Hello fans and welcome back to another installment of the HCW Wrestling Newsletter. Today is Day 3 of our Critical Mass PPV as well as the 900th issue of this newsletter. What a great way to celebrate and close our biggest event of the year. We have an action packed card so let’s get on with it.
Pyro
goes off to kick off the show. GM Max
McGillicutty comes out and thanks the fans again for taking the journey with
them. He reminds everyone that after
tonight’s conclusion, HCW will go on hiatus giving our staff and talent a
couple of weeks to rest and recuperate before we hit the trail again in
May. He also announced that tonight’s
main event for the World Title between Champion the Wicked Prophet and everyone’s
favorite flannel wearing lumberjack Jack Lumber will have a special stipulation. Max announces that the title match will not
only be no disqualification but will be a “lumberjack” match – meaning that 12
people from the roster will surround the ring to prevent either man from trying
to leave (PROPHET). HCW’s first official
Queen – Goldie Locks – puts her crown and title on the line against Lady
Hermann. The winner becomes the ONLY
female royalty in HCW. The loser is out
of HCW. Maximillian Redbeard and Superquake
Ferguson take on the Smashers in a Steel Cage.
Master Bull defends his Anytime/Anywhere title against Apollo Gyze. Derek Deveraux gets one last shot at the
Banker’s TV title. He’s proven he can
defeat the Banker without any outside interference so he hopes to see lightning
strike twice. Will that, let’s get this
show moving.
The
steel cage is erected around the ring and out first match is ready to get
going. First, Maximillian Redbeard and Superquake
Ferguson make their way out to a nice pop from the crowd. They shake hands with fans and then enter the
cage through the door. Redbeard starts
to climb the cage wall and then sits on top of the top turnbuckle,
waiting. The Smashers make their way out
next. Smasher #1 gets on a mic and says
that of any team that has ever wrestled in a ring, be it the Road Warriors, the
Four Horsemen, any of the Express’s, all pale in comparison to their
might. The fans take exception and boo
the crap out of them. The Smashers make
their way to the ring and enter through the door. The four men waste no time and the fists
begin flying. The Smashers had control
of the first half of the match but after 11 minutes in, the tide changed and Redbeard
and Ferguson dominated. We join the
match at the 15 minute mark.

The
Smashers exit the ring and are declared the winners. As the cage was raised, medics came out to
check on Ferguson and Redbeard. Ferguson
had to be taken to the back on a stretcher but his extreme size and weight
proved difficult but eventually they got him to the back. Redbeard got a bandage on his head to stop
the bleeding and then was helped to the back also. It is clear that the feud between these two
teams is not over by a longshot.
The
Anytime/Anywhere Champion Master Bull was being interviewed when he was
attacked from behind by Apollo Gyze.
There was no referee around but it seems Apollo was trying to get the
upper hand. Master Bull looked sad about
something before the attack and I think we were going to hear what it was until
Apollo charged in. The two men fought
around the back and then took it out to the ring so their match could start.
Once
the bell rang to officially start the match, it was all the champion.

Bull successfully defends his title for the 3rd time in as many
days. Bull looks down at Apollo, takes
his belt from the ref and then heads to the back shaking hands with the
fans. Looks like Apollo is 0-2 this
weekend.
Backstage,
the TV champion the Banker is with his manager Ruth Heartless. The Banker says that Derek Deveraux got lucky
only because the Banker was concerned for his manager. Ruth says that Derek will pay.
We
make our way back to the ring for our TV Title match. A no DQ/countout rule has been put into place
to avoid the Banker from getting intentionally counted out or
disqualified. First, Derek Deveraux
makes his way out to a nice pop from the crowd.
He shakes hands with the fans and enters the ring. He paces back and forth waiting for his
opponent. Next, the loudspeakers blare
out “Everyone has a price … for the Banker!”
The TV champion and his manager come out to massive booing from the
fans. He ignores them and saunters down
to the ring holding his title high. He
gets into the ring and before Derek can go on the offensive, the Banker puts a
hand up and asks for a mic. “You want
this title because what, you think it will bring you prestige? You think it will bring you wealth? I will give you this one and only
opportunity. There (points to the
briefcase) is your wealth. Bow out now,
skip the humiliation, and take your wealth.
If you don’t, I will humiliate you; I will break you. You will wish you never set foot in this ring.” Derek ponders it and then hesitates when Ruth
opens up the case and we see stacks of 100’s.
His eyes go wide. He looks to the
crowd who are screaming “Don’t do it” but the allure of that much cash is too
much to ignore. He takes the
briefcase. He starts to walk away but
then he turns and SWINGS the case right into the Banker knocking him to the
ground. He kicks the case out of the
ring. The bell rings. The Banker says “Ok, the hard way.”
For
8 minutes, the Banker and Derek were toe to toe but as soon as Ruth got
involved, it became all about the Banker and he dominated the match however nothing
he did would keep Derek down. The Banker
kept hitting Derek but Derek wouldn’t quit or get pinned. We now join the match at the 22 minute mark.

match is a draw and the Banker retains his title. He rolls out of the ring and grabs the
briefcase. He looks back at Derek and
laughs. The fans boo as he makes his way
to the back. Derek spends a few moments
with the fans and then leaves.
Lady
Hermann is backstage. She says that
Goldie is an imposter to the crown and once she loses, she will be out of HCW
and she will be the first Lady and Queen of HCW.
Queen
Goldie Locks is with Larry Morton. She
says that Lady Hermann is delusional if she thinks she’s walking out with her
crown. Goldie says that Lady Hermann
couldn’t cut it when fighting to become Queen and she’s not going to take her
crown away now.
We
head back to the ring for the next match.
First, Lady Hermann comes out and the fans boo her heavily. She flips them off (not very lady like) and makes
her way to the ring. She enters the ring
and continues to taunt the fans until the Royal music plays and out comes Queen
Goldie Locks. Her royalness stands on
the stage and waves to the fans. Shen
then hands her cape, crown and scepter to an assistant and then she makes her
way to the ring. Lady Hermann jumps out
and attacks Queen Goldie prompting an earlier than expected start to the
match.

Queen Goldie Locks gets the win and
retains her title. Lady Hermann loses her
title and in throwing salt on an open wound, she is now out of HCW. The fans taunt her with “Na Na…Na Na Na Na…Hey
Hey Hey…Goodbye”. The former Lady
Hermann, sans her ‘title’ walks to the back sneering at the fans and then
disappears behind the curtain. Goldie
stays and celebrates with the fans before heading back herself.
The World Champion the Wicked Prophet is
backstage with Larry Morton. He has
something to say:
Jacko! When people
think of iconic lumberjacks, they think of Paul Bunyan:
Man, what a
disappointment you are in comparison.
Your wrestling skills
are more on par with the dumb ox.
You’ve never done
anything noteworthy in your wrestling “career”. Tonight, I will again show the
world why you’ll be forgotten.

The Champ walks off leaving Larry
speechless.
It’s time for our Main Event. First, we hear “TIMMMMBERRRRR” but Jack doesn’t
come out.
Jack Lumber
doesn’t do his normal walk out, instead he begins the night sitting in the
Lumber Lounge, interacting with fans, and soaking in their positive energy.
Before he goes to the ring for his championship match with WP, he gets on the
mic and gives a speech to the most loyal fans in the HCW:
“How quickly did
the wicket prophet forget that we were the ones that humbled him?!” (Fans in Lumber Lounge cheer)
“How quickly did
he forget that he had to create an alter ego just to feel important again?”
(Fans cheer louder)
“How quickly did
he forget that he sulked away from the HCW to hide in his shame after we
defeated him fair and square to become world champion?!” (Fans erupt)
“Well this time we
are going to give him a fight that he will never forget and show once again
that honor and heart are what will eventually win in the end. He can only cheat
his way to the top so many times before his true talent is revealed for what it
is: Secondary to that of Jack Lumber!” (At this point the cheers from the
Lumber Lounge and even other fans in the arena are deafening).
Jack makes his way
to the stage, more serious than ever to take home the belt and make sure it
never falls into the hands of WP again!

Lumber stands on the stage soaking in the pop from the crowd. He then makes his way to the ring high-fiving
with the fans. He makes a lap around the
ring interacting before climbing into the ring.
Jack then climbs a turnbuckle eliciting an even louder pop. He climbs down and turns to the stage as the
music changes and out comes the World Champion, the Wicked Prophet. The cheers immediately turn to boos as he
slowly makes his way to the ring. Both
men look to be in great shape. Prophet
enters the ring and meets Jack in the middle of the ring. The ref checks both men for foreign objects
and then motions to the back. The
lumberjacks make their way out and surround the ring. They are there to ensure the action stays in
the ring. The bell rings (match posted
in full).

knees as he clutches the title closely. The
show comes to an end with Jack holding his title high and the fans pop is just
deafening.
