Hello
wrestling fans and welcome back to another installment of the HCW Wrestling
Newsletter!
The
cameras sweep across another sold-out Heritage Championship Wrestling arena as
thousands of fans are already on their feet. Spotlights dance throughout the
building while fireworks erupt from the Live Wire stage, sending bursts of
silver and crimson high above the packed crowd. Signs supporting their favorite
superstars fill every corner of the arena as anticipation reaches a fever
pitch.
The camera
circles the excited audience before settling at the broadcast position where Mike
"The Voice" Johnson and Johnny "The Hammer" Harris
welcome viewers to another edition of HCW Live Wire.
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to HCW Live Wire! What an incredible week
it has been for Heritage Championship Wrestling! Last Saturday's inaugural
Meltdown pay-per-view changed the landscape of this company from top to bottom,
and tonight we begin the journey toward Reign of Champions!"
A graphic
flashes across the Omegatron showing highlights from Meltdown.
- Cassius Onyx raising the
inaugural Meltdown Cup.
- Aurora Storm celebrating with the
Ladies Meltdown Cup.
- Iron Syndicate capturing the
Heritage Tag Team Championship.
- Abaddon standing tall with the
Convergent Championship.
- Dominic Marconi holding the HCW
World Championship high above his head.
- Terrible Herse celebrating his
Hardcore Championship victory.
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"History was made all over the place, Mike! New champions, new
opportunities, and if I'm anybody holding championship gold right now, I'm
sleeping with one eye open. Cassius Onyx and Aurora Storm are carrying
championship contracts that could change this company whenever they decide to
cash them in."
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"And that's just the beginning. Dominic Marconi begins his reign as HCW
World Heavyweight Champion after defeating Zack Brown in a tremendous display
of sportsmanship. Abaddon fulfilled Lilith's chilling prophecy by dethroning
Jack Lumber for the Convergent Championship, and the Iron Syndicate now stands
atop the Heritage Tag Team Division after ending Steel Justice's impressive
reign."
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"Don't forget the Hardcore Champion, Terrible Herse. He survived Meltdown
with the gold, and tonight he'll make his first championship defense in our
main event. Somehow I don't think he's losing much sleep over Ovaltine
Jackson."
A second
graphic appears, showcasing tonight's featured attractions.
Tonight
on Live Wire:
- Proving Grounds welcomes the
debut of RAM Shortage against Noah "High Flyer" Murphy.
- Biceps Bannerman addresses the
shocking post-match attack by inaugural Meltdown Cup winner Cassius Onyx.
- Joy Monroe battles Veronica
Flame.
- Dr. Red Fang takes on Rafael
Sandoval.
- Dorian Vire renews his rivalry
with Matches Malone.
- Main Event: Terrible Herse defends the HCW
Hardcore Championship against Ovaltine Jackson.
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"It's another tremendous night of action from top to bottom, and we're
going to kick things off with a brand-new competitor looking to make an
immediate impact here in Heritage Championship Wrestling."
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"First impressions matter, Mike. Everybody gets one chance to introduce
themselves to HCW, and RAM Shortage gets his opportunity right now. Noah Murphy
is about to find out whether this newcomer belongs—or whether he should've
stayed in Proving Grounds."
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"Let's head to the ring. It's time for our opening contest!"
The lights
throughout the arena dim before vibrant blue and white spotlights begin
sweeping across the audience.
An upbeat
rock anthem fills the building.
The crowd
responds warmly as Noah "High Flyer" Murphy bursts onto the
stage, slapping hands with fans lining both sides of the entrance ramp.
Wearing
his signature blue and white gear, Noah points toward the ring before jogging
the remainder of the ramp. Reaching ringside, he slides beneath the bottom rope
in one smooth motion before quickly springing to his feet. He climbs the
nearest turnbuckle and raises one arm high into the air as the fans applaud the
young high-flyer.
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"Noah Murphy has become one of the brightest young competitors to emerge
from Proving Grounds. Every time this young man steps into the ring, he leaves
everything he's got between those ropes."
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"He's exciting, Mike, I'll give him that. But excitement only gets you so
far. Tonight he's standing across the ring from a man nobody in HCW knows much
about, and sometimes that's the most dangerous opponent of all."
Noah hops
down from the turnbuckle and settles into his corner, keeping his eyes fixed on
the entrance.
The arena
suddenly goes black.
A deep
mechanical hum reverberates throughout the building.
Static
engulfs the Omegatron.
MEMORY
OVERLOAD
The
warning flashes across the giant screen before violently glitching away.
SYSTEM
ERROR
CRITICAL
FAILURE
The
messages flicker in rapid succession as red warning lights begin pulsing
throughout the arena.
Heavy
industrial music explodes through the speakers.
Smoke
pours across the entrance stage.
Several
long seconds pass.
Then...
A massive
silhouette slowly emerges through the haze.
R.A.M.
Shortage.
He stands
perfectly still beneath the crimson lights, his mechanical mask concealing any
hint of emotion. The glowing circuitry running across his gear gives him an
almost cybernetic appearance as he slowly scans the arena.
The fans
respond with a chorus of boos.
RAM
doesn't acknowledge them.
He slowly
tilts his head toward the ring.
Toward
Noah Murphy.
Then...
He begins
walking.
Every step
is slow.
Purposeful.
Predatory.
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"Well, here he is. One of the newest competitors to emerge from Proving
Grounds, and if first impressions count for anything, R.A.M. Shortage certainly
knows how to make one."
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"Forget the entrance, Mike. Look at his eyes. This guy isn't soaking in
the atmosphere—he's sizing up Noah Murphy like he's already decided how this
match is going to end."
RAM
reaches ringside and pauses.
He slowly
removes his mechanical mask.
Without
taking his eyes off Noah...
He drops
it on the ring apron.
The loud
metallic clang echoes throughout the arena.
He climbs
onto the apron before stepping over the top rope.
Once
inside, he walks directly to the center of the ring.
No posing.
No
theatrics.
He simply
stares across the ring at Noah Murphy.
Noah
refuses to back away.
The crowd
applauds the young fan favorite for standing his ground.
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"You have to admire Noah Murphy. He knows exactly what he's standing
across the ring from, and he's not giving an inch."
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"Or maybe he just doesn't know any better. Noah's got heart... but heart
doesn't help much when you're staring across the ring at nearly two hundred
eighty pounds of bad intentions."
Tony
"Echo" Calibur steps into the center of the ring.
Tony
"Echo" Calibur:
"Ladies and gentlemen... the following contest is scheduled for one
fall..."
"And
it is a Proving Grounds Match!"
"Introducing
first... from Dayton, Ohio... weighing in at 198 pounds... NOAH... 'HIGH
FLYER'... MURPHY!"
The crowd
cheers as Noah raises a hand to the fans.
Tony
gestures toward the opposite corner.
"And
his opponent..."
"Making
his HCW debut..."
"Weighing
in at 278 pounds..."
"R...A...M...
SHORTAGE!"
The boos
grow louder as RAM remains motionless, never taking his eyes off Noah while the
referee calls both competitors to the center of the ring for final
instructions.
A mixed
reaction comes from the crowd as RAM remains completely motionless, his eyes
locked on Noah while referee Honest Abe calls both men toward the center for
final instructions.
The
opening bell had barely sounded before R.A.M. Shortage exploded from his corner
with startling speed for a man his size. Noah Murphy barely had time to react
before the newcomer drove him nearly in half with a devastating RAMAGEDDON
Spear, sending the young high-flyer crashing violently to the canvas.
The
sold-out crowd gasped.
The
message was immediate.
R.A.M.
Shortage hadn't come to make friends.
He had
come to dominate.
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"What a way to introduce yourself! R.A.M. Shortage wasted absolutely no
time, and Noah Murphy is already trying to recover from that thunderous
spear!"
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"That's not nerves, Mike. That's intent. This guy walked into HCW looking
to hurt somebody."
Rather
than rush recklessly after the early advantage, RAM slowed everything down. His
movements were calculated, almost mechanical, as though every strike had
already been programmed before he stepped through the curtain. He hoisted Noah
high into the air and drove him backward with a crushing Data Spike,
leaving Murphy writhing on the mat while the newcomer stood over him without
the slightest hint of emotion.
Noah's
quickness finally created an opening. Ducking beneath a charging clothesline,
the fan favorite trapped RAM in a side headlock before frustrating the larger
man with constant movement. Every time RAM reached for him, Noah slipped away,
forcing the debuting powerhouse to reset.
Murphy
even escaped the crushing Buffering rear chin lock before firing back
with a sharp calf kick that brought the crowd to life.
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"That's the resilience we've come to expect from Noah Murphy! He refuses
to stay overwhelmed for long!"
RAM
answered with brute force.
A crushing
clothesline turned Noah inside out.
Moments
later another RAMAGEDDON Spear nearly folded Murphy in half once again
as the newcomer continued methodically dismantling his opponent.
The
punishment began adding up.
Still...
Noah
refused to quit.
A surprise
reversal on an early pin attempt nearly stole the match, sending the crowd into
an appreciative roar before Murphy followed with another crisp calf kick and a
beautiful German Suplex that briefly staggered the much larger newcomer.
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"I'll give the kid credit—he keeps finding answers. The problem is every
answer seems to make R.A.M. Shortage even meaner."
The
momentum continued swinging.
RAM
blasted Murphy with another crushing clothesline before Noah answered with a
thunderous powerbomb that shook the ring. Superkicks, knee lifts, and more calf
kicks kept the debuting powerhouse from ever becoming completely comfortable,
while Murphy's signature Murphy's Law brought the audience to its feet
as they sensed a possible upset brewing.
RAM kicked
out.
His
expression never changed.
He slowly
rose to one knee...
Then
stood.
As if
nothing had happened.
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"That's the first real adversity R.A.M. Shortage has faced tonight, and
somehow he looks completely unfazed!"
From that
moment on, the newcomer became even more relentless.
Another
crushing Data Spike nearly ended the contest before RAM methodically
wore Murphy down with the suffocating Buffering submission and a
devastating Overload body avalanche in the corner.
Noah
continued fighting.
Another
superkick staggered RAM.
Another
powerbomb rocked the giant.
The crowd
desperately tried to rally behind the courageous Murphy as the match entered
its closing minutes.
But every
comeback was met with overwhelming power.
RAM
crushed Noah with a vicious chop to the throat.
Murphy
somehow kicked out.
Another
chop.
Another
desperate escape.
The fans
applauded Noah's incredible determination.
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"How much more can Noah Murphy possibly withstand?"
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"As much as his heart wants, Mike... but eventually his body is going to
stop listening."
The end
came moments later.
Murphy
attempted one final rally, but RAM intercepted him in the center of the ring
with a thunderous clothesline that flattened the exhausted high-flyer.
RAM didn't
celebrate.
He simply
dropped to one knee and hooked the leg.
One...
Two...
Three.
The bell
rang.
Tony
"Echo" Calibur:
"Here is your winner... R.A.M. SHORTAGE!"
The crowd
responded with a mixture of boos and stunned silence as the imposing newcomer
slowly climbed to his feet.
He never
raised his arms.
Never
acknowledged the audience.
Instead,
he looked down at Noah Murphy for several long seconds before stepping over him
and making his way toward the ropes.
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"An impressive—and frankly intimidating—HCW debut for R.A.M. Shortage.
Noah Murphy showed tremendous heart throughout this contest, but tonight he
simply ran into a man who looked determined to make an unforgettable first
impression."
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"Forget first impressions. If this is what R.A.M. Shortage looks like on
his first night, the rest of Proving Grounds ought to be paying very close
attention. That wasn't a wrestling match... that was a system shutdown."
As R.A.M.
Shortage disappears behind the curtain, Noah Murphy slowly rises to his feet.
The crowd gives the courageous youngster a respectful round of applause as he
acknowledges the fans before making his way backstage.
After a
brief pause, the lights dim once again.
The
opening chords of "American Hero" blast through the arena.
The crowd
erupts.
BICEPS
BANNERMAN!
The
powerhouse strides confidently onto the stage to one of the loudest ovations of
the evening, slapping hands with fans along the entrance ramp before climbing
into the ring. He pauses on the second turnbuckle, flexing both arms as the
audience roars its approval.
He steps
back down and is handed a microphone.
The cheers
continue for several moments.
"BICEPS!
BICEPS! BICEPS!"
Biceps
smiles.
He nods
appreciatively before raising the microphone.
Biceps
Bannerman:
"You know... I spent the last week hearing everybody ask me the same
question."
"How're
you feeling?"
"Did
Cassius get the better of you?"
He pauses.
"Well..."
"My
jaw's a little sore..."
The crowd
chuckles.
"My
pride?"
"Not
so much."
Another
cheer.
"See...
at Meltdown... Cassius Onyx won the Meltdown Cup."
"Congratulations."
A polite
applause follows.
"He
earned that trophy."
"But
after the bell..."
"After
my hand was raised..."
"After
the match was over..."
His
expression hardens.
"That's
when Cassius decided he wanted another fight."
The crowd
boos.
"Cassius..."
"You
asked me one question."
"Who's
the stronger man?"
Biceps
slowly nods.
"You
asked the wrong question."
"Because
you didn't ask me while the bell was ringing..."
"You
asked me after the fight was over."
The crowd
applauds.
"If
you really want your answer..."
"Then
next time..."
"Ask
me while the referee is calling for the bell."
The arena
explodes.
Suddenly—
"Onyx
Rain"
hits.
The cheers
immediately turn to loud boos.
Cassius Onyx
walks onto the stage.
The
inaugural Meltdown Cup winner stands tall.
He isn't
dressed to wrestle.
He doesn't
rush the ring.
Instead...
He slowly
applauds.
A smug
grin spreads across his face.
Microphone
already in hand.
Cassius
Onyx:
"Bravo."
"Really."
"That's
exactly the speech I'd expect from a man trying to convince himself he wasn't
embarrassed."
The boos
grow louder.
"You
keep talking about what happened after the bell."
"Funny..."
"I
don't hear anybody talking about what happened before it."
"They
remember this."
"History
remembers winners."
"History
forgets excuses."
Biceps
leans against the ropes.
Never
taking his eyes off Cassius.
Biceps
Bannerman:
"Then make some history."
"Get
in this ring."
The crowd
erupts.
Cassius
chuckles.
He slowly
shakes his head.
"No."
The boos
rain down.
"See..."
"Unlike
you..."
"I
already proved what I needed to prove."
"You'll
get your chance."
"Just
not tonight."
Cassius
smiles one last time.
"Try
not to get blindsided on your way to the parking lot."
He lowers
the microphone and calmly turns toward the backstage area.
The crowd
showers him with boos.
Inside the
ring...
Biceps
never flinches.
Never
loses his composure.
Instead...
He raises
the microphone one final time.
Biceps
Bannerman:
"Run while you can..."
"Because
eventually..."
"There
won't be another parking lot."
"There'll
just be a ring."
"And
nowhere left to hide."
The
audience explodes into cheers as Biceps drops the microphone to the canvas.
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"Cassius Onyx may have won the first battle after Meltdown, but something
tells me this rivalry is just getting started."
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"Cassius didn't back down, Mike—he just picked his moment. These two are
on a collision course, and when it finally happens, I don't think security will
be able to keep them apart."
The arena
lights dim as a confident rock anthem fills the building.
Boos
immediately begin echoing throughout the arena.
The giant
Omegatron flashes with images of championships, victories, and newspaper
headlines celebrating past accomplishments before settling on one phrase.
"EXPERIENCE
NEVER GOES OUT OF STYLE."
The
Dynamic Duo step onto the stage together.
Dressed in
matching black-and-silver gear, the veteran tandem carries themselves with
complete confidence. They don't acknowledge the fans' reaction, instead
exchanging a knowing glance before beginning their deliberate walk toward the
ring.
Every step
projects the attitude of two competitors who believe they've already proven
everything there is to prove.
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"The Dynamic Duo has enjoyed tremendous success throughout their careers,
but over the past several months they've developed a noticeably different
attitude. The confidence that once made them fan favorites has slowly turned
into arrogance."
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"Arrogance? I call it honesty. These two have forgotten more about tag
team wrestling than most teams will ever learn. If these fans don't appreciate
greatness, that's their problem."
As they
reach ringside, both men pause.
They
slowly look over the crowd with expressions that border on amusement before
climbing onto opposite sides of the apron.
Stepping
through the ropes simultaneously, they meet in the center of the ring and
casually survey the arena, completely ignoring the chorus of boos raining down
upon them.
The lights
suddenly shift to brilliant red, white, and blue.
A
patriotic rock anthem explodes through the speakers.
The mood
inside the arena changes instantly.
The crowd
leaps to its feet.
THE
FREEDOM FIGHTERS!
Freedom
Fighter Flash bursts through the curtain first, pumping both fists high into
the air before pointing toward the cheering fans.
Moments
later, Freedom Fighter Justice joins him at center stage, raising one arm
toward the crowd as the ovation grows even louder.
The
partners exchange a quick fist bump before beginning their energetic march
toward the ring, slapping hands with fans lining both sides of the entrance
ramp.
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"Listen to this ovation! No matter where they compete, the Freedom
Fighters always seem to bring out the patriotic spirit of the HCW
faithful."
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"They're certainly popular, but popularity doesn't win tag team matches.
Across the ring are two veterans who know every trick in the book."
Flash
climbs onto the apron and vaults over the top rope while Justice circles the
ring before stepping inside.
The
partners meet in the center of the ring, bump fists once more, then turn their
attention toward their opponents.
The crowd
responds with another tremendous ovation as both teams prepare for the opening
bell.
The
opening bell had barely sounded before both teams demonstrated exactly why they
were among the most experienced tandems in HCW.
Freedom
Fighter Flash and Chris "Thunderstrike" Thompson met in the center of
the ring, immediately trading momentum. Flash used his athleticism to catch
Thompson with Angel's Wings, but Thompson answered with a powerful
bodyslam that reminded everyone why the Dynamic Duo had become so dangerous
since embracing their darker attitude.
Matthews
wasted little time entering the match, stomping away at Flash before slowing
the pace to his liking.
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"The Dynamic Duo has always prided themselves on fundamentals, and right
now they're doing an excellent job of keeping Flash isolated."
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"They're making him wrestle their match, Mike. Veterans don't panic—they
dissect you."
Flash
weathered the early assault before creating just enough separation to bring
Freedom Fighter Justice into the contest.
What
followed was a showcase of teamwork.
The
Freedom Fighters repeatedly cut the ring in half, making quick tags and forcing
the referee to restore order as both partners found opportunities to work
together. Justice blasted Thompson with a stiff elbow smash before Flash
followed with a spectacular standing shooting star press that brought the crowd
to its feet.
The
momentum had shifted.
The
audience roared as the Freedom Fighters strung together another series of
tandem attacks, keeping Thompson trapped in enemy territory while Justice
systematically cut off every escape route.
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"This is textbook tag team wrestling! Quick tags, fresh competitors, and
constant pressure!"
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"They're pushing the limits of that five-count, Mike, and they know
it!"
The
veterans eventually weathered the storm.
Matthews
slowed the pace with punishing face stomps and elbow smashes while Thompson
repeatedly rocked Flash with devastating superkicks whenever an opening
presented itself. The Dynamic Duo's experience began showing as they finally
turned the tables, trapping Flash in their own corner and returning the favor
with several well-timed double-team combinations.
Flash
refused to stay down.
He
exploded back into the match with a breathtaking 630 Senton Bomb,
drawing a thunderous ovation before battling through a series of shoulder
breakers and neckbreakers from Matthews.
The
Dynamic Duo came within inches of stealing the victory when Matthews hooked
Flash's leg after a crushing shoulder breaker.
One...
Two...
Justice
dove across the ring at the last possible instant, breaking up the pin to
another huge ovation.
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"Freedom Fighter Justice just saved this match for his team!"
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"That's what partners are for, Mike. One second later and this one
would've been over."
The near
fall energized the Freedom Fighters.
Flash
battled free from Thompson's grasp before once again bringing Justice into the
action. Together they overwhelmed Thompson with another flurry of crisp tandem
offense, leaving the Dynamic Duo scrambling to regain control.
With
Thompson visibly worn down, Flash seized the opportunity.
As
Thompson staggered toward the center of the ring, Flash scooped him up and
planted him with a thunderous Over the Shoulder Neckbreaker Drop.
Flash
immediately hooked the leg.
One...
Two...
Three!
The crowd
erupted.
The
referee called for the bell as the Freedom Fighters embraced in celebration.
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"What a tremendous tag team victory! The Freedom Fighters weathered
everything the Dynamic Duo threw at them tonight and proved that chemistry can
overcome experience."
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"I'll admit it—they earned this one. The Dynamic Duo had their chances,
but every time they got close, the Freedom Fighters answered with teamwork.
That's what made the difference tonight."
The
Freedom Fighters climbed opposite turnbuckles, saluting the cheering fans as
the Dynamic Duo regrouped outside the ring, clearly frustrated after letting a
hard-fought contest slip away.
The camera
cuts backstage where Candace Hart is standing in front of an HCW Live Wire
backdrop. Beside her stands the imposing R.A.M. Shortage. Fresh off his
successful debut, the towering newcomer has already replaced his mechanical
mask, concealing his face behind the cold, expressionless design. His arms
remain folded across his chest as he stares straight ahead, never acknowledging
Candace or the camera.
Candace
Hart:
"Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the newest member of Proving
Grounds... R.A.M. Shortage."
The crowd
watching on the arena screens responds with a chorus of boos.
Candace
Hart:
"Moments ago, you made an impressive debut by defeating Noah 'High Flyer'
Murphy. The HCW fans have now had their first opportunity to see what you're
capable of. What message were you hoping to send tonight?"
Several
uncomfortable seconds pass.
RAM
doesn't move.
He doesn't
even turn toward Candace.
Finally...
R.A.M.
Shortage:
"Message..."
A pause.
"Received."
Candace
blinks, waiting for more.
Candace
Hart:
"You've obviously spent a long time preparing for this opportunity. Is
there anyone in Proving Grounds—or even HCW itself—that you're targeting
next?"
RAM slowly
turns his masked head toward Candace.
The
movement is deliberate...
Almost
mechanical.
R.A.M.
Shortage:
"Target..."
"Everyone."
Another
long silence.
Candace
Hart:
"Can you elaborate on what you mean by that?"
RAM takes
one slow step toward the camera.
His voice
never rises.
It never
changes inflection.
R.A.M.
Shortage:
"Every roster..."
"Has..."
"Corrupted
files."
"I..."
"Delete..."
"Corruption."
Candace
tries once more.
Candace
Hart:
"Does that mean you're issuing a challenge to the entire locker
room?"
RAM slowly
tilts his head.
R.A.M.
Shortage:
"Challenge..."
"No."
"Warning."
Without
another word, he walks past Candace and disappears down the hallway.
Candace
watches him leave before turning back toward the camera.
Candace
Hart:
"Well... I don't think we're going to get much more out of him than that.
R.A.M. Shortage has arrived in HCW, and judging by his performance tonight, he
intends to make a lasting impression."
The camera
fades back to ringside.
The arena
lights soften as an uplifting pop-rock anthem fills the building.
The crowd
immediately rises to its feet.
JOY
MONROE!
Joy bursts
through the curtain with her trademark smile, waving enthusiastically to the
fans before skipping toward center stage. She pauses for a moment to soak in
the ovation before pointing toward several young fans holding homemade signs in
the front rows.
She jogs
down the entrance ramp, exchanging high-fives along both sides before circling
the ring.
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"Joy Monroe has quickly become one of the most beloved competitors in the
HCW Women's Division. You won't find many superstars who enjoy being in front
of these fans more than Joy."
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"She's certainly got the crowd behind her, Mike. Let's just hope that
enthusiasm translates into victories. Smiles don't count on the
scorecards."
Joy slides
beneath the bottom rope before hopping to her feet. She climbs the nearest
turnbuckle and throws both arms high into the air, drawing another loud ovation
before dropping back to the canvas and stretching in her corner.
The arena
suddenly darkens.
Golden
spotlights sweep across the entrance stage as a driving rock anthem echoes
through the speakers.
Boos
immediately rain down.
VERONICA
FLAME!
Veronica
confidently walks onto the stage wearing a smug grin, dressed in striking
crimson-and-black ring gear. She pauses beneath the lights, looking out over
the disapproving crowd as if their reaction is beneath her concern.
A few
steps behind her is Julian Furnace, impeccably dressed in a tailored
suit. His expression is one of complete confidence as he gestures toward
Veronica with both hands, proudly presenting her as the centerpiece of Hot
Stuff Inc.
Veronica
smirks before beginning the walk to the ring, never once acknowledging the fans
shouting insults in her direction.
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"Veronica Flame remains one of the fastest-rising competitors in the
women's division, and with Julian Furnace constantly in her corner, she carries
herself with tremendous confidence."
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"Confidence? I'd call it justified. Julian Furnace has built Hot Stuff
Inc. around one simple idea—winning. Veronica has all the talent in the world,
and having a strategist like Furnace at ringside is only going to make her more
dangerous."
Julian
climbs the ring steps first, holding the ropes open as Veronica gracefully
steps into the ring.
She slowly
removes her entrance jacket before handing it to Julian without taking her eyes
off Joy Monroe.
Julian
offers a few final words of encouragement from ringside while Veronica
confidently backs into her corner.
Across the
ring, Joy Monroe bounces lightly on the balls of her feet, eager for the
opening bell as the crowd claps rhythmically in support.
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"This should be an outstanding matchup. Joy Monroe's energy and
athleticism against Veronica Flame's confidence and technical ability."
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"And don't forget the wildcard standing outside the ring. Julian Furnace
always seems to know exactly when to involve himself—without technically
crossing the line."
The
referee checks with both competitors before signaling for the opening bell.
The match
began before Joy Monroe could even settle into a rhythm.
As Joy
rebounded off the ropes during the opening exchange, Julian Furnace
discreetly stepped onto the apron, reaching out with an old-fashioned cellular
phone and striking Joy across the back of the shoulder while the referee's
attention was elsewhere.
The crowd
erupted with boos.
Veronica
wasted no time capitalizing, quickly taking control of the stunned Joy.
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"Come on! We barely got started and Julian Furnace is already inserting
himself into this match!"
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"He didn't insert himself, Mike. He simply reminded Veronica to stay
focused."
Veronica
continued pressing the advantage, repeatedly cutting Joy off before she could
build any momentum. Every opening Joy created seemed to disappear as Julian
found another subtle way to influence the action, including tripping Joy
against the ropes and creating just enough distraction for Veronica to stay one
step ahead.
Despite
the constant interference, Joy refused to stay down.
She
answered with a thunderous Twisting Samoan Drop, followed moments later
by the devastating Babe Bomb Gutwrench Powerbomb, drawing a huge ovation
from the HCW faithful.
Veronica
responded with an impressive diving crossbody before the two competitors
settled into a spirited back-and-forth exchange.
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"What a tremendous matchup! Joy Monroe keeps fighting through every
obstacle Julian Furnace puts in front of her."
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"That's called having a manager, Mike. Julian is doing exactly what he's
paid to do."
The pace
continued escalating.
Joy rocked
Veronica with an Ushigoroshi.
Veronica
answered with a gutwrench suplex.
Joy landed
a step-up enzuigiri.
Veronica
fired back with a running kneeling mat slam.
Neither
woman could establish lasting control as the crowd became more invested with
each passing minute.
Then...
Julian
struck again.
With the
referee momentarily occupied, he blasted Joy with the same old cell phone a
second time.
The crowd
erupted with angry boos.
Veronica
immediately covered.
One...
Two...
Joy kicked
out!
The arena
exploded.
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"Joy Monroe will not stay down! Even with Julian Furnace tipping the
scales, she's still in this fight!"
The failed
pin seemed to frustrate Veronica more than anything.
As the
match entered its closing stretch, Joy began feeding off the crowd's energy.
A crisp
Fisherman's Suplex.
A
perfectly executed senton.
Another
senton.
Then an
Ushigoroshi that nearly ended the contest.
Veronica
somehow survived.
Joy
continued pouring on the offense, connecting with a cartwheel superkick that
earned a very close two-count before Veronica barely managed to get a shoulder
off the canvas.
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"Veronica's hanging on by a thread, but champions—and future
champions—know how to survive."
The final
moments came quickly.
Veronica
attempted one more diving attack, but Joy sidestepped the impact.
As
Veronica stumbled back to her feet, Joy exploded forward.
Cartwheel...
SUPERKICK!
The kick
landed flush.
Veronica
crumpled to the canvas.
Joy
immediately hooked both legs.
One...
Two...
Three!
The crowd
erupted as the referee called for the bell.
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"She did it! Joy Monroe overcomes Veronica Flame and the constant
interference from Julian Furnace to earn a huge victory!"
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"I can't believe Veronica let this one slip away. Julian gave her every
opportunity, but Joy Monroe simply refused to quit."
Joy
climbed the nearest turnbuckle, celebrating with the cheering fans as Julian
slid into the ring to check on Veronica.
The
frustrated Veronica slapped the mat before allowing Julian to help her to her
feet.
As they
exited the ring, Veronica cast one final glare back toward Joy Monroe, who
continued celebrating one of her biggest victories in recent weeks while the
HCW faithful applauded her resilience.
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"Still to come, Dr. Red Fang takes on Rafael Sandoval, Dorian Vire renews
his rivalry with Matches Malone, and in our main event, Terrible Herse defends
the HCW Hardcore Championship against Ovaltine Jackson."
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"But before we get there, one man has championship gold on his mind.
Earlier this week, General Manager Max McGillicutty made it official that Zack
Brown will receive his rematch against HCW World Champion Dominic Marconi at
Reign of Champions. Right now, Candace Hart is standing by with the former
champion."
The camera
cuts backstage to Candace Hart, who is standing alongside Zack Brown.
The camera
cuts backstage where Candace Hart stands beside former HCW World Champion Zack
Brown. Dressed in jeans and a black t-shirt, Zack receives a warm ovation from the
live crowd as he smiles and nods toward the camera.
Candace
Hart:
"Zack, thank you for joining us. Last week on Voltage, General Manager Max
McGillicutty officially announced that you will receive your HCW World
Championship rematch against Dominic Marconi at Reign of Champions."
"At
Meltdown, you and Dominic competed in what many are already calling one of the
greatest World Championship matches in HCW history. You came up short, but
afterward you embraced the new champion in a tremendous show of respect."
"Now
that the rematch is official, what's going through your mind?"
Zack takes
a deep breath before answering.
Zack
Brown:
"First... congratulations again to Dominic."
"I've
watched that match back more than once this week."
"I
made mistakes."
"Dominic
didn't."
"That's
why he's carrying the championship today."
The crowd
applauds.
Zack
Brown:
"People have asked me if losing the title changed how I look at this
business."
"Not
even a little."
"If
anything..."
"It
reminded me why I love it."
"Because
on one night..."
"The
better man won."
Another
respectful round of applause breaks out.
Zack
Brown:
"But here's the thing..."
"Max
McGillicutty made the rematch official."
"Tonight..."
"I'm
making it personal."
Zack looks
directly into the camera.
Zack
Brown:
"Dominic..."
"At
Reign of Champions..."
"I'm
invoking my rematch."
"Not
because I deserve a second chance."
"Because
I earned one."
"And
when that bell rings..."
"I'm
going to do everything I can to become a two-time HCW World Champion."
He smiles
slightly.
Zack
Brown:
"You earned my respect at Meltdown."
"Now..."
"Let's
find out if you can earn it again."
Candace
nods.
Candace
Hart:
"Zack Brown, thank you for your time. Ladies and gentlemen, the HCW World
Championship rematch is officially set for Reign of Champions as Zack Brown
looks to reclaim the title from Dominic Marconi."
Zack nods
toward the camera before walking out of frame, leaving Candace to send us to a
commercial.
The camera
returns to ringside where Mike Johnson and Johnny Harris are seated at the
commentary desk.
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"Welcome back to Live Wire, everyone. Reign of Champions is beginning to
take shape, and if Zack Brown's comments are any indication, he's more
motivated than ever to reclaim the HCW World Championship."
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"That's the attitude you'd expect from a former champion, Mike. Respect is
one thing... but once that bell rings, all that matters is who's holding the
gold when it's over."
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"We've still got plenty of action to come tonight, including Dorian Vire
taking on Matches Malone in our semi-main event, and later, Terrible Herse
makes his first defense of the HCW Hardcore Championship."
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"But first, we're about to see one of the most dangerous men in Heritage
Championship Wrestling. Dr. Red Fang has been on an absolute tear, and I don't
envy Rafael Sandoval one bit."
A spirited
Latin rock theme fills the arena as the fans begin clapping along.
RAFAEL
SANDOVAL!
Rafael
bursts through the curtain with a wide smile, raising both arms to acknowledge
the cheering crowd before pointing toward the ring. He jogs down the entrance
ramp, slapping hands with fans along the barricade before sliding smoothly
beneath the bottom rope.
Rafael
quickly hops to his feet and climbs the nearest turnbuckle, raising a fist high
into the air as the audience responds with another warm ovation.
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"Rafael Sandoval has become one of the hardest-working competitors on the
HCW roster. Every opportunity he gets, he gives the fans everything he
has."
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"He's going to need more than heart tonight. Across the ring is a man who
enjoys inflicting pain almost as much as he enjoys winning."
Rafael
drops from the turnbuckle and begins loosening up in his corner.
Without
warning...
The arena
lights snap to black.
A
blood-red spotlight illuminates the entrance stage.
Then the
public address system suddenly crackles to life.
"VAMPIRE
LUNGES FOR EVERYBODY!"
The
bizarre announcement echoes throughout the arena.
A
heartbeat later...
It
repeats.
"VAMPIRE
LUNGES FOR EVERYBODY!"
The fans
erupt into loud boos.
A sinister
orchestral theme begins playing as thick crimson fog rolls across the stage.
Emerging
slowly through the haze is The Ambassador, dressed in his impeccable
dark suit and carrying his ornate walking cane.
He pauses.
Smiles.
Then
gestures toward the curtain.
Out
steps...
DR. RED
FANG.
The
towering monster moves with deliberate purpose, his crimson-and-black attire
accented by the eerie red lighting surrounding him. He never acknowledges the
hostile crowd, keeping his eyes locked firmly on Rafael Sandoval inside the
ring.
The
Ambassador walks a half-step behind, quietly admiring the destruction he
clearly expects his charge to unleash.
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"There is something deeply unsettling about Dr. Red Fang. Every time we
see him, he appears even more focused... even more dangerous."
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"Focus? I'd call it perfection. Look at him, Mike. No wasted motion. No
distractions. Rafael Sandoval isn't looking at a wrestler... he's looking at a
predator."
Dr. Red
Fang reaches ringside and slowly ascends the steel steps.
The
Ambassador remains outside, offering one final approving nod.
Dr. Red
Fang steps over the top rope and enters the ring without ever taking his eyes
off Sandoval.
Rafael
stands his ground from across the ring.
The
referee checks with both competitors.
After
receiving confirmation from each corner...
The
official signals for the opening bell.
The
opening bell had barely sounded before Dr. Red Fang surged forward,
overwhelming Rafael Sandoval with frightening intensity. The monstrous
competitor caught Sandoval flush with a crushing Skull Crusher,
immediately forcing the fan favorite onto the defensive.
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"An explosive start by Dr. Red Fang! Rafael Sandoval hasn't even had an
opportunity to establish himself!"
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"That's because Dr. Red Fang doesn't believe in feeling out his opponents,
Mike. He believes in ending them."
As
Sandoval struggled back to his feet, The Ambassador quietly circled the outside
of the ring.
The
referee's attention drifted for only a moment.
It was all
the opening he needed.
The
Ambassador reached through the ropes and viciously raked Sandoval across the
eyes.
The crowd
erupted with boos.
Blinded
and clutching his face, Sandoval stumbled directly into the waiting Dr. Red
Fang.
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"Oh, come on! The Ambassador just gouged Rafael's eyes! This match is only
minutes old!"
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"You call it cheating... I call it taking advantage of an
opportunity."
Despite
the underhanded tactics, Sandoval refused to back down.
He
answered with a perfectly timed superkick that snapped Dr. Red Fang's head
backward before following with a powerful buckle bomb that shook the ring and
brought the crowd to life.
For a
brief moment...
It
appeared the momentum had shifted.
But once
again, The Ambassador inserted himself into the contest.
Another
well-timed distraction.
Another
eye gouge.
Another
opening.
Dr. Red
Fang never hesitated.
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"Every time Rafael starts building momentum, The Ambassador finds another
way to stop him!"
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"That's why he's called 'The Ambassador.' He's representing his client...
very effectively, I might add."
Sandoval
could barely see.
Dr. Red
Fang could sense it.
The
monster stalked his wounded opponent before driving him into the canvas with
another devastating Skull Crusher.
Instead of
immediately going for the cover, Red Fang stood over Sandoval for a brief
moment, almost admiring the damage he had inflicted.
Then...
He hooked
the leg.
One...
Two...
Three!
The bell
rang.
Dr. Red
Fang slowly rose to his feet as The Ambassador entered the ring wearing a
satisfied smile.
The pair
never celebrated.
They
simply looked down at the fallen Sandoval as though another successful mission
had been completed.
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"A dominant victory for Dr. Red Fang, but once again, you have to question
just how much The Ambassador's involvement affected the outcome."
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"Question it all you want, Mike. The record books won't mention eye
gouges. They'll simply say Dr. Red Fang won in six minutes, and that's exactly
what happened."
As medical
personnel checked on Rafael Sandoval, Dr. Red Fang stepped over the top rope
and calmly exited the ring.
The
Ambassador followed close behind, the two disappearing backstage while the
eerie announcement echoed through the arena one final time.
"VAMPIRE
LUNGES FOR EVERYBODY!"
The crowd
responded with another chorus of boos as the unsettling duo disappeared behind
the curtain.
The camera
cuts backstage where Candace Hart stands in front of the HCW Live Wire
backdrop.
Beside her
is the imposing figure of Dorian Vire, dressed for competition with an
emotionless expression etched across his face.
Standing
slightly in front of him is his manager, Lazarus Blackstar. Wearing a
black jacket, Lazarus clasps his hands behind his back, wearing a calm smile
that somehow feels more unsettling than threatening.
Candace
Hart:
"Ladies and gentlemen, my guests at this time... Dorian Vire and his
manager, Lazarus Blackstar."
"Gentlemen,
on the last episode of Shockwave, Dorian was disqualified after your
involvement at ringside, Lazarus. Following the match, Dorian launched a
vicious assault on Matches Malone, prompting General Manager Max McGillicutty
to immediately sanction tonight's rematch."
"Lazarus...
after everything that happened last week, what are your thoughts heading into
tonight?"
Lazarus
closes his eyes for a brief moment before slowly opening them.
Lazarus
Blackstar:
"Miss Hart..."
"There
are victories..."
"And
there are..."
"Technicalities."
A slight
smile forms.
"Mr.
Malone received the latter."
"The
official record may claim he won..."
"But
records..."
"Cannot
measure fear."
"When
the referee called for the bell..."
"Mr.
Malone was still lying at Dorian's feet."
"That..."
"Is
the only truth that matters."
Candace
turns toward Dorian.
Candace
Hart:
"Dorian... Matches Malone says he isn't intimidated by what happened after
the match. In fact, he believes tonight is his opportunity to prove that last
week's disqualification wasn't a fluke."
Dorian
slowly raises his head.
His cold
stare meets the camera.
Dorian
Vire:
"Last week..."
"He
escaped."
A long
pause.
"Tonight..."
"There..."
"Is..."
"No..."
"Escape."
The
silence is uncomfortable.
Candace
glances back toward Lazarus.
Candace
Hart:
"Lazarus... should Matches Malone be expecting another attack if things
don't go Dorian's way tonight?"
Lazarus
quietly chuckles.
Not
mocking.
Almost...
sympathetic.
Lazarus
Blackstar:
"Miss Hart..."
"You
misunderstand."
"Last
week's events..."
"Were
not an attack."
"They
were..."
"An
introduction."
"Tonight..."
"Mr.
Malone has been granted the privilege..."
"Of
meeting Dorian Vire..."
"Properly."
Lazarus
turns toward Dorian and gestures toward the Gorilla Position.
Lazarus
Blackstar:
"Shall we?"
Without
saying another word, Dorian turns and begins walking down the hallway.
Lazarus
follows a step behind before briefly looking back toward the camera.
A knowing
smile crosses his face.
Then he
disappears around the corner.
Candace
Hart:
"Last week's encounter certainly left no love lost between these two
competitors. Up next... Dorian Vire and Matches Malone meet once again, and
after everything that's happened, this one has become intensely personal."
The camera
fades back to ringside.
The arena
lights slowly fade until only a dim silver glow remains.
A low
choir begins chanting as wisps of smoke drift across the entrance stage.
Then...
A single
spotlight illuminates the curtain.
Lazarus
Blackstar
steps into view.
Dressed in
his signature tailored black suit, he surveys the crowd with a calm, almost
amused expression. The chorus of boos rolling through the arena doesn't seem to
affect him in the slightest.
He slowly
extends one hand toward the curtain behind him.
Several
seconds pass.
Then...
Dorian
Vire emerges.
His
expression is cold.
Emotionless.
He walks
with unwavering purpose, never acknowledging the hostile crowd. His eyes remain
fixed squarely on the ring as Lazarus follows half a step behind, occasionally
whispering words that only Dorian can hear.
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"Ever since aligning himself with Lazarus Blackstar, Dorian Vire has
become one of the most unsettling competitors in HCW. There's almost no
emotion... just purpose."
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"That's because Lazarus has stripped away every distraction. Dorian isn't
interested in entertaining these fans. He's interested in proving exactly what
Lazarus has been saying—that what happened last week was nothing more than a
technicality."
Reaching
ringside, Lazarus walks to the apron but stops.
He motions
toward the ring.
Dorian
climbs the steel steps alone before stepping over the top rope without taking
his eyes off the opposite entrance.
Lazarus
remains outside, folding his hands behind his back as a confident smile slowly
spreads across his face.
The arena
suddenly erupts.
A
hard-driving rock anthem blasts through the speakers.
MATCHES
MALONE!
The crowd
leaps to its feet as Matches bursts through the curtain, feeding off the
ovation after everything that transpired on Voltage.
He points
toward the ring.
Then
directly at Dorian.
The two
lock eyes from opposite ends of the arena.
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"Listen to this reaction! Matches Malone has made it perfectly clear that
he isn't intimidated by Dorian Vire or Lazarus Blackstar."
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"Maybe not, but he'd better be prepared. Last week ended in chaos, and
after what happened once the bell rang, you know Dorian has been waiting all
week to finish what he started."
Matches
wastes little time making his way to the ring, slapping hands with fans before
circling the ring with his eyes never leaving Dorian.
He climbs
onto the apron and steps through the ropes.
Immediately...
He walks
toward the center of the ring.
Dorian
does the same.
The
referee quickly steps between them as the crowd buzzes with anticipation.
Neither
man says a word.
Neither
man backs away.
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"There is no love lost between these two after last week's controversial
ending. Forget wins and losses—this has become personal."
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"And that's exactly the kind of match I like. No speeches... no
theatrics... just two men who genuinely want to settle a score."
The
referee escorts both competitors back to their respective corners before
signaling for the opening bell.
The
tension that had been building all night exploded the moment the opening bell
sounded.
Matches
Malone wasted no time charging across the ring, catching Dorian Vire completely
off guard with a thunderous chokeslam that rattled the canvas and immediately
brought the crowd to its feet.
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"What a statement by Matches Malone! After everything that happened on
Voltage, he came here looking for payback!"
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"That's one way to start a fight, Mike!"
Dorian
rolled toward the ropes, shaking off the early assault before methodically
slowing the pace. As Matches pressed forward, Dorian suddenly trapped him in
the suffocating Silence Kata Gatame, wrenching back with relentless
pressure.
The arena
grew noticeably quieter as Matches fought desperately to avoid submission.
He clawed
toward the ropes.
Twisted
his hips.
Finally...
He broke
free.
The crowd
applauded the escape.
Dorian
simply stood.
Watching.
Waiting.
The pace
quickened from there as both men traded heavy offense.
Matches
drove Dorian repeatedly into the turnbuckles before connecting with a spinning
punch combination that staggered the Distortion.
But every
time Matches seemed ready to seize complete control...
Lazarus
Blackstar quietly inserted himself into the equation.
Not
physically.
Mentally.
Standing
outside the ring, Lazarus calmly observed every movement before repeatedly
warning Dorian of what was coming next.
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"Lazarus isn't laying a hand on anyone tonight, but he keeps anticipating
Matches' offense!"
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"That's why he calls it 'Nothing is Random.' He's always three moves
ahead."
Twice,
Matches attempted to put the contest away.
Twice...
Lazarus
calmly spoke to Dorian.
Twice...
Dorian
narrowly escaped disaster.
Frustration
began creeping onto Matches' face.
Dorian
capitalized.
A crushing
belly-to-back suplex followed by a leg drop swung the momentum squarely back in
his favor before the two competitors resumed exchanging punishing blows in the
center of the ring.
Neither
man would stay down.
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"This is exactly what you'd expect from two competitors who genuinely
don't like one another!"
Matches
continued pressing forward.
An
overhead smash.
A sleeper
hold.
A flick of
matchsticks to the eyes.
An elbow
drop.
Even
throwing Dorian completely through the ropes to the arena floor.
Each
time...
Dorian
answered.
Each
time...
He refused
to stay down.
The crowd
sensed the finish approaching.
Matches
launched one final offensive, sending Dorian tumbling outside the ring before
trying to catch his breath.
The
referee immediately began the count.
One...
Two...
Three...
Four...
Five...
At the
count of six...
Dorian
slid back into the ring.
Matches
rushed toward him.
Dorian
exploded.
SUPERKICK!
The impact
landed flush against Matches' jaw.
He
collapsed instantly.
Without
hesitation...
Dorian
dropped into the cover.
One...
Two...
Three!
The bell
rang.
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"He got him! Dorian Vire steals the victory with one perfectly timed
superkick!"
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"That's all it takes! Matches Malone controlled large portions of this
fight, but Dorian found one opening—and that was the end of it!"
Dorian
slowly rose to his feet.
Lazarus
entered the ring wearing the faintest of smiles.
He didn't
celebrate.
Instead,
he simply raised Dorian's arm before leaning close and whispering something
into his ear.
The two
stood over the fallen Matches Malone for several moments before quietly exiting
the ring together, leaving Matches to recover as the crowd offered him an
appreciative ovation for another gritty performance.
The camera
transitions backstage where Candace Hart stands beside the HCW Hardcore
Champion.
The camera
cuts backstage where Candace Hart stands beside the HCW Hardcore Champion, Terrible
Herse.
The
Hardcore Championship rests across Herse's shoulder. His head is lowered, one
gloved hand slowly tracing the edge of the championship plate.
Candace
Hart:
"Ladies and gentlemen, my guest at this time is the HCW Hardcore
Champion... Terrible Herse."
"Terrible,
congratulations on capturing the Hardcore Championship at Meltdown. In just a
few moments, you'll defend that title for the very first time against Ovaltine
Jackson. What does your challenger need to know before he steps into the ring?"
Terrible
remains silent for a moment.
A slow
smile creeps across his face before he finally speaks.
Terrible
Herse:
"People keep asking what kind of champion I'm going to be..."
"The
answer is simple."
"I'm
the kind that sends people home... differently than they arrived."
Candace
shifts uneasily.
Candace
Hart:
"Ovaltine Jackson has made it clear he sees tonight as the opportunity of
a lifetime."
"Do
you think he's overlooking what it means to challenge for the Hardcore
Championship?"
Terrible
lets out a soft, unsettling chuckle.
Terrible
Herse:
"Opportunity..."
"That's
a comforting word."
"Makes
people believe something good is waiting for them."
"For
Ovaltine..."
"There
won't be opportunity."
"There
will be consequences."
He slowly
lifts the championship from his shoulder.
Terrible
Herse:
"This title isn't a reward."
"It's
a warning."
"Every
man who comes after it leaves with another scar... another reminder..."
"That
some things are worth more than victory."
He stares
directly into the camera.
Terrible
Herse:
"Ovaltine..."
"I
hope you understand what you're asking for."
"Because
once that bell rings..."
"I'm
going to give it to you."
Terrible
lowers the championship back onto his shoulder.
A faint
smile returns.
Terrible
Herse:
"And when it's over..."
"You'll
wish I'd said no."
Without
another word, the Hardcore Champion slowly walks away, disappearing down the
hallway.
Candace
watches him leave before looking back toward the camera.
Candace
Hart:
"The Hardcore Champion appears more confident than ever heading into his
first title defense. We'll find out if Ovaltine Jackson can overcome that
confidence when our main event begins... next."
The camera
returns to ringside.
The
atmosphere inside the arena has noticeably changed.
A graphic
fills the Omegatron.
MAIN
EVENT
CAPITAL
CHAOS RULES
HCW
HARDCORE CHAMPIONSHIP
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"It is time for our main event! The Hardcore Championship is on the line,
and under Capital Chaos Rules, almost anything goes. The referee's primary
responsibility is simply to determine a winner. The environment itself becomes
a weapon."
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"This is exactly the kind of match Terrible Herse wanted when he won that
championship. There are no style points tonight, Mike. Just survival."
The arena
lights brighten as an energetic rock anthem fills the building.
The crowd
responds with an enthusiastic ovation.
OVALTINE
JACKSON!
Ovaltine
bursts through the curtain, pumping both fists high into the air before
pointing toward the cheering fans. He paces across the stage for a moment,
soaking in the atmosphere before breaking into a jog down the entrance ramp.
Along the
way, he slaps hands with fans on both sides of the aisle, feeding off their
energy as chants of "OVAL-TINE! OVAL-TINE!" begin echoing
throughout the arena.
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"This is the biggest opportunity of Ovaltine Jackson's HCW career. Tonight
he has a chance to leave Live Wire as the Hardcore Champion."
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"He's got the support of these fans, but support doesn't help much once
chairs, tables, and whatever else gets involved. Capital Chaos Rules isn't for
the faint of heart."
Ovaltine
circles the ring before climbing onto the apron.
He steps
through the ropes and climbs the nearest turnbuckle, raising both arms to
another loud ovation before dropping back to the canvas.
His
expression changes.
The smile
disappears.
He turns
his full attention toward the entrance.
The arena
lights suddenly die.
Darkness.
Then...
A single
funeral bell echoes throughout the building.
...GONG...
A cold
mist begins rolling across the entrance stage.
The arena
is bathed in an eerie pale-blue glow.
Another
bell.
...GONG...
Then...
A slow,
haunting organ melody begins playing.
The crowd
immediately erupts into boos.
From
within the fog...
A lone
silhouette appears.
The HCW
Hardcore Championship rests across one shoulder.
His head
hangs low.
TERRIBLE
HERSE.
The
champion slowly raises his head, revealing the faint, unsettling smile that had
chilled Candace Hart only moments earlier.
He begins
his deliberate walk toward the ring.
Every step
is measured.
Every
movement deliberate.
He never
acknowledges the audience.
Never
looks toward Ovaltine.
His eyes
remain fixed on the Hardcore Championship resting on his shoulder.
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"There may not be a more unnerving entrance anywhere in Heritage
Championship Wrestling. Terrible Herse doesn't carry himself like a
champion..."
"He
carries himself like an executioner."
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"That's because he believes this championship belongs to the last man
willing to keep fighting. If Ovaltine wants that title, he's going to have to
survive the kind of punishment most people spend their careers trying to
avoid."
Terrible
Herse reaches ringside.
He slowly
ascends the steel steps.
Pausing on
the apron, he looks across the ring for the first time.
Ovaltine
doesn't flinch.
The two
men lock eyes.
The
champion steps over the top rope and enters the ring.
He
carefully removes the Hardcore Championship from his shoulder before holding it
high in the air.
The crowd
responds with a mixture of boos and anticipation.
Tony
"Echo" Calibur steps into the center of the ring.
Tony
"Echo" Calibur:
"Ladies and gentlemen..."
"The
following contest is scheduled for one fall..."
"And
it is for... the HCW HARDCORE CHAMPIONSHIP..."
The crowd
erupts.
Tony
gestures toward Ovaltine.
"Introducing
first... the challenger..."
"From
Richmond, Virginia..."
"Weighing
in at 236 pounds..."
"OVALTINE...
JACKSON!"
The crowd
roars as Ovaltine raises one fist into the air.
Tony then
turns toward the champion.
"And
his opponent..."
"He
is the reigning... defending... HCW HARDCORE CHAMPION..."
"From
Black Hollow Cemetery..."
"Weighing
in at 287 pounds..."
"TERRIBLE...
HERSE!"
Terrible
slowly raises the championship overhead one final time before handing it to the
referee.
The
official presents the title to all four sides of the arena before placing it on
the timekeeper's table.
Both
competitors move to the center of the ring.
The
referee gives the final instructions.
Neither
man breaks eye contact.
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"The stage is set. Capital Chaos Rules. The Hardcore Championship.
Ovaltine Jackson looking to shock the world, and Terrible Herse determined to
begin what he hopes will be a long and destructive reign."
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"Somebody's walking out with the Hardcore Championship, Mike."
"The
question is..."
"Will
they be walking out under their own power?"
The
referee looks at both competitors...
Then
signals for the opening bell.
The moment
the opening bell rang, Terrible Herse reminded everyone why he had become the
HCW Hardcore Champion.
The
challenger barely had time to establish himself before Herse scooped him up and
drove him violently into the canvas with a crushing Casket Drop,
immediately asserting his dominance.
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"The champion wastes absolutely no time! Terrible Herse is trying to make
good on every unsettling promise he made just moments ago."
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"This isn't a wrestling match to him, Mike. It's exactly what he called
it... a procession."
Ovaltine
refused to stay buried.
The
challenger answered with a springboard back elbow before following with a giant
hip toss that briefly knocked the champion off balance.
The crowd
sensed momentum shifting.
Then...
Chaos.
As both
men charged toward one another, Terrible Herse accidentally caught the referee
with a wild cherry axe handle, sending the official crashing to the canvas.
The arena
erupted.
With no
referee able to maintain order, Capital Chaos Rules truly lived up to their
name.
Ovaltine
connected with a thunderous spinebuster.
Terrible
answered with another devastating Casket Drop.
Ovaltine
fired back with Drink Your Ovaltine.
Terrible
countered with the crushing Burial Rotation.
The
referee remained motionless.
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"The referee is down! There's nobody to restore order!"
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"Under Capital Chaos Rules, these two aren't stopping for anybody!"
When the
referee finally recovered, the pace somehow became even more intense.
Ovaltine
strung together three consecutive springboard back elbows, each one bringing
the challenger closer to what would have been a monumental upset. He followed
with another spinebuster before both men exchanged heavy strikes in the center
of the ring.
Neither
competitor could create lasting separation.
Terrible's
power.
Ovaltine's
resilience.
Back and
forth they battled.
The
champion repeatedly planted Ovaltine with Casket Drops and Burial Rotations.
The
challenger answered with an Oscar Sitout Rear Mat Slam, Jammin' Jacks, and the
devastating Director's Cut Powerslam, bringing the audience to its feet
as they believed a title change might actually be within reach.
Then...
Disaster
struck again.
Another
errant swing from Terrible Herse incapacitated the referee for a second time.
The crowd
groaned.
For
several more minutes there was nobody to count a fall.
Nobody to
stop the punishment.
Nobody to
save either man from the increasingly brutal environment.
Terrible
took full advantage.
A vicious
Singapore cane shot echoed throughout the arena before he trapped Ovaltine in
the suffocating Closed Casket, wearing the challenger down with every
passing second.
Still...
Ovaltine
refused to quit.
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"What heart from Ovaltine Jackson! He just refuses to stay down!"
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"Heart is admirable, Mike... but eventually your body starts making
decisions for you."
The
referee finally returned just as Terrible caught Ovaltine with another crushing
Casket Drop.
One...
Two...
Ovaltine
somehow kicked out.
The crowd
exploded.
Moments
later, Ovaltine stunned the champion with another Drink Your Ovaltine,
earning an incredibly close two-count of his own before Terrible barely
escaped.
The
audience rose to its feet.
This had
become a war.
Then came
the decisive sequence.
Terrible
launched himself from the ropes, crashing down with the devastating Pallbearer's
Drop.
He hooked
the leg.
One...
Two...
Three!
The bell did
not ring.
Instead,
the referee immediately began administering the Capital Chaos Rules knockout
count.
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"Remember the rules! Ovaltine has been pinned, but under Capital Chaos
Rules he has four rounds to score a pinfall or submission of his own—or this
championship match ends by knockout!"
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"Now this is where championships are earned!"
The
exhausted challenger desperately tried to rally.
He
connected with another Oscar Sitout Rear Mat Slam.
He
absorbed a shot from Terrible's hidden ledger.
He
attempted one final springboard back elbow.
Terrible
saw it coming.
The
champion stepped aside.
BIG
BOOT!
Ovaltine
crashed to the mat.
Barely
conscious.
Terrible
never let up.
One final Burial
Rotation slammed the challenger violently into the canvas.
The
referee watched closely.
Ovaltine
tried...
He reached
for the ropes...
Attempted
to pull himself upward...
But his
body simply wouldn't respond.
The
official completed the ten-count.
The bell
sounded.
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"It's over! Terrible Herse retains the Hardcore Championship by
knockout!"
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"That's exactly why he's the Hardcore Champion! Ovaltine Jackson threw
everything he had at Terrible Herse, but in the end... the champion literally
beat him unconscious!"
Terrible
Herse slowly rose from the canvas.
He
accepted the Hardcore Championship without celebration.
Without
emotion.
He simply
draped the title over his shoulder before looking down at the fallen Ovaltine
Jackson.
A faint
smile crossed his face.
He gave a
slow, almost respectful nod...
Then
quietly walked away as medical personnel entered the ring to attend to the
battered challenger.
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"An incredible effort from Ovaltine Jackson tonight, but the Hardcore
Championship remains in the possession of one of the most frightening
competitors in HCW. Terrible Herse survives another brutal battle."
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"If this is what his first title defense looked like... I don't envy the
next person brave enough to challenge him."
As
Terrible Herse slowly disappears behind the curtain with the HCW Hardcore
Championship draped over his shoulder, the camera returns to the commentary
desk where Mike Johnson and Johnny Harris look on.
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"What a night here on Live Wire. Terrible Herse survives his first
Hardcore Championship defense in a brutal Capital Chaos Rules match, but give
all the credit in the world to Ovaltine Jackson. He pushed the champion to his
absolute limit."
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"Ovaltine earned a lot of respect tonight, Mike, but respect doesn't put
championships around your waist. Terrible Herse proved exactly why he's holding
that Hardcore Title, and after what we witnessed tonight, I don't know who'll
be eager to step into the ring with him next."
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"Earlier tonight we also witnessed an impressive Proving Grounds debut
from R.A.M. Shortage, Biceps Bannerman answered Cassius King's post-Meltdown
attack, Joy Monroe picked up a huge victory over Veronica Flame, Dr. Red Fang
continued his dominant run, and Dorian Vire earned another hard-fought victory
over Matches Malone."
Johnny
"The Hammer" Harris:
"And don't forget Zack Brown. Reign of Champions just became even bigger
after he officially invoked his World Championship rematch against Dominic
Marconi. That one is going to be must-see television."
Mike
"The Voice" Johnson:
"The road to Reign of Champions continues, and if tonight proved anything,
it's that every victory... every rivalry... and every championship matters here
in Heritage Championship Wrestling."
"For
Johnny 'The Hammer' Harris, I'm Mike 'The Voice' Johnson saying thank you for
joining us. We'll see you next week for another exciting edition of HCW Live
Wire."
The camera
shows one final shot of fans cheering throughout the arena before fading to the
Live Wire logo as the broadcast comes to a close.
