HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2013 - 01.7

Hello fans, Larry Morton Esq. here reporting live from Humble, TX; the site of the HWF elimination tournament to crown new champions.  Since everyone was already in town, we decided to just move ahead with the tournament.  All of the participants names were drawn at random and the matches were held over a 2 day period (I think we were a little off thinking this could get done in one day).   Here is how it all broke down:

Round 1

Ken Anderson got a bye to the second round.  The Super Warrior def Mark Henry.  Kevin Steen def Matt Morgan. Dolph Ziggler def Mike Knox.  Sheamus got a bye.  The Rock def. Hunico. James Storm def Damian Sandow.  Primo Colon gets a bye.  Kofi Kingston got a bye.  CM Punk def HHH.  Big Show def Chris Jericho.  Tyson Kidd def Wade Barrett.  Kane def Rhyno.  Epico Colon and Jeff Hardy went to a draw.  Daniel Bryan def Brodus Clay.  Jay Lethal got a bye.  The Miz got a bye.   RVD def BJ Whitmier.  Charlie Haas def Eric Young.  Superstar Billy Pearl def William Regal.  Matt Hardy gets a bye.  Jey USO def the Negronomicon after SBP interfered. Devon def Crimson.  Nigel McGuinness gets a bye.  Sin Cara gets a bye.  Sting def Booker T. Kurt Angle def Abyss.  Jimmy USO def Cody Rhodes after Goldust ran in from the crowd to distract his brother.  Goldust is not under contract. Kid Kash def. Justin Gabriel.  Big E Langston def Tommy Dreamer.  Bubba Dudley def Shelton Benjamin.  Chavo Jr gets a bye.

Round 2

Super Warrior def Ken Anderson by CO; Dolph Ziggler def. Kevin Steen; The Rock def Sheamus; James Storm def Primo; Kofi def CM Punk; Big Show def Tyson Kidd; Kane advanced due to the bye from the previous round; Daniel Brian def Jay Lethal by submission in 2 minutes; RVD def. the Miz; Charlie Hass def Superstar Billy Pearl by CO after 2 min when the Negronomicon came down to distract him; Matt Hardy def Jay USO; Devon and Nigel went to a time limit draw; Sting def. Sin Cara; Kurt Angle def Jimmy USO; Big E def Kid Kash; Bubba def Chavo Jr.

Round 3

Dolph Ziggler def the Super Warrior; Rock def James Storm; Big Show def Kofi; Daniel Bryan def his partner Kane.  Afterwards, Kane stormed off.  RVD def Charlie Haas; Matt Hardy had a bye; Kurt Angle def Sting via CO; Bubba def Big E Langston.

Round 4

This round started “no DQ” as we didn’t want anyone else advancing due to a disqualification or count out. 

The Rock def Dolph Ziggler after Dolph tapped out to the sharpshooter; Daniel Bryan came back to defeat the Big Show after Kane came out to show his support; RVD defeated Matt Hardy; Kurt Angle def Bubba.

The final four will go on to Phoenix to wrestle for the HWF Championships.  After it comes down to the final 2, the ousted #3 and 4 will wrestle to see who gets what championship.
