HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2017 #595 (08/02)

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  A fan had inquired “Was there a bloody match that network sponsors required you to edit from the program, causing the extra delay?”  To that, we respond with no.  The process of shifting operations to Tacoma, WA has hit a few speed bumps and that is why the posting of our shows has been a little off.  GM Max McGillicutty commented on reporter abuse though saying that reporters are not wrestlers and moving forward, any wrestler, manager or HCW talent who aggressively puts their hands on a reporter will see their careers cut short.  “This isn’t Fox where some congressman attacks a reporter…this is PROFESSIONAL wrestling with the emphasis on Professional.  Do your job, be a professional or get the hell out!”

We will strive to bring you the action in a timely manner but please bear with us if we’re late in our postings.

Our show kicks off with our Ladies in action.  Madame Jade comes out first to a mixed reaction from the crowd.  Next, fan favorite and former Ladies Champion El Gato Negro comes out to a huge pop from the crowd.  This one only went 4 ½ minutes because Jade was tossed out of the ring and she landed awkwardly on her ankle.  She wasn’t able to make it back in.  El Gato gets the win.  Afterwards, she went out to check on Jade.  After ensuring she would be ok, El Gato extended her hand to Jade who shook it gladly.  After Jade left, El Gato addressed the fans saying that after the PPV, she will be taking time off to heal some nagging injuries.

Hardcore Champion the Fiend walks into GM Max McGillicutty’s office and says he’s fed up with Dr. Red Fang and wants him gone.  Max says the only way to do that is to give him his rematch.  Fiend says his career is not worth Fang’s.  Max tells him there’s always one way to neuter a vampire.  He leans over and whispers something to the Fiend.

We head to the ring for some tag team action.  First, two members of the Huber Clan – Ferb and Butch – make their way down to booing from the fans.  Next, Figgy Newton comes out and introduces everyone’s favorite duo – Hoff n Spicy – Davis Hoffmeister and DJ CJ Spice.  HnS make their way to the ring to a huge pop from the crowd.  Davis walks by a fan wearing a mask who doesn’t return the high five as he makes his way to the ring (ah well, you can’t have every fan like you).  Davis and DJ CJ controlled the match until a mistimed intervention from Figgy almost gave them their first loss.  The duo quickly got back into their groove and continued to hand it to the Clan members.  Just before Hoff was going to hit a piledriver, the Tag Team Champions Buzz and Starbuck Steel ran out and attacked Hoff n Spicy causing a disqualification on the Huber’s part.  Buzz and Starbuck beat down Hoff n Spicy but Davis hits Buzz with a monkey flip sending him flying over the top rope.  DJ CJ hits Starbuck with a flying dropkick that also sends him flying.  Hoff n Spicy are joined by Figgy in the ring and they stand tall as the Curtain backs off muttering and cursing at them.  (20 ½ min for the match; 5 extra for the aftermath)

We go backstage where Magnum Kone, once again bloodied, is being helped up.  He says that it was Covfefe who attacked him and tonight, he’s going to end it.

Music plays (“Ice Dagger, Baby) and Ice Dagger makes his way out to booing from the fans.  Next, we hear “Gumbo 7:30 says it Suppa Time, Bitch!” and out comes the Ragin Cajun Rad Gumbo accompanied by his manager MJ.  Ice Dagger attacks Rad as he enters the ring and this one starts off right away.  Dagger was killing it in the ring but Rad began a comeback with the assistance from MJ.  It didn’t go too long as Covfefe ran out like he was being chased and hit the ring.  Gumbo tried to stand in his way but ended up getting hit by a tackle and that caused this one to end in a DQ also.  The lights went out for a few seconds but when they came back on, Magnum Kone was at the ring and Covfefe was taking off through the crowd.  Magnum apologized to Rad for the interference.  Magnum then took a mic and challenged Covfefe to a match at the Supershow.  Magnum tells GM Max McGillicutty to make sure it happens.

The Honorable J C Dykes and the Unknown Assassin pull up in a limo outside.  Security is lined up.  Dykes tells security that they better make sure there is no interference in the Unknown Assassin’s match or they will end up feeling the wrath of UA.

We head back to the ring for the #3 match between the 5th Column and the Muscles Trio.  The series is tied at 1:1.  The Column make their way out first and are booed pretty heavily.  Next, the Muscles Trio make their way down but they are not wearing their rainbow colored bull horns.  I guess they expect this match to mean business.  The Column wasted no time in going on the offensive.  Only 3 minutes in, the fight spilled to the outside of the ring.  Karl set up a table while Oswald and Baron fought off Weasley and Thorpe.  Karl then hit a low blow on McGuire and then nailed him with a Blitzkreig stunner right through the table.  Karl, the legal man, rolled back in and sat in the corner.  The ref ended up counting to 10 and counted McGuire down and out.  Karl steals the CO win for his team and that puts them at 2:1 in the best of 7 series.  Thorpe and Weasley tended to McGuire as the 5th Column walked up the ramp laughing.

US Champion El Chango is in the house and he says that tonight, he is defending his title.  He knows he’ll be in for a tough match against Angry Jack Lawson but he’s confident he will retain.

Tobias Snake makes his way out to the ring for singles action.  Once in the ring, security comes down lining the ramp.  The Honorable J C Dykes comes out and introduces (in his words) the greatest champion to ever live – the Unknown Assassin.  The two of them walk down to the ring as debris pelt them.  Dykes grabs a mic and tells the fans to “settle down you trailer park trash or we’re out of here”.  The fans continue and Dykes tells UA to just leave but all of a sudden, Dude USA Mick Rude shows up on the ramp and prevents UA and Dykes from leaving.  They turn around and head back to the ring.  Tobias took advantage of the distraction that Rude was using against the Unknown Assassin and began to dominate the match.  UA would battle back but Mick Rude would run down to the ring to inform the ref about illegal conduct.  The Unknown Assassin was pushed back by the ref after illegally choking Tobias in the corner. Dykes used that time to nail Tobias in the head with his loaded canteen.  Mick Rude ran over as UA was making the cover but Dykes grabbed Rude’s leg preventing him from getting to the ring (and sacrificing himself in the process).  The ref counted to 3 just as Rude was asking the crowd if they wanted him to pop Dykes right in the mouth.  Dykes squirmed and pleaded just long enough for the Unknown Assassin to come to his aid and take down Rude.  UA hit Rude with multiple knee strikes blooding him up.  Dykes then grabbed UA’s arm and they left as security surrounded them (like a bubble) and got them to the back.  (11 min for the match; 5 for the aftermath)

Angry Jack Lawson is stopped on his way to the ring and he is asked if he is done with Outback Oscar and he says that he’ll be done with him when he’s good and ready.  Jack then storms off heading to the ring

It’s time for our Main Event.  First, the challenger Angry Jack Lawson heads down to the ring.  Just as he enters, he looks at ringside and sees Outback Oscar and the Crocodile Hunter sitting there in the front row.  Jack becomes infuriated.  The US Champion El Chango makes his way out to a pop from the crowd.  He heads down to the ring and upon entering the ring, nods his head in acknowledgement to Oscar and Croc.  He enters the ring only to have Jack immediately attack him.  El Chango sends Jack right out of the ring and Jack slams him hands repeatedly on the ring apron before re-entering.  Jack then rams El Chango right into the ringpost.  The champ shakes it off and keeps Jack on the defensive for the next few minutes.  Jack is then hurled out of the ring by El Chango and he lands right in front of Oscar and Croc.  Oscar throws his drink into Jack’s face (he was trying to help revive him – that’s his story) and Jack’s eyes go all wide and Oscar and Croc take off through the crowd with Jack chasing after them.  Jack ends up getting counted out and El Chango retains his title.   He celebrates with the fans as the show comes to an end.

Thanks for reading.  Stay tuned for more action.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2017 #594 (07/30)

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  We start off with the news that GM Max McGillicutty and newly promoted (to) GM Master Bull have collaborated and come up with names for the respective shows they are going to manage.  Max says that his show in Washington he will manage will be called “Tacaoma Thunder” and Bull will manage “Phoenix Heat”.

The show kicks off with a ladies match.  Sarona Reiher comes out first to a mixed reaction from the crowd.  Next, Jazz Emmett comes out and she receives much of the same.  Sarona had control for the majority of the match but only barely.  Jazz stayed with her till the end.  The match ends up hitting the 20 minute mark bringing this one to a time limit draw.  Both ladies left without any other incidents.

Covfefe is backstage.  ‘The Ragin Cajun’ Rad Gumbo sneaks up behind him and yanks off his mask.  Covfefe takes off like a scalded dog.  Rad, frustrated, throws the mask on the floor.

We head back to the ring for a challenge for a championship spot.  First, Drew the Canadian Love Machine comes out to a HUGE pop from the crowd.  Drew is challenging Superstar Chic Monroe for his spot in the World title lineup.  Chic comes out next and the crowd boos him.  I think this crowd is biased towards the CLM.  Drew and Chic went toe to toe for 6 minutes but after getting a near fall from hitting the Lover Bomb, Drew took off like crazy.  Drew keeps the offense going and nails a corkscrew pescado for another near fall.  Drew then bodyslams Chic and before the Superstar knew what was happening, Drew had rolled him up for the 1-2-3.  Drew wins the match much to the fans delight and is once again back in the World title hunt.  (13 min)

There is a confrontation backstage between the Muscles Trio and the 5th Column.  Baron von Blood taunts Muscles Thorpe with the fact that the Column is standing one step closer to regaining the 6 man titles.  Muscles McGuire steps in between them and says the only reason the Column has a win was they used a count out to their favor.  If they really want to see who the better team is, they should make this a no countout match.  Karl Braun agrees and says it will go to reflect the dominance their team brings.

We go back to the ring for our next match.  First, Pete (the former PUN-isher) Punsher comes out to little reaction from the crowd.  Ever since he gave up the puns, the fans have been pretty “meh” over him.   Next, 1/3 of the 6 Man champs comes out and it’s the Axe!  The fans pop for him and that just causes Pete to fume in the ring.  Pete tries to attack Axe before the bell but Axe just sends him over the top rope to the floor.  He laughs causing Pete to become even more irate.  Unfortunately for Pete, this was not his night. The Axe was all over him owning the entire match (scored 166 to 77).  Axe brought this to a close after he nailed Pete with a power punch and getting the pin at the 18 minute mark.  Pete rolls out of the ring and leaves as Axe celebrates in the ring before departing.

Angry Jack Lawson is backstage being interviewed and he is asked if the second match between him and Outback Oscar is going to be another quickie and chuckles. Jack looks at him and asks if he knows what it’s like lying on a slab in a morgue.  The reporter gulps and says no.  Jack says he best shut his trap unless he wants to find out.  He says the match between him and Oscar was a fluke and he’ll prove it tonight.  Jack shoves the reporter as he storms off.

Next up is match #2 in the Best of 5 between the Muscles Trio and the 5th Column. The Column are up by 1.  The Muscles Trio (McGuire, Thorpe and Weasley) come out first dressed in flashy attire and wearing their rainbow colored bull horns.  The fans (and kids) pop as they make their way down to the ring. The setting becomes more somber and the 5th Column (Baron von Blood, Oswald Zimmerman and Karl Braun) make their way down and mock the fans as they enter the ring.  This time, the Muscles Trio had the Column’s number and the Column (after the first few minutes of the match) had trouble keeping it together.  The Trio triple teamed their opponents multiple times.  Karl Braun and Oswald Zimmerman tried to walk off and get counted out but the ref told them to get back in the ring.  While that was going on, Muscles McGuire hits Baron von Blood with a Pendulum backbreaker and with no one to make the save, he scored the pin.  The Muscles Trio tie this one up 1 to 1.  (17 min)

Backstage, Ladies Champion Southern Belle is approached by Lexy Flexx.  Lexy introduces herself as the #1 contender and tonight, she goes from being a contender to the champion.  Belle tells her that words are useless unless backed up by something else and by looking at Lexy, she has nothing to back those words up.  Lexy slaps Belle and the two begin to scuffle until Max and security intervene.  Max tells Belle that he is giving their match a 30 minute time limit and making it a no DQ/CO match. Lexy smiles before walking off.

We go back to the ring for the next match.  Angry Jack Lawson storms out to the ring amidst the booing from the fans.  He paces in the ring as he waits for his opponent.  Outback Oscar comes out next and the fans pop huge for him.  He hi-fives with the fans as he makes his way down.  Jack doesn’t want to wait and rushes out to attack him.  The two brawl briefly before taking in into the ring.  Oscar was in control of the match for the most part until Jack hit him with a low blow that the ref didn’t see.  After that, Jack hit Oscar with practically everything but the kitchen sink.  Oscar began mounting a comeback and tried to lock in the Outback stretch but Jack powered out of it and then grabbed Oscar by the throat and hit a huge Angry Chokeslam.  Jack folded Oscar up like an accordion and got the 1-2-3.  Jack stands up and screams in victory.  Oscar recovered slowly and got to his feet.  He then mustered up some intestinal fortitude and hit Jack from behind with a dropkick that sent the angry one flying over the top rope.  Jack slammed his hands repeatedly on the mat but Oscar celebrated in the ring even though he lost.  (17 min)

‘The Ragin Cajun’ Rad Gumbo and his manager MJ are backstage watching the action on the big screen when Covfeve rushes in and attacks Rad.  MJ tried to help but ended up eating a big foot to his face.  Covfefe then picked up Rad and powerbombed him through the snacks table.  Security ran in but they were too late as Covfefe ran off.

It’s time for the main event.  First, the challenger Lexy Flexx makes her way down to the ring to a mixed reaction from the crowd.  Next, the Ladies Champion Southern Belle makes her way down and the fans pop huge for her.   Belle gets into Lexy’s face and holds the title inches away taunting her opponent.  Belle schooled her opponent teaching Lexy a thing or two.  Belle however, didn’t try to go for the pin or submission very often as she was forcing for Lexy to beat her.  Try as she might though, Lexy wasn’t able to keep offense going and it was all Belle.   Lexy finally got something going in the final moments of the match.  She hit the ropes and caught Belle with a front missile dropkick but had nothing in the tank to try to make a pin.  The bell rang bringing this one to a 20 minute draw.  Belle was handed back her title and celebrated her retaining the belt with the fans as the show comes to an end.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2017 #593

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  The show begins with the camera in the back watching a limo pull up.  Manager J C Dykes gets out first as security lines up protecting the way in from passersby.  The Unknown Assassin gets out, looks around and looks disgusted before entering the building.  The approach the match layout board and they notice that Unknown Assassin is not the main event.  Dykes storms into GM Max McGillicutty’s office demanding to know why his man is not in the main event.  Max laughs at him saying that once UA picks up a belt, MAYBE then he can be the main event.  Dykes says that once UA is done with Mick Rude, they are putting all champions on notice and UA will plow throw them one by one.  Dykes and the Unknown Assassin storm out of Max’s office.

Pyro goes off and our first match is ready to get underway.  Lexy Flexx makes her way out to the ring first to a pop from the crowd.  Next, manager Figgy Newton comes out and introduces Taylor Bella.  The ‘other’ Bella sister makes her way down to the ring but is booed the entire way.  Figgy gives her some words of wisdom as she climbs into the ring.  Lexy had control of the match but Taylor stayed right with her.  Finally, Figgy got involved hitting Lexy with his megaphone knocking her out.  Taylor then made the cover and hooked the leg to get the 1-2-3.  Taylor Bella gets the win and continues with her winning streak.  Figgy raised her arm in victory and the two left.  (9 min)

Dude USA Mick Rude is backstage and he’s pumped and ready for tonight’s match.  Clarkus Kentus asked him about J C Dykes running around causing trouble but Mick said he hopes Dykes sticks his nose in so he can tear it off.

We head back to the ring for the next match.  Hangman #3 comes out first and is booed.  Next, one third of the 6 Man Champions ScooterJ comes out to a pop from the crowd.  He holds his belt high over his head as he makes his way down to the ring.  He enters and just when Hangman #3 tried to attack him, ScooterJ pulled down the top rope and sent the masked man flying over and crashing to the floor.  ScooterJ took the next minute posing on the turnbuckle before the match finally kicked off.  ScooterJ controlled the latter part of the match barely allowing Hangman #3 to get any offense in at all.  Hangman #3 tried for a body press but ScooterJ caught him and held him (show of strength) before bodyslamming him to the mat. He made the cover and got the 3 count.  ScooterJ wins the match and takes his title all the while celebrating up the ramp.  (15 min)

Angry Jack Lawson storms into Max McGillicutty’s office and demands another match against Outback Oscar.  Max tells him tonight’s card is full but he can be on the next show.  Jack violently kicks a file cabinet before storming out.

In-ring action continues as manager Ant Graham makes his way out and introduces Mason the Mangler.  They head down to the ring as the fans throw whatever they could find at Ant.  Ant flips off the fans as Mason parades around the ring.  Next, music changes and Billy Robbins comes out to a pop from the crowd.  Once Billy got going and the crowd behind him, he really beat the tar out of Mason.  Ant, of course, tried to interfere but Billy got ahold of him and popped him a good one effectively taking him out of the rest of the match.  Billy then snapped, stunned and just plain overwhelmed Mason to the point where it was practically out on his feet.  Billy began to get frustrated when Mason would keep going to the ropes to break up the pin attempts.  Billy hit the ropes and came off with a flying body press.  This time, he hooked the leg securely and in the middle of the ring, got the 1-2-3.  Billy Robbins gets the clean win over Mason.  Billy celebrates and leaves.  Mason eventually goes to gather up Ant Graham and help the disoriented manager to the back.  (19 min)

Texas Wildfire is backstage and says that the talent in HCW continues to grow and he’s happy to be part of such a great organization.  He says that he has still quite a bit to accomplish in HCW so it’s only a matter of time before he’s in the hunt for SOME title.

Dude USA Mick Rude comes out to a pop from the crowd.  He gets in the ring and wastes no time yelling for the Unknown Assassin to get his ass out there.  The Honorable J C Dykes comes out and tells Rude to cool his heels.  Security comes out lining the ramp.  Debris starts to be hurled down towards the ramp.  Dykes takes a mic and says the Unknown Assassin won’t come out until the sheep settle down.  They don’t.  The security guards then hand sets of poles to the guards on the other side and they extend the poles extending a makeshift canopy.  The canopy deflects a lot of the debris.  Dykes motions for the Unknown Assassin to come out and he’s (relatively) protected from flying cups, pretzels with mustard on them and assorted leftover nachos.  UA comes out and makes his way down to the ring.  He stops short as the ref pleads with the fans to cease their junk throwing so that the match could get underway.  They finally relent and the match begins.  The two battle and it’s like a war.  The Unknown Assassin beats Mick Rude down but like the USA he represents, he battles back with such ferocity.  The two do this for the entire 20 minutes of the match not even taking time to go for pin or submission attempts.  Finally, the bell rings bringing this one to a draw finish but neither are through with each other.  They continue to fight until the locker room empties and the wrestlers try to get and keep the two competitors separate. They mostly fail.  After catching Rude with an eye poke, UA hit Rude with some hard forearm shots.  The roster finally gets UA off of Mick and out of the ring.  Only 3 people remained in the ring with Mick while the rest of the roster got UA out of there.  (20 min for the match; 10 additional for the aftermath)

A beat up Ant Graham is backstage with Dr. Red Fang.  Graham tells the Fiend that Fang will continue to unleash hell on earth until he is given a rematch.  Fang looks at the camera and screams “VAMPIRE LUNGES FOR EVERYONE!”

We head back to the ring for the next match.  Otto Ruthless comes out first and walks down to the ring while the ring crew are still trying to clean up from the previous match.  Next, Texas Wildfire comes out and the fans pop really loud for him.  He shakes hands with many of the fans as he heads down to the ring and slides under the bottom rope.  He then climbs the turnbuckle as the fans continue to pop.  He finally jumps down and the match is ready to begin.  For about 11 minutes, Otto and TW went toe to toe with neither giving the other any headway.  TW started to pull away after he went for two pin attempts after locking in a standing armbar.   After eating a vertical suplex from Otto, TW nailed a superplex.  TW got up and motioned for Otto to get to his feet.  After struggling to get upright, TW hits Otto with a snap powerslam.  He makes the cover and gets the 1-2-3.  Texas Wildfire gets the win and a pop from the crowd.  He shakes hands with more fans as he leaves.

The Hardcore Champion the Fiend is backstage and says he’s moved on from Dr. Red Fang.  Tonight, he takes on Mr. Wrestling #5.  When asked about the threat from Ant Graham earlier, the Fiend called them attention whores and reiterated he is through with Fang.  “It’s time for new challenges and challengers.”

It’s time for the main event.  Mr. Wrestling #5 comes out first to a decent pop from the crowd.  The Misfits music plays and the Fiend comes out to the second loudest reaction of the night.  The Fiend enters the ring and holds the Hardcore title in the face of MW5 before climbing the turnbuckles to pose with his belt.  He finally hands it over and is asked what rules he wants for tonight’s match.  He responds with “ECW Rules”.  After two minutes of the Fiend controlling the match, Ant Graham comes out and stands on the stage.  MW5 then hits two consecutive belly to back suplexes and took control of the match.  7 minutes in, the Fiend connects with the Last Caress but only gets a 1 count.  MW5 battled back and nailed a suplex onto thumbtacks.  Ant makes his way down to the ring behind the back of the ref and then cold cocks him from behind incapacitating him.  Once the ref was back awake, the Fiend hit the Project 1950 but didn’t have it in the tank to go for a pin.  The Fiend goes for the Project 1950 again but it’s reversed into a front chancery and a pin attempt from MW5 getting a 2 count.  The Fiend gets his hands on an empty chair and blasts MW5 with it. He goes for the pin but MW5 makes it to the ropes at the last moment.  We join the match at the 22 min mark.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2017 #592

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  Today’s show will be a bit shorter due to our main event being such a big deal.  World Tag Team Champions the Steel Curtain (Buzz and Starbuck Steel) defend their titles in triple threat match against the Smashers and Hoff n Spicy.  GM Max McGillicutty states that if the Curtain lose the belts, they will be out of the title picture for a whole YEAR.  The person who gets pinned (who is representing the other teams) and his partner will be removed from the title picture until he (Max) feels they are ready to represent again.  It seems Max has it out for the champs but wants to make sure to bring out the best in all teams.

Our show kicks off with a match to determine who gets the next shot at the 6 man tag team titles.  First, the 5th Column (Karl Braun, Oswald Zimmerman and Baron von Blood) come out and get booed.  Next, the Muscles Trio comes out (Muscles Thorpe, Weasley and McGuire) and they are wearing their rainbow colored bull horns running around acting all goofy.  They make it to the ring and the Column attack them kicking this one off right away.  The Muscles trio fought back and were beating the tar out of the Column until Baron tripped McGuire and he fell face first on the bottom turnbuckle.  Oswald then tossed McGuire out of the ring and while the Baron and Karl knocked Thorpe and Weasley from the ring, the ref counted to 10 and counted McGuire out.  The 5th Column get the win and appear to be going on to get a title shot at the 6 man titles.  Muscles Thorpe stops them from the ring with mic in hand and challenges them to a best of 5 match to see who REALLY gets to go to the PPV.  Braun says they beat them fair and square but then GM Max McGillicutty comes out and says that a countout is a pretty lousy way to win something important so he tells the 5th Column that they can either restart the match tonight or they can agree to the best of 5.  After some complaining, they finally agreed.  The 5th Column then stormed off.  (13 ½ min).

Max remains on stage after the Muscles leave and announces that once HCW officially expands into Tacoma, WA, he will take over managing that show and Master Bull will once again resume his former GM duties and will remain behind and manage the Phoenix part of the show.  It was determined that once WA is confirmed, he and Master Bull will hold a draft and draw names for their respective shows.  The champs will continue to defend the titles across both shows (one will be Sun and the other on Wed).

Our next match is ready to kick off and MJ comes out first.  Over the loudspeakers blares “Gumbo 7:30 says it’s suppa time bitch!” and the Ragin Cajun Rad Gumbo comes out to a mixed reaction from the crowd.  He and MJ head down to the ring.  Next, Ant Graham comes out and introduces his new guy – Covfefe.  The towering giant comes out masked and dressed in all black.  He makes his way down to the ring slowly, as if he was building up suspense for his entry into the ring.  He immediately attacks Rad who fights back.  Covfefe executes a wrenching armbar but Rad tosses him out of the ring where he paces stalling for time. He gets back in the ring and locks in another wrenching armbar.  Ant Graham climbs on the apron like he was going to give Covfefe something but MJ grabbed him preventing him from doing whatever dastardly feat he was trying to pull off.  The ref came over to separate the two managers and MJ took a swing at Ant but Ant ducked and MJ popped the ref good.  The ref immediately disqualified Rad for managerial interference awarding the match to Covfefe.  Rad was not happy and he jumped Covfefe and locked in a cottonmouth clutch.  Covfefe thrashed around swinging Rad all over the ring.  He ended up getting free enough to hit a black hole slam.  He then nailed Rad with a Big Splash.  Ant laughed at the carnage and he escorted Covfefe to the back.  (2 min for the match; 5 additional for the segment)

Dude USA Mick Rude returns backstage and meets with Max and demands a match against The Unknown Assassin again.  Max says he will make it happen again.

We’re ready for the next match.  First, Wendell Hammerschmidt comes out to a pop from the crowd.  Next, the rowdy Russian Ivan Dragovich who is booed as he makes his way down to the ring.  Wendell was in control for most of the match but after Ivan connected with a sickle sending Wendell out of the ring, things got a little dicey.  Wendell made it back in at 9.  Ivan then rushed the ropes going for another sickle but Wendell ducked and went for the Red Arrow but Ivan reversed that and went for a release german suplex but Wendell reversed that and hit a german suplex of his own.  He made the cover and got the 3 count.  Wendell gets the win in 18 minutes.

Backstage, The Steel Curtain speak out against the injustices by the tyrant Max McGillicutty.  Buzz says that the GM has had it in for them since the very beginning even when they pandered to the fans.  Starbuck adds that Max can continue to put them in the Kobayashi Maru all he wants but they, like a certain captain, will find a way to win.

We head back to the ring for the TV title defense.  First, Phat Sol comes out to a huge pop from the crowd.  Next, TV Champion Biceps Bannerman comes out and he’s in a foul mood.  Biceps starts off with chops to the chest of Phat (WOOOOO!) and Phat hits him with a jaw jacker that stunned the big man.  Biceps then accidentally (or purposely) then whipped Phat into the ref taking him out.  Biceps then went and grabbed a chair after fighting with a fan to take it from them.  Finally, he gets back in the ring only to see the ref begin to stir.  He then tosses the chair to Phat who catches it just as the ref looks up.  He sees Phat with the chair and calls for the DQ.  Phat tried to say he didn’t use it but the ref says “I know what I saw.”  Biceps takes his title and leaves but not before Max comes out.  Max says the ref didn’t see what transpired but he did.  Biceps can have this win but he’s not through with Phat Sol.  Max says Phat will get a rematch in one month at the Reign of Champions PPV.  Biceps tries to complain but Max walks off.  (2 min for the match; 5 additional for the segment)

Manager Figgy Newton is backstage with the team of Hoff n Spicy (Davis Hoffmeister and DJ CJ Spice) and Davis says they are excited to finally to take out what was perceived as the two top teams in HCW.  Once they take the titles, they will be the dominant team in all wrestling.  DJ CJ adds in that no team with any real competition can’t match them on their record.  They will continue to dominate the tag team scene and before you know it, they WILL be wearing gold.

Starbuck is backstage and his way is blocked by Smasher #1.  S1 starts to get mouthy and begins to push Starbuck. Starbuck sucker punches Smasher #1 but ends up getting pushed into DJ CJ who was walking by.  “Watch what you’re doing you moron.”  Starbuck says “blow it out your pie hole”.  The three begin to scuffle and Max breaks it up.  Max says that the three of them are OUT of the match tonight and it will be Buzz, Smasher #2 and the Hoff representing their teams.  The stipulation still stands that whoever is pinned is out of future title contentions and if the champs lose, they do not get another title shot for a whole YEAR.

It’s time for our very unique main event.  Representing the Smashers is Smasher #2.  Representing Hoff n Spicy is Davis Hoffmeister.  Finally, representing the tag team champions is Buzz Steel.  Max comes out saying it will be a no countout 60 minute match.  Each person in this match beat the crap out of the others.  It was crazy what all three men brought to this match.  Each person got injured during the match but each recovered and continued to fight.  Also during the 60 minute iron man match, each person’s tag team partner came down to provide “support” for their teammate.  Starbuck came down and hit Smasher #2 with a slingshot suplex.  Smasher #1 dropped Davis with the Fall of Man and DJ CJ took out Starbuck with a bulldog.  After the teammates were all removed from the ring, Buzz, Davis and Smasher #1 continued to fight…all the way to the 60 minute time limit.  As time was running down, Smasher #2 was getting his offense going and Buzz dropped to his knees offering friendship.  Once Smasher #2 was distracted by this, Buzz poked him in the eye.  Right after that, the bell rang bringing this 60 minute war to an end.  GM Max McGillicutty came out and said that he “scored” the match but with no pin or submission, the belts won’t change hands so the Steel Curtain are still the champs.  He now has to decide is it the Smashers or Hoff n Spicy that are out of the tag team picture.  Max thought long and hard and said that Davis did better than Smasher #2 so he’s allowing Hoff n Spicy to remain in the title picture whereas the Smashers are out…for now.   Smasher #1 joined Smasher #2 in the ring to confront Max but DJ CJ and Starbuck Steel came out and hit double dropkicks on the Smashers sending them tumbling out of the ring.  The champs and Hoff n Spicy then had a face off in the middle of the ring as the show comes to an end.

Stay tuned for more action.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2017 #591

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.   Well, this has been a very busy week for GM Max McGillicutty and the HCW owners as they dig deeper into the expansion of HCW into the Tacoma, WA market.  Because of all that, only one show was able to take place this week.  Hopefully next week will get back on the 2 show schedule but Max has his hands full and things may prove to be a challenge over the next few weeks.

The show starts off with a backstage vignette.  Master Bull is sitting in a room by himself singing “Nobody knows the troubles I’ve seen”.  Bull enlightens us with a story about how, at the age of 13, he would be an energetic teenager and while playing on the softball field, he would work up a thirst.  His dad would happily feed him beer.  He’s been hooked ever since.  He takes a swig of his beer and goes back to moping.

After that depressing moment, the show kicks off with a bang with pyro going off.  First, Talon McFrost comes out to a mixed reaction from the crowd.  Next, over the loudspeakers blares “VAMPIRE LUNGES FOR EVERYONE!” and out comes the hated vampire bot Dr. Red Fang along with the even more despised manager Ant Graham.    Fang snarls and growls at the fans as he makes his way down and into the ring.  Graham tells Fang to attack and attack he/it does.  Talon didn’t put up much of a fight and in just 3 minutes, Fang trapped Talon in a spider web lock and McFrost had no choice but to tap out.  Dr. Red Fang gets the win but he doesn’t let up.  He continues beating Talon down and hits him with a Vampire Lunge followed up by a Transylvania Piledriver.  Graham takes the ref out and Fang locks Talon back in the spider web lock and as Talon screamed in pain, Graham gets on the mic calling out the Fiend telling him that this will continue to happen until the good Dr gets his rematch.  Fang takes the mic and in a creepy but slow voice, says “Vampire Lunges for Everyone.”  Fang and Graham leave.

King Wilber says he’ll deal with Sonic Blade all in good time but tonight, he is defending his title against family…real family in the shape of the giant Mountain Man Junior Huber.  Wilber tells Junior he needs to do what is right for the family and expects Junior to do the ‘right thing’.

It’s time for our next match.  Terra Ryzing comes out first and is booed.  Next, Leon Teremoto makes his way out and he surprisingly gets a pop from the crowd.  Terra took the match to Leon for 12 minutes but after Leon nailed a powerbomb, the match turned into his favor and he just began to annihilate Terra.  Terra wasn’t able to get much in the way of offense.  Leon locked Terra in a Gorilla Hug and almost got the submission but Terra eye raked him and made it to the safety of the ropes.  Just as the time was getting ready to run out, Terra locked in a hammerlock and Leon hit him with a spinebuster.  He tried to go for the pin but the bell rang bringing this one to a 20 min draw.  Terra took off not wanting to deal with Leon anymore.  Leon celebrated with the fans before departing.

Backstage, Figgy Newton is with Hoff n Spicy and says that they are going to continue their winning ways when they continue to move up the tag team rankings until the Steel Curtain have no choice but to give them another title match.  Hoff and DJ then lean in and say “WORD” and then have a laugh.

We go back to the ring for our next match.  Outback Oscar comes out first to a pop from the fans.  Next, Angry Jack Lawson comes out next to a reverse reaction from the crowd.  Jack starts off with a scoop slam but Oscar reverses it going for knee lifts to the midsection but Jack reverses that and hurls Oscar out of the ring.  Oscar is back in by the 8 count.  Oscar ducks a clothesline and locks in the Outback Stretch.  Trapped in the middle of the ring and nowhere to go, Jack taps out.  2 minutes in and this one is over.  Oscar celebrates but then is blasted by Jack from behind and hurled out of the ring.  Jack storms off.  Oscar eventually makes his way to the back.

Phat Sol is backstage and runs into his former tag team partner ‘Red Hot’ Lucas Johnston.  They talk about the old days of them teaming and Chic Monroe and Bishop Ripley walk over and call them old and has-beens.  Phat ask Lucas if, for old time’s sake, they want to team up to teach these two a lesson and Lucas says “Sure, why not.”  Bishop curls his lip at them and he and Chic walk off.

Manager MJ comes out first and then introduces Perfect Pecs Stoddard and Red McNulty.  They collectively head down to the ring.  Next, Figaroa Newton comes out and he introduces Hoff n Spicy and the fans pop HUGE!  Davis Hoffmeister and DJ CJ Spice join their manager on stage and then head down to the ring.  Typically Davis starts off but DJ CJ insisted.  Right off the bat, he locked Red in a guillotine choke but Pecs made the save.  Davis then gets tagged in and nails Red with a piledriver.  He goes for the pin only getting a one count and tags back out.  Davis and DJ CJ did this for the match and it frustrated MJ and his team.  8 minutes in, Davis locks Red in a camel clutch but he doesn’t tap.  He then hit a monkey flip and rolled Red up while DJ CJ hits Pecs with a forearm shot knocking him from the apron.  The count is made and Hoff n Spicy add another win to their impressively growing winning ways.  Figgy, Hoff and DJ CJ all left the ring while MJ confronted his team in the ring.  MJ tells them that this isn’t working and that he has to let them go.  Pecs and Red push MJ down and then laugh and walk off.

Backstage, Junior Huber is with his siblings Butch and Ferb and asks what he should do about cousin Wilber.  Butch tells Junior that blood is thicker than water but obtaining GOLD is worth every drop of blood.  Ferb says that Wilber told him to do what is right (presumably to lay down without lifting a finger) but says that no Huber has ever held a World title and tonight, that becomes a strong possibility if Junior can win.

We head back to the ring as Chic Monroe and Bishop Ripley make their way out to the ring.  Even though Prestige Inc is dead and it was they who dumped Master Bull, the fans still didn’t like them.  Next, Phat Sol and ‘Red Hot’ Lucas Johnston come out to a huge pop.  The match was a true wrestling show like none other.  All 4 men gave it their all with Chic and Bishop being in control for most of the match but once Phat and Lucas figured out how to work again as a team (they’ve been doing the singles scene as of late), they really took it to Chic and Bishop to the point where they almost turned the tides.  Just as the time limit was getting ready to run out, Lucas nailed repeated dropkicks on Chic but he managed to hit a diving headbutt.  He went to make the cover but before he even got a 1 count, the bell rang bringing this one to a 30 minute draw.  Chic and Bishop left while Lucas and Phat celebrated with the fans before departing.

Master Bull makes his way to Max’s office and knocks on the door before entering.  Master Bull, with no one left to manage, asks Max if, once the split happens, if he can stay and run the Phoenix show while Max runs the Tacoma show.  Max agrees but Bull has to sign a ton of documents to ensure he doesn’t go power hungry or skim profits again (he said those days were over).

It’s time for our Main Event:  King Wilber vs Junior Huber with the World title on the line.  First, Junior Huber, a mountain of a man, comes out first and is mostly booed.  Next, King Wilber Townsend comes out and is 100% booed.  He walks down the ring to his creepy music and enters the ring.  Wilber walks over to Junior and tells him to do what is right and then steps back.  Junior looks around and then lays down in the ring.  The bell rings and Wilber makes the cover.  The ref counts (really fast) 1..2…KICKOUT!  Junior POWERS out of the pin with such force.  Wilber is astonished and can’t believe it.  Wilber asks what Junior is doing and Junior begins to just blast Wilber much to the delight of the fans.  The match then officially begins.

Referee is 'Fast Count' Frank (+1)

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2017 #590

Hello fans and welcome back to another action paced issue of the HCW Wrestling Newsletter.  We knew the show was going to be a good one when, before anything even began, there was an altercation backstage between Ladies Champion Southern Belle and Ravishing Raquel.  Both women almost came to blows with Reid pulling Raquel aside and Sonic Blade stepping in front of Belle.  GM Max McGillicutty rushes over questioning what the hell was going on.  Belle went on about how Raquel was jealous of her and tried taking her belt.  Raquel told Belle she was delusional and must have hit her head one too many times.  Max yelled “ENOUGH” but both women went at each other again.  Reid and Sonic Blade then almost came to blows.  Max got security (borrowed it from the Unknown Assassin’s entourage) in there and separated everyone.  Max then said that Raquel is being yanked out of the 6 Man tournament tonight and she was pissed.  Max says she gets to team up with her husband tonight in a mixed tag team against Southern Belle and Sonic Blade.  If Belle and Sonic lose, Belle will be stripped of her belt and Sonic will lose his title shot against King Wilber.  HOWEVER, if Reid and Raquel lose, they are OUT of HCW!  Reid tried to complain but Max walked off.

The show kicks off with our first match of the night.   Dude USA Mick Rude comes out first to a decent pop from the crowd.   Security comes out lining the ramp and the Honorable J C Dykes comes out and introduces his charge “the Once and FUTURE Champion…the Unknown Assassin”.  Dykes leads the Unknown Assassin down to the ring lined with security guards to keep the “riff-raff” away.  UA beat Mick Rude down but Dude USA started to “hulk up” when the fans began a USA…USA chant.  Dykes panicked and did what he could but Rude fought a good fight.  Finally, the bell rang bringing this one to a draw.  Dykes got on the apron and began mouthing off to Mick.  Mick grabbed him by the collar and popped him a good one.  He turned around and the Unknown Assassin blasted Mick with a knee strike and once down, began pummeling Mick with forearm shots to Mick’s eardrums.  The Unknown Assassin just blasted away and the security that was waiting for him on the ramp now ran in to protect Mick Rude.  They finally got UA off of Mick and he and Dykes stood their laughing at Rude.  They eventually left but with no security to protect them, they got hit with a LOT of flying debris.

Taking Ravishing Raquel’s place in the 6 man match will be the Axe.  He is backstage with ScooterJ and TNT.  Axe says “It’s Clobberin’ time!”  ScooterJ says that Prestige Inc got lucky at the PPV but their luck runs out tonight.

We go back to the ring for our next match which is for the 6 Man titles.  First, ScooterJ, the Axe and TNT all make their way down to a pop from the crowd.  Next, Master Bull leads Prestige Inc. (Jesse California, Chic Monroe & Bishop Ripley) to the ring and they hold their titles high.  Master Bull provides some last minute words of wisdom but is interrupted when the ref explains that this will be a No DQ/CO match with no time limit.  Bull seemed really happy about that.  He then stated that they are using strategy pin rules and he began to frown.  The challengers immediately took the match to the champs and by 15 minutes in, they had a solid lead over Prestige Inc.  Confidence running perhaps a bit too high and ScooterJ got hit by Chic’s straight jacket suplex.  Chic went for the pin but ScooterJ kicked out at the last second.  Axe and TNT joined ScooterJ in beating down Chic who tagged out to Bishop who then got triple teamed and after his beatdown, tagged Jesse in.  Jesse caught the Axe with a superkick but Axe fell out of the ring to avoid getting pinned.  ScooterJ is tagged in and Jesse goes for a standing dropkick but ScooterJ reverses it and hits a piledriver for a one count.  Both teams did some more double and triple teaming until it was just Chic vs the Axe.   Chic goes for the knee to the gut but Axe reverses it and nearly takes Chic’s head off with a forearm uppercut.  ScooterJ jumps in and hits a flying bodypress on Jesse taking him out.  TNT nailed Bishop with a spear taking him out.  Axe makes the cover and Bull watches in horror as the refs hand hits the mat 1…2…3!  Axe, ScooterJ and TNT get the win and are the NEW 6 Man Tag Team Champions!  The ref hands them their belts and they stay and celebrate as Bull and Prestige Inc. leave.  (28 min)

Master Bull is backstage and goes off on Prestige Inc.  He begins to berate them one by one and each one of them says “it is not worth it anymore” and they each quit.  Prestige Inc has just IMPLODED!  Bull stands there in total shock as the team disintegrates in front of his eyes.

Backstage, Ice Dagger is getting ready for his match when his manager Ant Graham walks over.  Ant says “Yo Ice D to the … nevermind.  Just wanted to let you know something before you went down to the ring.  YOU’RE FIRED!”  Ice Dagger looks confused.  “What?” he asks.  Ant smiles.  “You totally suck and I no longer want to manage you.  I’m firing you.  HAHA.”  Ice Dagger gets pissed and grabs Ant by the collar.  “Really?  You’re firing me?  You couldn’t manage your way out of a paper bag.  AND you disrespect me like this?  Why don’t we head down to the ring right now and settle this.”  Ant pulls away and says “Oh yeah, we’ll settle this.  Why don’t you head down now and I’ll follow momentarily.  Ice Dagger storms off.

Ice Dagger storms down to the ring and demands a mic.  “Ok you worthless sack of slime…get your ass out here now.”  Ant comes out and stands on stage.  “Oh, I didn’t mention that I am not fighting you but the newest member…and BETTER…of the Graham family will.”  Ant extends his hand in the direction of the stage and out comes…COVFEFE!  Covfefe walks to the ring with a purpose and gets in the ring.  Ice Dagger goes right at him but Covfefe beats him down.  Ice Dagger got in some good licks and even attempted to go after his former manager but Covfefe recovered enough to prevent it.  Graham then told Covfefe to go to town and he beat the HOLY HELL out of Ice Dagger.  He went for multiple pins but pulled Ice Dagger up each time.  Finally, Graham signaled for Covfefe to end it and he nailed Ice Dagger with a piledriver.  Covfefe made the cover and got the 1-2-3.  Covfefe then kicks Ice Dagger out of the ring.  Graham enters and celebrates with Covfefe before departing.  (21 min; 131 to 76)

Backstage, Master Bull approaches Reid and Raquel and says that the core team needs to stick together as it’s all falling apart.  Raquel gets in Bull’s face and tells him his services are not needed tonight as Team Elite has this one in the bag.

We go back to the ring for our next match.  Kimberly Kiccass comes out first to a decent pop from the crowd.  Next, Court member Lady Hermann comes out accompanied by the Duchess.  They walk down to the ring together but the ref stops the Duchess telling her she cannot be at ringside.  He sends her to the back before the match can begin.  Her Ladyship had control of the first few moments of the match but then Kimberly, well, kicked her ass.  Lady Hermann started a comeback that had her laying down some chops to Kim’s chest (WOOOOO) but Kimberly set her up on the top turnbuckle and then arm dragged her down to the mat with a thunderous smash.   A woozy Lady Hermann got up but Kimberly nailed her with a Toronto Slam.  Kimberly made the cover and got the 1-2-3.  Kimberly lives up to her name and stands proud in the ring as Lady Herman made her way to the back.  (15 min)

GM Max McGillicutty comes out to prepare us for our main event.  He goes over the stipulations:  If Belle and Sonic Blade lose, she loses her title and Sonic loses his future shot at the world title.  If Raquel and Reid lose, they are out of HCW.   Just on cue, Ravishing Raquel and Reid Rothchild come out first and give Max a nasty look as they head down to the ring.  Next, Sonic Blade comes out and he waits as the Ladies Champion appears on stage and they head down to the ring together.  Reid tries to start something before the bell but is sent to his corner by the ref.  Once all 4 wrestlers are in the ring, it begins with Raquel taking on Belle.  Belle and Raquel spent most of the time in the ring.  Sonic Blade came in once but Belle would tag herself back in.  Reid only came in during double teaming as Raquel told him she had this.  We join the match now at the 16 min mark.

That’s all for now.  Stay tuned for more action.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2017 #589

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  The show begins with World Champion King Wilber Townsend walking out of GM Max McGillicutty’s office laughing.  As he walks away, the cameraman peers in and asks what that was about.  Max tells us that Texas Wildfire is getting his rematch tonight but there is a stipulation attached.  When pressed what it was, he said he was not at liberty to discuss it as his Lordship wants to make that special announcement later tonight.

Pyro goes off and our first match is ready to kick off the show.  Billy Robbins makes his way down to the ring first and then the lights go dim as Ant Graham leads Mason the Mangler down to the ring.  Mason goes right on the offensive. After two minutes, Billy took control of the match and started taking it to Mason.  Ant didn’t like this and climbed up on the ring apron.  He yelled at the ref who yelled back telling him to back down and Ant then shoved him.  The ref rings the bell awarding the match to Billy Robbins via disqualification.  Mason tried to attack him afterwards but was sent out of the ring via dropkick.  Graham, still arguing on the apron gets brought into the ring the hard way.  Graham has the look of fear in his eyes as Billy picks him up by the collar threatening to blast him but Dr. Red Fang and Ice Dagger run down and beat Billy down before he could lay a hand on the meddlesome manager.  Graham called his team together and they hastily departed after Robbins had grabbed a chair threatening to use it.  (5 min for the match; 5 for the additional segment)

We’re backstage with three members of Prestige Inc.:  Manager Master Bull, Reid Rothchild and the NEW Elitist Champion Ravishing Raquel.  Raquel says that she proved that a woman can do anything a man can and (holds the Elitist title) this is the proof.  However, to avoid any future tension with her husband Reid, she is RETIRING the belt.  (Reid and Bull are flabbergasted).  Raquel then turns to Bull and says that he has been nothing but toxic for Reid and her and tonight, she throws out the challenge that she will be teaming with ScooterJ and TNT to challenge Prestige Inc for the 6 Man titles.  Bull flips out.  Reid questions what she is doing but she smiles and leaves.  Reid and Bull go after her.

Our next match is ready to kick off as Ant Graham leads Ice Dagger down to the ring (to his horrendous musak (Ice Dagger Baby).  Thankfully the tune comes to an end when Mr. Wrestling #5 makes his way out and down to the ring.  The fans pop.  Graham got in some cheap hits that he paid the price for when MW5 turned the tables on him.  5 had the match mostly in control and the end came after MW5 powered out of the Yukon Cloverleaf and caught Ice Dagger with an elbow smash.  MW5 made the cover and got the 3 count.  Mr. Wrestling #5 wins the match and now Graham is 0-2 for the night.  Graham and Ice Dagger depart as MW5 celebrates with the fans before departing.  (17 min)

Backstage, Figgy Newton is with Hoff n Spicy (Davis Hoffmeister and DJ CJ Spice) and says that the World Tag Team Champs can continue to run and hide but they will continue to pursue.  The only way to do that is to continue to challenge the roster and make a name for themselves.  Davis says that tonight, they are challenging the Smashers for their shot in the Tag Team line up.  DJ CJ adds in that once they defeat them, the so called champs won’t be able to overlook them…again.

Match #3 is ready to begin.  The Duchess makes her way out first and is booed.  She doesn’t care.   Her opponent comes out next and it’s Scarlett Phoenix and she gets a pop from the crowd that and seems to infuriate the Duchess.  In the beginning, Scarlett looked strong but then the Duchess kicked things into high gear and started to own the match.  About 10 minutes in, Scarlett hit the Black Widow and things started to change in her favor.  The Duchess began to panic as Scarlett’s offense got stronger and stronger.  She then motioned to the back and Lady Hermann, a member of her Court, came out.  The Duchess tossed Scarlett out of the ring and then distracted the ref.  Lady Hermann attacked Scarlett beating her down.  She hopped the railing and hid from sight.  The ref began to count and once he reached 10 and Scarlett wasn’t’ able to make it back in, he awarded the match to the Duchess via countout.  Duchess paraded around the ring and then was joined by Lady Hermann and the two celebrated and mocked the fans before leaving.  (17 ½ min)

5th Column member Karl Braun came out and was spouting some anti-US rhetoric when Phat Sol came out.  Phat told Braun to shut it and was challenging him right now for his spot in the TV title line up.  Braun, not happy with the interruption, said he’d be happy to oblige and will continue his rant once he disposes of this RUNT.  Phat was on fire and all the “USA” chants he got kept Braun off his game.  Phat fought out of a Gestapo Drop and nailed Karl with a bodyslam.  Phat made the cover and the 3 count arrived (maybe a little sooner than expected) and Phat Sol gets the win.  Phat is now the #1 contender for Biceps Bannerman’s TV title.  We wish him good luck.  (10 min)

Texas Wildfire is backstage and says that tonight, he gets his rematch.  He can’t believe he underestimated Wilber and Sonic and thought having Drew the Canadian Love Machine in his corner was going to make a difference.  He knows Drew has a lot on his mind right now so he feels bad for putting him in that spot.  TW says he will not underestimate Wilber again and that confidence will bring the World title back to him.

We go back to the ring for our next match.  Figaroa ‘Figgy’ Newton comes out first and introduces Hoff n Spicy who come out to a huge pop from the crowd.  The three make their way down to the ring.  Next, defending their ‘spot’ are the Smashers (Smasher #1 and #2).   They look angry enough to inflict some serious damage.  The Smashers were owning their challengers until the Tag Team Champions the Steel Curtain (Buzz and Starbuck Steel) came out and stood on the ramp scouting.  Hoff n Spicy then kicked it into high gear and began taking it to the Smashers.  Just as the 30 minute time limit was going to be reached, the Curtain made their way down to the ring.  That is when all hell broke loose.  Starbuck and Buzz decided to interfere going after Davis and Smasher #1.  Smasher #2 was busy choking DJ CJ in the corner and then Figgy JUMPED into the ring and HOPPED on Smasher #2’s back!   Smasher #2 was thrashing around like a wild bronco trying to get Figgy off his back.  Finally he flung him off and was thankfully caught by CJ.  The DJ extraordinaire then slapped a guillotine choke on Smasher #2.  Davis and Buzz slugged it out while Smasher #1 beat down on Starbuck.  The Curtain’s manager the Ambassador finally made it down and got Starbuck a steel chair that he used on Smasher #1.  Buzz left Davis and went after Smasher #1 and DJ CJ.  Davis recovered and caught a charging Starbuck with a dropkick and he took the chair to the face.   Buzz hurled Smasher #2 from the ring and then hit CJ with the Buzzkill.  Smasher #2 got back in and hit Buzz with the Fall of Man.  Davis got in the ring and hit Smasher #1 with a missile dropkick.  Davis helped up DJ and the two stood back to back with the Curtain on opposite sides of the ring and the Smashers on the other (one on each side of the ring).  Max then came out and quickly put an end to this.  Max says he doesn’t appreciate the Curtain interfering in other matches and says that the next title defense will be Iron Man style and will be against BOTH the Smashers AND Hoff n Spicy!  The Curtain are livid but Max walks off.  Eventually all the team left.  (30 min for the match; 10 additional for the segment)

King Wilber, the World Champion, calls over his lackey Sonic Blade and tells him he has some news for him.  Wilber tells Sonic (and us) that Texas Wildfire has demanded his rematch tonight for the World title.  Wilber says he’s takin’ it one further.  Wilber got Sonic Blade to be the special guest referee in tonight’s match.  Wilber tells Sonic that if he calls it ‘the right way’, Wilber will grant him his freedom.  If he does not, he will be part of the ‘family’ until the day he dies.  Wilber walks away laughing while a stoic Sonic Blade looks on.  Max walks up to him and hands him a piece of paper and the ref’s shirt and walks away.  Sonic reads it and smiles.

It’s time for our MAIN EVENT.  Sonic Blade comes out first dressed in a referee’s shirt.  Next, Texas Wildfire comes out to the loudest pop of the night.  Next, the World Champion King Wilber Townsend comes out and he’s on a throne and being carried to the ring by other lackeys.  Wilber gets into the ring and does a proud processional flaunting his title in TW’s face.   Wilber begins to remove his robe and Sonic calls for the bell.  Wilber looks a bit perturbed as he wasn’t ready.  Wilber connected with the GTS early on and Sonic made a slow count much to the dismay of Wilber.  Wilber threatened Sonic to “do it right”.  TW nailed a leaping DDT and Sonic made a fast count but Wilber kicked out.  Wilber threatened Sonic again.  By the 10 minute mark, it looked like TW was going to regain his belt but after getting hurled out of the ring and then having his back slammed against the steel post, his offense became limited.  Wilber would hit the GTS and then when making a pin, he would yank on TW’s hair pulling him up at the last minute laughing.  This went on for a couple of more minutes.  We join the match now at the 13 minute mark.

Texas Wildfire was pinned by King Wilber Townsend!!!

King Wilber Townsend wins with a HAMMERING BLOWS TO BACK over Texas Wildfire!!!

King Wilber retains his belt in true cheating fashion.  While Wilber is celebrating, Sonic Blade takes a mic and reminds Wilber that HE was the one who put Sonic in this position of authority and guess what, Wilber put his hands on an official.  Sonic says that as the official, he has the authority to reverse the match, disqualify Wilber or even strip him of his title.   Sonic says he played Wilber’s game and is now free from the family HOWEVER, he is NOT done with Wilber.  Sonic Blade then attacks and beats down on Wilber who had to flee from the ring to avoid further punishment.  Blade then says his last duty as a referee (under the authority granted to him by the GM) is to name Wilber’s next opponent and will be none other that HIM!
The fans pop and a bewildered Wilber looks on and Sonic stands tall in the ring with his arms raised.

With that, the show comes to an end.  Stay tuned as there is more action to come.
