HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2016 #538

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  The show kicks off with MG’s Pit being set up in the ring.  I guess that is our first segment of the show.  The Masked Gentleman and Miss Samantha make their way down to the ring.  Miss Samantha gets on the mic and says that the HARDcore champion is going to show the fans what a pathetic pile of manure King CJ is.  She hands the mic to MG who says his special guest for the evening just so happens to be a “female grade school teacher” of King CJ.  The teacher makes her way down to the ring and man…is she a looker!  Miss Samantha holds the ropes for her as she gets into the ring.
MG asks what this teacher has brought him and she says that back in grammar school when CJ was just a kid, he wrote a paper about what he wanted to be when he grew up.  MG took the paper and while reading it aloud, had the camera hover over it so they could see the writing.

“What  want o be when I gro up: Wen I gro up I wan to be Keeng. I wan to drool the wurld in my Kassel, and I wan to ride the hoors's ( i am sure he meant horses, but unsure ) I wan to cummandd peeple and act coo...I am Keeng CJ.”

MG shook his head.  “Such a touching little homework assignment from a no talent loser.  King CJ better keep his family away from ringside or I might turn to one of them, just like TW's Dad, and rip off an arm or a leg if need be!”  MG had a good laugh as the teacher left the ring.  Miss Samantha and the teacher exchange looks and smile at each other.  Eventually the booing from the crowd forced MG and Miss Samantha to leave.

GM Max McGillicutty is in his office and says that the show will be a showstopper tonight.  “We will have two different titles on the line tonight.  TV champion ScooterJ will defend his title against the Super Shockmaster and Tag Team Champs Magnum Kone and Pete the PUN-isher will defend their belts against El Chango and Leon Teremoto – the Desperados.  There is also a lot more on the card so let’s get the show underway.”

Match #1:  5th Column member Wendell Hammerschmidt with his manager Ant Graham make their way down to the ring first.  He is booed pretty heavily.  Next, his opponent Travis ‘Dark Storm’ Ryzing makes his way down and gets a so-so reaction.  The match starts and Dark Storm is controlling the match.  Ant Graham walks back and forth outside of the ring and just appears bored.  On quite a few occasions, Wendell tried to get Ant to get involved and he just distanced himself…no reason why.  Travis went on an offensive flurry and after his 3rd pin attempt, Ant finally decided to do something.  He climbed on the apron and looked like he was going to give Wendell something but Travis dropkicked Wendell and he flew into the corner crashing into his manager sending Ant to the floor.   Dark Storm hit an arm drag and twist and then nailed the Dark Storm Ryzing and he made the cover to get the 1-2-3.  Dark Storm gets the win and moves up in the US title rankings.  (16 min)  After the match, Wendell had words for his manager and started to get physical with him.  Graham called out the other members of the 5th Column Baron von Blood, Karl Braun and Oswald Zimmerman and they came to Graham’s beck and call.  Graham called Wendell a weak link and fired him from the 5th Column.  Wendell went after Graham but the 5th Column beat him down until Ivan Dragovich ran down and cleared house.  Dragovich helped Wendell to his feet and they stared at the 6 man champs as the 5th Column and their manager made their way backstage.  (8 min for the segment)

Backstage, TV champion ScooterJ says that he embarrassed Reid Rothchild so bad that he had to pull out the tinfoil and cardboard to make himself a belt – one he may actually have a chance of holding on to.  Tonight, he takes on the Super Shockmaster.  He comments that SS lost the US belt on his first title defense and says tonight will be no different after SS is sent home with his tail tucked between his legs.  ScooterJ warns the rest of the roster (I’m sure it’s directed to MG) to keep their noses out of his match.

Match #2:  Lexy Flexx makes her way down to the ring to a good pop from the crowd.  Her opponent this evening is the ‘other’ ravishing one – Ruby Princess.  Ruby makes her way down and the fans snicker and chide at her.  She doesn’t care for it one bit.  This match will be for Lexy’s spot in the Ladies top 10.  Lexy started off with the Dis-Arm-Her-Fujiwara armbar and Ruby countered with her own armbar.  Her’s must have been better because after that, Ruby took control of the match.  Lexy would hit Ruby with a Bex-Plex off the ropes for a 2 count but could not keep her down.  The match went on for 19 minutes and Lexy was ready to lock in her signature armbar again but Ruby instead hit the ‘Ruby’s Simply Ravishing’ and made the cover to get the 1-2-3.  Ruby gets the win with a minute on the clock left to spare.  Lexy extends her hand but Ruby refuses to shake it.  (19 min).  Ruby gets on the mic and announces she is challenging the Ladies Champion Kimberly Kiccass to a match for the title.  She then leaves.

Backstage, Ivan Dragovich explains why he came to Wendell’s aid.  “I too had been a member of their team but they turned on me like they did you.  We can team up and take the fight to them.”  Wendell agreed and the two shook hands.  It looks like we have a new tag team.

Manager MJ comes out and introduces ‘the Ragin Cajun’ Rad Gumbo.  Gumbo makes it to the ring and says he’s going to call out and challenge someone for their spot.  Rad says that the biggest threat to him getting a shot at the World title is none other than the Stache.  Rad tells the Stache he wants his spot and he’d better get down to the ring for an ass-whippin.  The Stache comes out and accepts the match.  He heads down and we have our next match.

Match #3:  The Stache vs the Ragin Cajun Rad Gumbo.  The two started off strong but for 6 minutes, Gumbo controlled the match because of MJ’s interference.  At the 7 minute mark, the Stache turned his attention to MJ and promptly took him out of the equation for the rest of the match.  After that, the Stache destroyed Gumbo.  To Rad’s credit, he took everything the Stache could throw at him and hold his own.  The Stache locked in the Handlebar (camel clutch) twice but Rad wouldn’t tap.  Finally, the time limit was getting ready to expire and Rad exited the ring to go check on his manager.  Just as the ref was getting to the count of 4, the bell rang bringing this one to a draw.  Rad helped his manager to the back without ever going back into the ring.  Gumbo and Stache both retain their spots.  (20 min draw)

The Desperados (El Chango and Leon Teremoto) are backstage and El Chango comments that finally, they get what they rightly deserve – a shot at the tag team titles.  El Chango comments that its been too long since they held the belts and tonight, they will take the belts and reign as the top team in HCW.  Leon chimes in and says “Polish up those belts boys because tonight, they will have a new home.”

Match #4:  The Axe makes his way out to the ring and says that as a former World Champion, he never got the rematch he was due but is ready to make himself a top contender but one person stands in his way – Sonic Blade.  “Sonic, you are pretty darn good but you are in my way to get MY belt back.  I’m here to challenge you for your spot.”  Sonic Blade comes out and accepts the challenge and our match is ready to go.  Through the first 8 minutes, these two were evenly matched.  However, after Axe tossed Sonic out of the ring, instead of letting him catch his breath, he kept up the offense nailing a belly to belly suplex on the outside of the ring.  Axe made it back in just before the 10 count expecting the match to be over but after being admonished by the ref, he started his count over to give Sonic more time to recover.  He made it back in but Axe kept up the pressure.  Axe hit Sonic with back to back power punches going for the pin each time but Sonic kept kicking out.  Sonic tosses Axe out of the ring but as soon as he re-enters, Sonic catches him with a reverse cradle almost getting a 3 count.  Sonic powered out of a side headlock only to get a knee to the stomach.  Axe then went to the corner and appeared to put something in his elbow pad.  He came back over and nailed Sonic with a vicious uppercut.  He made the cover and got the 1-2-3.  Axe moves up in the rankings and Sonic moves down.  (18 min)

The Tag Team Champions Magnum Kone & Pete the PUN-isher are with their manager the Ambassador.  Magnum says they are surprisingly getting along but Pete tells him he’s delusional.  Pete says that Magnum is being a glory hound.  The Ambassador steps inbetween them both telling them that they need to stop being childish and that they have a championship to defend.  He addresses the Desperados saying that nothing will stop his men from retaining…NOTHING.

Match #5:  The Super Shockmaster makes his way out to the ring and is booed pretty heavily. Next, the TV champion ScooterJ comes out and he’s equally as disliked.  The bell rings pretty quick.   For 10 minutes the champ held the lead but after being on the receiving end of a power headbutt, the Super Shockmaster took over.  SS tossed ScooterJ around like a ragdoll for the next 6 minutes.  The champ got a reprieve after sending SS out of the ring.  SS got back in dropping the champ with clubbing forearms.  He then took ScooterJ to the corner to set up the Galactic Splash but ScooterJ reversed it and pounded on SS with 10 punches.  SS wobbled a bit and ScooterJ could not believe he was still standing.  The ref got ScooterJ out of the corner and in that time, the Masked Gentleman snuck in from the crowd hitting the Super Shockmaster from behind with a (take a ) ticket dispenser.  SS collapsed in the ring and ScooterJ went for the cover.  The ref counted 1-2-3 awarding the match to ScooterJ.  The champ takes his belt and leaves pretty quick.  (16 min)

GM Max McGillicutty is backstage with both tag teams as they get ready for the main event.  He wishes both teams best of luck.  As they walk off, the Steel Curtain (Buzz and Starbuck Steel) walk over and comment how it should be them in this match.  Max tells them to forget it and if they want to get a shot at the champs, their record needs to improve as of right now, they’re not looking so hot. Buzz and Starbuck take the comment in stride and say they’ll work on that.  They then leave with Max looking on with curiosity.

Match #6:  It’s time for the main event.   The Desperados  - El Chango and Leon Teremoto make their way down to the ring.   Next, the Ambassador announces Magnum Kone and Pete the PUN-isher…YOUR World Tag Team Champions and leads them to the ring.  The champs show off their belts but the bell rings.  The Desperados go right on the offensive but Magnum shuts them down pretty quick.  Both Magnum and El Chango tagged out after the first minute and then Leon was double teamed multiple times and wasn’t able to tag out while the champs kept themselves fresh.  The Ambassador went to get involved and accidentally pushed the ref but did not get disqualified.  Leon had been in the ring getting destroyed until he made the hot tag at the 12 minute mark.  El Chango came in to clean house but was bodyslammed right away by Magnum who went for a quick pin but El Chango kicked out.  Magnum dragged El Chango back to his corner and used his hand to tag an exhausted Leon back in.  El Chango then got hurled out of the ring.  Leon was back in and was still pretty beat up but he tried to hold his own but to no avail.   The Steel Curtain then came out and made their way to ringside sitting at commentary.  Pete in the meantime ran to the other side of the ring and nailed a distracted El Chango with the PUN-t to the head.  Pete made his way back around and had a few words for the former champs while Magnum destroyed Leon.  Finally, the Ambassador’s other team P&L (Phat Sol and Red Hot Lucas Johnston) came out to prevent the Steel Curtain from further interference.  Magnum hurled Leon out of the ring and with no one to save him, he got counted out.   On the other side of the ring, tempers were flaring between P&L and the Steel Curtain.  The two teams came to blows but were separated by the ref and the Ambassador.  Pete and Magnum retained their titles via countout.   (16 ½ min)  While the ref held the Steel Curtain back, the Ambassador escorted his two teams to the back.  With that, the show comes to an end.

Stay tuned as things are really heating up between P&L and the Steel Curtain and this really can only end one way.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2016 #537

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  We have a full show tonight with Super Shockmaster trying to make his way up the US title ladder; a visit from TV Champ ScooterJ and a main event headlined by Ladies Champion Ravishing Raquel defending her title against #1 contender Kimberly Kiccass.  We head to the ring for our first match.

Match 1:  Jerry Saunders vs. Superquake Ferguson.  Both men came out to a very luke warm reaction which is not the way we want our show to begin but as soon as both men got started, the crowd heated up quickly.  For 13 minutes Saunders had Superquake’s number but it wasn’t until he (stupidly) tried to bodyslam the big man (Ferguson fell on top and almost got a 3 count) that the tide turned.  Superquake hit the Cutting Edge but wasn’t able to keep Saunders down.  Finally, Superquake called for a chokeslam just before the bell rang bringing this one to a time limit draw.  Saunders took off from the ring to booing from the fans while Superquake was actually cheered as he departed. (20 min draw)

King CJ is backstage and it appears he has words for his future opponent the Masked Gentleman.   King CJ accuses MG of stealing other wrestlers gimmicks (at the end of the last show, MG was doing the Hogan pose).  “…who do you think you are anyway…the Elitist Reid Rothchild?  You know he is the only one who can steal someone elses moves…if anyone would steal anything, it would be Reid.” But then King CJ looks sternly at the camera and asks “But WHATCHA GONNA DO ABOUT IT…BROTHER?”  King CJ drops the mic and walks off.

Match #2:  We are ready for a tag team match.  First, Ferb and Butch Huber comes out and are booed by the fans.  Their opponents Outback Oscar and the Crocodile Hunter come out and the Aussies get a very loud pop.  The Hubers don’t like that so they attack Oscar and Croc before the bell but the Aussies dispose of them pretty quick.  The match finally begins and Oscar and Croc hold an advantage until their ‘brother’ Mountain Man Junior Huber came out and caused a distraction letting his brothers wreak havoc.  Finally after beating on Croc, he got hurled out of the ring.  Junior was waiting for him.  He then nailed Croc with the Mountain Man Cutter on the floor and Croc was out.  Junior then took out Oscar.  The Hubers let the ref finally begin to count and in no time, reached 10 and counted Croc down and out.  The Hubers get the win via countout.  Junior joins them in the ring and the trio celebrate to the booing from the crowd.  (14 min)

We cut to the back again and this time are standing outside of the Masked Gentleman’s dressing room.  MG emerges.  MG walks over to the camera and stands along Miss Samantha in front of it. "I MG have been accused of using other wrestlers gimmicks. I do NOT Use other wrestler gimmicks. I want to point that out right now....Now with that being said, I heard that there are a lot of wrestlers who want a piece of me. LOL, Get in line chumps. I will run you over one by one. And in fact I just might Make a List...a List of MG. This way I can get a List of Morons I will defeat.  Miss Samantha, get me a list!  Texas Wildfire…you AND your old man are on this list…Queen Hatfullofcrap…you’re there too…” Miss Samantha leaves the shot to do as MG requests. "Now Super S*** Kicker....errr....SpeedSticker....errr..Shape Shifter...;whomever, you are after King Re-Ject, so wait your turn. And again I DO NOT Use other wrestlers gimmicks!”  MG heads back to his dressing room.

Match #3:  Back to the ring for more action.   The Duchess makes her way out first and she is then followed out by Missy Chick.  As Missy closes in, the Duchess hits her with a sucker punch.  Missy is holding her jaw.  The Duchess then locks in the “All Hail Her Majesty” and Missy ends up tapping out.  The Duchess gets the submission win in really quick time.  She turns to the camera and says she is challenging whomever leaves tonight with the Ladies title.  It will not be long for her to regain what was taken from her. (2 min)

Backstage, GM Max McGillicutty is in his office and it occurs to him how quiet it is.  He is pleased with the announcement he made last week and no one is stirring up trouble.  He says that after thinking hard on it, MG vs King CJ is best for business and loves the idea of the best of 3 between the two.  King CJ gets his Lumberjack Strap match and then the Masked Gentleman gets his steel cage.   He says that if it does indeed go to 3 matches, he will choose what he feels is best but will not disclose it until the time is right.

Match #4:  Billy Robbins vs Handsome Hernandez.  Billy has been granted the opportunity to wrestle in smaller venues and he’s been tearing it up.  He comes into this match with a bolt of confidence.  For the first 10 minutes, Billy limited Hernandez to only 3 offensive moves.  It was at the 11 minute mark that Hernandez locked in the cross armbreaker but Billy made it to the ropes however the damage was done.  Billy still managed to control the tempo but Hernandez was gaining steam as the time limit was running out.  Hernandez kept trying for the submission victory but Billy kept making it to the ropes.  Finally, time was almost out.  Hernandez hit a double axe handle smash and thinking time was going to run out, he began to showboat.  Billy grabbed him and nailed a slingshot suplex.  Billy hooked the leg and the ref counted to 3 just before the bell rang.  Billy gets the win just in the nick of time.  (19:58)

Backstage, Ladies Champion Ravishing Raquel says that she’s putting the belt on the line against someone not truly worthy of the title but since she’s required to defend it, she will put Kimberly through the paces and make her tap!

Match #5:  TV Champion ScooterJ comes out to scout this match.  The Super Shockmaster comes out first and he calls out Dude USA Mick Rude and challenges him for his spot in the US title lineup.  Mick comes out and immediately accepts.  He rushes to the ring and the Super Shockmaster bails.  Dude USA poses for the fans and doesn’t see the Super Shockmaster come in and attack him as the bell rings.  Mick had the initial control of the match but it didn’t take long for the SS to overwhelm Dude USA.  About 8 minutes in, US Champion Texas Wildfire came out and the pop he got distracted SS.  Dude USA then went on the offensive for a few minutes and ended up shoulderblocking Super Shockmaster right out of the ring.  SS was torn between wanting to confront Texas Wildfire and getting back in the ring.  The ref stopped to send Dude USA back to his corner and then in from the crowd ran the Masked Gentleman and he hit SS with a (take a) ticket dispenser.  It took too long for him to shake it off and he ended up getting counted out.  Wildfire smiled as he walked off.  Super Shockmaster made his way to the back grumbling.  ScooterJ shakes his head at the absurdity of it all and leaves.  (10 ½ min)

Backstage, Super Shockmaster barges into the interview area and demands a mic.  “Masked Gentleman ... the Super ShockMaster doesnt TAKE numbers, and he doesn't need a match to exact his revenge...heheh... but you keep interfering in my match and all in good time, I WILL deal with you.  Before that though, what I WILL take however- is my US title back, that is if the HCW can keep the even less talented Masked Gentleman from meddling!... Perhaps I’ll even do win my belt back after defeating that nobody ScooterJ for the TV title… Wildfire... you'll soon be reduced... to an ember... hahahaaaa

Match #6:  The Main Event.  Challenger Kimberley Kiccass comes out first to an ok pop.  Ladies Champion Ravishing Raquel comes out next and she gets a good pop.   The two ladies waste no time and start right up at the bell.  Raquel controlled the match but Kimberly got lucky and trapped the champ in a dragon sleeper.  She got Raquel to tap out at the 11 minute mark to win the match!  Her celebration was short lived as Max came out and said that this is a best of 3 falls, 60 minute time limit match.  He orders the second fall to begin now.  Kimberly kept up the momentum and 9 minutes later, nailed Raquel with the Christo.  Kimberly made the cover and got the 1-2-3 and is now officially the NEW LADIES CHAMPION!  Raquel grabs the mic and says she wants her immediate rematch right now.  She says if she can defeat Kimberly, she gets her title back.  If she loses, she will no longer challenge for the Ladies title for 6 MONTHS!  Kimberly accepts the match.  Raquel was on fire!  She just tore right into the new champ and Kimberly fought to keep up with her.  This went on for 28 minutes.  Raquel just dropped Kimberly with a hammer shot to the back and turned to catch her breath.  The champ then hit the Christo out of nowhere and made the cover and hooked the leg (and tights) to steal the win.  Kimberly Kiccass is still the Ladies Champion and Raquel cannot challenge for the Ladies title for 6 months.  The former champ leaves the ring with her head held low.  Kimberly celebrates in the ring with her new title as the show comes to an end.

Stay tuned.  More action to come.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2016 #536

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  It looks like GM Max McGillicutty has been keeping himself busy continuing to scout for new talent.  He shows a vignette of two new hires – Otto Ruthless and Mason the Mangler.  They will be debuting tonight in a match against the Tag Team Champions – Pete the PUN-isher and Magnum Kone.  Just so the roster doesn’t get all riled up, it is a non-title match.

Backstage, Steel Curtain member Starbuck Steel meets with GM Max McGillicutty.  Starbuck shows that they had a win before losing the belts which should have granted them an immediate rematch.  Max comments that the Curtain couldn’t even beat the Desperados.  “Yeah, and what was up with that time limit?  Tag teams are supposed to get 30, not 20 minutes”.  Max says time was running out and they had to make a cut somewhere.  Starbuck asks for a singles match tonight and Max immediately grants it against Adam Jameson.  He says that match is up first.

Match #1 begins with Adam Jameson making his way to the ring.  He gets a decent pop from the crowd.  Next, Starbuck Steel makes his way out (minus his partner Buzz) and gets a mixed reaction as the Steel Curtain’s attitude is undergoing some changes.  Starbuck has control for most of the match late on he noticed that the time limit was nearing.  He nailed AJ with the Buck-U and went for the count.  The ref counted 1…2…and then the bell rang.  Buck looked up at the clock and it was only at 19 minutes.  The bell was rung early.  WHAT THE HELL!!!!  The ref looked confused too and the timekeeper said he was told that the clock was a minute slow and that they indeed hit the time limit.  After a bit of arguing, the ref actually got the match restarted.  Buck instantly nailed AJ with the Buck-U again, made the cover and got the 3 count.  Starbuck Steel gets a win but he is not happy about what is going on.  He storms off to the back not even acknowledging the fans.  (19 min)

We cut to a taped promo from King CJ:
“The hashtag couldn’t be happier with how 2016 ended (former World Champ, crowned King) and what better way to kick off 2017 than with all the stars the HCW has to offer....the king demands, for his first match against the Masked Gentleman, a court and what better way to do it than a good old fashion slobber knocking lumberjack strap match!!! Thats right…me...you…strapped together and nowhere to run because ALL of the HCW stars will be surrounding the ring ensuring no one runs out the ring without an ass whooping....show up…if you’ve got the balls….Hashtag OUT!”  (drops the mic)

Next up is our tag match.  First, Otto Ruthless and Mason the Mangler make their way out to the ring to a mixed reaction from the fans.  For Mason, they were playing creepy music.  Next, the Ambassador leads out the Tag Team Champions Pete the PUN-isher and Magnum Kone.  Pete is running around to the fans asking them puns but doesn’t stick around to give the answers.  Magnum rolls his eyes and he makes his way to the ring.  Pete jumps in saying he wants to start off but as soon as Mason the Mangler enters, he bolts and tags in Magnum.  Magnum would clean house and then Pete would tag himself in.  Once Pete started to get beat down, he would tag out.  This went on for 29 minutes.  Finally, Magnum got tired of it and just as Pete was setting up the PUN-ctuation, Magnum tagged himself in and nailed Otto with the Choco Taco (backbreaker).  Magnum made the cover and got the 1-2-3.  The champs win this one but it was for sure not an easy win.  Pete tried to complain to the Ambassador but as Magnum exited the ring, he threw Pete’s belt at him almost hitting him in the face.  Magnum smiled as he walked off.  Pete and the Ambassador followed.  (29 min)

We cut backstage and are treated to (yet) another vignette from the Hardcore champion the Masked Gentleman.

*Miss Samantha comes in with a lit cigar and blows smoke to the camera that it clouds up the camera and Bam!  In pops the Masked Gentleman, MG looks left and looks right, and then admires Miss Samantha. "So I believe I woke up the Queen it seems. Well, lucky me...well I guess its lucky me. See King CJ I have been watching you as of late. Am I Impressed?  Not Really, you see all I seen is your mouth rattle, like a baby rattle...talk talk talk. Now You got a big mouth, and that's fine, I can sling the shit just as well as you. now sit down on your throne...flush it first please by all means, because you raised the ire of the HCW Hardcore Champion. I never turn down a fight, and your little challenge? Pfft, I was born for that crap. So #TrashBag CJ, I have no worries about taking you through the hell you seem to expect to take me through. Match 1 is a lumberjack Strap match? No worries, any chance to use a weapon on your hapless soul is fine with me, so do I get to pick Match 2? If so I think that after you Think you will have your fun with the other HCW Morons around the ring, I think then WHEN I beat you in the First Match, that I will share the ring with you in my Favorite enclosure....a STEEL CAGE!!! Then IF there happens to be a Match 3, or third fall, then WHATEVER Bumbling Idiot Max decides, I don't Care.....Miss Samantha will be by my side in whatever I decide. King I'm gonna crown you, and i am sure you heard all the "Royal" Lines, but this much is true, The #BlackNBlue Hashtag will be worn out on YOU!" *Miss Samantha blows smoke into the camera again as MG disappears and Miss Samantha walks out of the screen shot*

It’s time for some action from the Women’s side.  Queen’s Court member Lady Hermann comes out first and is pretty heavily booed.  Her opponent Southern Belle comes out next and even though she’s not been the nicest to the fans, they like her more than her Ladyship.   As the match began, Starr Vixen made her way out and that totally put Lady Hermann off her game.   Belle capitalized and controlled the entire match.  After Lady Hermann (illegally) choked Belle in the corner, that got Starr up and moving.  She had words with Lady Hermann who almost exited the ring to go after her.  Giving Belle enough time to recover, Starr backed off and sat back down.  Lady Hermann grimaced at her evilly but as soon as she turned around, Belle nailed her with a vicious uppercut.  Belle immediately went for the cover.  Starr snuck over and held down Lady Hermann’s foot so she couldn’t kick out.  Belle gets the 3 count and wins the match.  Starr Vixen leaves the ring as the fans pop for her (not so much for Belle).  (15 min)

Max walks over and (reluctantly) knocks on MG’s dressing room door and Miss Samantha answers.  She’s not wearing a whole lot.  Max, speechless for a moment, tells her to let MG know he has a match tonight.  She reminds Max he already defended his title (and claimed to be doing that right now) but Max says it’s not for the Hardcore title but is actually for the World Title.  Her eyes light up and she slams the door in Max’s face.  You can hear her tell MG the news and a lot of whooping and hollering followed.  Max shuddered and then left.

We head back to the ring for tag team action.  First, MJ comes out and leads the Smashers to the ring.  They are booed.  Next, Ant Graham (haven’t heard from him since he tried to rig the Manager of the Year results) leads 5th Column members (and co-holders of the 6 Man trophy) Oswald Zimmerman & Karl Braun to the ring.  The Smashers have challenged the 5th Column for their placement in the Tag team top 10.  Right off the bat, Ant Graham and MJ had words and were actually separated by their respective teams.  The fans do not like either team.  The Smashers were tearing into the 6 man champs and it just wasn’t pretty.  On the outside of the ring, MG and Ant Graham got into it again.  This time the ref got involved and separated the two but MJ, still pissed, swung at Ant but missed and nailed the ref.  The ref immediately disqualified the Smashers (who were wondering what the hell just happened) and awarded the match to Ant Graham and the 5th Column.   MJ followed his team to the back trying to explain what just went down.  (18 min)

Backstage, World Champion Drew the Canadian Love Machine says tonight he gets to take on (presumably) the toughest man in the HCW – the Masked Gentleman.  Drew says that he didn’t become the World Champion by taking on lightweights.  He says tonight, he may be in for a tough challenge but he will retain.

We go back to the ring for our next match with more new hires that Max picked up.  First, new guy Talon McFrost comes out and the fans boo him as he is flipping them off.   Next, his opponent Bishop Ripley heads down to the ring and he gets a better reception.  He high fives with the fans before entering the ring.  Talon attacks him and this one is underway.  The match was extremely technical and only one pin attempt was…well…attempted during this match.  Both men fought hard and when the bell rang bringing this one to its conclusion…a draw, both men ended up shaking hands in a show of respect and then left.  (20 min draw)

Backstage, our illustrious GM Max McGillicutty had an announcement for the entire HCW Roster:  “Some people think they’re entitled; others feel like they own the show.  This is for each and every member on this roster.  If you feel you’re entitled to something, guess what…you’re not.  Those who want to take matters into their own hands…if I do not feel it is best for business, guess what…there’s the door.  Go find another place to work.  I am responsible for HCW.  I do what is best for business.  I’m sick and tired of people thinking, because they have temporary possession of a title that they rule the roost.  I will make one thing perfectly clear…I am in charge.  Want to challenge my authority?  You’ll lose.  Even with this “new found attitude”, the owners have my back.  You will not.  I’m not saying this is a dictatorship but the next person or team who feels the need to usurp my authority will find themselves on the unemployment line.”  Wow.  Max is really putting his foot down.

It’s time for the Main Event.  The Hardcore Champion the Masked Gentleman w/ Miss Samantha makes his way down to the ring.  The fans throw all kinds of stuff at him but he doesn’t care.  He showboats on the turnbuckles while Miss Samantha parades around the ring with his Hardcore title.  The music changes and the fans POP as the World Champion Drew the Canadian Love Machine makes his way down.  The fans are behind him 100% and that raises the ire of MG.  Drew climbs the turnbuckles and holds his title high all the while keeping an eye on MG.  Drew went on the offensive before MG could attack him and he controlled the tempo of the match.  MG tried to get a break and he tossed Drew out of the ring but was back in after a 2 count.  After more back and forth, Drew hit MG with the La Casita but MG hurled Drew out of the ring again and tried to get his wind back.  Drew nailed a Lover Bomb but MG was too close to the ropes.  MG would battle back and nail a superplex.  He would go for the pin but Drew kicked out.  Drew hit the La Casita again and went for a pin but MG kicked out.  As Drew was rolling over, Miss Samantha rushed over and eye gouged Drew blinding him.  MG hit a piledriver and a powerslam.  MG called for another piledriver but Drew nullified it.  MG nailed a powerslam and then dumped Drew out of the ring.  Drew barely got back in before the 10 count.  MG nailed a lariat and then began showboating.  All of a sudden, King CJ came out and threatened to get in the ring.  MG began jaw jacking with him.  He then turned around and Drew hit him with the Lover Bomb.  The ref counted 1…2…3!  Drew the Canadian Love Machine is victorious and retains his title.  MG gets up and shoulderblocks Drew out of the ring.  While he is jawjacking with King CJ, he begins to do the ‘Hogan’ pose.  All of a sudden, the Super Shockmaster runs in from the crowd and with a (take a) ticket dispenser and blasts MG with it knocking him out.  Super Shockmaster stands over MG laughing and is pulling all the numbers out of the dispenser and dropping them on MG.  Miss Samantha is yelling for someone to stop this and King CJ approaches her.  He begins to flirt with her and she slaps him across the face.  King CJ just smiles (in a very creepy way) as the show comes to an end.

Be sure to turn in to our next show.  Once MG shakes off the cobwebs, I’m sure he will have responses for both King CJ and the Super Shockmaster.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2016 #535

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  2017 is moving full steam ahead and we begin today’s show with a pre-taped promo from the Hashtag himself, King CJ.

“Wow 2016 what a year ....apocalypse what an event....backstabbers and haircuts, legends and up and comers but you see the king is not living in the past ...hes only looking towards the future...and he has his sights set on you sir.....thats right the hashtag vs the Muppet mister masked mistress im talking to you.... looks like youve had a pretty big year....you beat texas' best in texas wildfire, former champ the fiend (a belt I know all too well) , hell youve even ripped of a dead rowdy roddy piper!!!! Bravo to you sir...but you see once again the king is not impressed!!! So mr hardcore champion, youve talked a big game....but now it is time to put up or shut up!!! So what is it that im purposing??? How about a ‘best of 3’ series of matches...thats right 3 different matches, a match of my choice a match of your choice...and of course because he runs the company a match of maxs' choice with a 1st chance stipulation...which means when i whip your ass you cannot challenge me as a hardcore champion ever...and vice versa....so what do you say max....mg??? Put up or keep your big mouth shut....KING CJ out!” (drops the mic)

Our first match is to complete the top 12 for the Ladies title.  11 spots have been filled with 6 Ladies vying for the last spot.  Drawing byes were Queen Beckett and the Duchess.  Madame Jade, Scarlett Phoenix, the British Crippler and Sarona Reiher all were double eliminations.   That basically left the Duchess taking on Queen Beckett.  Beckett controlled the match until the Duchess locked her in the All Hail Her Majesty but the Queen wouldn’t tap out.   Starr Vixen came down to scout the match.  Queen Beckett nailed the Ram-Paige and was setting the Duchess up for the Her Majesty’s smash but Starr tripped her at the ropes.  Beckett stumbled in the ring and the Duchess nailed her with a superkick.  She made the cover and got the 1-2-3.  The Duchess takes the final spot.  Starr leaves without further incident.  (30 min total)

Backstage, the Steel Curtain’s Buzz Steel confronts Max about taking away his world title shot and Max reminds Buzz that HE is the one who makes matches around here and will do what he feels is best for business.  Having Rad Gumbo go for the world title is better for business than Buzz going for it (even though Buzz is a one time world champion).  Buzz storms out of the office.

We head to the ring for our next match which has the debut of another new wrestler.  A masked man comes out carrying what appears to be a hangman’s noose.  He is introduced as Hangman #3 (not sure what happened to 1 & 2 but oh well).  His opponent hailing from the west coast is Jesse California.  Jesse was owning the match until he got dumped on the outside.  Hangman #3 ran him into the steel steps and rolled back in just before the 10 count was reached.  Hangman #3 gets the win via countout.  Hangman #3 turned and put something in his mask.  Jesse got in the ring and Hangman #3 nailed a headbutt on Jesse busting him open.  Hangman #3 then got his noose and wrapped it around Jesse’s throat.  Jesse was then thrown over the top rope and it looked like the Hangman was really trying to hang Jesse.  A bunch of refs ran out and were able to help Jesse out but he was in need of medical attention.  Jesse was taken to the back on a stretcher while Hangman #3 flaunted his evil doings in the ring much to the dismay of the fans.  (9 min for the match; 15 for the segment)

Backstage, the Masked Gentleman and Miss Samantha were roaming around and they ran into GM Max McGillicutty.  Max says he’s glad that he ran into MG (MG at this point has not seen the promo from King CJ) and says he’s finally in the main event tonight. MG says “Finally” but Max tells him his Hardcore title is on the line. MG tries to throw a fit but Max walks off.  MG storms into his dressing room and Miss Samantha follows.

We go back to the ring for our next match.  First, the Fiend makes his way down to music from the Misfits.  The fans give him a warm reception.  His opponent Angry Jack Lawson powerwalks to the ring, gets in and immediately goes after the Fiend.  That immediate attack was about all Angry Jack had in him as the Fiend went to town right away and beat the snot out of him.  Every time the Fiend went for a pin or submission, Jack somehow found his way to the ropes to break the count.  Just when it appeared Jack’s luck was going to run out, the bell rang bringing this one to a draw.  Jack immediately got out of there and went to the back.   A disappointed Fiend remained at ringside for a few moments with his Misfit fans and then eventually left.  (20 min draw)

Back in the interview area, Buzz and Starbuck Steel say that Max must have gotten it wrong as they have a win under their belts after they annihilated P&L.  Since Max won’t give them the #1 spot, tonight, they challenge the team who has it – the Desperados.

Next on the card is a ladies match.  Scarlett Phoenix comes out to a good pop.  Her opponent, Southern Belle makes her way out and she is booed. She flips off the fans without caring what they think.  For 9 minutes, Belle dominated the match but after Scarlett caught her with the Black Widow, things began to go her way and Belle panicked.  Scarlett would get 2 pin attempts but Belle would kick out each time.  Finally, in a desperation move, Belle hit Scarlett with a vicious eye rake blinding her.  She then immediately rolled Scarlett up and with her feet on the ropes, she got the 1-2-3. Southern Belle gets the win and the fans practically riot.  She doesn’t care and laughs as she leaves the ring.  Scarlett tried to reason with the ref but it was just too late.  (19 min)

Backstage, Phat Sol learns he is getting the title match against the Masked Gentleman and he’s happy however once he learns his manager can’t assist him, his mood changes.  Miss Samantha interrupts his promo and asks to speak with the Ambassador off camera.  Phat looks confused as both managers go off to talk.

It’s time for tag team action.  First, the Steel Curtain (Buzz and Starbuck Steel) make their way down to the ring.  Next, their opponents the Desperados (El Chango & Leon Teremoto) make their way out to defend their spot as #1 contender for the tag team titles.  It is announced that there will be a special guest referee for this match and out comes former World champion the Stache.  Stache’s pop rivaled that of the Steel Curtain.
The Desperados looked great in this outing going toe to toe with the former champs.  This frustrated the Curtain as they couldn’t seem to hold the advantage.  About 16 minutes in, Buzz hit Leon Teremoto with the Buzz Cut and Leon rolled out of the ring and landed on his head injuring himself.  Even without his partner, El Chango held the lead for his team.  El Chango and the Stache faced off a few times but no blows were thrown.  El Chango held on until the bell rang at the 20 minute mark bringing this one to a time limit draw.  The Steel Curtain were pissed off the time limit was dropped from 30 to 20 minutes as they could have easily won this one had they had more time.  Frustrated, they left to the back.  Leon was helped up and eventually after a cursory checkup, was deemed ok and he and El Chango left with their spot intact.  (20 min)

Backstage, the Masked Gentleman asks Miss Samantha:  “Is it done?”  She replies with “Yes” and then he takes her arm and as they start to make their way to the ring for their match, they are stopped by Clarkus Kentus who asks MG what he thinks about everyone seemingly wanting a piece of him especially former US Champion Super Shockmaster. He sets up a ticker tape machine and says “Tell him to take a number and get in line.”  He and Miss Samantha then head to the ring for their match.

It’s time for the Main Event.  The challenger, Phat Sol, makes his way to the ring first.  The music changes and out comes the Hardcore Champion the Masked Gentleman with Miss Samantha.  While the curtains are still open, we see the Ambassador standing off to the side counting a giant wad of bills.  Once MG gets in the ring, he is asked what sort of rules he wants and says “Boot Camp”.  Phat, right out of the gate, nailed the Phat-Phat and almost got a 3 count.  That set the pace for the next 15 minutes.  Phat held the lead and went for multiple pin attempts but MG wouldn’t stay down.  After the 15 min mark, MG tried for a superplex but Phat reversed it and went for the Phat-Phat but MG reversed that and hit a piledriver.  That turned the tide in MG’s favor.  He looked to Miss Samantha who pleasantly smiled at him and then he just DESTROYED Phat for the next 10 minutes.  Finally, MG grabbed a military boot and smashed Phat with it.  He made the cover and got the 1-2-3.  (25 min) The Masked Gentleman is victorious in his first title defense of 2017.  He and Miss Samantha showboated in the ring as the show came to an end.

After the camera stopped rolling (and Phat Sol made his way to the back), MG got on the mic “Hey #HagRag…this is how you do it.  Texas Wildfire…enjoy your title because as soon as I’m ready, it will be mine.  AND as for supposedly Super ShockMaster....LOL...where would I even begin with that half-wit......MG is not worried about someone who cannot break through a wall without falling, so he is the least of my worries.  The CHAMP is out!”  He and Miss Samantha pose as the cameras turn off.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2016 #534

Hello fans and welcome back as we kick HCW right into high gear.  As we noted last issue, in the final days of 2016, the Queen’s Court picked up a new ladies wrestler Starr Vixen but instead of letting her wrestle, she was made to carry their bags (and even worse, do their expense reports) while the Court toured around England.  After weeks of being verbally abused by the Court, she got fed up of being bossed around and turns on them.  “I’m my own person and you can’t control me anymore”.  Queen Beckett says she’ll have something to say about that and promises that Starr’s life in the ring will not be an easy one.

In a very surprising move, the Elitist Reid Rothchild and his manager (2016 Manager of the Year) Master Bull brought back the Elitist title.  GM Max McGillicutty says he can’t do this (because of what happened last year with ‘the Board’) but Reid says he went to Mr. McM on his own and spoke to him in a language he understands…money…basically, he “bought” his own title back.  It has been modified slightly removing all references to the “old” federations.  Reid says that the fans didn’t support him worth a crap when he fought TV Champion ScooterJ and he doesn’t need them anymore.    Max says fine and now he gets to defend it…Today.

Our first match kicks off with newcomer Ice Dagger making his way to the ring.  Next, the ‘new’ Elitist Champion Reid Rothchild w/ Master Bull make their way down to the ring.  The fans have obviously turned on him after Reid referred to them as crap.  All we can say is that Reid looked HORRIBLE in this match and Ice Dagger owned him.  However, it’s not how you look but how you finish and Reid somehow managed to lock Dagger in the Figure Four Reid Lock and Ice had no choice but to tap out.  Reid Rothchild is successful in his first defense as Elitist Champion once again.  (11 min)  Reid flipped off the fans as he left.

Max says all championships will be defended every month (as opposed to every 30 days) so someone can defend their title the beginning of one month and not have to defend it again till the end of the next month.

It’s time for the next match.  The Queen’s Court (Lady Hermann, the British Crippler and Queen Beckett) come out unified but only Lady Hermann heads down to the ring.  Her opponent is our other newest addition to the roster Starr Vixen.  Starr doesn’t appear nervous but is cautious with the Court looming.  Lady Hermann goes right on the offensive and the Court applaud and cheer her on from the stage.  As Starr went for a standing suplex, her ladyship reversed it and hit a running jumping knee drop.  Lady Hermann hits a sitout wheelbarrow facebuster and Starr connects with a baseball slide sending her royalness to the floor.  After pouting, she finally got back in.  She caught Starr with another sitout wheelbarrow facebuster and then turned to the Court for approval to end it.  However, Starr was not done and she locked Lady Hermann in a scissored armbar right in the middle of the ring.  Lady Hermann struggled but could not get away so she tapped out.  Starr Vixen got her first win but it was short lived as Queen Beckett and the British Crippler ran down to attack her but she got out of there with minimal damage.  (3 min)

Backstage, The Steel Curtain meet with Max and say that, as former champs, they should be first in line for a rematch.  Max reminds them that they didn’t even have one successful defense under their belts before losing them therefore, they will have to work their way back up.  SC say fine and issue a challenge to the #1 contenders the Desperados at the next show.  Buzz adds on that tonight, though, he wants a singles match and Max says he’ll grant it.

For the next match, Billy Robbins and Adam Jameson head to the ring.  Backstage, P&L (Phat Sol and Red Hot Lucas Johnston (sporting his 2016 award)) tell the Ambassador that they are still deserving to be in the running for the tag belts.  The Ambassador tells them that if they pursue this course of action, he cannot support them as a team as he now has to be in the corner of the champs.  P&L head out to the ring minus their manager.  For 10 minutes, both teams were even with all 4 men giving their all.  Adam locks Phat in a reverse STF and that signaled the beginning of the end for P&L.  Billy is tagged in but eats a vertical suplex but he hits Phat with rapid punches.   Phat hits a jaw jacker and Billy shows him how to do a real vertical suplex.  Phat lands wrong and looks to be in pain.  Adam takes out Lucas so he can’t interfere.  Billy nails Phat with a moonsault and Adam throws him out of the ring.  He’s hurt so he doesn’t make it back in and ends up getting counted out.  Adam Jameson and Billy Robbins retain their spot.  (14 min)

A pre-taped video airs with Starr Vixen in a “Get to know you” segment.  Here are the highlights:

*  She thought everyone hated her, therefore decided to hate them first to avoid rejection
*  She was an great athlete growing up, but didn't take direction or instructions well.
*  She was an empty shell; she had no passion until wrestling came along and changed all that.

She knew teaming with the Queen’s Court was supposed to be a move in the right direction but they like all those who came before, despised her.  She finally stood up for herself and broke from the Court and she says she will stand with all those who feel oppressed (by creative) and make their voices heard.

We head back to the ring for our next match.  Both competitors are in the World Title top 10 but are now vying for a higher position.  First, Wilber Townsend comes out and is booed.  His opponent, former World Champion the Stache comes out and gets the biggest pop of the night.  The crazy man from the deep woods took a mic and started off:

"You give a man a mask and he will reveal his true face. Nobody is innocent, Stache. They're all guilty. They've all worn a mask at some point or another. Whether it was to hide their wrong doings or fit into some social scene, it makes no difference. But there is a problem. The problem is that if you hide behind this mask for too long it becomes you. Then, to remove this mask is to remove your own skin. I will brake you, Stache. My sword will leave a scar on your soul that can never heal. Tonight this sword will slay a giant; a gift for you, Stache. Can't you hear her calling your name? Can't you hear her sweet song serenading your mind? I'll never forget what she said to me the first time I heard her. 'All secrets will come to light underneath the shade of the cypress tree.' He's got the whole world in his hands, he's got the whole world in his hands."

The match started off good but the Stache did appear a bit rusty but he definitely held his own against crazy ol’ Wilbur.  The Stache thought he locked it up after hitting Wilber with the Tombstone (piledriver) but Wilber kicked out at 2.  Wilber would beat down on the Stache before dumping him out of the ring but Stache was back in pretty quick.  Stache gets caught by a short arm clothesline.  Wilber goes for the pin but Stache kicks out.  Wilber ends up getting dumped out of the ring but he took his time to get back in.  As soon as he did, he started blasting Stache with lifting forearm smashes but Stache stopped it with a swift kick to the gut of Wilber and hit him with the Tombstone.  He hooked the leg and got the 1-2-3.  The Stache wins the match and moves up in the rankings as Wilber drops down.  (14 min)

The US Champion the Super Shockmaster is backstage and says he doesn’t have to explain any of his actions.  The Shockmaster who came before was a failure.  He is not and will prove it once he successfully retains the US title. In his best, mechanized (Darth Vader) voice, he says “Wildfire...ha,ha,haaa... prepare to be... EXTINGUISHED! Ha, ha, haaaa!”

For the next match, Steel Curtain member Buzz Steel comes out and is accompanied by his tag team partner Starbuck Steel.   Starbuck wishes his partner good luck and goes to leave as Buzz’s opponent comes out.   Led by his manager MJ, out comes ‘the Ragin Cajun’ Rad Gumbo.  Gumbo has words with Starbuck as he’s leaving and it seemed to get heated before Gumbo walked away laughing.  For two minutes, Buzz laid into the Cajun dropping him with the Buzzkill and he had to bolt out of the ring to consult with MJ.  As soon as he did, things began going his way.  Gumbo got some great advice (and outside interference from MJ) and took the match to Buzz.  Gumbo trapped Buzz in the Onion lock but Buzz refused to submit.  Gumbo hit the Bourbon Street Blues and the Voodoo Driver to keep Buzz on the defensive.  Gumbo hit another Bourbon Street Blues and then went to flirt with the ladies at ringside.  As soon as he got back in, Buzz hit him with a slingshot suplex.  Buzz set him up for Buzz Cut but MJ grabbed Buzz’s leg causing a distraction.  Gumbo capitalized and hit Buzz with the Bourbon Street Blues.  He made the cover and (with a hook of the tights) got the 1-2-3.  Rad Gumbo scores a victory over Buzz Steel.  GM Max comes out and says that Buzz was a top contender for the World title and Gumbo was originally for the US title but with this win, places are traded and Gumbo is now a contender for the World title.  Buzz was not happy about the change after the fact and yelled at Max from the ring.  Max walked off.  (11 min)

Texas Wildfire says that because of his loss last month to MG, he cannot pursue any legal action and he’s decided to move on.  MG may still interfere in his business but he will persevere.

It is time for the main event.  Texas Wildfire comes out first to the second loudest pop of the night.  Music changes and the US Champion Super Shockmaster makes his way to the ring.  He is booed but he doesn’t care.  Wildfire went right on the offensive and he looked fantastic in the ring.  Everything was going right until the Masked Gentleman made his way out.  Super Shockmaster took advantage of the distraction and nailed TW with the Galactic Splash.  MG remained at ringside sitting at commentary.  About 12 minutes in, the ref went down and TW and the Super Shockmaster exited the ring and fought on the outside.  MG left commentary and climbed into the ring to remove one of the turnbuckle pads exposing the metal below it.  We join the match at that point.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2016 #533 – Welcome to 2017

Hello fans and welcome to our first newsletter of 2017.  2016 was a year of change and we feel it was all for the better.  We in HCW feel that 2017 will only get better.

While the roster was on break, GM Max McGillicutty went to the arena in Phoenix, AZ on Christmas Eve where all the shows were taped to ensure everything was in order.  However, as he made his way towards the ring, he noticed that a light was enveloping the ring and someone was making their way into the ring.  The Hardcore Champion the Masked Gentleman entered the ring holding something in his arms. He puts up what appears to be a tripod of sorts, then opens up the package he has brought with him, and takes it and places it onto the tripod, it is a #BlackNBlueCrew Wreath, as he admires it for a moment, then leaves the ring and heads back to his dressing room.

Max sees him backstage (we guess MG lives part time out of his dressing room) and approaches MG. "Hey I saw what you did in the ring out there with the wreath, nice." MG Looks at him, "What…Ummm…What the Hell are you talking about? I didn’t do a DAMN thing! Get out of my face before I Welcome mat you to China!”  MG pushes Max out of the way as he heads into his dressing room.  Miss Samantha comes into the backstage area and bypasses Max as she is making her way to MG's dressing room. She is dressed up like a Santa Playboy bunny, as she makes her way to MG's dressing room and enters it.

Another item of note is that The Shockmaster, after winning the US title, decided to forgo his mentor’s name and now calls himself the Super Shockmaster.  Um…Ok.

Last bit of information is that the Queens Court (The British Crippler, Queen Beckett and Lady Hermann), while touring around England, added a new person to their team – Starr Vixen - but instead of letting her wrestle with them, she was made to carry their bags, polish their shoes, etc. I’m sure at some point she will get tired of this and strike back.

As GM Max McGillicutty promised, here is the list of awards presented to select members of the HCW roster.

Starting Wednesday, we’ll be back on the circuit.  Exciting action heading your way.  Stay tuned.
