HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2021 #911 – 7/07

Hello fans and welcome back to another installment of the HCW Wrestling Newsletter.  There is a bit of fallout expected so let’s get right into the action.

The show begins backstage in the office of GM Max McGillicutty.  Max is diligently working when FORMER Tag Team champ Dash Woodbrick storms in.  He says that they were screwed out of the titles and demands a rematch.  Max tells him that the Muscles are also in line so tonight, there will be a #1 contender’s match between DD Double D Duo and the Muscles.  Dash doesn’t care for that so he storms out like a bratty child.

We head to the ring and pyro goes off kicking off the show.  The fans turn sour when the Ambassador makes his way out.  He gets into the ring and announces that Devastation, Inc. is getting a new member.  He then introduces Madman Mason.  Mason comes out and has a smug look on his face.  The Ambassador says that regardless of how the Tag Team match played out at the PPV, the Steel Curtain were always on their hit list.   The fans seem to think they are the greatest thing next to sliced bread however he has proven they can be beat.  The trio of Dr. Red Fang, Barry Morningstar and Azrael took the six man titles.  Now, with Madman Mason in his stable, they will truly own HCW or will burn it to the ground.  Mason gets on the mic and calls the wrestlers backstage ‘weaklings’ and challenges anyone to come out to fight him.  Music hits and the fans pop as Biceps Bannerman comes out.  Mason looks a little worried.  Bannerman gets into the ring and snatches the mic from Mason.  “I don’t think I fit the ‘weakling’ profile so if you want to prove how tough you are, try me on for size.”  Mason accepts and we have our first match of the evening.

The match begins pretty slowly but finally started to pick up when Bannerman began throwing Mason around like a rag doll.  We only got 6 minutes in when the Ambassador slipped Mason a foreign object.  He, however, was not very discrete about it and the referee saw it immediately.  He then turned around and disqualified Mason for being in possession of the foreign object.  The match is awarded to Biceps Bannerman.  Mason, not happy with that decision, attacks and starts to bludgeon Biceps with the foreign object bloodying Bannerman up.  He stood up and spat on Bannerman before he and the Ambassador left the ring.  He may not have won the match but he was the clear victor in this battle.  (6 ½ min)

Backstage, Dennis Marshall says he’s excited about taking on the Muscles as they are a solid team.  He thinks they can beat them and then get themselves back into the Tag Team Title hunt.

Our match to determine the #1 contender for the Tag titles is up next.  First, the Muscles Trio make their way out wearing their rainbow colored bull horns and their boxes of ‘Booty O’s’ cereal.  They run around acting all goofy and the fans eat it up.  Muscles McGuire and Thorpe leave Weasley behind and head down to the ring.  They enter through the ropes and continue acting the same.  The music changes and the fans send a mixtures of cheers and boos as Dennis Marshall (cheered) and Dash Woodbrick (booed) make their way out.  Dash begins walking to the ring while Dennis shakes hands with the fans.  Both men enter the ring and Dash is just in a foul mood.  Dash demands to start the match so Dennis obliges.

The match is declared a no-contest.

Dash is mad that Dennis never tagged in (Dash NEVER tried to tag him in) and blames Dennis for them not securing the #1 spot.  Dash shoves Dennis who falls to the mat and Dash storms off.  Dennis, confused, shakes his head and heads to the back while interacting with the fans.

The Ambassador is backstage with all 4 men in Devastation, Inc.  He says that he is putting the HCW world on notice.  No team is safe; no title is safe.

We head back to the ring for our next match.  First, Betsy Cummings makes her way out to boos from the fans.  She gets into the ring and mocks the crowd.  The music changed and the fans pop as Catalina Harper makes her way out.  She shakes hands with the fans as she heads to the ring.  Before she can enter, Betsy’s twin, Felicia, attacks Catalina from behind.  Betsy join her in beating Catalina down but then in an explosion of power, Catalina knocks both women off of her.  Felicia rolled out of the ring and Betsy got to her feet for her match.  For about 12 minutes, both women were practically even; trading and receiving a flurry of moves.  After that though, for 2 minutes, Catalina practically destroyed Betsy.  Felicia tried to intervene but Catalina sent her tumbling to the floor.  Catalina hit the CAT-astrophic Blow and made the cover getting the 3 count.  Catalina Harper gets the win.  Felicia pulls her sister to safety and the two of them slink to the back.  Catalina interacts with the fans briefly before heading back on her own.  (14 min)

Backstage, the TV Champion the Banker (w/ Ruth Heartless) is complaining about the lack of suitable talent for him to fight.  He complains that if HCW has nothing left to offer, maybe he should go look for greater challenges elsewhere.  He is then interrupted by former TV champion Maximillian Redbeard.  Redbeard says that if the Banker wants a challenge, he is here to provide it.  He tells the Banker to meet him in the ring.

Maximillian Redbeard makes his way out to a nice pop from the crowd.  He gets right into the ring and hollers for the Banker to show up.  The music changed and out comes the TV Champion the Banker and his manager Ruth Heartless.  They are booed as they head to the ring.  The Banker took his time getting into the ring and even forced Redbeard to step back so he could enter the ring unmolested.  He finally got in so the match could begin.

Maximillian Redbeard once again wins the TV Title.  He takes the title and heads to the back.  The Banker rolls around on the mat clutching his face while Ruth tries to take care of him.  He gets to his feet and starts yelling at the ref for allowing the match to continue.  The Banker tells the ref to reverse the decision and give him back his title.  The ref refuses and the Banker gets all pissy and declares he is going to quit.  The fans begin to chant “na, na, na, na…na, na, na, na…hey, hey, hey, Goodbye!”  The Banker takes his manager and he storms off to the back.  I guess we’ll see if he truly leaves or if he’s full of hot air.

Once again, we head backstage with air time dominated by the Ambassador and Devastation, Inc.  The Ambassador says that the Six Man Champs are in the house tonight and will be defending the titles tonight.  They will be taking on the Snake Pit and those thugs will pale in comparison to the might of Devastation Inc.  Tonight, they continue their dominance in the sport and Madman Mason, the enforcer, will ensure they stay at the top for as long as they want.

It’s time for our Main Event.   First, the Snake Pit – Tobias Snake, Leiton Snake and Niven Snake -  all come out and stand on the stage.  They do a fist bump and then head to the ring.  They get a decent pop from the crowd only because the opposition are truly hated.  They get in the ring and once more do a fist bump.  Their music is abruptly cut off when we hear “VAMPIRE LUNGES FOR EVERYBODY” and out comes, led by the Ambassador, Devastation Inc.  Dr. Red Fang, Azrael and Barry Morningstar, the Six Man Tag Team Champions, stand tall with the crazy Madman Mason standing behind them.  They all head to the ring amid a shower of garbage being thrown at them by the fans.  They enter the ring and hold their titles high.  After surrendering them to the ref, the bell rings and this one gets underway.

The Snake Pit win via disqualification with a Push Ref over Devastation Inc!!!

WHAT A CHEAP COPOUT WIN!  The champs take the low road.  Even though they lost the match, the belts don’t change hands on a DQ.   This brings out GM Max McGillicutty.  He says that he is not interested in cheesy finishes.  He says that he can’t make the champs defend the titles tonight but he will make the match for 2 weeks from now.  The Ambassador tried to complain but it fell on deaf ears.  The Snake Pit recovered and then dumped the champs from the ring.  They cornered the Ambassador and then triple powerbombed him in the ring.  Dr. Red Fang reached in and pulled their manager to safety.  The Champs helped their manager from the ring.

This brings tonight’s show to an end.  Stay Tuned; more to come.
