Hello fans and welcome to another installment of the HCW Wrestling Newsletter. While the PWS 20th Anniversary Show is on everyone’s mind, tonight, we bring you the House of Horrors PPV. Every match tonight is going to be a specialty match. Tonight, the TV title is on the line in a triple threat street match, the Hardcore and Ladies titles will also be defended. We will see two qualifier matches take place and finally, a rematch. GM Max McGillicutty comes out to thank the fans and as we look around the stage, there are so many weapons that are expected to be used tonight. Looming over the ring hands a steel cage. Presumably, that will be for our main event when Korbi Kong and Violet Valkyrie square off for the Ladies title. Without further ado, let’s get this party started.
We
start off backstage with a promo from the Banker. The Banker's getting interviewed backstage in
front of a whiteboard. The interviewer asks him about the back to back losses
to Azrael ... "it was all part of the plan. I had to drop those matches to
give someone else a shot at the TV title. Then, taking the title back from
Azrael was also just too easy, so I made sure that Tobias could beat him. Now I
have the Triple Threat match I wanted. I want this test. HCW needs this test.
And tonight, at House of Horrors, it is the perfect time to reclaim what is
rightfully mine ... the TV Championship!" The interviewer then asks if he
is worried about taking on both Azrael and Tobias at the same time. He grabs a
marker, turns to the board and writes as he speaks, "Azrael (writes an A),
and (writes an N), Tobias (writes a T)" then turns to the camera
"I'll treat them like any other ANTs and stomp (double foot stomp) them
out!"

He holds the title high as the fans boo (in all honesty, they were going
to boo all three anyway). Tobias
confronts the Banker stating HE didn’t get pinned and that since that never
happened, the Banker is going to be a closet champion. The Banker chuckles and then DECKS Tobias
before grabbing the briefcase and SMASHING it in Tobias’ face. He then hit the Deposit Diving DDT on the
briefcase putting a huge dent into it.
The Banker made the cover while Ruth came in and did a very slow 1-2-3 count
(it didn’t matter, Tobias was out cold).
The Banker picks up his title and declares HE is the Real Deal. He and Ruth leave the ring while Azrael and
Tobias are tended to by ring attendants.
We cut backstage
where we see Phantom Frank had just been taken out. We know it’s not Madman Mason as he’s still
be attended to by medics. Is someone
trying to make a name for themselves?
Match #3: Wilber Townsend vs Jack Lumber
(non-title). If Wilber wins, he gets
another shot at the belt. This match is
using Pier 6 rules. Jack comes out first
to a huge pop from the fans. He briefly
visits the Lumber Lounge and then heads to the ring. He barely makes it in when the lights go out
and then a single lantern lights the stage.
Wilber Townsend makes his way out and he is wearing his creepy
half-melted Pennywise the clown mask. It
really is disturbing. Wilber gets in the
ring and although Jack appears calm, cool and collected, deep down, there is a
thread of something…fear? There must
have been something since Jack was not his normal self. Wilber took control early on and as time drew
on, he appeared to be getting stronger (channeling his inner Bray maybe). We join the match at the 11 minute mark…this
is when things went awry for Jack.

laughs as Jack holds his face and rolls on the mat till he falls out of the
ring. Medics were on the scene almost
immediately and tended to Jack getting him to the back for immediate medical
attention.
Match #4: Dr. Red Fang vs The Cerebral Stud for the
Hardcore title. This one will be a
“Brody Brawl” in memory of the late great Bruiser Brody. The Stud came out first to boos. Next, we hear “VAMPIRE LUNGES FOR EVERYBODY
INCLUDING LAME ASS HALL OF FAMERS”. This
was new as we’ve never heard Fang really speak that many words in one sentence
before. Anyway, back to the match.
After a slow start
(and some interference from his manager the Ambassador), Fang got the match
going and before you knew it, blood was flowing (just like in a typical Bruiser
Brody match). We join the match at the 10
min mark.

running off into the sunset, Dr. Red Fang is STILL here causing damage and
retaining a title no one can take, or wants to take, from him.” Just then, the Omegatron lights up with a
split screen. Dialing in on Zoom are HCW
Hall of Famers Texas Wildfire and Rad Gumbo.
Wildfire starts “One thing that has not changed in HCW is the Ambassador
and Fang flapping their gums. You two
just don’t seem to know when to quit.
But hell, I’m game. What do you
think Rad?” Rad takes a deep breath. “Mon Ami, dis knucklehead has a mouth that
just won’t quit. Maybe you and I SHOULD
do somethin’ about dat. I hear that der
is this 20th Anniversary show comin’ up. That sounds like a good place to dish out an
ass-whupping.” Wildfire chimes back in
“I couldn’t agree more. Fang, get
yourself a tag team partner and Rad and I will meet you at the 20th
Anniversary Tribute to PWS show this weekend.
We’ll see you there.”
The fans pop HUGE
at the announcement and Fang and the Ambassador go to brainstorm on who would
be evil but with a whimsical sense of humor who might fit the bill.
Match #5: Wicked Prophet vs Starbuck Steel
(non-title). If Prophet wins, he gets
another shot at the belt. Both men made
their way out (Starbuck to a pop, Prophet to a chorus of boos) and this one is
ready to get underway. Wicked Prophet
needs the win tonight if he wants a future shot at the World Title.

Some singed hair but at least he didn’t get blinded from it. Phew!
It’s time for our
main event. The music hits and everyone
looks up expecting Violet to zip down on the zip line but she surprises
everyone and comes out on the stage. She
gets a huge pop and makes her way to the ring shaking hands with the fans. The steel cage begins to lower, stops for a
moment, but then secures to the ring.
Violet makes her way around shaking hands with the fans before entering
the cage through the door. The music
changed and out comes the Ladies Champion Korbi Kong. Surprisingly, there was no “Korbi Kong Smash”
that typically precedes her music but didn’t play this time. She also interacts with the fans and then
enters the ring. The two women shake
hands and then step back as the bell rings to start the match.

made it to the door only for a mysterious woman show up and slam the door in
her face. She then enters the ring and
begins to viciously hurl Violet into the cage.
Korbi finally notices and tried to get back in but the door is
locked. She immediately climbs the cage
and enters from the top only to be met up there by the mysterious woman. This woman slammed Korbi’s head into the top
of the ring and Korbi fell to the mat.
The mysterious woman then jumped hitting the B-52 kneedrop from the top
of the cage onto Korbi. The fans are
stunned. Refs run out and yell to get
the cage raised. Security immediately
goes after the woman only for her to DESTROY THEM ALL. Once she dispatched the rent-a-cops, she left
through the crowd, disappearing…for now.
We do not know who
in the blue hell that was. I am sure
there is going to be some major investigation started. You will know as soon as we do so stay tuned.
