Hello
fans and welcome back to our newsletter.
We return back to our home in Phoenix, AZ just as the monsoon season
starts to pick up. GM Max McGillicutty
comes out and says tonight will be full of action and will have the World
Champion King CJ participate in a gauntlet match. He is interrupted when the Omegatron kicks on
and, speak of the devil, King CJ’s ugly mug fills the screen. He tells us that he needs the proper time to
prepare for a match of this magnitude so he will in fact NOT wrestle tonight
(the fans boo) but will consider the match for a future date. Max demands that CJ show up in person at the
next show and then they will discuss it.
Max says that later in the show, he will be announcing who the first
person to be nominated into the HCW Hall of Fame will be. He then leaves the stage so the show can
begin.
We
start off backstage with the manager known as the Ambassador. He says that things are not working out the
way he wanted with Wilber and the Huber Clan.
He has amicably parted ways with that team and will look at who he wants
to manage going forward.
We
go to the ring for our first match.
Kimberly Kiccass comes out first and she takes a mic and issues a
challenge to Lexy Flexx for her spot in the Women’s Top 10 lineup. Lexy comes out and accepts the match. This match was about as close as it could be
for the entire match. Both women were on
their A-Game but neither could get a solid lead over the other. These two put on a hell of a show. Kimberly started to get a little desperate
when she noticed that the time limit was quickly approaching. She locked in a back mounted chin lock but
Lexy somehow managed to shrug her off and then locked in the Dis-Arm-Her
Fujiwara armbar. Kimberly was near the
point of exhaustion but after failing to reach the ropes, she tapped out just
seconds before the match ended. Lexy
gets the win and retains her spot in a very hard fought match. (19:58).
Both women get a standing ovation from the crowd as they leave.
Cutting
to backstage again, the Ambassador meets up with another manager in Master Bull
and the two of them agree to a closed-door meeting to have a discussion.
Next
on the card, ‘Red Hot’ Lucas Johnston comes out to a pretty decent pop. He says he’s not going to just call people
out but says he will take on anyone from the back. He only has to wait a few seconds until Baron
von Blood comes out with his manager Ant Graham. The Baron says he will accept the match and
heads to the ring. Lucas starts off by
hitting the Baron with a flying dropkick that stunned him. After that, Lucas struggled against the
constant interference from Ant Graham.
If only he had a manager of his own.
Baron went for numerous pin attempts but Lucas just kept kicking
out. After the last time Ant interfered,
music hit and out comes the Ambassador.
What is he doing here? He motions
to Lucas and speaks to him. The two
shake hands and it looks like Lucas has himself a manager. The Ambassador then sneaks around and hits
Ant Graham knocking him down. He then
tripped the Baron and got a stern warning from the ref. Lucas then nailed the Baron once again with
the flying dropkick and landed right on top of him. He hooks the leg and gets the 1-2-3. Lucas Johnston is victorious and the crowd
seems to approve. (18 min). The Ambassador takes the mic and introduces
himself as Lucas’ new manager and has come to terms with and acquired the
contract for the Fiend. The Ambassador
says that his other newest protégé will also be in action tonight. Both men then leave the ring.
Back
in Max’s office, Southern Belle shows up.
Max asks her if she’s decided what she wants to do. Belle says she wants one final shot to prove
to herself and her fans that she hasn’t lost a step. She says she will win tonight or her in-ring
career will be over. “One last thing…”
is all we hear before the door to Max’s office is closed on the cameraman.
We
head back to the ring where Ant Graham is with Ivan Dragovich. Graham is still fuming about the attack on
him by the Ambassador and says the 5th Column will deal with him
when the time is right. For now, Ant
says that Ivan NEEDS to be back in the top 10 for the TV title and Ivan issues
a challenge to Handsome Hernandez. Max
comes out and says the match is sanctioned but one of these two men will be out
of the top 10 if they lose. The current
TV champion the Crocodile Hunter comes out and goes to sit at ringside to scout
the match. Handsome Hernandez comes out
and he makes his way to the ring. Ivan
was definitely the more aggressive in this match and with the guidance (aka
cheating) from Ant Graham, Ivan nearly takes Hernandez’s head off with a
spinning heel kick. He hooked the tights
and got the 1-2-3. Ivan is back in the
top 10 and Hernandez is out. Ivan
immediately turns to the Crocodile Hunter and issues him a challenge for the TV
title. Croc accepts. (13 min)
Backstage,
roving reporter Clarkus Kentus is conduction an exclusive interview with the
Savior. Clarkus asks why the Savior
attacked and savagely beat down his former partner. The Savior says that Drew abandoned their
team when they were supposed to be going for tag titles. Instead, he chose the life of a singles
wrestler which didn’t sit well with the Savior.
He says it is time to ‘save’ Drew from himself.
Our
next match will be 6 man action. The
Hubers (Ferb, Junior and Butch) come out first.
Tonight, they are taking on the Snake Pit (Leiton, Tobias and Niven
Snake). The time limit on this match was
pushed out to 30 minutes. The Hubers
looked really lost without a manager and the Snake Pit took advantage of that. The Snake Pit controlled the match and spent
time beating on each member of the clan.
Finally, Tobias hit Junior with a Hook and Ladder Facebuster. Junior’s family were so beat down they were
unable to make the save. Tobias gets the
win for the Pit and they move up in the 6 man tag team rankings. (24 min)
Larry
Morton is backstage and he comments on the attack that the Wraith unleashed on
the Stache. After the beatdown he took,
the Stache is expected to be out a few weeks.
Just as he tries to continue, the Stache shows up and gets a pop from
the crowd. The Stache says he took his
“Cena serum” (whatever John Cena does to come back fast from injury) and just
like that, he’s healed and once again ready for action. Stache knows the Wraith is not here today
because he is hiding at home. The Stache
says when the Wraith decides to “grow a pair”, the Stache will be right here
waiting for him.
We
head back to the ring and the Axe comes out and calls out Smasher #2 to
challenge him for his spot. Max comes
back out and says that the World title top 10 is overflowing with 11 qualified
challengers so this match will see one of these two men out of the top 10. Axe waits patiently in the ring and then ½ of
the World Tag Team Champions Smasher #2 with MJ comes out. Smasher #2 charges the ring and the match
begins. MJ was all over this match and he did everything he could to ensure his
guy would come out on top. Because of the interference, the Axe was at a
disadvantage for the majority of the match.
Smasher #2 clearly was on the way to victory until MJ thought he just
HAD to get involved AGAIN. The Axe just
got hurled into the corner and MJ went to go hit him but the ref somehow got in
the way and MJ blasted the ref. The ref
immediately disqualified Smasher #2 for outside interference and awarded the
match and the spot in the lineup to the Axe.
MJ tried to complain but the ref left.
MJ and Smasher #2 left the ring in a huff while the Axe celebrated his
win with the fans. (17 min)
US
Champion Superstar Chic Monroe questions why he has to wrestle tonight against
some nobody. When told he really doesn’t
have a choice in the matter, he relents but says that just to prove a point,
he’s going to kick this schmuck’s ass tonight.
The
Fiend makes his way to the ring accompanied by his new manager the
Ambassador. The Fiend gets a decent
reaction from the crowd. Chic comes out
next and those cheers immediately turned to booing and hissing from the
audience. Chic immediately went on the
offensive but tonight looked to be the Fiend’s night. The camera cuts to the Ambassador who is
holding something in his hand – papers by the look of it. All of a sudden, the Ambassador gets on the
ring apron and SLUGS the ref. The ref
immediately disqualified the Fiend. The
Fiend questioned what the Ambassador thought he was doing when he looked to
have one of the best matches of his career.
The Ambassador says that he OWNS the Fiend lock, stock and barrel
(flaunts the contract in the Fiend’s face) but says he really never had any
intention of pushing the Fiend; he only wanted to bury him. The Fiend is perplexed and then all of a
sudden, Phat Sol hits the ring and attacks the Fiend beating him down. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE??? Phat drops the Fiend with the Phat’s Enough
and he and the Ambassador stand over the Fiend. We will need to get to the bottom of this. (5 ½ min for the match; 10 for the segment)
GM
Max is back in his office and he says that tonight, he is honored to name the
first member to be inducted into the HCW Hall of Fame and that is none other
than…The Original Big Daddy Donnie B. He
says that every week, he will announce the remaining 3 members to be inducted
and once they have the information, they will let the fans know who will be
inducting them.
It
is time for our MAIN EVENT. First,
Taylor Bella makes her way to the ring to a pop from the fans. Next, Southern Belle comes out to a mixed
reaction. Taylor was in control of the
first third of the match but then Belle battled back and took over with both of
them trading the lead in the final few minutes.
The match was nearing the time limit and Taylor had been slipping so
with just seconds left in the match, she hopped out of the ring and in the
middle of being counted out, the bell rang bringing this one to an end. Max came back out and said that since Belle
chose to put her career on the line here, the match was not ending this
way. He ordered the match to be
restarted and given 10 more minutes to bring this one to a conclusion. Belle then opened up a can of whoop ass and
dominated Taylor and brought this one to an end 5 minutes later after hitting
Taylor with a flying body press.
Southern Belle gets the win but then asks for the mic. She says she’s given her heart and soul to
wrestling these last couple of years but like others before her who did not
know when to hang up the boots, she knows the time is now for her. The fans chant “No” and “Please Stay”. She thanks the fans for supporting her but
she has to announce her in-ring retirement.
She promises this is not the last we’ll see of her but for now, she has
to take time for “me”. With a tearful
farewell, Belle heads up the ramp and waves once before disappearing behind the
curtain for what could be the last time.
(25 min)
That’s
all we have for now. Stay tuned for more
action.
