Hello
fans and welcome back to our newsletter.
We are under 3 weeks till the PPV Zero Hour and the 3 day event is
shaping up really well.
The
show begins with the Ladies Champion the Duchess making her way out to the
stage. She says that she has
singlehandedly brought down the old Queen’s court and at the PPV, her Court
will eliminate Ms. Beckett and whomever she cons into teaming with her. She then leaves.
Our
first match kicks off with ScooterJ making his way out to a chorus of boos from
the fans. He flips them off,
uncaring. Hardcore Champ the Stache
makes his way out and the fans pop. GM
Max McGillicutty comes out and regretfully informs ScooterJ that this match
will not be for the Hardcore title.
ScooterJ gets a crazy look in his eyes and immediately attacks the
Stache. With the sneak attack, ScooterJ
held control during the match but as it progressed, the Stache battled back
with fervor. Each minute that
progressed, the Stache kept getting stronger and stronger. Finally, Stache gets ScooterJ locked in the
Handlebar (camel clutch) and ScooterJ taps out.
The Stache gets the win but his celebration is short lived as Dr. Red
Fang runs in and attacks him. He drags
the Stache out of the ring and rammed him into the steel steps. Refs and suits from the back had to come out
to prevent further attacks. (13 min)
Sonic
Blade is walking backstage all alone until King Wilber Townsend ran over and
attacked him. The beatdown was
shortlived as it was broken up almost immediately. Sonic challenged the King to a match tonight
which was accepted.
Next
up we have 5th Column member Karl Braun making his way out
first. Next, MJ leads Red McNulty to the
ring to a chorus of boos (more for MJ than Red I think). McNulty held the lead through 11 minutes but
then Braun just got more vicious. In the
final moments of the match, Braun locked in a stomach clawhold but Red actually
powered out of it and locked in a cobra clutch that Karl couldn’t escape from
so he tapped out. Red celebrates with MJ
before leaving. (16 min)
Backstage,
the Stache is being mended up and he looks directly at the camera and
challenges Dr. Red Fang to a match at the PPV.
We are pretty sure he’ll accept as Fang has been vocal about getting the
Hardcore title back.
Match
#3 is the #3 match between Drew the Canadian Love Machine and Texas
Wildfire. Wildfire can sew this up with
a win tonight. Both men make separate
entrances to the ring and both receive equal fanfare from the audience. Wildfire continued his hot streak through 11
minutes but then finally, the champ we all know finally turned it up. TW immediately went on the defensive as Drew
totally opened it up. After a couple of
near falls, Drew ends up hitting TW with the corkscrew piscado and hooks the
leg in the center of the ring to get the 1-2-3.
Drew wins this one. Both men
shake hands. TW still leads 2-1. (15 min)
The
Steel Curtain arrive and say that they want a match tonight and it doesn’t
matter who it is. Someone spoke up and
said they could have the Smashers or the Desperados. Buzz said he didn’t care (Starbuck chimed in
with ‘Word’) and said to just let them know when they’re on.
The
next match that follows is a ladies match.
Ravishing Raquel made her way out first to a mixed reaction. Even with her association with Prestige Inc
and her husband the Elitist Reid Rothchild, the fans still like her. Next, the Black Cat El Gato Negro makes her
way out to a pop from the crowd. The two
ladies wasted no time in slugging it out in the ring. In what surprised everyone, El Gato actually
dominated Raquel for a whopping 15 minutes but she could not keep Raquel down
for a 3 count. Raquel then battled back
hitting everything from the Ravishing Chickenwing to the Simply Ravishing and
mounted a comeback we’ve not seen in a long time. Both women noticed the time was running out
and after Raquel dropped El Gato with a hammershot to the back, she climbed up
to the top turnbuckle and nailed a moonsault.
It appeared to hurt her too and took longer for her to crawl over to
make the cover. Finally she got an arm
draped and the ref counted 1…2….and the bell rang bringing this one to a
draw. Raquel, grabbed a mic and said
that there was no way El Gato could stand up to her so she is issuing one final
challenge – at the PPV, she wants a 30 minute time limit match. This way when she wins, it will be
legit. El Gato accepted before leaving
the ring. (20 min draw)
Backstage,
we see Master Bull and Reid Rothchild going over a bunch of tapes. Master Bull asks Reid if he’s decided. Reid says he has and next week, they can
introduce the first new member to Prestige Inc.
Master Bull turns to the camera and says “WE’RE BACK BABY!”
Sonic
Blade makes his way out first to a pop from the crowd. King Wilber comes out next and receives a
mixed reaction (some people really like his creepiness). Sonic surprisingly is the aggressor here and
goes right after him. This one was a
true slugfest with no pin or submissions being attempted almost the entire
match. The two fought tooth and nail all
the way through the final seconds of the match.
Sonic hits a sunset flip and (taking a page out of the King’s handbook)
actually grabbed the rope for leverage while the count of 3 was made. Sonic gets the win with just seconds to
spare. Sonic goes to celebrate but King
Wilber sneaks up behind him and drops him with the Go To Sleep. King Wilber then stands over Sonic
challenging him to a match at the ppv.
Wilber laughs at him before leaving.
World
Tag Team Champs Pete the Pun-isher and Magnum Kone are backstage and Pete is
more irate than normal. He says that there
is no way these “chump-a-lumps” deserve a shot against them. He says that there is no way the Steel
Curtain makes it to the PPV and storms out.
It’s
time for the main event. Music hits and
out comes the Smashers. They are booed
and even without MJ in their corner, they get no love from the fans. Music changes and the Steel Curtain (Buzz and
Starbuck Steel) make their way out to a thunderous pop. The Steel Curtain go right after the Smashers
but everything ends fairly quickly as Pete the PUN-isher runs and taking out
both Starbuck and Buzz with a steel chair.
The ref awards the match to the Steel Curtain via DQ. Pete goes crazy taking turns hitting both
Buzz and Starbuck until they stopped trying to get up. He holds the bloody chair over his head and
screams as the show comes to an end.
