HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2014 – 08.06 – Day 1 – Clash of the Champions PPV

Hello fans and welcome to Day 1 of our Clash of the Champions Pay Per View.  We are coming to you LIVE in front of a sold out Denver, Colorado audience.  Unbeknownst to most of us, the HWF and CSWA put it out there for some super fans to win free tickets to both days of the event.  Joining us is last year’s winner Superfan Derek but he is now joined by new superfans Kaitlyn Quinn, and a young woman who goes by just P’Nut HBIC.  Our 3 superfans seem to be enjoying themselves as they just got back from visiting with the wrestlers backstage and they are taking their seats.  Derek has his collection of signs (and there are a LOT of them).  Ms. Quinn and P’Nut are rocking out to the music blaring through the speakers.

Pyro goes off and the fans go ballistic.  Lights are flashing and then that all too familiar music hits (Jimi Hendrix) and out comes out GM Hulk Hogan (minus the meat shield).  “The Hulkster is in the house, brother…but so is the HWF and the CSWA.  Denver, Colorado…For the next two days, we are going to blow your socks off with championship matches galore.  We will even have a match for record books with Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar ending their feud in a Hell in the Cell.”  Hogan is getting a good pop and no one has started throwing anything at him…yet.  “I am a little disappointed in my CWO for the lack of representation but that will be addressed at a later time.  Everyone wrestling on the Clash of the Champions card will be expected to put on a show that will go down in history.  Oh, and because of how full the cards are, the championship will be a winner takes all…no rematch.  All champions better be here to retain and challengers better be fighting as this was their last night on this earth.  I will not accept anything less than 100% and you fans don’t deserve any less.  BUT…you are Denver, Colorado; armpit of the mountain range.”  The cheering immediately died down and the fans (yes, every single one of them) became enraged.  Almost on cue, Hogan’s meat shield came out just as the debris started flying.  “Oh settle down.  You know it as well as I or maybe the thin air here has just killed off brain cells.”  He paused a moment.  “Forget it.  You all aren’t worth it.  Time for the show to begin.”  Hogan walks to the back protected by the meat shield.

The GM makes his way to the back and runs into the European Champion Centurion.  “Watch where you’re going, brother.  This is my yard and you are just a part time guest.”  Centurion looks Hogan in the face and says “You can address me as the European Champion as well as 1/3 holder of the 6 man tag team titles.”  “No” Hogan interjects. “What you are is next.  Get your ass to the ring, brother.”  Hogan stares him down and Centurion makes his way to the ring.

Match #1 is European Champion Centurion taking on Jay Lethal in a rematch for the title.  Hogan has mandated that all title defenses will be winner takes all; no rematches.  The Jay Lethal of old is on the scene dressed in his Macho Man getup.  Lethal takes Centurion to school and dominates the champ.  Lethal nails a springboard dropkick that seems to have knocked out Centurion.  Jay then goes to the top rope and nails the Macho Man elbow drop and covers Centurion in the middle of the ring.  1…2….3 and we have a winner and NEW European Champion – Jay Lethal.  Centurion makes his way back with his head hanging in shame.  Lethal celebrates with the fans before he eventually makes his way back.

Match #2 has Prestige Inc member and Internet Media Champion Magnus taking on the 719 Cartel’s Malo Leche de Mantequilla.  The match started off…well, off.  Magnus and Malo were on the outside of the ring within 30 seconds and Malo rammed Magnus’ back into the steel post.  After bringing him back in the ring, Malo turned up the heat…but not the Cartel way…his own.  I wonder if when he trained with Nick Diaz (learning to ‘keep it real’), he took it too far.  Not in a very nice fashion, Malo went to town on the champ.  Magnus never recovered from the post shot he took and in 6:55, Malo nails a snap Suplex and with his feet on the ropes, he gets the 1-2-3.  Another title has just changed hands with Malo Leche de Mantequilla winning the Internet Media title.  Magnus tried to inquire ‘what’s up with that?’ and Malo clocked him one .   Malo grabbed his title and left to the booing from the fans.  He flipped them off all the while flaunting his newly acquired title.

We cut to the back where we see Centurion, flanked by the rest of Wyatt’s Warriors, approach Hogan.  “I don’t know what your malfunction is but you just cost me my title old man.  I demand a rematch.”  Hogan looked at him funny.  “You demand what?  You are nothing.  You and your warrior team are nothing.  The only thing that matters here is Hulk Hogan and what I can and will do in the HWF and CSWA.  If you don’t like it, brother, there is the door.  Don’t let it hit you in the ass on your way out.”  Hogan then closed his office door in the Warrior’s faces.  Centurion looked to his teammates “This isn’t over.”  They all then walked away.

As we go back to the ring for Match #3, before the match can begin, the 60’s Batman music hits and out comes the Caped Crusader.  He is smiling and waving to the fans who cheer him on as he makes his way into the ring .  He is dressed in full Adam West Batman attire and does some running around the ring, bouncing off the ropes and (not sure why) dropkicking the air.  Once he settles down, he grabs a mic.

“Holy awesome pay per view, Denver (cheap pop).  I was brought in to the HWF and CSWA to be the Enforcer of good sportsmanship.  I have been in this federation for 9 weeks and I have seen nothing but cheating and poor sportsmanship by no less than 50% of the wrestlers.  Well, enough is enough!  From here on out, if you insist on tainting our sport with your cheating ways, you had better watch your back, for the Caped Crusader has his eyes on you and will find a way to bring you to justice.”

“And speaking of justice: Mark Henry, you knocked over my ambulance a month ago, with me still in it.  Remember that?  Well, my friend, I believe that act is a crime in the state of Louisiana as well as the city of New Orleans.  My good friend Commissioner Gordon with the New Orleans PD will soon be servicing you with an arrest warrant.”

“Oh, and Mr. Hogan?  Holy switcheroos.  I see how you like to change the rules and the scheduling of matches on a moment's notice, as it suits your whims.  This is not right, sir, and this crapola never happened while Donnie B. was at the helm.  You too, sir, are on notice...”

The Caped Crusader drops the mic, climbs to the top rope, and does an impressive (but pointless) high flying body press onto the mat below before raising his arms triumphantly and exiting the ring much to the delight of the Denver crowd. 

We cut back to the ring for our 3^rd match which has X-Division Champion Casey Jones taking on Shield member Roman Reigns.  Right from the get-go, Reigns beat the holy Hell out of Casey.  Jones could not get much in the way of any offense for the entire match.  Reigns started to get a bit frustrated and his Shield teammates Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins came down to the ring.  They could see that Reigns was having issues getting the job done so they did what they do best…interfere.  Ambrose and Rollins jumped in the ring and attacked Roman Reigns!!!  What??? The Shield just imploded with Rollins and Ambrose taking out their former tag team partner.  Casey Jones ends up being disqualified but the title doesn’t change hands on a DQ.  He quickly left the ring as not to have any of the Shield’s anger directed towards him.  Ambrose and Rollins double powerbomb Reigns and then spike piledrive him.  Rollins and Ambrose raise their arms in victory as Roman Reigns is attended to by the ringside doctor.

We cut to the back where the Caped Crusader is approached by Hulk Hogan.  “Listen here little man, you better not do anything to disrupt MY federation.  This is MY show, brother, and I won’t have you stirring the pot.  For the sake of everyone, you have the night off.  In fact, don’t show up here tomorrow either.  I don’t want you jeopardizing what I feel is best for business so take off, eh…BROTHER.”  Hogan walks away and Caped Crusader, bag in hand, leaves the arena.

 Match #4 on our sizzling PPV is up next with the Women’s World Champion Gail Kim (who’s been undefeated as champion since winning the title) takes on Velvet Sky.  Sky is in the ring waiting for the champ who takes her sweet time to walk to the ring.  Gail had control for about the first 3 minutes and then it was all Velvet.  The fans were chanting “This is great” throughout the match as both women gave it their all.  Velvet really took the match to Gail who was just not prepared for the onslaught her opponent brought with her.  In what is probably one of the best matches of the night, Velvet Sky nails the Beauty Mark in 17 minutes and rolls Gail up for the 1-2-3.  Velvet Sky has just won the Women’s Title.  The fans are straining from the rafters and the applause for Velvet is almost deafening.  Gail left the ring to let the new champ celebrate with her title.

With the start of Match #5, we are half way through Day 1 of the Clash.  The second half of the show starts off with Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler taking on Ryback.  This was supposed to be the Miz fighting but Ryback dispensed with Miz pretty easily to win this shot.   Ryback may have had it easy with the Miz but it was quite the opposite with the IC champ.  Dolph never let Ryback get much in the way of offense in.  At one point, the Miz came in through the crowd shielding himself from the in-ring participants and the ref.  After Ryback hit the Meathook, he went for a pin but Dolph had his foot on the ropes.  The ref sends Ryback to the other corner and Miz nails him with a chair.  Dolph recovers enough and without realizing what happened, he hits a german Suplex and gets the 1-2-3 in 18 minutes.  As Dolph is celebrating in the ring, Miz jumps in and hits him with the same chair he used to take out Ryback.  Dolph collapses and Miz picks up the title and stands on the turnbuckles showing off.  The fans boo him but he could care less.  He ends up dropping the title on Dolph before leaving.

We cut to the back where we see Roman Reigns getting stitched up after the attack by his former teammates.  Reigns is VERY PISSED OFF and all he does is stare at the camera as the doctors clean him up.

Match #6 is next with the Tag Team Champions and members of the 719 Cartel VamChango (comprised of Senor Vampiro and El Chango) take on the re-formed Dudley Boys.  Bully Ray is now back to his original name Bubba Ray.  This was one of the shortest matches of the night as it only went 5 minutes.  For 4 of those minutes, all 4 men were in the ring and the ref couldn’t get control.  Bubba ends up going to the outside to set up a table.  He crawls back in and Devon is getting ready to throw Senor Vampiro out of the ring and onto the table.  El Chango ends up knocking down Devon and Bubba Ray was charging and after pulling down the top rope, Bubba goes sailing over the top and through the table.  Bubba ends up getting counted out.  VamChango retain their titles.

Because the tag team match was so short, Hogan told Daniels and Styles to head to the ring for their match.

Match #7 has Christopher Daniels defending the US title against AJ Styles.  This one had MATCH of the Night written all over it.  Daniels and Styles battled in the ring and out of the ring.  The champ had this one locked up for the first 15 minutes of the match and then after being on the receiving end of a Pele kick, the tide turned to the challenger.  AJ battled like a fresh new man and took the fight to his former friend/partner.  AJ nails Daniels with a flying dropkick and then catches the disoriented champ with a  gut buster followed by a roll up.  He gets the 1-2-2 and AJ Styles gets the win and is the NEW US CHAMPION.

Match #8 begins with Batista making his way to the ring.  He is then followed by the HWF World Champion (and holder of the Undisputed Heavyweight title) Bray Wyatt.  Wyatt is accompanied to the ring by Wyatt’s Warriors minus the Undead Warrior (who was preparing for his match next).  Bray gets in the ring and reminds Batista that all of his World title matches are specialty and this one will be Colorado (cheap pop) Death Match.  Dave shrugs his shoulders and attacks the champ.  Bray held his own but so did the challenger.  Dave used strength to counter the chaos brought in by Bray.  The match goes for 13 minutes and Bray nails the Sister Abigail.  Dave bounces up immediately and  nails an Enforcer Spinebuster.  He makes the cover and gets the 3 count.  Batista has just defeated Bray Wyatt to become the NEW HWF WORLD CHAMPION.  Wyatt’s Warriors all hit the ring to come to the aid of their leader and Batista takes each and every one of them out.  Dave stands tall to the cheering from the fans.  Congratulations Dave!!!

In the back, just as he was preparing to head to the ring, Bray approaches the Undead Warrior.  “Where were you?  The Warriors are supposed to stand in force and you left us all hanging.  Once this evening is over my friend, we will need to have a conversation.  Remember who you are.”  Bray walked away as Undead Warrior shrugged and continued to stretch.

Hulk Hogan comes out and tells the fans the main event is up next with Undead Warrior and Jeff Hardy battling it out to see who will become the new CSWA World Champion.  Hogan practically promises us that it won’t be the Undead Warrior (he’d better not cheat or else).  Also, because a new HWF World Champion was crowned, a new match is being added to tomorrow’s show that will pit the HWF vs the CSWA World Champion and the winner will go on to meet Bray Wyatt for the Undisputed Heavyweight title.

Match #9 – Our Main Event – is here with the Undead Warrior taking on Jeff Hardy with the winner getting the CSWA World title.  Both men make it to the ring but before the match can begin, we hear Hogan’s voice on the loudspeaker “Before the match can begin, brother, we need a top caliber referee who will call this right down the middle.  He is on his way out now.”

‘Voodoo Child’ hits and out walks the GM in a sleeveless referee shirt.  Fans are confused but no one is throwing anything at him…yet.  Hogan climbs in the ring and on mic, tells us that this match will be a no countout/no DQ match.  “Ring the bell, brother.”

The Undead Warrior was unstoppable. This was like the Undertaker from 20 years ago.  No matter what Jeff Hardy tried to throw at him, nothing would work; not the Twist of Fate, the Swanton, nothing.  Jeff even hit ‘the Enigma’ but Undead would not stay down.  UW glanced at Hogan about 10 minutes in and what he saw took him aback.  He saw Paul Bearer standing there saying “Remember who you are Undertaker.  You have this.  Take what is rightfully yours.”  Undead Warrior had eaten a nasty dropkick from Jeff Hardy when Hogan came over and “Do you know who you are?  Do you know where you are?”  Undead Warrior sat up and beat the stupid body paint off of Jeff.  At the 19 minute mark, Undead Warrior hit the ‘Last Ride’ and made the cover.  Hogan came over and….counted….at normal speed.  1…2…3.   The Undead Warrior has just won/regained the CSWA World Title.  Hogan hands the belt to Undead Warrior and the fans explode.  Undead Warrior turns to Hogan and after a brief staredown, Hogan extends his hand and Undead Warrior accepts it.  The fans erupt even louder until over the loudspeaker we hear “Hold on, hold on a second.”  Out comes Undisputed Champion Bray Wyatt.  “Just what the Hell do you think you’re doing, Undead Warrior?  Are you trying to upstage me?  ME?  I’m the F(bleep)ing Undisputed Champion.  You don’t show me up.  I OWN you.”  Undead Warrior yanks the mic out of Bray’s hand.  “No, not anymore.”  He then drags his thumb across his throat and Bray shoves a finger in his face.   Undead Warrior peppers Bray with lefts and rights and the throws him to the ropes where Bray, after bouncing off the ropes, eats a big foot to the face.  Undead Warrior picks up Bray Wyatt and hits the Last Ride followed up by a tombstone piledriver.  Bray is out cold.  “The Undead Warrior is gone and here stands the one and only UNDERTAKER!  Bray Wyatt, you will Rest…In…Peace.”  Wyatt’s Warriors all hit the ring to attack Undertaker but he disposes of each and every one of them in quick, clean fashion.  The show ends with Undertaker celebrating with his title in the ring.

HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2014 – 08.05 – The leadup to the Clash

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  Today’s issue, leading up to this weekend’s PPV is coming live from the home of the CSWA – Colorado Springs, CO.  The show begins with a vignette showing all the highlights of the CSWA over the past 9 years which all began in 2005 (go to the archive section to read all the past stories @ http://hwfcswafantasy.blogspot.com) which was headlined by the first ever CSWA World Champion Mohammed Hassan (who also became a triple crown winner holding the HWF World title and the Undisputed Heavyweight title after defeating Chris Benoit).  The scene that got the most applause from the crowd was the acknowledgement by the Undertaker that MW3 was truly a worthy opponent.    The crowd was reminded that there would be a weeklong fanfest celebrating the HWF and CSWA throughout Denver and Colorado Springs and that wrestlers from both brands would be making appearances throughout both cities.

After the vignette finished, out came GM Hulk Hogan with his meat shield.  “This place is a cesspool and you think I’m not going to be prepared for the STINK of this place?”  That got all the people riled up and the meat shield did their job of protecting the GM from the flying clutter.  “Before I leave” Hogan continued “I’m doing you all a favor in giving you matches to watch so sit your asses down and enjoy.”  Hogan left the stage as the amount of flying debris increased and the meat shield was losing its effectiveness.

The first match on the card is between two of our more recent acquisitions Kenta taking on Sami Zayn.  Kenta controlled the entire match but Sami would not get pinned.  The match goes on for 25 minutes with Kenta eventually catching Zayn with a Death Valley Driver and rolled him up for the pin.  Both men got a standing ovation from the crowd.

A quick cut to the back with newly crowned North American Champion and the enforcer of the A-Team Abyss is standing there.  Mark Henry walks up to him and says that Abyss still needs an opponent for the Clash and the World’s Strongest Man is filling that spot – whether Abyss likes it or not.  Henry then walks away before Abyss can get a word in at all. 

Next on the card is Ethan Carter III taking on Heath Slater.  Slater kept jumping out of the ring looking to get himself counted out.  Rockstar Spud came from the back and forced Slater back in the ring.  ECIII nails a belly to back Suplex and is able to get the 1-2-3.  After the match, ECIII and Spud shook hands and left together.  Slater sulked out of the ring; not really noticed by anyone that he had left. (15 min)

Next up is Stardust (formerly known as Cody Rhodes) taking on Zack Ryder.  In 17 minutes and in dominating fashion, Ryder nails a Russian leg sweep and gets the pin.  Good solid win for Ryder.  Hopefully we’ll see him in the title picture again soon.

We cut to the back where we see another newcomer Conan Jones.  Jones is disappointed he’s not on the Clash card when another wrestler walks up to him.  “I’m a champion and I’m not on the card.  In fact, I won my GOLD MEDAL with a broken freakin’ neck.  You don’t see my whining and crying but if you want a match here, I’ll partake.  See you in the ring.  WOOOOO.”  Conan Jones didn’t know what to do other than stand there and go “ummmmm”. 

More newbies take to the ring as Sanada takes on Adam Rose.  Both men gave this their all and even though Sanada controlled the match later on, Rose would not give up.  The 30 minute bell rang signaling the end of the match.  Both men shook hands much to the delight of the fans.

After months of trying to chase him down, Psycho Jack Hercules finally gets Bo Dallas in the ring for one on one competition.  We expected Psycho Jack to do all the cheating but in fact, it was Bo who did.  After what should have been an illegal chop to the throat, Bo nails a double underhook facebuster and at the 16 minute mark, gets the win.  Jack had to be helped up afterwards.

Conan Jones makes his way reluctantly to the ring for his match against Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle.  This one went a surprising 14 minutes with Conan refusing to lay down for Angle.  Finally, Kurt got frustrated and choked him in the corner.  He then rolled him up in a small package and got the pin.  This is Conan’s first loss since coming in to the HWF and CSWA but really, can anyone blame him for losing to an Olympic Gold Medalist?

We cut to the back where Wyatt’s Warriors member and co-holder of the 6 man tag team titles the Super Warrior was being interviewed.  He was asked about former superstar Alberto Del Rio’s abrupt departure from the federation.  SW says that he did have issues with ADR and that he is glad he is gone but wishes he was the one to send him packing.  Oh well.

Our main event is Ryback taking on the Miz with the winner going to the Clash to meet IC champion Dolph Ziggler.  The Miz controlled the first 12 minutes of the match (due to extreme cheating, of course) but after that, IC champ Dolph Ziggler came out.  The Miz was distracted.  As the ref questioned Dolph for his sudden appearance, in from the crowd comes the Caped Crusader.  He nails Miz with the Wam!Bam!Pow! punch and then quickly departs.   Ryback shakes off the cobwebs and hits a diving headbutt followed up by a powerslam.  Ryback gets the 1-2-3 and secures himself a spot at the Clash. 

The PPV has been finalized and here is how the card is set:

HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2014 – 08.04

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter where we are reporting from the show taped in front of a sold out audience in Ft Collins, CO.  We were told that the Clash of the Champions PPV next weekend is officially sold out.  Hulk Hogan comes out with his meat shield (just in case).  “The Hulkster is in the house, brother.  I've got the Clash of the Champions card packed with two days of solid action.  We do have some loose ends to tie up brother so we need to get this show underway.”  Pyro goes off as we get ready for our first match.

The first match of the night is the Caped Crusader taking on Kevin Steen.  The match goes 23 minutes and surprisingly, the Caped Crusader was on the offensive for the entire match.  Not sure why Steen looked so bad in his match.  The Caped Crusader gets the win after nailing a flying headscissors takedown.

#1 seed Alberto Del Rio takes on #4 seed the Undead Warrior.  UW is accompanied to the ring by the HWF and Undisputed Heavyweight Champion Bray Wyatt.  Wyatt gets in the ring and reveals he’s the special guest referee for this match.  Del Rio doesn’t get a word in at all.  Undead Warrior beats Del Rio from pillar to post and in 5 short minutes, finishes him off with a tombstone piledriver.  Undead Warrior moves on.

Next up is the #2 vs the #3 seed with Jeff Hardy taking on CWO member Dirk “the Pick” Devon.  This one goes 11 minutes and sees Devon have his worst outing since entering the tournament.  Jeff Hardy finished Dirk off after nailing a swanton bomb.   Undead Warrior vs Jeff Hardy will be at the Clash with the winner becoming the CSWA World Champion.

In the back, Mark Henry is challenged for his title shot by Abyss.  Mark Henry agrees and the two head to the ring. Abyss managed to counter the awesome strength of Henry with his own high impact moves.  Henry, of course, was cheating throughout the match.  At the 14 minute mark, the Caped Crusader made his presence known and that distracted Henry just enough for Abyss to nail a Blackhole slam and pick up the win.  Abyss immedialy calls out Alberto Del Rio telling him he doesn’t want to wait until the PPV.  Del Rio doesn’t come out but GM Hulk Hogan does.  Hogan gets on the mic and tells Del Rio to grow a pair.  He is a representative of the CWO and a member of the A-Team.  Del Rio makes his way out.  Hogan tells him to get in the ring.  Hogan says that since Del Rio was being cowardly, his title, status in the CWO, status in the A-team and his job are all on the line.  Alberto gets in Hogan’s face which doesn’t sit well with the GM.  “Get your ass in the ring” Hogan tell him.  Alberto makes his way to the ring.  Hogan announces that this match will be a Thumbtack Deathmatch. 

As Alberto gets into the ring, fellow A-Team members Austin ‘the Man’ Aries and Antonio Cesaro comes down to ringside.  The match is set up as no DQ as part of the deathmatch.  For the first 14 minutes of the match, Del Rio controlled the tempo even though his fellow teammates opted not to get involved which struck Alberto as strange.  Abyss was then able to hit multiple chokeslams on Alberto which put him on the defensive.  At the 18 minute mark, Abyss throws thumbtacks at Alberto covering him in them.  He hollered in pain.  Abyss then hit a Blackhole Slam and made the cover.  1, 2, 3 and we have a brand new North American Champion, member of the CWO and newest member of the A-Team – the Enforcer Abyss.

Alberto Del Rio is escorted out of the ring by security where he walks up to Aries and slaps him in the face.  Aries and Antonio Cesaro beat him down and Abyss nails another Blackhole slam on the floor.  Security pick up Del Rio and drag him to the back where he is shown the door and has it slammed on him (actually hit him on the way out.)

Next on the card is Bobby Lashley taking on Samoa Joe.  This one went 16 minutes and both men were evenly matched up.  At the 14 minute mark, Bobby hit Joe with a Dominator on the floor and Joe never really recovered from that.  Bobby brought him back in the ring and then 2 minutes later, hits another Dominator for the win.  That win is short lived however as Brock Lesnar rushes the ring and attacks Bobby.  Both men brawl until Hogan comes out again.  He tells both men he’s had enough and this needs to end.  Even though neither man hold a title, they will have a match at the Clash and it will be in a Hell in a Cell.  The fight again briefly before they are finally split up.

In the back, we see the 6-man tag team champions Wyatt’s Warriors (Centurion who is also holding his newly acquired singles title, Warrior of Truth and the Super Warrior).  Super Warrior says that a gauntlet was thrown down by the 719 Cartel members Mexicali Flyers and Rey Rey wanting a title shot.  SW says he respects them enough to give them that shot.  The Warrior of Truth speaks up and says that the Truth will set everyone free and that is Wyatt’s Warriors will be walking out with their titles intact.  Centurion leans over and says “Yeah, what he said.”

Tajiri makes his way to the ring for his first match since returning and out comes Malo Leche de Mantequilla.  Malo says that it should be he getting the title shot, not some Japanese jumping bean.  The stipulation is added and if Malo can pull off a win, he will go to the Clash to meet Magnus for the Internet Media title.  In 14 minutes of high flying action, Malo catches Tajiri with a snap suplex and with his feet on the ropes (yeah, he’s a cheater), he gets the 1-2-3.  Malo just earned himself a match at the Clash.  Tajiri was not happy.

The main event of the evening is Ryback taking on Sheamus.  Good Gravy…Ryback totally dominated the Irishman.  For 17 minutes, Ryback beat Sheamus from pillar to post (score was 171 to 72) and finally and mercifully, ended the match with a  powerslam.  Ryback wins the match and immediately challenges the Miz for his title shot at the Clash.  Miz comes out and jokes about how he is above ‘Cryback’ and isn’t going to stoop so low to fight him.  GM Hulk Hogan comes out again and tells the Miz that he was practically handed his Clash match so now he needs to earn it. At the next show, it will be Ryback vs the Miz with the winner meeting Dolph Ziggler for the Intercontinental title.

HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2014 – 08.03

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  Today’s show comes to you from St. Louis, MO.  There was such a huge mess after the KC show that it took the cleaning crew an extra 4 hours to clean up after Centurion’s win.  We’re happy for him but really, 4 hours to clean up after him?  Really?

Today’s show begins with Bray Wyatt and Wyatt’s Warriors making their way down to the ring.  The newly crowned European Champion Centurion is beaming.  6 man tag team champions Warrior of Truth, Super Warrior and Centurion say they will take on all challengers.  Hulk Hogan comes out and tells Centurion that he is in possession of two titles and he will be required to defend both the 6 man and European titles.  Hogan tells them their opponents will be the Mexicali Flyers and Rey Rey.  The Undead Warrior promises that he will win tonight’s battle and then go on to win back his title at the Clash.  Bray Wyatt steps up and tells Batista that the “dark side” is beaconing.  He will be the newest member of Wyatt’s Warriors whether Batista likes it or not.  This brings out Batista who runs down to the ring and attacks Bray but Wyatt’s Warriors squash him before he can do much damage.  Bray hits the Sister Abigail on Dave and Bray stands tall.  Wyatt’s Warriors all leave the ring.

Our first match is a mini tournament to see who will go to the Clash to meet Gail Kim for the Women’s title.   The mini tournament consisted of ODB, Natalya Neidhart, Layla El and Velvet Sky.   Velvet eliminates ODB; Layla eliminates Natalya.  Velvet and Layla then had a standard match which saw the former champion Layla El take the fight to Velvet.  About 25 minutes into the match, the Women’s champion Gail Kim came down and talked smack to Layla.  Velvet took advantage of the distraction to nail a reverse bulldog and roll up Layla for the pin.  Velvet Sky will be going on to meet Gail Kim at the PPV.

We cut to a vignette of Cactus Jackie hanging out at a pool but she is all dressed up.  “When you’re the Diva’s champion, you always have to look your best.  That is why, even at poolside, I am all class.  No one can touch the awesomeness that I exude.  None of the other women in the HWF or CSWA can hold a candle to me.  I am the greatest champion to ever set foot in the ring.”  While this is going on, Ravishing Raquel sneaks up behind Jackie and kicks her squarely in the butt sending her flailing into the water.  Raquel smiles and says “See you at the Clash, bitch.”  Jackie is spitting water and is furious.  As the camera fades out, a kid throws her a baseball and in makes a big splash right next to her further exasperating her mood.

The first of our qualifying matches puts the Undead Warrior vs the A-Team’s Antonio Cesaro.  Cesaro is beating the tar out of the Undead Warrior until Bray Wyatt came out.  Undead warrior sees him and is filled with inspiration.  He then sends Cesaro to the outside where he tombstone piledrives him on the floor. Antonio is out cold.  Undead Warrior rolls back in and wins and advances via CO.

Next on the card  is A-Team member and North American Champion Alberto Del Rio vs King Damian Sandow for the title.  Cesaro limps back out along with Austin Aries.  Sandow is looking for the rest of Prestige Inc but they are nowhere to be found.  The A-Team triple team Sandow and 7 minutes later, Del Rio gets the win.   We cut to the back and we see Reid and Magnus break through a door (they presumably were locked in) and rush to the ring.  Reid and Magnus rush down to the ring and the A-Team bails.  Prestige Inc challenges the A-team to a match but A-team does not yet accept.  We’ll need to see what transpires next.

In the back, Alberto Del Rio runs into the World’s Strongest Man Mark Henry and Henry tells Del Rio to watch where he’s going.  Del Rio doesn’t like Henry’s tone so he tells him to back off before he (Alberto) does something to Henry that he (Henry) won’t like.  Henry challenges him for the title at Clash and tells Alberto to put his mouth where his title is.

Next up is AJ styles vs Curtis Axel to see who meets Christopher Daniels for the US Title.  In just 4 short minutes, Axel, tired of getting his ass handed to him, walks out of the match resulting in a count out.  AJ is going to the Clash.

Following this is the next qualifying match with John Cena taking on the Axe. Cena totally underestimated his opponent and Axe took advantage of it.  After an exhausting 8 minutes, Axe nails Cena with ‘the Axe’ and gets the 1-2-3.  Axe is advancing and will meet the Undead Warrior in the main event.

The Internet Media Champion and Prestige Inc member Magnus comes out and calls out Tajiri.  Tajiri runs in from the crowd and attacks Magnus briefly before running away.  Magnus recovers and challenges him to a match at the PPV.  Tajiri accepts.

Our second to last match is the Mexicali Flyers vs the Dudley Boys for a shot at the tag team titles at the PPV.  In just 7 minutes, the Dudley’s get the gin after Tornado en Fuego goes flying over the top rope and crashes hard on the floor resulting in a countout.  The Dudley Boys will be meeting VamChango for the World Tag Team titles.

In the main event, the Undead Warrior took on the Axe.  Unbeknownst to the Undead Warrior, Bray Wyatt mad his way down to the ring.  When Undead Warrior finally realized someone was there, he looked up but what he saw made his eyes go wide.  He was looking at…Paul Bearer (RIP)!  What the hell?  ‘Paul’ leans over and says “Remember who you are…remember who you are.”  Undead Warrior shakes his head and there is Bray Wyatt yelling “Remember who you are, Undead Warrior.  Get the job done.”  In 12 minutes, Undead Warrior gets the win after hitting the Last Ride.  Axe went toe to toe with UW from the beginning of the match but then ran out of gas (apparently his win over Cena exhausted him).  Undead Warrior is going to the semi-finals for the CSWA World Title.  At our next show, we will have the #1 Seed Alberto Del Rio taking on the #4 seed Undead Warrior and the #2 seed Jeff Hardy taking on #3 seed Dirk ‘the Pick’ Devon.

HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2014 – 08.02

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter. Today’s show comes to you LIVE from Kansas City, MO – the home of Master Bull/Centurion.  Before the show can begin, we see Centurion (who gets a huge pop from the KC crowd) approach Hogan’s office.  He walks in without being invited in.  Centurion tells Hogan that this is HIS town and HE is performing in the main event so Hogan had best find him an opponent.  Hogan tells Centurion that he is in luck.  “It just so happens, brother that the European title held by Jay Lethal needs to be defended.  You and he can have a match and the winner gets the title.  Good luck, Brother.”  Centurion furrows his brow at Hogan wondering what he is up to but just nods and walks out.   Hogan then picks up the phone and closes the door on the cameraman. 

The first match of the night is CWO member Dirk “the Pick” Devon taking on the monster Abyss.  Dirk was accompanied by his partner The Axe.  At first Dirk didn’t want to get in the ring with him but relented after a pep talk from the Axe.  In a very surprising move, Dirk owned Abyss.  He never let the monster get much in for offense.  Right about the 13 minute mark, Dirk went to talk to Axe and it looked like something was slipped into Dirk’s elbow pad.  Dirk then charged and nailed a clothesline and Abyss looked to be out cold.  Dirk made the cover and got the win.  Dirk moves on in the tournament.

Next on the card is the second tournament match with AJ Styles taking on Daniel Bryan.  In a very surprising match, this one only goes 5 minutes with Daniel Bryan getting the win after nailing a missile dropkick.  The final between Bryan and Dirk Devon will be later in the show.

Next on the card is our tag team match that is a tables match with the Dudleys taking on RVD and Ryback.  Hogan said that the winner of this match will be in line for a tag team title shot.  Before the match could begin, Bubba got on the mic and said that the specialty type has changed slightly and now this is an ECW rules match.  Rob smiled but Ryback looked worried.

Rob and Ryback owned the Dudleys until the final moments of the match.  A quick tag out to Rob and as he was going for the 5 star frog splash, Devon and Bubba nailed a 3D through a table.  Devon takes out Ryback and Bubba makes the cover and gets the pin.  The Dudleys are now contenders for the Tag team titles held by VamChango and that they will take their match at Clash of the Champions.  This brought out the #1 contenders the Mexicali Flyers.  The Flyers said that they should in fact be getting the match at the clash but issue a challenge to the Dudleys.  If the Flyers win, they get the title shot and if the Dudley’s win, they do.  Both parties agreed and shook hands.

Next on the card is Shield member Roman Reigns vs Captain Charisma Christian.  In a very dominating performance, Reigns took the match to the former champion and in 11 minutes, gets the win after hitting a powerbomb.  I would be very surprised if Reigns wasn’t going after a title very soon.

Dirk and Daniel Bryan come out next for their match.  Dirk tried to complain to the ref about fighting so soon and not getting enough rest but the ref shoved him and told him to man up.  Dirk did, in fact, man up as he totally dominated Daniel Bryan but try as he could, he could not pin Daniel.  The match was closing in on the 30 minute time limit and Dirk was running out of steam.  The clock on the wall started counting down the remaining seconds and Dirk, in a desperate act, caught Bryan in a Tama Bearhug and lowered the shoulders to the mat.  The ref makes the count and with only seconds to spare, Dirk Devon gets the win.  The Axe comes out to celebrate with his partner and they leave with Dirk’s arms raised in victory.

In the back, Hogan stops Roman Reigns and congratulates him on such a great performance.  “For that, brother, I think you should get a title shot.  In fact, I think you are the perfect opponent for X-Division Champion Casey Jones.  At the Clash, you get a shot at gold.”  Reigns nodded his thanks and left.

The main event of the evening is home town hero Centurion taking on Jay Lethal for the European title.  Hogan came out and said that this would have a 60 minute time limit and the no count out rule would be in effect.   Before the match could begin, HWF and Undisputed Champion Bray Wyatt came out accompanied by the Warrior of Truth and the Super Warrior.  Centurion, filled with the energy of the KC crowd and well as the Roman Warriors of the past, took the match to the champ and blew the roof off the house.  Lethal had no idea how to stop him.  Towards the end, Lethal nails a double axe handle smash but then gets dumped out of the ring.  Had there been the countout rule in place, Lethal would have been counted out.  Instead, he used the extra time to gather his bearings and climbed to the top turnbuckle to execute the flying elbow smash.  He waited a second too long as Centurion popped up and nailed a one-arm chokeslam and PINNED the champ.  HOLY CRAP – Centurion just won the European Title.  Bray and the Warriors got in the ring with Centurion and they all celebrated as balloons and confetti fell from the ceiling.

HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2014 – 08.01

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  Today we come to you from Wichita, KS.  Our next PPPV, Clash of the Champions, will be coming to you live from Denver, CO.  Hulk Hogan makes his appearance and lets everyone know that every person with a title will be defending it at the PPV as well as the crowning of the new CSWA champion.  In action today, Reid Rothchild is defending the Elitist title, VamChango are defending the tag team titles, Diva’s champion Cactus Jackie will be on hand for an interview and we have the next batch of qualifiers for the CSWA World title tournament.

The first match of the night is for the Tag Team titles with the champions, representatives of the 719 Cartel VamChango taking on Team HP consisting of Bran-Don-Goh and Casey Jones.  This one goes 26 minutes and sees a great performance from both teams.  In the end, El Chango nails Casey Jones with a spear and makes the cover.  VamChango retain the titles.

Next up is our first in the qualifying matches with “the Man” Austin Aries taking on Chris Jericho.  This one doesn’t go very long after Aries, who was accompanied by the A-Team, sent his partners to the back.  Jericho managed to lock Aries in the Walls of Jericho and got “the Man” to tap out in 3 minutes.  Chris Jericho advances.

In the back, Diva’s Champion Cactus Jackie is being interviewed and she, of course, is slamming the previous champion Ravishing Raquel.  Raquel walks up and tells Jackie to put up or shut up.  She is challenging Jackie to a match at Clash of the Champions.  Jackie, on the spot and not wanting to look weak, accepts.  As Raquel is leaving, Jackie attacks her and locks her in the Cactus Stretch.  Eventually she lets go.  “You want to call me out, bitch?  Fine, now you get to experience what it feels like to continue to be a loser.”  Jackie walks away as medics come in to check on Raquel.

Next on the card is the Elitist Reid Rothchild defending the Elitist title against David Otunga.  This one goes an exhausting 20 minutes that sees Reid retain after nailing Otunga with a Rothchild stunner.  After the match, Alexander Rusev runs in and blasts Reid.  He locks him in a Bulgarian bearhug until Reid passes out.  He then drops Reid and announces he is challenging for the Elitist title at Clash of the Champions.  He picks up Reid and after grabbing his hair, shakes his head “yes” to show he accepted.  Looks like we have ourselves another match.

We have our next qualifying match with the Olympic Hero Kurt Angle taking on the Enigma Jeff Hardy.  Kurt was in control for a full 7 minutes but then lost his concentration.  Hardy capitalized and nailed a swanton bomb to secure a win. 

HWF World Champion Bray Wyatt comes out and says that there is one man he wants to face at Clash and that is Batista.  Batista hasn’t been seen in a while so he wants to make him “relevant” again.  He reminds us that Dave necessarily isn’t the top contender so there is a stipulation to this specialty match - if Dave loses, he must become part of Wyatt’s Warriors.  He asks Batista to come out and give his answer. Dave comes out to the cheering of the fans and accepts the match.  Dave tells Bray to bring his best game because he is the one walking out with the title unless Bray can figure out how to stop him.  Both men eventually leave.

Our second to last match is Chris Jericho taking on Jeff Hardy to see who will win this bracket.  Here was another match where Y2J controlled the tempo of the match but a moment lapse in concentration and Jericho was on the outside of the ring.  Hardy nails a suicide dive and plants Jericho into the ringside barrier.  He rolls back in beating the 10 count.  Jeff Hardy gets to move on.

The main event of the evening is Bray Wyatt’s first title defense against the All-American Jack Swagger.  Bray reminds Swagger that all his matches are specialty and that he had best work hard to fight for it.   Swagger says he wants a boot camp match and the champ obliges.  The match goes 16 minutes and is dominated by the champ.  The end comes after Bray executes the Drop and give foe 20 pushups.  Bray is successful in his first title defense.

HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2014 – 07.09

***Note, this was supposed to be posted in July but without Internet access, it got delayed***

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  Our final show for the month of July took place in Tucson, AZ.  The Hulkster makes his way out and informs the fans (in this god-awful furnace) that today’s event will have the first bracket in determining a new CSWA World Champion.  Also in action will be Alexander Rusev taking on “the Elitist” Reid Rothchild, Wyatt’s Warrior member Centurion taking on Psycho Jack Hercules, and many other surprises.  Hulk didn’t have his “meat shield” with him so he opted not to badmouth the city of Tucson.  His message was short and sweet and we were able to get right on to the matches.

Jerking the curtain is Centurion vs Psycho Jack.  Psycho Jack controlled the entire match as I think Centurion’s mind was elsewhere.  It only took 8 minutes for Jack to finish off Centurion with the Shower Slasher.  Centurion left immediately after the match.

In the back, roving reporter Clarkus Kentus was trying to interview RVD and Ryback when they were interrupted by the Dudley’s.  Ryback and Rob gloated about their win over such a veteran team such as the Dudleys.  Rob said they could beat them again anywhere in any kind of match and Bubba Ray offered to make their next match a tables match.  Rob spoke up for the dumbstruck Ryback and agreed.  The Dudleys walked away and Ryback questioned what his partner was up to.  “Hey man, it’s ok.   You know, its 4:20 somewhere and I got “someone” to go meet.  Catch ya later partner.”  Rob left and Ryback just stood there looking confused.

The first qualifying match is up next with Seed #1 Samoa Joe taking on #4 Randy Orton.  Typical Orton cheating for 2 minutes then he tossed Joe out of the ring.  He nailed an RKO on the floor and Joe got counted out.  Samoa Joe was pissed.  The fans began to chant “Joe’s gonna kill you” and Randy looked a little scared so he bolted to the back followed by the Samoan.

The next match is #2 seed Rey Mysterio taking on #3 seed Alberto Del Rio.  Del Rio came out with the A-Team to make sure that Rey didn’t try anything funny.  Del Rio was getting his ass handed to him until about 10 minutes in.  Rey tossed Alberto out of the ring and the leader of the A-team “The Man” Austin Aries pulled Del Rio aside to give him some advice.  Aries walked around to the other side of the ring drawing the attention of the ref.  Antonio Cesaro grabbed a chair and nailed Rey in the arm with it.  Del Rio jumped back in the ring and locked in the rolling cross armbreaker.  Rey taps out giving the win to Del Rio.  By this time, 719 cartel members the Mexicali Flyers and VamChango ran down and chased off the A-Team.  They helped Rey to his feet and they all left together.

The Internet Media Champion and Prestige Inc member Magnus made his way down to the ring.  Magnus talked about all the great IM champs that have come and gone and he is sure to be remembered as one of the greats.  He is then interrupted by….Tajiri!  Holy Cow – Tajiri has come to the CSWA and HWF.  Tajiri motions he wants a match against Magnus and the champ obliges.  Magnus controls the match and in 17 minutes is able to secure a pin after hitting an armwringer.  After the match, Tajiri walked up to him and shook his hand…and then superkicked him.  The champ was stunned.  Tajiri went to the top rope and nailed a flying legdrop.  He brushed himself off and walked out.  The fans didn’t know what to think so the crowd was quite quiet.

Alexander Rusev made his way out to the ring and continued his bash against America.  Reid Rothchild began to make his way out when the All-American Jack Swagger came out.  Swagger said he was tired of sitting in the back listening to this chump run his mouth.  He asked Reid if he could have this match.  Reid said “Be my guest.”  Swagger runs down only to be met by Rusev who powerslams him on the steel steps.  It looks like Swagger is really hurt.  Rusev tosses Jack in the ring and after the bell is rung, stands on Swagger’s back inflicting more pain.  He then picks him up and locks him in a bearhug and Jack submits.  Rusev drops him like a wet burlap sack and then continues to taunt Reid.  Reid gets in the ring only for Rusev to jump out the other side and head back up the ramp.  This one may be coming to a boiling point sooner rather than later.

Our second to last match is for the Intercontinental title with the champion Dolph Ziggler taking on Kazarian.  Ziggler maintained control of the match and after Kaz got distracted, Dolph finished him off in 12 minutes with a fireman’s carry.  Dolph was leaving when Kaz asked about the ‘best of 3 falls’ rule.  Hogan came out and told Kaz that he was changing that rule and only when the belt is on the line at a PPV will that rule be enforced going forward.  Kaz tried to complain but no one wanted to hear it.

Our main event and the finals of our first bracket are Alberto Del Rio taking on Randy Orton.  Here was another match where Alberto was getting his ass kicked until the A-Team came back out.  Orton yelled at the ref to make sure they stay out of his match.  Alberto reached into his tights and pulled out a foreign object and nailed Randy in the back of the head with it.  He then picked him up and executed a falling powerbomb 6 minutes into the match.  With a little hook of the tights, Alberto gets the 1-2-3 and is the winner of his bracket.  Alberto Del Rio gets to move forward.  Austin Aries and Antonio Cesaro join him in the ring and they celebrate much to the dismay of the fans.

HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2014 – 07.07

Hello fans and welcome back to the HWF and CSWA wrestling newsletter.  Today’s episode comes to you from a taped event in El Paso, TX.  The show begins with GM Hulk Hogan making his typical address to the crowd.  “The Hulkster is in the house, brother.  Also in the house are new talents that I have signed from all over the globe.  They are the new blood being infused into the CSWA and HWF.  You saw on the last show the return of Devon Dudley.  Devon is back on the active roster. I am also pleased to announce the new additions of Adam Rose, Sami Zayne, Kenta Kobiashi, Ethan Carter III and Sanada.  .  This new blood get to showcase their talents against my CWO so we’ll see how good they actually are.  Also tonight will be a qualifying match between Batista and Abyss.  In our main event, the Undead Warrior gets one more shot.  He has to win this one if he wants in to the CSWA World title tournament.  His opponent will be announced later tonight.  With that out of the way, let’s get this show started.” (Editors’ note:  There was very little reaction from the El Paso crowd.  I guess they’re just happy to be out of the heat of the Texas sun).

The first match of the night is A-Team member Alberto Del Rio taking on Ethan Carter III.  The announcer only ended up referring to him as Ethan Carter and he took obvious offense to it.  “THE THIRD.  Ethan Carter THE THIRD.  Get it RIGHT!”  EC3 took the match to the Latino aristocrat and after a brief beatdown from Del Rio, EC3 controlled the entire match.  Fortunately for Del Rio, the 20 minute time limit bell rang and he took off to avoid any further beating.  The crowd chanted “EC3, EC3. EC3”.  He shook hands with the fans before heading to the back.

Match #2 is Adam Rose (accompanied to the ring by assorted fans called the ‘Rosebuds’) taking on Dirk “the Pick” Devon.  Here is another match where the CWO did not represent well.  Rose beat the Pick from pillar to post and in the few remaining seconds, Dirk looked up to see the time limit almost expiring and he breathed a sigh of relief.  However, it was too soon as Rose nailed a Samoan driver and scored a pin just before the time limit ran out.  Pick rolled out of the ring and slinked his way to the back.  Rose and the rosebuds celebrated with the fans and then also left.

In the back, Aries and Cesaro were heckling Del Rio for not being able to take out a newbie.  In fact, both Aries and Cesaro told Del Rio they would get the job done and before the time limit could expire.  They even heckled the Pick as he was slinking by.  He turned and gave them the finger which only incited them more.  Hogan walked over and told them to cut it out.  “Cesaro, you are up next.  Do us proud.”  He patted Antonio on the back as he made his way to the ring.

Match #3 is Antonio Cesaro taking on Sanada.  Cesaro was underprepared from the onslaught that Sanada brought forth.  Antonio did manage to make it to 18 minutes but fell victim to a well-executed Dragon Suplex and Sanada got the win.  Antonio took the walk of shame to the back preparing himself for heckling from his teammates while Sanada took off through the crowd.

Match #4 is the Axe taking on Sami Zayn.  This had to be the most embarrassing match of the night with Zayn totally dominating the Axe.  It only took 10 minutes for Zayn to hit a Three Quarter nelson Suplex and the newcomer gets his first win.  Axe, however, was not happy and tried to attack Zayn after the bell but after an exploding Suplex, Axe tucked his tail between his legs and left.  Zayn celebrated with the fans before making his way back.

In the back, Aries is heckling everybody.  “Man, do I have to be the only one who can win a match for our team?  You know what?  I’ll do Hogan proud and score the one and only win for the CWO since the rest of you couldn’t seem to get the job done.  Watch a professional do it.”  Cesaro stopped him. “One sec.  You are doing all the heckling but you haven’t won anything yet.  If you are so confident in your abilities, how about a wager?  If you win, you can be the official leader of the A-Team.”  Del Rio nodded in acknowledgement.  “However, If you lose, you need to do something degrading….like wrestle in a dress.”  Aries laughed a hearty laugh.  “Is that the best you could come up with?  Fine but once I win, you will refer to me as ‘the Man’ Austin Aries.”  Aries left to head to the ring.

Match #5 is Austin Aries taking on Kenta Kobiashi.  Aries showed the newcomer why he was chosen by Hogan to be a member of the A-Team.  Kenta gave him a run for his money but in the end of 18 minutes, Aries nailed the Aries 450 to score the pin.  Confetti and balloons fall from the ceiling as Aries celebrates his win.  He even instructed the announcer to call him ‘the Man’ Austin Aries.

Match #6 is a qualifying match between Batista and Abyss.  This was a short match that saw Abyss get the win in 4 minutes.  Abyss and Batista were fighting on the outside of the ring and Abyss chokeslammed him on the floor.  He then rolled back in to barely beat the 10 count.  Batista stays in the HWF and Abyss is part of the World title tourney for the CSWA World title.

Match #7 was supposed to be Gail Kim vs Ravishing Raquel but after Gail made her way to the ring and then no Raquel came out, she told the ref to ring the bell and DQ Raquel.  The ref made it up to 8 before a bloody Raquel makes her way out to the ring followed by doctors.  Gail bails out of the ring and is smiling.   Hulk Hogan makes his way out and says that champions should not be cowards and instead of Raquel getting a non-title match, at the next show, she gets a title shot.  Gail is not happy.

The main event of the evening is the Undead Warrior taking on ??? for an entry spot for the CSWA World title.  Undead Warrior makes his way out followed by Bray Wyatt and the rest of the Warriors – Centurion, Super Warrior and the Warrior of Truth.  Hogan comes out and says that Undead Warrior’s opponent will be…HIM.  That’s right, Hogan is stepping back into the ring and will put the Undead Warrior to rest once and for all.  “Hang on a sec brother…I just remembered…I’m not cleared to wrestle at all.” This brought booing and hissing from each and every fan in the building…it was deafening.  “Shut your pie holes.” Hogan yelled back at them.  Hogan called for his Meat Shield when debris started flying his way.   “I’m going to be a nice guy and give an HWF’r a chance to qualify for the CSWA title.  Bobby Lashley, the fight is yours.  If you win, you are in the tourney.”  Lashley nodded and started to make his way to the ring when Brock Lesnar ran out and beat down on Bobby including throwing him into the ring side steps.  Lesnar grabbed a mic and said that if anyone is getting a shot here, it is HIM.  Lashley was up and nailed a spear on Brock.  Both men started pounding the stuffing out of each other when Hogan’s Meat Shield ran down to separate them.  Hogan got back on the mic “Neither of you are in so I’ll find someone else.”  Batista came out and told Hulk he wanted the shot at the Undead Warrior.  Hogan agreed and Batista went to the ring.

The first fall goes to Batista who in 13 minutes put Undead Warrior down with a powerslam.  The second fall goes to the Undead Warrior who got the pin in 15 minutes after locking in a throat choke.  The match goes another 18 minutes and even though Hogan tried to distract Undead Warrior, Bray Wyatt and his Warriors prevented Hogan from interfering in the match.  In a dominating finish, Undead Warrior nails Batista with the Last Ride and scores the final pin.  Undead Warrior is in the tournament for the CSWA World title – a title Hogan wrongfully stripped him of.  Undead Warrior stares at Hogan and drags his thumb across his neck.  Hogan’s eyes go wide for a brief moment and then he and his meat shield head to the back.  Undead Warrior, along with Bray and team, celebrated in the ring as the show comes to a close.

HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2014 – 07.06

Hello fans and welcome back to our latest show coming to you from Oklahoma City, OK.  The card today is action packed and with no Hulk Hogan on site (I think Brock scared the shit out of him), we can move right on to the matches.

The first match of the evening is Conan Jones vs Alexander Rusev.  This one only goes 2 minutes and sees Rusev get counted out after Reid Rothchild came down and hit the Bulgarian with a steel chair.  Reid said “How ‘bout them apples?” before he walked off.

Next up is a placement match between the CWO’s Pick and the Axe against the Cartel’s Mexicali Flyers.  The match goes 19 minutes with Pick and the Axe dominating the Cartel members.  The end came after Dirk Devon locked El Dragon Insano in a bearhug and then used that to pin him.  After the match, Tornado en Fuego hit multiple Tornado blasts on Pain in the Ass and eliminated them from the ring.  They were none too happy and I don’t think this one is over.

Up next is Ravishing Raquel taking on Natalya Neidhart for an upcoming shot at Gail Kim’s Women’s title.  The match went 15 minutes that saw Natalya get the win due to outside interference from Gail Kim.  The ref saw it but it was too late to stop the 3 count but after sending Gail from the ring, asked the two women if they wanted to continue.  Both said yes.  2 minutes later, Nattie is tapping out to the Ravishing Chickenwing.  Ravishing Raquel will go on to meet Gail Kim at a later date.

The next match is Prestige Inc vs A-Team for 6 man tag team placement.  This one goes 24 minutes which sees interference from the Bulgarian Alexander Rusev.  Rusev nailed Magnus with a chair and Aries capitalized on it after turning a front facelock into a pin.  Rusev took off after the attack to avoid any retaliation from Prestige Inc.

Our qualifying match is Big Show taking on Batista.  In 15 minutes, Big Show retains his spot after nailing a chokeslam.  Big Show remains in the CSWA while Batista remains in the HWF.

The main event of this show is Undead Warrior vs ???  Undead Warrior makes his way to the ring along with Bray Wyatt and waits for the challenger.  Music hits and it’s none other than the Viper, Randy Orton.  The ref is reading off of cue cards and says that GM Hulk Hogan has decreed that this match will be a best of 3 falls; 60 minute time limit.  GM Hogan (in the cue cards) says that Orton’s spot is not in jeopardy.  In 15 minutes, Undead Warrior hits the Last Ride and he’s up one fall.  The next fall goes 7 minutes and Orton takes control.  In the final few seconds, Orton is tossed out of the ring and Bray Wyatt nails Orton in the head with his HWF World title.  Orton gets counted out and Undead Warrior is one step closer to getting his title back.

HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2014 – 07.05

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  Today’s episode is pre-recorded from Dallas, TX.  The show begins with GM Hulk Hogan announcing that the Undead Warrior will in get a shot at regaining his title but he must face 2 current CSWA title qualifiers over the next 2 shows.  One loss and he is out of the running.  Those competitors will be announced later.

Today’s show is chock full of CSWA title qualifying matches.  The first kicking off today’s show is Christian taking on Daniel Bryan.  The match goes 9 minutes and Bryan (the underdog in this match) locks in the “Yes Lock” and gets Captain Charisma to tap out.  Daniel Bryan moves to the CSWA and Christian to the HWF.

The Women’s Champion Gail Kim come out to the ring.  She issues an open challenge to any female competitor in the back.  4 women come out – Ravishing Raquel, Spider Violet, ODB and Natalya Neidhart.  Gail says she will offer a title shot to the winner of these 4 women.  Hogan makes his way out and makes Raquel vs Violet and ODB vs Natalya.  The winner of these matches will meet at the next show and the winner of those will get the shot at Gail’s title.

The second match of the evening is Ravishing Raquel taking on Spider Violet.  In a quick 4 minute bout, Raquel locks Violet in the Ravishing Chickenwing and the Spider taps out.  Raquel moves up and Violet is out.

The 3^rd match is our second women’s match with ODB vs Natalya Neidhart.  In a crazy 12 minute match, we saw ODB hit Natalya with the Dirty Dozen but it is reversed and Nattie locks in the sharpshooter and ODB taps out.  Nattie will go on to face Raquel at the next show.

Our first title match is up next with X-Division champion Casey Jones taking on Goldust.  The first fall goes to the champ after he hit Goldust with an avalanche drop in just 6 minutes.  The second fall goes to Goldust after a 21 minute fight.  The third fall goes another 20 minutes and this time, Casey battled like a man on a mission.  Casey gets the 3^rd fall after hitting Goldust with a chairshot to the head.  Casey Jones retains his title.

We cut to the back where we see Reid and Raquel talking strategy for her next match against Natalya when Alexander Rusev runs in and attacks Reid.  The attack is short lived as Raquel hits Rusev with a chair and King Damian Sandow and Magnus run in and Rusev tucks his tail between his legs and takes off.  Reid yells back at him saying if he wants to get in the ring, all he has to do is ask.

Our next qualifying match is Samoa Joe taking on Ryback.  This match was such a waste as nothing happened.  30 seconds into the match, Joe and Ryback are battling on the outside of the ring.  Joe, the ring veteran, rolls back in the ring just as the ref counts to 10.  Samoa Joe gets the win via Countout.  Joe moves to the CSWA and Ryback to the HWF.

Hulk Hogan makes his way back out to the ring.  Hogan says that he has picked who Undead Warriors opponents will be but he makes the ‘executive decision’ to NOT say who.  He says that it needs to remain a mystery until the actual match takes place.  The fans boo and Hogan flips them off and leaves.

While in the back, Hogan says he wants to see more from Bully Ray and RVD so he tells both men to pick tag team partners and head to the ring.

Our second to last match is a tag team match with RVD and Bully Ray both picking tag team partners for this battle.  RVD comes out first and then introduces his partner -  the newly arrived RYBACK.  Bully makes his way out and then stops to introduce his partner – none other than DEVON DUDLEY!  The Dudley’s are back together.  The fans crazy pop.  Even though one of the greatest tag teams of all time – the Dudley’s – were back together, there was some obvious rust as Bully has been wrestling singles for some time.  RVD and Ryback were a well-oiled machine.  RVD and Ryback controlled the majority of the match until a 3D on RVD and Ryback brought that momentum to an end.  The Dudley’s did what they do best – double team -  and eventually put Ryback through a table to score the pin at the 24 minute mark.  The Dudley’s are HOT.  After the match, RVD nails Bully with a VanDaminator and Ryback hits a spear on Devon.  I think we have the makings of a great feud here.

The main event of the evening will be our blockbuster qualifying match.   Former World Champions Brock Lesnar and Rey Mysterio Jr will fight it out for a chance to win World title gold once again.  The time limit on this one was also extended to 30 minutes to give both men a solid chance.  Rey controlled the tempo of the match and his speed was more than a match for the brute force from Lesnar.  In 18 minutes, Rey gets the win after Brock was attacked by Bobby Lashley and Brock was counted out as he battled Lashley all the way to the back. 

In the back, Brock is going ape-shit again.  He storms into Hogan’s office and demands that Hogan put him and Lashley in a cage.  He says he will finish Bobby once and for all.  Hogan actually looked a little scared.

HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2014 – 07.04

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  This episode’s show took place in Houston, TX.  GM Hulk Hogan started off the show and gave props to Psycho Jack Hercules for doing such a fantastic job while he was out.   Hogan stated that he did in fact have a major announcement but that it would have to wait till later in the show.  First, he wanted to address the issue with Alberto Del Rio.  He calls Alberto out and berates him for losing the title.  Alberto stood there and took the abuse.  After Hogan was done with his rant, Alberto said he would do better next time…promise.  Hogan excused him.  “Now, on to other business.  I do really want what is best for business so I’m willing to let 2 HWF’rs have a stand off and one of them will head back to the CSWA and will be entered into the World title tourney.  Those two men will be in our main event for the evening but all the cowpokes here will have to wait to see who they are.  You damn rednecks don’t deserve any better.”  The crowd got so angry that they started throwing stuff at the GM who had to make a hasty retreat or be covered in beer and nachos.

Santino Marella makes his way out and into the ring.  “It is with sadness and heaviness of heart that I must announce my retirement from the sport.  I have enjoyed my time in the CSWA and HWF  and a little sad that I didn’t win more titles but what can you do, huh?  Thank you everyone…”  He is cut off as Hogan makes his way out but is hiding behind a bunch of security guards.  “Meat Shield, stay put.  Santino, you don’t get to decide when you are done; that is my job.  But I will give you one option brother.  You fight one more match.  If you win, you get to quit on your terms.  If you lose, you will be here FOREVER until I am done with you.  Your opponent will be this man…”  Hogan turns and out comes the bounty hunter Psycho Jack Hercules.  Jack shakes Hogan’s hand and makes his way to the ring.  “Oh, one more thing…No DQ.”  Out comes the A-Team and Pick and the Axe and they all head to the ring and surround it.

In just over 12 minutes into our first match, Santino nails a battering ram and pins Psycho Jack.  This of course brings in the entire CWO and they all beat down on Santino.   Prestige Inc run down to the ring along with the Dust Brothers – Goldust and Stardust.  The CWO is cleared out of the ring and the faces help Santino to his feet.  He thanks the fans again and leaves with his entourage. 

In the back, Hogan is pissed about Prestige Inc and the Dust Brothers interfering.  Hogan puts a match together for the Dust Brothers vs Pick and the Axe with the winner moving up the tag team rankings.

Our next match is a qualifier for the CSWA World title.  First out comes Kevin Steen followed by the All American Jack Swagger.  Steen controlled the entire match but could not keep Swaggers shoulders to the mat for a full 3 seconds.  In the last few seconds, Steen hits a moonsault and connects but the time limit expires before the count is completed.  Swagger remains in the HWF but Steen also moves over.

Next up is Diva’s Champion Cactus Jackie taking on Fusion Valentine in a non-title match.  In only 2 ½ minutes, Fusion gets counted out and Jackie gets the Countout win.

Since the last match was so short, Hogan added a new match which was next.

Hogan picked two people at random and sent them out.  There were Robbie E and Bran-Don-Goh.  We hadn’t seen B in a while so it’s good he’s getting some air time.  If that last match wasn’t short enough, this one was even shorter…only 2 moves executed.  Robbie E hits a kneelift to the gut and B executes a stepover toehold facelock.  Robbie E taps out immediately.  Bran-Don-Goh gets the win in only :45 seconds.

The next match on the card is another qualifier.  This one has Bully Ray vs Wade Barrett.  This one also went the distance with the match ending in a time limit draw.  Barrett stays put and Bully Ray moves to the HWF.

Following this was the match Hogan made up earlier in the evening – Pick and the Axe taking on the Dust Brothers.  Goldust and Stardust made their way to the ring first followed by Hogan’s cronies.  In 17 minutes, Dirk catches Stardust in a Tama bearhug and just as Cody was passing out, Dirk dropped him and made the pin.  Pick and the Axe move up in the tag team rankings.

Our second to last match is a title match with Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler taking on Professor Cobra.  In 2 minutes, Dolph hits the Zig Zag bulldog on Cobra for the first fall.  7 minutes later, the Professor hits the King Cobra diving headbutt to lock in the second fall.  The third fall was controlled by Ziggler and in 28 minutes, hits a handstand headlock for his best of 3 falls and is still the Intercontinental Champion.

Hulk Hogan comes out one more time with his meat shield and says he considers allowing the Undead Warrior to participate in the tourney but only if he can beat 2 men of Hogan’s choosing.  This of course brings out the Undead warrior and Bray Wyatt.  Undead Warrior agrees to the stipulation.  Hogan says he will announce who Undead Warrior’s opponents will be at a future show.  Undead Warrior tells Hogan that it is not over between the two of them and Hogan will pay the ultimate price…he just doesn’t know it yet.  Bray laughs and Hogan looks on nervously.

Tonight’s Main Event will allow one man to potentially move back to the CSWA: Bobby Lashley vs Chris Jericho and for this one, the time limit is extended to 30 minutes and is no DQ.  This one is disappointingly short.  4 minutes.  We do see interference from Brock who nails Bobby Lashley with a steel chair.  He throws Lashley back in where Jericho reluctantly takes advantage and locks Lashley in the Walls of Jericho.  Bobby taps out.  Chris Jericho gets to move to the CSWA and is now part of the World title tourney.
