HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2016 #535

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  2017 is moving full steam ahead and we begin today’s show with a pre-taped promo from the Hashtag himself, King CJ.

“Wow 2016 what a year ....apocalypse what an event....backstabbers and haircuts, legends and up and comers but you see the king is not living in the past ...hes only looking towards the future...and he has his sights set on you sir.....thats right the hashtag vs the Muppet mister masked mistress im talking to you.... looks like youve had a pretty big year....you beat texas' best in texas wildfire, former champ the fiend (a belt I know all too well) , hell youve even ripped of a dead rowdy roddy piper!!!! Bravo to you sir...but you see once again the king is not impressed!!! So mr hardcore champion, youve talked a big game....but now it is time to put up or shut up!!! So what is it that im purposing??? How about a ‘best of 3’ series of matches...thats right 3 different matches, a match of my choice a match of your choice...and of course because he runs the company a match of maxs' choice with a 1st chance stipulation...which means when i whip your ass you cannot challenge me as a hardcore champion ever...and vice versa....so what do you say max....mg??? Put up or keep your big mouth shut....KING CJ out!” (drops the mic)

Our first match is to complete the top 12 for the Ladies title.  11 spots have been filled with 6 Ladies vying for the last spot.  Drawing byes were Queen Beckett and the Duchess.  Madame Jade, Scarlett Phoenix, the British Crippler and Sarona Reiher all were double eliminations.   That basically left the Duchess taking on Queen Beckett.  Beckett controlled the match until the Duchess locked her in the All Hail Her Majesty but the Queen wouldn’t tap out.   Starr Vixen came down to scout the match.  Queen Beckett nailed the Ram-Paige and was setting the Duchess up for the Her Majesty’s smash but Starr tripped her at the ropes.  Beckett stumbled in the ring and the Duchess nailed her with a superkick.  She made the cover and got the 1-2-3.  The Duchess takes the final spot.  Starr leaves without further incident.  (30 min total)

Backstage, the Steel Curtain’s Buzz Steel confronts Max about taking away his world title shot and Max reminds Buzz that HE is the one who makes matches around here and will do what he feels is best for business.  Having Rad Gumbo go for the world title is better for business than Buzz going for it (even though Buzz is a one time world champion).  Buzz storms out of the office.

We head to the ring for our next match which has the debut of another new wrestler.  A masked man comes out carrying what appears to be a hangman’s noose.  He is introduced as Hangman #3 (not sure what happened to 1 & 2 but oh well).  His opponent hailing from the west coast is Jesse California.  Jesse was owning the match until he got dumped on the outside.  Hangman #3 ran him into the steel steps and rolled back in just before the 10 count was reached.  Hangman #3 gets the win via countout.  Hangman #3 turned and put something in his mask.  Jesse got in the ring and Hangman #3 nailed a headbutt on Jesse busting him open.  Hangman #3 then got his noose and wrapped it around Jesse’s throat.  Jesse was then thrown over the top rope and it looked like the Hangman was really trying to hang Jesse.  A bunch of refs ran out and were able to help Jesse out but he was in need of medical attention.  Jesse was taken to the back on a stretcher while Hangman #3 flaunted his evil doings in the ring much to the dismay of the fans.  (9 min for the match; 15 for the segment)

Backstage, the Masked Gentleman and Miss Samantha were roaming around and they ran into GM Max McGillicutty.  Max says he’s glad that he ran into MG (MG at this point has not seen the promo from King CJ) and says he’s finally in the main event tonight. MG says “Finally” but Max tells him his Hardcore title is on the line. MG tries to throw a fit but Max walks off.  MG storms into his dressing room and Miss Samantha follows.

We go back to the ring for our next match.  First, the Fiend makes his way down to music from the Misfits.  The fans give him a warm reception.  His opponent Angry Jack Lawson powerwalks to the ring, gets in and immediately goes after the Fiend.  That immediate attack was about all Angry Jack had in him as the Fiend went to town right away and beat the snot out of him.  Every time the Fiend went for a pin or submission, Jack somehow found his way to the ropes to break the count.  Just when it appeared Jack’s luck was going to run out, the bell rang bringing this one to a draw.  Jack immediately got out of there and went to the back.   A disappointed Fiend remained at ringside for a few moments with his Misfit fans and then eventually left.  (20 min draw)

Back in the interview area, Buzz and Starbuck Steel say that Max must have gotten it wrong as they have a win under their belts after they annihilated P&L.  Since Max won’t give them the #1 spot, tonight, they challenge the team who has it – the Desperados.

Next on the card is a ladies match.  Scarlett Phoenix comes out to a good pop.  Her opponent, Southern Belle makes her way out and she is booed. She flips off the fans without caring what they think.  For 9 minutes, Belle dominated the match but after Scarlett caught her with the Black Widow, things began to go her way and Belle panicked.  Scarlett would get 2 pin attempts but Belle would kick out each time.  Finally, in a desperation move, Belle hit Scarlett with a vicious eye rake blinding her.  She then immediately rolled Scarlett up and with her feet on the ropes, she got the 1-2-3. Southern Belle gets the win and the fans practically riot.  She doesn’t care and laughs as she leaves the ring.  Scarlett tried to reason with the ref but it was just too late.  (19 min)

Backstage, Phat Sol learns he is getting the title match against the Masked Gentleman and he’s happy however once he learns his manager can’t assist him, his mood changes.  Miss Samantha interrupts his promo and asks to speak with the Ambassador off camera.  Phat looks confused as both managers go off to talk.

It’s time for tag team action.  First, the Steel Curtain (Buzz and Starbuck Steel) make their way down to the ring.  Next, their opponents the Desperados (El Chango & Leon Teremoto) make their way out to defend their spot as #1 contender for the tag team titles.  It is announced that there will be a special guest referee for this match and out comes former World champion the Stache.  Stache’s pop rivaled that of the Steel Curtain.
The Desperados looked great in this outing going toe to toe with the former champs.  This frustrated the Curtain as they couldn’t seem to hold the advantage.  About 16 minutes in, Buzz hit Leon Teremoto with the Buzz Cut and Leon rolled out of the ring and landed on his head injuring himself.  Even without his partner, El Chango held the lead for his team.  El Chango and the Stache faced off a few times but no blows were thrown.  El Chango held on until the bell rang at the 20 minute mark bringing this one to a time limit draw.  The Steel Curtain were pissed off the time limit was dropped from 30 to 20 minutes as they could have easily won this one had they had more time.  Frustrated, they left to the back.  Leon was helped up and eventually after a cursory checkup, was deemed ok and he and El Chango left with their spot intact.  (20 min)

Backstage, the Masked Gentleman asks Miss Samantha:  “Is it done?”  She replies with “Yes” and then he takes her arm and as they start to make their way to the ring for their match, they are stopped by Clarkus Kentus who asks MG what he thinks about everyone seemingly wanting a piece of him especially former US Champion Super Shockmaster. He sets up a ticker tape machine and says “Tell him to take a number and get in line.”  He and Miss Samantha then head to the ring for their match.

It’s time for the Main Event.  The challenger, Phat Sol, makes his way to the ring first.  The music changes and out comes the Hardcore Champion the Masked Gentleman with Miss Samantha.  While the curtains are still open, we see the Ambassador standing off to the side counting a giant wad of bills.  Once MG gets in the ring, he is asked what sort of rules he wants and says “Boot Camp”.  Phat, right out of the gate, nailed the Phat-Phat and almost got a 3 count.  That set the pace for the next 15 minutes.  Phat held the lead and went for multiple pin attempts but MG wouldn’t stay down.  After the 15 min mark, MG tried for a superplex but Phat reversed it and went for the Phat-Phat but MG reversed that and hit a piledriver.  That turned the tide in MG’s favor.  He looked to Miss Samantha who pleasantly smiled at him and then he just DESTROYED Phat for the next 10 minutes.  Finally, MG grabbed a military boot and smashed Phat with it.  He made the cover and got the 1-2-3.  (25 min) The Masked Gentleman is victorious in his first title defense of 2017.  He and Miss Samantha showboated in the ring as the show came to an end.

After the camera stopped rolling (and Phat Sol made his way to the back), MG got on the mic “Hey #HagRag…this is how you do it.  Texas Wildfire…enjoy your title because as soon as I’m ready, it will be mine.  AND as for supposedly Super ShockMaster....LOL...where would I even begin with that half-wit......MG is not worried about someone who cannot break through a wall without falling, so he is the least of my worries.  The CHAMP is out!”  He and Miss Samantha pose as the cameras turn off.
