HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2016 – #464

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.   Wrestlemania continues to get closer and closer and things are really heating up in the HWF and CSWA.  We have a lot to cover so let’s jump right into it.

GM Max McGillicutty comes out and thanks the fans for attending.  He lets us know that Wrestlemania in Phoenix, AZ is almost completely sold out.  He said few tickets remain and those who want to attend need to get to their local box office or order the tickets online ASAP.  He tells us that the Fanfest show has sold out.  As a bonus to those people attending, he has something special lined up and over the next 2 shows, he will pass those details along.

The show begins with Tyson Kidd making his way out to the ring.  He says that he singlehandedly defeated all the other losers and is rewarded by getting a shot at the “Ice Cream Champion” and at Wrestlemania, he will finally get the title and respect that comes with it.  He gets booed as he goes to sit at commentary.  The announcer then introduces competitors for this match which is for the Intercontinental Title.  Tyson Kidd stands up and is like “HEY, WHAT THE HELL” as Kazarian makes his way out first.  Tyson leaves commentary as he hollers at Kaz.  The champ Magnum Kone comes out and the fans pop for him.  He is flanked by Haagen and Daas and he gets in the ring as his backup delivers ice cream to the fans at ringside.  The match is set for a 20 minute time limit.  Before the bell could ring, Tyson Kidd ran in and smashed Magnum with a chair.  He ended up having to be restrained.  Tyson is escorted from ringside so the match could begin.  That chair shot must have hurt Magnum more then he let on as Kazarian beat the crap out of him however nothing he did could keep the champ down for the 3 count.  The bell finally sounds bringing this one to a draw.  Magnum retains his title…barely.  (20 min draw)

Clarkus Kentus is backstage and he says he has a special guest tonight and introduces…Chris Jericho.  The fans pop for Jericho until he insults them and then the cheers turn to boos.  Jericho says he’s spoken with GM Max McGillicutty and says that Wrestlemania is nothing without him so he’s signing on for one match…for now.  Jericho says that he says he’s been watching from home and one person stands out…Samoa Joe.  He says that he wants to showcase THIS (he waves his hands in front of himself) talent and what better way than to take on the so-called Samoan Submission Machine.  He says that Max has granted this match and he will show the world who the master of the submission is when Joe taps out to the Walls of Jericho.

We head back to the ring for our next match.  Kevin Owens vs Prince Devitt in a non-title match.  Owens was dominating Devitt until the lights flickered as the Savior came out on stage.  Owens, pissed off, turns to yell at him giving Devitt time to recover.  Kevin turns around and Prince hits him with a vertical drop DDT and hooks the let to get the 3 count.  Devitt wins this one in 8 minutes.  Prince leaves as the Savior makes his way to the ring.  The Savior stands over the prone Owens and holds his hands over Kevin and then says that this is what Kevin will be doing at Wrestlemania while the Savior stands tall with the North American title.  He eventually leaves and so does Kevin.

In the back, The Forgotten w/ the Undertaker issue a challenge to New Day for the 6 man titles.  Max walks by and says “Crap, I forgot another one.”  He looks at the Undertaker and says “Done” and walks off.  I guess this one is official.

Bobby Lashley makes his way to the ring and with mic in hand, says he totally got screwed in the fatal four way but he is not one to complain but act in the ring. He calls out Roman Reigns and challenges him for his spot.  Reigns says no however if Lashley agrees to a match against all members of the Shield and can beat them all, then he can have the shot.  However, if any member of the Shield gets the pin, Roman retains his spot.  Bobby agrees.  Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose join Roman and then head to the ring.  I guess that match is next.  Bobby successfully handles all 3 members of the Shield but as the well-oiled machine they are, they kept him from getting the 3 count.  Bobby hit all 3 members with the Dominator but saves were made each time.  This one ends up going to a 30 minute draw and since Bobby didn’t get the pin, Roman retains his spot at Wrestlemania.

In the back, The Stache appears to be fine except for his bruised ego.  He says that he always knew El Chango was a great competitor but never thought he’d stoop this low just to win a title.  Regardless, at Wrestlemania, he is taking his title back and will show why he’s the chosen one to take the Hardcore title to all new heights (literally or figuratively???).

We’re back to the ring for more action.  This one has Ryback taking on Alberto Del Rio.  Austin Aries makes his way out wearing a referee shirt.  He says that he’s been appointed the special ref for this match.  He warns Del Rio to keep his hands off him or he has the authority to suspend him if he comes close to touching him.  Ryback manhandled Alberto for about 10 minutes but eventually the aristocrat battled back much to the dismay of Aries.  Ryback set Alberto up in the corner and then went to the other side and charged like hit was going to hit a spear but Alberto moved and Ryback smashed his shoulder against the steel post.  Del Rio then locked Ryback in the double cross armbreaker and Ryback tapped out however Aries wouldn’t call the match.  Ryback kept screaming and Aries kept trying to encourage him to power out of it.  Finally, after about 20 seconds of all this, he finally had the bell rung awarding the match to Alberto Del Rio via submission.   Alberto flaunts the win in Aries’ face and then leaves.  Aries leaves disgusted.  (17 min)

The Savior is backstage and cuts a promo saying at Wrestlemania, he will “save” Kevin Owens from himself and remove the burden that is the NA title.

We head back to the ring for our next title match.  Adrian Neville challenges Dr. Red Fang for the US title.  As expected, Fang was the more vicious of the two pulling out all stops (lying, cheating, etc) to secure a win.  This brought out his competitors at Wrestlemania Phat Sol and Red Hot Lucas Johnston.  Neville battled back and actually began to outwrestle Fang and he wasn’t prepared for that.  Phat Sol tried to be funny and tripped Fang but then pretended he did nothing wrong.  While he was distracted by Fang, Fang’s cameraman ran up from behind and blasted Phat with his camera.  Phat goes down.  By the time medics came out to help Phat, the bell was ringing bringing this one to a time limit draw (but it was bad:  Fang 107; Neville 216).  After the match, Fang tried to attack Lucas Johnston but Red Hot was completely aware and chased Fang off and chased him to the back.  Medics helped Phat to his feet and took him to the back.  (30 min time limit)

Heading to the back once again, the Miz is back there making waves.  He interrupts AJ Styles’ interview and says he’s confident he could defeat AJ anytime, anywhere.  AJ gets in his face and asks “What about right now?” but Miz counters with “How about Wrestlemania?”  AJ nods and the two stare at each other as the segment ends.

We are getting ready for the next match but then the Omegatron lights up:

--//////////////////////STATIC-CUTS-ACROSS-THE-SCREEN\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\--

*A black and white image appears out of the snow and The Fiend stands in what looks like a house out of a horror movie*

“SONIC BLADE!!!!! You have made a grave mistake. Not in beating me, for I have to die to receive a Resurrection...but in cheating! In accepting!  You whined...you cried in the Devil Lock. Be prepared son. More then 20 Eyes saw you cheat, more than 20 Eyes saw you weep, and more then 20 Eyes will see when All Hell Breaks Loose as you enter the Violent World I have prepared for you. You will taste your Last Caress and everyone will behold the rise of The Static Age!”

*The Fiend head-butts the camera and it returns to static*
--////////////////////////////\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\--

Sonic Blade is backstage and has just watched this and felt he had to respond.  “Fiend, you are a coward.  First you lose clean and then you attack me.  In the old days, my father always told me cheaters never prosper.  In my life as a pro wrestler, I have always taken that to heart no matter how difficult it has been.  I give my best all the time without cheating (hence my disassociation with the Wraith).  Many may call me a cheater but it’s only because they are trying to deflect from their own cheating ways.  You want another piece of me?  Fine.  Sign on the dotted line and I will teach you manners.”

Max like what he hears but with the Wrestlemania card full, he adds a match to the Fanfest:  Sonic Blade vs the Fiend.  Most likely there will be a stipulation of some sort.

It is time for the Main Event.  Triple Crown Champion Bray Wyatt is defending the HWF World title against Jack Swagger.  King CJ comes out first though and sits at ringside to scout the match.  This one will be ECW rules.  Bray begins by ramming Jack’s head into the ringside barrier.  He followed it up with Sister Abigail but Swagger got up and nailed a gutwrench suplex.  Wyatt grabs a chair and nails Sister Abigail on the chair.  Bray gets a 2 and 99/100th count.  Bray then spills thumbtacks in the ring.  Jack nails a powerslam but missed the thumbtacks.  Bray eventually recovers and slams Jack’s head into the ringside barrier again.  Disoriented, Jack crawls back into the ring only to be suplexed onto the thumbtacks.  Swagger struggles to his feet only to get hit with Sister Abigail once again.  Bray makes the cover and gets the 3 count.  Bray successfully defended his title.  (17 min)

King CJ then stands up and he and Bray stare at each other but then Roman Reigns comes out and he approaches the other side of the ring.  Bray takes the mic from the announcder.  "What would WrestleMania be without Bray Wyatt? What would a beast be without its teeth? What would a reaper be without a soul to take? What would a king be without his crown? But I know something y'all don't know. Something wicked this way comes. Run, all of you."

The camera fades out and the show ends with all 3 men staring at each other.  Thanks for reading but be sure to stay tuned as Wrestlemania will be here before you know it.

Below is the poster for Wrestlemania.
