Hello
fans and welcome back to another episode of HCW’s Phoenix Heat. The show kicks off with Elitism making their
way down to the ring. The fans cheer for
Roderick and Reid Rothchild. Roderick
takes the mic and tells the fans that good things come to those who wait. They put the Steel Curtain under a microscope
and proved they’re not the greatest team in the world they claim to be when a
newbie team gives them a serious run for their money. He says that Reid has a bombshell. He hands the mic to Reid. Reid says that Elitism isn’t about singles
but about a team – a dominating team and for them to be that dominating team,
he has to give Elitism 100%. He
announces that he is dropping the Hardcore title and he and Roderick will take
on the Tag Team Champs – Hoff n Spicy -
in a non-title match. The fans
pop but things go sour when the Steel Curtain come out. Buzz can’t believe what he’s hearing. The Steel Curtain are multi-time tag team
champions and a team who’s had 2 whole matches – one they LOST by pin get a
shot at the champs? That is bull crap.
Starbuck adds in that if Elitism thinks they’re going to build a
reputation off of them then they are sorely mistaken. Starbuck says that Elitism will not use them
as a stepping stone and if they really want to play in the big leagues, they’re
in for a rude awakening. Buzz leans in
and says “Word” and the Curtain leave.
GM
Master Bull comes out and makes his way to the ring. He shakes hands with Reid and Roderick. Bull asks Reid if this is what he really
wants to do and Reid says yes handing over the Hardcore title. Elitism leaves the ring. Bull says that they
will not wait long for a new champion as tonight, there will be a 4 man
tournament to crown a new champion. He
announces that Ivan Dragovich, the Fiend, Leon Teremoto and ‘Top Gun’ Justin
Winger will round out the matches and one will walk out tonight with gold. He says that for the final match, hardcore
rules will be in effect and to make sure a champ is crowned, he’s extending the
time limit on each match to 30 minutes just in case. He leaves and says those matches will
begin…NOW.
Our
show is underway with the Russian Ivan Dragovich making his way down to the
ring amidst booing from the crowd. The
music changes and out comes ‘Top Gun’ Justin Winger. He gets a pop as he heads down to the
ring. Ivan doesn’t seem to care for him
so he goes right on the offensive.
Winger surprised Ivan by giving just as good as he got. Just as the match was starting to get
flowing, Ivan nailed a spinning heel kick and Winger went down. Ivan then began yelling at the crowd not
paying attention to Top Gun. Winger got
to his feet and out of nowhere, nailed Ivan with the Flyin & Stylin and
rolled him up for the 1-2-3. Ivan tried
to attack Justin but Top Gun got out of the ring before any damage could be
inflicted. Winger gets the win and moves on in the tournament. (4 min)
Backstage,
the Tag Team Champions are here with their manager Figaroa ‘Figgy’ Newton. Figgy says that Hoff n Spicy are running wild
and tonight, they bring their enthusiasm (and fans) to Phoenix for a real
treat. DJ CJ says that they heard a new
team was in town and wanted a piece of the champs. Guess what…they’re here. Davis Hoffmeister adds that he’s heard that
the Steel Curtain are still causing waves upset that they haven’t gotten a
title shot. Davis tells them that their
manager must be inept as they’ve seen no contracts or offers come their way. Davis tells the Curtain to stop complaining and
prove they are worthy of a title match.
We
head to the ring for our next match.
First, former Hardcore Champion the Fiend comes out to music from the
Misfits. He gets a loud pop as he makes
his way down to the ring. Next, the
music changes and out comes Leon Teremoto.
Leon gets a pop from the crowd, just not the level that the Fiend
got. The Fiend takes the mic and tells
Leon that if wants to prove he’s worthy of being a Hardcore champ, this match
needs to have special rules. He suggests
they make it a ‘Falls count anywhere’ match and Leon agrees. The Fiend hits the Project 1950 (headbutt
smash) that stunned Leon. The Fiend follows it up with a dropkick. Leon grabs a handful of hair but the Fiend
press slams him into the 3rd row.
Leon makes his way back to the ring.
The Fiend goes for a running dropkick but Leon swats him away. The Fiend goes for a running clothesline but
Leon reverses it and hits a DDT on the metal steps and then locks in the
Gorilla Hug. The Fiend is out of it and
ends up tapping out. Leon Teremoto gets
the win and now goes on to fight Top Gun to see who will become the new
Hardcore champ. (5 min)
Backstage,
Buzz and Starbuck Steel say they’ve heard the comments from the curtain jerkers
holding their titles. Buzz says that if
they really want to see what the Steel Curtain is made of, they can watch their
match later when they take on Otto Ruthless and Talon McFrosty err, I mean
Frosty the Snow Man…no wait, that’s not it.
Starbuck says it doesn’t matter
what their names are. Tonight, they’ll be just another victim of the Steel
Curtain. Both men lean in and say
“Word”.
We go
back to the ring as Southern Belle makes her way out. She says that she’s beaten everyone on this
roster as well as the Tacoma roster and wants fresh blood. Ravishing Raquel comes out and says that it’s
been a while since the two of them mixed things up and how about putting on a
show now? Belle says that Raquel is top
talent and their match really should be main eventing PPV’s but since there
isn’t one for a few weeks, now is good. Belle
immediately attacked Raquel slamming her into the turnbuckle multiple times and
Raquel was just disoriented. Belle took
advantage of it and dominated the former Ladies and Elitist Champion. About 10 minutes in, both ladies took the
action to the outside of the ring and Raquel began tearing into Belle. Belle started to get worried so after hitting
a low blow, she handcuffed Raquel to the ringside barrier. Belle rolled back in at the 5 count and stood
there smiling and waving as Raquel struggled to get free of the handcuff. She just got it worked free when the bell
rang signaling she got counted out.
Southern Belle gets the win and starts laughing. Raquel then hit the ring and began peppering
Belle with lefts and rights and then hit the Simply Ravishing. Belle rolled out of the ring cursing as she
made her way up the ramp. Raquel
celebrated with the fans before leaving.

Backstage,
manager J C Dykes is with the US Champion the Unknown Assassin. Dykes says that by hook or crook, he will
figure out a way to get the Unknown Assassin on EVERY show. He will do whatever it takes…including
stepping on people or sabotaging careers…the Unknown Assassin will be the FACE
of HCW and NOT just the little Phoenix branch.
He tried to rattle on more but the camera cut off but audio was still
going. “What in the hell is going
on? What type of technology are you
using? Dell?” Audio finally shut off silencing him…for now.
As we
get ready for the next match, Otto Ruthless and Talon McFrost have already made
their way down to the ring getting a so-so reaction from the crowd. Next, the Steel Curtain come out with their
manager the Ambassador and the fans boo the crap out of them. Buzz and Starbuck flip off the crowd as they
make their way down to the ring. McFrost
didn’t care for the comments made about him earlier and they actually took the
match to the Steel Curtain much to the surprise of, well, everyone. The Steel Curtain did get in quite a bit of
double teaming action but so did their opponents. About 9 minutes in, the Curtain pulled Talon
out of the ring and hit him with a double powerbomb through the announce
table. While the ref was admonishing
them, the Ambassador jumped into the ring and using a rope, he choked Otto
out. He escaped the ring just as the ref
and Starbuck were returning. Starbuck
picked him up and hit a hangman DDT and then covered him for the win. Starbuck and Buzz Steel get the win with an
exclamation point for emphasis. (10 min)
“Top
Gun” Justin Winger is backstage and he says that tonight is his night. He will dominate like his earlier match and
will prove to the world that he is the next big thing.
The
next match gets ready to kick off and Elitism – Reid and Roderick Rothchild –
make their way out to a decent pop from the crowd. Next, Figgy Newton leads out the World Tag
Team Champions Hoff n Spicy – Davis ‘the Hoff’ Hoffmeister and DJ CJ Spice
out. DJ gets on the mic and tells
everyone he made a discovery and that is he figured out the full names of the
Rothchild brothers. He asks the fans if
they want to hear it and they respond with a solid ‘YES’. DJ then tells the fans to say hello to Reid
Renfield Rothchild and Roderick Remington Rothchild. The champs, Figgy and the fans all have a
good chuckle. Reid is in the ring and he’s
just slapping his knee laughing. He
takes a mic. “Ha Ha, oh that’s
great. What did you do? Look us up on Linked In? Did you do an Ancestry.com search on us or are
you just trolling us on Twitter? You two
are regular Sherlock Holmes. How about
you get down here so we can show you what we’re made of?” The champs and Figgy all head down and the
match begins immediately. The champs
took control early and with Figgy’s influence, dominated the match. About 12 minutes in, the Steel Curtain came
out and went to sit at commentary. That
must have lit a fire under Elitism that they started taking it to the
champs. Figgy then got involved and distracted
Roderick who began chasing him around the ring.
As Roderick was making his way around one side, Buzz and Starbuck leapt
up and blindsided him beating him down. They
hit him with a double powerbomb on the outside of the ring and then rolled him
back in. The ref just got Reid out of
the ring. DJ ran over and made the cover
hooking the leg and getting the 1…2…3.
Hoff n Spicy get the win. The Steel
Curtain immediately got in the ring and began having words with the
champs. The words quickly escalated into
fisticuffs and a brawl was underway.
Reid (and eventually Roderick) all joined in the fray and security had
to get in there and break things up. The
Steel Curtain were removed first followed by Elitism and finally the
champs. (16 min for the match; additional
10 for the aftermath)
Backstage,
Master Bull said that things were escalating too quickly between Elitism and
the Steel Curtain so he said that a match will take place between the two teams
and the winner will get the next shot at the championships.
It’s
finally time for the main event. First, “Top
Gun” Justin Winger comes out to a pop from the fans. He walks by a female fan holding a sign (have
we seen her before?) that reads “I’ll be your Wing man”. He smiles at her and then gets into the
ring. Next, Leon Teremoto comes out and
he too gets about an equal pop from the crowd.
The ref announces that this match will be a Lights Out match. Winger started off like a rocket and only let
Leon get ONE offensive move in. Winger
was showboating to the crowd and he didn’t see…what the heck…Figgy Newton
making his way down to the ring. He
leaned over to Leon and told him something.
Leon got up and immediately distracted the ref. Figgy then jumped into the ring and hit
Winger with a baseball bat knocking him down.
He slid the bat over to Leon who blasted Winger once with it. The ref began counting 1..2..3..4..5..6..7..8..9..10.
Justin Winger is counted down and out
and the match and the Hardcore title are awarded to Leon Teremoto. Leon celebrates with the title and the fans
pop while Figgy walks up the ramp smirking.
The show came to an end.
