HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2016 #519

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  Things continue to shake up around here.  King CJ returns to the ring tonight.  We’ll see tag team action with two members of the Muscles Trio taking on two members from the Snake Clan.  The World Tag Team Champs the Steel Curtain have a pre-taped message for P&L.  Last but certainly not least, The Stache returns to the ring to defend his title against Drew, the Canadian Love Machine.  This makes the second time the Stache defends his title in just one week and 4th time in a month.  This guy is a machine.

Our show kicks off with tag team action.  First, Niven and Leiton Snake come down representing the Snake Pit.  They are then followed out by Thorpe and Weasley representing the Muscles Trio.  This one was a slobberknocker right from the get go.  It also got messy when the 5th Column came down and began jaw jacking with the Muscles.  The ref managed to regain control and had the 5th Column removed from ringside.  Once action got back underway, a lot of time had passed.  The time limit arrived quickly and this one ended in a draw.  No further action was taken by either team.  (20 min draw)

Backstage, the Wraith addresses the Stache’s comments about him not being a worthy contender.  The Wraith says the Stache will find out sooner, not later, that he’s messed with the wrong guy.

We head back to the ring for our next match.  El Gato Negro comes out first to a good pop from the crowd.  Taylor Bella comes out next and she actually posed with fans to take selfies.  Just when the fans thought she turned over a new leaf, she took one of the phones and smashed it on the floor.  Oops, isn’t destruction of personal property some sort of felony?  Taylor began by dropkicking El Gato out of the ring. She made it back in by the 7 count.  Taylor locked in an armbar and El Gato trapped her in the Wall-O-Cato (tarantula) but Taylor wouldn’t tap out.  All of a sudden, Taylor looks up the ramp and sees police walking to the ring.  They stop by the fan who had their phone smashed.  The fan pointed to Taylor and the cops started walking to the ring.  Taylor, not sure what was going to happen, jumped out of the ring and took off through the crowd.  She ended up getting counted out awarding the match to El Gato Negro in only 3 minutes.  The police went after Taylor tracking her through the crowd.

We go back to GM Max McGillicutty’s office and he’s scouting the web looking for new talent when he comes across a promo for a new guy he’s never heard of.

*Open Promo for "The Masked Gentleman" *MG Walks into the frame of the camera*

"And so it begins....for those who do NOT know me, let me simply introduce myself. They call me Masked Gentleman, or MG for short, now I don’t belong to ANY league.....Yet, I want all you promoters to know who you are dealing with. I am a former CWF Pro wrestler, I cause havoc everywhere I go, I am not at all your friend; I’m nobody's friend. IF you hire me, prepare for bedlam, interfering into your matches, and causing a scene. I don’t take being ignored lightly. Now You promoters can fight all you want for me, Highest bidder claims the services of MG....do you have the guts to handle MG....Don’t kid yourself, no one can, they tried. Till then your pain is my pleasure. *Drops mic and walks out of the frame*

Max sits back in his chair and scratches his chin.  “This guy may be worth looking into” he says.

We head back to the ring for our next match.  5th Column member Wendell Hammerschmidt and his manager Ant Graham.  They are booed as they head to the ring.  Former Column member Ivan Dragovich comes out to a pop and he rushes the ring.  Wendell bails as Ivan holds the ropes for him begging him to come back in the ring.  Finally he makes it in.  Ivan made quick work of Wendell and when Ant decided to try and interfere, he ate a jumping side kick basically taking him out of the equation.  Wendell tried to stop Ivan on his own but he failed.  Ivan finished Wendell off with a fallaway slam.  Ivan motions 1 down, 3 to go.  (9 min)

King CJ is backstage and says he hits the ring again tonight.  At some point, Baron von Blood will have to deal with the Hashtag and once CJ is done with him, he’s going back after his title.

We head back to the ring for our next match.  Angry Jack Lawson comes out first to the booing from the fans.  Mr. Wrestling #5 comes out next and gets a decent pop.  Jack and 5 spent most of the match fighting on the outside of the ring.  The ref had a lot of issues keeping control of this one.  Once 5 got rolled back into the ring, he popped up, ran to the ropes, bounced off and caught Jack as he was getting back into the ring with a missile dropkick that sent him back out of the ring crashing into the guard rails.  When this happened, the ref was already up to 7 and a 3 count later, he awarded the match to Mr. Wrestling #5 via countout.  Suits from the back came out to help Jack up but as soon as he got to his feet, he beat up the suits and stormed to the back.  (3 min)

TV Champion ScooterJ is backstage and says that he’s heard a lot about this King CJ and he’s not impressed.  However, he will take him on tonight but the TV title is not on the line.  He says he wants to see what the Hashtag brings.

A return to the ring brings more action.  Southern Belle makes her way to the ring and even though she’s trying very hard to be a heel, she still has fans popping for her.  Her opponent Betsy Cummings comes out next and the fans dislike her even more.  This one also went the distance (20 min draw) that actually had Betsy controlling most of the match.  Once the bell rang bringing this one to a close, the Duchess ran in and attacked Belle who had just been through a battle.  The Duchess caught Belle with a superkick and then locked in the All Hail Her Majesty.  Belle tried to tap and the ref tried to pull Duchess off Belle but had no success.   Finally, the Duchess let go and Belle collapsed.  The Duchess stood over her and put a foot on top of her while raising her arms in the air.  She eventually left and the ref helped Belle to the back.

A prerecorded video airs from the new Tag Team Champs the Steel Curtain.

Starbuck Steel:  You attack us because you got left out of the tournament?  Maybe you were left off because you SUCK.  Normally we would offer to beat your asses right here and now but we’re putting it on the line that we are not catering to your cowardly attacks.

Buzz Steel:  In fact, you don’t deserve to be in the same ring with us and until you earn that right, there will not be any title shots in the near future.  You DON’T have what it takes to be in the ring with us and if you don’t learn some manners, we’ll shove them down your damn throats!”

Starbuck:  Word

King CJ makes his way to the ring to a pop from the fans.  He gets in the ring and celebrates as signs with the # mark start popping up throughout the audience.  The TV Champ ScooterJ comes out and the fans boo him.  He doesn’t seem to care.  The bell rings and this one is underway.  It didn’t take long for the 5th Column (Baron von Blood, Karl Braun, Oswald Zimmerman and Wendell Hammerschmidt) to make their way to the ring and surround it.  King CJ did his best to ignore them but when he tried for a superkick and the Baron almost tripped him, CJ decided he’d had enough and took a swing at Baron.  The fact that he took his eyes off of ScooterJ wasn’t a good thing as ScooterJ nailed a huge clothesline dropping the King.  ScooterJ made the cover and got the 3 count.  ScooterJ realizing he had no beef with the 5th Column left.  The trophy holders then entered the ring and began a beatdown on CJ.  No one came to his aid.  Baron picked up CJ and locked him in a modified gas chamber sleeper.  After CJ stopped struggling, Baron dropped him and stood over him.  The 5th Column eventually left the ring.  (12 min for the match; 17 for the segment)

The World Champion the Stache is backstage.  He is asked if he’s worried about the Wraith’s comments made earlier this evening.  Stache says he no longer cares about the Wraith and tonight, he will rack up another title win against a deserving opponent.

It is time for the Main Event.  The challenger Drew, the Canadian Love Machine comes out first to the biggest pop of the night.  After he had his few moments in the ring, the music changed and out comes the champ the Stache.  Stache is pumped and ready to go.  The two men shake hands in the ring and this one, with a 30 minute time limit, begins.  The two were practically even through 14 minutes of the match with each one trading a slight lead over the other.  We join now at the 15 minute mark.

Just as we think the show is coming to an end, the Wraith makes his way back out.  Wraith makes his way over to a female fan of the Stache’s that he knows was cheering loudly for the former champ.  The Wraith starts to berate her and even starts to poke her in the shoulder.  Wraith is starting to get loud with her.  All of a sudden, the Stache makes his way back down and comes to the honor of his fan.  The Wraith was expecting it so as soon as he got close enough, the Wraith caught the Stache with a superkick.  He then proceeded to take the fan’s chair and hit Stache with it twice.  He then dropped it, picked up the Stache and then hit a PILEDRIVER on the chair.  Stache is busted open and appears to be out cold.  The show comes to an end with the Wraith standing over the prone body of the Stache laughing hysterically while medics and staff prevent any further attacks.

Thanks for reading. Stay tuned as there is much more to come.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2016 #518 – PPV fallout

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  As expected, there is quite a bit of fallout from October’s PPV Halloween Scream.  The PPV yielded the end of a feud between Magnum Kone and Rad Gumbo but with Pete the PUN-isher getting involved, it looks like a new feud has kicked off.  We did hear that Pete will be addressing the fans later regarding his actions.  Also, we saw the Steel Curtain defeat the Smashers in a steel cage to become the new World Tag Team Champions.  Buzz and Starbuck also got their hands on manager MJ and dealt with him appropriately.  Ravishing Raquel retained her Ladies title but her ‘fan’ made her presence known.   In fact, ‘Ravishing’ Ruby Princess makes her in-ring debut tonight.  Lastly, the Stache retained his world title in the 3 way battle against the returning King CJ and Baron von Blood.  Now that we got that out of the way, let’s get this show started.

The first match of the night is Outback Oscar vs Jesse California.  For the first 11 minutes, both men looked really strong but after Jesse connected with the Zig-Zag, he took over and owned the rest of the match.  Oscar, though, had a great ring presence and kept kicking out of the pin or submission attempts for the next 9 minutes.  The bell finally rang bringing this one to a draw.  Jesse was a little frustrated but both men shook hands much to the delight of the fans.  (20 min draw)

Backstage, Master Bull makes an appearance and says that Reid’s ankle was badly sprained but not broken.  Bull tells ScooterJ to enjoy life right now but Reid will be back and he’ll be bigger, stronger and faster.

Pete the PUN-isher makes his way out to the ring much to the dismay of the fans.  He grabs the mic and proceeds to explain why he attacked Magnum.

“Magnum and all you dumb people want to know why I attacked the King of the Throne (and not the royal kind).  First, when I came to the HCW, the first person I met backstage was Magnum Kone and he just dismissed me.  He didn’t even remember the slight he caused me.  Let me take you back 20 years…yes, I harbor grudges for a long time…I was a kid visiting an Ice Cream shop and guess who was behind the counter...that’s right…a much younger Magnum Kone.  In fact, he was a jerk to all the kids who came in for ice cream. He would bore people about how he and his brother were going to become professional wrestlers.  Well, one day I went in for my double scoop and they were out of my favorite flavor!  How hard is it for an ice cream shop to stock up on ice cream?  Anyway, I asked him when more was coming and he told me ‘Beat it kid, I don’t have time for your stupid questions’.  I left disappointed (and minus some ice cream) and ever since then, I’ve hated Ice Cream vendors and ESPECIALLY this guy.  Fast forward 20 years and here I am and where is he?  Back in the hospital nursing his wounds.  Magnum, 20 years ago, you picked on the wrong kid and now, today, you have to deal with THIS MAN!  Before I go, it’s time for some puns.”  The fans groan.

Magnum? More like MagNumb skull!
You’re going to cone-nect your FACE with my FIST!
I’m going to ice-creamate you!
The fans boo as Pete makes his way to the back.

Backstage, P&L members Phat Sol and ‘Red Hot’ Lucas Johnston complain that they got left out of the tag team tournament and they are now bringing the fight to the Steel Curtain.  It is only a matter of time before they become champions.

We head back to the ring for our next match.  Sarona Reiher makes her way down to the ring and she is booed.  Newcomer ‘Ravishing’ Ruby Princess makes her way out and she is dressed (and looks) exactly like Ravishing Raquel.  She appears to have copied her moves and attitude.  For about 6 minutes, Sarona held the slight edge but after that, Ruby turned up the volume and OWNED the remainder of the match (Sarona only got in 3 offensive moves the rest of the match).  Ruby nailed ‘Ruby’s Simply Ravishing’ but Sarona hit a Samoan drop.  Sarona hit a second one but then got tossed out of the ring by Ruby.  As soon as she got back in, Ruby threw her out again and Sarona said she had enough.  She ended up walking out and ended up getting counted out.  Ruby gets her first win via countout.  The fans still weren’t sure how to take her so she got a mixed reaction as she left the ring.  (13 ½ min)

Backstage, King CJ says that Baron Von Blood has drawn the ire of the Hashtag and now, he’s next.

We go back to the ring for more action.  Handsome Hernandez comes out first and he is booed pretty heavily.  Adam Jameson comes out next and gets a good pop.  Hernandez goes on the offensive right off the bat and AJ stayed with him but eventually fell behind under the onslaught from Hernandez.  However, the Handsome One couldn’t get the job done.  AJ had great ring presence and actually survived until the bell rang bringing this one to a draw.  AJ left before Hernandez could do anything else.  (20 min draw)

It is announced that Lucas Johnston gets a title shot at the Hardcore title.  Phat wonders about him and is told he gets Biceps Bannerman tonight.  Phat groans.

The 5th Column members Oswald Zimmerman and the ‘turncoat’ Wendell Hammerschmidt make their way out accompanied by their manager Ant Graham.  They are booed very heavily.  Their opponents The Ryzing Storm (Terra and Travis Ryzing) come out and are cheered only because the 5th Column is hated more.  The Ryzing Storm took the match to their opponents and about 15 min in, the Muscles Trio came out and started parading around the ring causing a distraction.  Travis caught Oswald with a running powerslam and got the pin while Ant Graham and Wendell were distracted.  The Ryzing Storm gets a rare win but Wendell took them out with chair shots.  They then chases the Muscles Trio from ringside waving the chairs.  (19 min)

World Champion the Stache says he’s continuing with his title defenses and says that he’s offering the next shot to Drew the Canadian Love Machine.  When asked why he didn’t want to defend against the Wraith, Stache says the Wraith just isn’t worthy.

We head back to the ring for more Ladies action.  The Duchess comes out first and she is booed.  She doesn’t care.  Madame Jade comes out next and gets a good pop.  The Duchess doesn’t like that so she attacks Jade before the bell.  This was another hard fought one.  Both ladies brought their A game and the fans were pretty astonished by their performance.  Jade definitely looked stronger in this one but Southern Belle coming out towards the end of the match didn’t do any favors for the Duchess.  Jade used the distraction to hit the Jade Breaker but the bell rang before she could make the pin.  Belle slid into the ring and waited for Duchess to get up.  She struggled to her feet only to get dropped by the Southern Swing.  Belle stood over her staring at her before leaving.  (20 min draw)

‘Red Hot’ Lucas Johnston says he’s ready to cash in and become the new champ.  The match type doesn’t faze him as he will be victorious.

Phat Sol and his manager the Ambassador make their way down to the ring.  They are booed pretty heavily.  Biceps Bannerman makes his way out and gets almost the biggest pop of the night.  For 8 minutes, Phat and Biceps went toe to toe.  Biceps looked to drop Phat with a powerslam but the Ambassador got involved and after eye raking Biceps, Phat hit a jaw jacker for a 2 count.  The Ambassador then kept interjecting himself in the match under the ref’s radar keeping Biceps in the defensive.  The Ambassador tripped Biceps at the ropes and Biceps just about had enough.  He started to go after the Ambassador but Phat hit another jaw jacker and he made the cover (with his feet on the ropes for leverage) and got the 1-2-3.  Phat Sol steals a win.  Biceps, pissed off, chased Phat and the Ambassador from ringside.  (13 min)

Drew, the Canadian Love Machine is backstage and heard that he was getting a title shot at the Stache.  “The World Champ the Stache has granted me a fantastic opportunity and I will make the best of it.  Win or Lose, I will give it my all.”

It’s time for the main event.  First, the challenger ‘Red Hot’ Lucas Johnston makes his way to the ring.  He, of course, is booed.  Next, the Hardcore champion the Fiend makes his way out to a big pop.  He makes it to the ring and is asked what type of match he wants.  He settles on ECW rules.  Red Hot was red hot in this one and the champ struggled to keep up with his opponent.  Lucas set up the Fiend in the corner with a chair and then hit a flying dropkick pushing the chair into the Fiend’s face.  Lucas went for a pin but somehow the champ kicked out.  After some more back and forth, Lucas bounced the Fiend’s face off the ringside barrier.  He took too long to get the Fiend back into the ring as the champ kicked out at 1.  The Fiend hit the Last Caress but only got a 2 count.  The Fiend got to his feet and picked up the steel chair.  He then walloped Lucas not once, not twice but three times.  The Fiend made the cover and got the 3 count.  The Fiend retains his title in this hard fought match.  (9 min)

Thanks for reading.  Be sure to come back for more action.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2016 #517 – Halloween Scream PPV – San Diego, CA

Hello fans.  Well, it’s finally here…our Halloween Scream PPV. We are coming to you live from San Diego, CA and the show is completely sold out.   You can still order it on PPV.  The show kicks off with pyro going off and the fans pop huge.  GM Max McGillicutty comes out to address the fans.  He welcomes them and thanks them for attending live as well as tuning in on PPV.  He is interrupted by none other than manager Ant Graham.  Graham makes a case that King CJ was not listed on the available roster as he was still showing on the DL list.  Max says he did that on purpose to hide CJ’s return. Graham says he’s going to go get lawyers (says he will use the same law firm Negronomicon used when he sued the HWF’s owner Donnie B – Black, Blackman and Whitestone (they had a merger with Whitestone LTD and Blackstone retired)).  Max agrees to make it a 3 way match…The Stache vs Baron von Blood vs King CJ.  He says Graham will be banned from ringside for this match.  Ant tries to complain but Max says it’s this or nothing for Baron.  Ant reluctantly agrees.  As Graham leaves, Max says it’s time to get this one underway.

The first match of the night is going to be the Buried Alive match.  Magnum Kone comes out first and receives a HUGE pop.  He is accompanied to the ring by his assistants Haagen and Daas and they hand out ice cream to the fans at ringside.  Magnum gets in the ring and raises his arms and the fans just go nuts.   The music changes and led to the ring by his manager MJ, it’s the “Ragin Cajun” Rad Gumbo.  The fans turn sour and boo the heck out of him.  He doesn’t seem to care.  He climbs into the ring and he and Magnum have a staredown.  Gumbo goes on the offensive early but after just a couple of minutes of shaking off the ring rust, Magnum begins the beatdown.  8 minutes in, Rad went for the bullfrog splash but Magnum caught him and nailed the Popsicle (piledriver) to a HOLY SHIT chant from the crowd.  Gumbo battled back with the Bourbon Street Blues and then Haagen got involved knocking Rad from the top turnbuckle.  Rad struggled to his feet and then (accidentally) knocked the ref out.  Rad would connect with the “Where ya at” and the Onion Lock (Muta lock).  The ref finally recovered.  After a bit of back and forth action, Magnum tossed Rad out of the ring and hit the Popsicle on the padded floor.  He went for a cover but somehow Rad kicked out at one.  Magnum then pulled up the mat and hit the Popsicle again.  He went for the cover and got the 3 count this time.  He then dragged Rad over and then climbed back into the backhoe and dumped the contents (popsicle sticks) on Rad.  The bell rang bringing this one to a close.  Magnum Kone gets the win with a burial under popsicle sticks in 19 minutes.  Magnum celebrates as he wearily makes his way up the ramp.  He stops at the top and turns to the fans but then is attacked from behind.  Hang on, it’s Pete the PUN-isher.  What the hell is he doing?  Pete beats down on Magnum and then delivers the PUN-t to the head.  Pete then dumps some partially melted ice cream on the King of Cones.  Pete stands over him to the booing from the crowd.  (19 min for the match; 6 min extra for the segment)

We cut backstage for a promo from the Hashtag himself, King CJ.

“Finally the hashtag, THE KING ....CJ has returned!!!! And believe me it was worth the wait!!!! And what is a rumble without the royalist rumbler of them all.....what a roster shake up that was ehhhhhhhh Stache ahahahahahah!!!! Its been a minute since the king has been in the ring, but as you can see he still rules the ring....and hes back for what is rightful his!!!  You see the belt was and is mine.....i didnt lose the belt...but best believe im here win it back!!! Its been months for all yoy guys to prove what your made of, but the real test...the REAL DEAL is back!!!! And play time is over.... what you think you can come down glance me a little stare and what the King is supposed to be scared....intimidated???? Hahahahha miss me with that stache...you think what because ive been out a minute...all the sudden you became the man??? What cuz you got that gold around your waist?? You think that makes you the champion??  You think because youve beat some young up and comers that makes you a great one??? What in your right mind thinks you can march down the aisle to MY squared circle, during MY return...after MY victory and stare me down...what you think we had a moment...a moment of greatness where some scrub challenges THE KING and it brings on some great build up for San Diego??? Look her little fish im the shark the apex predator of sports entertainment...so i suggest you look in the mirror play you some rap music and hype yourself for as long as you need because believe me, your stepping into the ring with a bonifide killer and im not gonna stop to i beat your and Rhinney Hiney’s asses from pillar to post from turnbuckle to mat and everyone....EVERYONE realizes the KING has returned to claim what is him and returns to greatness..... CJ OUT!!!!” (drops the mic)

Ant Graham is with Baron von Blood.  The Baron talks about how all Americans are morons and that his superior might and intelligence will rule the day.  Ant tells both King CJ and the Stache to prepare for a loss as there will be a new champion tonight.

Next match on the card is a Best of 3 falls – 60 min time limit matches – no DQ match for the Ladies Title.  Scarlett Phoenix comes out first to a good pop from the crowd.  Next, the champ Ravishing Raquel comes out and she gets an even bigger pop.  She makes her way to the ring and sees the “fan” sitting at ringside.  She looks at her questionably as it appears she is dressed almost exactly like Raquel.  She shrugs it off.

The two ladies lock up Scarlett looked really good in the ring but the champ was prepared for this match and she owned it.  Scarlett and Raquel both hit their specialty moves and both successfully kicked out of them.  After 24 minutes of astonishing action that had fans applauding at every move, Raquel gets tossed out of the ring.  While the distraction is going on, the “fan” (dressed exactly like Raquel) slides into the ring and hits the Simply Ravishing.  She then slides back out and hops the barricade and takes her seat.  Raquel makes it back into the ring and as Scarlett is trying to make it to her feet, Raquel catches Scarlett with a spinning heel kick and makes the cover to get the first pinfall.  During the next round, Raquel worked on Scarlett’s arm weakening it.  She then locked in the Ravishing Chickenwing in the middle of the ring and Scarlett had nowhere to go so she tapped out.  (10 min)  Ravishing Raquel retained her title in a well-fought 34 minute match fight.

Just as Raquel was leaving, her “fan” jumped the railing and proceeded to give Raquel a big hug. Raquel, shocked, pushed her away yelling at her “What do you think you’re doing?”  The fan replies (a live mic just happened to be nearby) “Raquel, I’m your biggest fan.  See, I modeled myself after you…I modeled my life after you.   I want to be you because you are my hero.”  Raquel, thinking she was a flake, turned and began walking away.  The “fan” became enraged and she attacked and beat Raquel down.  The suits from the back had to come out and pull her off.  Local cops escorted her out of the building.

We cut backstage for another interview.  MJ is with the World Tag Team Champions the Smashers.  MJ says he can’t figure out how the Steel Curtain pulled out one more match other than that they are cheaters.   Smasher #1 says that the Steel Curtain will be smashed.  Smasher #2 interjects that after they retain tonight, their ASCENSION to legend status will be secured.

The Steel Curtain (Buzz & Starbuck Steel) are backstage and Starbuck says that the Smashers have been a real thorn in their sides costing them matches at every turn.  Tonight, inside of a steel cage, though, that ends.  Buzz chimes in and says their time is now and they promise to walk out as the champions or they walk out of the HCW.  Starbuck looks at him with ‘deer in the headlights’ eyes but Buzz says he was kidding about the last part but they WILL walk out as the champs.  Their former 6 man tag team partner Biceps Bannerman walks over and says he’d wish them luck but they don’t need it.  He’ll just end with (turns to the camera) “WORD!”

World Tag team champs The Smashers vs Steel Curtain in a steel cage 60 min time limit.  As the cage is being set up, the Steel Curtain (Buzz and Starbuck Steel) make their way down.  They are in the ring as the cage is finished being assembled.  MJ and the World Tag Team Champs the Smashers come out but stop after GM Max McGillicutty comes out.  Max tells MJ that to ensure he does not get involved in the match, he was going to be locked in a mini cage and it will be suspended over the ring.  MJ tries to complain but Max tells him it is that or he’ll be IN the cage with both teams.  MJ chooses the mini cage.  Before he entered the cage, he discretely grabbed a few items and then got into the cage.  It was then hoisted off the floor.

It did not take long for blood to be spilt in this one.  All four men had their heads bashed against the unforgiving wall of steel.  The early on “HOLY SHIT” moment came at the 22 minute mark when Buzz Steel hit a B-52 kneedrop onto Smasher #1 from the top of the cage.  Smasher #1 got injured but his partner kept up the good fight.  We join the match at the 27th minute mark.

Buzz and Starbuck toss the Smashers out of the cage.  Starbuck then signals to the back and MJ’s cage is lowered into the ring.  MJ begins to panic.  Buzz opens the mini cage and MJ bolts out and tries to climb out of the enclosure but Starbuck stops him.  He drags him back down into the ring.  Buzz nails MJ with the BuzzCut and then hurls him into the cage busting him open.  He then lays him out setting him up for Starbuck.  Starbuck climbs to the top turnbuckle and then leaps and connects with the Shooting Star Buck.  MJ is out.  The cage begins to raise and the newly crowned champs exit.  The Smashers carefully retrieve their manager and head to the back while the Steel Curtain celebrate with the fans.

The Steel Curtain then make their way up the ramp holding their titles high until P&L (Phat Sol and ‘Red Hot’ Lucas Johnston) led by the Ambassador, attack the new champs.  P&L beat the Curtain down until refs and ‘shirts’ come from the back to break it up.  (33 min for the match; 40 for the segment)

We cut to the back where the World Champion the Stache is being interviewed by Larry Morton.  The Stache reveals he was invited to Hollywood for a part in the remake of the Magnificent 7 but his part ended up getting cut (maybe it will be in the ‘deleted scenes’?).  The Stache says he’s developed a taste for the Hollywood life and says that he’s intrigued by what they have to offer.  He says multiple offers are coming his way but his first priority is to HCW, its’s fans and while he holds it, the World title.

It’s time for our main event.  Best of 3 falls – 60 min time limit – no DQ for the World title…World Champion the Stache vs Baron Von Blood w/ Ant Graham vs King CJ.  GM Max McGillicutty comes out and says that to make this one interesting, whomever is pinned after the first fall will be out and the remaining falls will be 1:1.

This one went all over the place.  There was no allegiance to anyone here until practically 50 minutes into the match.  The Stache and King CJ had double teamed the Baron.  Stache hit the whiplash (snap suplex) but then got hurled out of the ring by King CJ and King CJ scores the first fall after connecting with a bulldog.  The Baron is now out of the contest and it is down to 1:1.  Max comes back out and says that there is lots of time left so he want this to continue until someone has won 2 falls.  (50 min)

The second fall is much shorter as time has begun to wear both men down.  The Stache is able to get the next fall after he connected with the Sh*t Kicker (dropkick) practically taking King CJ out of his shoes.   (15 min)

We have one final fall left and plenty of time left to see it through.  Max doesn’t want this ending in a draw so he declares that there must be a winner.  We pick up the final fall at the 12 minute mark.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2016 #515

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  Well, it seems that our GM Max McGillicutty has quite the conundrum tonight:  He has FOUR title matches, a TLC match AND a Texas Bull Rope match.  Geez, this is like a PPV.  How to decide who gets the main event?  He starts to lay everything out and even though it makes sense for the 6 Man Trophy match be last since it’s in a steel cage, he is going to mix things up and actually make that the FIRST match on the card tonight.  He tells the crew to go set that up now and he’ll work on the rest.

While the crew are (quickly) putting the cage together, all 3 teams participating in this match got to have their say.

Muscles Trio:  (Thorpe):  “First, I want to thank the champs for allowing us another shot at this.  Next, to the 5th Column:  Boys, the time for fun and games are over (they take off their rainbow colored bull horns).  Tonight, we get another shot at the trophy and we WILL make it count.”  The three men put their hands in over one another, mumble something and then yell “BREAK!”

5th Column:  (Baron von Blood) “You stinking American Pig Dogs…You cheat and feel it is right because you get cheered…Not tonight…We are ready to take on the mantle of greatness and you will see that the 5th Column is stronger (and more clever) than you schweinhund are.”

Steel Curtain & Biceps Bannerman (champs):  Biceps:  “We have been undefeated since winning this trophy and nothing and I mean NOTHING will stand in our way as we retain once again.  Ant Graham, we haven’t forgotten about you and in fact, there is a surprise waiting for you down at the ring.  See you there.”  Buzz and Starbuck walk off camera but come back and say “Word”.

Match 1:  6 man Tag Team Championship in a Steel cage
All 9 men get down to ringside and Graham walks over and gets in Biceps face.  “Where is this ‘surprise’ fat boy?”  Biceps looks up as a small cage is lowered.  Graham begins to freak out.  Max comes out and tells Ant that he enters that cage or the 5th Column automatically are out of this match.  Ant freaks out a moment longer before entering the small cage.  It is hoisted up and off to the side (about 7 feet off the ground).

The Muscles started off against the champs but it didn’t take long for the 5th Column to enter the fray.  The champs’ maintained control of the match until a masked wrestler came down and threw in a chain to the 5th Column.  The chain was used to knock out the champs and then used handcuffs (that were attached to the chain) to cuff the champs to the cage wall basically nullifying them for the rest of the match.   We join the match at the 11 minute mark.

Baron Von Blood (Reinhardt Schmitt) wins with a CRUSH FINGERS AGAINST CAGE AND

The 5th Column has just won the 6 man tag team trophy.  Ant Graham is let down and he slides into the ring as the cage is being raised (the ref got Biceps and the Steel Curtain freed before it went up).  Graham mocks the former champs and they make their way to the back and screams victoriously in the ring.   (14 min)

Backstage, Ivan Dragovich is preparing for his match.  He is looking pumped.

Also backstage, the former champs are in their dressing room.  Biceps starts off. “Listen guys, we had a great run as the 6 man champs but with you guys going for the tag titles, maybe it’s time I started to concentrate on singles action.”  Buzz walks over “Hey, we’re not the losers in this.  We never got pinned.  One day, when it’s time, we’ll get that trophy back.”  Starbuck comments “Biceps, we appreciate everything you did making our team a huge force to be reckoned with and we would not have held those belts for over 4 months without you.”  He extends his hand and Biceps shakes it and then shakes Buzz’s and then goes off on his own.  Buzz then says that Tag Team Gold is just around the corner.  Starbuck looks up and says “Word”.

It’s time for the next match.
Match #2:  Ivan Dragovich vs Wendell Hammerschmidt.
Just as the match began, the new 6 Man Champions the 5th Column (Oswald Zimmerman, Karl Braun & Baron von Blood) come out and stand on stage. This put Ivan a little off and Wendell capitalized on it.  Wendell managed to catch Ivan in the Red Arrow but could not capitalize on it.  About 10 minutes in, the 5th Column and Ant Graham started to walk down to the ring.  They surrounded it but Wendell and Ivan did their best to ignore them.

Ivan Dragovich was pinned by Wendell Hammerschmidt!!!

Wendell Hammerschimidt has just defeated Ivan Dragovich.  Wendell pulls something out of his back pocket and it’s...a mask!  Wendell is the masked man who interfered during the 6 Man title cage match.  HOLY COW.  Wendell stands with the 5th Column and Ant says “I told you so!” and points to his head – possibly signifying that he considers himself smart.  (14 min for the match; 17 for the segment)

Backstage, ScooterJ is asked if he thinks he can pull this off after Master Bull and Reid played their mind games on him.  ScooterJ says that he has no intention of being Reid’s servant for a month so that only leaves one thing…becoming the new TV champion.  ScooterJ looks to the camera and tells the fans to DVR this as he’s about to make history.

Match #3:  Billy Robbins vs Handsome Hernandez in a TLC match.  Billy comes out first and starts to set up tables, ladders and chairs in preparation for the match.  Handsome Hernandez comes out and complains that this match is just too violent and asks to let bygones be bygones but Billy just goes after him.  Hernandez took Billy’s momentum and smashed him through a table.  The two used the ladders for both height/daring moves as well as weapons.  The end became clear after Hernandez got smashed with the chairs (one man conchairto).  Billy set Hernandez up on a table and then climbed to the top of the ladder and as the fans got louder and louder, he jumped and hitting a moonsault and both men crashed through the table with Hernandez taking the brunt of the impact.  HOLY SHIT chants rang throughout the building.  Billy managed to get an arm draped over Hernandez.  The ref counted 1…2…3.  Billy Robbins wins this war between them.  An exhausted Billy Robbins wipes off some of Hernandez’ blood, smears it across his chest and walks to the back holding a dented steel chair over his head.  (33 min)

TV Champion ‘The Elitist’ Reid Rothchild is backstage with his manager Master Bull.  Reid says that he’s ready to put this punk in his place.  Bull tells him not to get too cocky…he’s seen ScooterJ in action and he shouldn’t be underestimated.  Reid says that the day this upstart beats him will be the day a hospital becomes his new home.

Match #4:  TV Title:  Reid Rothchild vs ScooterJ III

For the first 7 minutes of the match, Reid had control but just barely.  ScooterJ was just as ferocious as in his last few matches.  ScooterJ hurled Reid out of the ring and then delivered a piledriver on the floor.  Master Bull was able to cause enough of a distraction that allowed Reid to make it back in.

ScooterJ wins with a SUPERKICK over "The Elitist" Reid Rothchild and is the NEW TV CHAMPION!!!

After the match ended, ScooterJ went and got a chair and slid back into the ring with it.  He then put the chair around Reid’s ankle.  He then climbed to the second turnbuckle and with no hesitation, he jumped off and onto the chair seemingly breaking Reid’s ankle.  Master Bull watched on in horror.  Medics were out almost immediately and got Reid on the stretcher and took him to the back with a speechless Master Bull in tow.  ScooterJ stood with the title flaunting it and waving bye bye to Reid.   (13 min for the match; 17 for the segment)

Backstage, the Wraith says that he gets his hands on Wildfire and tonight, he puts that fire out.

Also backstage, Superstar Chic Monroe says that up next, he gets a shot at the S.H.I.T title and unlike that goofball Drew, he will win HIS championship back.

Chic Monroe makes his way to the ring and he is not well received.  The S.H.I.T. champion the Savior comes out next and the fans dislike him more than they do Chic.  Monroe owned this match right from the start.  The Savior didn’t know what hit him.  All that saved him was his ring presence and his ability to grab the rope, get a foot under it or roll out of the ring to save his hide.  Chic got almost a dozen pin attempts in but just couldn’t get that elusive 3 count.  After what seemed like an eternity fighting, Chic noticed the time limit was running out.  He threw the Savior out of the ring but the Savior was back in almost immediately and nailed Chic with a powerbomb.  He made the cover but the ref only counted to 2 before the bell rang bringing this one to a time limit draw.  The Savior barely squeaks away with his title intact.  (20 min draw)

We are treated to a prerecorded video from Texas Wildfire.

Camera is framed on a barn in the distance. The faint sound of the ringing of a cowbell is heard. As the camera dollies in, the ringing of the cowbell gets louder and louder. The camera enters the barn and all that's in the frame are bales of hay and a silver plated cowbell hanging from bullrope. The camera pans up to show a shadowy Wildfire sitting in the rafters with part of the bullrope clenched in his fist. The cowbell ringing stops. "There are certain moments in life, when you have to prove you're the bull of the woods. Wraith, this match is one of those times. They say a wraith's true form is revealed in a mirror. Well Wraith I've exposed you. I've revealed how weak and cowardly you are. I ain't no sheep Wraith. When I cinch that bullrope around yo' neck and puuuullll...you gon' learn who the bull of the woods is. When I take that cowbell and bash yo skull into a buncha tiny little pieces...you gon' learn who the bull of the woods is. When you see yo' own blood on that cowbell...you gon' learn who the bull of the woods is. They say it takes silver to kill a wraith. Well I got some special silvahhh on this cowbell just for you Wraith." Wildfire hops down out of the rafters and the camera pulls in tight on his face. "Tell ya kids to turn off the tv set, computah, mo-byle device, or whatever they're using to watch this show because it's gon' be VIOLENCE! VIOLENCE! VIOLENCE! Wildfire glares into the camera as it fades to black...

Backstage, the Wraith is pacing like a caged animal.  He is asked what the fans can expect to see in this match.  The Wraith looks at the camera.  “You think I care what the fans ‘expect’ out of this match?  The fans are sheep and cannot think for themselves.  Just like this punk Texas Wildfire.  He gets in a lucky shot because I was distracted and now he thinks he’s at MY level?  Listen up Wildfire…you got the type of match you wanted but it will be your downfall.  Once I’m done wasting my time on this nobody, Stache…I still haven’t forgotten about you…YOU’RE NEXT!”

It’s time for our next match and this one is sure to be violent.  First, Texas Wildfire comes out to a pop from the crowd.  He has the bull rope already tied to his wrist.  He gets into the ring and climbs the turnbuckle to the cheering from the fans.  The Wraith (from out of nowhere) attacks Wildfire and begins to pummel him with the cowbell attached to the bull rope.  Wildfire is already a bloody mess and the match hasn’t even started yet.  The Wraith gets the bullrope attached to his wrist and begins to go on the offensive but is met with a bionic elbow smash from TW.  Wraith chops him but TW nails a leaping DDT.  TW hits a flying body press but the Wraith got a chair up in the last second and TW crashed hard into it.  The Wraith then smashes Wildfire’s head into the exposed turnbuckle.  Wildfire tries to smack the Wraith with the cowbell but Wraith moves at the last second.  Wraith hits TW with a chair but Wildfire hits a hangman’s clothesline.  He makes it to one corner but that is as far as he got.  Wraith hits a strikeout headbutt and follows it up with a chop to the chest (WOOOOO) but TW starts to “Hulk” up.  Wraith hits another chop (WOOOOO) and TW starts to shake.  A third chop from the Wraith (WOOOOOO) and now the finger point from TW (ala Hulk Hogan). The fans pop huge.  TW then begins choking the Wraith the bullrope.  Wraith hits another chop and Wildfire plants him with the leaping DDT on the chair in the ring.  TW then drags Wraith behind him.

Texas Wildfire touches one corner...
Texas Wildfire touches two corners...
Texas Wildfire touches three corners...
Texas Wildfire touches all four corners!!!

Texas Wildfire wins with a LEAPING DDT over The Wraith!!!

A bloody Wildfire stands victorious in the ring as the ref removes the restraint.  ‘Shirts’ from the back came out and helped The Wraith to the back.  Wildfire celebrated with the fans before heading out.  (16 min)

As the crew come out to clean up the mess, the camera pans the crowd and sitting at ringside once again is that Fan of Ravishing Raquel who we saw a few shows back.  She is holding Raquel sign reads “Ravishing Raquel should always main event” and “I’m Raquel’s #1 Fan”.

It is time for our Main Event.   First, Lexy Flexx comes out and where the majority of the fans cheer for her, Raquel’s “fan” is booing at the top of her lungs.  Flexx gives her an odd look before getting into the ring.  The music changes and out comes the Ladies Champion Ravishing Raquel.  Raquel makes her way down to the ring and passes by the fan who screams “You’re #1” and “You’re the Greatest”.  Raquel looks at her briefly and then climbs into the ring.  The champ is in rare form tonight.  She immediately starts off by locking in the Ravishing Armbar which Lexy had to get to the rope to break the hold.  The fan screams “YEA”.  Raquel then locks in a Power Full Nelson and Lexy has to get to the ropes again.  Raquel then locks in the Ravishing Chickenwing and holds her in the middle of the ring.  Lexy, with no place to go, taps out in only 3 minutes.  Ravishing Raquel retains the title in a very dominating fashion.   She poses with her belt before heading to the back.  The “fan” hollers to her hero but Raquel, caught up in the arena’s support, didn’t appear to hear her and as the camera cuts back to the fan, you can see her become sad…and then angry.

With that shot, the show comes to an end.  The Roster Rumble is up next so stay tuned.
