HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2016 – #462

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  The matches for Wrestlemania are really shaping up and everything expects to be finalized by next week for the 3-day PPV extravaganza in sunny (and warm) Phoenix, AZ.   It looks like Triple Crown Champion now has both competitors finalized with King CJ going after the HWF World title and Roman Reigns going after the CSWA title.

Today’s show begins with a battle royal to determine who gets to challenge Sami Zayn for the X-Division title.  The participants make their way out starting with Drew, the Canadian Love Machine, Mr. Wrestling #5, Jack Swagger, Big E and finally King CJ.  Big E first eliminates King CJ after Bray Wyatt appeared on the Omegatron and his Royalness got distracted.  Big E was then eliminated by Jack Swagger.  Swagger ate a Mr. Wrestling Superkick and was ousted by MW5. MW5 and Drew went for a couple of min until MW5 hit Drew with a clothesline hoping to send him over the top rope but Drew grabbed him and both men fell out of the ring and hit the floor at the same time. GM Max McGillicutty comes out and says the two will have a 1:1 match and that winner gets the shot at the X-Division champ. (15 min)

The next vignette for Rad’s World began.  This one takes place in a bar.  In the background, the music from ‘Rocky’ plays out.  As the camera pans around, in the background of the bar, we see…wait, who is that?  It’s Dario Cueto from Lucha Underground and ECW original Paul Heyman…what are they doing here?  The camera keeps moving until it settles on Rad Gumbo sitting at a table. 

He is approached by patron of bar who says “look at the big time wrassler.  Mr. Big Shot.  Ohhh, he learnt to wrassle from gators.  Why don’t you get up and show us whatchu got Mr. Pro Wrassler.”  Rad turns around and slaps him across the face.  “Boy…” the patron says and then Rad blasts him with a bucket of crawfish.   The guy is out cold.  “Das how we do it down in da Bayou.  Laissez les bon temps rouler!”  (lay-zay lay bon tom roo-lay meaning Let the good times roll!)  He picks up and downs a shot as it fades to black.

We head back to the ring for a Diva’s title match.  The challenger Cactus Jackie comes out amidst pretty heavy booing.  The champ Brie Bella comes out next and her reception isn’t much better.  Both women are in the ring and then collectively flip off the crowd and the crowd is just livid.  The two go right at it.  Brie controlled the match but a break came after Southern Belle came out.  Both women stopped and started to yell at Belle.  Belle yelled back.  Jackie stepped back and then locked Brie in the Desert Stretch.  Brie had made it to the ropes but Belle slapped her hand away and Jackie pulled her back in.  With nothing to save her, she had to tap out.  Cactus Jackie just won the Diva’s title.  Belle jumped in the ring and attacked Brie beating her down.  Jackie started to laugh until Belle turned her attention to her.  Belle began beating the HOLY HELL out of Jackie and Jackie had to bail.  GM Max McGillicutty comes out and says that Brie will get a rematch at Wrestlemania but Belle will also be getting a shot.  This Triple Threat match will see one winner and TWO who will be out of a job.  Belle stares at Jackie and Brie as they made their way to the back separately.  (15 min)

Prestige Inc. members Damian Sandow and Reid Rothchild meet up.  Sandow says neither the GM nor owners are saying anything but he knows something is happening.  He can’t put his finger on it.  Reid tells him he’s reaching on this.  Sandow says the writing on the wall is becoming clearer and it’s not looking good.  Reid tells him everything will be fine but Sandow just keeps pacing.

We head back to the ring for 6 man team action.  First, the Shield (Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose) make their way out.  Reigns says that he almost beat Bray Wyatt once and this time, at Wrestlemania, he takes the belt for good.  His rant is cut off as the Enforcers (Samoa Joe, AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels) make their way to the ring.  Joe is wearing a towel over his head/face.  The three rush the ring and the Shield meets them head on.  The Enforcers fell a bit short in the violence department as the Shield owned them all.  During a double team by the Enforcers, Dean Ambrose gets hurled out of the ring.  Letting his temper get the best of him, he grabbed a chair and hit Daniels with it causing the DQ.  Joe ends up hitting Seth with a Muscle Buster, Daniels drops Ambrose with the Angel’s Wings and AJ hit Reigns with the Styles Clash.  The Enforcers stood victorious in the ring as the Shield made their way to the back.  (16 min)

Cutting to the interview area in the back, Team Royal Red Show is interviewed.  King CJ says that tonight, they exact a measure of revenge against Wyatt and the Desperados.  Shit is going to get real tonight.  Kane says that Wyatt’s family will rest…in…Big Show cuts in and asks Kane “Wait, is that YOUR line?”  He laughs as Kane glares at him and then laughs.

Back to the ring for tag team action.  The Ryzing Storm (Terra and Travis) make their way out first.  Next, they are followed by the Steel Curtain (Buzz and Starbuck Steel).  Before the match can begin, the World Tag Team Champs the Ascension (minus their manager MJ) come out.  They sneer at the Steel Curtain as they walk over and sit at commentary.  The match barely gets going until Viktor stands up and hits Terra Ryzing for no reason causing the DQ.  He just screwed the Steel Curtain over.  They laugh until Buzz and Starbuck attack and they end up running off.  GM Max comes back out and says that this match will take place, again and  this time, without the interference.  This one saw the Steel Curtain take their frustrations out on the Ryzing boys.  Ryzing Storm basically had their asses handed to them (141 to 65).  Towards the end of the match, Travis Ryzing got injured leaving Terra on his own.  Buzz sets him up and nails the Buzz Kill.  With no one to save him, Terra got pinned.   The Steel Curtain get the win in 16 min.  Starbuck gets on the mic and tells the Ascension that at Wrestlemania, not only will they take the titles, but they will put them out once and for all. 

Bray is in the back with ALL the Desperados.  Bray says that we’re long overdue for the HWF and CSWA Universe to appreciate a new generation of gods. The Stache says that even in the presence of The Wyatt Family even the largest titans turn into mortals. El Chango says that there’s no point in resisting bow down and accept your fate. Leon Teremoto says that the earth will shake, oceans will boil and darkness will consume all. Bray says that The Apocalypse surrounds all of you. Bray says that he’s the angel of dirt, the eater of worlds, Bray Wyatt. Bray says that this war against your gods has just begun. Bray tells us to Follow The Buzzards.  El Chango says that once again, the Desperados are united but he and Leon have everything under control and tells the Stache he’s not needed tonight.  Bray gives him a stern look.

We head back to the ring for the 1:1 battle between Drew, the Canadian Love Machine and Mr. Wrestling #5.  Drew proved that he really wanted this match but after almost getting counted out, he had to regroup.  The Savior makes his way to the ring and gives Drew some good advice.  Drew finally hits MW5 with the La Casita.  He makes the cover and gets the win at the 9 minute mark.    Drew gets the shot at X-Division Champ Sami Zayn.  I think this match will prove to be a really good one.

Once again, we’re in the back.  Damian Sandow walks into Max’s office.  Damian asks what’s going on.  Max says he not sure what he wants to know but regardless, he can’t comment on administrative stuff.  Sandow says shit is hitting the fan and he knows it.  Sandow asks for his immediate release.  Max says no as he wants him at Wrestlemania.  If Sandow wants to leave after Wrestlemania, then he can.  Sandow says that he has no match other than participating in the battle royal and is he really needed for that?  Max reiterates that nothing will happen before Wrestlemania and he expects Sandow to be a professional and show up for the match as well as the fanfest.  He still has fans who want to see him.  Sandow nods and then leaves.

It’s time for our Main Event.  Team Royal Red Show makes their way out first.  Kane, Big Show and King CJ get a huge pop from the fans.  After they finally made it into the ring, Team Wyatt came out.  Bray leads the Desperados (minus the Stache).  Before the match can begin, Max comes back out and leads a bunch of backstage hands.  Max says that this match is too important for it to end in DQ or countout.  He sends all the backstage hands to the ring and the pull out fencing from under the ring.   They begin to assemble a steel cage.  The cage is up pretty quick.  Wyatt and the Desperados enter the ring and we are finally off.  CJ and Bray start off and beat the crap out of each other.  Bray’s team triple teams CJ until Show and Kane even things out.  Kane beat the snot out of Leon Teremoto and Big Show held El Chango at bay.  The Stache made his way out to the ring.  El Chango seemed pissed he was out there.  Stache throws a chain into the ring for El Chango to use but King CJ ends up intercepting it and he blasts El Chango with it.  CJ was not paying attention to where Bray was and Bray blindsided him.  Bray climbed to the top turnbuckle and Leon hoisted CJ up and Bray hit him with a sideslam and both crashed hard on the ring.  Bray made the cover and got the 1-2-3.  The Wyatt’s get the win and stand over a prone CJ, Kane and Show.  El Chango recovered and glared at the Stache as the show came to an end. (45 min)

HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2016 – #461

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.   GM Max McGillicutty starts off the show and tells us that Ronda is fine after that sneak attack by Stephanie McMahon.   Max says that Ronda suffered a small cut from the chair shot but will be fine.  He goes on to say that Stephanie and Ronda will not be back on until Wrestlemania (the fans boo).   Max shows a video from after the cameras stopped rolling.  After the last show ended, Ronda eventually recovered and chased Stephanie to the back.   Stephanie kept running until she got to her limo and sped off.  Ronda stood watching seething.  She mutters “Just you wait.”

A limo pulls up and out comes Big Show, Kane and King CJ.  They head right for Max’s office.

Our show kicks off with Mr. Wrestling #5 vs Tyler Breeze.  Mr. Wrestling #5 seems to fall short of both his predecessors Mr. Wrestling #4 and before him, MW3.  He just doesn’t seem to be doing a good job living up to the Mr. Wrestling moniker.  Breeze comes out after him and as soon as he hits the ring, the two of them lock up.  For this match, however, he really stepped up his game. He took the former X-Division champion and tossed him around like a rag doll.  The longer the match went on, the better Mr. Wrestling #5 looked.  Tyler got to the point where he didn’t think he could win the match so he exited the ring and ended up getting counted out.  Mr. Wrestling #5 wins this one but it’s a countout win.  Oh well.  (14 min)

Team “Royal Red Show” tells Max that they want a match against Bray and his cronies.  Max says they are not here tonight but the match will be set up for the next show.

We go back to the ring for the next match which has former CSWA World Champ and leader of the Enforcers Samoa Joe vs Shield member Dean Ambrose.  Joe had control of this one but every time he went for a pin or submission, Ambrose would get to the ropes.  Joe kept beating Ambrose down and thought he had it locked in when he locked Dean in a modified camel clutch but somehow Ambrose got out of it and hit the Dirty Deeds out of nowhere.  He made the cover and hooked the leg (probably had the tights too) and he got the win.   Shield members Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins came out and looked like they were going to attack Joe but AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels came out to even the odds.  Styles commented that Reigns was going to fail tonight in the fatal 4 way and both teams almost came to blows. Rollins challenged the Enforcers to a match next show and they agreed.

The announcers took time to talk about ‘The Ragin’ Cajun” Rad Gumbo and once again talked about how he wrestled gators in the Bayou swamps when he was a kid.  They spoke about how bullfrogs are prevalent in the LA swamps and marshes as are Cottonmouths and River Rats.  Next, lighting up the Omegatron, a vignette for Rad’s World began.  This week on Rad’s World…Rad Gumbo wrestles a Gator!   The video shows Rad jumping a Gator from behind and began to wrestle it.  After getting it flipped on its back, he pins it (hang on…is that a guy in a gator costume?).  Rad climbs out of the water and settles down on the ground.  “See dat Mon ami?  Dat is what I’m goin’ do to your champs…I’m gonna beat dem silly and take whatever title I want.  Wrestlemania…here I come.”  The fans boo as the vignette ends.

Time to head back to the ring for a title match.  Hardcore champ the Stache is defending his title against Uhaa Nation.  We haven’t seen much of Nation since he debuted but he gets a chance right now for glory.  This one is an ECW rules match.  This was a breeze for the champ.  He was able to easily beat down his challenger.  The match was interrupted when Desperado member El Chango came out.  He climbed in the ring (this is a no DQ match) and assisted in the beat down on Uhaa.  He then told Stache to go for the pin which he did and got the 3 count.  El Chango raised the arm of the Stache and then asked for a mic.  He said that he doesn’t feel Stache can successfully defend the title against Shane McMahon and says he should lay down right now, let him become the champ and he’ll teach Shane the meaning of pain and suffering.  The Stache says that will all due respect, no.  El Chango gets pissed and right then and there, challenges the Stache to a non-title match.  He says that if he wins, he wants to be part of the match at Wrestlemania.  Stache agrees.  Both shake hands but won’t let up.  The ref had to come in and separate them.  (19 min for the match; 25 total for the segment)

In the back, Drew the Canadian Love Machine approaches GM Max and asks if he can challenge for a title in the HWF.  He says he is intrigued by X-Division champion Sami Zayn and would like the opportunity.  Max says that a challenger for that title has not been determined yet.  He says he’ll allow it but only if Drew participates in a battle royal with the rest of the contenders for that title and he wins.  If Drew can do that, he will make the match official.

We go back to the ring for our next title match.  Kevin Owens defends North American title against Curtis Axel.  The Savior makes his way out first and sits at commentary.  For about 4 minutes, Axel looked like he was going to score another upset but then Owens just beat the shit out of him.  Owens didn’t like being in this match and he took all that out on Axel.  Finally, he decided enough was enough and hit Axel with a Package Piledriver and got the 1-2-3 (final score was 156 to 69).  Owens took his title and got into the Savior’s face but after the Savior wouldn’t back down, Owens gave up and just left.  (14 min)

Reigns is backstage talking and is interrupted by Lashley, then Angle then Orton.  Orton says he’s putting them all out and walking into Wrestlemania a winner and out the champ.

Paige (accompanied by Ravishing Raquel) vs Velvet Sky for the Women’s Title is on next.  There was a slight miscommunication as Raquel went to go trip Velvet but ended up tripping Paige instead.  That didn’t stop the champ from beating the tar out of Velvet and in only 4 minutes, she gets Sky to tap out to the PTO.  After the match, the two have words but eventually calm down and leave together.

After more pleading from the fans on behalf of Lucas Johnston (over 5000 signatures were gathered in a petition by that one lone person who thought Lucas was Red Hot), Max caves in and makes the US title match a triple threat match so it will be Dr. Red Fang vs Phat Sol vs Lucas Johnston at Wrestlemania.

It’s time for the main event.  This will be a Fatal 4 way to determine who will challenge Bray Wyatt for the CSWA World title at Wrestlemania:  Reigns vs Lashley vs Angle vs Orton.  Lashley was surprisingly a non-factor for the whole match.  The match looked more like a 3 way battle.  These 3 looked extremely strong and determined.  At one point, Angle hits Reigns with Angle Slam and goes for the pin but Orton punts him in the head and sends him to the outside.  Orton sets Reigns up for the RKO but as he goes in, Reigns nails him with a Superman punch.  Orton is down.  Roman makes the cover.  Kurt Angle is still on the outside and knows he won’t make it back in in time so he holds Orton’s leg down.  The ref makes the count 1-2-3 and Roman Reigns gets the win in 22 min.  Roman is going on to Wrestlemania to fight Bray Wyatt for the CSWA World title.  A pissed off Orton and Angle fought their way to the back (Lashley must have left and no one noticed) while Roman celebrated in the ring as the show came to an end.

HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2016 #460

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  The clock has officially started to countdown to Wrestlemania in less than 4 weeks.   Last show, we saw the debut (at least in vignette form) of ‘The Ragin’ Cajun” Rad Gumbo.  Not quite sure how to take him just yet but word on the street says he will debut in a match before Wrestlemania so at least before the big show, we’ll be able to see what “Louisiana’s Best” has to offer.

The show begins not with a match but with a promo in the ring.  Dirk ‘The Pick’ Devon makes his way down to the ring accompanied by his wife Cactus Jackie.  Devon grabs a mic and calls down his former tag team partner The Axe.  Axe makes his way out and he is not a happy camper.  He enters the ring and Dirk begins to verbally abuse him.  Dirk Devon calls him a failure and a quitter.  He says he just got tired from carrying a worthless heap of junk around and decided to cut the dead weight.  He says that there is not enough room in the CSWA and HWF for the two of them even if on different rosters.  He challenges the Axe to a Loser Leaves Town stipulation at Wrestlemania.  At first Axe doesn’t answer so Jackie jumps in and slaps him across the face.  Axe then blasts Dirk with the Axe sending him flying from the ring and Jackie, fearing for the same, hightails it out of the ring.  Axe picks up the mic and says “I accept” as the fans pop.  Dirk cusses at the Axe as he backs up the ramp.

In his office, GM Max McGillicutty says Rowdy Ronda Rousey will be wrestling tonight.  Max says he wants Ronda to have more in-ring action so that she is ready for Stephanie.

Maria and Jupiter Jane make their way out to the ring for the next match.  Maria gets on the mic and calls out the Beautiful People; specifically Angelina Love and Madison Rayne.  The two come out and are booed.  Maria throws out a challenge but Angelina says that Velvet Sky is not here nor is Madison ready to wrestle however she is.  She says she will take on Maria 1:1.  Maria says that if she wins tonight, she says that Angelina and Madison have to put a career on the line at Wrestlemania.  Whoever gets pinned must retire.  Angelina says she’ll accept that stipulation but tonight, she wants Jupiter Jane instead of Maria in the ring.  Jane agrees.

Angelina starts off like a fireball and Jane struggles to recover but after having time to recover after sending Angelina outside the ring, she picked right back up and took the fight to Angelina.  Madison jumped on the ring apron to distract the ref but Maria pushed Angelina off the top turnbuckle and she crashed on the floor.  Jane runs over and locks Angelina in a Tarantula and Angelina ends up tapping out.  Jupiter Jane gets the win and now either Angelina or Madison (if pinned or submitted) will be out of a job come Wrestlemania.  (5 min)

A limo arrives and out steps Ronda Rousey.  She smiles as she hears the fans POP for her.  She looks at the camera and says that she does all this for the fans and she’s ready for her match tonight.

Next on the card is the former King and member of Prestige Inc Damian Sandow taking on Dolph Ziggler.  Sandow was dismantling Ziggler for 10 solid minutes until a mishap (falling off a turnbuckle changed things.  Dolph hits a shoulder jawbreaker but then locks Sandow in a bodyscissors sleeperhold.  Sandow surprisingly faded fast and after his arm dropped for the 3^rd time, he was counted down and out and awarded the match to Dolph via submission.  Dolph celebrated with the fans and eventually left.  Sandow left on his own.  (12 min)

Back in the interview area, the Savior issues a challenge to Kevin Owens.  Owens walks over and says he doesn’t know who this schmuck is (both are from Canada so it’s kinda funny).  Owens says he wants a match tonight and offers the Savior a non-title shot.  If the Savior can win, he can have a title shot at the PPV.

Back to the ring we go for the next match between Curtis Axel and Christopher Daniels.  Axel immediately went right on the offensive and Daniels had no idea what was going on.  Axel dazzled the heck out of Daniels and stunning Christopher with back to back Prefect Plexes, he locks in a belly to back suplex and makes the cover for the surprising win.  Curtis Axel gets the rare win in 25 minutes.   Daniels couldn’t believe it and walked to the back in disbelief.

We just got word that Bray Wyatt will be fine.  After getting tossed off the stage, he actually landed on some extra ring padding that was stacked there.  I’m sure though that he will have something for King CJ, that’s for sure.

Time to go back to the ring for our next bout.  First out comes the Savior and his music plays as he strolls down to the ring.  Next, his opponent the North American Champion Kevin Owens comes down and doesn’t waste any time.  For 14 minutes, Owens controls the match but he underestimates the Savior after attempting a powerbomb, it is reversed and the Savior hits one of his own for a one count.  Owens is shocked.  The Savior then takes over and after “Laying on the hands” (aka pummeling fists), he catches the champ with a spinning heel kick.  The Savior rolls Kevin up for the 1-2-3.  The Savior wins the match and wins a shot at the title at Wrestlemania.  Owens, the sore loser, attacks the Savior after the match and hits him with a pop up powerbomb.  Kevin takes his title and leaves.  The Savior is helped up and he eventually leaves.  (18 min)

Roman Reigns comes out and says that he came closer than anyone to defeating Bray Wyatt.  He says he deserves the next shot.  Out comes Kurt Angle who says he’s next in line so it should be him.  This prompts Bobby Lashley to come out saying he has a better record than Kurt and he should be next.  Finally, the Viper Randy Orton comes out.  He says he’s been a champion longer than anyone in the ring and with his family’s background (father and grandfather were both wrestlers) he is the only one with the pedigree to win.  The four of them argue until Max comes out and says that the 4 of them will wrestle in a Fatal Four Way match with the winner getting a shot at the CSWA World title at Wrestlemania but that match will not be tonight.  It will take place on the next show.

Backstage, King CJ has a message for us and specifically Bray Wyatt.

“Bray...Wyatt...i see you week after week defending your championship titles successfully against top opponents... the best in the business...and for that THE KING tips his crown to you...but you also speak of heroes and butterflies...and you surround yourself you bullies and crybabies...and for that THE KING is NOT impressed... picture this wrestle mania...the largest ppv in all of sports entertainment.. the undisputed triple crown champion vs THE KING of the ring.. a truly regal event to determine who will reign court over the hwf/cwsa an unlikely hero vs a villain who holds siege with cowards and thugs....can you feel it…the excitement the overwhelming electricity that is in the air...you see bray THE KING shows up and shows out ...he was made for moments like this...so bring your belt...bring your ‘A’ game…be prepared to go to war..  Just dont bring you disshuttled band of thugs...because believe me i roll with Giants and BIG RED KILLING MACHINES!!!!

 CAN YOU DIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGGGGGG ITTtttttttttt...#hashtag out” (drops the mic)

Just as King CJ is walking away, Bray Wyatt attacks him and with help from the Desperados (El Chango and Leon Teremoto), the beat down on his royalness until Big Show and Kane show up.  Bray stomps on CJ one last time and he and his team take off while Kane and Show check on the King.  El Chango and Leon Teremoto run back in and hit both Kane and Big Show with chairs before running off again.

Now, it is time for the Main Event.  Ronda Rousey makes her way to the ring to the biggest pop of the evening.  Her opponent, Cactus Jackie comes out second and is booed about as equally as Ronda got cheered.  Even though Jackie tried to attack Ronda, she was waiting.  In fact, Ronda wiped the mat with Jackie.  Jackie tossed Ronda to the outside in hopes of catching her breath but the Rowdy one wouldn’t let that happen.  Jackie got a lucky shot in and locked in the Desert Stretch and even though she grabbed the ropes for leverage, Ronda powered out of it.  Finally, Ronda caught Jackie with the armbar submission and instead of going for the submission, she surprised everyone and turned it into a pin which got her the 1-2-3.  Ronda gets the win in 14 minutes.  After the match, she celebrated with the fans at ringside.  As she made her way around the ring, she was signing autographs and shaking hands but passed over one person.  That person then climbed over the barrier – WHAT THE HELL – and attacked Ronda putting her down.  She then grabbed her chair and hit Ronda with it.  This person removed her mask and wig and it’s…OH JEEZ…Stephanie McMahon.  Stephanie laughs and put a foot on Ronda all the while calling the fans stupid and gullible.  The show then came to an end.

HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2016 #459

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  The matches for Wrestlemania are really shaping up as tempers start to flare.   A couple of issues ago, GM Max McGillicutty alluded to a new hire and here is a short vignette introducing “The Ragin’ Cajun” Rad Gumbo.

A vignette starts with a graphics that reads “Rad’s World”.  Rad Gumbo sitting at a table as the camera zooms in on him.  "Let me tell you somethin' mon ami. If you tink I afraid o' anyone den you are craaazy. I will tap 'em out right quick now.  No Rougarou ([roo-gah-roo]…According to Cajun legend, it is a creature that physically transforms from a man into a wolf or dog or even a bird) will stand in my way o’ winnin’ any title I want. Doesn’t matter who dey are…just know I’m a commin’ for ya.  Next week on Rad’s World, I gonna show ya where I learned to wrassle so come on back, ya hear.”  (editor’s note:  I’m not that great at translating Canjun so from time to time, Rad’s accent will stand out and when it doesn’t and reads like normal English, it’s because I have no idea what he said and just guessed).

Sitting at ringside, the announcers talk about how he wrestled gators in the Bayou swamps when he was a kid.  They talk about how bullfrogs are prevalent in the LA swamps and marshes along with Cottonmouths and River Rats.

The show kicks off with pyro and then we go right to our first match.  This one will determine who will be challenging the Wraith for the Elitist Title at Wrestlemania.  First, Ethan Carter III makes his way out.  He is then followed by the Axe and then finally by Reid Rothchild.  Right off the bat, Ethan went right after the Axe (because he’s the biggest of the 3 of them) and immediately put the Axe on the defensive.  Reid would toss Ethan out of the ring and he and the Axe would fight on their own.  This went on for 15 minutes.  Ethan would be the first to make a pin attempt after hitting the Axe with a Northern Lights Suplex.  Axe, with still too much in the tank, kicked out easy.  Ethan then dragged him to the corner and smashed his knee against the steel post.  The Axe looks to be really hurt now.  Reid comes over to check but immediately turns and nails Ethan with a Reid Bottom.  Ethan rolls out of the ring.  Reid looks at the Axe and pulls him to the middle of the ring.  He then locks in the Figure Four ReidLock and with nowhere to go, Axe has to tap out.  Reid Rothchild wins the match and will be the one to meet the Wraith at Wrestlemania.  While Reid is celebrating in the ring, the Wraith runs down to the ring and blasts Reid from behind with the Elitist title.  He stomps away on Reid before hurling him out of the ring.  The Wraith stands tall with his Elitist Title but then leaves moments later.  (20 min)

In the back, Diva’s Champion Brie Bella says she was coerced into a match against Southern Belle and says now it won’t happen and no one can make her.

We head back to the ring for our next match.  Red Hot Lucas Johnston comes out first and the pop he gets is almost deafening.  For this match, Lucas has challenged Adrian Neville for his spot for the US title.   Adrian, a member of the A-Team, felt he had a lot to prove in this match but Lucas held his own very well.  You could tell that Johnston is a ‘Red Hot’ commodity right now.  Neither man allowed for any type of pin nor submission until Johnston caught Neville with the “Red Hot” flying dropkick.  He makes the cover and the ref counted 1-2-3.  Lucas Johnston is now a contender the US title held by Dr. Red Fang.  Johnston hasn’t forgotten about Fang and says he will make sure he never does.  (10 min)

In the back, Shield member Roman Reigns says that tonight, he brings the World title to the Shield after he defeats Bray Wyatt.  Tonight is his night and nothing will stop him.

We go to the ring for our next match.  First, out comes the Beautiful People (Angelina Love, Velvet Sky and Madison Rayne).  Angelina says no one in the back can touch them as far as skill and beauty go.  The challenge is answered by Maria & Jupiter Jane.  Maria and Jane surprisingly took the match to the team of Madison and Angelina so much so that Velvet thought her team was in jeopardy of losing so she hit Maria with a chair causing the DQ.  The Beautiful People quickly regroup and take off.  (15 min)

Backstage, Alberto Del Rio says tonight, he is winning the US title from that uncouth Dr. Red Fang.  He will show him what an aristocrat looks like in the ring.

Next up we have the Women’s battle Royal with 8 participants.  The final participant and her team get to take on the Women’s tag team champions at Wrestlemania.  The Champs – Charlotte and Sasha Banks – sat at ringside.  This one consisted of the New Hart Foundation (Natalya Neidhart & Tamina Snuka), the Bella Twins  (Nikki & Brie), Taylor Bella and Madame Jade and Southern Belle and Velvet Sky.   Velvet was eliminated by Tamina; Natalya by Belle; Madame Jade by Nikki Bella; Tamina by Nikki; Belle by Brie (after Cactus Jackie ran down and distracted her.  This led to the two of them fighting all the way to the back).  This left the three Bella sisters left.  Brie told Taylor that she should leave the ring and let her older sisters take this one.  Taylor said no.  Nikki then threw Taylor into the ropes but she held on.  Brie went for a body press to take her out but Taylor ducked and Brie went sailing over the top rope.  Nikki was pissed and started to pound on her younger sister.  After reversing a Bella Bomb, Taylor hit Nikki with a flying dropkick that sent her over the top rope and to the floor.  Taylor Bella and Madame Jade get the title shot at Wrestlemania.  Charlotte and Sasha jump Taylor and beat her down.  The champs then stood over Taylor holding their titles high until Madame Jade ran back down and chased them off.  Jade helped Taylor to the back.  (20 min)

Bray Wyatt cuts a quick promo on Roman Reigns.  "I am everywhere. I am everything. It makes all the sense in the world why you would be afraid of me, Roman. Fear me, for I was born of this world's hatred and I feed off its sins. I am the color red in a world full of black and white. I am your mother's tears from the love you couldn't repay her. The buzzards are circling overhead. I am the sad truth that waits for you down below. I got your fear, Roman, right here in the palm of my hand, and your fear is my power, and my power is my control. I will rule your entire world.  Run."

Back to the ring for our next title match.  Champion Dr. Red Fang defends his title against A-Team member Alberto Del Rio.   Del Rio, the veteran in this match, owned it.  He kept Fang on the defensive most of the match which was odd for someone like him.  About 12 minutes into the match, we see what Fang really had up his sleeve.   It was Austin Aries who came in from the crowd and taunted Alberto from the front row.  Alberto at first was thrown off but it didn’t take long to drop Fang and lock him in a cross armbreaker but instead of going for the submission, he tried for a pin…a move that cost him.  As he went for the pin, he made a very nonchalant cover and Fang reversed the pin and with a hook of the tights, got the pin.  Dr. Red Fang stole this match.  The fans booed heavily at Fang as he took his title from the ref.  Aries then jumped the barrier and attacked Del Rio and the two fought to the back.  The fans pop huge when Red Hot Lucas Johnston runs down and chases Fang from the ring.  Fang exits through the crowd and doesn’t stop.  Lucas stands in the ring and says he too wants a shot at the US title and asks Max to make the match at Wrestlemania a Triple Threat match.  I guess we need to wait and see what happens.  (15 min)

GM Max comes out and tells the audience that Ronda Rousey will be here live next show so you’d better come back.  He plays a promo from Ronda saying she wants to make sure she’s 100% ready to go and what better way than to wrestle in front of the best wrestling fans in the world.  Huge pop for Ronda and she’s not even there.

It’s time for the main event.  First, the challenger Shield member Roman Reigns makes his way to the ring and he looks ready.  Next, the Triple Crown champion Bray Wyatt comes out next.  This match will be a 60 min best of 3 falls match.  Roman motions for him to get in the ring to get this started by the champ takes his time.  Finally, Roman is tired of waiting and goes after Bray but he was waiting for him.  Roman owned the champ and chipped away until he was able to drop Bray with a spear at the 22 minute mark to get the 1^st fall.  This only pissed Bray off.  After two minutes brawling in the ring, both men ended up outside the ring.  Bray tripped Reigns who hit his head on the steel steps busting himself open.  Bray dragged him back in the ring and nailed Sister Abigail and made the cover to get the 2^nd fall at the 3 minute mark.  Roman gets taped up by the ref so he can continue.  Seeing his own blood infuriated him.  He once again tore into Bray and was beating him senseless.  Roman ended up taking Bray outside the ring and was going to piledrive him on the steel steps.  Bray managed to get out of it and grabbed Reigns by his hair and smashed his head back into the steps.  Roman is bleeding through the bandages.  He takes him back into the ring and hoists him up and nails a running senton.  He makes the cover and a weakened Reigns can’t kick out.  The ref counts 1…2…3.  Bray Wyatt is successful in his title defense although Reigns really gave him a serious run.  We may see Reigns and another title match in the near future.  (9 min for this fall; 34 minutes total).  Just as Bray was leaving, King CJ appears on the stage.  An exhausted Bray makes his way up the ramp and looks CJ in the eyes.  He swings but CJ ducks and after hitting a kick to the gut, he tosses Bray Wyatt OFF the stage and to the FLOOR BELOW!  Holy Crap! Chants ring throughout the building.  CJ stands on the stage staring at the broken form of Bray Wyatt below.  This brings the show to an end.

HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2016 #458

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  As was mentioned last show, we are moving to a Wed/Sat schedule up until Wrestlemania.  We have lots of great matches tonight that include the tag team titles, the 6 man titles, the Women’s title, the Diva’s title and the Intercontinental Championship.   GM Max McGillicutty comes out and says that they only have 2 hours tonight so he has to put a time limit on each match of 20 minutes.  He’s confident all the current champs will retain in that amount of time or we’ll see new champs.

The show kicks off with the Diva’s title match.  The challenger and member of the 4 Horsewomen Sasha Banks makes her way to the ring.  The champ’s music hits and out comes Brie Bella accompanied by her sister Taylor.  She raises her sister’s arm and then head to the ring.   While Sasha is in the ring, Nikki attacks her from behind beating her down.  The rest of the Horsewomen (Charlotte, Becky Lynch and Bayley) hit the ring and chase the Bellas out.  Sasha is in no shape for a match.  Bayley asks if she can fill in for her.   Sasha agrees.  Charlotte and Becky Lynch help Sasha out of the ring and Bayley is ready for her match.  Bayley maintained a slight advantage over the champ but after Nikki tripped her at the ropes, it allowed Brie to hit the Sitout Facebuster and hook the leg (and tights) for the pin.  Brie Bella celebrates before being chased out of the ring by Bayley.  (9 min)

We head to the back and El Chango and the Stache appear to be having words.  El Chango tells the Stache that he lost his edge and now he’s helping out their enemies.  Stache says that they weren’t always assholes to everyone and maybe El Chango needs an attitude adjustment.   The two begin shoving each other and Leon Terermoto has to break it up.  “HEY” he yells.  “Remember what Bray said.  Do YOU want to be the one to incur his wrath?”  They stop and mumble “no” and Leon instructs them to shake hands and put this crap behind them.  The reluctantly do and that ends that segment.

We go back to the ring where the Shield (Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins) are making their way to the ring.  Tonight, they get their hands on the 6 Man champs New Day (Big E, Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston).  The champs head to the ring and are acting all goofy and the fans are eating it up.   The Shield started off strong and beat the crap out of the champs.  Unfortunately for them, the time limit would run out before they could get their pin.  Big E had just nailed Dean Ambrose with the Big Ending but Seth Rollins sent E out to the floor.  While Big E was recovering, the bell rang.  The champs immediately grabbed their belts, and hightailed it out of there.  With the beating the Shield gave them, I’m sure they will see a rematch in the future.  (20 min time)

Women’s champion Paige is approached by her opponent tonight Maria Kanellis and Maria tells her that tonight a new champion will be crowned.  Paige says that if Layla is so sure she’ll win, why doesn’t she put her career on the line.  Maria says Absolutely but only if Paige does the same.  Paige agrees.  So I guess one person will walk away with the title and a career and the other will be looking for work.

We go back to the ring where Forgotten member Erick Rowan accompanied by Braun Stroman and Luke Harper all make their way to the ring.   The ref immediately sends Stroman and Harper from the ring leaving Rowan by himself.  The Intercontinental Champion Magnum Kone makes his way to the ring to a nice pop from the fans.  Rowan immediately attacks the champ.  The champ battled back and took the fight to Rowan.  Suddenly, Haagen and Daas made their way down to the ring through the crowd.  Rowan then “accidentally” bumped the ref and then went after Kone.  The three men triple teamed Kone until he “hulked up” and quickly dispatched both Haagen and Daas and then took the fight to Rowan.  Magnum threw Rowan into the corner and then nailed the Ice Cream Sandwich (splash) just as the ref was recovering.  Magnum went for the cover and got the pin.  Magnum Kone is victorious in his title defense.  (9 min)

In the back, Brie Bella runs into Southern Belle and mocks her for not being a good representative of Women’s wrestling.   After letting Brie run her mouth for a moment, she slaps the SHIT out of her. Brie’s eyes go all wide and can’t believe what Belle just did.  Belle stands over her and says that is only a small piece of what she can do.  She issues a challenge to Brie for the Diva’s title and that match will be at Wrestlemania.   Belle threatens to smack her again and Brie agrees.

Maria makes her way to the ring to a mixed reaction from the fans.  The Women’s Champ Paige comes out and gets a good pop.  She rushes the ring and Maria bails.  Paige holds her title high and then eventually Maria gets back in the ring for the match.  Maria hits the ref and that causes a DQ.  A career can’t end on a DQ.   Max comes out and asks if Paige still wants the match and she says yes and no career needs to be on the line.  Maria attacks Paige but is shrugged off.  3 minutes later, Paige locks Maria in the PTO and she taps out.  Paige retains her title in quick fashion.  Maria storms off.  (3 min)

The Steel Curtain make their way to the ring and sit at commentary. 

It’s time for the Main Event but GM Max McGillicutty comes out first.  He says that they’ve done a great job adhering to the time schedule so he’s giving the main event a ONE HOUR time limit but will makes this a best of 3 falls match.  First, the Enforcers (Mark Henry & Ryback) come out first.   Next, MJ leads his team the Ascension (Konnor & Viktor) to the ring.  The Ascension saw the Steel Curtain at ringside and began to complain.  The ref didn’t want to hear it and after sending MJ out of the ring, started the match right off.   The champs immediately DESTROYED their opponents and after 4 minutes, injured both of them.  The Steel Curtain stood up and tried to point it out to the ref but MJ got in their face telling them to STFU and sit down.  Buzz took offense and chased MJ from the ring.   At the 5 minute mark, Viktor nails a forearm smash to an incapacitated Mark Henry and covered him for the win.  The ref then pushed the Ascension back and told them to give Henry and Ryback a few minutes to recover.   When the time passed, the ref started the second fall.  The champs held the advantage over the Enforcers for the entirety of the match but after getting hit with the Fall of Man on the outside of the ring, Ryback could not make it back in nor could Henry make the save.  The Ascension are victorious and win via countout.  (15 min).  Immediately, they go after Starbuck Steel still sitting at ringside but with Buzz Steel’s return, the odds quickly evened out.  GM Max McGillicutty comes out and says that they still have a lot of time on the clock and says that the fans really want to see more.  Buzz says that they’ll take on the Ascension right here and now and the fans pop.  Max says that he can’t put the titles on the line however if the Steel Curtain win, they not only get the title match at Wrestlemania but get to pick a special stipulation.  They agree and hit the ring and the Ascension bails.  MJ gets on the mic and tells Max that the Steel Curtain have everything to gain but nothing to lose.  Max agrees and says that if the Ascension win here and now, the Steel Curtain will NOT get a title shot at Wrestlemania.    Max adds that this will be a no DQ match.  The Ascension hit the ring and our match begins now.  Both teams just beat the crap out of each other for 30 minutes.  All 4 men took a real beating and the champs were looking victorious.  MJ then decided to stick his nose in.  He picked up a chair and slid it in (legal in this match).  Viktor picked it up but Starbuck hit Viktor with a hangman’s DDT and the chair fell to the mat.  Both men end up making the tag and Konnor pops Buzz a good one and then climbs the turnbuckle.  Buzz follows him up and then hits a suplex from the ropes and Konnor hits the chair laying in the ring.  Buzz makes the cover and gets the 1-2-3.  The Steel Curtain are victorious in this hellacious 36 minute battle.   Max makes his way back down and tells them they get the Tag Team title shot at Wrestlemania and asks them to pick the match they want.  Buzz motions to Starbuck and he says that he is choosing a match type that has never been used in the HWF or CSWA.  The match type will be an Oklahoma Bullrope, Coleminers Glove, Come Dressed as you are Streetfight in a barbwire cage.  The fans pop HUGE at this announcement while the Ascension and MJ look like the Grim Reaper has just claimed their souls.

With that, the show comes to an end.  The countdown to Wrestlemania has just begin.  Stick with us as this is going to be a fantastic ride.

HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2016 – #457

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  We have been informed that due to a change in scheduling for our events, we are moving to having our shows on Wed’s and Sat between now and Wrestlemania.

The show kicks off with a title match.  The challenger and member of the Desperados Leon Teremoto makes his way out first.  Leon gets on the mic and runs down the fans first and then Shane McMahon for thinking he could take him on (no, he is not giving Shane a match anytime in the near future – “Life’s a bitch rich boy”) and finally X-Division champ Sami Zayn.  Leon comments Zayn isn’t good enough to hold his jock strap and it cut off when the champ makes his way to the ring to a huge pop.  Sami stares at Leon before holding the title high above his head.  Leon doesn’t like that and immediately attacks Zayn.  Leon controlled the match for the first 11 minutes and then Sami kicked it into high gear.  Both men hit lots of high impact moves but none could score the pin.  Just as the 28 minute mark hit, the Omegatron lights up and starts to play “Here comes the money” (Shane McMahon’s music) and Leon turns to the ropes to await Shane.  Leon looks perplexed when Shane doesn’t come out.  He turns around and Sami hits a wristlock tornado DDT.  He makes the cover and gets the 1-2-3.  Sami Zayn wins this one and retains his title.  Sami leaves as Shane finally appears on the Omegatron and tells Leon “You’re right.  Life IS a bitch.”  Leon leaves the ring rubbing his neck.  (28 min)

Backstage, there is an altercation between Eric Young, Bobby Roode and Bray Wyatt.  Roode accuses Wyatt of hiding from them and EY says that the HWF and CSWA are not big enough for all of them.  Bray offers to put the World title on the line in a triple threat match.  Bobby and Eric agree and seem happy enough until Bray says that if they lose, they both must LEAVE.  Wyatt starts to laugh as he walks away.  Bobby and Eric look at each other as if they were dinner for a jungle cat.

We go back to the ring for our next match.  First, out comes the New Hart Foundation Natalya Neidhart and Tamina Snunka to a decent pop.  Their opponents for this match are Taylor Bella and Madame Jade.  This match is for placement in the top 10.  One team moves up while the other moves down in the rankings.  Taylor and Jade surprisingly took the match to the New Hart Foundation and controlled the tempo of the entire match.  Lots of double teaming by Taylor and Jade kept Tamina and Natalya off their game.  Towards the end of the match, during a double team, Taylor sent Natalya out of the ring via dropkick and Nattie barely made it back in before the time ran out.  Jade distracted Tamina and after hitting a monkey flip, Taylor made the cover and got the 1-2-3.  Taylor Bella and Madame Jade pick up the win and get to move up in the rankings.  They got a nice pop from the crowd as they left. (25 min)

The Viper Randy Orton has arrived backstage and he makes a beeline for GM Max McGillicutty’s office.

Back in the ring, we are ready for our next match.  The X-Factor (AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels) are taking on the A-Team (Adrian Neville and Antonio Cesaro).  All four jump in the ring and immediately start brawling.  It took a few minutes for the ref to gain control of the match.  It didn’t help the situation when Alberto Del Rio and Austin Aries came down and got involved.  The ref was ready to throw the match out but things settled down just before the point of explosion.  This match was extremely close the entirety it went on.  One team never got a huge advantage over the other.  Try as they might, this one ended up coming to an end when the time limit bell rang.  Aries and Del Rio got involved and it was just another slobberknocker.  Suits from the back had to come out and break things up.  (30 min draw)

Back in Max’s office, Randy Orton is saying how he should be back in line for a World title shot.  Max comments that Randy’s been gone for some time and why does he think he’s automatically back in the title hunt.  Kurt Angle walks into the office and Randy yells that this is his time.  “Who do you think you are barging in on MY time?”  Angle steps back “Who do I think I am?  I’m an Olympic Gold medalist (who won it with a broken freakin’ neck) and multi time champion, that’s who.”  Orton and Angle have a staredown.  Max says the two of them can fight it out on the ring tonight.

We go back to the ring for the next match which is for the Hardcore title.  The challenger, Goldust, comes out first.  Next, the champ the Stache comes out to a decent reaction.   Almost immediately, Stache rakes Goldie’s head with spurs and the blood begins to flow.  Stache then pulls him out of the ring and piledrives him on the concrete.  Stardust runs down and starts to have words with the champ.  This gives Goldust time to recover and get back in the ring.  After some back and forth action, Stache nails the tombstone (piledriver) but only gets a 2 count.  Back out of the ring they go and Stache looks to really hurt Goldust.  Stardust, still on the ramp, calls for medics.  They run down but deem Goldie is ok to continue.  Goldust then turns and blasts the Stache with a chair and the ref almost counted him down.  Stache blasts Goldie with a baseball bat and he is down but makes it back to his feet.  Goldust hits Stache with a roll of quarters and he drops but eventually makes it back to his feet.  After more back and forth action, Stache locks Goldust in the handlebar (camel clutch) but Goldust won’t tap out.  Stache then slingshot Goldust into the corner and he hit his head on the steel post.  He crumples back in the ring.  The ref starts to count and eventually hits 10 counting Goldust down and out.  The Stache gets the win in another impressive showing.  (14 ½ min)

Bray Wyatt cuts a promo with all the Desperados at his side (including a bloodied Stache) and says that the Desperados are united (he shoots El Chango a reprimanding glance) and promises to still be the champion after tonight.  “The buzzards will feast on the flesh and bones of the broken and they will be no more.  The Triple Crown champion has spoken.”  El Chango is the last to leave the area.

Max makes his way out and says that the winner of this match will be in line for a title shot at Bray’s World Championship.  The Viper Randy Orton comes out first followed by Kurt Angle.  The two instantly go at it and put on one hell of a match.  Orton dropped Angle twice with the RKO but was not able to get the 3 count.  Kurt hit the Angle Slam 3x but Randy kept kicking out.  Both men end up on the outside of the ring and Randy goes to throw Kurt into the steel steps but Kurt reverses it and Randy goes smashing into them appearing to hurt is leg/ankle.  He’s hobbling around trying to stay away from Kurt but Angle is like a shark in blood-infested waters.  He gets Randy back in the ring and goes to town.  Kurt ends up locking Randy in the Ankle lock in the middle of the ring and Randy has no choice but to tap out.  Kurt Angle gets the win and a future world title match.  After the match, Randy leaves on his own but whispers to the camera that Kurt has not seen the last of the Viper.  (17 min)

Max comes out and says that the referee for this match cannot be found.  Eric Young comes out and says he’s found someone and brings out “Sam” (aka Slow Count Sam) and EY says he vouches that this guy is on the up and up.  EY heads to the ring with “Sam” and then Bobby Roode comes out.  Undisputed Champion Bray Wyatt comes out last and surprisingly gets the best pop of them all.  Right off the bat, Bobby and EY double team Bray and the ref does nothing about it.  Finally, both men are sent to another corner and Bray then suplexes Sam out of the ring.  He is down and out.   Bobby tags himself in and EY doesn’t like that.  Bray and Bobby then team up and double team EY.  All three men end up fighting in the crowd and Eric climbs up a balcony and then hits both with a suicide dive from the balcony.  Eventually they all make it back to the ring and now Sam is up.  He threatens to DQ Bray but Bobby and EY plead for him not to.  Bray then nails Bobby with a frying pan and follows it up with Sister Abigail but Eric makes the save.  Eric ends up taking a plancha through a table but Roode makes the save (but he stomps on EY for good measure).  EY appears to be out of this one.  Bobby sets up a table but ends up being put through it via a plancha from Bray.  Bray pulls him back in the ring and nails Sister Abigail.  With no EY to save him, “Sam” reluctantly makes the count 1…2…3.  Bray Wyatt has just defeated both Bobby Roode and Eric Young to successfully defend his title and now both Bobby and Eric are out of a job.   “Sam” tried to admonish Bray again but ended up eating a Sister Abigail.  Bray stands victorious in the ring holding all his titles as the show comes to an end.  (17 ½ min)

HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2016 – #456

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  Tonight’s rare Saturday show starts off back in GM Max McGillicutty’s office.   As Max starts to talk about tonight’s show, Stephanie McMahon walks into his office.  Max says that he’s happy Stephanie is here and she will get to wrestle in front of the HWF and CSWA fans.  Stephanie asks who her opponent will be and Max says its Four Horsewoman member Bayley.  Stephanie laughs and says it will be a short match and she leaves.  Max says titles will be defended tonight including the Intercontinental, World, and Women’s tag team.  He says it’s time for the action to begin and we cut to the ring.

Our first match of the evening starts off with John Cena making his way to the ring.  The fans give him a decent pop with the others chanting “you suck”.  Cena’s opponent tonight will be Enforcer member Samoa Joe.  Joe comes out to a surprising pop (probably because they want to see him dismantle Cena).  Joe gets in the ring and the bell immediately sounds.  Joe immediately locks in a rear naked choke and Cena flails but eventually makes it to the ropes.  John can’t believe the ferocity Joe brought to the match.  Cena gets to his feet and walks right into a Muscle Buster. Joe makes the cover and gets the 1-2-3.  Samoa Joe wins this one in 2 minutes.  Joe laughs and leaves.  Cena, shocked, leaves right after him.

In the back, the Steel Curtain (Buzz and Starbuck) run into the Uso’s (Jey and Jimmy).  Buzz issues a challenge to them for their spot.  Jimmy says that they will agree on one condition…if the Steel Curtain lose, they cannot challenge for the tag team titles until after Wrestlemania.  Jey says that the Steel Curtain, for whatever reason, seem to be a highlight and it’s time for them to shine instead.  Starbuck agrees to the stipulation and that match will be later.

We head back to the ring for our next match and Bayley makes her way out.  She gets a tremendous pop.  Incredible.  After she gets to the ring, her music is abruptly cut off and Stephanie McMahon makes her way out.  It’s interesting to note that there is no ref.  Max comes out and says that the ref for this match came down with the sniffles and they need a new ref.  Out comes…Ronda Rousey dressed in a referee shirt.  The fans pop.  Ronda runs to the ring and of course Stephanie bails.  After some jawjacking, Stephanie finally gets in the ring and threatens Ronda to call this down the middle.  Stephanie held her own and partially controlled the tempo of the match.  After Stephanie threw Bayley out of the ring, she got in Ronda’s face and even pushed her into the corner.  Ronda threatened to disqualify her and even pulled back her fist to hit Stephanie but Steph backed off and turned right around into Bayley-to-belly suplex and Bayley made the cover and Ronda counted 1-2-3.  Bayley gets the win and the fans pop.  She leaves as Stephanie gets up.  She attacks Ronda who reverses the attack and locks in her patented armbar.  Stephanie hollers and screams but eventually gets out and runs back up the ramp cursing Ronda.  Rousey soaks in the cheers before leaving too.

(12 min for the match; 15 for the segment)

(Pre-taped segment. A dark room lit with candles sets the scene. The masked cameraman who helped attack Sol is in the shot. US Champion Dr. Red Fang enters the frame with the strap slung over his shoulder. He taps the title a few times before speaking).

“I said this was only the beginning. (Fang picks up a lit candle and holds it up to the camera) Phat Sol, all of your hopes and all of your dreams I hold in the palm of my hand (Fang blows out the candle and then tosses the candle aside). I took your spirit before I took your title. Before our match I saw the fear in your eyes. Everything that you had worked for was extinguished as the referee's hand hit the mat for the three count. When the referee raised my hand in victory I glanced down at your pitiful, broken carcass and laughed at how easy all of this was. If you're foolish enough to want a rematch, just remember the lengths I will go to to keep this title. Phat Sol the next time we meet...I may end your career. Choose wisely Blood Bag!”

After the promo Fang yells at the masked man to pick up the candle that was tossed aside. You see the masked man scrambling nervously to find the candle. Once he finds it Fang snatches the candle out of his hand, shoves the masked man out of the frame, holds the candle up to the camera and breaks the candle. Segment abruptly ends.

We go back to the ring for our next match which has Alicia Fox and Gail Kim challenging Charlotte and Sasha Banks for the Women’s tag team titles.  It took 18 minutes for the champs to actually find their groove and after that, it was all about the Horsewomen.  Charlotte and Sasha took turns beating down Kim and Fox after some successful double teaming, Sasha got Alicia cornered and locked in the straightjacket choke.  As Alicia was fading, she immediately hooked the leg and a weary Alicia could not kick out in time.  Charlotte and Sasha Banks get the win and have a successful tag team title defense under their belts.  The pose briefly for the fans before leaving.  (26 min)

Robbie E and Rockstar Spud make their way out to the ring and get on the mic saying that championship matches are passing them by and they feel they are not getting a fair shake.  They throw out a challenge to any team and says once they defeat them, they’ll be ready for the belts.  The lights go out and an eerie red light illuminates the way to the ring.  Kane and Big Show make their way out and I think Robbie and Spud may have had an accident.  They of course tried to run but Kane and Show stopped them.  Show nails Robbie with a giant headbutt and tags Kane in.  Kane nails a chokeslam from Hell and makes the cover for a two count.  Just as Show is tagged back in, Rockstar Spud nails him from behind with a steel chair resulting in a DQ.  That did little to dissuade Big Show as he dragged Spud back into the ring.  Kane got Robbie E and nailed another chokeslam from Hell just as Big Show dropped the Cutting Edge.  Robbie and Spud were out.  Kane and Show celebrated briefly before leaving.  (2 ½ min)

We cut to the back where Triple Crown champion Bray Wyatt is.  Bray says that now is not the time for cryptic messages but says King CJ will understand a new level of Pain at Wrestlemania but tonight, Xavier Woods gets to be the sacrificial lamb tonight.  Follow the Buzzards.

Eric Young heads to the ring for his match.  His opponent tonight is the returning Phat Sol.  Phat is looking pretty good after the annihilation at the hands of Dr. Red Fang.  Phat looks at the camera and promises he will get his title back.  EY tried to make the match hard for Phat but he held his own.  EY tried to leave a couple of times but Phat just brought him back into the ring.  As EY tried to whip Phat into the ropes, Phat reversed it and nailed a jawjacker (like a stunner).  Phat makes the cover and gets the 1-2-3.  Phat is victorious and is well on his way back to getting a rematch for the title he lost.  (20 min)

Goldust is in the back and tells Clarkus Kentus that he is in line for a shot at the Hardcore title held by the Stache.  Goldie says it’s time for the Stache to be invited to Shattered Dreams and that Hardcore title will become his.  “Stache, get ready for (deeeeeeeeeep breath) HA….Gooooold Dust.”

It’s time to head back to the ring for more action.  The Uso’s – Jimmy and Jey – come out first to a decent reaction from the fans.  Next, the Steel Curtain comes out and the roof practically blows off.   The Usos don’t like getting shown up so the attack SC as they enter the ring.  The Steel Curtain push back hard and double team the Usos.  The Steel Curtain beat back any offense from the Usos and dominated the match.  At the 5 minute mark, Starbuck nails Jey with the Buck-U and Buzz hurls him out of the ring.  They then blast Jimmy off the apron.  Jey doesn’t make it back in before the bell and this one is awarded to the Steel Curtain by countout.  After the match, Jey and Jimmy got back in the ring and had a staredown with Buzz and Starbuck.  The Uso’s end up extending their hands and everyone shakes hands and leaves.  (5 min)

Xavier Woods is in the back with New Day teammates Big E and Kofi Kingston and he says that tonight will be a New Day when he takes the World title from Bray.  Big E asks if he’s really up to it and says he’ll step in if need be.  Xavier says he’s got this.

We go back to the ring for our next title match.  Forgotten member Erick Rowan comes out and he’s accompanied by the Undertaker.  Undertaker takes the mic and tells Magnum Kone that tonight, he loses his belt and after Rowan is done with him, he will REST…IN…PEACE.   Intercontinental Champion Magnum Kone comes out and gets a big pop.  Haagen and Daas start to hand out ice cream to the fans.  Uh Oh, some of the fans are not liking what they are getting.  In fact, they are throwing the ice cream on the floor…what the heck….Haagen and Daas then attack Magnum Kone and beat him down.  Magnum eventually fights them off only to be attacked by Erick Rowan.  Haagen and Daas go over to the Undertaker who hands them envelopes with (most likely) a payoff in it.  They laugh and walk away.  Rowan beats down on Magnum Kone and then after Rowan distracted the ref, Undertaker nails a chokeslam.  Rowan picks up Magnum and nails a waist-lift-side-slam and then makes the cover for the 1-2-3.  Before the ref can announce Rowan as the winner, Max comes out and points out via replay that Undertaker interfered in the match and that he is nullifying this one.  He says that next show, Kone will get Rowan once again and the title will be on the line but Undertaker and the rest of the Forgotten will be banned from ringside.  Rowan tried to complain but the ref said Max is the boss and his ruling stands.   (16 min)

Stephanie McMahon makes her way back out to the stage and confronts Max. She tells him that he set her up and that no one in the CSWA or HWF will see her until her match at Wrestlemania.  The fans pop huge and practically boo her off stage.  Max waves as she leaves in a huff.  Max then says it’s time for the main event and leaves.

Xavier Woods makes his way out first accompanied by New Day teammates Kofi and Big E.   Triple Crown Champion Bray Wyatt comes out as he makes his way to the ring with all 3 championships on his shoulders.  Big E gets into Bray’s face and tells him his time is up.   This one had no time to even get anywhere because as soon as the bell rant, Bray immediately dragged Xavier out of the ring and DDT’d him on the steps.  He then rolled him back in and nailed Sister Abigail and got the 1-2-3 at the 1 minute mark.  Bray is victorious.  Big E then gets on the mic and says he is also a top contender and wants his match right now.  Bray agrees to it.  This one went a bit longer but the end result was the same.  After taking a beating from Bray, Big E gets dropped by a lifting forearm smash.  Bray makes the cover and gets the 1-2-3 at the 13 minute mark.  So Bray Wyatt just defended his title twice in 14 minutes and was successful both times.  As New Day left in disgrace, music hits and out comes King CJ.  CJ makes his way to the ring and doesn’t say a word while staring at Bray but he does point a finger to a Wrestlemania banner hanging from the rafters and the two just stare at each other as the show comes to an end.

HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2016 – #455

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  Tonight’s show starts off with a confrontation in the back.  Shane McMahon just arrived and he tells reporter Larry Morton that he wants a shot as El Chango and Leon Teremoto for attacking him.  Larry tells him neither are here today. Over walks Mr. Ken Anderson.  Ken blasts Shane about taking away spots (and money) from performers who are more deserving.  He says he wants Shane’s spot at the PPV and Shane tells Ken to put something on the line.  “What, like my career?”  Ken asks.  Shane says yes and if he agrees to it (and Max signs off on it), they can have their match tonight.  Shane dances a bit and then heads off to Max’s office.  Mr. Anderson smiles evilly.

We go to the ring for our first match.  Reid Rothchild comes out first.  Reid had challenged Ethan Carter III for his shot at the Elitist title.  ECIII comes out next.  Not surprising, the Elitist Champion the Wraith comes out and sits at commentary.  He waves at both men and sits down and puts on a headset.  The match reached the 8 minute mark and the Wraith was tired of sitting at commentary.  He grabbed a chair and then blasted ECIII with it causing Reid to be disqualified.  The Axe makes his way out and goes after the Wraith.  Just before the ref could raise Ethan’s arm, GM Max McGillicutty comes out.  Max says that he is sick and tired of the Wraith interfering in a match he has no part of.  Max says that at Wrestlemania, the Wraith will have to defend his title in a Fatal 4 Way between the Axe, Reid Rothchild and Ethan Carter III with the winner walking out as the champion.  The Wraith tried to complain but then got nailed with the Axe.  Reid then picked up the Wraith and nailed a Reid Bottom.  Ethan then hit a flapjack and hurled the Wraith from the ring.  The 3 men stood staring at each other for a moment before they all departed.  (8 ½ min for the match, 13 min for the segment)

We cut to the back where Max is on the phone and he’s yelling at someone…ah, he’s talking to Stephanie McMahon.  He blasts Stephanie for interfering in Ronda’s match.  He tells Stephanie that she is a paid talent and will wrestle on the next weeks’ show.  Max promises it won’t be against Ronda but “Daddy’s little Princess” will have her hands full for sure.  Max slams the phone down.

We head back to the ring for our first title match.  Newly crowned X-Division Champ Sami Zayn takes on Wade Barrett. Barrett makes his way out first.  “I’ve got some bad news for ya.   Yer gonna be the shortest champion on record…even shorter than that flat top no-talent Ron Garvin.”  The fans in attendance must have liked Ron Garvin because they booed the heck out of Barrett.  Zayn comes out next and the fans pop.  These two went toe to toe with both men trading the lead quite often.  Barrett hit Zayn with the Bullhammer twice but Zayn kicked out.  Zayn managed to hit his tornado DDT but Barrett had the presence of mind to get his foot on the rope.  Finally, Zayn caught a break after nailing Barrett with an exploder suplex.  He quickly hooked the leg before Barrett could realize what had happened and he got the 1-2-3.  Sami Zayn is successful in his first title defense. He celebrates with the fans before leaving.  Barrett sulked to the back and flipped everyone off.  (24 min)

In the back, Max meets with Shane McMahon and says he’ll greenlight tonight’s match against Ken Anderson.  He tells Shane there is a lot riding on this so he needs to be prepared.  Shane says he was born ready.

Mr. Anderson makes his way out to the ring first.  He gets on the mic and calls Shane a “spoiled little rich brat” who expects things to be handed to him and doesn’t earn a thing.  Shane comes out and instead of doing his feet shuffling routine, he heads right to the ring…all business.  Shane gets right into Ken’s face and Ken throws the first punch starting this one off.  Four minutes in, Shane stunned Ken with a huge forearm smash.  Two minutes later, Shane kicks Ken in the gut and then rolls him up for a quick 1-2-3.  Shane McMahon is victorious in his first ever match in the HWF and CSWA.  With that win, Ken Anderson is now out of a job.  Shane led the fans in “Na Na, Na na na na, hey hey hey, goodbye.   Ken just walked out never turning around.  (6 min)

We cut to a pre-taped vignette from Triple Crown Champion Bray Wyatt. 

"Children believe in superheroes, CJ. They wear masks and costumes because they want to believe that the world is good. They haven't lived long enough to understand that everything is a lie. My childhood, CJ, let me fill you in about something about Bray Wyatt. My childhood, it wasn't all rainbows and butterflies. You dare talk about your battles? Well I've got a few scars too. The world gave them to me. They gave them to me because it was my birth right to have them. They taught me that fire is hot and that blades are sharp. They taught me that everything that I love in life, sooner or later, is going to wither away and die. Well look at me now. I could be just like you. I could sign autographs and kiss babies and make sure that everyone buys all my merchandise. I could go home to my plastic girlfriend in my castle. I could take everything I fear and hide behind laughter. Tell jokes, make sure I feel better about myself. Yeah, CJ, that's you. But you were right about one thing. I am different than anyone you will ever face. Because at WrestleMania, I don't care if I never leave. I don't care if I die. As long as the world sees you the way that I do. Follow the buzzards."

We go back to the ring for our next title match of the evening. First, out comes Heath Slater.  He is followed out by North American Champion Kevin Owens.  Owens immediately starts beating down on Slater. For 16 minutes, Slater had the champ’s number. Heath hit Kevin with everything in his arsenal but he couldn’t keep the champ’s shoulders down for the elusive 3 count.  At the 18^th minute, Owens hit the KO pop up powerbomb and he took over.  Slater never recovered from it and after getting dropped with a running senton, Owens made the cover and got the win.  Kevin Owens is successful in his title defense.  (28 min)

Max makes his way out and says that in 2 short weeks, he will be debuting a new talent.  He will not disclose anything at this time but rest assured, new vignettes will begin airing and says that this new guy is totally “Rad”.  Max leaves so the Main Event can begin.

Tonight’s Main event will be another chapter in the rivalry between the A-Team (Alberto Del Rio, Adrian Neville and Antonio Cesaro) vs the X-Factor (AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels and (former A-Team leader) Austin ‘the Man’ Aries).   Aries and Del Rio have much bad blood between them after Aries was kicked out of the group he created.  The A-Team was killing it tonight but Del Rio did manage to hog up lots of the action and Cesaro & Neville didn’t appreciate it.  Del Rio did manage to get Aries in the match but AJ quickly came in to dispatch Del Rio.  This went on like this for 20 minutes.   Aries managed to sequester Del Rio in their corner and continued to beat him down.  Daniels gets tagged in and right away, hits a double jump moonsault and lands right on Alberto.  AJ and Aries dispatch Adrian and Cesaro and Daniels hooks the leg to get the 1-2-3.  The X-Factor win this one after being on the short end of the match.  Del Rio recovered after a moment and immediately went right after Aries.  Cesaro and Neville joined in the fray as AJ and Daniels came back in to equal things out.  The show came to an end as not only their teammates but the suits and refs from the locker room came out to separate the two.  There is a lot of bad blood between Alberto and Austin and this match did very little to settle it between them.  (21 min)

HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2016 – #454

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  DAMN, we can’t believe Dr. Red Fang won the US title so easily.  We can’t say that it was like a hot knife through butter as the butter was already melted when the knife hit it.  When Phat comes back, I’m sure he’ll be gunning for a rematch.

Today’s show kicks off with Women’s tag team action.  The Bella Twins (Brie and Nikki) take on the New Hart Foundation (Tamina Snuka and Nattie Neidhart).   Tamina and Nattie destroyed the Bellas and practically wiped the mat with them.  Tamina scores the win after nailing Nikki with a Samoan Drop in 21 min.  This win makes them look more favorable for a future shot at the Women’s tag team titles.

In the back, Adam Rose runs into the A-Team (Alberto Del Rio, Antonio Cesaro and Adrian Neville).  Rose says now that he got rid of that dead weight (Abyss), he feels he should be part of the A-Team.  Del Rio says that Rose has to prove his worthiness and can take on Adrian Neville in a match later today.  Rose seems happy and leaves.  As the A-Team departs, a shadow moves along the back wall.  Creepy.

We go to the next match which has Varsity Club member Bo Dallas challenging the Intercontinental Champion Magnum Kone for the title.  Before the match could begin, Dallas called Magnum the “Ice Cream” champion and laughed at him.  After the match began, the champ was all business.  The champ held the lead for the entire match but it was a lot closer than anyone expected.  Magnum ends up hitting Bo with the Popsicle (piledriver) and makes the cover for the 1-2-3.  Magnum retains his title.  (13 min)

Back to the interview area, the NEW US Champion Dr. Red Fang calls Phat Sol a loser for losing the title so fast.  Fang tells his cameraman (what?  He has a personal one now?) to close up on his face.  “It doesn’t matter who, what, when or where…anyone who tries to take MY title will feel my wrath.  Believe that Blood Bags!”  Fang snarls as the camera goes dark.

We go back to the ring again for another women’s match.  Naomi vs Alexa Bliss is now.  Alexa was KILLING Naomi.  Naomi couldn’t get much more than a handful of wrestling moves together.  Bliss really looked like a superstar.  After reversing a DDT, she turned it into an armdrag and then locked her up in a reverse cradle to score the pin.  Bliss gets the win and celebrates with the fans as Naomi leaves.  (20 min)

Ronda Rousey is HERE!  Ronda makes her way to GM Max McGillicutty’s office and says she needs to be prepared for her match against Stephanie.  Max sets up a match for tonight against Eva Marie.  Ronda says she’ll go get ready now.  Max says she will have the Main Event spot tonight.

We go back to the ring for our next match.  Adam Rose vs the A-Team’s Adrian Neville.  Neville owned the match and about 6 minutes in, Abyss made his way out.  Rose freaked out and tried to run away.  After almost getting counted out, Rose slides back in the ring only to eat a Back Heel Kick from Neville.  Adrian makes the cover and gets the 3 count.  (7 min)  After the match, Abyss gets in the ring and nails Adam Rose with a Black Hole Slam.  He starts at him for a moment before leaving.

In the back, Reid Rothchild challenges Ethan Carter III for his spot at the Elitist Title.  Carter has to accept so I’m sure he’ll have an answer for us next show.

Elsewhere backstage, reporter Larry Morton is talking to King CJ .  His Royalness announces his decision to cash in his title shot at Wrestlemania and he will challenge Bray Wyatt for the HWF World title.  King CJ says that his time is now and he will be victorious for the people.

It’s time for the Main Event.  First, GM Max McGillicutty comes out to announce the participants.  He first introduces Eva Marie who is booed only because of who her opponent is.  Max then says “It is my honor to introduce her opponent…making her debut in the CSWA and HWF…Rowdy Ronda Rousey!”  The crowd was on its feet.  I haven’t heard a crowd this loud in quite some time.  Ronda makes her way to the ring, dances around a bit and then offers her hand to Eva Marie who swats it away.  This was nothing short of an annihilation.  Ronda decimated Eva Marie and kept her grounded as she pounded away.  Ronda looked very impressive and then upon locking in her patented armbar, Eva had no choice but to tap out.  Ronda gets the win in her first match.  The mood turns after Stephanie McMahon, who was hiding in the crowd, jumped in the ring and attacked Ronda beating her down.  Stephanie then nailed Ronda with a move from her husband’s bag of tricks – the Pedigree.  Ronda is down.  Stephanie is standing over her laughing as the show comes to an end.
