Hello
fans and welcome to Wrestlemania Fanfest.
We are coming to you live from Mesa, Arizona. All of the superstars are here and this place
is packed to the rafters. If wrestlers
are not signing autographs, they are hosting Q&A or mingling with the
fans.
Walking
throughout the venue, we see Big Show taking pictures with fans standing next
to a life size cardboard cutout of Andre the Giant and even this giant is
dwarfed by Andre. That man was one in a
million.
In
one Q&A, Prestige Inc. (Damian Sandow, Reid Rothchild and Ravishing Raquel)
are talking about the evolution of Prestige Inc. ever since they began. Reid spoke about his first feud with owner
Mr. Bychowski over (of all things) a parking spot. How this team has grown.
We
walk by the Autograph room and see Buzz and Starbuck Steel with one of the
longest lines for autographs. Dang.
We
think that there wasn’t one single fan who didn’t get what they came for. Max and the Owners saw to that.
There
was a disturbance when Stephanie McMahon tried to enter and she was denied
access. Ronda Rousey walked by and waved
at her. Stephanie was irate and stormed
off.
One
of the most interesting panels had Hardcore Champion El Chango, the Stache and
Shane McMahon at it. Surprisingly, no
punches were thrown but there was a lot of tension in the room between
Desperado teammates. Shane pointed out
how he was going to defeat both of his challengers by showing all the crazy
stuff he’d done in the past (jumping off Titantrons, off the top of cages,
delivering flying elbows to someone with a trash can laying on them). Lots of “OHHHHHHHH” were elicited by the
crowd and Shane ate it up.
After
all of the autograph sessions were done and the last Q&A ended, Max invited
everyone to come down to the adjoining arena to watch 3 matches that are
exclusive to the crowd here tonight.
Once
everyone had filed in and taken their seat, Max stood in the ring and told the
crowd that tonight’s 3 matches are for them in appreciation for attending the
Fanfest. Max stepped aside so the matches could begin.
The
first match started with Prestige Inc. member Damian Sandow taking on Alexander
Rusev. Rusev is no stranger to Prestige
Inc. as he had a pretty long feud with Reid Rothchild. Reid and Ravishing Raquel accompanied Sandow
down to the ring. Rusev taunted Reid and
called Sandow spineless. Rusev said he
wanted this match to be a Russian Chain.
Sandow agreed. Rusev immediately
blasted Sandow with the chain busting him open.
He dragged Sandow around the ring tapping 3 corners before Sandow was
able to stop him. Rusev even took a
cheap shot at Reid nearly taking his head off with a chain snap. Rusev made multiple attempts to make it to
all 4 corners but Damian kept stopping him.
Sandow smashed Rusev in the face with the chain busting him open and
tried to make it to the corners but was stopped. Sandow battled back and started to get
serious momentum going. Rusev, sensing
things were not going his way, wrapped the chain around Damian’s neck choking
him out. Just before Sandow could pass
out, Rusev made his way around the corners.
He tapped 1…tapped a 2nd…tapped the 3rd and just
as Damian tried to hold him back, Rusev let go of the extra slack of chain he
had and he tapped the 4th corner.
Alexander Rusev gets the win for this match. The ref freed Rusev first and he attacked
Sandow again. Reid jumped in and hurled
the Bulgarian Bully from the ring. Rusev cursed as he walked back up the ramp
and Sandow, Reid and Raquel shook hands with the fans before leaving. (22 min)
Max
McGillicutty comes out and says that those two put on a hellacious match and
this next one promises to be no different.
Max says that to keep things going, The Fiend and Sonic Blade will have
a no-holds barred match and they will be allotted as much time as they
need. The Fiend came out first and was
followed by Sonic Blade. These two
really upped their game and the fans stayed glued to their seats for the entire
match. Sonic Blade said he had a lot to
prove to the Fiend and he sure did that.
The Fiend kept panicking during the match but he couldn’t leave as this
was a no DQ match. After 23 minutes, the
Fiend decided he’d had enough and stopped Sonic’s onslaught with 3 hits from
Hell (rapid punches). A stunned Sonic
stumbled and the Fiend grabbed a cookie sheet and bashed Sonic with it drawing
more blood. He went for the quick pin
trying to hook the tights but Sonic kicked out.
The Fiend hit Sonic with the Project 1950 (headbutt smash) and tried for
the quick pin but Sonic made it to the ropes.
The Fiend pulled him back into the center of the ring and locked in the
Devil lock (Figure Four). By this time,
Blade has lost a lot of blood and had practically no energy left. Sonic laid down to try to catch his breath
but his shoulders remained down a fraction too long…that fraction allowed for
the 3 count to be made and the match is awarded to the Fiend. Both men got standing ovation and both had
to be helped from the ring. (27 min)
Max
comes out again and says that Fiend and Sonic Blade almost brought the house
down. He says that Cena/Henry can finish
what the others started and that would be to bring this one to an explosive
conclusion. As Mark Henry makes his way out, Max stops him and says that he
doesn’t want a DQ finish so he needs to wait on the stage while the STEEL CAGE
is assembled. A few moments later, the
cage is finished and Henry power walks down to the ring. He enters the cage and climbs the wall
taunting Cena. John Cena comes out to an
explosive reaction from the fans. Those
saying that he sucked was drowned out by the overwhelming majority who wanted
to see Cena kick Mark Henry’s ass. Cena
entered the cage and Henry immediately attacked him. Both men were bloodied up within minutes and that
only turned up the action. The fans
fueled the fire that was these two beating the crap out of each other. At one point. Henry climbed to the top (ok,
almost the top) and hit a splash onto Cena.
It took Henry a few moments to recover from that and as he crawled over
to make the cover, he just got an arm draped on John. The ref counted 1…2… Cena Kicks Out! Henry couldn’t believe it. A masked man ran down to ringside (looks like
Ryback to me) and threw a chair into the ring to Mark. Henry went to nail the World’s Strongest
Slam onto that chair but Cena reversed it and hit a drop toe hold that brought
Henry crashing to the ring and his head smashing into the chair. John went for the cover but Mark powered out. John couldn’t believe it. John bounced off the ropes and Henry caught
him in a bearhug. John would not submit
and smacked Mark’s ears to get him to let him go. John then hits the F-U out of nowhere on
Mark. John then climbed the cage and did
the “You can’t see me” and hit the fist drop from the top of the cage. John went for the pin again but Mark barely
kicked out at two. By now the fans are
screaming for John to finish Henry off.
John hits the F-U on Mark on the steel chair. He makes the cover and gets the 1-2-3. Now, he has to escape the cage. He gets to the top and gets one leg over the
wall when Henry stops him. John kicks
him off, climbs to the top again and nails a B52 kneedrop from the top of the
cage. HOLY SHIT chants ring out. John crawls to the cage door, gets it open
and falls out. John Cena wins this one
in true EXTREME fashion. I don’t think
one person booed him after this performance.
The ref checked in on Mark while John celebrated with the fans. (30 minutes).
Max
comes out one last time and thanks everyone for attending and invites them all
back for Wrestlemania this coming weekend.
Stay tuned as the Biggest PPV of the year is finally here.
