Hello Wrestling Fans and welcome back to another installment of the HCW Wrestling Newsletter. Tonight is our Go Home show which will lead us right up to the Reigning Royalty PPV this Sunday. The show is sold out in anticipation of what will come next.
The
Omegatron lights up and it’s the Rock. The
fans pop huge. Rock does a standard
promo ragging on Hollywood and wrestlers from his generation. He makes it sound like he has to turn down
Dennis’ challenge but then he accepts which gets the fans whipped into a
frenzy. He finishes it with “If you
smellllll…what the Rock…is…cookin.”
Our
Go Home show tonight will feature two title matches and a steel cage handicap
match. The Steel Curtain accepted the
challenge of the Freedom Fighters and management decided that it too will take
place inside a Steel Cage. Lastly, the
US Championship will also be on the line as Texas Wildfire defends the title
against Wilber Townsend. All matches
will feature no-time limits to ensure there is a winner in each one.
First
up, Wilber Townsend comes out and makes his way to the ring. He is not wearing his freaky deaky mask. Wilber says that he got word that he was
getting this shot tonight and didn’t have time to summon his ‘other’ side. He says he’s not one to jerk the curtain
(curtain jerker refers to the first match of the evening) but whatever has to
happen, so be it. The music plays and
out comes Texas Wildfire. TW gets a very
loud pop from the crowd and makes his way to the ring shaking hands with the
fans. TW stops short and looks above the
ring at the steel cage hanging there. TW
says that if Wilber wants to make it interesting, they can have the cage lowered
and that way, Wilber doesn’t have to worry about his other personae. Wilber looks up and says “why not”. Texas Wildfire enters the ring as the cage is
lowered encasing them in 4 10’ high bars of steel.

and powerbombs him in the middle of the ring.
He then grabs TW’s foot and drags him to the hole. He pulls TW through the hole.

high and laughs maniacally. He then
heads to the back with his new title.
The ref asks for the cage to be raised.
He looks in the hole and says that no one is there. Where did TW and the clown go?
We
head to the back where Korbi Kong is with the Ladies Champion and her BFF
Violet Valkyrie. Korbi says that 2 on 1
in a steel cage is quite an undertaking but she is up to the challenge. Violet tells her that she is rooting for her
and if she were in Vegas, she’d be betting on her to win. Korbi tells her to remember that and once she
wins tonight, she is coming after Violet’s title. Korbi left and the smile that was on Violet’s
face began to fade.
The
mat is repaired and the Cummings Twins Betsy and Felicia make their way
out. They enter the ring through the
steel cage door and ask for a mic. They
say that they destroyed Korbi last time and this time, they will end her
career. “KORBI KONG SMASH” blares out of
the speakers and Korbi makes her way to the ring. She climbs the cage wall and enters from the
top of the cage. She then launched
herself on to her opponents 10 feet down taking them out with a flying body
press off the top of the cage. The match
then begins.

the victor. She shakes hands with a few
fans before making her way to the back.
In
the back, the Freedom Fighters say that they are going to destroy the Steel
Curtain once and for all. When they
become the most dominant tag team in HCW, they will set their sights on taking
over the superstar pro wrestling world.
Our
final match, and third one within the confines of the steel cage is ready to
begin. The Freedom Fighters – Justice and
Flash – come out first and are booed immensely.
They threaten the fans as they walk to the ring. They enter the cage through the door. They are standing around until the Steel
Curtain’s music hits but no one comes out.
Justice tells the ref he must say that the Steel Curtain have forfeited the
match and they are the new champs. The
lights then went out for about 30 seconds and when they came back on, Buzz and
Starbuck were standing in the middle of the ring. All four men started brawling and it took a
min or so for the ref to get control back.
Once he did, the match officially began.
