Hello wrestling fans and welcome back to another installment of the HCW Wrestling Newsletter. Our show will end with the coronation of our new King – the Ragin Cajun Rad Gumbo. We have an exciting show for you today so without further ado, let’s get this one moving.
Pyro
goes off and out comes Drew the Canadian Love Machine. He is booed as he marches down to the
ring. He gets in and says that Jack
agreed to give him one last match and this time, he will make it count. He looks and sees that Lumber Lounge fan he
attacked at the last show sitting in the front row center at ringside. He glares at Drew. Drew dismisses him. He says that he is so confident he will win
tonight, he will even put his career on the line. However, since HCW isn’t big enough for him
and Jack, their match will be the loser must retire. Jack Lumber comes out to a huge pop from the
crowd
Drew
asks for one last match against Jack. If
he loses tonight, he will retire. Drew
should lose and retire from HCW. He
makes amends with Jack and goes out to a pop from the crowd. Jack says that if he has to put his career on
the line then the person who loses must say “I Quit”. It’s announced that their match is now an “I
Quit” rules match. You can’t be pinned
or counted out; you must say those words in order for the match to end. GM Max McGillicutty comes out and says that
they are not up next. He has the lineup
already set and these two will be on later in the show. He asks for both men to head to the back and
refrain from any attacks or he will fire someone on the spot. Jack leaves first followed by Drew.
First
up is to determine the #1 contender to the TV title. First, Matches Malone comes out to a small
pop from the crowd. Once there, the
music changes and we hear “Everyone has a Price…for the Banker” and the
briefcase-wielding Banker comes out with his manager Ruth Heartless. The duo are booed heavily as they make their
way to the ring. The Banker is caught
off-guard and Malone dominates for 7 solid minutes only allowing the Banker to
get in 2 offensive moves. The Banker
finally got desperate and threw Malone out of the ring. He then distracted the ref while Ruth blasted
Malone with the briefcase. She ran back
to her corner when the ref turned around and began the count. He reached 10 and counted Malone out. He awards the match to the Banker who is now
the #1 contender for the TV title. (7 ½
min)
Backstage,
the Steel Curtain are being interviewed.
Buzz says that he had his shot at the crown taken from him by the Wicked
Prophet so it was only fair for him to return the favor. He says he really didn’t want the burden of
the crown but appreciates the championships they’ve won in the past as what
will come in the future. Starbuck says
that they will continue to reign as the 6 Man Tag Team Champions until a better
team unseats them but hasn’t seen much from the current roster. Tommy Lightning storms in and says that he is
going to find new teammates and he wants a shot at the 6 man titles at the PPV
in April. Starbuck tells him that if he
can find two partners who can stand being next to him, they can have the
match. Tommy smirks and walks off. Starbuck says they need to head to the ring
for their match. Buzz leans over and
says “Word”.
Next
up is Tag Team action. First, the Hubers
– Butch and Ferb – make their way out to booing from the crowd. They get in the ring and continue to jaw jack
with the fans. The music changes and out
comes Buzz and Starbuck Steel – the Steel Curtain. The fans pop huge for them as they make their
way to the ring. They are looking to
move up in the rankings of the Tag team top 10 and the Hubers are in their way. The match gets underway and for 14 minutes,
both teams were practically even. The
Curtain and the Hubers went toe to toe with neither team getting the upper
hand. At the 15 minute mark, the
Curtain managed to double team Ferb for 3 minutes which gave them the upper
hand. At the 18 minute mark, Buzz hit
the ropes and dropped Ferb with a Superman Punch. He made the cover and got the 1-2-3. The Steel Curtain get the win and the fans
pop huge. This win puts the Steel
Curtain one step closer to a shot at the Tag Team Titles.
Next
up we have Lady Hermann vs Violet Valkyrie for the #1 spot for the ladies title. Violet Valkyrie comes out first to a huge pop
from the crowd. She shakes hands with
the fans and even posed for a few selfies.
She gets into the ring and climbs the turnbuckle pumping both arms in
the air. Her music is abruptly cut off
and out comes her Ladyship Lady Hermann.
Lady Hermann makes her way out and is booed all the way to the
ring. She gets into the ring and
immediately attacks Violet. Violet fought
back and held her own eventually trapping her Ladyship in the Triangle Choke
and Lady Hermann tapped out. Violet gets
the win and will be going on to meet Korbi Kong for the Ladies Title. (8 min)
Just then, the Omegatron lit up and it showed ‘Sassy’ Maxine DeVito
attacking Korbi. Violet ran to the back
to help her friend but as soon as she rounded the corner, she got blindsided by
J9. Both ladies attacked until Catalina
Harper came in swinging a chair and chased Maxine and J9 off. Catalina checked on them before calling for
medical attention.
While
backstage, we see Anytime/Anywhere Champion Scooter J walking around. His normal cohort TNT is nowhere to be
found. Just then, a ref showed up and
Scooter J immediately went into defensive mode.
He kept watch but no one showed up.
SJ then inquired “Dude, what the hell?” and just then, Master Bull came
running in and hit SJ with a spear. He
made the cover and got a 3 count. Master
Bull just defeated Scooter J for the AA title.
Bull held the title high but as soon as he heard a commotion heading his
way, he left.
Career
vs Career is up next. Drew the Canadian
Love Machine comes out first and is booed.
He makes his way to the ring and enters.
“Choppin Wood and Lookin Good” plays and out comes Jack Lumber. Jack is super serious and makes his way to
the ring. He goes and stops by the fan
who Drew attacked and shakes his hand.
He enters the ring. The ref
explains the I Quit rules and this one is ready to get underway.

Drew is out of HCW. He can’t
believe it. 6 years in HCW and its over. He gets up rubbing the small of his back and
walks over to Jack. He starts talking to
him and then extends his hand. The fans
begin to cheer. Jack looks to the crowd
for approval before looking to his fan club fan who gives him a thumbs up. Jack shakes Drew’s hand and the fans pop
HUGE. It looks like Drew gets to go out
as he came in…a favorite of the fans with all seemingly forgiven. Jack leaves and lets Drew interact with the
fans one last time. Drew spends a few
minutes with the fans and then makes his way up the ramp. Once on the stage, he turns and salutes the
fans before heading to the back. Just as
he turns around, World Champion the Wicked Prophet attacks him dropping him
with the Unrighteous Dominion before hurling him off the stage crashing through
tables below. Holy S**t chants ring
out. Prophet smirks and then leaves.
Backstage,
we see a limo pulling up and the fans pop as the Cajun King Rad Gumbo exits
with his manager Ms. Alexandria. They
make their way into the building for tonight’s coronation.
It’s
time for our Main Event. First, Ovaltine
Jackson comes out to a nice pop from the crowd.
He makes his way to the ring; excited for his shot at the title. Next, the loudspeakers blare out “VAMPIRE
LUNGES FOR EVERYBODY” and out comes Dr. Red Fang accompanied by his manager the
Ambassador. They are booed heavily and
Fang snarls and hisses at the fans as they walk by. The Ambassador approaches the ref and it
appears he slips him something…a bribe maybe?

Dr.
Red Fang gets the (contested) win and retains his title. The ref leaves the ring and starts to hurry
to the back when TV Champion Texas Wildfire comes out and stops him questioning
what he was doing. The ref just brushed
past and made his way to the back. The
Ambassador gets on the mic and says that he’s warned Wildfire about sticking
his nose in their business. He’d best
back off if he knew what was good for him.
TW says he will always stand up to injustice and will work to see evil
thwarted. He leaves. The Ambassador whispers something to Fang who
cackles and then they leave.
It’s
time for the coronation of the new KING of HCW…two time winner ‘the Ragin
Cajun’ Rad Gumbo. Gumbo comes out, not
on a throne but walks to the ring alongside his manager Ms. Alexandria. They get into the ring and Gumbo sits on the
throne. Minions rush back and forth
dusting off his robes and crown. During
the coronation, Madman Mason appears on the stage. Gumbo stands up removing his crown and hands
it and the scepter to his manager. Gumbo
yells at Mason who only looks toward the ring and nods. Ms. Alexandria, holding the scepter, SMASHES
it over Rad’s head knocking him unconscious.
Mason heads to the ring and Ms. Alexandria join him. WHAT THE HELL???? She raises his arm and the fans are
speechless. Booing then ensues and
continues even after the cameras stopped rolling.
There
is sure to be fallout so stay tuned.
