Hello fans and welcome back to another installment of HCW’s Tacoma Thunder. We have a hell of a card for you fans who are live as well as those watching from home. Tonight, in addition to all the great action, we will see the debut of our new wrestler Protocide and for our main event, the interim World Champion ‘the Ragin Cajun’ King Rad Gumbo defends his title for the first time against TNT.
Speaking of the
Cajun, Gumbo shows up to the arena like 4 hours early and meets GM Max
McGillicutty and tells him that he needs to reverse the restraining order and
prevent Buzz from getting within 100 feet of him. Max says Buzz is not an active wrestler and
he’s made it clear that Buzz is not allowed backstage. Gumbo says fine and storms off.
Pyro goes off and
just as we are getting ready to start the show, we see something going on in
the crowd. Hey, it’s World Champion Buzz
Steel and it appears he has a front row seat for tonight’s action. I wonder what that will mean for Gumbo later
on…
The newcomer
Protocide makes his way down to the ring and he gets a decent pop from the
crowd. Next, over the loudspeakers
blares “I’ve got some bad news for ya” and out comes “Bad News” Marvin
Barnes. The fans boo him and he flips
them off as he makes his way down to the ring.
He motions to Protocide to back up so that he could enter the ring. Protocide backs up and Barnes gets into the
ring. Protocide looks like he’s ready to
get this one started but Barnes is taking his sweet time. Once the bell rang, Protocide dominated
Barnes not allowing him to get in one move for the first 4 minutes of the
match. Finally, Barnes gets in a low
blow and he finally started to put in some offense but Protocide was just too
much for him. After Barnes had been on
the receiving end of a thunderous shoulderblock to the mat, Protocide made the
cover and got the uncontested 1-2-3.
Protocide is dominant in his debut match. The fans pop for him as he makes his way to
the back. (12 min)
Backstage, Jacques
Beannot calls out Superstar Chic Monroe again challenging him for his
spot. Drew the Canadian Love Machine is
there and tells him he doesn’t think that’s wise. Jacques says “He accepted at the end of our
last match. I’m just making sure he’s
ready to go tonight.” Jacques walks off
and Drew shakes his head.
Former Ladies
Champion Candice Charisma storms out to booing from the fans. She makes a beeline for the ring and grabs a
mic. She lambasts HCW for not giving her
the rematch she should have gotten against the thief Madam Made. She comments that somehow, this Halloween
reject Vanilla Zombie has qualified for a shot at the title and she can’t
believe it. She calls Vanilla out to the
ring and calls her a coward when she doesn’t immediately appear. Vanilla Zombie comes out and the fans pop
huge for her. She looks to her left and
then right and sees that her fan base has grown pretty substantially. Now, it appear there are about 75 people on
each side with zombie-like face paint.
Her lips crack the slightest of smiles and she heads to the ring. Candice continues to yell at her and Vanilla
just cocks her head to the side and looks on in confusion. Candice calls for the bell to ring and it
appears we have our next match underway.
The match was never really that close as Vanilla Zombie totally owned
this match. Candice tried to use
underhanded tactics to swing the match to her favor but it didn’t work. Vanilla anticipated each and every counter and
was there to match it with her own savagery.
The, well, I guess the best word to use would be onslaught, continued
until the time limit was in sight. After
the ass-beating Candice was given, Vanilla wasn’t going this one end in a
draw. She grabbed Candice by the hair
and delivered a sickening headbutt.
Candice dropped to the mat. Vanilla
made the cover and got the 3 count.
Vanilla gets the win. The fans
pop for her as she climbs each of the turnbuckles. Candice rolls out of the ring and staggers as
she tries to right herself. She yells
that she was robbed and if this is how HCW treats its superstars, well…then she
QUITS! She says she’s had it with this
half-ass crap territory and says she will go find a federation she will be
respected. She flips off everyone as she
walks, with her back to the fans, to the back.
The fans got in one round of “Na na na na…na na na na…hey hey
hey…goodbye” before she left, never looking back. (19 min for the match, 3 for the extra
segment)
The Duchess is
backstage and storms into Master Bull’s office.
She requests, nay, demands a match against Ruby Rose tonight. Bull informs her that Ruby beat her to the
punch and had asked for that match. Bull
says it’s on for tonight.
It’s time for the
next match. First, Superquake Ferguson
comes out and is booed. He makes it to
the ring, climbs on the apron and then steps OVER the top rope. One has to wonder if he’s related to the late
great Andre the Giant. Next, the Axe
comes out to a pop from the crowd. He
makes it to the ring and climbs up on the apron. Superquake laughs as he knows Axe just can’t
step over the top rope like he can without pushing the top rope down. Instead, Axe grabs hold of the top rope and
then slingshots himself in summersaulting over the top rope and landing on his
feet. The crowd pops huge for
that. Axe smiles as Superquake snarls at
him. The two then basically brawl for
the next 20 minutes and had to be separated once the bell rang signaling a time
limit draw. Superquake did get in one
last cheap shot and then dropped the Axe with a chokeslam followed by the
Cutting Edge. Superquake did some
showboating and just as he was getting ready to leave, he turned to see the Axe
hitting the ropes and connecting with a spear that sent Ferguson through the
ropes and right out to the floor. The
fans pop once again and Superquake growls at him as he makes his way to the
back. Axe celebrates with the fans briefly before heading to the back. (20 min draw)
Ruby Rose is
backstage and says that the Duchess is up to no good and needs to stop with the
shenanigans. Beating her tonight at her
own game will be the way she gets it done.
Once the Duchess is put in her place, she can go after the Ladies Title
without interference.
The next match is
a go when the Duchess makes her way out first.
She is booed but she doesn’t care.
She makes it to the ring, showboats a bit and then settles into a
corner. Next, Ruby Rose comes out and
the fans pop huge for her. She makes it
to the ring keeping an eye on her opponent as she soaks in the adulation from
the fans. She meets the Duchess in the
center of the ring and this one begins explosively. Ruby started off with an exploder suplex but
the Duchess locked in the “All Hail her majesty” but Ruby wouldn’t quit. The Duchess tries it again and still Ruby
won’t tap. Ruby then opened a can of
whoop-ass and really took the match to the Duchess. Ruby tied her up with the
Lotus lock and then dropped her to the mat with a Russian leg sweep. Ruby locks in the Lotus lock one more time
but this time she turns it into a pin and scores the 3 count. The Duchess has been outsmarted and Ruby not
only gets the win but is one step closer to a title shot at the Ladies
title. The Duchess leaves without
further incident and Ruby celebrates with the fans before departing. (7 min)
Backstage,
Tacoma’s Davis ‘the Hoff’ Hoffmeister is with ‘the King of Cones’ Magnum Kone
and says that with Nix and Hensen running around like they own the place, he
agrees that the two of them should combine forces and immediately challenge
Matt Preacher’s flunkies for their spot in the line up for the tag team
titles. Magnum agrees that they should
give it one solid run and after that, go back to singles action. They shake on it.
Our next match is
the second meeting between Superstar Chic Monroe and Jacques Beannot. The last time the two of them met in the
ring, the action ended in a draw. Now,
they’ve pushed for a longer time limit and now, they can have a clear cut
winner. Jacques Beannot comes out first
to a nice pop from the crowd. Once in
the ring, Superstar Chic Monroe comes out to a pop that is basically on par to
what Jacques had. The two meet in the
center of the ring and shake hands. This
match will determine who is next in line for a shot at the US title held by
Drew the Canadian Love Machine. Speaking
of Drew, his music hits and he makes his way out to a deafening pop from the
crowd. He goes and sits at commentary to
scout this match. Chic started off
strong with Jacques doing a decent job of keeping up with him. Chic then turned up the heat showing his
veteran skills and then Jacques struggled.
Monroe then called for the Cradle Facebuster but somehow Jacques powered
out of it, tried to whip Monroe to the ropes but that was reversed and Jacques
was sent to the ropes where he leapt to the top turnbuckle and launched with a
flying bodypress that caught Chic unaware.
He tried to roll through it but Jacques held the leg tightly and the ref
counted 1-2-3. Jacques gets the win in
remarkable fashion and is now the #1 contender for the US title. The fans pop for him. He looks and sees Drew get up from his spot
and claps for him too. Drew then left
allowing Jacques to soak in the adulation from the crowd. Eventually, Jacques left too. (16 min)
GM Max
McGillicutty comes out and has a mic in his hand. Instead of remaining on stage, he walked down
to the ring. “Tonight’s main event is
going to be the first ever defense of the Interim World title. TNT has a great opportunity in front of him
and this needs to go as smoothly as possible.”
He stops right in front of where World Champion Buzz Steel is sitting.
“Buzz, I appreciate you here supporting the roster with all the fans here
but…” He is then interrupted with “Gumbo
7:30 says its suppa time, bitch!” and out comes the Interim World Champion ‘The
Ragin Cajun’ (and he was ragin’ for sure) King Rad Gumbo. He storms down to the ring. Local law enforcement who were on hand just
in case an altercation were to take place immediately step in. “This is what I’ve been sayin…I don’t know
how he’s done it but he has gotten in my way these last few weeks and this is
the final straw. I want him OUT!” Max puts his hand up. “Buzz is a ticket holder and is no different
than any of the other fans sitting here at ringside but I will ask as politely
as I can…Buzz, would you please be willing to move back two rows so that Gumbo
can have his match without violating the restraining order?” Buzz thinks about it for a moment and replies
“No but I’ll tell you want I am willing to do.
For one night only, I will waive the restraining order for this night
only.” Max breathes a sigh of relief and
the law enforcement steps down. Gumbo
smiles and then enters the ring. He
begins to stretch as the music changes and out comes TNT. The fans pop pretty loud for him and he high
fives the fans as he makes his way to the ring.
He enters the ring and gets right in Rad’s face and Gumbo actually took
one step back but then met his gaze.

King Rag Gumbo
gets the win and retains his title in his very first defense. Gumbo takes the title and parades around with
it. He then exits the ring and gets
right into Buzz’s face mockingly holding the title right in front of him. Gumbo then sucker punches Buzz and there is
an all-out brawl. The security on hand
quickly broke things up but we can tell that this is not over by a long shot.
