Hello
fans and welcome back to our show. January
just continues with the action so without further ado, let’s get right to it.
The
show begins with a tournament to set up the top 10 for the world tag team
titles. There were 16 teams who were
vying for the coveted #1 spot but only one would get it. World Tag Team champs Donnie B and MW3 made
their way to ringside to sit and do color commentary. Before the tournament could begin, MJ got on
the mic and promised that the Ascension was going to win and that Donnie B and
MW3 would have to deal with HIS team.
Hahahahaha.
MJ
was right. The Ascension encountered
some resistance but ended up plowing through the following teams: Adam Rose and Adrian Neville, Sami Zayn &
Roderick Strong, the Desperados and Xavier Woods and Tyson Kidd. The Ascension stand in the ring staring at
the champs. Donnie B and MW3 stand up
and stare back at them. MJ ends up
leading his team away.
Big
Show comes out and says that no one is going to stop him as he prepares for his
US title shot. Bobby Lashley comes out
and says he is here to challenge Big Show for his spot. Show says that he worked hard to get to this
spot. This prompted GM Hulk Hogan to
come out and remind Show that no one owns their spot and they are always on the
line. Hogan says Lashley’s request is valid and that match is happening next.
The
match didn’t go as long as expected but what was expected was the dominance
from Lashley. He owned the North
American Champion and after beating Show down, hit him with the Dominator and
made the cover to get the 1-2-3. Lashley
moves up in the rankings and Show moves down.
The
first title match of the night has Hardcore Champion Sheamus taking on Mark
Henry using Brawl Games rules in a best of 3 falls 60 minute time limit
match. The first fall goes to Henry
after he KO’d Sheamus and he could not get back up before the 10 count. (13
min) Sheamus shook off whatever rust was
holding him back and in a 14 minute ass-kicking, Sheamus knocks out Henry and
gets the win. The third and deciding
fall will be a ‘Falls count anywhere’ match.
Henry was getting beat just like the last fall until he reversed an
irish whip and splashed Sheamus in the corner.
Sheamus wobbled out of the corner and Henry nails the World’s Strongest
Slam and gets the 3 count. Mark Henry is
the NEW Hardcore Champion.
Fighting
for the #7 spot in the Women’s top 10 is Southern Belle taking on Alicia
Fox. Belle was beating the tar out of
Alicia but Fox managed to plant a foreign object on Belle and once the ref saw
it, she was DQ. Fox was laughing at her
and then Belle went ‘Hulk’ on her. She
began beating the tar out of Alicia so she bailed. Master Bull came out and said that Fox wins
the #7 spot BUT Belle can challenge her for that spot at any time in the
future.
Master
Bull remained out and said that the match between Women’s Champion Angelina
Love and Ravishing Raquel would be postponed. He did not give a reason why.
Next
up is Shield member Seth Rollins taking on MW3.
This was a relatively short match as interference from Dean Ambrose
ended this one as a DQ. Ambrose and
Rollins were double teaming MW3 until Donnie B ran down and then he and MW3
cleared house. As soon as they were
done, the Ascension came out and attacked the champs. The champs fought off the Ascension and sent
them off like scalded dogs.
The
lights go out and then a single lantern comes on. Bray Wyatt is holding the lantern and he
makes his way to the ring. Bray says
this light symbolizes the final hope Angle has in keeping the Undisputed
Heavyweight Championship. Bray says that
the title is still rightfully his and he will keep doing whatever it takes to
get his title back. The lights come on
and out comes Kurt Angle, running at full speed towards the ring. Bray bails.
Kurt yells at him to get back in the ring. GM Hulk Hogan comes out and says that Kurt
owes someone the beating of a lifetime.
Normally, the Undisputed Heavyweight title is only defended at PPV’s but
if Kurt wants to, he can defend it anytime.
Kurt agrees and says that the match will happen. “IT’S TRUE, IT’S DAMN TRUE!”
We
cut to the back where the Icon Sting is being interviewed. He says he was not prepared for Brock before
but he now knows what he has to do. Brock will NOT put his shoulders to the mat
again for a 3 count.
We
go to the ring for our main event which is the second match between Brock
Lesnar and Sting. Brock is currently at
1-0. Sting comes out and is very
determined. This one goes 25 minutes and
as Sting promised, he shoulders didn’t stay down for 3. Sting took the fight to Lesnar and at the
end, Sting was pouncing on Brock in the corner but Brock moved. Sting saw it coming and stopped short of
running into the corner. Sting got Brock to the top rope and nailed a side
Suplex. He crawled over and draped an
arm over the Beast Incarnate. Sting gets
the win putting their series at 1-1.
Just
as the show is coming to an end, the 6 Man Tag Team Champions the A-Team
(Austin Aries, Antonio Cesaro and Abyss) make their way to the ring. They talk about the great singles wrestlers
here but no one can touch this incarnation of the A-Team. They are the best there is, (boos from the
crowd) the best there was (the booing gets louder) and the best there ever will
be (the booing is deafening now – they obviously stole that line from the Hart
Foundation). All of a sudden, we here
“Hola, I’m back…” come out over the loudspeaker and out comes the wrestler
formerly known as Alberto Del Rio. He
runs at the A-Team with a chair and clears the ring. He introduces himself now as Alberto el
Patron and he is here to personally dismantle the A-Team. ‘The Man’ Austin Aries asks him how expects
to do that on his own and Alberto says he asked for help and soon, he will
introduce them to the A-Team. Alberto
stands proud in the ring as the show comes to an end.
Thanks
for reading. Be sure to stay tuned for
more action.
