HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2016 #487

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  Well, when it rains, it’s a deluge.  Dr. Red Fang is the new Hardcore Champion and even more unbelievable is that King CJ is the new World Champion.  After the last show, he was met backstage by reporter Larry Morton and when asked if he was going to be at the next show, his response was “Hell no…I’m going to Disney World!  But before I go, I have a little song to sing.”

(to the tune from “We are the Champions” by Queen)

i am THE champion, my friends
and I’ll keep on cheating…till the end
cause I am THE Champion; I am THE Champion
i have no time for you LOSERS cause I am THE Champion…of the World…. (drops the mic)

Our show kicked off with an 8 person elimination match to determine the #1 contender for the Ladies title.  Those participating were Ravishing Raquel, Lady Hermann, El Gato Negro, the Duchess, Kimberly Kiccass, Madame Jade, Southern Belle and Taylor Bella.  Even though technically Lady Hermann is the #1 contender, the Ladies Champion the British Crippler asked for this to happen.  Right off the bat, Southern Belle was eliminated and she was extremely frustrated.  Ravishing Raquel and Lady Hermann eliminated everyone else.  The two once again squared off in the ring but Queen Beckett came down and with a distraction, caused Raquel to get eliminated.  Lady Hermann is now the official #1 contender.  Her celebration was cut short when the Ladies Champ came out and announced that Lady Hermann was NOT getting the next shot but that was going to the Duchess.  She didn’t explain and she walked away.  Lady Hermann and Queen Beckett seemed confused and left the ring to go confront her.  (25 min)

Backstage, in his own private dressing room, Hardcore Champion and his manager Ant Graham are discussing something when a knock sounds from the door and in walks Clarkus Kentus.  “You dare disturb Dr. Red Fang Clarkus Kentus?!?! I should clothesline you out of your shoes! Everyone backstage better get in here and help you!”  Clarkus promptly leaves the room. Ant then presents Fang with a preview of the next wrestling magazine and he IS on the cover holding the Hardcore title.  Fang sort of smiles, snarls and exclaims “Vampire Lunges for Everyone!”

We head back to the ring for our next match.  First, Angry Jack Lawson makes his way to the ring.  He is then followed out by ‘Dude USA’ Mick Rude.  Just as the match was getting started, Angry Jack attacked and drove Mick out of the ring.  He then repeatedly bounced Mick’s head off the steel steps.  Mick just collapsed and Jack went back in the ring.  The ref counted to 10 and before we even got 30 seconds in, the match was over.  Angry Jack Lawson gets the win via countout.  A bunch of ‘suits’ run down to make sure Jack doesn’t do any more damage.  He laughs it off and leaves.  (25 seconds)

We head backstage again where ‘The Elitist’ Reid Rothchild is with his manager Master Bull. Reid proposes a match between him and Ivan.  Reid says he will step into Ivan’s world and propose a Russian Chain Match.  He insults Ivan’s ‘manhood’ and says that if Ivan were a man, he’d accept.  Reid was kind of a jerk here but with all the crap going on between the two, it’s not unexpected.

We go back to the ring for the next match.  First, Adam Jameson makes his way out.  Next, over the Omegatron flashes “Gumbo 7:30 says its suppa time bitch” and ‘The Ragin’ Cajun’ Rad Gumbo w/ MJ make their way to the ring.   Gumbo goes on the offensive but Adam stays right with him.  Gumbo managed to lock in the Onion twist a few times but Adam kept getting out of it.  Jameson would hit the ‘Adam Bomb’ but MJ was there to make the save.  After a couple of times of interfering, Adam got right into MJ’s face and threatened him with bodily harm if he interfered one more time.  After that, MJ sat at ringside.  Gumbo kept it up on his own until he locked Adam in the Onion lock.  Adam was just getting ready to tap out when the bell rang signaling a time limit draw.  Just as Rad let him go, MJ jumped in and slapped Adam.  That was enough to “wake up” Adam and he chased MJ from the ring.  Rad had to run to catch up to them.  (20 min draw)

Backstage, Ivan Dragovich says he accepts the terms and conditions and says they can do this at the next show.

Phat Sol is backstage and he says finally, he got what he really wanted and that was Jerry Saunders in a steel cage.  Phat promises the unforgiving structure will be the tomb for Saunders and this will be it between them.

We head back to the ring for our 4th match of the night.  Superquake Ferguson makes his way out first.  He gets a decent pop.  Next, the familiar sound from an ice cream truck sounds and out comes the King of Cones Magnum Kone.  He has a bag with some ice cream he hands out to the kids before getting into the ring.  Superquake immediately blinds Magnum with a vicious eyerake.  Just when it seemed like Magnum was recovering, Superquake eyeraked him again.  Magnum stumbled to the corner rubbing his eyes trying to get his eyesight back to normal.  When he did, what he saw next was Superquake charging him in the corner and squishing him with a splash.  Magnum falls down and Superquake jumps up and flattens him with another splash.  He makes the cover and the ref easily counts to 3.  Superquake Ferguson gets the win in short fashion.  (3 min)

Backstage, Lady Hermann asks the British Crippler why she’s not getting the next shot.  The Crippler states she wants to get some more defenses under her belt before taking on her teammate.  If she can successfully turn away the “fodder”, she will then grant her teammate a title shot.  If somehow she loses, Lady Hermann will be next in line to bring the title back to the Queen’s Court.  She seemed ok with that.

Master Bull comes out and introduces the Fiend.  They head to the ring to a decent pop.  The Fiend’s opponent Perfect Pecs Stoddard comes out posing and flexing.  Pecs tried to take advantage by sneak attacking the Fiend but because of the knowledge provided by Master Bull, the Fiend was able to thwart any cheating tactics by Pecs.  Stoddard tried to use his power to overwhelm the Fiend but it didn’t do much good. Pecs got on an offensive streak and almost had the Fiend down and out.  The Fiend got hurled to the ropes and managed to duck a clothesline and hit a sunset flip.  Just as the ref was making the three count, the bell rang bringing the match to a time limit draw.  Pecs didn’t seem too happy about it so he went after Master Bull.  Bull stayed out of reach but this apparently was a distraction.  In from the crowd came the Hardcore Champion Dr. Red Fang and he blindsided the Fiend and then hit him with the Vampire Lunge and followed it up with a Spider Web lock.  It took a few ‘shirts’ from the back to break up the action.  Ant Graham applauded Fang for his deviousness and congratulated him as Fang made his way up the ramp.  (20 min for the match; 25 for the segment)

We head to the back again and this time Wilber Townsend is beside himself.  He threatens to destroy the back unless he gets Turnip Townsend in the ring.  GM Max McGillicutty threatens him with suspensions and fines if he destroys anything.  Max says that Turnip is not here tonight but he can answer the challenge next show.

We go back to the ring for our title defense of the night which will be for the World Tag Team titles.  First, the challengers the Desperados (El Chango and Leon Teremoto) come out first and they are mostly booed.  Next, MJ comes out to introduce the Tag Team Champions the Smashers.  Those few people who were not booing before all chimed in now. The noise was almost as deafening as at the last show for the people booing King CJ.  MJ and the Smashers head to the ring.  El Chango didn’t seem to be at his best and looked to still be suffering from the prior attack on them by the Smashers.  Smasher #1 and 2 cheated and used MJ to keep them on the offensive.  The Smashers kept themselves fresh by constantly tagging in and out.  They would take turns beating down on each member of the Desperados.  Finally, MJ pulled the hair of Leon Teremoto in front of the ref and almost got his team disqualified.  A distraction happened when the Stache made his way out to ringside.  El Chango shifted his attention and ended up eating a powerbomb by Smasher #1 on the outside.  Leon then got double teamed and then thrown out.  Leon gets counted out and the Smashers retain their titles on a countout.  (13 min).

The Stache goes over to El Chango and stands over him.  He takes a mic.  “If you think that our last match was settling anything, you are wrong. In fact, standing right here, right now, I want to stomp a mudhole in you but I won’t.  However, I will challenge you to one final match that will take place in a STEEL CAGE but there will be more on the line than just bruised egos.   I am the one who came up with the team name of the Desperados.  That name belongs to me but you and Lazy Leon over there decided to take it thinking it was your property.  A stipulation for our match will be that the winner gets to keep the Desperado team name.  Once I get it back, I will find myself a real partner, not one who only looks out for himself.  We will become THE Desperados and you can go back to that little dive bar back in Mexico you came from.”  The Stache really wanted to stomp on El Chango but restrained himself and put the mic down and walked away.

GM Max McGillicutty comes out as stands on the stage as the cage is being lowered into the ring.  Max says that these two will get a full 30 minutes to get this one put to rest. Phat goes right on the offensive but within 2 minutes, a masked man comes to the ring (presumably there for Saunders).  The masked person threw a chain into the ring but Phat intercepted it and used it on Jerry busting him open.  Phat was relentless becoming more and more violent as the show went on.  By the time we got 20 minutes in, both men were bleeding profusely but Phat just kept going and going.   We join the match at the 20 minute mark.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2016 #486

Hello fans and welcome back to our special Independence Day show.   Today’s show will be a must-see as King CJ makes his return to the ring.  The show kicks off with his Royalness’ music obnoxiously blasting through the speakers and the Hashtag – King CJ – makes his way to the ring.

“Finallllllly the king....the hash tag has made it back to live television” (he waits for the cheers)…“and wow what a waste of time it is!!!!” (The fans seem confused.  They stop cheering and begin booing him.) “Truly the .hwf...xfl...pms...wait what the hell is this even called??!!! The cheap short sided visions of 2 wannabees behind the desk has left a once reputable, respectable, proud rock in the sports entertainment to what a couple of geeky tech and fan boys in tights??? Ohhh and dont forget the names these losers are coming up with...this looks like the discount rack at your neighborhood piggly wiggly in this podunk back woods town...why am i even here...ohhhh i know because they want to use my name and talent as their new rise to fame!!!! Once again the hashtag is not amused...you 2 morons didnt have enough sense or balls to try to resurrect some washed up old time like hollywood WHOgan or a member of the original four decades ago horsemen...bring back the lame-os from the totally nonsense action crap (shakes his head in disbelief)... so as your king of the ring ...the only legitimate talent and superstar here i am here to DEMAND answers, respect and a gold strap!!! So geek fan boy and fat a55 make this happen or believe me your king...the hashtag maybe taking his talents, and any chance you have at being close to relevant, elsewhere...so ill give you a minute to swallow that burger...get your fat a55 from behind that buffet you call a desk and roll your asses down the isle way..and hopefully it doesnt take all night or you might lose both the losers in the audience and the fat chicks with them”....(he waits for like 5 seconds and then drops the mic rolls out the ring flipping everyone off).

World Champion Axe is backstage and he says he will accept the match.  GM Max McGillicutty says this will be our main event.

The Muscles Trio arrive and tell the cabbie to bring their luggage to their dressing room while they go check out the match lineup for the night.  Just as the cabbie was unloading the bags, the Steel Curtain (Buzz and Starbuck Steel) arrive.  They tip the cabbie and say they’ll take care of the bags.  Buzz and Starbuck smile and nod and haul the stuff in.

Our first match of the night kicks off with Ant Graham coming out. He introduces Karl Braun and says he will destroy Biceps Bannerman and then the 5th Column will challenge for the 6 Man Tag Team Titles.  Graham and Braun head to the ring amidst the booing from the fans.  Biceps Bannerman comes out and the fans pop huge.  As expected, Ant Graham interfered multiple times but it was the last one that spelled doom for the manager.  After Graham was done choking Biceps in the corner, Biceps hit Ant with an elbow smash that sent him flying to the floor.  He followed him out and nailed Ant with a Dominator on the floor.  He was done and out.  Biceps re-entered the ring and cleaned house just annihilating Braun.  Before we knew it, the time limit was almost out.  Bannerman caught Braun in a Biceps Crunch (bearhug) but Braun didn’t tap.  Biceps then hit a full nelson lift & slam.  He made the cover and the ref counted 1...2…3 just before the time limit ran out.  Biceps gets the win at 19:57.   The rest of the 5th Column (Ivan, Oswald and the Baron) ran down but Biceps left before they could do anything.  Baron von Blood gets on the mic and tells Biceps and the Steel Curtain to prepare for the 5th Column.

Backstage, the Steel Curtain dropped off the Muscles Trio bags and after zipping the bags back up, they looked around before leaving the room.

We go back to the ring for the next match.  Former Hardcore Champion Drew, the Canadian Love Machine came out and called out Chic Monroe for interfering in his match.  He challenged the US champion right then and there but Chic said now that Drew was no longer a champion, he didn’t deserve anything.  Drew says he’ll take a non-title match and if he wins, he wants his title shot.  Chic agrees and we have our next match.  Drew took the match to Chic and he was not prepared for the onslaught that Drew brought to this match.  It only took 13 minutes and a Lover Bomb to put Chic down for the 3 count.  Drew wins and it looks like he will be next in line for a shot at the US title.  Chic better be prepared.

Ravishing Raquel is backstage with Master Bull and she says that the only thing Lady Hermann had right was that she underestimated the Ladies Champion.  She says that tonight, she takes on Lady Hermann in challenge for her spot in the top 10.  Raquel says she will not make the same mistake twice.

We go back to the ring for our next match.  First, Ant Graham comes out with the 5th Column (Ivan Dragovich, the Iron Cross Oswald Zimmerman and Baron von Blood).  Graham says that this match is to see who gets the next shot at the 6 Man titles.   Next, the Muscles Trio (Muscles McGuire, Weasley and Thorpe) make their way out but they appear to have issues.  They are scratching all over.  It appears that someone (I wonder who) put itching powder in the outfits of the Muscles. It was pretty funny watching them scratch each other as well as rub up against the ring trying to get that elusive itch.  Baron and Thorpe start off but Thorpe can’t get rid of his itch.  He jumped out of the ring and the Muscles Trio ran to the back presumably to take showers.  The 5th Column get the win here in just 30 seconds and will be first in line for a shot at the 6 man tag team trophy.

Clarkus Kentus is backstage with the World Champion the Axe.  Axe says that he’s ready to take on the King but only one of them get to walk out with the title.  Axe says with confidence that he will be the one with his arm raised.

It’s time to go back to the ring for the next match.  Ravishing Raquel comes out with her advisor Master Bull first to a pop from the crowd.   Lady Hermann comes out next and the fans react negatively.  Lady Hermann stops at the stage and she is joined by the Queen’s Court (Queen Beckett and the Ladies Champion the British Crippler).  All make their way to ringside and the Queen and the champ sit at commentary.   Both women fought like the world is at stake.  Master Bull was able to assist but the time limit was not on either person’s side.  Both put their all into the match but time quickly ran out and this one ended in a draw.  Lady Hermann said that she is proud to take on her Court teammate but the Crippler actually seems a bit disappointed as she was (secretly) pulling for Raquel to win.  (20 min draw)

GM Max McGillicutty comes out and says that tonight’s match is one for ages.  He says he’s making a change to tonight’s main event.  Tonight, the Axe will have 60 minutes and 3 falls to win or lose the match tonight.

Music hits and out comes the Hashtag King CJ.  He is booed heavily and he smirks at Max as he saunters down to the ring. Music changes and out comes the World Champion.  The Axe is once again accompanied by his son to the ring.  King CJ wasted no time in immediately attacking the champ before he could get to the ring but the Axe fought him off and once both men entered the ring, the match began.

This was a true slobberknocker that saw King CJ pull out every dirty trick from the book.  He would choke the Axe in the corner, eye gouge and flail away with punches.  At the 4 minute mark, CJ took the Axe to the outside of the ring and after slamming him into the steel steps, he rolled back in to beat the 10 count.  King CJ wins the first fall by countout.  The Axe recovered and re-entered the ring.  Before the second fall could begin, GM Max McGillicutty comes out and says that the first fall cannot be the tie as a title would not change hands anyway on a countout so he removes the no DQ rule.  Max says that in order to win the belt, CJ has to win the next two falls.  The second fall began and this must have turned something on within the King. He really went to town on the Axe and try as he could, he could not stop the ferocity that CJ brought to the ring.  After stunning the Axe with a neck snap, he removed the padding on the top turnbuckle.  He then hurled Axe into it but Axe reversed it and tried to hurl CJ into the corner but he reversed it again and Axe hit the exposed bracket hard.  CJ then went out of the ring and grabbed the arms of the Axe and pulled him hard into the steel post.  CJ then climbed back in and pulled Axe to the center of the ring where he applied the guillotine choke.  After about 15 seconds of struggling, Axe tapped out.  CJ just got the next fall but still has one left to go.  (15 min)  The third fall was by far the longest but once again, the King controlled the match.  The Axe got close to a pin after nearly taking off the King’s head with the Axe but CJ knew where he was at all times and instantly grabbed the ropes.  The battle would go on for 20 minutes until King CJ hit the Axe with another neck snap.  Axe picked up King CJ and tried to lock him in a bearhug but the King weaseled out of it and hit a low blow (the ref did not see it) and locked in the guillotine choke again.  The Axe struggled to get to the ropes but CJ had him dead center in the ring.  The Axe then tapped out once again and the third fall came to an end and so did the Axe’s run as champion.  King CJ is awarded the final fall and has become the NEW WORLD CHAMPION!!!  The Axe and his son made their way to the back.  The fans were irate and began throwing anything not bolted down at him in the ring.   CJ didn’t care as he put his robe and crown back on and stood in the ring holding the World title as the show came to an end.  (39 min total)

That’s all for now.  Stay tuned for more action to come.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2016 #485

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter. We are told that none other than the HASHATG King CJ will be making a live appearance in today’s show.  I wonder what he’s going to say now.

Backstage, manager Ant Graham arrives with the 5th Column and Dr. Red Fang.  The 5th Column head in and Graham says to reporter Larry Morton that Fang is deserving of a title match…for a title that this vicious person needs…the Hardcore title. Fang threatens champion Drew the Canadian Love Machine with bodily harm if he doesn’t accept.  “What kind of name is Drew the Canadian Love Machine anyway?”  He turns to his manager and says “I’m still bitter about not being featured on the cover of the HCW magazine.”  Ant says once Fang wins the Hardcore title, he will be and that is a promise.  Fang leaves after yelling “Vampire Lunges for Everyone!”

The show kicks off with our TV champion Ivan Dragovich defending his title against the Crocodile Hunter.  Croc comes out first and is cheered.  Next, though, is not the champion but The Elitist Reid Rothchild.  He goes down to sit at commentary.  TV champion Ivan Dragovich and his manager Ant Graham come out to the booing from the crowd.  Neither man cares.  Ivan goes on to beat the holy hell out of Croc but to his credit, Croc keeps kicking out. Finally, Reid gets up from commentary and chases Ant Graham from the ring.  Ivan gets pissed and turns around right into the Croc’s Throne.  The Hunter makes the cover, hooks the leg and the ref counts 1…2…3!  The Crocodile Hunter has just defeated Ivan Dragovich to become the NEW TV CHAMPION!  (8 min) This of course does not sit well with Ivan who immediately attacks Croc and locks him in the Accolade.  He yells for Croc to give him an immediate rematch which Croc, in his trapped state, does.  Ivan releases him and yells for the bell to be rung.  Before the match can begin, GM Max McGillicutty comes out and adds a stipulation.  “Since these matches have a 20 minute time limit and you lost in 8 that only leaves 12 minutes left.  If you do not win the match in 12 minutes, you will not get another match.  However, if you wait, you can get a match with a full time limit.  The choice is yours.”  Ivan says he wants the match right now.  Max nods and the bell rings again.  Ant Graham runs back down to ringside.  He tries to help Ivan but Reid, still present, keeps him from interfering. At the 9 minute mark, Croc was down and Ant was going to interfere.  Reid got back up and shoved Ant into the ref.  The ref immediately turned and disqualified Ivan for outside interference.  The Crocodile Hunter is victorious and is now officially the TV Champion.  (9 min).   After the match, Ivan and Reid had a stare down but Ivan backed down at the insistence of Ant.  Ant whispered as they headed to the back “Trust me, there will be another time and place to put him out.”  (17 min for the matches, 22 for the full segment)

Backstage, Dr. Red Fang (on his own which is not good) confronts both the Hardcore Champion Drew the Canadian Love Machine and Drew’s opponent tonight 5th Column member Karl Braun.   Fang said that with him teaming up with Braun tonight would result in a win for the 5th Column.  Both men attacked Drew and the Savior and the Fiend came in for the save.  Drew said he would accept adding in Fang into tonight’s championship match.

Music hits and out comes the returning Hashtag – King CJ.  CJ does his (somewhat egotistical) wave to the crowd.  CJ takes a mic and proceeds to update the fans on his status. He claims to be at 98%.   It is expected that the doctors clear him to return at the next show.  CJ Says he is going balls to the wall and will issue a challenge to World Champion The Axe for his first match back.  CJ says he wants his in ring return to be a career highlight.

GM Max McGillicutty comes out and says that most people don’t wrestle at better than 98% so he needs to man up and get in the ring.  Max says King CJ is wrestling tonight.  The King interrupts him.  “What look here Mr GM...Mr Shot caller…first of all the hashtag IS NOT at 100..he has been giving 110% against the top talent in all of sports entertainment...now your asking me to hurt myself against who...some joe schmoe, mr jackass in tights ...no thanks.  Look, the king.. the hashtag...the FRANCHISE is embarrassed for you and when im 100% the hashtag is more than willing to whoop is ass from cornor to cornor…but only for gold…so next show, I challenge you, AXE, for that world title.  Franchise out.”  (Drops the mic).  King CJ walks off.

Backstage, 5th Column member Karl Braun accepts the challenge from Biceps for the next show and it could very well have a title on the line once he defeats the Hardcore champion tonight.

Reid Rothchild comes out and challenges Handsome Hernandez for his spot for the TV title.  Hernandez comes out and says that Reid is a multi-time loser and doesn’t deserve this match.  He says he’ll oblige anyway.

Master Bull comes out and joins Reid at the ring.  Hernandez comes out and once he hits the ring, the match begins.  Reid owned this match and try as he could, Master Bull just couldn’t get Reid to concentrate enough on the match at hand especially after Ivan Dragovich came out.  The match ends up going to a 20 minute time limit draw and Ivan attacked Reid right after the match.  He locked Reid in the Accolade and refused to let go.  Master Bull got physical and had to hit Ivan with a chair to the back just to get him to let go.  Ivan stood over Reid and then left.  (20 min for the match; 25 for the segment)

Outback Oscar appears and has a message for Terra Ryzing.  “Terra, during our match, I was in a very precarious position getting caught in the hangman’s noose between the ropes and instead finding a way to help me out of it, you added more leverage thereby trying to end my career.  I’m standing here so obviously you failed.  You want to make a name for yourself by attacking me?  Well guess what…there is a ring with a ref and 30 minutes to prove what you think you have in the way of talent.  Bring it and I’ll send you back to ‘parts unknown’ or wherever you are from.”

We head back to the ring for our next match.   First, Jesse California comes out to a decent pop from the crowd.  Next, his opponent Sonic Blade comes out and he too gets a pop.  Both men are in the ring and they shake hands before the match.  On the line is Jesse’s world title shot.  Sonic is in the top 10 for the US title but I guess he has higher aspirations.   Jesse was all over the place and try as he could, he was not able to slow down the speedster.  Sonic tried on a few occasions to slow the pace down but Jesse wouldn’t let it.  As the match progressed, Jesse dropped Sonic with multiple jumping elbow drops.  Jesse then heard the crowd chanting for him so he had to stop, climb the turnbuckle and acknowledge the fans response.  He soaked it in and then turned and jumped back into the ring…right into the Alhambra Attack (tackle) from Sonic Blade.  Sonic cinched in the leg hook and 3 seconds later, Sonic Blade was declared the winner.  The fans applauded and Sonic extended a hand to Jesse and helped him up.  Both men shook hands and then celebrated with the fans before leaving.  (9 min)

US Champion Chic Monroe is backstage even though he is not wrestling tonight.  Chic comments that Drew is a horrible representation of a champion even if it is the hardcore title.  He blasts Drew’s wrestling ability and the thought that Drew is even worthy of a shot at the US title is just unthinkable.  Chic says that anytime Drew wants to go back to Canada with his tail tucked between his legs, he’d be happy to hold the door open for him.

We head back to the ring for our next match.  The Gold Standard Bruce Biltmore w/ the Hollywod Star heads to the ring first.  The music changes and Master Bull comes out first and introduces the Savior.  The lights change and the Savior makes his way to the ring.  Bull takes his robe as the Savior enters the ring.  The Savior starts off strong but then gets tossed out of the ring.  While out there, Master Bull provides some words of wisdom and sends the Savior back in the ring.  Bruce hits a jumping hip attack but the Savior levels him with the holy headbutt.  The Savior makes the cover and surprisingly gets the 1-2-3.  The Hollywood Star jumped in the ring only to be met with the laying of the hands (rapid fists) and then dropped with a powerbomb.  Both the Hollywood Star and Bruce Biltmore slunk up the ramp while the Savior celebrated before leaving.  (4 min)

GM Max McGillicutty says he has a surprise in store for the fans tonight.  He says that former friends/tag team partners El Chango and the Stache would end their feud here tonight.  Max says he wants to see a resolution to their feud so this match will be a falls count anywhere match.  Max says that the Stache will have his hands full with the Wraith soon enough and El Chango has said that he and Leon want to chase the tag team titles. This match will be our main event.

Next up we have The Wraith vs Wilber Townsend.  The Wraith comes out first and is booed. Wilber then comes out and is accompanied by the Huber Clan (Junior, Butch and Ferb – there is no Turnip).   The fans are really not sure who to cheer for so they just boo both wrestlers.  The Ambassador just stood back and watched the match.  The Wraith looked slightly the more aggressor much to the dismay of the Ambassador. Both men hit high profile moves but neither got a pin.  At one point, the Ambassador tried to get involved.  After Wilber hit the GTS on the Wraith, the Ambassador distracted the ref.  However, young Turnip Townsend ran down, climbed to the top rope and nailed Wilber with a missile dropkick.  He then took off into the crowd.  The Wraith climbed to the top and hit a flying elbow smash.  The ref turned just as the Wraith was making the cover and he counted to 3.  The Huber Clan rushed the ring but the Wraith just narrowly escaped.  The Wraith is victorious but the fans don’t care.  (15 min)

Raquel has a pre-taped message for the fans (it actually looked like it was chopped and pasted together).  She apologizes for letting her husband, her advisor, her fans and herself down by not winning the title.  She says that this loss will make her stronger and she will be back in the top 10 or she will quit.  The video is then shut down and Lady Hermann makes her way out laughing. She says that Raquel is all “boo hoo” and could not stand up to a professional such as her.   She continues to mock her until Raquel comes out and confronts her in the ring.  Raquel says that the video was not real and that Lady Hermann and the Queen’s Court are behind this.  Raquel challenges Lady Hermann for her spot for the Ladies title but Hermann doesn’t answer and actually leaves the ring in pretty quick fashion.  GM Max McGillicutty comes out and tells Lady Hermann the match WILL happen.

It is time for our co-main event.  First, El Chango makes his way to ringside.   Next, the Stache comes out and is cheered.  The two square off for what could be the final time.  It is time to settle the bad blood between them and move on.  This one the Stache was much more the aggressor and it looked like a few times that El Chango didn’t want any more of this.  The end came after the Stache hit El Chango with the Whiplash but the Wraith ran down and hurled the Stache from the ring.  He slammed him into the ringside barrier a few times and then when he looked to be out, he handcuffed him to the guardrail so he could not get up.  The Wraith then pulled El Chango out of the ring and threw him on top of the Stache.  The ref went over to count but struggle as he might, the Stache could not get up.  The ref counted 1…2…3 and awarded the match to El Chango.  The Wraith took off and after being uncuffed, the Stache took off backstage.  El Chango struggled to his feet but then in from the crowd came the Smashers.  They attacked El Chango and threw him back in the ring.  They nailed him with the Doomsday Device.  Leon Teremoto ran down only to meet the same fate as his tag team partner.  The Smashers stood victorious over the Desperados and finally left.   (12 ½ min for the match; 18 min for the segment)

Max comes back out and says that the Desperados will in fact get the next title shot at the Smashers.

Now, it is time for the main event.  First, Ant Graham comes out and introduces 5th Column member Karl Braun.  He then brings out Dr. Red Fang.  Graham tells Fang he has to do whatever it takes to help Braun defeat the Canadian Love Machine.  He follows them down as Drew’s music hits and the Hardcore champ makes his way down.  Drew controlled the majority of the match fending off attacks from both Dr. Red Fang and Karl Braun.  The match went on for about 15 minutes when Drew hurled Karl Braun into the guardrail busting him open and what appeared knocking him out.  Fang then tried to hurl Drew into the third row but Drew was successful in nullifying it.  However, Chic Monroe came down and he started battling Drew.  Fang looked around and saw Karl out cold on the floor.  He ran over and made the cover.  The ref counted 1…2…3.  Dr. Red Fang has just become the NEW HARDCORE CHAMPION!  Fang celebrated in the ring until the Fiend ran down and he and Fang fought all the way to the back.

That is all we have for now.  Stay tuned for more action.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2016 #484

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.   The new wrestlers seem to be meshing well with our established wrestlers.  Today’s show takes place back in our Phoenix home.  Flagstaff welcomed us with open arms and for that we are thankful but also thankful to be back in front of our home crowd.

Backstage, manager MJ arrives with Dr. Red Fang.  They meet up with GM Max McGillicutty and Fang just starts to go off on him (“I am not your dog”, “Vampire Lunges for everyone” and “Yell at me again and I’ll choke you out”).   Max says he’s already tired of Fang’s crap and says he’ll be in a triple threat match tonight.  Max tells MJ to put a muzzle on him or Fang will find out the hard way about life.

We head to the ring for our first match.  First, the German Sarona Reiher comes to the ring and she is booed. She of course flips everyone off.   Her opponent Jazz Emmett comes out and she gets cheered just because the fans don’t like Sarona.  Jazz seemed to control the tempo of the match but Sarona just stayed with her.   Jazz locked Sarona in a bodyscissors chinlock but somehow after being in the hold for 45 seconds, Sarona seemed to power up and lifted Jazz into the air and then dropped her.  Sarona then made her way to the top turnbuckle and then after flashing the “superfly” hand signal, she leapt off and hit Jazz with a splash from the top rope.  Sarona hooked the leg and the ref counted to 3.  Sarona gets the win.  She is booed as she once again flips off the fans and makes her way to the back.

Phat Sol is backstage and he says that he’s absolutely tired of Jerry Saunders sticking his nose in his matches costing him future title shots.  He says that tonight the HCW will see the last of ‘Mo-fo’ (Phat says that was his nickname back in high school).

We head back to the ring for our next match which is tag team action.   This is a non-title match between Adam Jameson and Billy Robbins taking on the Smashers w/ MJ.  Adam and Billy make their way out first to a decent pop.  The Smashers and MJ come out and the fans pelt them with crap.  MJ threatens to cancel the match if the fans don’t behave.  Finally, they simmer down enough and the Smashers head to the ring.  The match saw the Smashers take out their anger on Adam and Billy.   For the first 9 minutes of the match, the challengers held their own until Billy got nailed by a double powerbomb on the floor taking him out.  Adam continued the match for the next 5 minutes solo until Billy was able to return.  Adam tried to mount an offense but the Smashers continued double teaming them.  Smasher #1 jumps in and hits Billy with an elbow smash that sends him from the ring crashing into the ringside wall.  He’s out.  Adam looks on in concern and him taking his eyes off his opponent was the worst thing he could do.  The Smashers hit the Doomsday Device on Adam and then Smasher #2 hit a devastating backbreaker.  Adam did nothing but lay there counting the lights above.  The Smashers get the win and they leave to the booing from the crowd.  Adam and Billy had to be helped out by medical.  (17 min)

Jerry Saunders is backstage and he comments that Phat Sol…the ‘REAL’ Phat Sol will show his true colors soon and then the fans will understand who he REALLY is.  Until then, he’ll beat him like a government mule.

Next, we have a triple threat match.  First, the Fiend comes out.  Next, the Shockmaster and finally, Dr. Red Fang.  This was supposed to be just 1:1 but I guess the GM wanted to show Fang what’s what.  The Fiend and Fang took turns beating down on the Shockmaster.  After dumping him out of the ring, Fang turned his attention to the Fiend.  The Fiend held him off pretty successfully.  He nearly had it won after hitting Fang with the Last Caress but Shockmaster broke up the pin and hurled the Fiend out of the ring.  Dr. Red Fang then hit the Shockmaster with a Transylvania Piledriver.  He then locked the Shockmaster in a spider web lock but held the ropes for leverage.  He let go just before the ref DQ’d him.  He hits Shockmaster with another Transylvania Piledriver and at the insistence from his manager Ant Graham, he made the cover for the easy 1-2-3.  Ant and Fang stood victorious until the Fiend got back in and dropkicked Fang from the ring.  Ant got out just in time.  Ant had to hold Fang back from getting back in the ring.  The Fiend stood there but Fang would not return.  He and the Shockmaster (who finally recovered) both left on their own.  On their way to the back, Ant looks at the camera and says that Fang has proven himself and deserves a title shot.  (19 min)

Ravishing Raquel is backstage with Clarkus Kentus and her Advisor Master Bull.  Bull comments that Raquel has been in the gym the last couple of weeks and is 100% ready for her match.  Raquel states that tonight, she once again becomes a champion and there is absolutely nothing that the British Crippler can do to stop her.

Elsewhere backstage, Larry Morton is interviewing the Ladies Champion The British Crippler.  The Crippler states that Raquel needs an advisor because there is no way she can beat her on her own.  The Crippler says that if Master Bull tries to interfere, she WILL take him out.  Raquel interrupts and says that she’s proven on a few occasions that she can and has beaten the Crippler and it was all done without Master Bull.  Raquel continues and says that if the Crippler is not afraid of her, she challenges her to make their match a no disqualification/ no count out rules match.  GM Max McGillicutty comes over and says that this is good for business and asks the Crippler if she’ll agree to the new stipulation.  The champ agrees.

We go back to the ring for our next match which is another tag team match.  First, the Ryzing Storm (Travis ‘Dark Storm’ Ryzing and Terra Ryzing) come out.  The fans boo them.  Next, Outback Oscar and his partner the Crocodile Hunter come out to a big pop.  The Ryzing Storm attack them before the match could begin but he finally gained control and it started.  The only thing the Ryzing Storm had going for them was their pre-match attack.  After that, it was all Oscar and Croc.  Both men successfully double teamed the others but the Aussies fared much better.  Terra had just nailed Croc with a facebreaker knee smash that sent him out of the ring but on his way out, he tagged Oscar.  Oscar then dropped Terra with rapid fists and then was hurled to the ropes.  Oscar got tangled up between the top and second rope and was trapped by his neck.  The ref managed to get him free but Terra kept the holding the ropes together.  The ref (along with some suits from the back) got Oscar out and the ref ended up disqualifying Terra for his actions.  Oscar and Croc get the win via DQ.  Oscar is helped to the back by medics.  (12 ½ min)

(Yet) another (lame) King CJ update airs.  This time the King says he’s at 92% and is almost cleared to return to the ring.  CJ steals a quote “You WANT me in that ring; you NEED me in that ring” (stolen and modified from ‘A Few Good Men’) and says that his fans cannot wait for the return of their King.  CJ says he will set the world straight upon his return.

It is time for our Co-Main Event:  Phat Sol vs Jerry Saunders in a Phoenix Street fight.   Max comes out after both men are in the ring and tells them that there will be no time limit so they can take all the time they need to beat the holy hell out of each other.  Once again, Phat Sol owned the match against Jerry after the first minute.  Saunders locked in the Traitor Lock but Phat got out quickly.  He immediately hurled Jerry out of the ring and nailed the Phat Phat (Brainbuster) on a chair.  Had he gone for the pin right there, he probably would have gotten the 3 count but he took time to bring him in the ring first which allowed Jerry to kick out at 2.  Phat brought in a table and hit Jerry with the Phat Phat on the table but it didn’t break.  Again, Jerry kicked out at 2.  Both men fought a few more minutes until Phat hit Jerry with a chair. He then took the chair and wedged it into the corner.  Phat picked up Jerry and went to hurl him into the corner but it got reversed and Phat went crashing into the corner and chair hitting shoulder/arm first.  Jerry then charged and hit the Saunders Splash.  He then locked Phat once again in the Traitor Lock and the ref kept asking Phat if he wanted to submit. Phat said no but appeared to be tapping on the mat so the ref took that as ‘tapout’ and called an end to the match.  (BTW, this is the same ref who was in their I Quit match).  Jerry Saunders gets the win.  He didn’t release the hold and kept Phat in the Traitor Lock.  It took half a dozen suits to get him off of Phat.  Jerry then grabbed a mic and said that this still didn’t settle anything.  “We need a match where we can beat the holy hell out of each other and only one of us walks out.  Phat, if you want this settled, we need to try this again but in the confines of a STEEL CAGE!”  The fans pop when Phat says “Done and I’ll tear your ***** (bleeping) head off.”  Saunders leaves with a smile on his face and Phat eventually leaves.  (10 min)

We got word that Biceps Bannerman was checked out by doctors and is clear to return to the ring.  Biceps issues a challenge to Karl Braun.  Braun is not here today but it’s probably he will have a reply next show.

It is time for our Main Event.  Tonight, the Ladies Title will be on the line as the champion The British Crippler takes on Ravishing Raquel (w/ Master Bull) for the title.  First, the challenger Ravishing Raquel comes out with her husband ‘the Elitist’ Reid Rothchild and her advisor Master Bull.  Reid gives her a quick kiss and Bull and Raquel head to the ring.   The fans pop for Raquel.  The champ comes out next and the fans begin to boo.  The British Crippler just ignores them.  She gets in the ring and faces off with Raquel.  The two stand toe to toe as the ref takes the title, holds it up and then hands it to the ring announcer.  These two gave it their all and just as she promised, the Crippler didn’t allow Master Bull to get involved at all.  Each time he tried, she would nullify it.  Raquel was able to lock in the Ravishing Chickenwing but the champ knew where she was and made it to the ropes to break the hold.  Raquel also managed to hit the Simply Ravishing but the champ still kicked out.  Raquel then tossed the Crippler out of the ring and she took all that time to find a hole in Raquel’s game plan.  She did.  After getting back in the ring, she picked up Raquel and dropped her throat first on the top rope.  She then immediately locked in a Rear Naked Choke.  Raquel didn’t tap but the Crippler quickly turned it into a pin.  Raquel never saw it coming and by the time she figured it out, she got pinned.  The British Crippler is victorious in her first title defense.  She takes her title and leaves.  Raquel is left behind with Master Bull after providing some words of consolation, they left the ring to a nice reaction from the crowd.   (25 min)

GM Max McGillicutty comes out and thanks the fans for attending and invites any and all to return to the next show.

That is all for now.  Stay Tuned for more action.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2016 #483

Hello fans and welcome back to the HCW Wrestling Newsletter.  The weather in Phoenix is still a bit on the toasty side so Flagstaff, AZ has agreed to host us for another show.

****FANS HAVE VOTED****
GM Max McGillicutty comes out on stage and lets us know that all of the votes from our attending fans and those who have submitted their entries from online have all been tallied.  The winning match type for the Phat Sol vs Jerry Saunders II match will be a Phoenix Street Fight.  That match will be the co-main event at the next show.  Jerry Saunders comes out on stage and is livid. He asks what gives the fans the right to pick his matches and Max says he gave the fans the authority and if he doesn’t like it, he knows exactly where the door is.  Saunders then storms off.

Our first match of the night will be Leiton & Tobias Snake vs Wendell Hammerschmitt & Billy Robbins.  The Snake duo comes out (minus Niven – he’s still recovering from his last fight) and heads to the ring.  Wendell and Billy come out next who are challenging the Snake family for their spot in the World tag team lineup.  Robbins and Hammerschmidt took the match to the Snake family and proved that they are deserving of being in the top 10 however the Snake brothers showed just how low and dirty they can get.  After knocking down Wendell from his corner, Tobias threw Billy out of the ring.  Leiton went to the outside and hurled Billy into the steel steps.  He made it back to his corner and allowed the ref to make the count.  The ref hit 10 and Billy was unable to make it back in.  The Snake Duo win the match via countout and retain their spot in the tag team top 10.  (15 min)

We cut to a pre-taped promo from the Steel Curtain.

Buzz:  “Muscles Bros....you ladies have gone too damn far.  It was kinda funny when you we're running around like a trio of jackasses with your bull horns and your Roid-Os graham crackers playing that stupid clarinet.

But interfering in our match....oh no boys.  No...No ....No.  The three of you have gone and poked the bear.  As of right on, our hunt for the tag team belts is on hold. Right now, it's Roidy Muscles....Moron Muscles and Humpy Muscles, or whatever the hell your names are.   Your asses are ours. Take off those stupid horns and grow a third eye in the back of your roided out heads.  Because your asses have been designated for termination.  Tell'em 'Buck.”

Starbuck:  “Word.”

We go back to the ring for our next match.   Lexy Flexx comes out first and she is followed out by Felicia Cummings and her twin sister Betsy.  Felicia has challenged Lexy for her spot in the top 10 lineup for the
Ladies title.  Felicia took the fight to Lexy and even though it took 17 minutes to get the job done, she ended up flattening Lexy with the sitout facebuster.  Betsy never interfered in the match.  Felicia moves up in the rankings and Lexy moves down.  (17 min)

A promo airs with the Wraith bitching about the Stache trying to steal his thunder and he had enough of it.  “Stache, you just felt you had to get yourself back in the limelight.  It was my time and you couldn’t stand the thought of sitting on the sidelines so you ‘came to my aid’.  You know what, I don’t need your damn help; I never asked for your damn help.  But you know what, I don’t like you; I never did.  You want to hit me from behind with a chair after I just singlehandedly won a match…and by the way, where were you…my partner?  I go to look for the tag but you were not there for me.   Again, only looking out for yourself.  Guess what…you have my full attention and when I’m done with you, I’ll rip that stupid mustache off your ugly mug.”

We head back to the ring for our next match.  Terra Ryzing comes out first and man, does he look like he’s been hitting the ‘roids.  His opponent comes out next and it’s the Australian Outback Oscar.  Oscar gets a good pop from the crowd and that doesn’t sit well with Terra.  Oscar owned the match but Terra refused to stay down for a 3 count.  Towards the end of the match, Terra’s brother Travis comes out trying to distract Oscar to give his brother the edge he needed.  It didn’t work.  The match ended in a time limit draw.  After the match, Travis jumped in the ring to try to attack Oscar but Oscar side stepped and booted Travis and Terra out of the ring.  They grumbled and mumbled under their breaths as they made their way to the back.  (20 min)

HCW World Champion the Axe is here tonight and tonight, he will defend his title against Steel Curtain member Buzz Steel.  Axe acknowledges that he has fought Buzz before when he was still held back by Dirk Devon but that was then and this is now.  Axe says that the first battle is the hardest but knows deep in his heart that he will be victorious tonight.

We head back to the ring for our next match.  Baron von Blood with his manager Ant Graham makes his way to the ring to the booing of the fans.  Ant gets on the mic and tells him that the 5th Column is a force to be reckoned with and they will continue to make an example tonight.  Music hits and out comes Biceps Bannerman.  I just can’t get over how huge this guy is.  This guy has muscles on his muscles.  Biceps gets in the ring but is immediately attacked by the Baron.  Biceps had a slight edge over the Baron and Ant Graham knew it so he called for reinforcements.  Karl Braun came out and attacked also resulting in a DQ.  Both men beat down on Biceps until he started to hulk up and cleaned house.  Biceps was a bit shaken up and fell to his knee and clutching the back of his neck.  After being given a once over by the ref, he suggested he go get checked out at a hospital just to be sure.  Starbuck came out to check on his partner and help him to the back.  (7 min)

We go to another pre-taped promo with King CJ providing another status update.  CJ says that the Hammy is much, much better and says that he feels his status has skyrocketed to 84%.  CJ said he heard the fans when the applauded the announcement he slipped in status.  But that is ok…he says that his REAL fans live and breathe on his updates and says that he will continue to provide them…regardless.

We go back to the ring for the next match.  Before it can begin, El Gato Negro comes out and sits at commentary.   The Duchess comes out first and says she is challenging her opponent for her spot in the top 10 lineup.  Kimberly Kiccass comes out to a pop from the crowd.  El Gato stands up and claps and that all the more irritates the Duchess.  Kim goes for a double knee lift but the Duchess nullifies it.   Kim tries to lock in a back mounted chin lock but the Duchess reverses it and hits a Lou Thesz Press. Kim has the wind knocked out of her.  Duchess then locks in the “All Hail Her Majesty” and surprising, Kim immediately taps out.  The Duchess gets the win in just 3 minutes.  El Gato doesn’t care for that and she immediately goes after the Duchess who skips out of the ring laughing as she makes her way to the back.  El Gato Negro is left in the ring fuming.

A quick vignette showing the confrontation between Ladies Champion the British Crippler and Ravishing Raquel is shown.  At the end, it says that this match will be the main event of our next show.

It is time for our main event and it will be a World title match.  The Champion The Axe defends his belt against Buzz Steel.   Buzz comes out first with Starbuck but Buzz says he wants to do this on his own so Starbuck shakes his hand, wishes him luck and returns to the back.  Buzz gets a good pop as he makes his way to the ring.  Next, the champ’s music hits and he comes out to a decent pop too.  The Axe is accompanied by his son who he hands his title to and they walk down to the ring.  The son hands the belt to the ref and then goes to sit at ringside.  Buzz held his own against the champ and looked to have a solid chance of winning the belt.  Buzz connects with the Buzzkill Insuguri but is a bit disoriented from the last couple of shots he took from the Axe so it takes a few seconds to make the cover.  Unfortunately, that was all that was needed for the Muscles Trio to hit the ring and attack Buzz resulting in a DQ.  The Axe loses the match but the belt doesn’t change hands on a DQ.  Starbuck runs down and between he, the Axe and Buzz, they clean house.  (8 min)  GM Max McGillicutty comes out and says that enough is enough and makes a match right now with the Axe and the Steel Curtain vs the Muscles Trio.  The Steel Curtain and the World Champion worked well together but then again, so did the Muscles Trio.  Everyone was in the ring fighting until the Axe started hurling the Muscles Trio out of the ring one by one.  The Muscles Trio decided they’d had enough and walked away getting counted out.  The Steel Curtain and the Axe get the countout win.  The Steel Curtain held the ropes while the Axe invited them back into the ring.  The Muscles Trio opted not to and backed up the ring and went backstage.  The Steel Curtain and the Axe shook hands and then signed autographs for the fans before leaving.  (5 min for the match)

That is all for now.  Stay tuned for more action.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2016 #482

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  The weather in Phoenix has creeped up into the high 1-teens and we decided to head to cooler pastures.  Today’s show comes from Flagstaff, AZ.  The first order of business is King CJ broadcasting yet another update.  CJ says that he’s relapsed a bit.   When he bent over to tie his shoe, he pulled his hammy.   He feels that he is at 61% but rest assured, the KING will recover.  I think the fans are done caring about these updates.  Some of the fans actually cheered when CJ said his status had slipped.  It was kind of funny.

Pyro goes off and we have our first match of the evening.  First, the circus music plays and out comes the Muscles Trio (Muscles McGuire, Thorpe and Weasley).  They are wearing their rainbow colored bull horns and are acting like a bunch of goofballs.   The kids enjoy them but the parents know better.  New music hits and the Ambassador comes out and introduces the Huber Clan (Junior, Ferb & Butch).  Just as the Huber Clan makes it to ringside, new music plays and out comes the Steel Curtain (Buzz and Starbuck Steel) and Biceps Bannerman.  They go and sit at commentary.  The Muscles Trio try to complain but the ref doesn’t want to hear it.  The ref informs us that this will be a 30 minute time limit match.  Even with the Ambassador’s help, the Hubers couldn’t seem to get the job done.  The goofiness of the Muscles Trio just confounded the Huber Clan.  The match ended in a time limit draw.   The longer the match went, the more if favored the Muscles Trio.  After the match, the Trio confronted the Steel Curtain & Biceps but ended up backing down before a punch was thrown.  (30 min)

*****Fans Vote*****

The fans in Phoenix continue to make their voices heard.  It looks like it’s down to a TLC vs Phoenix Street Fight (tied at 38%) for the match type between Phat Sol and Jerry Saunders.  All other match choices seem to be out of the running.

We head back to the ring for our next match.  ‘Red Hot’ Lucas Johnston comes out to a huge pop.  He hi-fives the fans as he makes his way to ringside.  Then, on the Omegatron, there are flashing lights and ‘The Ragin Cajun’ Rad Gumbo with MJ comes out and then over the loudspeakers, we hear “Gumbo 7:30 means it’s Suppa time, bitch”.  Gumbo is also wearing his slogan on his shirt.  Fans ask for it and Rad just ignores them.  He gets in the ring but as Lucas approaches, Rad bails.  I guess taking on a manager has made him a bit of a coward.  Finally he gets back in the ring and our match can begin.  The match was fairly even with MJ interfering.  At the 7 minute mark, MJ tried to interfere but Lucas had enough and started to chase MJ around the ring.  MJ started to hightail it to the back but didn’t’ pay attention to the count going on in the ring.  Just when he realized how long he was out, he rushed back to the ring only to get counted out.  Rad Gumbo wins this one and the fans voiced their displeasure.  After Gumbo left, Lucas shook hands with the fans who seemed to care more about meeting him than his loss.  (7 ½ min)

In the back we are with Ant Graham and the Iron Cross.  They talk about dominating the sport and with every win, they come much closer to gold and then the 5th Column will reign supreme.

We are back to in-ring action and next up is a ladies match.  Missy Chick makes her way down to the ring to a decent pop.  Her opponent, however, gets a much better reaction as Southern Belle makes her way to the ring.  Belle was just starting to kick some ass until Missy dropped her, throat first, on the top rope.  She then immediately locked in a guillotine choke and Southern Belle had no choice but to tap out.  Missy gloated her win but Belle got up and started to ‘hulk” out and Missy, seeing what would be coming next, hightailed it out of there.  Belle eventually simmered down and then left, disappointed.  (4 min)

The Desperados (El Chango & Leon Teremoto) are being interviewed and they question why a team as superior as they are have to face “those schmucks from the Great White North” the Savior and Drew the Canadian Love Machine.  El Chango says they should be challenging for the titles, not playing school teacher to a couple of nobodies. Leon says to never fear and they will destroy them like they do everyone else who gets in their way.

Our next match is underway and Phat Sol makes his way out to the ring.  He gets a good pop from the crowd.  The camera pans and sitting at ringside is Phat’s nemesis Jerry Saunders.  He is sitting there in what appears to be a foul mood.  Phat’s opponent for this match is the ‘Iron Cross’ Oswald Zimmerman.  The fans chant “Ossssswald, Ossssswald” and that pisses him off.  He gets in the ring and immediately attacks Phat.  For 10 minutes, Ant just sat back and watched.  Once he saw that Phat was holding his own, he decided to get involved.  Ant gave Oswald a set of brass knuckles and he blasted Phat with them.  He took his sweet time in making the cover but Phat kicked out.  I’m not sure who was more pissed off about that…Zimmerman, his manager or Jerry Saunders.  Oswald turned up the heat and Ant played a more important role cheating where he could.  Finally, Jerry had enough.  When Ant was distracting the ref, Saunders jumped in and dropped Phat with a spike DDT.  He slid out of the ring and left.  Zimmerman then locked in an ear wringer and then hooked the leg to get the pin at the 19 minute mark.  Ant and Oswald stood in victory over a beaten Phat and then left.  Suits from the back had to come out and assist.

On their way to the ring, Master Bull with the Canadians are asked if they feel threatened by the Desperados.  Drew holds up the Hardcore title and asks “Does me being in possession of this in any way make me appear threatened?  The answer to that is no.”  The Savior is standing back chanting something and Bull takes his team to the ring.

The Savior and Drew the Canadian Love Machine with Master Bull make their way to the ring to a pop from the crowd.   The Desperados (El Chango & Leon Teremoto) come out and the crowd flips in their responses.  The booing is almost deafening. El Chango doesn’t care.  They get in the ring and immediately slam the Savior’s head into the ringpost knocking him out.  Master Bull tries to get the match stopped but Drew tells him he wants to continue so it becomes a handicap match.   El Chango and Leon took turns beating Drew down and stopped any offense with their double teams.  Leon gets in the ring and levels Drew with a powerbomb.  He makes the cover and gets the 1-2-3.  The Desperados win this one in quick fashion (5 min).  Master Bull had been too busy tending to the Savior that by the time he realized what happened, the match was over.  He got in the ring and helped Drew up and they helped the Savior to the back.

As they are making their way backstage, US Champion Superstar Chic Monroe comes out and yells at Drew to stop infringing on his time.  Drew stops and tells Chic that even though he’s the #1 contender for the US title, he is going to concentrate on the Hardcore title and once that’s he’s done with it, he will be coming after Chic.  He helps Master Bull take the Savior to the back.

It’s time for the main event.  US Champion Chic Monroe is on stage but he says that there is no way in hell that the champion goes to the ring first so he tells the announcer to do the opponent first.   Chic’s opponent for this match is Niven Snake.  This will be Chic’s first title defense.  Monroe owned this match but Niven is just too tough to lay down.  Chic beat the holy hell out of Niven but couldn’t get the 3 count.  This went on for what seems like an eternity.  Finally, Monroe hits a bicycle kick and Niven hit a flying dropkick and then the bell rang bringing this one to a close.  Chic Monroe retains his title on a time limit draw decision.  Monroe and Niven both leave the ring.

The show ends and after the cameras stopped broadcasting, GM Max McGillicutty comes out and thanks the fans in attendance for showing up and says he’s got another treat for them that will not be advertised on TV.  Max announces the 5th Column (Karl Braun & Baron von Blood) will take on the team of the Stache and the Wraith.

Ant Graham comes out with 5th Column members Karl Braun and Baron von Blood.  Graham is not happy being relegated to the “undercard”.  Max tells him to deal with it and sends them to the ring.  Next, the Wraith comes out and gets a decent pop.  As he is walking down to the ring the music changes and out comes the Stache to an even bigger pop.  The Stache joins the Wraith at ringside and they enter the ring.  They shake hands as the Wraith starts this one off.   This was an odd one. Right off the bat, the 5th Column double teamed the Wraith for 3 minutes.  The Stache kept trying to get in the ring but every time he did, the ref would send him to the outside and the beatdown on the Wraith continued.  Ant Graham threw a chair into the ring but the Wraith grabbed it and nailed Karl Braun with it.  Just as he was ready to tag out, the Baron would pull him back in.  The Baron eye raked the Wraith and then charged at him in the corner. The Wraith side stepped and the Baron flew over the top rope, hit his head on the post and fell to the outside of the ring. Ant was able to get the Baron back in before the 10 count.  Karl Braun kept the Wraith in their corner.  Braun nails the Flying Krautline and goes for a pin but the Wraith kicks out.   The Wraith makes it to his feet but Ant hits him in the head with his cane.  The Stache goes after Graham who stays just ahead of the cowboy.   Braun goes for the pin again but Wraith makes it to the ropes.  He looks to his corner to make the tag but no one is there.   Braun puts the Wraith up on the top turnbuckle but the Wraith fights him off and Karl falls back in the ring.  The Wraith then delivers a flying elbow smash and gets the 1-2-3.  The Wraith has (singlehandedly) won the match.  Baron Von Blood hits him from behind with a chair but the Stache finally gets in and fights off the 5th Column and chases them away with the chair.  The Wraith turns around and sees the Stache holding the chair thinking he hit him.  The Wraith gets into the Stache’s face and has words.  He shoves the Stache who falls down, stunned.  The Wraith is all pissed off and he storms off leaving the Stache wondering what the hell just happened.

Stay tuned as there WILL be fallout from this.  More to come.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2016 #481

Hello fans and welcome back to the HCW Wrestling newsletter.  After stepping away from our home for the last show, we tested the waters in Tucson and received a very warm welcome.  We will continue to expand to other cities and, if available, other states.  For now, we’re back in Phoenix ready to bring you the next installment of our show.

Before anything can begin, the Omegatron lights up and we get another update from his Royalness King CJ.  CJ says that he appreciates the well-wishes from his fans and that is definitely helping him in his recovery.  He is happy to report that he’s up to 71% and in no time expects to be back at 100% and then WATCH OUT…CJ will be back.

In the back, the 5th Column (Karl Braun and Baron von Blood) corner the Stache in the back.  They look to rough him up for sticking his nose in their business and the Wraith walks over.  The 4 stand toe to toe but Ant Graham takes his team away.

Today’s show kicks off with Mr. Wrestling #5 challenging Wilber Townsend (w/the Ambassador) for his spot in the World title lineup.  5 would have done much better if the Ambassador had not been there.  Just when he thought he was on a roll, the Ambassador would trip him or eye gouge him in the corner.  Wilber used his brute strength to hammer on the back of Mr. Wrestling 5 weakening his back.  After dropping Wilber with a belly to back suplex, it seemed that 5 may have hurt himself on that.  Wilber capitalized by hammering 5’s back with vicious blows.  Finally, he rolled 5 up and with a foot on the bottom rope (for leverage), Wilber got the pin.  Wilber Townsend retains his spot in the lineup for the World title.  (17 min)

*********Fans vote*********
So far, the votes are looking like this for the match between Phat Sol and Jerry Saunders:

Tables, Ladders and Chairs 28%
Last Man Standing – 22%
Phoenix Street fight – 22%
Boot Camp – 18%
I Quit – 10%

The fans attending the shows have been more interactive and so far, it looks like the TLC match has the lead but now that we are back in the Valley of the Sun, maybe that Street fight rules match will become more popular.  There is one week left for fans to vote so be sure to get those votes in now.

We move on to our next match and this one is tag team action with The Steel Curtain vs Superquake Ferguson & Angry Jack Lawson.  The Steel Curtain challenged Ferguson and Lawson for their spot.  Before the match can begin, The Muscles Trio make their way down and sit at commentary.  The Muscles boys taunted the Steel Curtain from commentary but that didn’t stop the Curtain from controlling the match.  The Muscles boys saw that their taunting wasn’t having the effect they wanted so they decided to get physical.  At the 7 minute mark, with all 4 men were in the ring, Buzz nails Superquake with a slingshot suplex but then gets eye raked blinding him.  Starbuck was unloading on Angry Jack and then got flung out of the ring.  The Muscles Trio then attacked Starbuck hitting him with a chair and then hurling him into the steel steps.  They quickly ran back to commentary and tried to look innocent.  The ref saw Starbuck on the outside and began to count him out. Buzz recovered but was unable to help Starbuck get back in the ring in time and therefore got counted out.  Ferguson and Angry Jack retain their spot in the World tag team lineup.  (7 min).  After the match, the Muscles Trio attacked and stomped on Buzz until Biceps Bannerman came back out for the save.  Starbuck recovered and helped his team chase the Muscles boys away.  I’m sure the Steel Curtain and Biceps Bannerman will have more than words for them.

MJ is in the back with the World Tag Team Champions the Smashers.  MJ says that the Steel Curtain are a joke as they can’t even beat a bunch of circus clowns.  Tonight though, they take on the team of The Ryzing Storm – Travis and Terra Ryzing.  Smasher #1 says that it will be a rrrrrrrrrrrush when they have their first win under their belts. Smasher #2 asks if the fans can “dig that ya losers”.

We go back to the ring for our Ladies match.  Lexy Flexx is taking on Spain’s own El Gato Negro.  The black cat is not in the ladies top 10 so she is challenging Lexy for her spot.  This one barely got going.  Lexy basically nullified a move from El Gato but then she got tossed out of the ring and got counted out.  El Gato Negro gets the win in under two minutes.  GM Max McGillicutty comes out and says that is not the way things will be done in the HCW so he says the two will have another match and it will be a no-count out match.  He tells the ref to restart the match.  This time it went a bit longer but El Gato was totally in control until the Duchess came out.  Lexy took the opportunity to distract the ref while the Duchess hit El Gato Negro in the elbow with a chair.  She looks hurt.  Lexy then grabbed El Gato and locked in the DIS-ARM-HER FUJIWARA ARMBAR and El Gato had no choice but to tap out.  Lexy Flexx retains her spot in the lineup.  (11 min) The Duchess leaves the ring smiling.

The Crocodile Hunter is in the back and he says he wants to make sure he can showcase his talents and wants to do that tonight when he challenges Perfect Pecs Stoddard for his shot at the US Title.  Pecs walks over and towers over the Hunter.  “What did you say little man?  You want a shot at me?  First, look at me then look at you..no wait…don’t look at you.  Look at me.  I am pure specimen of perfection and if you want to take THIS on, sure, I’ll humor you but don’t whine and complain after I’ve annihilated you.”  Pecs then walks off.

It’s time to go back to the ring. Next, Dude USA Mick Rude (#10 seed) challenges Billy Robbins (#3 seed) for his spot in the US title lineup.  Mick Rude came out and he’s a typical example of a surfer.  He’s in shape and he got the attitude but I guess we need to see if he’s got the talent.  Billy Robbins comes out and he looks like he’s been put out with this match.  It doesn’t seem like he cares all that much.  Robbins nailed a slingshot suplex and thought he had it all wrapped up until Dude dropped him with a Dude Awakening.  Billy then realized this was not going to be a cake walk.  Dude would drop him with toe holds, single leg takedowns and hip tosses.  Billy had no idea what hit him.  Mick then locked him in the surfboard and with nowhere to go, he had no choice but to tap out.  Dude USA Mick Rude gets the win and moves up in the rankings and Billy Robbins, defeated, moves down.  (9 min)

Backstage, The Ryzing Storm (Travis and Terra) say that tonight is their night and they will walk out with the titles.  MJ will be a non-factor as they become the top team in the HCW.

We go back to the ring for the confrontation between The Crocodile Hunter and Perfect Pecs Stoddard for Pec’s title shot.  Pecs came down to the ring and posed for everyone and of course, he was booed.  Croc comes out and he gets a pop and that frustrates Stoddard.   The Crocodile Hunter shocked the world with his ability to move so quickly.  Stoddard looked like he was standing still next to Croc.  Knife edge chops and a vertical drop DDT kept Stoddard confused.  The Hunter started to set Pecs up for the Croc’s Throne but in an act of desperation, Pecs hit a low blow.  That gave him a second to recover and then hit the White Noise Piledriver to get the pin.  Pecs wins the match and retains his spot in the US title hunt.  (11 min)

We cut back to Max’s office and he is hosting the contract signing between the British Crippler and Ravishing Raquel for the Ladies title.  Max states that the match will be taking place on the 6/26 show.  Raquel asked why they were waiting so long.  Crippler asked if Raquel was that eager to get her ass kicked.  The two almost came to blows right then and there.  Max regained control and said that the two of them cannot meet in singles action but if the Crippler wants to team up with the Queen’s Court and if Raquel can find two teammates, they could do either tag or 6 person tag teams.  Raquel signed the contract first and then the British Crippler did.  Raquel stated that the Crippler wants the hiatus so she can prepare to become a 1st time loser.  The Crippler slapped Raquel across the face and chaos ensued.  Fortunately, there were suits present (to witness the contract signing – not sure why they were needed) and both ladies were separated pretty quickly.  As Raquel was leaving (aka being forcibly removed), she told the Crippler to polish up that belt nice as she was taking it regardless.

In the back, El Gato Negro with her arm wrapped up and on ice, confronted the Duchess who just attacked her and went after her bad arm again.  Man, I don’t know why but the Duchess REALLY doesn’t care of El Gato Negro.  Suits from the back had to separate the two.

It’s time for our Main Event and it will be a World Tag Team title match:   Smashers (w/MJ) (champions) vs The Ryzing Storm.  Travis and Terra Ryzing made their way to the ring first.  They got an ok reaction but nothing to write home about.  Next, the champs led by MJ came out and the booing was deafening.  The champs flipped off the fans as they walked down to the ring.  It looked to me like they were ready to tear the heads off of someone. For the first 5 minutes of the match, the Ryzing Storm looked like they had the number of the Smashers.  In fact, Terra kept MJ from interfering on a couple of occasions.  Terra hogged the ring for the first 10 minutes of the match and then finally tagged his partner in.  Smasher #2 immediately caught him with a backbreaker and went for a pin only to get a 1 count.  He tags in Smasher #1 who hits a Russian legsweep.  He went for the pin but got a 2 count.  Smasher #1 ran across the ring and took out Terra.  Smasher #2 picked up Travis and DESTROYED him with a powerbomb.  He made the cover and got the 1, 2, 3.  The Smashers are victorious in their first title defense.  The two with MJ stand over an unconscious Travis Ryzing as the show comes to an end.

Thanks for reading.  Stay tuned for more action.
