Tonight’s
show takes place in Oakland, CA.
*The
Omegatron lights up and says “The Road to Wrestlemania Begins Tonight.” Pop from the crowd.
Our
show begins with Buff Austin coming out to complain about losing the IC
title. He then is reminded he is the #1
contender for the X-Division title and he calls Kane out for his match.
Kane
defends the X-Division title against Buff Austin. Buff must have had a lot of pent up anger in
him as he was beating down the Big Red Machine.
For 12 minutes, Buff blasted Kane with everything he had. In a desperate move, Kane caught Buff coming
off the ropes and hit a Chokeslam from Hell. He made the cover and got the
1-2-3 (just barely). Kane retains his
title. Buff Austin leaves with his head
hanging low. (13 min)
Daniel
Bryan makes his way out and calls out Alexander Rusev. Bryan calls Rusev a coward for attacking him
after he had a brutal match against the Big Show. Rusev shows up on the Omegatron and says he
has a letter to read from Russian President Vladimir Putin. ‘Mr. Rusev, I commend you on your dedication
to the Motherland and we know you have much potential. I hereby absolve you from any past deeds you
may have done that made our Country look unfavorable. The slate is wiped clean and we have a
renewed faith and trust that you will respect and honor us in the way a true
patriot would. Signed President Vladimir
Putin.’ “So you see Daniel Brian, you are an American dog who needs to be put
down and that process will start with ME, Alexander Rusev destroying everything
you hold dear.” Daniel yells for Rusev
to come down and in from the crowd runs Rusev.
He attacks Daniel Bryan and beats him down. Bryan battles back and goes for the Yes lock
but Rusev reverses it and hits the Accolade.
Rusev pulls out the Russian flag and makes like he’s going to lay it on
Brian but waves his finger no and ends up taking out an Oakland Raiders flag
and lays that on Brian instead. The fans
go BALLISTIC! Fans actually begin
throwing stuff at him in the ring and fearing he may have gone too far, he
bolts and runs (and I mean runs) to the back.
GM
Hulk Hogan comes out and tries to get the fans to cool down. It actually took 5
minutes to get the crowd down from Defcon 1.
Kenta,
Sanada & Tajiri vs Prestige Inc. for their title spot is up next. In 18 minutes, Sanada gets the win for his
team after hitting Reid with a Tiger Suplex and had hooked the trunks for extra
leverage. Reid tried to confront Sanada
but he just walked away.
Dolph
Ziggler comes out and says he still has not forgotten about Cena and wants him
in a match. Cena shows up but declines
singles competition but will accept a tag match. Ziggler agrees but says tonight is not about
him but about these two guys – Kalisto and Solomon Crowe. Ziggler watches from ringside.
John
Cena and the Caped Crusader vs. Kalisto and Solomon Crowe. The two newcomers were definitely taking the
match to Team Me. About 9 minutes in,
Ziggler got tired of Cena’s illegal actions and attacked him on the outside of
the ring hitting the Zig Zag. The ref
saw this and disqualified Kalisto and Crowe for outside interference. The Caped Crusader fought Ziggler off long
enough to get Cena out of there. (9 min)
HWF
GM Master Bull comes out and says that if Ziggler really wants action tonight,
he can take on the HWF World Heavyweight Champion Bray Wyatt.
We
go to the back and see ‘The American Dream’ Dusty Rhodes walking in from
outside. A reported rushes up to him to
ask why he’s here and Dusty says that he needs to talk to his two boys.
MVP
comes out saying he’s the #1 contender for the CSWA World title. His is interrupted by Kurt Angle who
challenges him for his spot. For 16
minutes, Angle went toe to toe with MVP.
At that point, the CSWA World Champion MW3 came out and stood on the
ramp. Angle finally noticed him and ended
up eating a playmaker from MVP. MVP ends
up reversing a belly to belly Suplex from Angle and hits a Belly to Back Suplex
and pins Kurt after the 1-2-3 count. MVP
retains his spot. MVP says he wants his
match next show. MW3 agrees. (19 min)
Goldust
and Stardust are shown waiting in the locker room, and Goldust says he doesn’t
want to go there, then Dusty Rhodes walks in. He says their family has been
going through some tough times, and Dustin has been trying to get through to
Cody, and none of this galaxy stuff matters. He says whatever happens, they
have a bond, then he asks them to stand together and Dustin and Cody shake
hands but Stardust hits the Dark Matter and leaves Goldust laying on the
floor. Dusty yells at Stardust and Cody
turns and hits his father with the bionic elbow. Dusty falls to the floor and lays next to
Goldust. Stardust yells “CODY IS DEAD. There is ONLY Stardust.” He then walks off.
The
Jones Boys come out to explain why they interfered. #CaseyJ says he doesn’t want part timers
running the roost. #ConanJ adds that he
still has a bone to pick with MW3 and, by association, Donnie B. #ConanJ says they will turn the HWF/CSWA into
their “killzone”.
We
head back to the ring for singles action.
American Wolves member Eddie Edwards vs Beer Money’s James Storm is
next. This one goes 18 minutes and sees
Edwards duck a superkick from Storm and then hits him with one of his own. He rolls him up and gets the 1-2-3. Bobby Roode runs out but Edwards gets out of
the ring in time. GM Hulk Hogan comes
out and says that since Roode is in the ring, he gets his match next against
Davey Richards.
Davey
Richards vs Bobby Roode. This one goes
13 minutes and without Storm out there to back him up, Roode gets schooled by
Richards. Davey hits Bobby with a German
Suplex and hooks the leg for the 1-2-3.
Eddie Edwards runs down and they hit Roode with the Force of Nature (a
powerbomb/double knee backbreaker combination) and leave him beaten in the
ring. Richards gets a mic and says this
doesn’t begin to settle things between them and they still want Beer Money in
tag team action.
AJ
Lee comes out and calls down Paige.
Paige skips her way down to the ring.
AJ wants to know why she seems to have a problem with her. Paige says she just wants to make a name for
herself and what better way than to BEAT a former Women’s Champion. Paige attacks her and refs come out to
separate them. GM Hulk Hogan comes back
out and makes this a match right now. In
15 minutes, AJ hits Paige with the Shining Wizard and gets the win. After the match, Paige crawls to the corner
and starts to cry. AJ, feeling moved by
this, goes over. Paige kicks AJ’s legs
out from underneath her and AJ’s face crashes into a turnbuckle. Paige then locks an unconscious AJ in the PTO
(Paige Tap Out) but for obvious reasons, AJ can’t tap. Paige lets her go and then leaves the
ring. AJ is helped up and out of the
ring. She looks to be sporting a shiner
now.
Next
up is our next title match with Bobby Lashley defending the US title against
Christopher Daniels. Daniels gets the
first fall in 11 minutes after hitting Lashley with an Enzuigiri. Bobby battles back and ends up scoring the
second fall after blinding Daniels with an eye rake and a roll up for the 3 in
13 min. With the third fall, for 25 minutes, Bobby dominated the Fallen Angel
but just couldn’t score the pin. Right
after the 25 minute mark, Daniels, playing possum, hits the Angels Wings on
Lashley. He makes the cover and gets the
1-2-3. Christopher Daniels has just won the
US Title. After the match, both AJ
Styles and Samoa Joe come out to congratulate the new champ but then it turns
into a melee when both AJ and Joe attacked the new champ and then each other. What a cluster****. (49 min total)
It
is time for the MAIN EVENT. HWF World
Champion Bray Wyatt is defending the title against Dolph Ziggler. This one will have Brawl Games rules. This one has a no DQ stipulation which put
Dolph right on the losing end as John Cena came out and blasted him numerous
times with a steel chair while Bray looked on.
John finally leaves. Bray picked
up a baseball bat and blasted Dolph across the back with it. Dolph connects with a weak Zig Zag but can’t
capitalize on it. Bray hits him again
with the bat across the back. He goes for a pin but Dolph kicks out at
two. Bray takes the badtand bashes Dolph
in the ribs and then hits Sister Abigail.
Bray makes the cover but somehow Dolph gets his foot on the ropes. Bray storms off and sits in the corner
contemplating his next move. This gives
Dolph a little time to recover and he hits the Zig Zag again but only for a 1
count. Bray pulls Dolph outside the ring
and whips him hard into the ringpost and it looks like his head bounced off the
post. Dolph looks to be
unconscious. Bray drags him back in the
ring and gets the 3 count and then stands back to see if Dolph can answer the
10 count. The ref gets all the way to 10
with Dolph barely moving and awards the match to Bray via KO. Bray Wyatt retains his title. (8 min).
After the match, Cena runs down and hits Dolph with the F-U. Cena then looks at Bray and says he is next
in line for a shot. Bray starts to laugh
uncontrollably as the show comes to an end.
After
the show ended, Christopher Daniels comes back out and calls out Samoa Joe. Joe gets on a mic and says he’s decided to
take a break from wrestling and says he’s resigning. We wish him all the best
in his future endeavors. AJ Styles comes
out and the 3 actually break storyline and shake hands and embrace. Kurt Angle comes out and tells the fans in
attendance that Joe is an uncrowned champion and expects him to snag the #1
belt wherever he ends up.
Thanks
for reading. Stay tuned for more action.
