Hello wrestling fans and welcome to another installment of the HCW Wrestling Newsletter. Critical Mass is finally here and tonight, we kick off our 4 day PPV spectacular. The event is completely sold out and fans are practically hanging from the rafters as they pack in to see HCW’s finest compete. Tonight, we will have the Jeff Meyers Memorial Battle Royal for the men with the winner getting the gold cup – a cup that allows them to get unlimited refills of their preferred non-alcoholic beverage for a whole year. This year, the women will also compete for one also.
Also
on the card today, Duke Knight and Negroplis will face off in a specialty match
where the winner will get a shot at Evan Stockwell’s TV title tomorrow. Finally, the main event will have the Six Man
Tag Team Champions the Albano Family (Aldo and Carlo Albano with Rigg A Mortis)
with their manager Pierre Boulay taking on the powerhouse combo of ‘the Italian
Thoroughbred’ Dominic Marconi, Alejandro Guerrero and ‘the Magnificent One’
Juan Raul Fargo for the titles but the losers will be forced to leave HCW. With so much at stake and a solid, packed
event, let’s get this show started.

The
HCW World Champion the Wicked Prophet repeats again this year to become the
winner of the Gold Cup. Looks like he is
true to his word about accumulating gold cups as well as HCW
Championships. After the event, there
was some backstage altercations between Joe Sanders, Noah Murphy and Apollo
Gyze. Max squashed that pretty quickly
and will put them in a triple threat match on Day 3.

There
was also an altercation between Dennis Marshall and Madman Mason. Mason issued Dennis a challenge for his spot
for the US title. Dennis agreed to put
the match on the line. This will take
place tomorrow night.
Match #3: Duke Knight vs Negropolis for a shot at the
TV title
Negropolis,
the man who was eliminated by Duke came out first to a chorus of booing. He flipped off the fans as he made his way to
the ring. He jaw jacks with fans at
ringside before finally entering the ring.
Negropolis announces that the rules for tonight’s match will be “Brody
Brawl” rules (as a tribute to the late, great Bruiser Brody). The music changes and the fans pop as Duke
Knight makes his way out. He shakes
hands with the fans as he makes his way into the ring. The two waste no time and this one begins
immediately.
In a high-stakes wrestling match between fan
favorite Duke Knight and his arch-rival Negropolis, the winner earning the
right to challenge Evan Stockwell for the TV title, tensions ran high from the
first bell. The match showcased an intense back-and-forth battle of skill and
resilience.
Duke Knight and Negropolis traded signature moves,
with Duke delivering powerful uppercuts and high-flying maneuvers like the
Shooting Star Press, while Negropolis countered with swift kicks and
devastating slams. Despite Duke's early offensive dominance, Negropolis managed
to fend off multiple pin attempts, displaying remarkable resilience.
As the match progressed, the momentum shifted
between the two competitors. Duke Knight continued to press his advantage, but
Negropolis refused to stay down, countering Duke's offense with calculated
strikes and impactful moves of his own. Despite Duke's relentless assault,
Negropolis showcased incredible durability, enduring punishment and narrowly
escaping pinfalls.
In a dramatic turn of events, Duke Knight unleashed
a flurry of attacks, culminating in a decisive Flying Fivearm that left
Negropolis unable to continue. With a ten-count from the referee, Duke Knight
emerged victorious, securing the opportunity to face Evan Stockwell for the TV
title.
The match was a testament to the skill and
determination of both wrestlers, with Duke Knight ultimately prevailing through
sheer determination and a relentless offensive onslaught, earning a hard-fought
victory by knockout.
As
Duke was celebrating his win, he is immediately attacked by Evan Stockwell who
seemed to appear out of nowhere. He
smashed Duke in the head with his briefcase busting Duke open. Refs were out there quickly to ensure no
additional damage was done. Duke got to
his feet and stared daggers at Evan who was walking/being escorted to the back
and laughing all the way (to the bank).
We
cut backstage for promos from both teams for our next match – the Main Event of
the Evening.

outmaneuver them, and when it's all said and done, we'll walk out of that ring

as for the stipulation that the losers must leave HCW? Well, let's just say
we're not planning on going anywhere. So, Aldo, Carlo, Rigg, Pierre, get ready,
because tonight, you're facing the fight of your lives."

the camera fades out, leaving the audience buzzing with anticipation for the
impending showdown.]
Match #4: The Main Event: Six Man Tag Team Match: The Albano Family vs Dominic, JR and
Alejandro. No DQ. Stipulation is set that whoever loses, they
must leave HCW.
Our
final match of the evening starts off with the fan favorites Dominic Marconi,
JR Fargo and Alejandro Guerrero making their way out to a huge pop from the
crowd. They take the time to interact
with the fans as they slowly make their way to the ring – ensuring they
interact with as many fans as possible.
Finally, after circling the ring, they enter and stand in the center of
the ring with their arms held high. The
music changes quickly and the Six Man Tag Team Champions – Aldo and Carlo
Albano with Rigg A Mortis and their manager Pierre Boulay make their way
out. They get the loudest boos of the
night. Pierre is carrying the portrait
of Capt. Lou and the champs have the titles slung over their shoulders. Tonight, one team walks out with the gold and
the others will be looking for work elsewhere.
The Albano Family got in the ring and made their way to different
corners and each champion held their belt high and the fans continued to voice
their displeasure. They stepped down and
handed the titles to the ref. Aldo and JR
are starting this one off so everyone else stepped to the outside of the ring
so the match could begin.

Family to become the NEW Six Man Tag Team Champions!!! This means that Carlo, Aldo and Rigg all must
leave HCW. The Albano Clan’s numbers
were just cut in half. The World Tag
Team Champions the New Sicilians (Dick and Vinnie Albano) and the Ladies
Champion Luciana Albano are all that are left along with Pierre. The family leave the ring and effectively (at
least for now) are out of HCW. The
winners celebrate in the ring as fans storm the ring to celebrate with their
heroes.
