newsletter. We’ve got a great show lined
up for you today that will be headlined by Ladies Champion Taylor Bella (and
her manager Figaroa Newton) taking on challenger Missy Chick. Missy lucked into the match by taking out
Kimberly Kiccsass to get the honor.

Pyro goes off and our show is ready
to go. GM Max McGillicutty comes out to
a pop from the crowd. Max tells us that
he has breaking news regarding next month’s PPV. He said that the name of the event is being
renamed from “All Hail the King” to Reigning Royalty and this is because, for
the first time ever, there will a ladies battle royal to determine the first
ever “Queen of HCW”. I’m sure other
(minor) royalty - Lady Hermann and the Duchess will be ready to go in this
match. Max departs and the show gets
ready to go.
The first show of the night begins
with Red McNulty making his way down to the ring to booing from the crowd. Next, over the loudspeakers blares “Gumbo
7:30 says it’s suppa time, bitch!” and the Ragin Cajun Rad Gumbo makes his way
out with his manager MJ. The two make
their way down to the ring. McNulty
immediately goes on the offensive. It
took Rad a few minutes to get back into the groove of things but eventually he
did and gave just as good as he got. The
fans could tell that MJ and Rad just weren’t on the same page and things did
not flow smoothly. McNulty tried to take
advantage of that by tossing Rad out of the ring but he was back in pretty
quick and immediately locked in the Onion Lock (Muta lock) and he got McNulty
to tap out. The Ragin Cajun gets the
submission win. He and MJ then leave
with McNulty following shortly thereafter.

Backstage, Missy Chick gloats to
Kimberly Kiccsass that she is the one getting the title match tonight and not
Kimberly and she laughs as she skips away.
We go back to the ring for our next
match. Ice Dagger comes out first to his
music “Ice Dagger Baby” and he’s booed all the way down to the ring. He flips off the fans as he gets into the
ring. Next, Billy Robbins comes out to
defend his spot in his top 10 line up.
Billy gets a pop from the crowd and looks ready to kick this one
off. Apparently, the timekeeper didn’t
get the memo on this one and forgot to change the time limit to 20 minutes so
this one had a 30 minute time limit and it was needed to see resolution to the
end of this match. Enough time passed
allowing Billy to really kick it into high gear and once he climbed to the top
turnbuckle and launched connecting with a flying elbow drop on to the prone
form of Ice Dagger, he made the cover to get the 1-2-3. Billy retains his spot
in a 25 minute battle.
Backstage, Ladies Champion Taylor
Bella and her manager Figaroa Newton (he demands not to be called ‘Figgy’
anymore) walk into the office of the GM and tell Max that since the last match
had a longer time limit that her match in the main event would have to be cut
short. Figaroa lambasts Max for the slip
up and demands that because of this insult, he postpone Taylor’s match. Max laughs and says that “No, there is no
worry. See, the good thing with having
more matches on the card, we can shrink the time limit of those matches and now
the champ will have a full half an hour to do what she needs to.” Whatever Figaroa and Taylor were trying to
accomplish seems to have backfired and now instead of a 20 minute time limit,
it’s now 30 and it gives Missy that much more time to try to win the
title. Taylor and Figgy (oops, I mean
Figaroa) storm out of Max’s office.
We head back to the ring for our
next spot contention defense spot.
First, the challenger Hangman #3 comes out to booing from the fans. Next, defending his spot, Muscles McGuire
comes out with the other members of the Muscles Trio and they are all wearing
their rainbow colored bull horns.
McGuire is sporting his “Booty-O’s” T-shirt and gets a good pop from the
crowd. Muscles Weasley and Thorpe stayed
behind as McGuire went down to the ring.
Hangman #3 DESTROYED McGuire but could not capitalize with a pin. When they saw their brother in distress,
Muscles Weasley and Thorpe went down the ramp but stayed away from
ringside. There they interacted with the
fans drawing the ire from Hangman #3.
They caused just enough of a distraction that forced this one to go to a
time limit draw. Muscles McGuire retains
his spot in the lineup. Hangman #3
leaves and is pissed. (20 min draw)
We go backstage again and there is
a commotion. It appeared that Red
McNulty attacked the Ragin Cajun but both men continued to slug it out until
enough of the backstage hands rushed in to break it up. Max says he doesn’t understand why this
couldn’t be settled in the ring so he proposes that at the next Phoenix show,
Rad and Red will get to settle their differences within the confines of a steel
cage. The fans pop at that announcement. Max orders both men to go their separate ways
and threatens that if either attack the other before their match, one will be
suspended indefinitely.
Another spot challenge match is
ready to go. Challenger Ghee Buttersnaps
comes out first to a pop from the crowd.
Next, the lights go dim and eerie as Mason the Mangler with his manager
Ant Graham comes out. Graham leads Mason
to the ring and remains at ringside as the Mangler glares menacingly at
Ghee. Mason held the lead for about 13
minutes but then “the King of Cones” Magnum Kone came out and began handing out
ice cream to the fans at ringside. Ant
tried to complain to the ref but the ref said he wasn’t going to deprive the
kids of their ice cream. That little
diversion gave Ghee what he needed to start taking the match to the
Mangler. As Ghee was getting his
momentum going, Ant tried to interfere but Magnum was there to nullify the
threat. The fans popped as Magnum dumped
Graham into his ice cream cart and took him to the back. Mason complained and Ghee slapped on a power
arm bar and locked him up to get the 1-2-3.
Ghee gets the win with seconds to spare and moves up the rankings and
Mason moves down.
El Gato Negro is backstage being
interviewed and questions why Scarlett Phoenix slapped her after their last
match. She feels that maybe they didn’t
get everything accomplished they wanted so she tells Scarlett that when she
wants a rematch, she’ll get one.
For our next match, the Ryzing
Storm (Travis and Terra Ryzing) come out to challenge the Steel Curtain for
their spot. Buzz and Starbuck Steel come out for the first time in a long time
in front of a Tacoma crowd and they get a massive pop. They head to the ring but before they can
enter, the Ryzing Storm attack them. The
Ryzing storm had the advantage for a whole 3 minutes and then the Steel Curtain
kicked it into high gear and there was no looking back. Starbuck ended taking out Travis with a
flying bodypress over the top rope. Buzz
then dropped Terra with a Superman punch and a hook of the leg got him the
1-2-3. The Steel Curtain are successful
in the defense of their spot in the lineup.
The fans pop again for them as they leave the ring. (8 min)
Max is back in his office and he
says that before the card is shown for the Phoenix Heat show, he worked hard to
put together an estimated top 10 for both singles men and ladies. Once the main event concludes, they will have
a good idea of what that looks like.
It’s now time for
our Main Event. Missy Chick makes her
way out to the ring and she gets a pop from the crowd. Next, Figaroa Newton comes out to introduce
the Ladies Champion Taylor Bella and both of them get the raspberry from the
crowd. They even started a “Figgy” chant. After hollering for the fans to “shut their
pie holes” he introduces the most dominating Ladies Champion ever…Taylor
Bella. Taylor comes out holding her title high while
Figgy yells at the fans. Taylor enters
the ring prancing around the ring with her title. She holds it into Missy’s face and then climbs
the turnbuckle as the fans boo her.
Figgy leaves the ring and Taylor hands over her title and the bell rings
kicking this one off. Taylor dominated
for the first 7 minutes and then there was a hiccup when Missy tried to
retaliate against Figgy. Not sure what
happened as the ref even looked confused.
We now join the match at the 9 minute mark.

Kimberly Kiccsass runs down and pulls Missy out of the ring as Taylor distracts
the ref. She hits Missy with the Christo
before rolling her back into the ring.
Kimberly then left.
