Hello
fans and welcome back to another installment of the HCW Wrestling
Newsletter. Our upcoming PPV ‘Reign of
Champions’ is our one PPV of the year where every title in on the line. That’s right, we will have 8 solid matches so
we will be extending the show to a whopping 4 hours! Every champion needs their time to shine so
each match on the card will be given a 30 minute time limit. If a match(s) end early, that extra time will
be split among the other matches. We
have 4 hours and dad gum it, we’re going to use it all.
But
before we can get to the PPV, we still have 5 shows leading up to one of the
biggest shows of the year. Tonight, we
are on the road coming to you from Seattle, WA.
Dash Woodbrick said his car broke down (we think he’s lying) so he
couldn’t drive to Tacoma (refused to take an uber) so we brought the show
north. Texas Wildfire gets a rematch
against the Ragin Cajun King, Rad Gumbo with the US title on the line. Also, Violet Valkyrie defends the Ladies
title tonight. These, along with 3 other
matches will round out today’s show.
Without further ado, let’s get this show on the road.
Pyro
goes off and the fans turn sour when Dash Woodbrick comes out. He powerwalks to the ring and snatches the
microphone out of the announcer’s hand. He
says he is going first regardless of the line up as he has more important things
to do so he tells his opponent to get out there. The music changes and out comes Derek
Deveraux. Dash seems bored. “Really, this is who I get? Come on!”
Derek feels slighted and as soon as he’s in the ring, he nods for the
match to begin. Dash wasn’t ready and
Derek took full advantage of it. We join
the match at the 14 minute mark.

Woodbrick rolls out of the ring looking for Dennis who is now longer
there. He storms to the back. Derek Deveraux has his arm raised in victory
and he stays to celebrate before heading to the back.
Backstage,
Wilber Townsend and TNT surround Phantom Frank.
TNT asks if Frank is ready for an ass-whupping. Wilber says that Frank has no friends and if
they choose to beat him down now, no one will come to his aid. Just then, Casper Wyoming walks over with
Dennis Marshall. Casper says that if
Frank needs someone to watch his back, he’ll be there. Dennis says that he’s got both of their backs
but first, he has a match in the ring.
The trio wait until Wilber and TNT leave and then Dennis heads to the
ring.
Dennis
Marshall makes his way out to a nice pop from the crowd. He stopped to laugh on his way to the ring
after seeing a fan holding a sign that read “Dennis gave me a gift card too”. Dennis gave the fan a high five and continued
his way to the ring. Just as he entered
through the ropes, his music changed and we hear blaring “AAAATEEENNNNNSHUNNNNN
MAGGOTS” and out comes Col. Flag. The fans boo the crap out of him and he
responds with threatening to hit some of them.
He makes his way into the ring and then immediately gets into Dennis’
face yelling at him. The ref separates
the two and then starts the match.
Dennis started off huge hitting a legdrop from the top rope getting a 2
count. Dennis tried for it a second time
but Flagg was ready, caught him, and stunned him with a headbutt drop. Flagg hits a second hadbutt drop and Dennis
gets back to his feet peppering Flagg with hammering rights. Dennis connects with a double knee
facebreaker and goes for the pin but Flagg kicks out at 2. Flagg hits a snap suplex and a short arm
clothesline. Dennis stuns Flagg with
some MMA style strikes. Dennis locks in
the Figure Four headscissors and goes for a pin but Flagg makes it to the ropes
to break the hold. Dennis applied the
Figure Four headscissors again but Flagg wriggled out and made it to the floor
to try and regroup. Dennis hit the ropes
and went flying over the top rope crashing onto Flagg. Dennis rolled Flagg back in. Dennis hit the Brainbuster Elbow Smash and
made the cover hooking the leg and getting the 1-2-3. Dennis Marshall wins and the fans pop
huge. It’s shortlived as he is
blindsided by Dash Woodbrick and the two fight out of the ring and brawl all
the way up the stage. Dash hits Dennis
with a low blow and then does this unthinkable…he grabs Dennis, puts him into a
dumpster that just so happened to be sitting there and SHOVED the dumpster off
the stage crashing down below. HOLY S*IT
chants ring out. Dash stands there
laughing as medics tend to Dennis below.
Backstage,
Ladies Champion Violet Valkyrie walks into the building to a loud pop from the
crowd. Newcomer Penny Hall approaches
her and asks what she needs to do to get a match with the champ. Violet channels her inner ‘Hulk Hogan’ and
tells her to say her prayers, eat her veggies and take her vitamins and she can’t
go wrong. Penny thanks her before
SLAPPING her hard across the face. “No,
you know what it takes to get a title match around here? Attack the champ. I’ll see you in the ring bitch!” DAAAYYYYMMMMMM. Violet rubs her cheek and heads to her
dressing room.
We
head back to the ring for our next match.
First, the fans boo as Hardcore Champion Wilber Townsend and his brother
TNT make their way out. The fans booing
grows louder the closer Wilber and TNT got to the ring. Wilber takes a mic and tells the sheep to
shut up or they will be put to pasture much the same way Phantom Frank and
Casper Wyoming will be. The music
changes and out comes Casper Wyoming and Phantom Frank. They get a nice ovation as they make their
way to the ring. TNT and Wilber attack
Frank and toss Casper out of the ring.
Casper tries to get back in but is attacked by the Wicked Prophet. Prophet rams Casper’s head into the steel
post busting him open. Prophet takes off
and medics attend to Casper taking him to the back and leaving Frank on his
own. Frank held his own surprisingly
well but the constant tagging in and out by his opponents gave them the upper
hand. At the close of the 13th
minute, the crowd pops as Casper makes his way back to the ring with a bandaged
head. He jumps on the ring apron and
calls for the tag. An exhausted Frank
makes the hot tag and the fans pop huge.
Casper begins to clean house but TNT catches him and nails a press
slam. He goes for the pin but Casper
kicks out. A few minutes later, Casper
catches TNT with a superkick and goes for the pin but TNT kicks out. We join the match at the 23 minute mark. Casper has been in the ring now for 10 minutes.

After
30 minutes, the match is declared a draw.
The
two teams continue to brawl and the action spills out of the ring and the 4 men
fight all the way to the back.
Just
then, Madman Mason and the Ambassador make their way to the ring. The Ambassador gets on the mic and calls out
Tobias Snake. Tobias comes out
alone. The Ambassador says that Tobias
wanted the Madman one on one in a no DQ match.
“Well here he is. However, you
don’t seem too reluctant to face him.”
Tobias has a mic. “You see, the
thing about a snake in the grass is that you never know where they’ll
strike. They pick and choose their
moment and when they’re ready, they strike.
I’m ready.” He drops the mic and
rushes to the ring. The Ambassador bails
to the safety of the outside of the ring.
Mason starts off with an Overhead
Belly to Belly Suplex and Tobias nails a snap elbow drop. Tobias jumps on Mason’s back and starts
blasting him with mounted punches. He then takes him to the top turnbuckle
setting him up and nails a double underhook suplex. Both men come crashing to the mat. Tobias hits a running crossbody but the
Ambassador has had enough and eye gouges Tobias. This move draws out the other members of the Snake
Pit who were lying in wait. They end up
chasing the Ambassador to the back but then return and help Tobias. Collectively, the three men did a fist bump
in the ring before picking up Mason for a 3-Man powerbomb. Leiton and Niven leave the ring.

and it’s over. Tobias gets the win. Just then, Devastation Inc come running
out. The Snake Pit take off through the
crowd as Fang, Morningstar and Azrael glare at them from the ring. Dr. Red Fang screams (like fingernails on a
chalkboard…its earsplitting). They end
up helping Mason to his feet and help him to the back. Devastation Inc is NOT finished with the
Snake Pit; not by a long shot.
Backstage,
Ladies Champion Violet Valkyrie walks into GM Max McGillicutty’s office. She says that she understands that normally
the Ladies Title is defended in the main event however she doesn’t want to
wait. She wants Penny Hall right
now. Max says the card is officially
changed and she can head to the ring for her match. She makes her way there.
Medical
update: Dennis Marshall is on a gurney
being rolled to an ambulance. He is
wearing a neck brace and onlookers wish him the best as he’s loaded into the
ambulance. It takes off urgently trying
to get him to a hospital. Once we have
more info, we’ll let you know.
It
seems like we get our Ladies Title match now instead of later. First, Penny Hall makes her way out and she’s
laughing and pointing to how red her hand is from (her words not ours) “bitchslapping
that skank”. She gets into the ring and continues
to mock the crowd. The music changes and
the fans explode as Violet Valkyrie comes RUNNING out at top speed. She slides under the bottom rope and her
momentum almost takes her all the way across the ring. Penny jumped out of the ring pointing to her
head and said that this is all a plan and it will go the way she wants. Violet wants none of that and begins chasing
Penny around the ring. Penny slides into
the ring followed by Violet. The ref
rings the bell starting this one off.
Penny got in some cheap shots in early but Violet battled back. We join the match at the 7 minute mark.

Valkyrie gets the win and the fans pop huge for her. She takes her title from the ref and climbs
the turnbuckle holding it high. Cutting
her celebration short, ‘Sassy’ Maxine DeVito shows up on the stage accompanied
by ‘Broken’ Korbi Kong. Maxine tells
Violet to enjoy it now because in a few weeks, she gets the title match and all
of Violet’s dreams come to a crashing halt.
Maxine and ‘Broken’ Korbi leave.
Violet interacts with the fans and then heads to the back.
We
go backstage with Texas Wildfire. TW
says that King Rad Gumbo was gracious to grant him one more match for the
title. The injury he sustained during
their last match brought an unfortunate end to his quest that night for the US
title. He, however, is now healed and
ready for action. He tells Rad he will
meet him in the ring.
Larry
Morton is backstage with the US Champion and King of HCW, Rad Gumbo. Gumbo says to make it a fair enough game, his
manager Ms. Alexandria will not be with him at ringside. He says that mano e mano is the way to play this
one out. The better man will win. “See you in da ring, mon ami.” Gumbo heads to the ring.
It’s
time for our main event. First, Texas
Wildfire comes out to a huge pop from the crowd. He high fives with the fans and makes his way
around and then into the ring. He is
given a few moments to get the crowd psyched up. The music then changed and the fans popped
again as the US Champion, the Ragin Cajun King Rad Gumbo makes his way
out. He removes the title from his waist
and holds it high. The fans pop
louder. He walks to the ring and slings
the title over his shoulder. He
thenclimbs into the ring and walks to a corner where he climbs to the second
turnbuckle and thrusts the title into the air.
The fans pop even louder. He
steps down and meets Texas Wildfire in the middle of the ring. Gumbo hands the ref the title and then the
two competitors shake hands. The ref
sends them to their respective corners and calls for the match to begin. The match goes an astonishing 20 minutes with
both men trading the controlling pace of the match. We join now at the 21 minute mark.

After
an 18 defense run with the title, Rad Gumbo is finally defeated by the NEW US
CHAMPION Texas Wildfire. TW is handed
the title and he clutches it and falls to his knees. The ref raises his arm in victory. Gumbo gets to his feet and he is
unhappy. He paces for a moment and then
walks over to TW. The two men lock gazes
and then Gumbo extends his hand. He said
the better man would win tonight and that man is Texas Wildfire. King Rad Gumbo leaves the ring allowing Texas
Wildfire to enjoy his win.
The
show comes to an end with Texas Wildfire climbing each of the corner turnbuckles
and holding his title high eliciting louder and louder pops each time. The camera stop rolling as TW leaves the ring
to celebrate with the fans.
