HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2015 – 07.01


Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  The first issue of July starts off with a BANG!  GM Hulk Hogan comes out with owners Mr. Bychowski & Mr. Meyers.  The owners let the GM take the mic.  “Welcome to the HWF and CSWA brother.  The Hulkster, alongside the owners, has a major announcement to make.  The HWF will be hiring a new GM…and he will be here tonight.  Hogan pauses as “IF YOU SMELLLLLLLLLLL....What the ROCK is COOKIN.”  Hogan looks to the owners who look perplexed.  Out walks…#CJ.  The fans who were cheering did a 180 and booed the CRAP out of #CJ.  He is standing there laughing.  He has a mic.

“All of you dopes…#CJ should be the GM as I am the only one who knows what truly is best for business.  But I digress.  Once again, the #PC is NOT on the card.  Old Man Hogan…what’s the deal?  You’re keeping me down because you don’t want me showing everyone up.  Fat Man Meyers and Donnie Flabby B, you two are no better.  #CJ is the #PC and you better realize before I make your lives a living hell…”  Hogan walks over and yanks the mic from #CJ.   “Just who do you think you are, brother, coming out and interrupting us like this?  You want to see action tonight?  Guess what…curtain jerking (refers to the first match of the card) it is for you BROTHER.  Get your ASS out of here and get yourself ready.  You’ve got a HUGE challenge ahead of yourself.”  #CJ looks worried and then heads to the back. 

“Now that that fool is dealt with, The Hulkster wants to introduce you to the NEW GM for the HWF.”  New music hits and out comes an unfamiliar face.  He gets a decent reaction.  “Fans of the HWF, my name is Max McGillicutty.  I’ve been hired to replace Master Bull as GM for the HWF.  I can guarantee you, like my predecessor, I won’t take bull crap from anyone and I will make sure that what transpires under my watch will be what is best for business.”  He gets a small reaction; mostly positive.  He shakes hands with the owners and Hulk Hogan and they all leave the stage.

The first match of the card is #CJ taking on a mystery opponent.  #CJ is pacing in the ring until out comes…Roman Reigns.  Reigns, the X-Division champion, comes out but his title is not on the line tonight much to the dismay of #CJ.  5 minutes into the match, the Hardcore Champion Magnum Kone comes out to hand out ice cream to the kids at ringside.  #CJ takes offense and yells at him.  Reigns then nails #CJ with the Moment of Silence and scores the win.  #CJ yelled at Magnum as he sulked to the back.  (6 min)

GM Max McGillicutty comes out and says that he has hired a brand new team who will be debuting tonight.  He introduces the team called ‘The Steel Curtain’ and they are Buzz Steel and Starbuck Steel.  They come out to a decent pop and shake hands with the fans.  Max says that the Steel Curtain has their work cut out for them in their debut match.  Out comes Konnor and Viktor – The Ascension.  They are accompanied by their manager MJ.  MJ says that the Ascension will make examples of these newbies and will work on getting their titles back.  The Ascension looked very aggressive and put on a great show but the Steel Curtain wouldn’t lay down.  At the 25 minute mark, the World Tag Team Champions the Desperados come out and that causes a distraction for Konnor and Viktor.  As they are hollering at the champs, Buzz Steel nails Viktor with the Buzzkill (an insuguri) and gets the 1-2-3.  The Steel Curtain are victorious in their first match.  The Ascension are pissed off and the Desperados walk away laughing.  (26 min)

In the back, the Band – Dirk Devon and the Axe – say they are getting their title match tonight and they will take the belts from champs.  Axe warns the Ascension to stay out of their business.

Kane makes his way down to the ring.  He calls out Sting and says he is challenging him for his spot in the lineup for the Intercontinental title held by Brock Lesnar.  The Scorpion Warrior comes out and accepts the challenge.  Kane was surprisingly taking the match to Sting and things got worse for the Scorpion Warrior when IC champion Brock Lesnar came out.  He went to sit at ringside commentary.  Part way through the match, Sting hops out of the ring and gets in Brock’s face.  As Kane distracts the ref, Lesnar blasts Sting with the F-5.  He then leaves. Sting ends up getting counted out.  Kane gets the win via CO and moves up in the rankings while Sting moves down. (10 ½ min)

Kurt Angle is being interviewed and says that in his next match, he will make the Caped Crusader bleed.  The new GM Max McGillicutty overhears this and says that he is adding a stipulation to their match and that will be First Blood rules (the first person to bleed loses).

The next match on the card is #3 in our best of 7 between the Caped Crusader and Kurt Angle.  So far, CC has not put up much of a fight.  He repels down to the ring and looks determined.  As with their other matches, Kurt owned this one.  After hitting 2 Angle Slams on CC, Kurt goes to the corner and removed the padded turnbuckle exposing the metal brackets.  Music hits and Kurt is startled to see who comes out.  It’s none other than…JEFF JARRETT!!!  Kurt questions what is going on as Jarrett is not a member of either the HWF or CSWA roster.  The Caped Crusader recovers and nails Kurt with the Wam!Bam!Pow! but Kurt recovers and charges CC.  CC trips Kurt and he bashes his head into the exposed metal brackets busting him open.  The ref rings the bell and awards this fall to the Caped Crusader. Jeff Jarrett helps the Crusader up and helps him to the back while Kurt, sporting a crimson mask, stews in the ring.  (10 min)
 
The Beautiful People (Southern Belle, Velvet Sky, Madison Rayne and Angelina Love) all meet in the interview area.  They talk about going after the Women’s title except one person will not.  They all look at Belle and say that ever since she lost the Diva’s title, she’s become a liability they no longer want to be associated with. Velvet Sky ends up firing Belle from the team.  She is no longer one of them.  Belle leaves with her head held low.

Bray Wyatt says that he and Austin Aries will meet one more time and it will be in tonight’s main event for the Undisputed Heavyweight title.  He cuts a promo. 

"They say that patience is a virtue. But in my estimation, it's a lost art. People want everything now, now, now and they want more, and more, and more of it. They don't realize that beyond their precious city walls there is another world and it's full of animals just like yours: my world. And in my world, when one of my animals is sick or hurt we don't let them fumble around in agony. We put 'em down. Hey, you want to see something really scary? Don't you worry about a thing, Abigail. I'm going to put 'em all down. I'm going to put 'em down.  Austin Aries, tonight, you become one less threat to my championship."

The next match on the card is for the Diva’s title.  The challenger Brie Bella comes out first followed by her sister the Diva’s Champion Taylor Bella.  Before the match can begin, Taylor pleads with her sister to not go through with this.  The bell rings and Taylor pokes Brie in the chest (dreaded finger of doom) and Brie lays down in the ring.  Taylor laughs as she goes for the cover.  The ref counts 1…music hits and out runs Jupiter Jane.  She rushes the ring but Taylor bails out.   She ends up chasing her to the back resulting in an unexpected count out victory for Brie.   (30 seconds)

In the back, CSWA World Champion Austin Aries says that he will make headline news tonight when he takes the Undisputed Heavyweight title from Bray…something no one has been able to do.  He says that everyone in Vegas can bet on him to lock this up as a sure thing.

We head back to the ring for the Tag Team title match between the challengers the Band (Dirk Devon and the Axe) vs the champions the Desperados (El Chango and the Stache).  No time is wasted as the Band goes on the attack right off the bat.  This was nothing short of total domination.  I’ve never seen a team do so poorly as the Band did.  The Desperados beat the holy hell out of their opponents and in 14 minutes, comes to and end after El Chango caught Dirk Devon with a shooting star press. The champs retain but they have little time to celebrate as the Ascension run down and attack all 4 men.  The band were in no shape to defend themselves so they got destroyed pretty easily.  The champs were taken out by chair shots from MJ and then dropped with the “Fall of Man”.  The Ascension pick up the titles and pose with them before dropping them amid the destruction they just caused.  MJ says the Ascension will get a rematch however they are holding off invoking their rematch clause…until they’re ready.

In the back, Big Show is being interviewed and is interrupted by Curtis Axel.  Axel says that “Axel-mania is running wild” and it should be he being interviewed.  Axel makes fun of Big Show for losing to #CJ.  Show replies with “Well, at least I didn’t’ get pinned in a title match by my FATHER’S signature wrestling move.”  Show laughs and Axel slaps him across the face.  Big Show begins to hulk up.  GM Max McGillicutty hops in and says that there will be no backstage brawling.  The two of them will meet in a ring next week.

It is time for our main event and the steel cage has finished being constructed.  Bray Wyatt and Austin Aries fight for the Undisputed Heavyweight title and only one will walk away with the belt.  Bray dominated the match.  Aries could not get any real offense started. After smashing Austin’s face in the cage, he blinded him by raking his face across the ring rope.  He then climbed the cage and just as he was about to go over the top, he turned and lept nailing a B-52 kneedrop from the top of the cage to a prone Aries on the mat.  More HOLY SHIT chants went out.  Bray manages to make the cover for the 1-2-3 and then makes his way out of the cage to win the match.  Bray Wyatt retains the Undisputed title.  After the match, Bray got on the mic and said that Brock’s time right now is being occupied by Sting so in the meantime, he wants to address someone who stuck their nose in his business last show…Big Van Vader.  Bray acknowledges that Vader is only there on a short term contract and he will deal with him soon enough.  Vader runs out and blasts Bray.  Vader hits Bray with a Vader Bomb on the exposed metal ramp and Bray is in pain.  Vader stands over him to the cheering of the fans as the show comes to an end.

HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2015 – 06.10


Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  We’ve gotten word that a lot of people (both internal and external) were vying for the vacated GM spot.  Owners Mr. Bychowski and Mr. Meyers along with input from GM Hulk Hogan will have their hands full for a bit with all the interviews they have to go through.

‘The Elitist’ Reid Rothchild (backed up by Prestige Inc. members and 6 man champions King Damian Sandow and Magnus and the NEW Women’s Champion Ravishing Raquel) cut a promo about Master Bull.  “You know, I thought that jackass was dirty.  Prestige Inc. as the 6 man tag team champions along with the NEW Women’s Champion Ravishing Raquel, should have gotten a pay raise but instead, that fool goes to Vegas to blow our money on strip clubs.  Well, you know what, he got what’s coming to him and I for one hope he rots there.”  We find out through other sources that Prestige Inc. was actually going to cover Bull’s debt (yep, those are really supportive friends until they found out Bull screwed them all over.

We head to the ring for our first match which is King Damian Sandow taking on Ethan Carter III (ECIII).  In 25 minutes, Sandow gets the win after pummeling ECIII in the corner and finally pinned him.  I guess he was still upset about the pay situation and took it out on Ethan.  (25 min)

We cut to the back in the interview area where the Band (Dirk Devon and the Axe) are saying that they will embarrass the Desperados tonight and then become top contenders for those titles and take them like they would take candy from a child.

The next match is Magnus taking on Rockstar Spud.  This match goes a little longer with Spud putting up a better fight but in the end, falls victim to a slingshot elbow drop from Magnus who got the clean pin in the middle of the ring.  (27 min).  After the match, Spud tried talking smack and Magnus hurled him over the top rope.

Back in the interview area, #CJ makes his presence known.  He says that he will deal with that “thief” Magnum Kone all in good time but he proved himself at the Bash and deserves respect; unlike the disrespect he got from the Rock  a couple of shows ago.  If Rock shows up again, he’ll deliver an ass-kicking as only the #PC can.

Kane comes out next and says that certain people are in line for title shots that they do not deserve.  One of those people is The Stache who is currently in line for a shot at the IC title held by Brock Lesnar.  Kane calls out the Stache who comes out to a pop from the crowd.  The match is pretty much even which is opposite from what we thought.  We figured Kane was going to kill the Stache but no such luck.  At the end, Kane was standing on the throat of the Stache and El Chango hits the ring and drops Kane with a superkick.  The ref rings the bell and disqualifies the Stache awarding the match to Kane.  The Desperados then hit their specialty move on Kane dropping him like a bag of potatoes.  The Stache doesn’t seem to care.  They celebrate with the fans before leaving.  (16 ½ min)

Back in the interview area, Brie Bella is standing with her sister the Diva’s Champion Taylor Bella and says she’s the #1 contender for the Diva’s title and wants to cash in next show.  Taylor was speechless. As Brie walked away, Taylor said “Hey wait a sec…what?” and followed her sister off camera.

We head back to the ring for our next match which has #CJ taking on David Otunga.  Otunga was owning this match and was almost embarrassing #CJ but after a kick to the gut and then a bulldog off the top rope, #CJ gets the win.  After the match, #CJ stomps on Otunga sending him from the ring.  As Otunga was leaving, he announces that he is officially calling it quits.  He told GM Hulk Hogan he was retiring and decided to lay down for #CJ.  #CJ begins to complain saying he beat him fair and square but Otunga says that he was only feeding into #CJ’s ego.  He laughed at him as he walked away.  #CJ kept screaming “I’m the #PC!” and no one seemed to care. (22 min).

Undisputed Heavyweight Champion Bray Wyatt cuts a quick promo.  "When Bray Wyatt makes a promise, he always keeps it. So if they're going to keep lining them up here for us then I promise we're going to keep on putting them down. All for you including you Austin Aries.  Abigail, Follow the buzzards."

Our next match is a non-title match between the Band and the Desperados (Stache was pulling double duty – singles match before and a tag match now).  The challengers, Dirk Devon and the Axe come out first.  The champs come out next and get the loudest pop of the night.  In just 8 minutes, the former champions, the Ascension come out and attack…the Band.  They cause the match to be called as a DQ and is awarded to the Band.  Dirk and the Axe brawl briefly before bailing.  The Ascension then turn and attack the Desperados but the Stache and El Chango quickly dispose of them.   Because of the DQ, the Band will get a future title match. 

GM Hulk Hogan says that Otunga did in fact announce this would be his last match. His spot in the HWF will be occupied now by Mr. Wrestling #5.

Next on the card is Robbie E taking on the third member of Prestige Inc. ‘The Elitist’ Reid Rothchild.  He was accompanied to the ring by Women’s champion Ravishing Raquel.  One thing to note is that Reid nor did Raquel acknowledge any of the fans.  Reid went right after E and was particularly aggressive.  He kicked, choked and eye gouged poor Robbie.  E was able to stay toe to toe with him until Raquel started to yell at him from outside the ring.  Reid then planted Robbie with the Snakes DDT.  He made the cover and got the 1-2-3.  He then kicked Robbie out of the ring and celebrated with Raquel in the ring.  The fans booed.  Reid then did the unthinkable…he flipped them off and left.  WOW.  What happened there?

After a brief hiatus to clean up around the ring, it is time for our main event.  Undisputed Heavyweight Champion Bray Wyatt it taking on CSWA world champion Austin Aries for the Undisputed title.  GM Hulk Hogan comes out and makes this a non DQ match. 10 minutes in, Brock Lesnar comes out and attacks Bray Wyatt dropping him with the F-5.  Aries goes to the top rope and nails a 450 splash.  He makes the cover and the ref counts 1...2…3.  Austin Aries has just defeated Bray to become the NEW UNDISPUTED HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION!  BUT WAIT…Hulk Hogan comes out and says that he’s not letting the most important title in all of wrestling be decided on what he perceives as a DQ finish so this will now be a best of 3 falls match.  Austin Aries seems put off.  He doesn’t let it dissuade him.  He immediately takes the match to Bray.  Bray battles back and scores the second pinfall in 10 minutes (his feet were on the ropes).  The third fall is hard fought.  Brock comes back out and Aries bails out of the ring.  Brock stares daggers at Aries and then hits Bray with 2 consecutive F-5’s.  He then grabs a chair and delivers a 3rd F-5 on the chair.  He leaves and tells Aries he’ll be next.  Aries tires to get back in the ring but Brock drops him with an F-5.  He kicks both men out of the ring.  Bray somehow manages to handcuff Aries to the ringpost which prevented him from getting back in the ring.  All of a sudden, someone runs in from the crowd.  It’s none other than Big Van Vader.  He immediately nails Bray with a Vader Bomb and it looks like he hurt himself doing it (the fans ridiculed him on twitter after that).  He limped away as the ref counts 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10.  He counts Bray and Aries down and out says the fall ends in a double countout.  As Brock is making his way to the back, he is attacked by Sting and the two brawl as the show comes to an end.

HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2015 – 06.09


Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  For those just joining us, Master Bull has been ousted as HWF GM and was arrested for embezzling money for his strip club habit.  With Bull out of the way, CSWA GM Hulk Hogan in charge of both federations.  Hogan comes out and says that tonight, things will change for the better, brother.  He promises a better HWF show than what “that crook Bull did (or didn’t do)”. 

The show kicks off with newcomer Mr. Wrestling #5 coming out for his match.  He is taking on Adam Rose who comes out second.  For the first 6 minutes, Adam Rose controlled the match but after MW5 hit Rose with a kneelift, the tide turned in the favor of the masked superstar.  This goes to 18 minutes and comes to an end after MW5 nails a Million $ kneelift and covers Rose for the pin. 

Back in the interview area, The Desperados talk about being on the top of the mountain and there is nowhere to go but down but they are at the peak and plan on staying here.   They are interrupted by the Band (Dirk Devon and the Axe) and they feel they should get a match against the champs.  Hulk Hogan comes over and says the Band can have a non-title match at the next show…brother.

The next match on the card is Madame Jade taking on Southern Belle.  Jade is accompanied by her tag team partner Jupiter Jane.  Jane sits at ringside and does not interfere.  This was a very close match that saw both competitors trade control of the match.  At the 12 minute mark, former Women’s champion Ravishing Raquel comes out and as Belle was being thrown to the ropes, Raquel pulls the rope down and Belle goes flying over the top rope and crashes on the floor.  Belle ends up getting counted out.  Raquel gets in the ring and Madame Jade backs off and goes to stand with her tag team partner.  Raquel takes a mic and blasts the Women’s champion Paige for ducking her for her rematch.  She says she will get a rematch and it doesn’t matter what Paige likes.  She drops the mic and walks off.

The next match is Kevin Owens taking on Ryback.  This one was way short as Ryback was actually attacked by the Shield (Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns) before the match began.  Finally the match starts and it’s all Kevin Owens.  Owens hits the Steenalizer (reverse powerbomb suplex) at the 3 minute mark and gets the win.  Owens gets on the mic and says “One down…two to go.  Henry…YOU’RE NEXT.”

GM Hulk Hogan “accidentally” sends out an email to both rosters that showed certain wrestlers were supposed to be getting pay increases but due to Master Bull’s theft, the raises were all cancelled.  Prestige Inc. members Reid Rothchild, King Damian Sandow and Magnus were all on that list as well as the Desperados (was dependent on them winning the tag titles) however we were unable to see the whole email as it was recalled almost immediately. 

Brock Lesnar heads down to the ring and says that he is finally ready.  He warns Austin Aries to stay out of HIS business.  Once he defeats Bray for the HWF and Undisputed titles, he is going after the CSWA to become a Triple Crown champion.  His speech is interrupted by Sting.  Sting tells Brock not to get ahead of himself.  He still has to defend the IC title against the Scorpion warrior.  “Don’t forget about me Brock.  And by the way, you remember that best of 7 set of matches we had that I lost…guess what…the motivation is high and you won’t be going anywhere except home empty handed.” 

Our next match on the card is the Russian Alexander Rusev taking on Big E Langston.  Big E opened a can of whoop-ass that hasn’t been seen in some time.  Langston beat the crap out of Rusev.  A few times during the match, Rusev tried to leave but GM Hulk Hogan would come out and send him back to the ring.  Finally, Big E got tired of Rusev trying to bail so he nails an over the shoulder gutbreaker and pins him in the ring.  (9 min)

In the interview area, Hardcore Champion Magnum Kone speaks about his win over #CJ.  He is interrupted by Leon Teremoto.  Leon says that champions do not rest on their laurels and if he wants to be a fighting champion, he should meet him in the ring…now.  Leon leaves and Magnum says “It looks like I have a match.”  He then heads to the ring.

Leon Teremoto vs Magnum Kone for the Hardcore title is next.  GM Hulk Hogan comes out and says this will be a best of 3 falls; 30 minute time limit.  In 11 minutes, Leon nails a powerbomb on a chair and scores the first fall.  For the second fall, Magnum knocks out Leon and he is unable to answer the 10 count.  The third fall ends up hitting the time limit and we have a draw.  Leon would have been ahead on “points” so it is very likely he’ll see a rematch in the future.

In the back, Natalya says she’s excited to finally get her Women’s title shot.  She says it’s been a long haul and nothing will stop her from fulfilling her destiny as the Champion.

We go back to the ring for our next match which is Xavier Woods and Tyson Kidd vs the Enforcers (Samoa Joe and Mark Henry).  This one barely makes it 8 minutes but came to an abrupt end when the Shield came down and attacked Henry and Joe causing the DQ.  The Enforcers fought briefly with the Shield before bailing.

It is time for our main event.  Paige vs Natalya for the Women’s title.  This one only goes 4 minutes and sees the champ in dominating control.  It only took 4 minutes for Paige to lock in the PTO and get Natalya to tap out.  As the match comes to a conclusion, Ravishing Raquel comes out mock clapping for Paige.  She says that she is due her rematch and demands it now.  Paige says ok.  Raquel heads to the ring.  This one was pretty even with both women holding their own until at the 16 minute mark, Paige fell out of the ring hurt.  Raquel was like a shark in blood-soaked waters.  She beat down Paige barely allowing her to get in any additional offense (4 moves in the following 11 minutes).  Finally, Raquel hits the “Simply Ravishing” and pins Paige in the middle of the ring.  Raquel has regained the Women’s title.  After the match, she hurled Paige out of the ring where she was attended to by medics.  Raquel stood in the ring with her arms raised holding the title as the fans booed.

HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2015 – 06.08


Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  When the last show ended, a mysterious person was invited into the dressing room of Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins.  The Shield members told us that this mystery person will be introduced during this show.  We are intrigued to see who it is.

We have gotten confirmation that Master Bull is not coming back.  Charges have officially been leveled against Bull and it is apparent that he won’t be seen ever again.  GM Hulk Hogan is in charge for the remaining shows for June.  It is expected that a new GM (or interim if they cannot locate someone to do this full time) should be announced at the first show in July.

The show begins with Madame Jade coming out to the stage with a microphone. “Ladies and Gentlemen, the woman who turned the woman’s division on its ear…Jupiter Jane.”  Jane comes out and takes the mic.  “I promised to make an impact and that I did.  I should be the champion if it weren’t for someone sticking their nose in my business.  Taylor Bella, you said you know me but guess what…I KNOW you.  One has to be able to stand on their own.  Sure, Madame Jade is my tag team partner but I proved one thing in the battle royal…I CAN stand on my own.  You and I get to meet for the Diva’s title.  Bring what you’ve got; I’ll bring what I’ve got and we’ll see where it goes from there.”  Jade and Jane then depart.

The first match of the night is AJ Styles taking on Kazarian.  AJ was beating the tar out of Kazarian until US Champion Christopher Daniels ran down and interfered causing the DQ.  AJ gets the win but this one is far from over.  (13 min)

CSWA World Champion Austin Aries comes out and challenges Bray Wyatt for the Undisputed Title.  Bray comes out and says he’ll accept the match but first, it has to be World champion vs World champion.  If Aries can defeat him (as the HWF World Champ) then he can have a match for the Undisputed Heavyweight title.  Aries accepted.

Kevin Owens says that Samoa Joe is hiding from him and says that if he has to go through each member of the Enforcers to get to Joe, he will and says he starts with issuing a challenge to Ryback. 

We go back to the ring for our next fight which so happens to be the second of 7 between Kurt Angle and the Caped Crusader.  Angle went very aggressive to start.  He nails an Angle Slam right out of the gate and almost gets the 3 count right there.  He then locked in the Angle lock and almost twisted the foot right off the Crusader.  CC has no choice but to tap out…in 2 minutes.  Angle tried to go after him but security came out and prevented any further altercation.

Taylor Bella (with her sisters the Bella Twins) cuts a promo saying that there is GOLD in her future and she realizes a lifelong dream…to become the Diva’s Champion.  And if she takes Jane out in the process…all the better.

The Enforcers come out (Ryback, Samoa Joe and Mark Henry) and they say that they are ready to throw their names into the mix for the 6 man titles.  Out comes Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins.  They say that the Shield also wants a shot at those belts again.  Ryback laughs and says that Ambrose can’t count. There are only two of them.  Rollins says “Yeah but our new partner hasn’t been formally introduced.  Hey, why don’t we do that right now?  Ladies and Gentlemen…the newest member of the Shield…was a FOUNDING member of the Shield.”  Music hits and ROMAN REIGNS makes his way out.  The crowd pops huge. The Shield (the original) are BACK together.  The Enforcers immediately attack Ambrose and Rollins but Reigns runs in and nails Samoa Joe with a spear knocking him from the ring.  Kevin Owens, who was hiding in the crowd, comes out and nails Joe with a chair and then smacks Ryback in the back with it.  Reigns then hits him with a spear eliminating him from the ring.  The Shield then hit Mark Henry with a TRIPLE POWERBOMB and he rolls out of the ring. Owens hits Ryback once more with the chair and then salutes to the Shield before leaving. The Shield stand victorious in the ring while the Enforcers try to recover from the shock.

Big E Langston comes out and calls out Alexander Rusev.  He says that Rusev cost him the North American title.  Rusev answers with “so?” and the Big E blasts him with huge lefts and rights sending him out of the ring.  GM Hulk Hogan comes out and says these two will be meeting at the next show.  He then orders them both out of the ring. 

After they left, he gets on the mic and introduces tonight’s competitors for the Diva’s title.  First, Jupiter Jane comes out and makes her way down to the ring.  She is accompanied by her tag team partner Madame Jade.  Next, Taylor Bella comes out with her sisters Nikki and Brie.  This is one fall to a finish.  During the match, the ref takes a bump and goes down.  Jane manages to lock Taylor in the Tarantula and after a minute of excruciating agony, Taylor taps out but the ref doesn’t see it.  Jane releases the hold and goes to check on the ref.  Southern Belle runs down and goes after Madame Jade and chases her to the back.  The Bella twins then jump in the ring and beat down Jupiter Jane.  Just as the ref is waking up, the twins hightail it out of there.  Taylor kicks and stomps on Jane and connects with a sunset flip.  She hooks the leg (and the tights while holding the rope for leverage) and gets the 1-2-3.  ‘Fabulous’ Taylor Bella has just won the Diva’s Championship.   Jane had rolled out of the ring and rolled back in with a chair and chased all the Bellas from the ring.  She grabbed a mic. 

“You know, I’ve proven I can handle things on my own while you, Taylor, someone who needs assistance from her sisters has proven that you cannot.  At the end of the day, we are who we are and if you continue to rely on someone else to get yourself ahead, well, you’re just gonna fail. There are battles and there are wars.  You can win the small skirmishes but at the end of the day, when the war comes to an end, there will be one victor and I can PROMISE you that her name won’t end in Bella.”  She drops the mic and then leaves to a huge pop from the crowd.
 
It is time for the main event.  First out is Bray Wyatt.  He walks to the ring with a mic in hand.  “There are several different types of men in this world. There are men who dream and never make it off their couch. There are men who dream and fail. And then there are men who dream and change the landscape of this world, people like Austin Aries. What about you, man? That's what I want to know. Aren't you tired of feeling unwanted? Aren't you tired of feeling like an outcast and being stepped upon? Well then today is your day because today is the day that Bray Wyatt decided he was going give you an opportunity. Time to put up or shut up.”  He waited in the ring for his opponent Austin Aries to come out.  Aries comes out to huge pop.  He rushes the ring and then poses.  GM Hulk Hogan comes out and makes this a lumberjack rules match.  He sends down lumberjacks to surround the ring (to prevent the competitors from running away).  Aries had his A-Team members there as well as the new World Tag Team Champions the Desperados, Ethan Carter III, Robbie E and Rockstar Spud.  The lumberjacks weren’t really needed as Aries and Wyatt kept the action in the ring.  Bray was destroying Aries….horribly.  It wasn’t until 12 minutes in, Aries hits a dropkick that sends Bray out of the ring…in front of the A-Team.  Antonio Cesaro and Adrian Neville beat down on Bray until Brock Lesnar comes out and hits Bray with the F-5.  Bray gets rolled back in.  Aries then hits a 450 splash and picks up the win.  Austin Aries is now going to get a shot at the Undisputed Heavyweight title.  Wyatt leaves on his own but Brock Lesnar stands at ringside staring at Aries.

HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2015 – 06.07 (PPV fallout)


Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  This issue deals with the fallout from the Great American Bash.  Master Bull is not here tonight.  He leaves a message on Hogan’s machine “Hogan, Bull.  I won’t be in.”  Hulk hears odd music playing in the background; almost like Master Bull is at some party.  I guess we know where his priority lie.  Hulk mumbles “Shit is hitting the fan and he’s not around.  Not good...brother.”

We cut to the stage where newcomer Madame Jade (who was one of the wrestlers who came in from the audience) has a mic in hand.  “Ladies and Gentlemen.  At the Great American Bash, one woman upset the status quo.  One woman went out and made a statement.  One woman walked away with the Diva’s title.  THAT woman is here tonight and SHE is the future of the Diva’s Division.  I present to you…Jupiter Jade.”

Jupiter Jane (our other mysterious wrestler who came in from the audience at the Bash) comes out holding the Diva’s Title.  She and Madame Jade walk down to the ring to a mixed reaction from the fans as they don’t yet know how to perceive them.  There is a ref in the ring and he is asking for Jane to relinquish the title but she refuses.  Taylor Bella runs out and goes after Jupiter but GM Hulk Hogan comes out and gets them to stop.

Hogan says that Jupiter WAS an employee before the Great American Bash so she is an active competitor BUT she is not the champion as she was not in the triple threat match.  Hogan then goes off talking about the other people who’ve been signed which includes Madam Jade, another female wrestler Summer Rae and Mr. Wrestling #5.  With these 3 women and Mr. Wrestling #5 being added to the ever expanding roster, the landscape is getting more and more competitive.  Hogan says he has plans in motion to bring in more talent but nothing has been finalized.  “But I digress...back to the Diva’s championship…he says there will be a 16 person tournament with the winner becoming the NEW Diva’s champion and that match is next.”  Hogan says that the list will be comprised of Cactus Jackie, Taylor Bella, Jupiter Jane, Southern Belle, Madame Jade, Spider Violet, Nikki Bella and Brie Bella, Ravishing Raquel, Natalya Neidhart and Alicia Fox, Sasha Banks, Summer Rae, Charlotte Flair, Gail Kim and the Women’s Champion Paige.

Once all the women made their way down, the match officially began.  This is a list of the order of elimination and by whom:

Gail Kim eliminates Charlotte after Taylor Bella, Jupiter Jane, Southern Belle and Madame Jade caused the distraction with their fighting around ringside. 
Jupiter Jane sneaks back in the ring and eliminates Gail Kim.  Taylor Bella sneaks back in and grabs Jane and they both go over the top rope and hit the floor at the same time.  This one is deemed a no contest as there is no winner.  Hogan comes back out and says that the two finalists – Jupiter Jane and Taylor Bella will have a match with the winner becoming the new Diva’s champion. The two finalists have a staredown until Madame Jade led Jupiter Jane away and the Bella twins practically had to drag their sister from the ring. 

Our next match is Layla El challenging Southern Belle for her title shot at the Women’s Championship.  Belle is trying every underhanded maneuver she can do to get the upper hand but it is not working.  Madame Jade comes out and Belle gets distracted.  Layla ends up catching her with a headscissors and pins her with it at the 24 minute mark.  Belle loses her title shot.  She is not happy and goes after Madame Jade.

Backstage we see Box Office Megastar the Rock who is here meeting with friends.  He meets up with the Desperados (El Chango and the Stache) and thanks Stache for the honorable mention and congratulates them on willing the titles.  He says that he and Mick Foley (the Rock N Sock Connection) couldn’t beat the Ascension but he is happy that finally someone did.  As he is leaving, he bumps into a very pissed off #CJ and they have a staredown before #CJ walks away.

#CJ comes out on stage and has a mic.  He says that tonight, he is bringing out a team that took the world by storm early in this century and introduces the NWO (Kevin Nash, X-Pac and Scott Hall).  They all head to the ring and the fans pop for the trio.  #CJ seems a bit put off by this.  He then proceeds to go on a rant… talking about how men like them and #CJ made this industry, the highest point of sports entertainment.  The fans begin to drown him out with their cheering of the NWO.  Now #CJ is getting pissed.  He tells them they are just like the rest of this business…old, washed up has-beens trying to steal his spot light for beer money and $2 prostitutes.  They question his attitude and he goes out to grab a chair.  Nash pulls a quad trying to get away; Hall falls down and rolls out of the ring (is he ok?)  and that leaves X-Pac all alone.  #CJ  then blasts X-Pac with the chair knocking him out.  He then drops the chair and leaves to the boos from the fans.

We cut to the back and we are in Hogan’s office where he is meeting with owners Mr. Bychowski and Mr. Meyers.  Hogan says that irregularities have surfaced in the books and a few weeks ago, he hired Gardenia Blue, a forensic accountant to sort through the data looking for suspicious activity.  Ms. Blue presents her findings which shows that GM Master Bull has been skimming box office receipts for over a year and (based on the word of a PI) was feeding his strip club habit. Ms. Blue did say that it is hard to follow the cash once it’s been converted to $1 bills.  Owners Mr. Bychowski and Mr. Meyers call Master Bull.  He answered the phone pretending that he was at the show.  When they said that they were here and Bull wasn’t, they demanded an explanation.  Bull had nothing to say.  The owners tell him what the forensic accountant found.  Again, Bull remained silent.  The owners say they’ll make Bull an offer – he pays back all the money he stole (turns out to be about $100K) and resigns as GM or charges will be filed.  Master Bull hangs up on them.  DB and JM say that they are immediately suspending Master Bull pending further investigation and put Hulk Hogan in temporary charge until a new GM for the HWF can be determined.  Mr. Meyers  comments that Mr. Bychowski has been the GM before but DB says that he’s “been there and done that.”  As the owner and now a retired in-ring competitor, he doesn’t want this level of involvement anymore.  He’s had his run and now its long islands on the beach.  He will find someone new to step in.  Gardenia Blue is hired full time to manage the books and ensure they are properly maintained.  She will answer directly to owner Mr. Bychowski.

We head back to the ring but not for a match.  Sting, the Scorpion Warrior is there with a mic.

“I am not one to come out here and make excuses.  I had Bray Wyatt beat.  It was because of the interference of Brock Lesnar that I, the Scorpion Warrior, am not standing here as the HWF Champion.  Brock, you cost me the title.  Now, you’ve just made yourself an enemy and opened a Pandora’s Box that you will regret ever messing with.”

Brock Lesnar’s music hits and he comes out but he remains on the stage.  “Are all of you THAT stupid?  Has no one been listening to what I’ve had to say?  For weeks, I’ve said that I was going after the HWF title.  I said that it didn’t matter who got in my way.  None of you listened and now you get to deal with ME.”  He walks down to the ring.  He enters and gets in Sting’s face.  “I did what anyone who was in line for a title shot would have done…secured MY chances.  You have a problem with that old man?  You see this title (he holds the IC title in Sting’s face), this belt means I’m #2 in the HWF.  THAT is unacceptable.  Brock Lesnar, the Beast Incarnate, is either the top dog or doesn’t play.  I’m here to play.  Sting, you got in my way and paid the price.  Now I’m the number one contender for the HWF title.  I will do what no one else has been able to do. I will defeat Bray Wyatt and become the HWF World Champion.  I will then snuff out anyone else who challenges me and I will take the Undisputed Heavyweight Championship and will be THE man.”

Sting:  “Wow.  You sure are full of hot air there Brock.   Thinking really highly of yourself, huh?  Tell you what…you think you’re the top contender well guess what…I’m the top contender for that there title (the IC title) and you aren’t going anywhere until you and I have settled our matter.  I can and will defeat you and once I do, I will take that title and then get the rematch against Wyatt and without you around to interfere, I will take the World title too.”  The two get in each other’s faces and the suits from the back came out to separate the two.

The next match is a title match between Prestige Inc. and Robbie E, ECIII and Rockstar Spud for the 6 Man tag team champions.  This one goes 17 minutes and sees the champs retain after Sandow nails Spud with a spinning elbow drop.

Shield members Ryback, Samoa Joe and Mark Henry come out and say that the Shield is dead and that they are changing their name to the Enforcers.  Rollins and Ambrose can keep what’s left of their pathetic team as the Enforcers will take over the world.  Ryback says that the Shield name is worthless now. 

Ryback and Henry remain in the ring as their match is up next.  Joe goes to sit at commentary.  Their opponents are 2 members of the A-Team Antonio Cesaro and Adrian Neville.  For the first 8 minutes, the A-team looked to be in control but it seems without CSWA World Champion Austin Aries out there to even the odds, there was no one to stop the constant interference from Samoa Joe.  After a 22 minute battle, Mark Henry nails Neville with a huge splash and pins him.  The Enforcers looked pretty bad-ass in this match.

We cut to the back where we see Kevin Owens walking out of the Shield’s dressing room.  You hear Seth Rollins say “Kevin, are you sure you don’t want to reconsider?”  Owens replies “I appreciate you guys having my back against Joe and his loser buddies but Kevin Owens is a one man band.  No hard feelings and I hope you both find the right man to put the Shield back together again.”  Kevin leaves.  (Cut to inside the room).  Ambrose and Rollins are talking and there is a knock on the door.  It opens (we don’t see who it is).  Rollins says “Well, as I live and breathe.  Have a seat why don’t cha.”

The show comes to an end before we get to see who that is.  Stay tuned for more action.

HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2015 – 06.06 – The Great American Bash – Day 2


A car pull up and just as that person is supposed to exit the vehicle, someone new strolls in front of the camera and heads for security.  The camera guy follows.  He walks up to the guard who questions why he is here.  “I am here because my name was mentioned. This is my ID.”  He shows it and the guard lets him in. 

Master Bull makes his way out with Hulk Hogan and they thank the fans for attending the show. They say that tonight, the matches will be dedicated to the memory of Dusty Rhodes.  Hogan asks for the timekeeper to ring the bell 10 times and asks for a moment of silence…brother.

The show starts off with Big Show making his way down to the ring.  As he enters the ring, his music stops and a voice booms through the speakers:

“Hello, My name is James Earl Jones.  (pop)  You probably know why I’m here.  I’m here to introduce the man…the myth…the legend…in his own mind that is.  (pop)  Anyway, he’s paid me a lot of money to do this so here it goes.  Ladies and Gentlemen…YOUR Hardcore Champion…#CJ.”

#CJ makes his way to the ring for his Hardcore title match against Big Show.  The camera pans the audience and there, in the front row, is actress January Jones.  #CJ approaches Ms. Jones and tries to hit on her.  She says “Not if you were the LAST (Mad) Man on Earth.”  She winks to the camera and then slaps him across the face much to the approval from the fans.  Big Show is laughing at #CJ from the ring and I think that only incites him more.  #CJ won’t get in the ring and that starts to piss off the Big Show.  Finally, after enough posturing, #CJ enters the ring and the match begins.  Almost immediately, #CJ jumps on the back of the Big Show and begins to choke him out.  This match is boot camp rules so there is no DQ.  #CJ finally begins to weaken his challenger down (or so he thinks) and as he goes for a pin, Show pops up and nails a chokeslam.  Now is when it gets good.  The two hit each other with everything they’ve got.  #CJ would hit Show with a chair and Show would hit him with a knockout punch that would send him flying out of the ring.  He just dust himself off and went back on the attack.  I don’t think this reporter has ever seen #CJ this aggressive. We won’t say he owned the Show but he sure as hell did hold his own.  This went on for almost 30 minutes.  Both men looked exhausted.  In a desperate move, #CJ locks Show in a guillotine choke.  He holds it for almost 45 seconds and just as the clock was almost out of time, Big Show TAPS OUT!  HOLY CRAP.  Big Show submitted.  #CJ wins the match and seems that he can barely stand.  He tries to pull himself up but has a hard time at it.  His music is cut off and out comes the latest winner of the money in the bank contract – the “King of Cones” Magnum Kone.  Kone says he is cashing in for his title match right now.  #CJ cannot believe it.  He just went through hell and survived and now this. 

The match begins and now we have ECW rules.  We are not sure how he pulled it off but #CJ managed to hold his own even in his exhausted state.  It must have seemed like an eternity but was only 5 minutes long.  Magnum locks in the drumstick (armbar) and used that to pin #CJ.  Magnum Kone wins the match and is now the NEW HARDCORE CHAMPION!  #CJ ends up being helped out of the ring and the fans are now happy they have a champion they can believe in.  Magnum then calls to the back and out comes some suits pushing ice cream carts.  Magnum gives all the kids at ringside an ice cream of their choice.

CSWA World Champion Austin Aries walks in and approaches GM Hulk Hogan.  He says that this show would not be complete without ‘the Man’ on the show.  Hogan agrees and welcomes him to the show.   Hogan says that Aries will be defending his title tonight.  Aries asks if he is the main event (he should be) but Hogan says that Bull won the coin toss and Bray Wyatt vs. Sting has that.  Aries shakes his head and walks off.

MW3’s music hits and he makes his way to the ring.  He says that he’s been around for a long time and after some serious thought, he decided that he would hang up his mask to let someone else take over.  MW3 says that he officially retires allowing Buff Austin to become the next Mr. Wrestling #5.  MW3 then calls down Buff Austin who makes his way down but not dressed as Mr. Wrestling. Austin says that MW3 is retired and the ‘Main Event’ did what he wanted and that was rid the HWF and CSWA of MW3 once and for all.  Mr. Wrestling #4 is in the audience (not at ringside as he couldn’t afford the seat).  He laughs and says ‘finally’ when MW3 is tricked into retiring by Buff Austin.  Austin tells MW3 to get out of his ring.  MW3 leaves to the cheering of the fans but this is not the way he wanted to go out.  Our mystery guy from earlier then makes his way out.  The fans are confused.  This guy interrupts Buff and says that even if he wanted to, he could NEVER be Mr. Wrestling 5.  “I AM the REAL Mr. Wrestling 5 and I ALONE carry that moniker.  You have NO right to even think of yourself as one of us as you are NOT and NEVER will be worthy.”  Buff says that he will take on Mr. Wrestling 5 anytime, anywhere.  5 says it will happen sooner than Buff thinks.  He walks off.  MW3 runs back down to the ring and nails Buff Austin with the MW2 kneelift.  Austin falls out of the ring holding his face and MW3 celebrates with the fans before leaving.

Our next match is ready to begin and it is a 3 way no disqualification battle for the Diva’s title between Taylor Bella, Ravishing Raquel and Southern Belle.  After all 3 women made it to the ring, almost immediately they double teamed Belle beating her down.  After Belle was taken out, Taylor’s sisters the Bella Twins came out and they all beat down on Ravishing Raquel.  All of a sudden, 2 new women whom we’ve never seen before come in from the crowd.  They take out the Bella twins leaving Taylor by herself.  Taylor tries to fight them off on her own but the numbers are too overwhelming and she succumbs.   One of the new women throw Belle back into the ring and they take off through the crowd.  Belle crawls over and covers Taylor for the 1…2…KICKOUT.  Taylor still has something left in the tank.  She battles back and hits a sitout facebuster.  She makes the cover but Raquel gets back in the ring and breaks the count.  Raquel throws Taylor out of the ring and then locks in the Simply Ravishing on Belle.  Belle manages to make it to the ropes to break the hold.  One of the mysterious women hits the ring again beats down on Raquel before hurling her out of the ring.  She turns and looks at Belle and then a light goes off.  Belle remembers who this is.  Back in April, there was a fan who was displaying a “Belle is #1” sign.  Belle walks over and gives her a hug.  We hear her say “I knew you’d make it.”  The new woman says “No thanks to you.”  She then blasts Belle with some lefts and rights and drops her with a springboard cutter.  She covers Belle (the ref couldn’t remember all who was in this match) and the ref counted 1…2…Taylor pulls her off.  “Who do you think you are interfering in my match?  I know who you are…Jane.”  ‘Jane’ then starts beating down Taylor and drops her with a cutter.  She looks back and sees Belle charging but she moves and Belle goes flying out of the ring.  ‘Jane’ then drags Taylor back into the middle of the ring and hits a powerbomb (we later are told this move is called the ‘Jupiter Landing’.  She covers Taylor and the ref counts 1…2…3.  Jane grabs the Diva’s title and quickly leaves through the crowd.  I’m not sure she can be the champion as she was never supposed to be in that match.  (25 minutes)

We head back to the interview area where the Desperados (El Chango and the Stache) are being interviewed by roving reporter Clarkus Kentus.  El Chango starts: “Our time is now.  Ascension, you’ve run ruckshot over all the teams in the HWF and CSWA.  Now, on our home turf, you are taking on the Desperados.  We’re ready for you.  Your days of false intimidation are over.  It is OUR time now.  Stache…”

The Stache is handed the mic.  “Well howdy folks. It’s been a while since I’ve been back in ol’ El Paso (pop from the crowd), and it’s damn good to be home. In my travels I have made good friends (motions to El Chango), and a foe or two, but tonight in our home town, The Stache and El Chango are going to make you proud. I have a message for our opponents the Ascension; I may be a nice guy outside the ring, but don’t get it confused, I’m like Bushwacker (#1 hardest PBR bull to ride) ready to buck these greenhorns out of our town! The Ascension better get ready for The Desperados to…as the most electrifying man in sports entertainment would say…lay the smackdown on their candy asses! Yee Haw!  Oh, and one more thing. Free Fruit Roll-Ups and Slim Jim’s for all!”   Coupons fall from the ceiling and the fans all scramble to get as many as they can. 

We head back to the ring (after a bit of maintenance was done to clean up the coupon mess) and Dean Ambrose vs Christopher Daniels will be a No DQ match for the US title.  The two immediately begin slugging it out. This, for sure, is not going to be a wrestling match as Ambrose is here to fight.  Daniels was able to tame the ferocity of Ambrose with pure skill.  For every punch and eye gouge Ambrose would inflict, it was met by takedown after takedown that would have made some ultimate fighters proud.  After about 15 minutes, it seemed Ambrose ran out of gas and Daniels took over.  Ambrose however, would not quit.  What ended up being a 26 minute on-the-edge-of-your-seat match, Daniels finally puts Ambrose away with the Angels Wings.  After the match, Daniels’ tag team partner Kazarian came out to celebrate but that was cut short by AJ Styles who ran down and chases Kaz through the crowd.

HWF World and Undisputed Heavyweight Champion Bray Wyatt is in the back cutting a promo.  He is in a dark room sitting in his rocking chair.  "You ain't got nothing in this world, man, if you ain't got power.  Without power, we would all just be tiny little mice trapped in the jungle running for our lives from tigers.  (He turns on a light.)  Power, man, power can be so addicting. You need power. You crave power, and I just so happen to think that power, it will be the downfall of all mankind as we know it, man. After all, a powerful man is to be respected but a weak man is less valuable than the dirt that stains his clothes. Power and influence, that's my game, man. As long as I'm living right here, right now with you, my people, inside of this Universe, the HWF Universe, that right there represents all the power I could ever need (he holds up the HWF World and Undisputed Heavyweight titles).

"I want y'all to do something for me real quick, man. I want you to take a look at my brothers right here (he motions to the monitor, turns it on and points to fans in the audience wearing the sheep masks). Take a long, hard look. Judge them as you will. And know that by every label that your society has, they are viewed as outcasts. Worthless, like dirt. But oh how the world works in such mysterious ways. Because tonight, at the Bash, there will be a fight and I will destroy Sting and take every bit of power he’s ever had.

"Power and influence, power and influence, power and influence; tonight, I will stand at the top of this mountain and I will change the world as it is forever. And when I do -- and I promise you, I will -- I will truly be able to say that I have the whole world in my hands."  He ends the segment cackling uncontrollably.

We go back to the ring for our next match which was just added earlier today:  Austin Aries vs Seth Rollins for the CSWA World title.  Rollins, member of the Shield, comes out first.  He is then followed out by ‘The Man’ Austin Aries.  These two have a lot to live up to and they do not disappoint.  They tore the house down with dazzling and breathtaking moves.  For 12 minutes, these two went toe to toe with neither giving an inch.  After that, though is a different story.  Aries had tossed Rollins out of the ring and laid him on the Spanish announcers table.  He climbs to the top and hits a 450 splash right on Rollins and right through that table.  HOLY SHIT chants echoed throughout the packed stadium.  Just before the ref could count them both out (neither were doing much moving), GM Hulk Hogan came out and said that there is no countout in this match and it will continue.  Aries somehow got to his feet first and dragged Rollins along with him.  They moved much slower after that.  The match went for another 10 minutes and came to an end after Aries hit a slingshot corkscrew press to get the 1-2-3.  Austin Aries retains his title.  Fellow A-Team members Antonio Cesaro and Adrian Neville came out to help him from the ring while the shirts came out to assist Rollins. (22 min)

We cut back to the interview area where the Tag Team Champions The Ascension and MJ are and they keep it short.  Konnor says “There is no way in hell that those chumps the Desperados are taking anything tonight.”  Viktor adds, “You’re right Konnor.    Stache says he wants to dedicate the match to Dusty Rhodes?  Well guess what…Rhodes…wherever he is…will be mighty disappointed.   Hahaha”  MJ then takes the mic.  “The Ascension are the greatest tag team to ever dominate the HWF and CSWA.  Former champs Donnie B and MW3…where are they now?  Out of a job…that’s where.  We destroy everyone in our path and tonight, the Desperados will follow suit.  Let’s go boys…time to head to the ring.”

We head to the ring for the next match which will be for the World Tag Team titles. The champions, the Ascension, are taking on home town boys the Desperados (El Chango and the Stache).  The champs came out first and got pelted with whatever the fans could find (not bolted down).  The challengers came out next to the loudest pop of the night.  They high-fived the fans at ringside before entering the ring.  This one went 16 minutes and, as we thought, was controlled by the champs.  The challengers kept tossing the champs out of the ring so that they could catch their breath.  The Desperados would not stay down as constant saves kept their hopes alive.  MJ interfered on multiple occasions but would always plead innocent.  Finally he got caught and was sent to the back much to the dismay of his team.  They kept on fighting though.  Towards the end of the match, Konnor and El Chango had just got done beating the snot out of each other and both made the desperate tag to their partners. Viktor charges the Stache but he kicks him in the gut and hits a tombstone piledriver.  Viktor battles back with a backbreaker but Stache powers out of it and hits the ropes and nails the Whiplash.  He makes the cover as El Chango runs over and takes out Konnor.  The ref makes the count 1…2…3.  The place EXPLODES as the Desperados become the NEW WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS!!!  Viktor and Konnor drag themselves to the back while the hometown heroes grab fans from the audience and bring them in to the ring for pictures with the champs.

As the celebration is going on in the ring, Sting is sitting by himself.  He looks at the camera and says that tonight, he is ready.  Tonight will be the night he puts an end to Bray Wyatt.  Tonight, the crow will feast on the carcass of Bray and he will be no more.  He stands up.  “The Scorpion Warrior” will end you Bray…that is a promise.”

GM Master Bull comes out and says that this match will be a no count out/no DQ match.  The time limit has also been extended to 60 minutes to let these two bring this one to a close.  There will be a champion tonight.   He heads to the back where he runs into GM Hulk Hogan.  “I have stuff to go take care of.  The rest of the show…as it is…is yours.”  Bull walks away as Hogan calls “You’re leaving before the show is even over…brother?”

It’s time for the main event.  Bray Wyatt puts the HWF World title on the line against the Scorpion Warrior Sting.  The challenger Sting comes out first to a nice pop from the crowd.  He is then followed out by the champ who gets booed.  Sting immediately goes on the offensive trying to put Bray off his game.  It mostly worked in his favor but not by much.  The champ stayed right there with him.  Sting got Bray locked in the Scorpion Death Lock right in the center of the ring and just when we thought Bray was done, he found the intestinal fortitude to drag himself to the ropes to break the hold.  Amazing.  Bray rolls out of the ring to try to recover but Sting won’t let up.  Bray catches a break when Sting, who just whipped Bray into the ringpost on the outside of the ring, charged and pounced but Bray moved and Sting smashed against the post.  After a few minutes, Sting dragged Bray into the ring and hit his running splash 3 times.   Sting goes on the outside of the ring and dumps a trash can of weapons in the ring.  Bray grabs the golf club and nails Sting in the groin and then hits Sister Abigail but he is in no shape to make the cover.    He picks up Sting and, after spreading thumbtacks in the ring, executes a suplex right on the thumbtacks.  Sting is writhing in pain.  Bray falls down in the corner.  Just as Sting makes it to his feet…music hits and out runs…BROCK LESNAR!  Brock hits the ring and nails Sting with the F-5.  He then leaves right away.  Bray stands up and begins laughing.  He takes a steel chair and then grabs Sting and connects with Sister Abigail on the chair.  Bray discards the chair and makes the cover.  The ref counts 1…2…3.   Bray Wyatt has just defeated Sting.  He is handed the title when all of a sudden, Brock comes back out and blasts Bray with lefts and rights and then drops him with an F-5.  Brock picks up the HWF World title and holds it over his head as the show comes to a close.

HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2015 – 06.05 – The Great American Bash – Day 1


The show begins with a recap of the life of Dusty Rhodes – The American Dream.  Dusty passed away at the age of 69.  We at the HWF and CSWA remember Dusty fondly and he will always symbolize “the American dream” for all of us.  The bell rings 10 times and pictures of Dusty throughout his career show on the Omegatron.  RIP Dusty.

Welcome fans to the Great American Bash.  We are here LIVE in El Paso, TX – the home (away from home) of the Desperados – El Chango and the Stache.  The Desperados will be in action tomorrow against the Ascension for the Tag Team titles.  Will luck (or skill) be in their corner or will they become “just another victim” to fall to the might of Viktor and Konnor? 

The show officially begins with GM’s Master Bull and Hulk Hogan coming on to the stage and welcoming everyone (BROTHER) to the show.  Bull states that all title matches will be one fall – winner takes all.  Hogan says that the fans deserve this added day (and man, are they straining from the rafters) as this building is so full it is about to explode.  Hulk says that it was an honor to work with Dusty Rhodes and says he will be missed.  The fans start a “Thank you Dusty” chant and it goes on for a few minutes as another montage plays on the Omegatron.  Hogan and Bull leave the stage to let the fans appreciate Dusty Rhodes one last time.

As Bull and Hogan make their way to the back, they run into everyone’s favorite jackass #CJ.  #CJ arrives and says his “special needs” need to be taken care of ask where his dressing room is.  (Editor’s note:  by the end of the show, #CJsSpecialNeeds is trending worldwide).  He lambasts Master Bull & Hogan and gives them crap about not utilizing the #HardcoreChamp the way he should be used.  Master Bull gets into #CJ’s face and gives him the option to pick a number between 1 and 6.  If he chooses correctly, he gets the main event.  If not, he will be in the spot he is writing down right now.  Bull writes a number on a piece of paper and gives it to Hogan.  #CJ picks…6 because he’s a main eventer.  Hogan shows the number and it was 1 because Bull says #CJ always thinks of himself first.  #CJ seems to be ok with being the opening match for tomorrow’s show.

We head to the ring for our first match which is a Last Man Standing rules match between Buff ‘Main Event’ Austin and MW3.  As a reminder, Austin asked GM Hogan to make this a match were the loser would be forced to retire.  Austin comes out first to booing from the fans and he is followed by MW3 who gets a good pop.  MW3 hits the ring and Buff bails.  This goes on for 2 minutes and finally Buff gets in the ring.  The two of them are fighting all over the place and hitting each other with everything but the kitchen sink.  This one ends up going the full 30 minutes and just as Buff hit the Pain Killer, the match ended in a draw.  Both men actually got huge applause from the fans.  GM Hogan came back out and said that the Bash doesn’t begin with a draw and there will be a winner.  Hogan instructs the match to continue.  MW3 was almost like a new man and he just went off on Buff.  For 11 minutes, MW3 beat the tar out of Buff.  They both ended up on the outside of the ring and MW3 connects with a floatover DDT on the concrete. He makes the cover and gets the 1-2-3.  MW3 is victorious.  He celebrated with the fans as medics came out to help Buff Austin to the back.  Fans gave him a standing ovation. (41 min)

In the back, the Nigerian Wraith said that he thought he and Sonic Blade were crew but after being eliminated in the battle royal by his ‘friend’, those thoughts went right out the window.  Sonic Blade walked over and said that the Wraith was blowing things out of proportion but Wraith wouldn’t hear of it.  He said that the two of them can fight it out and really see who the better of the two is.  Before Sonic Blade could reply, the Wraith walked off. 

We head back to the ring for our next match.  Charlotte, daughter of ‘Nature Boy’ Ric Flair is taking on Cactus Jackie.  Jackie hasn’t been around much lately (she’s been acting as a groupie while her husband Dirk ‘the Pick’ Devon rocked out on the drums standing in for local bands).  Jackie and Charlotte were in the ring jawjacking and they started to slug it out.  The bell finally rings. This one isn’t very long as Charlotte only let Jackie get in one move.  That was it.  Charlotte owned Jackie in the match and after hitting a headscissors facebuster, pinned Jackie in the middle of the ring.  Charlotte celebrated with the fans as Jackie stormed to the back. (6 min)

In one interview area, the Miz is being interviewed and he says he’s lost his Hollywood ‘cred’ all because of the Fiend. Tonight, he will take it out on the Fiend one dollar at a time.

Elsewhere in the back, the Fiend is talking to Leon Teremoto and he says that the Miz has taken things too far and tonight, not only is the Miz finished in Hollywood, tonight, the Miz will be finished in the ring.

It is time to go back to the ring for our next match.  First, Kevin Owens comes to the ring.  He is then followed out by Samoa Joe.  Joe is accompanied to the stage by his teammates Ryback and Mark Henry.  His buds remain on the stage while Joe heads to the ring.  Joe and Kevin immediately start to slug it out.  Ryback and Henry hit the ring and triple team Owens until the save comes from Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins.  The ref can’t get control of the match and is ready to call it quits until Master Bull intervenes.  Bull says that instead of a singles match, this is now a 6 man tag team match.  Mark Henry and Dean Ambrose didn’t get involved except in double or triple teaming.  Kevin and Samoa Joe did most of the dirty work.  After a brief intermission of Ryback and Seth Rollins fighting it out, Owens and Joe were back in the ring.  Kevin nails Joe with the Steenalizer (reverse powerbomb suplex) and pins Joe clean in the middle of the ring.  Ambrose, Rollins and Owens are victorious.  Owens looks to the heavens and whispers “for you Dusty”.  The winners left up the ramp while the losers complained in the ring.

Back in his dressing room, MW3 is talking to Hogan.  MW3 says that Buff, misguided, doesn’t deserve to lose his job.  “I didn’t come up with that stipulation, brother” Hogan said.  “He did and now he needs to pay the piper.” (The camera immediately pans to the right and we see, sitting there waving to the camera, Rowdy Roddy Piper).  “However, there is one way that Buff can keep his job and that is only if YOU call it quits, brother.”  MW3 says “I tell you what…I’ll give you an answer before the end of the night…brother.”  MW3 leaves the office.

Our next match is Hollywood Miz vs. the Fiend.  Miz is in the ring first strutting and then the Fiend comes out.  The Fiend then introduces his “posse” and out comes the band the Misfits.  The fans pop and that just pisses the Miz off.  The Fiend gets in the ring and out match begins.  The Fiend was thrashing the Miz all over the ring.  At one point, Miz crashes into the ref knocking him from the ring.  A new ref runs out just as the Fiend hits Miz with the 3 hits from Hell.  He makes the cover but the ref acts like he got something in his eye.  Miz pops up and this the Mizard of Oz and rolls the Fiend up hooking the tights and the ref makes a very fast 3 count awarding the match to the Miz.  The Misfits hit the ring and the Miz bails.  The Fiend and his friends celebrate in the ring as Miz backs up pissed off (even though he won the match).

MW3 finds Buff Austin getting ready to walk out and asks to speak to him.  MW3 tells Buff that he put on a hell of a show and doesn’t feel Austin should lose his job.  He asks Austin to consider something.  He likes what he sees in Buff but Buff isn’t going to get anywhere with his crap ass attitude.  MW3 proposes that Buff makes a (yet another) change. He asks Buff to become the next Mr. Wrestling.  MW3 says that Mr. Wrestling 4 (from last year) couldn’t carry his jock strap but Buff is the man who could bring prestige and honor back to the Mr. Wrestling name.  Buff accepts the challenge as MW3 presents him with a brand new mask.  MW3 then meets up with Hogan and says that tomorrow, he will announce his retirement as long as Hogan agrees to keep Buff Austin (aka Mr. Wrestling 5) around.  Hogan agrees and the two shake hands.

In an interview area, AJ Styles is talking about after putting Orton away, he is going after the US title held by Christopher Daniels or whomever is in possession of the title but he is attacked by Randy Orton.  The ‘shirts’ (crew standing around waiting to break up fights) break it up quickly before any damage can be done.

We go back to the ring for our next match Nigerian Wraith vs Sonic Blade.  Sonic comes out first and then the Wraith storms out after him not even waiting for his music to start.  The bell rings just as the Wraith hits the ring.  Their fight goes on for 20 minutes with neither giving an inch.  This match had the fans attention throughout and when someone did a crazy move, the fans would chant “that was awesome”.  Even though the Wraith was the more aggressor and rule breaker, the fans accepted him as an outstanding performer.  Right towards the end, the Wraith went to the top rope and went for a splash but Sonic moved out of the way.  He then dropped repeated elbow drops on the Wraith and finally hooked the leg to get the 1-2-3.  Sonic Blade gets the win.  After the match, he extends his hand to the Wraith but at first, the Wraith didn’t want to accept it but after urging from the fans, he finally did.  Sonic Blade raised the arm of the Nigerian Wraith and they left the ring.

A video is shown recapping the history between ‘The Original Big Daddy’ Donnie B and the Undertaker from 2010.  Undertaker was the Undisputed Heavyweight Champion and Donnie B, not a title holder, was granted a shot at that title (something never done before) and Donnie B somehow came out victorious.  The HWF and CSWA then ceased operations until, in 2011, at a special event put on by another organization, Donnie B agreed to put the title on the line against the Undertaker and again, he was victorious.  Now, in 2015, one of these two will call it quits.  Donnie B vs the Undertaker in a retirement match.  The loser cannot come back in another form/character.  This is it.  That match, in a Hell in a Cell, will be our main event of the night.

As soon as the steel cage walls were put up (the Hell in a Cell is hanging above the ring), the next match was able to begin.  AJ Styles vs Randy Orton is next.  Orton comes out first to the booing of the fans and then AJ Styles follows him out.  Orton is in the cage pacing like a tiger and AJ opts to enter the ring by going over the top.  He sits there until the bell rings and then he LAUNCHES himself down on to Orton and the match is underway.  AJ controlled the entire match until a masked wrestler from the back came out with a chain.  The masked man threw the chain to Orton to bashed AJ with it turning the tide.  A bloody AJ stumbled around the ring until Orton caught him with the RKO.  He got the 3 count and then tried to make for the door but the masked man stood there and wouldn’t let him out.  Orton was confused. AJ recovered enough to catch Orton with the Styles Clash and he got his own 3 count.  Now it is a race to see who gets out of the cage first.  The fans were on the edge of their seat for this one too.  AJ ran and jumped on the cage and began to scale it until the masked man hit the cage wall with a steel chair making him fall back in the ring.  Orton, on the other side of the ring, made it over the top and then dropped to the floor becoming the winner of this match.  (21 minutes).  The masked man got in the ring and hit AJ with the chair.  He removed his mask and it was none other than Kazarian – Christopher Daniels’ tag team partner and sometimes cronie.  He leaves the ring and drops the chair and leaves as the cage is unassembled. 

As soon as that was done and AJ was helped out of the ring, the Hell in a Cell was lowered.  Donnie B comes out to a nice pop from the fans.  The lights go dim and a blue light shines on the ramp as the Undertaker makes his way down to the ring with his eerie music and gong sounding in the background.  This is it for one of these two.  Not one fan left during this main event.  Everyone was glued to their seats awaiting the outcome.  These two did not disappoint (the whole flippin’ card was pretty damn good) and slugged it out using the structure to their advantages. At one point, the two made it out of the structure and climbed to the top.   Donnie B slammed Undertaker hard on the top of the cage and UT locked Donnie B in a triangle choke but there was no ref (he had gotten knocked out) up there to see if he tapped.  They both make it back in the ring where Undertaker locks DB in the triangle choke once again but the ref is still out.  DB breaks the hold by hitting Undertaker with a chair.  Donnie B hits the Lights Out Brainbuster.  The ref is starting to recover.  DB pulls the ref over but by the time he makes the cover, Undertaker sits up.  DB’s eyes go all wide.  Undertaker hits a couple of chokeslams but DB catapults him into the cage busting him open.  Both are wearing crimson masks now.  DB calls for the lights out Brainbuster one last time but Taker reverses it and hits the Last Ride.  He makes the cover…1…2…3.  Undertaker has won the match and Donnie B must now retire. (15 min).  After the match, the cage is raised and Undertaker and Donnie B shake hands in a show of mutual respect.  Donnie B leaves to the cheering of the fans while Undertaker remains behind basking in his win.

In the back, Donnie B gets a standing ovation from all the wrestlers and is met by the Desperados (El Chango and the Stache) and then part owner Jeff Meyers who shakes DB’s hand.  He is then greeted by GM Hulk Hogan and Master Bull who congratulate DB on a fantastic career.  Undertaker finally makes it to the back and he and Donnie B shake hands.


With that, the show comes to an end.  Stay tuned for Day 2 coming tomorrow.
