HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2013 03.09 – We’re almost there:

Welcome back to our world of professional wrestling.  Wrestlemania is just around the corner and we know it will be a blast.  Just to give you an update, the Wrestlemania (weekend) newsletter will be in 3 parts.  The first will cover the fan fest; the second will cover the details of Day 1 and the third will cover the final day of the PPV.  We are happy to say that Wrestlemania, being held in sunny San Diego, CA, is completely sold out.  The influx of revenue we got from the fan fest pre-sell tickets (also sold out) helps to ensure that this years’ Wrestlemania will (hopefully) be the best ever.  We are also proud to announce that Jim Ross and Jesse Ventura have agreed to lead the announce team for the online broadcast. 
 

We have also decided that, after careful deliberation, to go with the name “Apocalypse” as the PPV name that will replace Wrestlemania starting next year.  Congratulations go to “Ravishing Raquel” for the winning submission.  She will have a ringside seat at Wrestlemania as well as an all access pass to the Fan Fest.  To some degree, we still like Negronomicon’s suggestion about giving the finger to “the man” but we surely do not want to risk any (more) lawsuits.

 

Wrapping up things in the back were Master Bull and theWayner (making another rare appearance).  They were discussing the HWF portion of the card.  Wayner seems to think they they will have the show stealer and look forward to keeping the Undisputed title under the HWF banner.  RVD may be the current Undisputed champion but he has be lax in just getting in the ring.  Just for the heck of it, they decided that Rob needed to get in the ring and dust off some ring rust.  They didn’t want to chance him getting hurt but didn’t want to give him a walk in the woods so they chose Dolph Ziggler as his opponent.  Dolph’s championship caliber matches have gone the time limit so they made this one a no time limit fight.  They want to see if Dolph is ready for the “big time”.

Dolph did not seem ready for this fight as RVD owned him for 12 minutes.  In the end, Rob gets the win after hitting a 5 star frog splash.  After the match, Dolph got on the mic and told Master Bull that he was not mentally prepared and pleaded for another shot to show what he can do.  Master Bull thought it over and allowed for a second match to take place.  This time, Dolph was ready and RVD was not.  In less than 30 seconds, Dolph locked in a sleeperhold and put the undisputed champ to sleep.  Dolph got the submission win.  On his way to the back, the two of them shook hands as Master Bull congratulated him on his win.  Dolph said to watch for him in the World title scene because now, he is ready.

 

The fanfest and Wrestlemania will be next week so be sure to come back for what is shaping up to be a great event.  Stay tuned.

HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2013 03.08

Hello fans.  Welcome back.  Well, we have received other names for the name of the PPV that will replace Wrestlemania (there is still time to submit your suggestions) but the frontrunners are Apocalypse and (unfortunately) what Negronomicon said (give the finger to the “man” and just keep the name).  As much as we’d love to do what he thinks, we just have an issue admitting he may actually be right. 

 

Wrestlemania is just around the corner and we are stoked.  In fact, Master Bull was having a secret meeting (closed door and soundproofed – we checked) and after he emerged, he was seen shaking hands with someone – maybe a new prospect?  I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

 

Things are heating back up between Jimberg and Joe Jobber.  This time, Joe took to the internet and just blasted the lil’ bossman.  If there wasn’t a scaffold match coming up, it very well could have been grounds for a slander/defamation suit.  I’m sure Jimberg has had enough of the King of the Jobbers and looks forward to really putting him in his place (or the hospital will work too).

 

The Donnie B/Reid Rothchild feud has continued but this time, Donnie B invited the trouble on his own.   DB purposely parked in Reid’s spot and even waited for him.  Reid saw DB waiting and kept driving.  Donnie B followed him to where he parked and started brawling with RR.  Reid got back in his car and began to take off.  Donnie B was pounding on the car so Reid flipped a U and then hit Donnie B with his car.  DB went down, hurt but not seriously.  Reid then drove to his spot and used his car to push Donnie B’s out of his spot.  He parked and then proceeded to push the car (I guess he’s pretty strong) right into a ditch. 

 

Inside the building, Reid began gloating about what he did.  He then claimed he was going to challenge Cena right here and now for the Western States Title.  Master Bull came over and said that DB was tearing up the place looking for him so for the sake of his own skin, Reid was being sent home.  Reid left without further incident.

 

We had a couple of 6 man battles take place.  One of the matches featured 3MB and the other was the Shield.  In the first battle, 3MB took on BJ Whitmer, Crimson and Jay Lethal.  In a 29 minute fight, 3MB emerged victorious after McIntyre took out Crimson and the others just couldn’t make the save.

 

The next one had the Shield taking on Chris Jericho, Dolph Ziggler and Ken Anderson.  The team led by Jericho could not get on the same page.  Each man wanted to be the team lead and tried to hog the glory for themselves.  Their stupidity was their undoing as the Shield made quick work and Anderson got pinned. Neither Jericho or Dolph wanted to come in for the save. 

 

After the match, Jericho was attacked by Antonio Cesaro and they brawled to the back.  Dolph took off on his own.  The Shield (Reigns and Rollins) got out of the ring to let Ambrose continue the beatdown on Anderson.  Mr. Meyers made an appearance and said that since neither Anderson or Ambrose were scheduled to wrestle at WM, they would be added to the card.

 

CM Punk came out and cut a promo on Christian saying how he was going to beat the champ; defeat the CSWA champ and then go on to take the Undisputed title from RVD.  Christian came out and they had some words and a bit of brawling but separated before things got too heated.

HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2013 03.07

Hello fans.  Please make sure you go to our site hwfcswafantasy.blogspot.com to post your thoughts for a new PPV name and read those that others have submitted.

Well, we got one so far from a reader who calls herself “Ravishing Racquel” and she submitted the name “Apocalypse”.  Our very own Negronomicon told us that we should just “give the finger to the man” and keep Wrestlemania.  Not quite sure we can do that so we moved on.

In an attempt to move himself up the rankings, Negronomincon challenged Brad Maddox.  Maddox, since showing up, hasn’t won a match yet.  In 18 minutes, N eliminated the competition and got himself another win.

Mike “the Axe” Medley also did the same and challenged Brodus Clay.  In 19 minutes, Medley gets the win and also moves up in the rankings.

MW3, who has not had the best streak going attempted to add another win to his record by taking on Epico Colon.  MW3, who was not looking his best, barely got a win over Epico.  MW3 may seriously have to go back to the drawing board and try something new.

In an effort to also move himself up the rankings, “the Elitist” Reid Rothchild challenged Media Champion Cactus Jack for his spot at the Western States title.  This is only for ranking positioning.  Reid was getting his butt handed to him since Donnie B was commenting at ringside and Reid kept getting distracted.  The win finally came Reid’s way when from the crowd came the Mighty Casey and after Reid tossed Cactus from the ring, Casey repeatedly nailed Cactus with the barbwire bat (called Barby) and then DDT’d him on the floor.  He rolled under the ring before the ref could see him.  Cactus gets counted out and Reid not only moves up in the rankings but gets that all important win on his record.

Donnie B also wrestled and took on Zack Ryder.  This was a short match as Zack got counted out after only 2 minutes.  This allowed Reid to hit the ring and attack Donnie B.  Jeff Meyers came out and basically said that these two were forbidden from touching each other until the PPV.  Reid didn’t like being told what to do so he called for Medley to come down.  The Axe made his way down and Reid had Mike pummel Donnie B a little more until MW3 hit the ring and cleared The Axe from the ring while Reid bailed out.  He immediately ran to the back leaving Medley behind.  This allowed for Donnie B and MW3 to double team Medley until he wised up and also bailed.

In looking at the rankings, Jimberg is undefeated with 1 win, 0 loses.  Jimberg has stated that after he rids wrestling of Joe Jobber once and for all, he would probably retire from the ring. His mind wasn’t totally made up but I think that if Jobber escapes the scaffold intact, this feud will continue.

Superstar Billy Pearl took on the Super Warrior.  11 minutes later after a devastating Super Powerbomb, SW walks out with the win.

As we get closer to the event, I expect more singles matches to take place so that those with the best records (non champions) will get invited to the invitational battle royal.  This one will be HWF and at the next PPV will be CSWA’s.  Stay tuned.

HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2013 03.06

Welcome back fans as we continue on our path to the Greatest show in the world – Wrestlemania.  A small piece of information has come this writers’ way.  It turns out that Donnie B was contacted by the WWE (fantasy world) and they have requested we no longer use the name Wrestlemania for our event.  Based on the relationship we’ve had with them in the past (is this Hunters’ doing?), this came as a pretty big shock to us. We did reach an agreement that will allow us to call our next event Wrestlemania but going forward, we needed to choose a new name.  Bunch of jerks J.  Oh well.  In order to make sure we were “in compliance” with the other PPV names, we submitted the list of names we’ve chosen.  They of course were concerned over the (previous WCW) names such as Starcade, Clash of the Champions and the Great American Bash but because the “E” is not currently using them, we would be allowed to use these terms but of course had to pay for the use of copywrited names.  It is a small price to pay but since it is an unexpected cost, we had to figure out something that would allow us to cover those fees.

Donnie B, Jeff “the Hawk” and Master Bull (filling in for the always missing Wayner) all got together and tossed around ideas such as a “One Night Only” show to a fan gathering at all PPV’s where they could meet and greet their favorite wrestlers.  The “fan fest” was the accepted method and shortly thereafter, Meyers and Bull made a joint announcement that starting with Wrestlemania© WWE – only time I’ll do that), we would have our fan fest the day before each PPV.  As soon as the announcement was made, tickets went on sale and within 2 hours, were completely sold out.  We could not believe it.  I think we have a winner on our hands.  Now, all we have to do is get the wrestlers to play nice with the fans and we should be ok.

The owner and 2 GM’s thought it might be a good idea to let you, the fans and readers of our newsletter, to submit names (really, we want input) to what we would be calling our future PPV.  We will compile the list and then convene to determine the best name.  If we choose a name provided by a fan, that fan will have a ringside seat at Wrestlemania (provided we get feedback before the April event). Hi and welcome back.  In this (lengthy) issue, there are more matches that have been added to the card.  Those include:

Another day comes and it is accompanied by more drama from our resident drama queen named “The Elitist” Reid Rothchild. This time, Reid went out and found himself a parking space.  He proceeded to put up “Spot reserved for the Elitist” signs and even put up ropes to protect “his space”.  He claims he paid for it but was not able to produce a receipt.  Of course, Donnie B saw this and called bullshit.  He moved all the barriers out of the way and proceeded to park there. 

This of course led to Reid crying and whining to Master Bull.  Master Bull told him to head to the ring and air his grievances there.  He went down to the ring and called out Donnie B.  DB came out with mic in hand and promo at the ready.

“Listen up sh*thead, you come out here crying about a spot.  Not a spot on your shirt, not a liver spot or even your dog Spot but a parking spot.  I can’t believe you get your panties in a bunch over something so stupid.  I tell you what…our match at Wrestlemania; lets add your “spot”  as a grand prize – no I don’t mean your dog Spot.  No more whining, or complaining.  I win, its mine.  You win, I back off and never park there again.  Does that sound acceptable and did I use small enough words for you to comprehend?”  Reid had a mic of his own.  “Yeah, I accept you douchbag.  I will make you wish you never messed with me in the first place.  Oh, Miiiiiike.”  Medley then attacked Donnie B and began to pummel him.  This brought out MW3 and he chased “the Axe” off. 

Master Bull then came out and made a match between Donnie B and MW3 against Rothchild and Medley.  This was a pretty short match that ended the way we would have expected except that Reid and Mike were dominating their challengers.  At the 8 minute mark, Reid hits a Rothchild Stunner and DB falls out of the ring.  At the same time, MW3 hits a superkick on Medley and he falls out of the ring.  Donnie B was able to make it back in before the 10 count but the Axe did not.  DB and MW3 win the match by countout.  Rothchild ended up taking off without his partner.  This led to a brief doubleteam on the Axe until he was able to escape on his own.  He looked around for his tag partner and he was nowhere to be found.

Drama also continued around the Cactus Jack/Mighty Casey/barbwire bat storyline.  Cactus has been looking for his bat everywhere even falling into a similar pattern that a former ECW’er did when he lost his best friend (Moppy the mop – yes, a floor mop).   Cactus has been calling out for “Barby” and it seems pretty desperate and sad all at the same time.  While going through some boxes in the back, Casey attacks Jack with the bat beating him down with it.  Cactus almost manages to get it back but Casey manages control and chases Jack off.

Mike The Axe was in the back looking for his partner when he found him (of course) standing in front of a mirror talking to himself.  “You know, when you think about all those before me such as Ravishing Rick Rude, the Narcissist Lex Luger, the Model Rick Martel, none of them can hold a candle to me.  Hell, I’m even better than the Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiasi, IRS, Hunter Hearst Helmsley and Alberto del Rio.  I AM the Elitist and everyone is beneath me.”  At that point, he phone rang.  He looked at his phone and smiled as he answered it.  “You know, I was just thinking about you…yeah, I know…later because I have some stuff to take care of.”  With that he hung up the phone and just as he turned around, he literally ran into Alberto Del Rio.  “I heard you talking about me.  You think you are better than me?  Why don’t we take it to ringside and find out?”  Del Rio walked off and Reid was nervous.  He yelled for The Axe and as soon as he showed up (he took his darn time), they went to ringside.

An impromptu match took place between Del Rio and Reid Rothchild.  Before the match could take place, Reid threw in a stipulation that he wanted Del Rio’s spot for the World title picture.  Del Rio almost fell over with laughter.  “No.  But how about an ass kicking instead?”  Del Rio then began to beat Rothchild from pillar to post.  Reid got in a couple of cheap shots but was being overwhelmed.  Reid tossed Alberto to the ropes and Medley pulled the top rope down and Alberto went crashing to the floor.  As Reid distracted the ref, Axe tossed ADR back into the ring. Medley began to walk away.  Reid was beside himself and started yelling at Mike.  He was so distracted that ADR rolled him up and got the pin.  Reid then turned around and delivered a Rothchild Stunner to ADR and left him laying in the ring.

RVD was in the back making a rare appearance when he was confronted by Abyss.  Abyss said he needed to loosen up and suggested RVD join him for a match.  RVD scoffed at him and as he started to walk away, Abyss attacked him and dragged him to the ring.  Abyss dominated the first few minutes but eventually RVD battled back and with the help of a chair, connected with a Van Daminator and followed it up with the 5 Star Frog Splash.  He was able to get the pin and celebrated in the ring but the mood quickly turned somber as both regional World Champions Christian and the Rock made their way down to ringside.  There was a staredown and some jaw-jacking going on but really didn’t amount to much.  RVD walked away and Christian and the Rock both had mics and we assume they will be discussing their opponents at Wrestlemania.  Christian began.

“Well, it looks like Wrestlemania will be the greatest show on earth.  I will be defending my title against CM Punk.  Do you know what CM stands for?  Punk seems to see himself as a ‘chick magnet’ and while I find that absolutely hilarious, I’m pretty sure he is serious about it.  Punk, the only thing you’ll be a magnet for will be another loss on your record when I walk out as the World Champion.”

Rocky’s turn: “The Rock,  here, now, and forever, will be the People’s Champion (not to be confused with Christian as the Peep’s champ).  The Rock gets to take on Brock Lesnar.  Lesnar, an overblown, inflated egomaniac who thinks he can walk the Rock’s path, stand toe to toe with the Rock and (gasp) think he can take the Rock’s belt?  Well you are wrong.  The Rock will walk out the champion and no offense Christian, but the Rock will defeat you too and go on to defeat RVD and become the Undisputed Heavyweight Champion.  This is the Rock’s lot in life.”  Christian got into the Rock’s face and had some words with him before the two ended up separating.

Mr Meyers was talking in the back with the World Tag Team Champions Negronomicon and Superstar Billy Pearl.  SBP and N were polishing the belts as Mr Meyers informed them that if they lose the belts at Wrestlemania, he would have to let them both go.  Both were besides themselves.  N started off on a rant “What do you mean ‘let us go’?  We are the f’n World tag team champions.  We are better than you, than that GM loser who never shows up for work or his lackey – what’s his name…Master Bullshit?”  Both got a good laugh out of that.  Almost on cue, Master Bull walked in and let them know that in no uncertain terms that he is backing Mr Meyers 100% and he will be sure that he is the one that will make sure the door hits them in the asses on their way out.  He walked off and let his words sink in.  SBP then said “Well, I guess we’d better be ready.”  N agreed.

Nigel McGuinness says he’s stoked that he only has to face the Stupid Warrior one more time.  He will be sure to embarrass him and send him away with his tail tucked between his legs.  Master Bull came up to him and said that he had better honor his word because if he does not, he will be out of a job.  Nigel looked surprised but said that he will fulfill his destiny…defeat the Stupid Warrior and then eventually become the X-Division champ.  He says you can take that to the bank.

Master Bull and Mr Meyers were having a brainstorming session.  They had decided that they do not want wrestlers who will show up “every once in a while”.  They need to have dedicated full timers.  They collectively made the decision that if the following wrestlers did not win their respective matches (not including those who’s jobs are on the line), that they would end up modifying their existing contracts. That list includes Hulk Hogan, Booker T, Jerry Lawler, Cactus Jack and William Regal.  They would not necessarily be let go but would be set up with a “Legends” contract and would then only be used where it was felt they could provide the greatest ROI.  This was a reason all of these guys were participating in Wrestlemania. 

The list of guys whose jobs are on the line include the Negronomicon, Superstar Billy Pearl, Nigel McGuinness,  

I guess we’ll see what transpires.  Stay tuned.

HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2013 03.04

Hello and welcome back.  As discussed in the last issue, we have a pretty substantial card set up.  The plan will be to host the event over two consecutive days to avoid having an event that will run 6+ hours.  Mark Henry made an appearance and was wondering why he wasn’t going to be at the biggest show of the year – Wrestlemania.  He started to insult the roster when from the back came Rey Mysterio.  Mysterio said that if Henry wanted a fight, he could have one…unfortunately, it would not be with him.  He was injured at the hands of 3MB.  He had a suggestion for the World’s Strongest Man.  Mysterio introduced the Olympic Champion Kurt Angle.  Angle too was very pissed that he wasn’t wrestling at the PPV as champion so he agreed to the match.

Super Warrior also did not have an opponent yet.  He of course wanted another shot at his former partner Nigel McGuinness.  Nigel accepted with the stipulation that if he were to win, he would want nothing to do with the Super Warrior ever again.  It was agreed upon that this would be their final confrontation.

GM Wayne Tuttle made a rare appearance and met with his asst GM Master Bull.  MB explained he had everything under control.  He had more paperwork that he had Mr. Tuttle sign off on and of course, the Wayner didn’t read it. 

After Mr. Tuttle left, Master Bull met up with Mr. Meyers.  They had some more discussions and both ended the meeting with a shaking of the hands.

Negronomicon and Superstar Billy Pearl were told that they needed to defend their titles against someone prior to the PPV.  Neither man were happy about that.  Since they had to choose someone, they chose the USO’s.  It went about 20 minutes and even though the challengers were killing the champs, N and SBP were able to retain the belts after Jimmy Uso got counted out. 

Christopher Daniels and Kazarian opted to take on the World’s Greatest Tag Team comprised of Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas. 

Austin Aries came down flaunting his championship.  At this point, he opted to get another title defense under his belt.  He called out Mike Bennett and told him if he wanted a title match, he would have to take it now.  After a 15 minute battle, Aries walks out with his championship intact.

The ongoing saga between Reid Rothchild and Donnie B continued.  This time it was away from the squared circle.  Donnie B was standing in line outside a nightclub when Reid (followed by that lost puppy dog Mike the Axe) decided to move himself to the front of the line.  A few people complained until Reid verbally bashed them.  Donnie B though, would not stand by and let this jerk get his way.  Both men got into a shoving match until Reid blindsided DB (he hit him with one of those metal poles that are used (with straps) to control lines.  Donnie B went down and Reid and Axe took off.  Mike did stop to look back but Reid yelled at him to follow.

GM Jeff Meyers, after receiving a call from the nightclub about the behavior that transpired, decided to make RR and DB’s match a Chicago Street Fight.  Basically, anything goes. 

And an event is not complete without having Joe Jobber badmouth Jimberg.  This time, Joe was questioning Jimberg’s manhood.  This of course prompted the lil’ bossman to come out and start brawling the the king of the Jobbers.  GM Meyers came out and said that these two are out of control.  He told Jimberg that he understood his frustration and said that this can end – if Jimberg wants it to.  He said yes.  Meyers than said that their match would take place old-school – on a scaffold.  Jobber looked terrified.  Joe hit Jimberg with a low blow.  The ref ended up shoving Joe out of the ring.  Jimberg was helped to his feet and as the ref helped him up, his pyro went off showering the ring with sparks and confetti. 

I think “our” road to Wrestlemania is really shaping up.  Within the next couple of weeks, we hope to have interviews from some of the key players and will post those here.  More to follow.

HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2013 03.03

We are back with even more so without further ado:

Brock Lesnar, Chris Jericho and the Undertaker all want shots at the Rock’s Heavyweight title.  All three will be forced to wrestle each other in Best of 3 falls matches.  The one who has the most wins will go on to face Rocky at Wrestlemania.

Big E Langston (the North American champ) challenged Cody Rhodes but Super Warrior came out and said that he wanted the title shot.  Big E said that the two of them could duke it out and the winner will get a shot at Wrestlemania.

MW3 challenged Dean Ambrose for his spot.  Dean Ambrose retained in 12 minutes.  MW3, not one to give up so easily immediately challenged Zack Ryder.  Ryder retained his spot after a 15 minute battle.  MW3 decided to give it one more shot.  He challenged Ted Dibiasi jr.   After a 24 minute battle, Ted gets counted out.  MW3 is back in the title hunt.  MW3 immediately challenged Mike “the Axe” Medley for his title shot (for the Western States title) to take place at Wrestlemania.  Medley agreed.

Chris Jericho and Brock had their best of 3 falls.  In a falls count anywhere match, Jericho scored the first pin and Brock scored the second.  The 3^rd fall would be a Lights out match and Jericho walked out with a 2-1 score.

Next, Brock and Undertaker had theirs (took place the following night).  This also would be a Falls Count anywhere match.  Brock took the first fall and Undertaker scored the second.  Master Bull came out and made this one a Buried Alive match.  Brock dominated the match and ended up locking Undertaker in the casket to get the 3^rd fall.  Brock’s score is now 3 wins and 3 loses.

The following night, Jericho and Undertaker had their best of series.  Undertaker got the first pin as well as the second.  This put his record as tied with Lesnar.  Jericho is 2-3.  Jericho needs to get the last fall.  He achieves it after burying the Undertaker in the casket.  All 3 have the same record.

HHH came out and said that he needs to be in on this too.  HHH picked Jericho as his opponent and Brock would go against Undertaker again. These would all be falls count anywhere rules.  Jericho advanced over HHH.  Brock Lesnar advanced over ‘Taker after hitting him in the face with a frying pan.  Brock then made short work of the former Undisputed Champion after pinning him with the f-5.  Brock goes on to meet the Rock for the World title.

In other news, you may remember that “the Elitist” Reid Rothchild stole John Cena’s belt.  Well, that didn’t sit well with Mike “the Axe”.  Axe took the title when the Elitist was too busy admiring himself in a mirror and returned the title to Cena.  Cena said that after Wrestlemania, he would offer Medley a shot.  Medley was thankful.

Rothchild finally tore himself away from the mirror to discover his (stolen) title was gone.  Medley came back in whistling to himself.  Rothchild went on a tear and verbally assaulted Medley. 

Cody Rhodes and the Super Warrior had their battle. After 3 minutes, SW got counted out.  Cody Rhodes goes on to meet Big E for the North American title.

Kurt Angle took on James Storm in a rematch for the Intercontinental Title.  After 4 minutes, Angle gets Storm to tap out to the Ankle lock.  Angle wins….hang on.  Out comes Master Bull.  He says that he didn’t authorize this match today.  He questions Angle as to who he thinks he is.  This is the “Master Bull Show” and what he says goes.  He said that previous match is stricken from the records.  Now, under his new rules, Storm will defend against Angle but in a Texas Death match.  Angle once again controlled the match and was able to secure the pin after hitting Storm with the ringside bell (GONG!).  Again, out came Master Bull and said that Angle used a foreign object (even though anything goes in this match) and disqualified Angle.  He then announced that Hulk Hogan would take on the Cowboy James Storm at Wrestlemania.

In late breaking news, it was announced that with the growing card for Wrestlemania, the matches will be broken out over 2 days.  Both days are expected to be full of action.

Negronomicon and SBP vs. the Hardys for the World tag team titles (jobs are on the line for N and SBP).

CM Punk challenged Christian for the World title.  Christian accepted.

The Miz challenged Daniel Bryan for his title.  Bryan accepted.

Big E. Langston vs Cody Rhodes for the North American title.

Cactus Jack vs The Mighty Casey with both the Media title and the barbwire bat on the line.

MW3 vs. Mike “the Axe” Medley for his Western States title shot.

HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2013 03.02

Hello fans, we have news coming out our ears so let’s get right to it.

In their 1^st match of their best of 7, Sting took on Hulk Hogan.  Hogan proved that he still has it.  It took 6 minutes and a leg drop for Hogan to score the first fall.  Since this was such a short match, Master Bull called for another.  The next fall went 17 minutes and ended up with Hogan getting the 2^nd win.  Master Bull came out and said “what the heck…lets go for 3”.  This time though, it would be in the confines of a steel cage.  Another pathetically short match and Hogan gets the 3^rd win. Hogan is up by 3.  Master Bull comes out and says that since Sting hasn’t done shit, this is it.  Hogan gets to move on.  He is interrupted by Kurt Angle.  Angle says that Storm robbed him of the title.  He asked for another shot at Storm.  Master Bull said no.  Angle asked what would be better TV…Hogan vs Angle for the title or a pathetic show with Storm laying down for the Hulkster?  Master Bull thought about it for a minute and said that at the next show, Angle would get a rematch against Storm in a match of Storm’s choosing.  Whomever wins that match will go up against Hulk Hogan at Wrestlemania.

The Rock came out and said that Master Bull (who is full of his own Bull) was making him wrestle tonight so he picked Dolph Ziggler as his opponent.  The Rock was totally unprepared for this match as Ziggler stood toe to toe with the Great One.  No matter what the Rock did, he could not get a pin.  Dolph managed to make it 30 minutes and the match was declared a draw.  Ziggler’s performance will definitely put him back in the title picture.

The World tag team champs Kane and Big show came out next to defend the titles against the Negronomicon and Billy Pearl.  This one was totally weird.  It went 14 minutes with the challengers dominating the champs.  What the HELL is going on here?  Kane and Show are not on the same page.  In fact, I think they both want out.  At the 14 minute mark, Pearl tosses Kane from the ring and Big Show tosses out Negronomicon. The ref made the count and neither man made it back in.  Both were counted out.  Master Bull was out really quick and said they were restarting the match. This time, no Countout.  If Kane and Show lose, they will be split up as a team and will not be allowed to team together again.  This time, the champs were on the same page and killed N and SBP.  It was bad.  N said that SBP was hogging the action and N said SBP wasn’t holding his own.  A shoving match began.  Big Show and Kane just stood there and watched and joked.  N and SBP saw this and then attacked the tag team champions.  This brought out Master Bull again and he booked another match.  This time though, it would take place within the confines of a steel cage.  The new stipulation would be that if Negronomicon and Superstar Billy Pearl win, they get the titles and will be forced to defend them against Show and Kane in a rematch at Wrestlemania.  If they lose, they will both be fired. 

Big Show begins by standing on N’s throat.  Kane comes in and catapults N into the cage.  Kane receives a thrust kick after that.  Show is back in and clotheslines N between the ropes and the cage.  It is not looking good.   N somehow connects with a flying elbow drop and lands on Show’s throat.  Show is hurt.  N then pulls out a pair of brass knuckles and pummels Big Show with them.  SBP traps Kane in the ropes.  Negronomicon goes for the pin and gets the 1-2-3.  They immediately get out of the ring and are declared the NEW WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS!  Insane.  The former champs will get a rematch at Wrestlemania.

This causes some issues between the Hardys and Dudleys.  They were supposed to fight to determine who would get a title shot at the champs at Wrestlemania.  They brought it to Master Bull and he said he would put in a mini tournament of 4 teams – Dudley Boys, Hardys,  Big Show and Kane and Reigns and Rollins.

 Big Show and Kane barely beat the team of Reigns and Rollins.  The Shield will continue to be contenders.  The Hardys defeated the Dudleys.

The Hardys went on to defeat the former tag team champs and will go against Negronomicon and SBP at Wrestlemania.

HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2013 03.01

Hello wrestling fans.  Welcome back to our 1^st newsletter for the month of March.  We immediately start off with Cactus Jack in the ring calling out the Mighty Casey.  He said that Casey had hit bat and he wants it back.  Casey showed up on the big screen to taunt Foley. “Aww, Cactus, did you lose something?  Well, guess what knucklehead, it’s mine now.  You think you can just disrespect me and think you’ll get away with it?  Try again.  It took me to stooping this low in order to get your attention.  Now that I have it and something that belongs to you, you’ll finally give me the respect I deserve.  You’ll get the bat back when I think you deserve it which will be, umm, never.  The Mighty Casey has the bat and if you get in my way, I’ll knock your head for a home run.”  As the screen went blank, Cactus went to storm out of the ring until Samoa Joe came down.  Joe had a mic in hand.  “Listen Cactus, our last match didn’t exactly blow the roof off the place but I’m here now to ask for a non-title match.  If I win, I want to be your Wrestlemania opponent.”  Mr Meyers came out but didn’t speak.  He motioned for Joe to head to the ring and for Cactus to get back in the ring.  Since Cactus is in line for the Western States title and Joe is in line for the media title, Jack’s spot would be on the line.

A very distraught Cactus took out his frustrations on the poor Samoa.  Cactus literally beat the holy hell out of Joe for a very lengthy 17 minute battle. In the end, Joe ends up getting pinned after being put down with the Mandible Claw.  Jack hollered for Casey but his cries fell on deaf ears.  Cactus retains his spot.

Mike “the Axe” Medley came out and challenged Rhyno for his spot.  Rhyno came out and said he wanted to make this more interesting.  He said he’d put his spot on the line if Medley would put his career on the line.  Mike didn’t think that was fair so he countered with Rhyno putting his career on the line. It was Rhyno’s turn to feel put out so he called for a specialty match – a brass knuckles battle.  If Medley wins, he not only gets Rhyno’s spot but will put Rhyno out.  He reluctantly agreed.  Rhyno was the first to bleed after getting nailed in the temple. After another 10 minutes of beating the heck out of each other (and were perfectly even in points) Medley nailed Rhyno in the groin incapacitating him.  After not being able to make any headway, he nailed Rhyno in the groin again.  He picked him up and nailed the Man-Beast in the face with the brass knucks.  Rhyno dropped like a wet burlap sack.  Medley made the cover and got the 1-2-3.  Medley moves up and Rhyno is out.

As we saw last month, Rey Mysterio tried to get back in the title hunt only to fall victim to 3MB and the devastating Jinder Mahal.  We did confirm that Rey was hurt and will out of action for some time. We don’t know if Rey will be back before Wrestlemania. 

Speaking of Mahal, he came down demanding his title shot at Christian.  After trying his best to stifle his laughter, Mahal attacked him.  It only took 10 short minutes to finish off his challenger and retain his title.  The rest of 3MB came down but Christian got out of there without incident.

Randy Orton called down John Cena stating he wanted his spot.  Cena came down.  It was a hard fought 19 minute battle but Cena was able to retain his spot.

Before Cena could leave, “The Elitist” Reid Rothchild came down demanding his title match.  A very weary Cena accepted.  Reid has never had his ass kicked this bad in his entire life as he did in this match.  Cena totally owned him.  Rothchild had his own special ref for this match but even with the ref refusing to make counts, Reid had no advantage.  He finally motioned for “the Axe” to come down.  Medley came down and then Reid tossed Cena from the ring.  Medley then planted Cena awkwardly on the steel steps.  It was a very nasty shot and I’m surprised he wasn’t severely injured.  Cena did not make it back in before the 10 count so Reid wins the match by countout but NOT the title.  Reid was not happy about it but the ref just said “what are you going to do?”  Reid took the belt, threw it over his shoulder and left the ring with it (he left Medley behind).

Master Bull made an appearance and called for some matches.  First match would be Daniel Bryan vs Ezekiel Jackson.  Jackson kept up with the champ and ended up taking him to a 30 minute draw.  Jackson will most likely be considered for a future title shot.

Big E Langston was up next defending his title against Sin Cara. The champ controlled the majority of the match but had trouble putting Cara away.  It took 22 minutes but he was finally able to accomplish it.

Kurt Angle came out next and said his challenger was none other than the Cowboy James Storm.  This was a very short match at 6 minutes but in the upset of the night, James Storm defeats Kurt Angle to become the NEW IC champion.  Kurt Angle was totally shocked.

                               

A very pissed off Kurt Angle calls out the Great Khali and challenges him for his spot. Angle took out all his frustrations on Khali and in 5 minutes, gets the pin.  Angle is back in the title hunt.

HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2013 02.09 –  PPV fallout

Hello fans.  Well, there was a bit of fallout but not as much as we had planned.  We have received some information that we wanted to pass along.  Following the Warzone PPV, it was decided by both Jeff Meyers and Master Bull (Wayne Tuttle was not available – again) that PPV’s would be pushed out by a month starting with Wrestlemania in April.  Wrestlemania will be a 2 day show.  This will allow more matches to take place and not necessarily have a performer have to wrestle more than 2x in a single night.  This move will allow there to be a PPV in December and will give feuds a starting point at the beginning of each year. 

HWF’s own roving reporter had an interview with Master Bull.  Here is how it went:

Larry: “Master Bull.   Thank you for taking time out of your day for this interview.”

MB: “Of course Larry.  My time is valuable but I can make time for this.”

L: “You and CSWA GM Jeff Meyers had a conversation.  Do you care to comment on it?”

MB: “Yes, GM Meyers and I have discussed the possibility of my being involved in both brands.  Mr. Tuttle has temporarily nixed that but negotiations are being worked on.”

L: “We received feedback from one of our readers asking why you cancelled two matches at the PPV.”

MB: “First of all, there were two battle royals that were inserted into the PPV and since those were more time consuming, I made that choice.  Also, I am running the show so if I choose to cancel a match, it is my discretion to do what I feel like doing.  Third, all the performers did approach me. Angle won a tournament and when I told him he didn’t have to wrestle again, he was relieved and walked away.  HHH and Jericho will happen at the next show.  Daniel Bryan was the only person who really had an issue.  When I told him that he got paid for participating in the battle royal, his tune changed and he walked away.  So you see, most of the wrestlers didn’t have an issue with it after all.”

L: “But some of the fans feel cheated.”

MB: “I make the rules.  I enforce the rules.  It’s that simple.  With that said, I need to run.”

L: “Master Bull, thank you for your time.”

MB: “You are welcome.”

Additional information that we’ve received is that going forward, all tag team matches will have 60 minute time limits to hopefully avoid more time-limit draws.  

Also, it was determined that at every PPV, there will be an invitational battle royal with the winner getting a title shot of his choice.  The winner must “cash in” within 2 months or they lose their shot.  HWF will have one and then CSWA will be the following month..

“The Elitist” Reid Rothchild came out to challenge Yoshi Tatsu for his shot for the Western States Heritage title.  Tatsu wasn’t going to give up his opportunity so easily so he asked for this to be a specialty match.  Reid was not happy about this as he felt he shouldn’t be damaging his good looks.  Finally he relented.  It took a full 30 minutes but Reid got the win after a Rock Bottom.  This was an Indian Strap match and Tatsu was not in good shape at the end of the match.  After the bell rang, Rothchild continued his beating on Tatsu until Donnie B came down and chased Reid from the ring. 

Cactus Jack and the Mighty Casey were set down and tried to figure out what was going on between these two.  Cactus blew off the interview stating that the Media Champion didn’t have time for this.  He left abruptly before anything could start but he left his barbwire bat behind.  Casey helped himself to it.

Super Warrior issued a challenge to Nigel McGuinness for his title shot.  Nigel accepted but only if it was

There were a few matches that took place. 

RVD defends his title against Tommy Dreamer.  RVD picked up the win after a 25 minute fight was ended with a  5 Star Frog Splash.

-          Christian defends his title against Roderick Strong.  Christian retained after Strong was counted out of the ring.

-          John Cena defended his Western States title against Santino.  It only took 16 minutes and an F-U later for Cena to remain the champ.

-          Daniel Bryan retained his title against Kofi after Kingston submitted to the powerful MMA strikes.

-          Super Warrior challenged Nigel McGuinness for his spot.  The stipulation was that this would take place using Boot Camp rules.  SW got the cheap, quick win after ambushing Nigel and got the (cheating) rollup.

-          Nigel McGuinness immediately challenged Chavo Guerrero for his spot.  After 3 minutes and a severe beating, Chavo gets counted out.  Nigel takes that spot.

-          MW3 challenged Magnus for his spot.  Magnus retained after Mike “The Axe” Medley interfered causing a distraction and Magnus capitalized on it.

-          Mike “the Axe” Medley challenged Kazarian for his spot.  Kaz retained after MW3 held down the Axe’s foot when he was getting pinned.

-          Big E. Langston put his title on the line for the first time against Matt Morgan.  After 10 minutes, Langston retained the title. 

-          Negronomicon and Billy Pearl vs the USO’s one last time.  This time, there would be no time limit. This time, it only took 4 minutes and Negronomicon and Billy Pearl finally get a win. The USO’s move down in the rankings.

-          Reigns and Rollins challenged the Prime Time Players for their shot.  The Shield robs the Prime Time Players of their title match.

-          The Prime Time players immediately challenged Rothchild and Medley.   Medley controlled a good portion of the match and Reid kept tagging himself in trying to hog the glory.  Reid delivered a ReidBottom and then Medley tagged himself in and nailed a devastating uppercut to Titus.  He made the cover and got the win for his team.  Reid was not happy but Axe was grinning from ear to ear.

-          Rey Mysterio challenged Jinder mahal for his spot but Mahal wasn’t going to give up lightly.  He called for and was granted a gauntlet match.  Mysterio would have to go through all members of  3MB in order to get the spot.  First up was Drew McIntyre.  First down was McIntyre.  It all ended fairly quick with the 6-1-9.  Slater was up next and promptly fell victim to a hurricanranna. Mahal was sweating.  Before the bell could ring, all 3 attacked Mysterio and when Mahal called for the bell, he immediately pinned Rey retaining his spot.  Rey looks to be injured.  We’ll need to keep an eye on his situation.

-          Both Sting and Hogan were arguing who would be next for Angle’s title.  Kurt came in and made a suggestion – how about a best of 7?  Sting was receptive of the idea but Hogan was leery.  As soon as Sting questioned Hogan’s ability to wrestle anymore, the Hulkster jumped on the bandwagon.

HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2013 02.08 – Warzone: Battlefield of Pain PPV

Hello fans and welcome to our first PPV of the year “Warzone: Battlefield of Pain”.  The card promises to be exciting.  First things first, out comes assistant GM Master Bull.  He gets on the mic “Thank you for coming.  Thank you for giving me, I mean us, your hard earned money.  We put on the evening’s entertainment and you pay us for it.  Gotta love it.  Now, onto the card for tonight.  I have to say that our HWF matches seem a little light so I am announcing two additional matches – just for the heck of it.”  He announces HHH vs Chris Jericho and Abyss vs. the Great Khali. 

Before the match could begin, there was an interview with the Super Warrior.  He met up with Larry Morton and then when questioned about his opponent, SW had this to say:  “Daniel Bryan.  Your time has come “GOATFACE”  . I am going to THOROUGHLY enjoy grabbing you (Morton looked at him weird) by that ridiculous beard and REPEATEDLY clubbing you (Morton is taken aback) in the face.  You are in DIRE need of facial reconfiguration and this Warrior is going to do you and the world a favor by doing just that.  At that time,  I will give you good reason for you to scream your catchphrase “No, No, No”.  Your strap will be mine as I take another step up that fabled mountain on my quest to IMMORTALITY!”

Daniel Bryan wasn’t as full of hot air as his opponent but all he said when asked if the Super Warrior would walk out with the X-Division title, the answer was “No, No, NO!”

Our first match of the night will be Daniel Bryan defending the X-division title against the Super Warrior.  Bryan starts off the match with a flying headbutt.  He followed it up with a double knee strike and SW locked in a cobra clutch.  Bryan gets out easily. Bryan then hits a Regal Suplex but SW nails a Super Powerbomb but only gets a 1 count.  SW then hits the Wayner Stomp and follows it up with a one armed chokeslam.  Bryan hits the Regal suplex and SW hits the chokeslam again.  Daniel stops SW in his tracks after hitting a European uppercut.   Bryan hit an underhook suplex and SW executed a power punch.  SW goes for a  second power punch but Bryan reverses it and nails a diving headbutt.  He goes for the pin but only gets a 2 count.  Bryan hits a regal suplex, goes for the pin again but SW kicks out at 1.  Bryan then locks in the Lebelle lock (or the NO Lock or Yes Lock – whatever you want to call it) but instead of going for a submission, he goes for a pin but SW kicks right out.  He’s up right away and tosses Bryan from the ring.  He goes out and bodyslams Bryan on the exposed concrete floor and then rolls back in the ring just as the 10 count is reached.  SW wins the match but not the title.

Our second match of the night has Cactus Jack defending the Media title streaming live on YouTube against MW3. Prior to the match beginning, Jeff Meyers had announced that this would be a specialty match – he just didn’t identify which.  After both men got to the ring, it was announced it would be a Thumbtack deathmatch.  MW3 was taken aback by this. MW3 started off with a reverse neckbreaker but that was reversed and nailed a double arm DDT on a chair.  He went for a pin but MW3 kicked out at 2.  Jack then goes for a thumbtack splash but MW3 reversed it and connected with a neckbreaker.  A bodyslam from Jack was followed up by a MW3 superkick.  Jack then bodyslams MW3 on the thumbtacks, goes for the pin but only gets a 2 count.  MW3 delivers another superkick but then Jack piledrives him on thumbtacks.  He goes for the pin but MW3 kicks out.  Jack nails another DDT which only results in a two count.  Jack clotheslines MW3 over the top rope but he lands on the apron.  Jack then slingshots him back into the ring, goes for a pin but for only a 1 count.  MW3 tosses Cactus out of the ring for a breather.  As soon as Jack is back in, MW3 nails the MW3 driver but doesn’t have enough gas in the tank to make a cover.  Cactus slaps on the Mandible Claw and tries for a pin but is unsuccessful.  He locks in the claw again this time going for a  submission but MW3 won’t tap.  Mike “the Axe” Medley comes down to ringside and hids along the ring so the ref doesn’t see him.  Jack goes for a pin (with Medley holding down MW3’s leg) and MW3 is not able to get up in time.  Jack retains the title. 

The Mighty Casey was on the way to the ring for his match against Dean Ambrose and Jack just shoved him out of the way.  Casey went to get in his face and Jack hit him with his barbwire bat.  This drew blood.  Agents came out to check on him and decided to postpone the match till later.

Donnie B vs Hernandez is the 3^rd match on the card.  This was the shortest match so far.  Hernandez whipped Donnie B into the turnbuckle and DB hit a flying dropkick that sent Hernandez out of the ring.  He landed awkwardly on the steps and did not make it back in before the 10 count.  Donnie B gets Hernandez’ spot.

This is followed up by Austin Aries defending his newly won US title against Mike “the Axe” Medley.  MW# came down almost immediately.  Axe is tossed out and he goes to argue with MW3.  He almost gets counted out.  Aries nails a german suplex.  Medley nails a shoulder tackle.  Aries battles back with a pendulum elbow smash.  Medley hits a knee to the gut and follows it up with a shoulder smash.  Aries locks in a front face lock, Medley picks him up and deposits him over the top rope.  Aries is back in at 4. Aries nails two sets of hard kicks and the Axe is looking a bit blunted.  Medley hits a backbreaker but there isn’t much behind it.  Aries connects with a Slingshot Corkscrew press and rolls up Medley for the 1-2-3.  Aries retains his title.  MW3 leaves ringside somewhat satisfied. 

The match for the HWF World title was up next with the champ RVD taking on the IC champ the Rock.  Before the match could start, Master Bull came out and expressed his unhappiness that the IC title was not being defended here.  He gave the Rock an ultimatum:  Either the Rock could put his IC title on the line here or he would be required to defend it later on.  He just opted to defend it here.  Now, with both belts on the line and no wrestler would be allowed to hold 2 singles titles, the IC title would be vacated after this match.

The Rock started with a  people’s foot to gut and followed it up with (the abomination of a move) 2 People’s elbows.  RVD then tossed him out of the ring but he was back in by 6.  RVD hit some dropkicks and Rock hit a DDT.  Rock hits another DDT and a people’s foot stomp to the gut and then meets the outside.  He’s back in at 8.  Rock seems to be dominating this match.  Rock goes for the Rock Bottom but it is reversed and RVD hits a VanTerminator.  Rock goes to Lay the Smack Down but is tossed out of the ring again.  Rock hits a People’s elbow, goes for a pin but does not get far. Rock hits a Belly to belly suplex, RVD hits a VanDaminator and goes for a pin but barely a 1 count follows.  RVD hits a spinning back kick and out of nowhere, Rock hits a Rock Bottom.  A 1-2-3 follow and the Rock is the NEW HWF WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION.

A quick battle royal is held with the other 8 members of the IC title lineup to determine who wins the IC title.  In what ended up being very shocking, Kurt Angle Angle Slam’s Mark Henry out of the ring to become the new Intercontinental Champion.  Since he won this match, has stripped of the North American Championship and Master Bull called for another battle royal to determine the new NA champion.  In the end, after eliminating Abyss (who by the way was a total monster in this), the new North American Champion is Big E. Langston.

HHH vs. Chris Jericho that was scheduled next was cancelled due to the last 2 battle royals.  This match wasn’t needed.  Neither man was happy that they laced up for nothing.

Christian vs. Rey Mysterio for the CSWA title was up.  This was a pretty hard fought battle that showed why Mysterio would be a great world champion but this just wasn’t his night.  After being tossed out of the ring 4 times by Mysterio, on the final time, Christian just got fed up and walked out of the ring.  He got counted out which awarded the match, but not the title, to Mysterio.

Negronomicon and SBP vs the USO’s.  This match went a full 45 minutes and declared a draw.  Neither team changes in the rankings.

Big Show and Kane vs the Hardys for the tag team titles was next.  This match wasn’t as long but did see the champions retain their belts after Jeff Hardy got counted out.  Matt was unable to make the save as Kane had him tied up in the ropes.  It is interesting to note that the challengers were dominating the champs.

Next we had our Champion vs Champion match to see who would go on to meet RVD for the Undisputed Heavyweight Championship.  Both men held their own but it was apparent that since he got more rest, the Rock had greater control over the match.  Rock hit many rock bottoms and Christian just kept kicking out.  Finally, Rock hits the rock bottom for a 2 count and immediately followed up with the People’s elbow.  The Peeps Champ just couldn’t get up after that so the Rock goes on at the end to meet RVD once again.  This time, the Undisputed title will be on the line.

This prompted Master Bull to come out.  He claimed that the Undisputed title (held by his guy) was just too important to be defending in any old match.  It was determined that this would be a specialty match that will be unveiled towards the end of the show.

Clarkus Kentus was in the back and said that he an announcement of his own.  Since both Big E and Daniel Bryan hold singles titles, they will be removed from the tag team picture.  This prompted the Hardy’s being added back into the picture – but at the bottom.  They’d have to work their way back up.

John Cena vs. The Elitist Reid Rothchild was up next.  Reid was in a very salty mood as when he pulled up to the arena expecting to part in the premium (or Elite) parking spot, he saw that Donnie B had already parked there.  He’d been seething all evening.   Because he was in a foul mood, he demanded that his Elite referee “Slow Count” Sam ref this match.  Unfortunately, it didn’t help him one iota. Cena immediately hits a stomp to gut and Reid hits a Reid-a-rooni (spin-a-rooni).  Reid is tossed out of the ring and takes his time getting back in.  He tries for the Rothchild Stunner but Cena hits the 5 knuckle shuffle for a 2 count.  Cena does the “You can’t see me” and Reid counters with his own Reidbottom (rock bottom).  Cena hits a knuckle jam and Reid hits the Hogan legdrop.  Cena is tossed out of the ring and soon as he gets back in, he is treated to a Reid-a-rooni.  Reid hits 2 consecutive Reid splashes (Stinger Splash) but it doesn’t help him.  Cena tries to rap with the crowd and Reid locks in the Figure 4 Reidlock (leglock).  Cena is out of it easily.  Reid catches Cena with a ReidDT (DDT) and goes for the pin but only gets a 1 count.  Donnie B comes down to distract Rothchild.  Reid is screaming at Donnie B and turns around into an F-U.  Cena goes for the pin and 3 seconds later, he is still the champ.

Kurt Angle vs Daniel Bryan was also cancelled from the card.

The Mighty Casey vs Dean Ambrose was up next.  This one was another long one but it seems that giving the Mighty Casey a contract was a good thing.  He and Ambrose put on one heck of a show.  At one point, Cactus Jack came out trying to distract Casey.  Casey ended up turning him away after hitting the Media Champ in the head with his own barbwire baseball bat.  Casey returned to the ring where he and Ambrose finished entertaining the crowd.  Casey got the win after an eye gouge and a roll up (with a little tight pulling).  Casey moves up in the rankings.

Abyss vs Great Khali – Great Khali gets the quick win after Abyss is counted out.  Khali retains his spot in the IC rankings.

The final match of the night is RVD vs the Rock for the Undisputed Heavyweight Championship.  In the back, Master Bull and Jeff Meyers are having a discussion about what the specialty match would be.  Finally they agreed upon one.  They decided that the final match of the night would take place within the confines of a steel cage.  Before the match would begin though, Mr. Meyers told Master Bull that he “liked the cut of his jib”.  He wanted to give Master Bull an opportunity to also run the CSWA to see how well he would do.  Mr. Meyers said that he would give Master Bull until Wrestlemania to show him what he could do.  If he liked what he saw, he would allow Master Bull more and more liberties.  Mr. Tuttle walked in and was asking what was going on.  Mr Tuttle said that Master Bull was his asst.  Master Bull asked Mr Tuttle to sign some papers (that he’s always too busy to read) so he did and then left.  Master Bull seemed pleased with himself.  Mr. Meyers said that based on what just happened, he’d hold off until after Wrestlemania and then would tie off with him again.  Master Bull thought it would be a good idea.

Both men are in the ring and the cage has finished lowering.  They both lock up but no one could get a leg up.  Finally, Rock took to the cage and rubbed RVD’s face in the cage blinding him.  Rock went for the People’s elbow but RVD rolled out of the way.  Rock connected with a  belly to belly suplex.  Rock lays the smack down and then RVD rubs his face in the cage blinding him.  RVD goes to the top rope and hits a 5 star frog splash but doesn’t go for the pin.  RVD goes for a split legged moonsault, Rock reverses it, tries for a DDT but RVD shrugs it off.  RVD then connects with the VanTerminator but again, does not go for the pin.  A spinning heel kick from RVD takes the Rock off his feet.  RVD nails some dropkicks but Rock hits the People’s elbow.  RVD hits another moonsault and Rock turns it into a Rock Bottom.  He goes for the pin but RVD kicks out at 1.  Rob hits another VanTerminator but Rock goes to the cage again and chokes Rob between the cage and the ropes.  He goes for another pin but Rob kicks out. Rock lays the smack down and gets a VanDaminator for his efforts.  RVD goes for another VanDaminator but Rock shrugs it off and goes to the ropes and connects with a  wicked Rock Bottom for another 2 count.  Rock kicks RVD with the peoples foot to the gut.  Rob hits a spinning heel kick and this time goes for a pin. Rock kicks out at 2.  Rock tries for another DDT but Rob pushes him off.  Rob hits some hamstring chops and Rock goes back to the cage to hit a shoulder smash into the cage.  He goes for the pin but RVD kicks out at 1.  Rob gets caught in the sharpshooter but won’t tap.   Rock hits another DDT on the champ.  Rob nails some hamstring kicks and Rock goes down.  Rob tries for pin but barely gets the 1.  Rock hits another DDT.   The champ hits a VanTerminator; Rock hits the Rock Bottom but is too exhausted to go for the pin. Rock locks in the sharpshooter again but Rob still won’t tap.  Rock lays the smack down but Rob nails the 5 star.  Rock is tossed into the cage.  Rock picks up the champ and hits a running powerslam into the cage.  Rob tries to rub Rock’s face into the cage but Rock stops it and kicks the champ in the gut.  This time, Rob blinds the Rock after grinding the challengers face into the cage.  Rob kicks the hamstrings of Rock again and he just collapses.  Rob grabs the tights and rolls the Rock up for the 1-2-3.  He then tries for the door and makes it out with no issues.  RVD retains the Undisputed title in 29 minutes.

HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2013 02.07 – pre PPV info

Hello fans.  As we get ready for the 1^st PPV of the year, people are really getting back into the swing of things so begins the Warzone: Battlefield of Pain.  The PPV is still being finalized and there are things that have begun to prepare us for the upcoming showdown.  First in the news is that Master Bull, assistant GM to Wayne Tuttle has been doing a good job in Mr. Tuttle’s absence.  In fact, at their last brainstorming session, Master Bull has been given more authority in the running of the HWF as Mr. Tuttle claims he “just doesn’t have the time” to do what needs to be done. 

Reid Rothchild is back in the news also as he challenged Magnus for his #2 shot for the Western States Heritage title.  The battle went 29 minutes but somehow, out of nowhere, The Elitist got the win after connecting with a Rock Bottom. Reid moves up in the rankings.  He then challenged John Cena for the title at the PPV.  Cena came out and with only a few words spoken, he accepted.

Rey Mysterio drew on his #1 contention for the World Title calling for his match against Christian.   Since the US title would not be on the line here, he was required to defend the US title.   Mysterio chose Austin Aries as his opponent.  In what looked like was going to be a pushover turned out to be a true battle.  Aries took it to the champ never letting up.  Aries dominated the match like no other keeping Mysterio grounded.  The match went 20 minutes and after missing a 6-1-9, Aries connected with a  german suplex and with a secure lock on the tights, got the 1-2-3 and became the NEW US CHAMPION.  Mysterio will be granted a rematch in the future. 

With this win, Aries will defend the US title at the PPV.  Aries, claiming to be a defending champion, chose Mike “the Axe” Medley as his opponent at the PPV.

Cactus Jack chose to defend his Media title against MW3.

Donnie B has challenged Hernandez for his world title shot.

RVD will defend the World title against the Rock.  Due to the IC title not being defended at the PPV, Rock had to defend it against a challenger.  Just as he was going to pick his opponent, out comes Kurt Angle who demands his title shot.  In a quick match, only 4 minutes, Rock retains the title after Kurt was counted out.  In fact, it was the Miz who came out to distract Angle.  Angle was not happy with the distraction so he immediately challenged Miz for his title shot.  Miz tried to backpedal but Master Bull came out and said the match would happen at the PPV.  This brought out Daniel Bryan who said that he wanted his shot at Angle at the PPV.  Master Bull then changed his mind saying that Daniel Bryan would face off against the Miz.  If Miz wins, he loses his title shot.  If Bryan wins, then Angle will defend the North American title at the PPV.  In 16 minutes, Daniel Bryan gets the win over the Miz and now it will be Angle vs Bryan at the PPV.  The Miz wins the vacated spot for the X-division title so these two will meet again.

Big Show and Kane will be defending the tag team titles against the Hardys.

Negronomicon and Superstar Billy Pearl are challenging the USO’s for their spot.

Super Warrior came out demanding his shot at the X-division title.  Master Bull came back out and said the Bryan has to be a fighting champion so his title will also be on the line at the PPV.

The PPV promises to begin with a bang.   Stay tuned for the results.

HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2013 02.06

Hi fans, welcome to our next installment. Apparently, one of the biggest names in the industry did not get picked for any title match.  That man’s name is Sheamus.  Sheamus was asked what belt he wanted to challenge for.  He thought about it for a moment to size up the champs. “Well, if I challenge for the North American title held by Kurt Angle, I could win that one and rename it the International Championship.  But if I wanted to go that route, I’d be better going after the IC title held by the Rock.  But when I really think about it, the World title picture is where I want to be.  So I’ve made my decision.  Hunico, I challenge you for your shot at the World Heavyweight title.”

Sheamus went down to the ring and was met by Hunico.  It only took 9 minutes but Sheamus got the win after Hunico got counted out.

Super Warrior then came down with a challenge of his own.  “Hear me Warriors, I am here this day to throw down the gauntlet in true WARRIOR style!  Nigel McGuinness!  I challenge YOU for your spot as #1 contender for the X-Division Title Strap. I will give you credit Nigel you are a good wrestler but a WARRIOR beats a wrestler any day of the week!  Your limitless arrogance will be your downfall...  Your defeat will be the first step of MANY on my climb up the mountain of IMMORTALITY!!! ”

Nigel then came out with a mic of his own.  “Well, for a minute there I thought we were partners.  I guess not anymore.   If I go back and watch our tag match, it was I who carried you.  If my memory serves, I carried your sorry ass through the match.  It will be with pleasure that I put you in your place.

Just before Nigel could head to the ring, the asst. GM Master Bull came out with a mic of his own.  “Alright, the two of you.  This is a sanctioned match but with a twist.  I don’t want anyone coming back to me complaining ‘I got counted out, I really should have won’ so this will be a falls count anywhere match with a 45 min time limit.  Now, get er done.”

I almost expected to see this match never leave the ring.  Finally when it did, Super warrior stole a chair from ringside and nailed Nigel in the head drawing blood.  Nigel went down like a sack of potatoes.  SW got the 1-2-3 and is now  the top contender for the X-division title and McGuinness moves to a lower position for the North American title. 

Cactus Jack came out for his next match which is being streamed live to Facebook and YouTube.  His opponent is Eric Young.  Cactus was able to retain the title but something else happened.  During the match, Cactus took the chair that SW borrowed from ringside to introduce EY’s face to.  It just so happens that the ringside seat belonged to The Mighty Casey.  He was pretty hot seeing his seat (and there was nowhere else for him to sit) being used by Cactus.  He tried to yell at Jack but was pretty much ignored.  Casey stormed out.

By some fluke in the system, “The Elitist” Reid Rothchild was set up in the wrong federation.  He was granted a title shot at the HWF X-Division title but since he is not HWF, he was removed and that spot will remain vacated unless something else happens.

Reid was nonetheless happy about this so he challenged Chris Sabin for his shot at the Western States Heritage title.  Before the match could start, Mr Meyers came out and declared that if Sabin loses, he is out.  If Rothchild loses, well, he be out on his ass. Fortunately for Reid, he did not need it and in 5 minutes was able to get the win after Sabin was pinned by the figure four (his shoulders never came up after the ref counted to 3).  Chris Sabin is now gone and Rothchild has earned his spot.

It has also been announced that the Warzone PPV will be happening this week in Tampa, Fl.

HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2013 02.05

Hi fans.  Welcome back.  We just have some matches to recap.  3MB consisting of Slater and McIntyre challenged the USO’s.  3MB had the match in the bag but could not get the USO’s to lay down for them.  It was a hard fought battle going 45 minutes and ended up as a draw.  The USO’s retain their spots.

 

The next match had Rob Terry and Robbie E challenging the Elitist and the Axe.  This one went for 13 minutes and surprisingly saw the Axe do most of the work (why am I not surprised).  Axe got the win after Robbie E submitted to a bearhug and basically had passed out.  After the match, the team of Donnie B and MW3 ran down to the ring and briefly brawled with Rothchild and Medley before the two bags of wind took off through the crowd.

 

Big Show and Kane came out to defend their titles for the first time.  Kane took the mic and announced that they would be defending against Reigns and Rollins.  The two members of the Shield came down.  Surprisingly the Shield controlled the majority of this short match but while Kane was getting pummeled by Seth Rollins, Big Show delivered a huge chokeslam to Roman Reigns (the legal man) and put him through the Spanish announce table.  Rollins got tossed to the other side of the ring so he did not see what happened.  Reigns gets counted out and Big Show and Kane retain their belts.

 

Daniel Bryan came out next to defend the X-division title against BJ Whitmer.  Bryan controlled the majority of the match and even gave himself an 18 minute workout in the process.  Bryan ends up with the win and still the X-division champ.

 

Samoa Joe came out and challenged Brad Maddox for his spot.  In only 6 ½ minutes and an ass-whupping, Maddox decided to get himself counted out as he left the ring.  Samoa Joe gets his spot and eventually another shot as Cactus’ Media Championship.

 

Kurt Angle finally decided to defend the NA title against Mike Knox.  Mike Knox got the lead early and then tossed Angle from the ring.  Angle appeared to have landed bad and ended up getting counted out.  Knox wins the match but not the title.

 

John Cena opted to defend his title against Damian Sandow.  This had to be the fastest match in recent memory as it went less than 60 seconds.  Sandow began pummeling Cena with his fists and Cena nailed the F-U for the 1-2-3.  John Cena retains his Western States Heritage title.

 

The Rock chose Tyson Kidd as his opponent.  After a 13 minute fight, Rock walks out the champ after pinning Kidd with a nasty spinebuster.

 

Rey Mysterio had the toughest choice of all but he also opted to go with what he thought would be his easiest match against Jack Swagger.  Sadly, it was easier than he could have hoped.  The champ totally dominated the challenger and got the roll up pin on Swagger after 13 min.

 

Christian decided to defend his title against Tensai.  We stand corrected. This was actually the fastest match of the night and probably tied for the fastest ever.  Tensai tried for a claw hold but Christian launched him over the top rope and through a ringside table. Tensai never got up and Christian retains the title by countout.

 

Finally, RVD chose Justin Gabriel as his opponent.  RVD beat the living snot out of Gabriel.  RVD controlled the entire match and finally after 16 minutes, he decided to pin Gabriel after a VanDaminator.

HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2013 02.04

Hello fans.  Welcome back.  The top 10’s are still being created so we are still on pace for a weekend announcement.  We have some news regarding the HWF management.  Donnie B was approached by Wayne Tuttle who told him (yeah, I had my ear to the door, so what?) that managing the federation on a day to day basis was just going to be too much for him to handle so he was bringing on an assistant GM; a young fella by the name of Master Bull (aka Brooks Corwin).  Master Bull will not take any “bull” from anyone on the roster so everyone better stay in line.  The first thing Master Bull does is to fire Kid Kash.  He said that he just looked at him wrong backstage and said that he was no longer employed.  Wow, what a grouch.

All of the rankings have been compiled.  All but one person (non tag team) did not make it.  That man was Roderick Strong.  He noticed that both Big Show and Kane have made it for singles titles which didn’t make sense so he complained and Mr. Meyers did in fact acknowledge this error so both Kane and Big Show were removed from the world title picture.  Kane’s spot was awarded to Strong.  Big Show’s spot was left open.  That leaves 2 men left to fight for it.  3MB and the Shield all wanted that final spot but 2 of the wrestlers have to be left for the tag team title picture so it was agreed that a quick battle royal would take place with those final 6 left to fight for it.  The last man standing after eliminating Drew McIntyre is Jinder Mahal.

There are three (really sucky) teams that did not make it into the tag team top 10 – Rob Terry and Robbie E, Slater and McIntyre and the Colons.   Right after everything was finalized, Slater and McIntyre challenged the USO’s for their spot in the tag team line up.  The USO accepted and stated at the next show, they would put their spot on the line.  Big Show and Kane were present and really had a good laugh at this all.  They kept mocking the Team of the Robs and the Colons for not even being able to secure a single win…at all. 

While challenges were being thrown around, the Rob’s challenged Rothchild and the Axe for their spots and the Colons challenged Negronomicon and Billy Pearl. 

Mr Meyers was also backstage talking about the possibility of some job cuts.  He told Clarkus Kentus that his federation had to be a collection of winners and not whiners so unless certain people picked up the ball, there may be some heads on the chopping block too.

This just announced.  Normally, the first PPV of the year called Warzone that would be held in January would actually take place in New Orleans during the month of February.  All champions are being told that they have to defend their titles at least once before the PPV so they may not opt to go in order.  We have been informed by Mr Tuttle through his asst GM Master Bull that the HWF world title will be on the line with RVD defending against the Rock and Kurt Angle defending against Daniel Bryan.  Over on the CSWA side, Christian will be defending his World title against Rey Mysterio.  The other matches have yet to be defined.

Also stuck on the sidelines is Dean Ambrose.  He came out and challenged JTG for his spot.  At first JTG didn’t want to come out. Mr. Meyers came out and ordered JTG to the ring.  He still refused to head down.  Meyers stated that JTG would be guaranteed a World title shot if he came out.  That statement brought him down.  “But, if you lose this match, you are out of a job.”  JTG was floored.  Ambrose immediately attacked him and the bell rang.  It only took 7 minutes to find out that JTG was heading to the unemployment line.  He was all sad and weepy as he left the building.  “I said there would be some housecleaning and this is where it starts.” Mr Meyers stated.  “I expect no demand 100% in the ring.  If you aren’t willing to do it, it may be time to look for a job elsewhere.”

One last thing before signing off, any wrestler within their own federation can challenge another member in any top 10 for their spot.  It the challenger wins, he will take over that spot and the loser will take over the other’s.  This could be something as a #9 seed moving up to a #3 spot or even that same #9 seed in the X-division line up could challenge and defeat someone getting a world title shot.  Once that person gets the win, no one can challenge them further.
