. Graham does
all the talking here talking about how, after tonight, there will be a new
Hardcore Champion and then the ‘great’ Dr. Red Fang will destroy the Unknown Assassin
one more time.
Texas Wildfire
makes his way out to a huge pop from the crowd.
He gets into the ring and asks for a mic. He calls out Wilber Townsend. Wilber is not in the building tonight. Wildfire says that Wilber’s interference
almost cost Tacoma 5 of its best but they persevered and were saved by the most
unlikable of people – Apollo Gyze.
Wildfire says he’s still here (fans pop) and that when Wilber is ready
to step up, he’ll be ready. He hands off
the mic as he waits for his opponent.
Wendell Hammerschmidt makes his way out to booing from the crowd (just
because they really like TW). Wendell
had the advantage for the first 8 minutes of the match but with the fans
solidly behind him, TW began to rally back and then dominated the rest of the match…to
the point where Wendell only got in 5 moves the rest of the match. Just when it appeared that this one was going
to be cut short by a draw finish, TW hits the hangman’s clothesline and quickly
makes the cover getting the 3 count just seconds before the time limit would
expire. Texas Wildfire gets the win
(accompanied by the pop) and he left after a brief celebration. (20 min)
The Wicked Prophet
is backstage and he’s with Hardcore Champion Hardcore Hensen and his manager ‘the
Singapore Sensation’ Matt Preacher.
Hensen says that he’s going to do the humane thing tonight and put down
a rabid dog. He says Fang has been out
of control and it will take someone like him to destroy the evil vampire
bot. Preacher chimes in and says that
Fang will get the same treatment Nix just got.
Don’t cross his team or they will get their just desserts.
It’s time for our
main event. First, blaring over the
loudspeakers is “VAMPIRE LUNGES FOR EVERYONE” and out comes Dr. Red Fang
accompanied by his manager Ant Graham. The
duo make their way down to the ring amidst booing from the fans. Fang gets in the ring and snarls and growls
at the fans and that just makes them react all the more. Next, music changes and out comes the Hardcore
Champion Hardcore Hensen with his manager Matt Preacher. They too get booed from the fans but it’s not
as deep as the treatment Fang received.
Hensen gets in the ring and is asked what type of match he wants. Hensen hands his title over and says he wants
a Lights Out Match. Before the match
could begin, the Unknown Assassin shows up and begins to taunt Fang from the stage. Fang leaves the ring and goes after UA. UA and Fang brawl but then the Unknown
Assassin THREW Fang off the stage crashing into tables down below. Fang is out and medics are checking on
him. UA says that he’s officially taking
Fang’s spot tonight.

on him because of what he did at Elimination Chamber. It’s all about survival. Apollo says that since he gets a title shot
of his choosing, he is going to challenge Hardcore Hensen for the Hardcore
