HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2025 #1165 – 12/03 - HCW After Dark

“Hello Wrestling fans and welcome back to another episode of the HCW Wrestling Newsletter. I’m Walter ‘Wally’ Pressman standing in for JR Holland who enjoying a nice break. Tonight, we are going to recap something that transpired after Velocity went off the air. At the time, only the live audience got to see this but now, we will bring you the segment in it’s entirely. Let’s get right to it.”

Special Segment – “The Consulting Detectives Arrive”

After the Velocity cameras stopped rolling, the arena goes dark. A single spotlight hits the entrance ramp as the big screen flickers to life with the words:

A gasp moves through the crowd like a chill. Cell phones flicker to life. For a long, uneasy moment, the only sound is the low hum of the power cycling.

Then—
BOOM.

A single white spotlight slams onto the entrance ramp.

The big screen sputters and then stabilizes, displaying an ornate Victorian font:

“When shadows cloud the truth… the investigators arrive.”

The crowd buzzes. Ringside commentators, though off-air, are still mic’d for house audio.

Sam Duffy:
"Uh… folks, I don’t know what’s happening, but this wasn’t on the rundown."

Rick Granger:
"Voltage’s over, but something’s still goin’ down."

Out walks Gardinia Blue, crisp in her signature suit, a manila folder tucked under her arm. The crowd gives her a respectful cheer — the fans know that whenever Gardinia steps forward, evidence follows. She pauses at the top of the ramp, then raises a hand.

The crowd cheers—not loudly, but respectfully. The way fans cheer for someone holding the missing piece of a puzzle no one else can solve.

She stands at the top of the ramp, inhales, and raises her free hand.

Gardinia Blue:
“For weeks, I have been piecing together the scattered fragments of a conspiracy older than HCW itself.

I have followed trails no one else dared touch.  I have pieced together the scattered fragments of a conspiracy older than HCW itself.  And I told you…

I told you I was not working alone.”

She gestures to the curtain. To a stunned crowd reaction, Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson emerge, dressed in their classic Victorian attire, moving with purpose. Holmes scans the crowd with that sharp, analytical gaze, while Watson clutches his notebook, every inch the reliable chronicler.

Holmes shakes Gardinia’s hand as they walk to the ring together. Once inside, Holmes takes the microphone.

Sherlock Holmes:
“Several months ago, Ms. Blue reached out… across time, distance, and reason.  She sought not merely strength—she sought clarity.  She sought deduction.  And together, Watson and I have uncovered records your Dominion has tried desperately to bury, Count Vlad. Genealogies. Blood rites. Hidden histories. The truth regarding the Five Houses of Dracula. We know them now. And we know where the bloodlines intersect.”

A murmur spreads across the arena. The crowd realizes: this isn’t a simple storyline beat.  This is the next chapter of a war.

Watson steps forward, firm and resolute.

Dr. John Watson:
“And we’ve only just begun. Every house leaves a trail — a body, a scar, a witness. The Dominion thrives in shadows, but we mean to drag you into the light.”

The crowd cheers—but before the sound can peak—

A distinct orchestral flourish hits the speakers.

Then a second theme. Elegant. Precise. European.

The tron displays a silhouette with immaculate posture.  The audience collectively realizes who it is seconds before he steps onto the stage.

Hercule Poirot emerges, dressed in perfection—every button aligned, bowler hat angled just so. His cane taps in a controlled, rhythmic pattern down the ramp as if marking time on a metronome.  Holmes’s jaw tightens—ever so slightly.  Poirot climbs the steps and pauses, letting his presence settle.

Hercule Poirot:
“Pardon, mes amis…
but you have overlooked one very important detail.”

He taps his temple.

“For what is deduction… without order? Without symmetry? Without the little grey cells working in harmony?

“You chase shadows.  You sift chaos.  But Poirot…

Poirot seeks perfection.  And perfection always leads to the truth that no one else dares to see.”

Holmes raises an eyebrow, his voice cool and cutting.

Sherlock Holmes:
“Order without deduction is vanity, monsieur.  A man polishing furniture while the house burns.”

Hercule Poirot (smirking):
“And deduction without order is chaos, mon cher. A man sprinting through a maze with no map.
Be careful not to lose the thread.”

The two detectives square off, the tension simmering, until Gardinia thrusts the manila folder between them.

Gardinia Blue:
“Gentlemen, enough. Your methods may differ, but your purpose is the same — to expose the Dark Dominion…to end Vlad’s reign of deception.   The case is no longer theory. It’s evidence. The names, the ties, the Five Houses… all here. And next week, Vlad will answer for it.”

The crowd erupts. But before they can celebrate, the arena plunges into blackness. The Dominion sigil flashes crimson on the screen.

Count Vlad (voice, dripping with contempt):
“Detectives, investigators, little truth-seekers… how amusing. You think you have unraveled a puzzle, when in fact you have stepped into a labyrinth. A labyrinth where I designed every wall.  Every shadow.  Every dead end.”

The sigil pulses brighter.

“There are no exits. There is no light. There is only the Dominion…and the truth that I decide.”

A hiss of cold air sweeps across the crowd.

“But by all means, Gardinia… bring your folder, bring your detectives, your theories, your evidence.  Bring your truth. It will all burn in the end.”

The screen fades. A final pulse of red flashes across the arena before the lights return.

Holmes stands rigid, jaw set.
Watson raises his fists, ready for an attack.
Poirot adjusts his mustache, muttering in French under his breath.
The crowd roars as Gardinia holds the folder high, Holmes and Watson stand stoic, Poirot straightens his mustache.

The entire arena trembles with anticipation.

The Dark Dominion has been challenged.

And for the first time…
it might actually be afraid.

Walter “Wally” Pressman:
"
…Well… folks… I don’t think anyone in this building is breathing normally yet.

He exhales slowly, almost laughing at the sheer weight of what just unfolded.

Walter “Wally” Pressman:
J.R. Holland is taking a well-earned break this week, and she leaves me the keys for one night… and THIS is what walks through the door. Sherlock Holmes. Dr. Watson. Hercule Poirot. Three of the greatest minds in the history of investigative fiction — all stepping into HCW because the Dark Dominion has crossed a line even they couldn’t ignore.”

He taps the desk lightly, shaking his head in disbelief.

Walter “Wally” Pressman:
“Gardinia Blue didn’t just bring backup… she brought an
entire era of detectives into Vlad’s backyard. And after that message from the Count?”

He shivers theatrically.

Walter “Wally” Pressman:
“Let me tell you something — I’ve covered this industry a long time. I was here for the rise, the glory, the chaos of the Dark Dominion… but I have never…
never… seen Vlad rattle the lights and shake the walls just because someone showed him a folder.”

He leans closer to the camera.

Walter “Wally” Pressman:
“That tells me everything.
He heard them.
He saw them.
And for the first time in a long while…
the Count might actually feel the pressure.

Wally straightens his tie.

Walter “Wally” Pressman:
“We don’t know what happens next. We don’t know what’s in Gardinia’s file. We don’t know which ‘Five Houses’ stand between Holmes, Watson, Poirot, and whatever truth Vlad thinks he owns.”

He offers a small, nervous grin.

Walter “Wally” Pressman:
“But I
do know this—
Next week?
Next week isn’t just another show.
It’s the start of something big… and something dangerous.”

He gathers his papers.

Walter “Wally” Pressman:
“For
J.R. Holland, who’ll be back soon… I’m Walter ‘Wally’ Pressman, and this has been a special edition of HCW After Dark. Stay safe out there… look both ways… and if you see a detective in a bowler hat?”

He smirks.

Walter “Wally” Pressman:
“You might want to ask him what he knows about Count Vlad.”

He nods firmly to the camera.

Walter “Wally” Pressman:
“Good night, wrestling fans.”
