Hello fans and welcome back to another installment of the HCW Wrestling newsletter. We have an exciting show for your tonight. Phantom Frank begins his quest for revenge against Wilber Townsend as he takes on Wilber’s brother TNT. Casper Wyoming takes on the diabolical military man Col. Flagg. Korbi Kong takes on Sarona Reiher. The Six Man Tag Team Champions the Steel Curtain and Biceps Bannerman take on the Ambassador’s squad of Azrael, Barry Morningstar and Dr. Red Fang. In our main event, World Champion Jack Lumber defends his title against Muscles Thorpe.
The
show begins with pyro going off but we immediately cut backstage. Someone wearing a giant fox head attacked
Korbi Kong, threw a hood over her and dragged her to her car. She popped the trunk and dumped Korbi in
slamming the trunk shut. They removed
the giant head and it’s Maxine DeVito.
Maxine laughs an evil laugh before getting into the car and driving off.
Well,
that throws a wrench into things. We cut
over to GM Max McGillicutty’s office and he is calling the police to try to
locate Korbi. Hayley Hailstorm walks in
inquiring to what happened. Max told her
and then said her match is up in the air.
Hayley offered to take the match.
Max agreed and Hayley left to get ready for the match.
We
head to the ring for our first match.
First, Col. Flagg makes his way out with a microphone. “ATTENNSHUN MAGGOTS” he yells and walks to
the ring as the fans boo the crap out of him.
He gets into the ring and yells at the fans. The music changed and out comes Casper
Wyoming. The fans give him a nice pop
and he makes his way out. He shakes
hands with the fans as he heads to the ring.
He climbs in and looks once at Flagg as he goes to the corner, climbs
the turnbuckle and pumps his arms into the air.
Flagg hits him from behind with clubbing forearm smashes and the match
begins. Flagg had control of the match
for the first 8 minutes but then Casper took over and never looked back. Flagg was lucky he could remain on his feet
as Casper took him off his feet every chance he got. Finally, at the 17th minute,
Casper hits Flagg with a Roulette Punch and he went for the pin securing the
1-2-3. Casper gets the win and the fans
give him a nice pop. He leaves and heads
to the back. Flagg complained to the ref
but it fell on deaf ears. Flagg
eventually stormed to the back.
TNT
and Wilber Townsend are backstage being interviewed. Wilber
says that the masked man known as Phantom Frank has bitten off more than he can
chew. Wilber says that eventually he
will get in the ring with Frank but before that happens, TNT wants a shot at him. Templeton will soften him up and then Wilber
will go in for the kill.
We
head back to the ring for our next match.
First, Hayley Hailstorm comes out and the fans give her a huge pop. She slaps hands with the fans and then runs
to the ring sliding under the bottom rope.
She climbs the turnbuckle but her music is abruptly cut off as Sarona
Reiher comes out. She makes her way to
the ring as the fans boo her. She gets
on the mic and laughs that Korbi was stupid enough to get abducted and Hayley
is stupid enough to take her place in the ring.
Hayley gets in her face and slaps the mic out of her hand. They then start to brawl as the bell rings
starting the match. The match was pretty
even and at the 13 minute mark, Hayley hits the Flirting with Danger knee but
Sarona catches her with a superkick.
Sarona then rolled up Hayley and with a handful of tights, she gets the
1-2-3. Sarona steals a win and then runs
around the ring gloating. She passed by
Hayley mocking her for losing and Hayley hits her with the What the Hail. Sarona is out cold. The fans pop huge as Hayley leaves the ring, the
clear victor of this encounter. Sarona
eventually wakes up and then rolls out of the ring storming to the back looking
for Hayley.
The
Ambassador and his goons are backstage.
He says that the Steel Curtain and Bannerman have never experienced a
force of nature as violent as his squad.
He says tonight, his team walks out with gold.
We’re
back at ringside for our next match. The
lights start to dim and a purple light fills the arena. Phantom Frank comes out and receives a nice
ovation from the crowd. He makes his way
to the ring and enters through the ropes.
He continues to psyche up the crowd until AC/DC’s TNT starts to play but
it’s abruptly shut off as Max shows up on the Omegatron stating that HCW does
not have the rights to play the music.
TNT storms down to the ring and gets in Frank’s face. The match begins. The match starts off slow but eventually
Frank controls the match. It went longer
than expected but Frank was able to secure the win after dropping TNT with the
Crane Kick (yes, like the one from Karate Kid).
He made the cover and got the 3 count.
As soon as Phantom Frank’s arm is raised, he is blindsided by Wilber
Townsend who, after beating Frank down, hit him with the GTS. Frank was out cold. TNT and Wilber stood over Frank’s prone form
laughing unit Frank sat up and stared at his nemesis. TNT and Wilber (the master cerebral assassin)
bolt out of the ring caught total unaware.
Frank gets to his feet and issues a challenge to Wilber. The Townsends cautiously backed up the ramp
never taking their eyes off of Frank.
Frank stays a bit to interact with the fans before making his way
backstage. (22 min)
The
Six Man Tag Team Champions the Steel Curtain and Biceps Bannerman are being interviewed. Buzz states that the Ambassador has his head
in the clouds. They have dominated the
division every time they hold the titles.
Tonight will be no different.
Starbuck says that Devastation Inc falls tonight. Biceps says he will crush them and they will
be ‘just another victim’. Buzz and
Starbuck lean in and say ‘Word’.
Our
co-main event is ready to get underway.
The Ambassador comes out leading his new team Devastation, Inc
consisting of Dr. Red Fang, the fallen Angel Azrael and the brother to the
devil himself, Barry Morningstar. The
trio are booed heavily as they make their way to the ring. Dr. Red Fang nearly bit a fan who stuck their
hand out trying to grab them. Azrael and
Barry laughed as the fan recoiled in terror.
They made their way into the ring and continued to taunt the fans. The music changed and the Six Man Tag Team
Champions made their way out. The fans
pop huge for them. Buzz Starbuck and Biceps
come out and soak in the adulation of the fans.
They then began the walk to the ring.
They each climbed a turnbuckle and held their titles high. Eventually, they handed the titles to the ref
and the match was ready to get underway.

The
Champs get the win and retain their titles but the Ambassador isn’t happy and
has Devastation reign destruction on the champs. Fang hits Buzz with a Transylvania
Piledriver, Barry drags Biceps out of the ring and hurls him into the steel
post and Azrael hits Starbuck with the Darkness. The Ambassador stands over the fallen champs
and says he demands a rematch where the so-called champs can’t hide. He says that he will sick his team on them
until the end of time until they agree to a rematch. Devastation Inc then leave. The ref helps the champs to their feet. Buzz gets on the mic and says the rematch
will happen.
As
we prepare for our main event, we head backstage with World Champion Jack
Lumber. Jack says that he’s proud to be
the People’s Champion and says he will not shy away from any challenge be it
from a member of the Muscles, the US Champion King Rad Gumbo or the diabolical
Wicked Prophet. With the fans and
especially the Lumber Lounge behind him, he will put them first.
It’s
time for our main event. The Muscles
Trio come out wearing their rainbow colored bull horns and carrying their boxes
of Booty O’s. Muscles Thorpe shakes
hands with his teammates and heads to the ring to a nice pop from the
crowd. He gets into the ring and
continues to get the crowd excited for their match. Next, the loudspeakers blast out “Choppin
Wood and Lookin Good” and out comes the World Champion Jack Lumber to a HUGE
pop from the crowd. He stops by the
Lumber Lounge and shakes hands with all his fans and then heads to the
ring. Once in the ring, he climbs the
turnbuckle and holds the title high. The
fans pop louder. He steps down and hands
the title to the ref so the match can begin.
