Jack
Lumber Cashes In Tonight
After surviving the Convergent Championship Tournament, Jack Lumber has earned
one more opportunity to reclaim the Convergent Championship from the man who
took it from him—Abaddon. Can Jack become a two-time Convergent Champion, or
will Abaddon's reign continue?
Another
Recruit for Lazarus?
Lazarus Blackstar has already convinced Ambrose Chapel and Dorian Vire to
follow his vision. Tonight, Titan Briggs competes against Ethan Hayes, but
rumors continue to swirl that Lazarus has set his sights on another powerful
addition to his growing movement.
The
Road to Reign of Champions Continues
Every victory—and every setback—carries extra weight as HCW's biggest event of
the summer draws closer. Championships, rankings, and rivalries continue to
evolve with every passing week.
Tonight's
Main Event
Abaddon defends the Convergent Championship against Jack Lumber.
Pyrotechnics
erupt across the Columbia Coliseum as thousands of fans leap to their feet.
Red, white, and silver lights sweep through the arena while the familiar
opening theme of HCW Voltage echoes throughout the building. Signs wave
high above the crowd as the camera pans across the excited audience before
settling at the commentary desk.
Sam
Duffy:
"Hello, everyone, and welcome to another exciting edition of HCW Voltage!
I'm Sam Duffy, alongside Rick Granger, and we've got a tremendous night of
action ahead of us."
Rick
Granger:
"We certainly do, Sam. Jack Lumber climbed all the way through the
Convergent Championship Tournament, and tonight he gets exactly what he
earned—a chance to take back the championship Abaddon ripped away from
him."
Sam
Duffy:
"That championship has represented both HCW and NPCW with distinction, and
tonight's main event has all the makings of another memorable chapter in its
history."
Rick
Granger:
"But before we get there, we've got another situation that's been hanging
over HCW for weeks."
"Lazarus
Blackstar has already recruited Ambrose Chapel."
"He's
already recruited Dorian Vire."
"And
after everything we've been hearing this week, you have to wonder if Titan
Briggs is next."
Sam
Duffy:
"That's exactly where we're going to begin because Titan Briggs is
scheduled for action right now. Whether the rumors are true or not, I have a
feeling we're all about to find out."
The camera
pans across the enthusiastic Columbia Coliseum crowd as the opening guitar riff
of Ethan Hayes' entrance theme fills the arena.
Ethan ‘Lighting’
Hayes steps through the curtain to a warm ovation from the HCW faithful.
Slapping hands with fans along the entrance aisle, Hayes points toward the ring
before breaking into a jog, sliding under the bottom rope and climbing a
turnbuckle to acknowledge the audience one more time.
Sam
Duffy:
"Ethan Hayes has quickly become one of the most respected young
competitors on the HCW roster. Every time he steps into this ring, he brings
everything he's got."
Rick
Granger:
"And tonight he'll need every bit of it. Titan Briggs isn't just one of
the strongest men in HCW—he's become one of the most talked-about after
everything that's happened over the past few weeks."
Hayes
drops down from the turnbuckle and begins loosening up in his corner, never
taking his eyes off the entrance.
The arena
lights dim.
A heavy,
deliberate beat echoes through the Coliseum before Titan Briggs emerges from
behind the curtain. His expression is stoic, almost unreadable, as he slowly
surveys the crowd. He pays no attention to the jeers raining down from the
audience, keeping his focus squarely on the ring.
Sam
Duffy:
"There's an intensity about Titan Briggs tonight that feels...
different."
"We've
heard the speculation all week, but until something actually happens, that's
all it is."
Rick
Granger:
"I don't know, Sam. Ever since Lazarus Blackstar started gathering
followers, Titan has looked like a man who's searching for something."
"Whether
that's purpose... revenge... or simply power..."
"...we
may get our answer before this night is over."
Titan
reaches ringside and slowly climbs the steel steps. He steps between the ropes
and locks eyes with Ethan Hayes from across the ring.
Neither
man says a word.
The
referee checks both competitors as the crowd buzzes with anticipation before
signaling for the opening contest to begin.
The
referee signals for the bell, and both men circle cautiously before locking up
in the center of the ring.
Titan
Briggs immediately uses his size advantage, driving Ethan Hayes backward before
launching him across the ring with a thunderous Biel Toss. Hayes answers right
back, stunning the powerhouse with a Swanton Bomb that brings the crowd to its
feet.
Sam
Duffy:
"Ethan Hayes isn't intimidated in the least! He's taking the fight right
to Titan Briggs."
Rick
Granger:
"He'd better keep moving because standing toe-to-toe with Titan is a
losing proposition."
The pace
remains surprisingly even through the opening minutes. Hayes relies on his
speed, connecting with sitout jawbreakers, gourdbusters, and a beautifully
executed Twist of Fate to keep the larger Briggs off balance. Every time it
appears Hayes is beginning to build momentum, Titan answers with overwhelming
power.
A crushing
Spike Spinebuster.
A massive
Chokeslam.
A
devastating Splash Mountain Powerbomb.
Each one
shakes the ring and reminds everyone why Titan is considered one of HCW's most
physically imposing competitors.
Midway
through the contest, Hayes strings together another impressive rally. An Alley
Oop Facebuster nearly sends Titan crashing to the canvas for good before Hayes
follows with another Reverse of Fate, forcing Briggs to dig deep just to
survive.
Sam
Duffy:
"Ethan Hayes has thrown everything at Titan Briggs, and somehow this match
is still up for grabs."
Rick
Granger:
"That's because monsters don't stay down, Sam."
"They
just keep coming."
The battle
begins to shift as Titan's raw power starts taking its toll. A pair of crushing
Powerbomb Symphonies leave Hayes struggling to regain his footing, and another
Biel Toss nearly sends him out of the ring altogether.
Still,
Hayes refuses to stay down.
The crowd
rallies behind him as he battles back with a basement dropkick and another
sitout gourdbuster, refusing to let Titan completely seize control.
Sam
Duffy:
"You've got to admire the heart of Ethan Hayes."
"He
refuses to quit."
Rick
Granger:
"Heart only gets you so far when you're standing across the ring from
Titan Briggs."
Late in
the contest, Titan plants Hayes with another Splash Mountain Powerbomb before
stalking his exhausted opponent as he slowly struggles back to his feet.
Hayes
makes one final desperate attempt, charging forward with a Manhattan Drop...
...but
Titan sees it coming.
He catches
Hayes in mid-motion, muscles him off the mat, and launches him backward with an
earth-shattering Deadlift Release German Suplex.
Hayes
lands hard.
Titan
wastes no time, rolling over and hooking both legs.
Sam
Duffy:
"That may do it!"
Rick
Granger:
"I don't think Ethan's getting up from that one!"
'Honest'
Abe:
"ONE!"
"TWO!"
"THREE!"
DING!
DING! DING!
Sam
Duffy:
"What an incredible effort by Ethan Hayes, but in the end, Titan Briggs'
overwhelming strength proved to be the difference."
Rick
Granger:
"And if the rumors are true..."
"...this
may only be the beginning."
Titan
rises to his feet without celebrating, his expression unchanged as the referee
raises his arm in victory.
Suddenly...
The arena
grows noticeably quieter.
Lazarus
Blackstar steps onto the entrance stage.
Walking a
step behind him are Ambrose Chapel and Dorian Vire.
The three
men make their way deliberately toward the ring, neither rushing nor
acknowledging the hostile reaction from the crowd.
Sam
Duffy:
"Here they come."
Rick
Granger:
"This isn't a coincidence."
"They're
here for Titan Briggs."
Lazarus
climbs into the ring alone while Ambrose and Dorian enter just behind him.
Titan
never takes his eyes off Lazarus.
For
several long moments...
Neither
man speaks.
Finally...
Lazarus
Blackstar:
"You felt it..."
"...didn't
you?"
Titan says
nothing.
Lazarus
Blackstar:
"You've heard it calling."
"You
already know your answer."
Lazarus
slowly extends his hand.
The
Columbia Coliseum falls silent.
Titan
studies the outstretched hand.
He glances
briefly toward the crowd...
...then
back to Lazarus.
Without
another word...
Titan
reaches forward...
...and
firmly shakes his hand.
A faint
smile crosses Lazarus' face.
Lazarus
Blackstar:
"Welcome."
Lazarus
turns toward the ropes.
Ambrose
Chapel and Dorian Vire fall in beside him.
Titan
takes one last look around the arena...
...then
follows.
The four
men disappear behind the curtain together without another word.
Sam
Duffy:
"I don't know what Lazarus Blackstar is building..."
"...but
it just got a whole lot bigger."
Rick
Granger:
"And for the rest of the HCW locker room..."
"I
have a feeling that's very bad news indeed."
Sam
Duffy:
"We go backstage now where Larry Morton is meeting with the flannel
wearing lumberjack himself – Jack Lumber.
Over to you Larry.”
The scene
shifts backstage where Larry Morton is standing by with Jack Lumber. The former
Convergent Champion is already dressed to compete later tonight, his focus
evident as the championship opportunity looms.
Larry
Morton:
"Thank you, Sam."
"Jack,
just one week ago you won the Convergent Championship Tournament to earn this
opportunity. Tonight, you'll step into the ring with Abaddon, the man who
defeated you to win that championship. What does this match mean to you?"
Jack
Lumber:
"It means I get another chance."
"When
I lost the Convergent Championship, I made myself a promise."
"I
wasn't going to ask for another opportunity."
"I
was going to earn it."
"The
tournament gave me that opportunity, and now everything comes full
circle."
Larry
Morton:
"You've already held that championship once before. Does facing Abaddon
make this feel more personal?"
Jack
Lumber:
"I don't hate Abaddon."
"He
beat me."
"He
was the better man/demon that night."
"I
accepted that."
"But
championships aren't meant to stay with one person forever."
"They're
meant to be defended."
"They're
meant to be earned."
"And
tonight..."
"I
intend to earn it back."
Larry
Morton:
"Any final thoughts before the biggest match of your summer?"
Jack
Lumber:
"I know exactly how dangerous Abaddon is."
"I
know exactly what kind of fight he's going to bring."
"That's
why I've prepared for this moment every single day since I lost the
championship."
"Tonight,
I walk into that ring with respect for the man across from me..."
"...but
I have every intention of walking out with the Convergent Championship."
Jack gives
Larry a respectful nod before walking out of frame, his attention already fixed
on the challenge awaiting him later in the evening.
Larry
Morton:
"Jack Lumber looks ready for what could be the biggest match of his
year."
"We'll
find out later tonight if preparation is enough to reclaim the Convergent
Championship."
The camera
fades back toward ringside as HCW Voltage continues.
The camera
returns to ringside as Sam Duffy and Rick Granger prepare fans for the next
contest.
Sam
Duffy:
"Jack Lumber has said all the right things tonight."
"He
knows exactly what's waiting for him in the main event, and he'll have the
opportunity to reclaim the Convergent Championship from Abaddon."
Rick
Granger:
"I believed him."
"There
wasn't any arrogance in what he said."
"Just
confidence."
"But
confidence only gets you so far when you're standing across the ring from a man
like Abaddon."
Sam
Duffy:
"Well, before we get to tonight's championship main event, we've still got
plenty of action to come, beginning with our next contest."
The
opening notes of Rex Rampage's entrance theme blast through the Columbia
Coliseum as the crowd immediately responds with a chorus of boos.
Rex
Rampage storms through the curtain with a scowl etched across his face. He
glares into the crowd, jawing with a few fans along the entrance aisle before
pounding a fist against his chest.
Ignoring
the hostility surrounding him, Rex marches directly to the ring with purpose.
He climbs onto the apron, steps through the ropes, and stretches across the top
rope while glaring toward the entrance.
Sam
Duffy:
"Rex Rampage has all the physical tools to compete with anyone on the HCW
roster."
Rick
Granger:
"The problem is Rex has never been known for patience."
"He
wants to bulldoze everybody in front of him, and sometimes that works."
The arena
lighting brightens as an energetic rock anthem fills the building.
Duke
Knight emerges through the curtain to a warm ovation from the HCW faithful.
Wearing a confident smile, Duke points toward the crowd before making his way
down the aisle, exchanging high-fives with fans on both sides.
He pauses
briefly at ringside, takes in the atmosphere, and then slides beneath the
bottom rope before climbing the nearest turnbuckle to salute the audience.
Sam
Duffy:
"Duke Knight has become one of the most popular competitors in HCW because
he never backs down from a challenge."
Rick
Granger:
"And tonight he'll need every ounce of that determination."
"Rex
Rampage is going to make this a fight from the opening bell."
Duke hops
down from the turnbuckle and removes his entrance jacket, never taking his eyes
off his opponent.
Across the
ring, Rex cracks his neck and motions for Duke to bring the fight.
The
referee checks both competitors before calling for the bell to begin the match.
The bell
sounds, and Duke Knight immediately looks to use his speed, circling the larger
Rex Rampage.
Rex has
other ideas.
He
explodes out of the corner and nearly cuts Duke in half with a thunderous
running clothesline that sends the fan favorite crashing to the canvas.
Sam
Duffy:
"That's the kind of impact Rex Rampage can create in an instant."
Rick
Granger:
"He doesn't waste motion. Everything he throws is designed to hurt."
Rex stays
on the attack, using his power and aggression to dictate the early pace. He
hammers Duke with stiff forearms before tossing him over the top rope and onto
the arena floor.
'Honest'
Abe:
"One!... Two!... Three!... Four!... Five!"
Duke
slides back into the ring just before the count reaches six, only to be met by
another charging Rampage.
The
momentum finally shifts when Duke creates just enough separation to spring to
the top rope.
He
launches himself across the ring with a breathtaking Shooting Star Press.
The
Columbia Coliseum erupts.
Sam
Duffy:
"What an incredible counter by Duke Knight!"
Rick
Granger:
"That's exactly what he needed. He can't outmuscle Rex, so he's got to
outmaneuver him."
Now it's
Duke pressing the advantage.
A Flying
Fivearm rocks Rex.
A
slingshot suplex follows.
Then a
Hangman DDT plants the powerhouse squarely on the mat.
Duke hooks
the leg.
'Honest'
Abe:
"ONE!"
Rex powers
out.
The match
settles into a hard-fought back-and-forth battle.
Every time
Duke strings together momentum with a dropkick, neckbreaker, or another
spectacular Shooting Star Press...
...Rex
answers with brute force.
A taped
fist catches Duke flush across the jaw.
A
piledriver halts another comeback.
Even a
blatant kick to the groin behind the referee's back gives Rex another opening.
Sam
Duffy:
"Come on! Honest Abe didn't see it!"
Rick
Granger:
"He didn't see it because Duke should've been paying attention."
"You
call it cheating."
"I
call it surviving."
Duke
refuses to stay down.
He nearly
steals the match with a small package.
He nearly
wins it again after another spectacular Shooting Star Press.
Each
time...
Rex barely
escapes.
Sam
Duffy:
"Duke Knight has come within inches of winning this match several
different times!"
Rick
Granger:
"That's why Rex Rampage is dangerous."
"He
can survive your best shot..."
"...and
then end your night."
The two
continue exchanging heavy blows as fatigue begins setting in.
Duke lands
another slingshot suplex.
Rex
answers with a sleeper hold to slow the pace.
The crowd
rallies behind Duke, urging him to make one final comeback.
Instead...
Rex sees
his opening.
As Duke
attempts to rise, Rampage wraps his powerful arms around him and drags him
violently to the canvas.
Before
Duke can escape, Rex cinches in the Rampage Lock, wrenching back with
all his strength.
Sam
Duffy:
"He's got it locked in!"
"Right
in the center of the ring!"
Duke
fights.
He
reaches.
He claws
toward the ropes.
But the
pressure becomes too much.
Duke Knight
taps out.
DING!
DING! DING!
Sam
Duffy:
"Duke Knight gave everything he had tonight, but Rex Rampage simply
overpowered him when it mattered most."
Rick
Granger:
"That's what separates Rex."
"He
doesn't care how pretty the match looks."
"He
only cares about winning."
Rex
immediately releases the hold as the referee raises his arm in victory.
Without
acknowledging the crowd...
Without
looking back at Duke Knight...
Rex simply
exits the ring and heads straight up the entrance ramp, leaving the defeated
Duke to recover in the center of the ring as HCW Voltage heads to its first
commercial break.
Commercial
Break
We'll be
right back with more HCW Voltage.
HCW
Voltage returns from commercial as the camera sweeps across the energetic crowd
inside the Columbia Coliseum. Fans wave signs and cheer as the familiar sounds
of the broadcast return.
Sam
Duffy:
"Welcome back to HCW Voltage."
"We've
already seen Titan Briggs pick up an impressive victory before accepting
Lazarus Blackstar's invitation to join his growing movement."
Rick
Granger:
"And Rex Rampage reminded everybody just how dangerous he can be by
forcing Duke Knight to submit."
Sam
Duffy:
"But now it's time for tag team action."
"Horizon
Strike has become one of the most exciting young teams in HCW, and they're
looking to build some momentum tonight."
The arena
lights dim before vibrant blue and silver lights begin sweeping across the
Columbia Coliseum. An energetic electronic rock anthem fills the building as
Kai Zenith bursts through the curtain, throwing his arms into the air to a loud
ovation.
A moment
later, Skyline Vega joins him, and the two exchange a quick fist bump before
making their way toward the ring, slapping hands with fans lining the entrance
aisle.
Sam
Duffy:
"These two have incredible chemistry together."
"Kai
Zenith and Skyline Vega seem to know where the other is at all times."
Rick
Granger:
"They're exciting."
"I'll
give them that."
"But
excitement doesn't always translate into victories."
Kai and
Skyline slide into the ring and climb opposite turnbuckles, acknowledging the
cheering crowd before dropping back to the canvas and preparing for the match
ahead.
Suddenly...
A trumpet
fanfare blares through the arena speakers.
The crowd
immediately responds with loud boos.
Colorful
confetti cannons fire near the entrance as Muscles McGuire and Muscles
Weasley bounce through the curtain wearing matching brightly colored
singlets and oversized smiles. Each man carries an oversized cereal box labeled
"Booty-O's", proudly holding it high for the cameras as though
they're unveiling the greatest breakfast ever created.
McGuire
reaches into the box and tosses handfuls of cereal toward the crowd.
The fans
reject it immediately, with several pieces bouncing harmlessly off the ringside
floor as the duo laugh amongst themselves.
Rick
Granger:
"Now that's marketing."
"I'd
buy a box."
Sam
Duffy:
"I somehow doubt that."
Rick
Granger:
"What? High protein."
"Part
of a balanced breakfast."
McGuire
flexes in front of the hard camera while Weasley enthusiastically points at the
cereal box before both men pose together at the top of the entrance ramp.
Still
grinning from ear to ear, they march toward the ring, shouting at fans that
they're looking at "the strongest tag team in wrestling."
They climb
into the ring and continue posing, each taking turns flexing their muscles
while Horizon Strike watches from across the ring with amused expressions.
Sam
Duffy:
"The Muscles Duo may love entertaining themselves..."
"...but
Horizon Strike isn't here to laugh."
"They're
here to win."
The
referee brings both teams together for final instructions before directing
everyone to their respective corners.
The
Columbia Coliseum buzzes with anticipation as the bell is about to sound.
The bell
sounds, and the Muscles Duo immediately abandon any pretense of wrestling fair.
Before Kai
Zenith can establish himself, McGuire distracts the referee just long enough
for Weasley to slip into the ring. The two men swarm Kai with a pair of diving
crossbodies before the official finally restores order.
Sam
Duffy:
"Come on! We haven't even settled into this match and they're already
bending the rules."
Rick
Granger:
"They're just making sure Horizon Strike understands this isn't going to
be a gymnastics exhibition."
Kai
weathers the early assault and responds with a lightning-fast kick flurry
before dropping McGuire with a spinning heel kick that brings the fans roaring
to life.
The pace
quickly becomes exactly what everyone expected.
Fast.
Chaotic.
Nonstop.
McGuire
catches Kai with the devastating Midnight Hour Diving D.D.T., only for
Kai to answer moments later with a blistering roundhouse kick.
Weasley
tags in and immediately keeps the pressure on, connecting with the Honor
Roll Rolling Clothesline, but Kai refuses to surrender momentum, firing
back with a PK followed by a standing moonsault knee strike.
Sam
Duffy:
"This is exactly why Horizon Strike has become one of the most exciting
teams in HCW."
Rick
Granger:
"They're fast..."
"They're
creative..."
"...and
they never stop attacking."
Kai makes
the tag to Skyline Vega.
The fresh
Vega enters like a whirlwind.
A
breathtaking Rainham Maker Ripcord Spanish Fly rocks Weasley.
Moments
later, Skyline follows with the Hidden Blade, nearly ending the contest
before McGuire manages to get his partner back into the fight.
The
Muscles Duo begin relying more and more on shortcuts.
An illegal
distraction.
Outside
interference.
Constant
blind tags.
Every
trick they can think of.
Sam
Duffy:
"The Muscles Duo are doing everything they can to steal this one."
Rick
Granger:
"That's called teamwork."
"I
wish more tag teams understood it."
When
McGuire and Weasley attempt another double-team attack, Kai has it scouted.
He ducks
beneath the Tornado D.D.T., avoids the Boom Drop, and creates just enough
separation to reach Skyline.
The
momentum shifts instantly.
Horizon
Strike execute a beautiful series of tandem offense.
A Top
Rope Frankensteiner.
A Silent
Whisper Superkick.
The
Columbia Coliseum rises to its feet.
Kai stays
in control as Skyline lands a perfectly timed Cheeky Nandos Kick,
leaving Weasley staggered.
Sam
Duffy:
"Now this is the Horizon Strike we've come to know!"
"They're
firing on all cylinders!"
Kai hoists
Weasley high into the air...
...and
drives him into the canvas with the devastating Flamingo Driver.
Skyline
immediately blasts McGuire off the ring apron with another perfectly placed
kick, preventing any chance of a save.
Kai dives
across Weasley and hooks both legs.
'Honest'
Abe:
"ONE!"
"TWO!"
"THREE!"
DING!
DING! DING!
Sam
Duffy:
"What a tremendous victory for Horizon Strike!"
"They
weathered everything the Muscles Duo threw at them and answered with
outstanding teamwork of their own."
Rick
Granger:
"I don't like admitting it..."
"...but
that finishing sequence was impressive."
McGuire
pounds the mat in frustration before helping Weasley back to his feet.
The two
exchange a few irritated words with one another before deciding not to linger.
Still
grumbling over the loss, the Muscles Duo leave the ring and make their way back
up the entrance ramp, disappearing behind the curtain.
Meanwhile,
Kai Zenith and Skyline Vega stand together in the center of the ring as the
crowd applauds.
The
referee raises both of their hands in victory.
Kai points
toward Skyline in appreciation before Skyline returns the gesture, the two
sharing a quick fist bump as the fans continue cheering.
After
taking one final moment to acknowledge the Columbia Coliseum, Horizon Strike
exit the ring together and head backstage, celebrating a hard-earned victory.
The
broadcast cuts away from ringside to a live backstage camera positioned near
the Gorilla Position.
Abaddon
comes into view.
The
Convergent Championship rests over his right shoulder.
His
expression never changes.
He doesn't
acknowledge the production crew.
He doesn't
look toward the camera.
He simply
walks down the hallway with a slow, deliberate purpose, every step carrying him
closer to tonight's main event.
One
production assistant instinctively steps aside as Abaddon passes.
Another
quietly watches him disappear around the corner.
There is
no music.
No
fanfare.
No
theatrics.
Just the
champion making his way toward the biggest match of the evening.
Sam
Duffy:
"That's our Convergent Champion."
"Abaddon
has carried himself with that same quiet confidence ever since he defeated Jack
Lumber to win the title."
Rick
Granger:
"And did you notice something?"
Sam
Duffy:
"I did."
"For
the first time in quite a while..."
"...Abaddon
is alone."
Rick
Granger:
"No Lilith."
"No
Vlad."
"No
entourage."
"Just
the champion."
Sam
Duffy:
"I don't know if that gives Jack Lumber any sort of advantage, but it
certainly changes the dynamic."
"Usually,
wherever Abaddon goes, Lilith isn't far behind."
Rick
Granger:
"Maybe Abaddon decided he didn't need anyone tonight."
"Or
maybe he wanted Jack to understand one thing."
"When
that bell rings..."
"...it's
just champion versus challenger."
The camera
lingers for one final moment on the now-empty hallway before fading back toward
ringside as HCW Voltage continues.
The camera
returns to ringside where the crowd buzzes in anticipation of the next contest.
Sam
Duffy:
"Our main event is still to come as Abaddon defends the Convergent
Championship against Jack Lumber."
"But
first, we've got action in the HCW Women's Division."
Rick
Granger:
"And that's a division that's becoming more competitive every single
week."
"Nobody
can afford to sit still."
The arena
lights take on a shimmering gold hue as Penny Hall's entrance music begins to
play.
Penny Hall
confidently steps through the curtain wearing a smug smile. She pauses at the
top of the ramp, slowly looking over the crowd before dismissing the reaction
with a slight roll of her eyes.
She
straightens her gear and confidently struts toward the ring, showing little
interest in the fans reaching over the barricade.
Sam
Duffy:
"Penny Hall has all the talent in the world."
"Sometimes
it's her attitude that gets in her own way."
Rick
Granger:
"I call it confidence."
"She
believes she's better than everyone else, and frankly, that's not the worst
mindset to have in this business."
Penny
climbs the steel steps and enters the ring, taking a slow walk around the
perimeter before settling into her corner.
The mood
inside the Columbia Coliseum immediately changes as an upbeat country-rock
anthem fills the arena.
The crowd
responds with a warm ovation as Dixie Caverns emerges through the curtain
wearing her trademark smile. She tips the brim of her cowboy hat toward the
fans before making her way down the entrance aisle, greeting supporters on both
sides with handshakes and high-fives.
Sam
Duffy:
"You'd be hard-pressed to find someone more genuine than Dixie
Caverns."
"She
loves competing, and she loves these fans."
Rick
Granger:
"She's going to need more than a smile tonight."
"Penny
Hall isn't interested in making friends."
Dixie
reaches ringside and removes her hat before placing it carefully on the ring
steps. She climbs into the ring and acknowledges the cheering crowd from the
second turnbuckle before hopping down and turning her attention toward Penny.
Across the
ring, Penny simply smirks and motions for Dixie to bring it.
The
referee calls both competitors to the center of the ring for final instructions
before sending them back to their corners.
The crowd
settles in as the bell is about to ring.
The bell
sounds and Dixie Caverns wastes no time taking the fight to Penny Hall.
She
catches Penny by surprise with a diving crossbody just seconds into the match,
sending the self-proclaimed socialite scrambling across the ring.
Sam
Duffy:
"Dixie came out with a game plan, and she's executing it perfectly."
Rick
Granger:
"Easy, Sam."
"Penny's
too smart to panic this early."
Penny
quickly regains her composure and creates an opening by sending Dixie through
the ropes with a perfectly timed dropkick.
Dixie
tumbles to the arena floor as Penny smugly brushes imaginary dust from her
hands.
'Honest'
Abe:
"One!... Two!"
Dixie
slides back into the ring before the count can become a factor.
The
exchange only fuels her determination.
She
immediately answers with a lightning-fast hurricanrana before following it with
another moments later, keeping Penny from settling into any sustained offense.
Sam
Duffy:
"Dixie's quickness is creating all kinds of problems for Penny Hall."
Rick
Granger:
"And Penny finally found an answer."
A crushing
scoop powerslam halts Dixie's momentum, followed by a monkey flip that sends
her crashing hard into the turnbuckles.
The match
settles into a competitive rhythm as both women trade momentum.
Dixie
strings together a beautiful Northern Lights Suplex and a facebuster.
Penny
answers with a hair mare mat slam before connecting with her Penny for Your
Thoughts finisher, drawing a gasp from the crowd.
Neither
woman can put the other away.
Sam
Duffy:
"This has been one of the most evenly contested matches we've seen
tonight."
Rick
Granger:
"Neither competitor is giving an inch."
Dixie
begins finding another gear.
A
hurricanrana.
A
legsweep.
A spinning
heel kick.
Each move
pushes Penny closer to defeat.
Dixie
hooks the leg.
'Honest'
Abe:
"ONE!"
Penny
kicks out.
The crowd
applauds the resilience shown by both competitors.
Penny
refuses to back down, mixing power with opportunism.
A diving
forearm smash catches Dixie flush.
A series
of small package attempts nearly steal the victory.
Even a
sunset flip produces a dramatic two-count.
Sam
Duffy:
"Penny Hall has come within a heartbeat of pulling this one out!"
Rick
Granger:
"That's why you never overlook her."
"She's
always capable of stealing a match."
Fatigue
begins showing on both women as the contest enters its closing moments.
Dixie
attempts another Northern Lights Suplex.
Penny
manages to neutralize it.
Moments
later, Dixie tries again...
This time
it connects with authority.
The
Columbia Coliseum rises to its feet.
Penny
stumbles backward, clearly dazed.
Dixie
immediately capitalizes.
She
catches Penny with a beautiful Tilt-a-Whirl Headscissors, sending her
crashing to the canvas.
Without
hesitation, Dixie hooks both legs.
Sam
Duffy:
"That could do it!"
'Honest'
Abe:
"ONE!"
"TWO!"
"THREE!"
DING!
DING! DING!
Sam
Duffy:
"Dixie Caverns picks up a tremendous victory here tonight!"
"What
a hard-fought effort by both competitors."
Rick
Granger:
"I'll give Dixie credit."
"She
stayed composed."
"And
when Penny made one mistake..."
"...Dixie
made her pay for it."
The
referee raises Dixie's hand in victory as the crowd applauds.
Across the
ring, Penny Hall sits against the bottom turnbuckle for a moment, clearly
frustrated with the outcome.
She shakes
her head in disgust before climbing to her feet and exiting the ring without
looking back.
Meanwhile,
Dixie takes a moment to acknowledge the fans on all four sides of the arena
before climbing the nearest turnbuckle and tipping her cowboy hat to the
cheering Columbia Coliseum.
With one
final wave to the audience, Dixie climbs down from the turnbuckle and heads
backstage following a well-earned victory.
Sam
Duffy:
"What a tremendous victory for Dixie Caverns."
"She's
got to feel great about building some momentum with a win like that."
Rick
Granger:
"And now..."
"...it's
time for the one everyone has been waiting for."
"The
Convergent Championship."
"Abaddon."
"Jack
Lumber."
Sam
Duffy:
"Our main event is next."
"Don't
go anywhere."
"We'll
be right back with the Convergent Championship on the line!"
HCW
Voltage fades to commercial.

Commercial Break
HCW
Voltage returns from commercial.
Instead of
heading to the ring, the broadcast cuts backstage.
Backstage
Jack
Lumber stands outside his locker room, quietly adjusting the tape around his
wrists as he mentally prepares for the biggest match of his recent career.
A familiar
voice breaks the silence.
Max
McGillicutty:
"Jack."
Jack turns
to see the HCW General Manager approaching.
The two
men exchange a respectful handshake.
Max
McGillicutty:
"You earned this opportunity."
"No
favors."
"No
shortcuts."
"You
fought through the tournament and proved you belong in tonight's main
event."
Jack nods
appreciatively.
Jack
Lumber:
"I intend to make the most of it."
Max
smiles.
Max
McGillicutty:
"I know you will."
"Good
luck out there."
Jack gives
a final nod before heading toward the Gorilla Position.
Max
watches him disappear down the hallway for a moment before turning and walking
in the opposite direction.
The camera
fades.
Backstage
Interview
The scene
shifts to Larry Morton standing near the entrance curtain.
Beside him
is the Convergent Champion, Abaddon, the championship resting silently over his
shoulder.
Larry
Morton:
"Abaddon, tonight you defend the Convergent Championship against the man
you defeated to win it."
"Do
you expect a different Jack Lumber tonight?"
Abaddon
stares ahead.
Abaddon:
"Yes."
Larry
pauses before asking one final question.
Larry
Morton:
"Any message for your challenger?"
Abaddon
slowly turns his head toward Larry.
Abaddon:
"Survive."
Without
another word, Abaddon walks past Larry and continues toward the entrance
curtain.
Larry
watches him leave before turning back to the camera.
Larry
Morton:
"Back to ringside."
The
broadcast transitions to the arena as anticipation builds for the night's main
event.
The camera
returns to ringside as the sold-out Columbia Coliseum buzzes with anticipation.
Sam
Duffy:
"Ladies and gentlemen, it is time."
"The
Convergent Championship will be decided in our main event."
Rick
Granger:
"Jack Lumber earned this opportunity by surviving the Convergent
Tournament."
"Now
he gets one more chance against the man who took the championship from
him."
Sam
Duffy:
"It doesn't get any bigger than this."
The arena
lights dim.
A
heartbeat later, Jack Lumber's entrance theme erupts through the Columbia
Coliseum.
The
response is immediate.
An
enormous ovation washes over the arena—the loudest cheer of the entire evening.
Fans leap
to their feet, waving signs and chanting Jack's name before he even appears.
Jack steps
through the curtain to a thunderous reception.
He pauses
at the top of the entrance ramp, taking in the deafening support before making
his way toward the ring.
Halfway
down the aisle, Jack veers toward the familiar section known as The Lumber
Lounge.
Its
members are already on their feet, chanting his name and pounding the barricade
in support.
Jack stops
to shake hands with several longtime supporters before sharing a brief embrace
with one young fan wearing a flannel shirt just like his.
He points
toward the group with a grateful smile before continuing toward the ring.
Sam
Duffy:
"Listen to this crowd!"
"They
believe tonight could be the night Jack Lumber becomes a two-time Convergent
Champion."
Rick
Granger:
"I've covered a lot of wrestling events."
"I
can't remember hearing this building behind one man quite like this."
Jack
circles the ring, slapping a few final hands before climbing onto the apron.
He steps
between the ropes and climbs the nearest turnbuckle, raising a fist high above
his head as the crowd answers with another deafening roar.
Jack drops
to the canvas and removes his entrance gear, never taking his eyes off the
entranceway.
The arena
suddenly falls into near silence.
The lights
dim once more.
A low,
ominous tone echoes throughout the building.
Then...
Abaddon
emerges from behind the curtain.
The
reaction is instant.
Boos rain
down from every corner of the Columbia Coliseum—easily the loudest negative
reaction of the night.
The
Convergent Championship rests across his shoulder.
He never
acknowledges the fans.
He never
changes his expression.
He simply
walks toward the ring with the same deliberate pace that has defined him since
becoming champion.
Sam
Duffy:
"The champion has arrived."
Rick
Granger:
"Whether these people like it or not..."
"Abaddon
has been every bit the champion he said he'd be."
Reaching
ringside, Abaddon slowly climbs onto the apron.
Without
hesitation, he lifts one leg...
...then
the other...
...stepping
effortlessly over the top rope and into the ring.
He walks
to the center of the canvas before removing the championship from his shoulder
and staring across at Jack Lumber.
Neither
man says a word.
Neither
man breaks eye contact.
The
tension inside the arena is palpable.
Ring
announcer Tony "Echo" Calibur steps to the center of the ring with
microphone in hand.
Tony
"Echo" Calibur:
"Ladies and gentlemen..."
"The
following contest is scheduled for one fall..."
"...and
it is for the Convergent Championship!"
The crowd
erupts.
Tony
"Echo" Calibur:
"Introducing first..."
"The
challenger..."
"From
Seattle, Washington..."
"Weighing
238 pounds..."
"JACK
LUMBER!"
The
Columbia Coliseum explodes once again as Jack raises an arm toward the crowd.
Tony
"Echo" Calibur:
"And his opponent..."
"He
is the reigning and defending..."
"Convergent
Champion!"
"From
Parts Unknown..."
"Weighing
285 pounds..."
"ABADDON!"
Abaddon
slowly raises the championship belt above his head before handing it to 'Honest'
Abe.
The
referee holds the prestigious title high in the center of the ring, presenting
it to all four sides of the arena.
He then
hands the championship to the timekeeper before turning back toward both
competitors.
Jack
Lumber and Abaddon step forward.
Eye to
eye.
Neither
man blinking.
Neither
man giving an inch.
The
Columbia Coliseum rises as one, waiting for the opening bell of the Convergent
Championship main event.
DING!
DING! DING!
The
Columbia Coliseum immediately rises to its feet as 'Slow-Count' Sam
calls for the opening bell. Jack Lumber and Abaddon slowly circle one another,
neither willing to make the first mistake. Their previous encounter had already
taught both men exactly what the other was capable of, and for several tense
moments the championship match resembled a chess game more than a fight.
Sam
Duffy:
"Here we go. The Convergent Championship. Best two out of three falls. No
time limit."
Rick
Granger:
"These two know each other inside and out. Tonight isn't about
surprises—it's about endurance."
The
feeling of caution doesn't last.
Jack
suddenly explodes forward with a thunderous Spear that sends the champion
rolling to the floor. The crowd erupts as Abaddon slowly regroups outside the
ring, but Jack wisely refuses to chase him. Instead, he waits, forcing the
champion to return on his terms.
From that
point forward, the pace becomes relentless.
Jack
repeatedly relies on his rugged power, battering the champion with stiff
uppercuts, crushing Yukon Bodyslams, and another devastating TIMMMMMBEEERRRRR.
Abaddon answers with frightening efficiency, using Hellfire Plexes, vertical
suplexes, knee strikes, and raw strength to punish the challenger every time
momentum appears to shift.
Neither
man can establish control for more than a few moments.
Sam
Duffy:
"This isn't a wrestling match anymore. It's becoming a war of
attrition."
Rick
Granger:
"And neither one of them knows how to back down."
As the
minutes tick away, the audience realizes they're watching something special.
Every exchange receives a louder reaction than the last as Jack continues
surviving punishment that would have ended almost anyone else, while Abaddon
absorbs offense that no champion should be able to withstand.
Fifteen
minutes into the contest, both competitors are visibly exhausted.
Jack
catches Abaddon with another Spear, but instead of rushing for a cover, he
drags the champion back to his feet and delivers one final blistering chop that
finally staggers the normally unshakable champion. Jack immediately hooks the
leg.
'Slow-Count'
Sam:
"ONE!... TWO!... THREE!"
For a
heartbeat, the arena falls silent.
Then the
realization hits.
Jack
Lumber has pinned the champion.
The
Columbia Coliseum explodes.
Sam
Duffy:
"He got him! Jack Lumber has scored the first fall!"
Rick
Granger:
"I can't believe it. Abaddon's been pinned, and now the champion has to
fight from behind."
Both men
remain seated in opposite corners while the referee checks on them. Their
breathing is heavy, their bodies battered, but neither considers staying down.
When the
second fall begins, the match immediately changes.
The
frantic pace disappears, replaced by deliberate, punishing exchanges. Every
strike carries more weight because every movement now requires effort. Jack
continues fighting with heart, but Abaddon begins slowing the contest to his
advantage, forcing the challenger to expend more energy with every escape and
every counter.
Sam
Duffy:
"This is championship wrestling. Abaddon knows he doesn't have to panic—he
just has to wear Jack Lumber down."
Jack
refuses to surrender the momentum. A thunderous Yukon Bodyslam and another TIMMMMMBEEERRRRR
leave the champion reeling, and for several moments it appears the title is
about to change hands. Somehow, Abaddon survives, answering with another
crushing Hellfire Plex before both men collapse from exhaustion.
Twenty
minutes become twenty-five.
Every
kick-out grows slower.
Every
strike lands harder.
Every
breath becomes a struggle.
Rick
Granger:
"They're not wrestling on strategy anymore. They're surviving on
instinct."
Jack
finally creates another opening with an Atomic Drop followed by a Yukon
Bodyslam. The crowd senses history as he hooks both legs.
'Slow-Count'
Sam:
"ONE!... TWO!..."
At the
very last instant, Abaddon twists his body underneath the challenger, trapping
Jack's shoulders against the canvas instead.
The entire
arena gasps.
Sam
Duffy:
"No! Abaddon reversed it!"
Jack
desperately struggles free, but he's a fraction of a second too late.
'Slow-Count'
Sam:
"ONE!... TWO!... THREE!"
The second
fall belongs to the champion.
The
audience can hardly believe what they've witnessed. Jack had the championship
within his grasp, only for Abaddon to steal the fall through veteran awareness
and impeccable timing.
Rick
Granger:
"That's exactly why Abaddon's the champion. He only needed one
mistake."
As both
competitors lie motionless on the canvas, the Columbia Coliseum rises together,
breaking into a deafening chant.
"THIS
IS AWESOME!"
"THIS
IS AWESOME!"
"THIS
IS AWESOME!"
The
deciding fall begins with neither man possessing much strength left. After more
than twenty-six minutes of punishment, every movement is deliberate, every
strike fueled by determination instead of energy.
Abaddon
strikes first, planting Jack with Abaddon's Fury, but even that isn't
enough to finish the challenger. Jack narrowly escapes before the champion can
capitalize, then forces himself back into the fight.
The battle
becomes increasingly desperate.
Abaddon
repeatedly punishes Jack with suplexes, Hellfire Plexes, and finally locks in
the suffocating Demonic Grip, forcing the referee to ask repeatedly if
the challenger wishes to continue. Jack refuses to surrender, fighting free
only after driving the champion backward into the turnbuckles with every ounce
of strength he has remaining.
Sam
Duffy:
"I don't know what fuels Jack Lumber... but it certainly isn't the idea of
quitting."
The crowd
refuses to sit down as the championship hangs in the balance.
Jack
counters another Abaddon's Fury attempt into a Yukon Bodyslam. Abaddon
answers with Hell's Fury, nearly ending the match before Jack somehow
kicks out at two.
For the
first time all evening, the champion's expression changes.
He can't
believe Jack is still fighting.
Neither
can anyone else.
Sam
Duffy:
"I've run out of words, Rick."
Rick
Granger:
"So have I."
"They've
given us everything."
Nearly
forty minutes into the contest, instinct replaces technique. The polished
exchanges from the opening fall give way to desperate strikes, counters, and
sheer determination as both men search for one final opening.
Abaddon
looks for one last Abaddon's Fury, but Jack slips free behind him,
stopping the momentum with a perfectly placed Atomic Drop. Seconds later,
another Yukon Bodyslam leaves both competitors sprawled across the canvas.
The
Columbia Coliseum knows the end is near.
Every fan
is standing.
Every eye
is fixed on the ring.
The
champion charges one final time.
Jack ducks
underneath.
A
thunderous chop echoes throughout the building.
Abaddon
stumbles.
Jack
plants his feet.
With one
final burst of adrenaline, he drives his forearm into the champion's jaw.
THE
AXE!
Abaddon
crumples to the mat.
Jack
collapses across the champion, hooking both legs as sixty-five hundred fans
count along.
'Slow-Count'
Sam:
"ONE!... TWO!... THREE!"
DING!
DING! DING!
The
Columbia Coliseum erupts.
Sam
Duffy:
"He did it! Jack Lumber has done it! After forty-one unforgettable
minutes, Jack Lumber is once again the Convergent Champion!"
Rick
Granger:
"I've been doing this a long time... and we just witnessed one of the
greatest matches in HCW history."
Jack rolls
onto his back, tears filling his eyes as the realization slowly sinks in.
Across the ring, Abaddon stares silently toward the lights, his championship
reign over but his legacy strengthened by an unforgettable performance. As the
crowd continues its standing ovation, it becomes clear that neither man has
simply competed in a championship match—they've created a moment that will be
remembered as one of the defining contests in HCW history.
Jack
remained on his knees as 'Slow-Count' Sam retrieved the Convergent
Championship from ringside.
The
referee took one final look toward Abaddon before turning back to the
challenger and raising the title high above his head.
The
Columbia Coliseum erupted once again.
Jack
accepted the championship with trembling hands, clutching it tightly against
his chest as emotion finally overtook him. He climbs the turnbuckle and holds
the title high. After forty-one exhausting minutes, he had
climbed back to the top of the mountain.
Sam
Duffy:
"Ladies and gentlemen... what we've witnessed tonight is why people fall
in love with professional wrestling."
"You
can talk about championships."
"You
can talk about rivalries."
"But
every once in a while... two competitors create something people remember for
years."
Rick
Granger:
"Jack Lumber earned every second of that celebration."
"And
don't overlook Abaddon."
"He
lost the championship tonight, but he walked out proving exactly why his reign
demanded everyone's respect."
As the
crowd continued its standing ovation, Abaddon slowly sat up on the opposite
side of the ring. He looked across at the new champion for several quiet
moments before pushing himself to his feet.
There was
no protest.
No
excuses.
No cheap
attack.
Abaddon
simply stared—an almost imperceptible acknowledgment of the man who had finally
defeated him—before stepping through the ropes and making the long walk back up
the entrance ramp. The fans applauded the former champion as he disappeared
behind the curtain, recognizing the performance he had delivered.
Inside the
ring, Jack finally climbed to his feet with the championship draped over his
shoulder. He slowly turned in a full circle, soaking in the deafening ovation
before climbing each turnbuckle to salute the crowd.
Sam
Duffy:
"I don't know if we'll ever see another match quite like that."
Rick
Granger:
"If that's the standard for the Convergent Championship..."
"...it's
become one of the most prestigious titles in professional wrestling."
Rather
than heading directly backstage, Jack looked toward the corner of the arena
that had followed him for years.
The Lumber
Lounge.
A smile
spread across his exhausted face.
With the
championship resting over his shoulder, Jack climbed out of the ring and made
his way through the aisle toward the packed section. Fans reached over the
barricades, eager for a handshake or a high-five from the new champion. Jack
took his time, embracing longtime supporters, posing for pictures, and raising
the championship high above his head as the Lumber Lounge erupted into chants
of...
"JACK!
JACK! JACK! JACK!"
The fans
were already reaching over the barricade before he arrived.
Jack took
his time.
He shook
hands with longtime supporters, embraced several fans who had followed his
journey from the very beginning, signed a young fan's homemade toy axe, and
paused to pose for countless photographs. One child wearing a faded Jack Lumber
t-shirt was lifted by his father to ringside, and Jack gently handed the
Convergent Championship to him for just a moment before helping him raise it
into the air. The section exploded with cheers as the child beamed from ear to
ear.
Around
them, homemade signs filled the air.
"TIMMMMMBEEERRRRR!"
"WELCOME
BACK, CHAMP!"
"LUMBER
LOUNGE FOREVER!"
Soon the
chants spread beyond the dedicated fan section.
What began
with a few dozen voices became hundreds.
Then
thousands.
The entire
Columbia Coliseum echoed with one unified chant.
"JACK!
JACK! JACK! JACK!"
Jack
climbed onto the ringside barricade directly in front of the Lumber Lounge,
balancing carefully as he looked out across the sea of cheering fans. With one
hand gripping the championship and the other resting over his heart, he slowly
lifted the Convergent Championship toward the ceiling.
The
ovation was deafening.
For nearly
a full minute, there was nothing else.
No
commentary.
No music.
Just
thousands of fans celebrating one of the most emotional championship victories
in HCW history.
When the
cheers finally settled enough to be heard, Sam Duffy spoke almost softly.
Sam
Duffy:
"I've been fortunate enough to call a lot of great moments in Heritage
Championship Wrestling."
"I
can honestly say this one will stay with me for a very long time."
Rick
Granger:
"Tonight we watched two warriors leave everything they had inside that
ring."
"One
walked out with the championship."
"But
both walked out as legends."
The
cameras pulled back to reveal the entire Columbia Coliseum still standing,
applauding as Jack remained atop the barricade with the Convergent Championship
held triumphantly overhead.
Sam
Duffy:
"For everyone here at Heritage Championship Wrestling, thank you for
spending your Sunday night with us."
"Congratulations
once again to the new Convergent Champion... Jack Lumber."
"We'll
see you next Saturday on HCW Live Wire."
Rick
Granger:
"Good night, everybody."
The final
image lingered on Jack and the Lumber Lounge celebrating together as the screen
slowly faded to black, bringing an unforgettable night of HCW Voltage to
a close.
