HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2015 – 02.02

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.   When the Phoenix show came to an end, an exhausted Ascension and MJ looked up to see two guys blocking their way.  The show ended before we got to see who that was.  It turns out that it was the World Tag Team Champions ‘The Original Big Daddy’ Donnie B and CSWA World Heavyweight Champion MW3.  There was no altercation between the teams.  The Ascension just kept moving as the champs looked on.

Our show starts off with a title match.  The challenger, Kane, comes out first and is followed by the X-Division Champion Tyler Breeze.  GM Master Bull comes out and makes this a best of 3 falls match.  Kane wastes no time and just under 3 minutes, he hits a clothesline from the top rope and gets the first fall.  The match continues and is dominated by Kane.  This time it goes 10 more minutes and after hitting another clothesline from the top rope, Kane make the cover and gets the 1-2-3 and becomes the NEW X-Division CHAMPION. (13 min)

We cut to the back where CSWA GM Hulk Hogan addresses Kurt Angle’s request.  Hogan says that eventually, Angle will see a rematch but that time is not now.  What he will do, however, is give Angle a non-title shot at MW3.  If Angle wins, then he will go one on one against Brock Lesnar to see who gets the Undisputed title shot against Bray Wyatt.  Brock and Bray will have a contract signing later today for the HWF World title match.

We go back to the ring and it is Gail Kim taking on Natalya Neidhart.  This is for Gail’s ranking spot for the Diva’s title.  Gail was controlling the match until at the 10 minutes mark, Natalya caught her flying off the ropes and nailed a devastating powerslam.  She then locked her in the sharpshooter and she got Gail to tap out.  Natalya moves up the rankings and Gail moves down. (10 ½ min)

We head to the back and are treated to a promo from the Scorpion Warrior (aka Sting).  Scorpion Warrior talks about how, back in the day, he was a tag team partner of one Blade Runner Rock but most of wrestling remembers him as the Ultimate Warrior.  He feels that the Super Warrior and Warrior of Truth are honoring the Ultimate Warrior’s legacy and he is proud to be teaming with them.  He is looking forward to their match against the A-Team for the 6 Man titles and then, eventually, taking on the Ascension and their demonic partner (who just happens to be the new X-Division Champ) Kane.

We go back to the ring where Alexander Rusev is standing. He says that he got a call from Russian President Putin and he is being given another chance.  Rusev says he will remain in the ring until someone comes out to fight him.  Music hits and out comes Daniel Bryan.  Bryan says he will accept Rusev’s challenge.  GM Hulk Hogan comes out and makes the match official.  Daniel was taking the big Russian to school until Rusev caught Daniel with a big foot to the face.  Rusev then dropped a knee to Bryan’s windpipe and he rolled him up (with a handful of tights) for the 1-2-3.  Rusev gets the Russian flag and waves it in the ring before leaving. (10 min)

The A-Team is in force in the back and they come upon the Warriors.  Austin Aries says that there is no way the Warriors will win the titles.  Scorpion Warrior steps up and says that it is big talk from a small man.  Aries throws out a challenge that the Warriors and A-team should meet in singles matches.  The Warriors accept but Master Bull walks in.  Bull says that this will not be happening tonight as the card is already full but next week, the A-team and the Warriors will all meet in singles competition.

Our next contenders match is up next with Ryback taking on Abyss with the winner getting the next title shot at the North American Champion Big Show.  This was another short match and Ryback was on fire as it only took 7 minutes to hit a marching cradle Suplex and pin Abyss in the middle of the ring.  Ryback moves up and is now the #1 contender.  Big Show makes his way out and stands on the ramp.  Ryback motions that he will be the next champion and the two have a stare down.

We are ready for the next match which has Spider Violet taking on Brie Bella.  This is for the vacant #10 spot for the Diva’s title.  In 15 minutes, Violet hits a diving knee drop and makes the cover to get the win.

In the back, Kurt Angle says he’s bringing the 3 I’s to tonight’s match against MW3 – Intensity, Intelligence and Integrity.  May the best man win.

We go to the ring where Angle comes out first and is followed by the CSWA World Champion MW3 in this non-title match.  In a quick 9 minute match, Angle gets the win after hitting an Olympic leg sweep.  GM Hulk Hogan comes out and says that Kurt gets a match against Brock Lesnar to see who will be meeting Bray Wyatt for the Undisputed Heavyweight title.   However, in order for this to happen, one of them need to be a World Champion.  This leaves MW3 free to defend the tag team titles with Donnie B.

Master Bull makes his way out and gets a table set up in the ring.  He invites out first the challenger – the Beast Incarnate – Brock Lesnar.  Once Brock is in the ring, Bull invites Bray Wyatt.  Lesnar just glares at Bray and Bray starts to laugh.  This seems to infuriate Lesnar.  He quickly signs but Bray takes his time.  Bray continues to laugh at Brock.  Bray finally signs the contract and Brock attacks him but Bray battles back and hits Sister Abigail on Brock.  Lesnar goes down but recovers pretty fast.  He has a stunned look on his face.  He can’t believe Bray is still standing.  Brock stands up and then leaves the ring much to the surprise of everyone in the audience.  Brock scrunches his face and wonders what Brock is up to.

It is time for the main event which has Dolph Ziggler taking on John Cena.  Ziggler was OWNING Cena for the entire match.  John was not looking good.   John begins to make a comeback but Dolph just shuts him down.  Dolph nails the Zig Zag and goes for the cover…1…2…KICKOUT.  Wow, Cena kicked out in pretty aggressive fashion.  Dolph connects with a fireman’s carry but John hits the F-U.  He makes the cover and (wait, did he just grab the tights?) gets the 1-2-3.  Cena gets the win.  Dolph ends up getting up and asks John what is going on.  Cena begins to walk away but Dolph grabs his arm.  Cena pulls away in anger and pushes Dolph away.  Zigger gets into John’s face and Cena blasts Dolph much to the surprise of anyone.  Cena looks at what he did and he walks away.

That is all for the show.  Stay tuned for more action.
