Hello fans and
welcome back to the first 2018 episode of Phoenix Heat. The camera pans around the audience and they
just pop. GM Master Bull comes out to
thank the fans for a successful 2017 and looks forward to an awesome 2018. Bull says that tonight, they will be hosting
an all Ladies battle royal to see who will be the first to challenge Ladies Champion
Taylor Bella for her championship. That
will be tonight’s main event. Bull
leaves so that the show can begin.
Kicking off
tonight’s show is Talon McFrost who makes his way down to the ring first to a
mixed reaction from the crowd. Next, the
new guy the Banker comes out carrying his briefcase and he’s accompanied by his
manager Ruth Heartless. The fans aren’t
sure how to react to him until he threatened to hit a fan. I guess he’s not a “good” guy. The fans boo him and he covers his ears like
it’s a piercing wail that is just too painful to listen to. Finally, the ref kicks this one off and we’re
off to the races. For about 10 minutes,
the Banker looked pretty sharp and his manager was there to immediately provide
words of wisdom (and hit them with the Banker’s briefcase). Much to everyone’s surprise, there was only
one pin attempt and one submission attempt all match. After the 11 minute mark, Talon began to
fight back and nullify the effects of Ms. Heartless. Finally, the bell rang bringing this one to a
draw finish. The Banker was frustrated
that he didn’t get to stamp Talon with “DENIED” as Talon took off right after
the match ended because he knew what was coming. The Banker and his manager left as the fans
heckled them all the way to the back. (20 min draw)
The Unknown
Assassin and J C Dykes come out and want to head to the ring for an
announcement but there is no security to line the ramp for them. Dykes hollers for Master Bull to come
out. Bull arrives on stage and Dykes
begins to lambast him for not having security there. Bull shows them tonight’s show saying that
neither man were on the docket for tonight so no extra security was hired. If they want to head to the ring, he will go
with them. Bull asked in a polite manner
for the fans not to throw stuff…at him.
UA and Dykes are another matter.
The fans laughed as all three men head to the ring. Dykes grabs a mic and begins to gloat about
UA taking out Phatty Patty Sol and how he’ll never be the same again. Both men have a good laugh until a spotlight
shines up in the rafters and standing up there looking down into the ring is
none other than Phat Sol himself dressed up like the Crow (not Sting but
better). He points, not a bat, but a
finger accompanied by a threatening glare (sort of what Hogan did when he was
‘hulking up’) at Dykes and UA. Dykes
complains about Phat stalking him.
Master Bull says that Phat is not cleared to wrestle so he tells Dykes
and UA to grow a pair and stop worrying about someone camping out in the
rafters. Dykes questions “Well what if
he comes down from the rafters? What
then?” Bull responds “Well, then you may
be in a bit of trouble.” Master Bull
leaves the ring leaving Dykes and the Unknown Assassin watching in disbelief as
Bull abandoned them and then questioningly glancing up at Phat in the
rafters. The two ended up leaving
without the fans pelting them with anything.
All of a sudden, TV champion Texas Wildfire came out and went after UA
and the two began fighting all the way to the back.
We’re ready for
the next match. The Steel Curtain (Buzz
and Starbuck Steel) come out first but for whatever reason, they are not
accompanied by their manager the Ambassador.
They look around in frustration wondering where he is but eventually
make their way down to the ring. Next,
their opponents Outback Oscar and the US Champion the Crocodile Hunter come out
to a big pop from the crowd. The match
begins when they hit the ring. For the first 4 minutes of the match, Croc and
Oscar controlled the match but then Buzz and Starbuck kicked it into high gear
and the 4 men put on a heck of a show.
14 minutes in, the Ambassador eventually makes his way down to the
ring. He immediately grabs a chair and
goes to use it on Croc but misses and hits Starbuck instead. Croc hits the Prince’s Throne and gets a 2
count. Starbuck tags out and Buzz comes
in and blasts Croc with a superman punch.
Buzz makes the cover and gets the 3 count. The Steel Curtain get the win even after
their manager almost cost them the match.
Afterwards, the Ambassador tried to apologize but Starbuck was
pissed. Buzz says that the Ambassador
seems to want to spend more time with Elitism and not them. Starbuck says that if he likes them so much,
he can manage them full time as they are FIRING him as their manager. The fans pop and the Ambassador is now
pissed. The Steel Curtain leave to a pop
from the crowd and the Ambassador leaves after stewing for a few moments. (15 min for the match; 5 extra for the
additional segment).
Backstage, the
Banker is sulking around for not beating Talon McFrost earlier in the program
and he is approached by ‘Top Gun’ Justin Winger. Winger jokingly questions why the Banker
couldn’t get the job done and starts to chuckle. Ruth Heartless hands the Banker his briefcase
and the Banker BLASTS Winger with it knocking him down. He beats Winger with the briefcase and then
takes out the stamp and stamps “DENIED” on Winger. He and Ruth laugh and walk off.
Our final match of
the night is the Ladies Battle Royal. The
winner gets to challenge Ladies Champion Taylor Bella to a match for the
championship. All 17 ladies including
the champ took part in the battle royal.
The Ladies Champion immediately climbed over the top rope eliminating
herself. She then went to sit at
ringside to scout the rest of the match. The competitors went flying over the
top rope almost instantly and before we knew it, we were down to the final
4: Kimberly Kiccsass, the Duchess, Missy
Chick and Ravishing Raquel. The Duchess
and Raquel eliminated each other taking their brawl over the top rope. Missy and Kimberly were the final two. Kimberly went to toss Missy out of the ring
but she landed on the apron. She leapt
over the top rope and locked in a scissored armbar. Kimberly was tapping out but this can’t end
on a pin or submission. With her arm
weakened, she was not able to prevent herself from being hurled over the top
rope and getting eliminated. Missy gets
the win and as she’s celebrating in the ring, Ladies Champ Taylor gets into the
ring and locks her in the Bella lock.
Missy is tapping out but Taylor won’t let go. Eventually she relents and Taylor stands tall
in the ring holding her title high as the show comes to an end.
