Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter. Just like Master Bull taking the Phoenix team on the road, GM Max McGillicutty does the same with the Tacoma roster heading down to Olympia, WA for today’s show.
The action started
almost right away after the pyro went off.
Coming out first, Perfect Pecs Stoddard made his way down to the ring
and the fans booed him. Next, Protocide
comes out and the fans pop for him. He
makes his way down and enters the ring.
Stoddard remained in control for the match but he couldn’t capitalize on
a pin or submission. Just when we
thought Protocide was out, he hits the Prototype out of nowhere and makes the
cover getting the 1-2-3. Protocide gets
his second win and the fans here in Olympia pop just a little louder for
him. He makes his way up the ramp and
once on the stage, he posed flexing his muscles and then went backstage. (13 min)
‘The Singapore
Sensation’ Matt Preacher is backstage with Nix Anderson and he says that Nix is
ready to take his place at the top of HCW; all he needs is a chance to prove
it. Nix says that it doesn’t matter if
it’s the World, US or TV title…any title he wants, he will get.
Our next match
starts off with ‘Red Hot’ Lucas Johnston making his way out to the ring. He gets a decent pop from the fans. Next, Matt Preacher comes out and leads Nix
Anderson down to the ring as the fans jeer him.
He doesn’t care and enters the ring. He acts like he’s going to attack Lucas but
then backs off laughing. The match
begins and for 8 solid minutes, the two of them are practically even. Lucas then hits a flying bodypress and almost
got the 3 count if it weren’t for Preacher putting Nix’s foot on the bottom
rope at the last second. Nix battled
back smacking Lucas with his ukulele and getting a 2 count. Nix then got up and called for the Acoustic
Equalizer and planted Lucas with it. Nix
made the cover and got the 3 count. Nix
gets the win. Preacher joins him in the
ring and points to Nix as he points his thumbs at himself (maybe showing off
that he thinks he’s cool?) and as the fans continue to boo, they end up
leaving. (11 min)
We head backstage again and manager Ant Graham
is with Dr. Red Fang. Graham says that
Mason and Wolfman Keg, the other members of the Ghouls, will be in tag team
action tonight but for right now, it’s all about Fang. He says that Fang has been disrespected in
not being given a shot at the belt he alone made famous (the Hardcore title) so
tonight, they go through everyone until Fang is back in that title hunt. Fang opens his mouth like he’s going to say
something but then changes his mind and walks off with Graham following.
Our third match of
the night begins with the Crocodile Hunter making his way down to the
ring. The fans pop for him. Next, we hear blaring over the loudspeakers
“VAMPIRE LUNGES FOR EVERYONE!” and out comes Dr. Red Fang and Ant Graham. The fans boo them as they head to the
ring. Fang makes like he’s going to
attack the fans but Graham restrains him.
Fang attacks Croc before the bell and the ref is quick to try and get
this one officially started. To everyone’s
surprise, Croc took Graham out almost immediately and he was a non-factor for
the rest of the match. Croc then took
the match to Fang who struggled without his manager feeding him information
(and foreign objects). At the 7 minute
mark, Croc slapped on an ankle lock and Fang, stuck in the middle of the ring
with no one to save him, tapped out. The
Crocodile Hunter gets the win and as he’s celebrating climbing each of the
turnbuckles, Mason the Mangler and Wolfman Keg run out and attack and beat Croc
down. Croc’s tag team partner Outback
Oscar comes out but is overwhelmed by the power of the Ghouls. Graham eventually recovers and joins his team
in the ring and they celebrate standing over Croc and Oscar and eventually
leave. (7 min for the match; 5 extra for
the additional segment)
The Duchess is
backstage and she says that even though she has one of the best records in the
business, she hasn’t seen a shot at the Ladies title in some time. She says that the claims that she’s lost some
of her step is a bunch of bull potatoes and she’ll prove her dominance in the
ring tonight.
The next match is
ready to go. The Duchess makes her way
out first and is booed as she heads down to the ring. Next, Scarlett Phoenix comes out and the fans
pop huge for her. Scarlett rushes to the
ring and slides under the bottom rope.
The Duchess bails out of the ring saying she needs her breathing
room. She eventually makes it back in
and the bell rings almost immediately starting this one off. For the first 7 minutes of the match, the
Duchess really controlled the tempo until Scarlett rattled her jaw with an
uppercut and then took her down to the mat with a headscissors take down. After that, Scarlett controlled the match
getting a couple of near falls in. The
Duchess managed to hit the All Hail Her Majesty but couldn’t capitalize on
it. Before we knew it, the bell rang
bringing this one to a draw finish. The
Duchess immediately high tailed it out of there as had this gone any longer,
Scarlett would have been the victor. I
would not be surprised to see these two lock up again. (20 min draw)
Axe and TNT are
backstage and they say that they are going to give it another run at the tag
team titles. Axe says that they haven’t
exactly had the best luck in singles action but tonight, they have each other’s
back and before you know it, they will be getting a shot at those tag
belts.
The next match is
ready to go. Ant Graham comes out first
as the fans boo and it only gets louder when Mason the Mangler and Wolfman Keg
come out. They head to the ring and the
fans voice their displeasure at them.
Next, Axe and TNT come out and the fans pop for them. They make it to the ring but Keg and Mason
stand at the ropes not allowing them to enter.
Eventually they relent and Axe and TNT are in the ring and the bell
sounds starting this one off. This one
was nothing short of an ass-beating. Axe
and TNT TOTALLY owned the Ghouls and, well, embarrassed the hell out of
them. Graham was once again taken out
but the Ghouls were smart enough to make the save if a pin or submission was
attempted. This frustrated Axe and TNT
and it forced the match to go the distance.
The match ends in a draw finish but it was clear who the superior team
was. Axe and TNT remained in the ring to
pops from the fans as the Ghouls and Graham hightailed it to the back. (30 min)
The Tag Team
Champions – the Desperados – El Chango and Leon Teremoto - are backstage and
they say tonight they are defending their titles against two big men who seem
to have anger issues – Superquake Ferguson and Angry Jack Lawson. Leon says it doesn’t matter if they are
monsters or midgets, they will retain tonight. El Chango reprimands his partner saying that
‘midget’ is not a PC term so big or small, bring them on and we will see who
really will reign supreme.
It’s time for our
main event. First, Superquake Ferguson
and Angry Jack Lawson come out and the fans boo them. Next, the World Tag Team Champions the
Desperados come out and the fans give them the loudest pop of the night. They get in the ring and meet their
challengers in the center of the ring. El
Chango holds his title right in Superquake’s face and Leon does the same in
Jack’s. The match begins and the
challengers use their brute strength (and anger) and actually take the match to
the champs for the first 23 minutes of the match but as it drew on, the champs
found their groove and began to dismantle the towering inferno. The Desperados double teams their opponents
for almost 6 minutes not giving Jack or Ferguson a chance to do anything. Finally, we entered the final minute of the
match. El Chango went to the top rope
and hit a moonsault but Superquake caught him mid-air and locked him in a
bearhug. We thought this was going to be
the end of the line but El Chango hung in there until the time limit ran
out. This match goes to a draw finish
and the champs retain their titles. Jack
and Superquake, frustrated, left and Leon and El Chango celebrated with the
fans to bring the show to an end.
